Introduction
The Order of the Storm, a group particularly vocal in the magic hate, got its greasy grip in the government. Within months, the Arcane Containment Unit, ACU, attacked the country's most booming magic market just outside of Birmington, where the feud between the magical and the mundane burned at its hottest. It was a massacre. Those that weren't killed on sight, were arrested and sent to "Magical Rehabilitation Camps" or publicly executed. Within a week, magic was outlawed.
Two years since the massacre, The Shadow Fighters, a magic extremist group, has been causing trouble around the URA and once again raising the tension. While they cause a ruckus on the surface, those of us in The Dragon Order work behind the scenes, fighting when we can but always putting the safety of others first. While we're able to do what we can, it is never enough. Will we ever live freely again?

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 5 authors
"You are needed in Commander Irongate's office."
Her heart raced. She knew she wouldn't be able to get away with what happened unscathed, but she hoped... No. She shook her head. She wasn't going to get discharged. Even if she was, she wasn't going to leave a sniveling, angry mess. Still, she couldn't deny that Commander Irongate was an intimidating woman. She didn't become the commander for being nice. She slowed as she rounded the corner, the normal enough door at the end of the hall looking back at her intimidatingly. She took a deep breath. It was just a door, just a woman, just a normal day. What she did was justified; she had nothing to worry about. Too soon, she reached the door. Too soon, her hand was on the handle.
With a deep breath, she opened the office door. Immediately across from her, the intimidating Alice Irongate looked up from her large, mahogany desk at the girl. A lone light lit her face. The rest of the office was dark, a stark contrast from the bright hallway. All around the room, various maps, notices, and white boards were hung, though in the darkness Kyra couldn't make out what they said. In front of the desk, two, simple chairs sat, waiting.
"Welcome," Alice said, her stern face unchanging, "please have a seat while we wait for the others." Others? Alice slowly stepped forward and lowered herself into a chair, and waited.
In this instance, he stood before an Obstacle course, crouching before a white line that had the word 'Start' imprinted at the top. A fellow D.O. soldier stood next to him, and unholstered a blank-filled SW-40 revolver. He aimed at the ceiling, and clicked the trigger, and the Assassin rushed towards the Obstacle course. Due to the RPer's laziness, Ahmir easily got through the first half of the Obstacle course.
At this point, the next half were magic automated dummies that lashed at him with metallic maces. One Metalic Dummy swung a mace directly at Ahmir, but the swift rogue only slid under the strike. He got up and continued sprinting. However, the official DO announcement causes his phone to activate its 'Ezio's Family' ringtone. Ahmir frowns, and pulls out his phone to simply identify what's the notification for. Though, the Assassin only did this whilst running. He did not pay attention as a mechanical dummy slams Ahmir's jaw with its metal mace. Ahmir grunts and falls onto his back while resuming his motion, skidding across the floor and only on his back.
Ahmir groaned in disappointment as he came to a stop, and the automated magic announcer shouter said "DISQUALIFIED!"
He stood up and looked at the fellow DO Soldier.
"You wasted my fucking blanks for a dumb text?!" The Soldier called out to Ahmir.
"Look man, I'll pay you back later at the Commons." Ahmir muttered in his exotic accent. His accent was heavier than the sands of the Sahara desert, yet stained with Sophistication.
"And besides, it was a text from Commander Irongate." Ahmir added on.
"Hah, you're fucked. I'll talk to you later after they clean up your ashes."
The Fallen Angel Assassin only frowned as his 'comrade' cackled at his possible demise.
He looked at the exit and simply utilized his superior Aasimar Speed and Agility while sprinting. The Assassin zoomed past many practicing soldiers, dodging several dulled blades and warriors at the same time. Within seconds, he went through the exit but gripped the right door-frame to help him turn right. The Assassin saw the window and immediately dived out of the window. As he let Earth's Gravity pull him down, he threw his Grappling Chaindart at the Sanctuary Building, allowing him to swing back into the Sanctuary Building's first floor window-purely by luck. The assassin flew through the opened window, and before the window were a long set of stairs. The fool forgot to account for them, and rolled down the stairs. He got to the Commander's level, and rolled through the Commander's door, landing on his feet and in front of the commander's desk, stumbling a bit. He stood next to Ryan, and Kyra, slightly shook.
He knocked over a vial of some green liquid. "no no NO!" he cried as it starts eating away at his table. "I'll never hear the end of this from the Commander," he said, as his journal was also sprawled on the floor along with glass vials and various ingredients.
This journal was his ingredient book, all the different kinds of potions where there so that he could almost simulate magic. Some effects range from causing illusory sounds to increasing jump height. At the first few pages of the book was some of his childhood sketches of "The Great Thunderbolt"
Aiden adored but also feared the Commander, he always marveled at her abilities as a witch, "oh well" He says, while looking at one of the vials. "It's time to get going."
Walking down the corridor, Aiden realized he had never really been called directly to the office, he usually was tasked with healing the wounded and making health potions for people that pass through The Sanctuary.
Suddenly, a rush of Joy overcomes him as he walked up into the office.
He opens the door.
"Hi my name is Aiden Hardstoname, don't be fooled by the white hair, I'm 25"
“Oof!”, It was like she walked into a brick wall. Addie looked up to see a tall man in uniform, who didn’t look too pleased. “Sorry, sir..” She started. “I’m looking for Commander Irongate’s office..” The man shook his head and pointed down the hall. “Room on your left.”, was all he said before walking off.
Addie reached the door and slowly opened it, making it creak loudly. Biting her lip she hurried over to Krya’s side. The room was filled with unfamiliar faces other than her redhead friend. Addie couldn’t speak. Embarrassment and nervous made her stomach turn.
The tall, muscular woman stood up as one by one, the new members of Squadron 818 filed in. She slowly walked around to the front of her desk, eyeing each of the soldiers.
"Hello everyone," she began. Her voice was firm and strong. It demanded to be heard but not unpleasant to listen to. At the sound of it, Kyra straightened her spine and pulled her shoulders back. Her eyes focused on the powerful woman intently.
"I'm sure you're all wondering why you're here. You all have proved yourselves in your individual fields. Though some of you do not have the cleanest record," she paused and made a pointed glance at Kyra, whose cheeks reddened, "I feel that all of you will be able to learn from one another. I would like you all to meet your fellow members of squadron 818."
A wide smile lit up Kyra's face as she looked to Addie. They were going to work together! She could barely keep herself from bouncing with excitement. This was way better than getting fired!
As Ryan entered the door to the right, he ran into Ahmir. He wondered if Ahmir would get along with him, for Ryan has trust issues. These trust issues aren't unreasonable, however, since Ryan had to deal with many criminals and dishonesty in the past, having worked for a government organized science and criminal justice department.
The assassin did feel guilty, he took pain in remembering that he misused his powers as a Fallen Aasimar during an interrogation upon an ACU Officer. The Officer was meant to be bargained for two high class High-Fey Wizards, but Ahmir took no mercy upon the ACU as he twisted The Officer's mind to his will to release as much information as possible. In the process, The Officer lost control of his mind, and lost the ability to speak thanks to Ahmir's torture technique.
Ahmir remembered the man's eyes rolling up, remembered his tongue hanging low and his head leaning back like a limp puppet. He realized how monstrous he as.
It was because of him, the two high class High-Fey Wizards were executed.
His fists clenched and his back straightened seconds after the Commander's Speech.
Aiden got adjusted to his surroundings, he's never seen much of the other parts of the Sanctuary as he was cooped up in either his room or the medical wing.
There where 3 other people in the room, an Assamir, a high fae, a wizard, and another witch.
Even though Aiden has seen many other magic users through the halls of the Sanctuary, he's never seen such a team of magic users up close, he also never thought that he would be working with them.

