Within the majestic lands of which free wild horses roam, two great herds conquer two halves of territory making the land. These two powerful herds are named, the Western Herd and the Eastern Herd. The Western Herd takes up the western plains of the land. Its terrain is mainly flat grassy plains, with narrow rivers and an occasional watering hole. Trees form small patches of woodlands and hills roll beautifully in this territory. In the Eastern Herd, forests and mountains are main features of this territory. Large lakes, streaming rivers, and trickling creeks put an abundence of water supply for the horses. Lush mossy trees surrounding snow capped mountains take most of the eastern land. Though, the wild horses aren't the only animals that live here. Wolves, cougars, bears and lynx travel through these parts, making the herd alert for danger at all costs. Although these two unmatching herds of many breeds have both beautiful different territories to guard, one common thing they share is the order of the herd. Ranks are the same and must be chosen wisely.

Western Herd

Lead horses: (each herd does NOT have to have two leaders)

Second in Command:( this rank cannot be openly chosen. the leader will choose later in the story)

Warriors: Many horses, including mares can be a warrior or defender of the herd. This includes fighting off rival horses or threats.

Night Watchers: Many horses can be a Night Watcher. These horses patrol the territory border during night time, remarking the border line and fighting off intruders all at night. These horses of course, rest during the day.

Healers: Only three horses can be a healer. Genders don't matter and remember, the Herd Law doesn't allow them to have foals. They tend the wounded in the herd. Even help birth foals.

Queens: Mares who are expecting or nursing foals

Apprentices: Young horses who are training to become either a Night Watcher, a Warrior or a Healer. Whichever they choose.
