Stevie Rae honestly couldn't believe that her parents and principal were sending her to this stupid camp. The people she didn't get along with, she had absolutely no dream of being able to get along with them. They were her enemies for a reason and there was no way she would find a way to change that.

Stevie climbed onto the bus and sat down in the seat beside her co-captain of the cheerleading squad, Ruby. She couldn't wait for the new school year to start so the two of them could begin training their fellow cheerleaders the routines they've been coming up with throughout the end of the previous school year and the ones they come up with during the summer. Outside of shopping and spending time with her closest friends, cheerleading was one of Stevie's biggest passions and she had no intention on trying to change that.

Everything about this summer was going to suck, she knew that. No internet, no phones, nothing but her peers and the environment surrounding them. "This is going to be so lame," Stevie stated to Ruby as she began to glance out the window as the bus continued down the road and picked up the rest of the students who were pretty much summoned to this summer hell.

Callum couldn't believe this. His summer plans were being cancelled because of this overly stupid requirement from Monroe High. It was bad enough he had to deal with these idiots during the school year, but now he had to spend the entire summer with them. At least he had Lucas, if it weren't for him he would probably be feeling worse about this summer than he already had been.

Though on another note, it would be a good way to be away from his home life. Everything was so chaotic back home, he just wouldn't be able to put up with it. Better here than back home, he thought to himself as he climbed onto the bus with a sigh. As he took his seat, he felt every student's eyes upon him.

Callum pulled out one of his books and leaned back against the seat and began reading. Callum wasn't a big reader, but during moments like this, it was always a way to get his mind off of everything that's been going on in his life. Which was always a good thing.

Bohnii was the first person on the bus, finding that she had first pick on the seats. She made her way all the way back to the last seat on the right and sat down before looking out the window. This was going to be nothing but hell. Not only would she have to spend all summer at a camp with no internet and shopping, but she had to associate herself with others who were so far below her on the high school pyramid. Bohnii would rather be back home shopping and being able to do whatever she wanted, just like she could every other time in her life.

The brunette began humming one of her favorite songs as the bus continued down the road. She watched as Ruby, Stevie, and Callum boarded the bus. Now Stevie and Ruby weren't all that bad, they were in the clique right below hers and could find herself comfortably socializing with the two girls without having a problem. Along with one of their fellow cheerleaders, Jade. Bohnii hadn't really spoken much with the blonde, but she could see herself socializing with her as well.

Callum and Lucas on the other hand, nothing more than emotional queers who want to gain attention in the stupidest of ways. Cutting themselves, listening to all the sad music, and always talking about all of that oh-poor-me-bullshit. There was no denying this was going to be one hell of a summer, and not in a good way.

ImageRuby leaned her head back against the seat. "Yeah, pretty much." She said, agreeing with Stevie. When the bus stopped to pick up the next student, Ruby cursed quietly, seeing her cousin, Micah, and his mother. Her eyes narrowed as she watched the two hug before Micah got on the bus. "Surprised you could let go of your mother's skirt for the whole summer.” She muttered, just loud enough for Stevie and Micah to hear as he passed by the seat she and Stevie were sharing. Micah glanced at her, a slight frown tugging on his lips, but didn’t say anything as he continued down the aisle. Ruby rolled her eyes, running a hand through her hair. She couldn’t stand her cousin, though truthfully it wasn’t really him she couldn’t stand, but the relationship he had with his mother, the kind she always wanted with hers. When she left the house this morning, everyone was still asleep. They didn’t even bother to get out of bed to say goodbye to her even though she’d be gone the entire summer.