Why the Commander wanted her out in any mission at all right now blew her mind. The training she had done was almost a disaster. How she completed it at all was a mystery of its own. Actually, it went poorly enough she was surprised the Commander herself didn’t confine her to a cardboard box just to keep her out of everyone’s way.
"I decided to start you off with what should be a simple transport mission," she began, handing each member of the new squadron a manilla folder. Inside, paper full of information about each member in the transport, the route they would be taking, drivers, and any papers they might need should they run into an ACU patrol. Kyra began leafing through the folder, though kept an attentive ear on the commander.
"You will be transporting 10 refugees to the secured harbor in Daxbury. The journey should take no more than an hour. Now, keep in mind, all of you are human-passing, but the refugees are not." Alice paused and looked at the clock on her wall. "You leave in six hours. Meet at the south boarding docks. The refugee ship will leave at 01:00, so you should have plenty of time to get there." She walked around to the front of her desk once more and crossed her arms. "Any questions?"
He had a mischievous smirk, ready for combat and ready for cracking ACU skulls. Though, his smirk was a transparent smile.
Aiden was still shocked. Me…ME? For a job that requires ME to LEAVE the Sanctuary? Aiden's head swirled, Poison, Acid, Invisibility. The only real useful potion he could think of was an illusory potion.
“No problem! Easy peasy! We’ll get it done in record time. You can count on us, boss!”, she said with her chin raised and her arms crossed across her chest.
Kyra hugged the folder to her chest and turned to Addie. "Hey, teammate," she grinned, bumping the girl gently with her shoulder. "You seem excited."
"I've seen all of you in this Sanctuary, but I've never actually met you all in person. So, if you guys want, we can all sorta give a quick description of eachother?"
The Aasimar was definetly sure that his english wasn't the best, and perhaps the two female groupmates would just leave. However, he still wanted to atleast make this whole mission somewhat enjoyable.
He looks at the Aasamir: "I'd stay and chat but, I have to prepare, meet me outside." he says as he heads out of the room.
Rushing through witches and mages to make it to his room. The table still there, seemingly sinking into the ground as he goes into his cabinet to find ingredients for the potions. Tiger eyes, Tinklehot leaves, Dayshade flowers, shaved deer antlers, and several other ingredients which he stuffed into his backpack and started to head outside.

The commander moved back around her desk and watched as the soldiers left her office. She rubbed her temples. As long as they all cooperated, they'd be able to make the mission. However, given their records, that was exactly what she was worried about.
He walked into a room and noticed Ahmir sitting by himself. "Is this your first mission as a team too?" he asked.
"I've mainly been going Solo on my missions. So, yeah. It is." He shrugged.
"So, who are you exactly?" He stood up on his feet, now holstering the pistol into his left holster. He walked over to a weapon's rack and picked out a Sword from it. He then sheathed the Long-sword in his back sheathe, whilst looking at Ryan.
"And what's your mistake?" He crossed his arms, examining him closely.

Her cheeks burned red with embarrassment. The impression she was making probably wasn't the best, she was just so excited she could hardly contain it. She felt like a shaken bottle of soda, all bubbly and ready to pop.
"Do we get super cool nick names like super heroes or something?" the girl asked, instantly regretting such a silly question.