ImageMicah hugged his mother tightly as the bus pulled up at the curb. He hated leaving his mom for the whole summer, but it couldn’t be avoided since this camp was mandatory. ”I’ll write you.” He assured her, since they weren’t allowed to have cellphones at camp. They probably weren’t allowed video games either, but he hid a few in his clothes anyway. There was no way he could survive the whole summer without his games. He turned and got onto the bus, smiling when he saw his cousin. ”H-“ He started to say as he approached her, but stopped, hearing her words. A slight frown tugged on his lips, he loved his cousin and wished they could be closer, but for some reason that he couldn’t understand, she seemed to hate him. He sighed quietly as he walked down the aisle to sit in a seat near the back, though not too far back as he spotted Bon, knowing it was best to stay clear of her as well. He sat down and leaned his head against the window, watching as his house got farther and farther away.

Jade looked at her parents and wanted to shout when they said she would be going to this stupid camp. This was all getting way too much. She wanted to waste the summer away shopping. Which she always did. Which she loved doing. She was so mad she decided to leave without saying much in protest.

She walked over to a spot to notice that her cheerleading friends were here. With that she smiled with a smirk. "Goshies!!! What are you two doing here?"

She said with a big smile on her face. At least she knew someone at least she was happy on that level. Her olive color ruffled top and her peach colored skirt matched her uneven emotions. She smiled at them wondering what ran through there heads.

In all honesty, Lucas was at least 99% sure he wasn't going to survive an entire summer with out internet connection. This camp was going to be the death of him, he thought to himself as he hugged his mother tightly in his arms. He knew that the second he let go of her he would have to climb on board the bus for the worst summer of his life, so he tried to hang on to her for as long as he could.

"Do I really have to go?" he questioned, giving her his famous puppy dog eyes as he pouted out his bottom lip. "If you let me stay home, I promise to do all the chores you want me to do all summer long. I'll be your own personal slave," he tried to bargain but he could tell by the look on his mother's face that none of his usual tricks were working on her. She had her mind set, and just like Lucas, whenever she had her mind set on something, she would get her way. Sighing dramatically, he gave his mom one last hug before pulling away and walking towards the bus, glancing over his shoulder and waving goodbye before climbing up the steps two at a time.

As soon as he set foot on the bus, he knew he was in for the worst summer of his life. His oceanic orbs gazed over several cheerleaders, a handful of kids with their noses stuck in books, and a couple of super energetic kids who looked like they were on their way to Disney World by how excited they seemed. Shaking his head at the kids in front of him, he pushed his way to the back of the bus, tugging up on the straps of his black backpack as they began to slip down his shoulders from the heavy weight of it. Just as he was about to take the empty seat in the very back, his eyes landed on a familiar face, his friend Callum. Although the two boys weren't as close as everyone seemed to think they were, the other male was the closest thing he had to a friend on the bus and he knew if he didn't want his summer to be a total disaster he had to at least try to talk to him.

Swallowing thickly, he shoved down the anxiety rising in his chest, as his blue orbs gazed over the boy sitting in the opposite back seat with a book in hand. "Hey-" he started to say, voice cracking awkwardly, and gaze dropping to the dirty floor of the bus as his nerves picked up, his heart racing in his chest, "Do you mind if I sit here?" he questioned, shaky hands pointing towards the seat next to the boy who had already stolen the window seat. Oh god, he thought, as their eyes met, Callum thought he was a complete freak already. There was no way in hell he was going to let a loser like Lucas sit next to him let alone follow him around all summer like a lost little puppy.

Introductory Scene: June 1st. Morning, approx. 9 A.M.

Image Clenching his teeth as he stood outside waiting for the camp bus of savage rejection, Martin's sweaty thumbs hung from the pockets of his jeans with one leg standing on top of his overtly-stuffed backpack full of clothes. His stiff and contemplative stare into the distance was one that resembled a frozen statue to one of the elderly neighbors watching him from the porch of their next-door bungalow.

His thoughts raced as he waited for the bus to arrive while trying to ease the sick feeling in the pit of his stomach from thinking excessively on the horrifying summer experience that is about to become a ridiculous reality. He thought to himself for roughly 10 minutes, 'Is it too late to try to get out of this?... Run away?'

He glanced down the street and entertained rather extreme and crazy ideas for trying to get out getting on the bus that morning. 'Is there any possible way that I might be able to run away now?' He turned his head and looked around the block.
He noticed an elderly woman at the neighboring bungalow standing on her porch trimming and watering bins of tomatoes that were placed on her porch column overlooking his direction. She'd surely notice if he'd tried to make a run for it.

While he stood and mused on the impossible, a loud impending vrooming that resembled something of an angry lion broke his thoughts and the stillness of air as it turned around the corner. He painfully stared at the camp bus approaching, inhaling shakingly as it advanced to transport him to a cesspool of irreverent teenagers for 12 weeks. He turned his head and looked back at the open front door where his mother watched him from behind.

Earlier that morning, his mother squeezed her in his arms several times as she organized his bags making sure he had everything, kissing the top of his head in attempt to reassure him that everything was going to be "just fine," while continually urging him to his pester to eat something before he left. He was too stressed to eat. At this point, he deeply resented the fact that neither one of his parents understood that he would not make friends and would still be a nobody regardless of the change of location. Martin angrily tried to get away from his mother, growing annoyed and telling her to stay inside the house when the bus comes as he didn't want to make matters worse if the jocks saw his mom kissing and hugging him like a baby. His mother grew quiet and replied with a broken, "Oh..." Picking up his heavy bags, he stormed outside leaving the flimsy glass in the front door to close on its own, slamming next to his mother.

As the bus driver hit the breaks to a loud "HISSSSSS" and opened the door, he briefly looked up at the tinted windows to see if he'd recognized anyone on the bus. He looked down and sniffled a little, slowly picking up his dew-moistened backpack from the grass and slung it over his shoulder. His mom immediately opened the front door as she watched him and yelled, "I love you! I'll tell your dad that you'll miss him!" He pressed the borders of his lips together and slowly waved to his mother, then responded with a nearly inaudible, "Love you..." over the loud bus engine. The feeling of being homesick already began to sink in as he ascended the steps of the bus. He looked up at the bus driver that greeted him whom he'd never seen before. He walked with light trembling to the very back of the bus while trying not to make eye contact with anyone on the way as he dragged his feet down the bus aisle. He noticed that the seats in the back were already taken by a few kids to which he'd recognized Bohnii who he'd never spoken to but was in his chemistry class last year.

He turned around and took a seat a few rows up, sliding off his backpack and setting down his laptop bag onto the seat. To his relief, he didn't notice any of the football players, at least he thought he didn't. His head began to hurt from the anxiety to that he laid his head on the glass window and looked out to see if his mother was still watching him. She was tearing up and forcing a smile as the bus slowly pulled off.

Stevie Rae sighed as she watched more students climb onto the bus. Though the main person who seemed to grab her attention more than anyone else was Micah, her co-captain's cousin. She knew it would be social suicide if she were to ever be caught dead with the boy, but deep down she felt that he was the most attractive guy in school. Of course if Ruby were to find out about this, she would most likely catch hell but there was no way out of it other than ignoring her attraction to the nerd and focusing on herself and the spirit squad.

Though as she sat there in silence, lost in her thoughts she was broken out of them by one of her fellow cheerleaders, Jade. The blonde gave her a soft smile, "Hey girl and um, there was no way out of it. No matter how hard I tried to get my mother and the principal to change their minds about sending me to this hell hole, it didn't work," She bent down to her bag and unzipped it and showed Jade and Ruby the bottles of alcohol that were in her bag. "Though don't fret girls, I still brought the party with me," she added before zipping her bag and setting it back down on the floor beside her feet.

As Cal read his book and got lost in the words that were speaking to him off the pages, he hadn't noticed many of the others getting on the bus. He quickly rose his head from the book feeling a bit startled when he heard the familiar voice of Lucas. "Do you mind if I sit here?" he questioned and Callum did nothing more than nod his head and scooted over to the window, giving Lucas room to sit.

Cal closed his book and set it down in his lap before speaking, "So, are you ready to be secluded of every aspect of life we ever grew up with? I know I'm not ready to go twelve weeks without internet or my phone," he stated, trying to start up a conversation with the male.

Although the two of them were in the same clique, they weren't quite friends, but he was close enough to Lucas that he knew he could talk to him whenever he wanted to. Though maybe over the summer that would all change, maybe by the end of the summer he'll find himself with his first true friend.

With a sigh Bohnii stood to her feet when the bus stopped and climbed out of the vehicle. She rolled her eyes upon the scenery that was going to be her home for the next three months. "Oh, just kill me now," she stated as she began walking through the camp, looking for her cabin that she was assigned.

Bohnii couldn't believe she was going to be rooming with Jade for the entire summer. It was already bad enough she couldn't stand seeing that cheery face at school, now she had to live with her and deal with all of her cheery bullshit all summer long. If there were a cheerleader she dreaded more than any of them, it would definitely have to be Jade. The others she could tolerate and even speak with every now and again. But Jade, that girl just seemed to know how to push all the right buttons for the brunette to explode.

Honestly, Bohnii had no clue how Stevie and Ruby were able to put up with her on a daily basis. That was so beyond her.

Image"Yeah, I wish I could have found a way out of it, but nothing I tried worked." Ruby said with a shrug of her shoulders, running a hand through her hair as she glanced between Jade and Stevie. When Stevie pulled out her bag, showing them the bottles of alcohol, Ruby couldn't help but to smile. "You're a life saver, Rae." She said, patting her friend's shoulder. When the bus arrived at the camp grounds, Ruby got up from the seat, stretching her stiff muscles. "Lets get out of this stuffy Twinkie on wheels." She said, leading the way off the bus. She hated riding the bus, and was thankful that she didn't have to do it on a daily basis during school anymore since her parents got her a car last year. When she saw the cabin assignments, she couldn't help but to smile, feeling that maybe the camp wouldn't be so bad since she was sharing a cabin with her best friend, Stevie.

ImageMicah followed the others off of the bus. He glanced over at his cousin and her friends, he wanted to go talk to her. Every time Ruby was rude or mean to him, he really wanted to reach to her, to find out why, but he figured it was probably best to wait for a time that he could talk to her alone. His eyes gradually moved from his cousin to Stevie, he'd had a crush on her for years now, but he knew that most of the guys in school had crushes on her, and he was very low on the social ladder. 'She probably doesn't even know who I am,' He thought with a quiet sigh as he walked over toward them to get a look at the cabin assignments. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me," He muttered, seeing that he was to bunking with Jacquez, one of the jocks that made his life a living hell daily. 'How could this summer possibly get any worse?' He thought, wishing he was anywhere else but here.

Jade smiled at her friends. "I feel that you have something groundbreaking."
She said with a smile to her friend. She wondered if it was going to be trouble but she was so mad she couldn't care less.

Jade was always the girl that just went along with a lot of things. She wondered why she did it herself. She looked at the girls wondering what they were planning exactly but now it was getting tricky.

She followed everyone and was trying to follow along to everything.

June 1, 9:30am-12:11pm

By now, Martin's headache became worse as he stressfully obsessed over the potential events to come. Mouth brittle, throat dry and stomach grumbling from lack of food to that he ignored entirely. He picked his head up from the window and adjusted his glasses, biting his lip and peered over the seats to get an idea of who was there. He already noticed some of the cliques already beginning to form amidst he students up front with the geeky kids, skaters and preps, and in the back with the emo kids and a few preps. Still no stupid football players that made his life a living hell. 'Maybe they're on another bus or something?' He considered.
'Almost everyone looks so pissed.' He noticed a few girls giggling and smiling in the back of the bus, one of them blond and really beautiful. He stared at them from behind the bus seat. They were cheerleaders. He wondered what was going on but he kind of knew it probably wasn't going to be good. 'Well, maybe it's not going to be as bad?' he shifted thoughts as stopped himself from the flooding thoughts of distrust that infiltrated his mind. He sunk down in his seat as his 2 bags accompanied him and thought the entire way about how long his summer would be.

The scenery from the travel changed quickly as the bus made an exit on the freeway and pulled into a long winding forest path with acres upon acres of trees. His eyes opened wide, taking in the scenery that is about to be his newfound prison. The driver pulled up to the cabins that overlooked a lake that danced with sparkles from the sunlight shining through the tall coniferous trees. A dozen pointy trees circled one side of the lake where wood chips and pine cones rested on the reddish dirt ground beside them. A few chipmunks scurried playfully up the trees, stumps and around the wood chips. At least they were at home.

Martin watched the other buses pull in slowly after them as his bus driver stopped and spoke on the radio to someone. The sound of the kids chattering lightly in the back and the scenery reminded him of the time he'd went to camp once when he was 11. He liked nature and loved the woods but just not with the bullies, crowds, forced activity and fake smiles from the camp staff. 'I hope to be able to make some friends while I'm here,' He thought. The bus driver got out of the bus and went to the back of the vehicle and unlocked the trunk where everyone's larger suitcases were kept during the 2 hour ride.

Image

The heat inside of the bus among all of the people and lack of circulation in the air was beginning to grow annoying for him in which he opened his backpack and unbuttoned his polo and stuffed it in his backpack while moving his hair off and away his forehead with the dampness that gathered on his forehead from sitting next to sunlight that lightly beamed through the windows.

The bus driver came around to the door of bus and mumbled something to which the students in the front rows began to rise from their seats and talk amongst themselves while gathering their belongings. Martin stood up from his seat and picked up his bags and stood next to his chair, observing everyone on the bus. He noticed quite a few people from his freshman year classes and even less from last year. He also noticed a few new students that were a bit short in stature, resembling his, that were probably freshmen themselves.
The students began to pile out of the humid bus with their bags. He pulled out into the aisle readily, being conscious of his fat backpack that made him look like a giant turtle. The kid behind him had on a grey beanie with sunglasses hanging from his shirt and looked like he was probably a senior. 'Man, he seems so awesome,' he thought to himself. He particularly liked the Sonic the Hedgehog keychain hanging from his belt loop. He wanted to say something but the guy seemed pretty sad as he stared at Stevie, another girl who was in his Homeroom last year and was extremely popular and beautiful but didn't know much about.

As he followed the students off the bus making his way down the aisle, he got off and walked around as the leaves crunched beneath his feet, looking over at the cabins, the lake, and the cabin again. "This doesn't seem so bad..." he said quietly to himself. Another student bumped into his backpack that stuck from behind him and groaned. He was an emo kid that was wearing a black hoodie and had straight hair. All of the kids looked so much more fashionable and up-to-date in style than he did to his own insecurity. But he didn't care about clothes. He held onto the hope to talk to the blond guy with the grey beanie with the cool bracelets and gamer key-chains.

"Dude there's a lake!" one student yelled in the distance behind him and others giggling and yelled. Other students stood around talking to one another and absorbing the new scenery. He then noticed a car pull up around the front of the bunks to which he watched intently. "Dammit." He muttered to himself. There was Jacques, the football player that used to pick on everyone, including Martin. The guy had intense anger issues that no one really understood. Martin's stomach began to swirl from the heavy emotions and a lump developed in his throat. He stared in his direction as he got out of the car and gathered his baggage from the car. Martin walked next to a large pine that was planted near the camp lot to attempt to blend in with the shadows of the trees, standing behind small crowd of 4 students to avoid being seen. He felt like a sheep in a lion's den. 'God, I hope he won't be bunking with me.' He started to feel sick. Martin scanned the area for staff members to ask questions about his bunking arrangements.

A heavyset brunette woman who was probably in her early 40's stood in front of a wooden lodge wearing a camp logo T-shirt with the school colors along with brown cargo shorts waved and welcomed the students, hugging and holding prolonged conversations with those whom she already knew was heard talking with a light country accent accompanied with a very loud and strong voice that could be clearly heard a mile away.

Martin slowly made his way over to the woman as he held onto his bags and waited in the small crowd of students around the woman as she spoke to the other students and handed out papers.
"Hi! I'm Mrs. Veronica! Welcome to Tolerance Camp! How was the bus ride?" she said to Martin who was caught off-guard as she held her hand out assertively to shake Martin's. Martin returned the handshake airily.
"It was um..." ..."Okay I gue--"
"Are you excited to be here at camp?"
He glanced over at the nearby cabin and shrugged.
"You're gonna be just fine, hun. Here let me give you this." She pulled a neon-orange pamphlet out of her tan carrier bag and handed it to him. He took the paper and studied the paper as the woman talked about the camp events, tuning her out slightly. "WELCOME TO MONROE HIGH'S TOLERANCE CAMP" was printed with the High School mascot and logo on the top of the paper. Printed underneath was a map of all the main areas and buildings and a bunch of events on it that he didn't care to read at this point.
"We're going to eat lunch inside the main hall here at 12:15 in a little bit and we're going to have our orientation at 1:00. You can go over and put your bags in your bunk and get settled in," as she pointed over to the boys' bunk "and come back to the main lodge for lunch."
He replied in concern, "Um... I don't really know who I'm bunking with."
"That's okay, they'll figure something out soon. Don't you worry!" she said as she patted him on the back and sent him away. "I'm here if you need anything!" she said as she quickly shifted into another conversation with the same greeting with another student.

Martin walked over to the boys' bunk and noticed a set of guys in there to which he observed. They were a bit rowdy and talked to one another as they unpacked. He grew tired of carrying his heavy bags to which he sat them down on top of each-other in a corner of one of the entrances and hid slightly behind a wooden table so nobody would mess with them until he found his bunk. He stood with his back against the cabin wall inside the bunk and watched the activity outside 100 yards beyond the camp ground, waiting until lunch and noticing the muscular tall jocks pull in as a group and began making their way over to the bunks loudly. He noticed the guy with the grey hoodie pulling out his belongings in a bunk next to Jacques' bags in front of his bunk to Martin's extreme relief that he wasn't going to spend the entire summer with the jock. 'Man, I feel so bad for him,' feeling sorrow for the guy. At least he could somewhat relax now that he wasn't rooming with his primary bully.

Image

Behind the remaining buses advanced a group of girls walking toward the main lodge wearing mostly Aeropostle and AEclothing, heavy makeup, large earrings, with an array of straightened, curled and high ponytails holding purses with a few Louis Vuitton bags; none were dressed for a camp setting. Although it was funny to imagine how bad they would adjust to the camp setting, Martin stood awestruck by their beauty.'Why do I have to spend my summer trying to be friends with these guys? They're not going to accept me. It's completely against principles of sociology,' he thought deeply as he watched the students speak to one another outside, some were happy and cheerful, while others sharing the same expression of unsettlement and apprehension plastered on their faces.

Due to a most unfortunate conflict of time, Jacques hadn't been home to catch the bus to camp. When you were a senior, and a dominant threat on the football field, you spent your summers visiting all of the colleges that you might want to go to. Unfortunately, the school had determined that he had to fulfill his high school obligations before he could focus on the next chapter. The principal had made things simple, go to camp, or don't play football next season. No football meant no scholarships. No scholarship meant no getting out of this hell town. In exchange for agreeing to willingly coming to camp, the principal had agreed to let his parents drop him off at Madison Lake when he was done with his visit to (insert nearby division 1 college here).

He actually somehow managed to beat the bus full of the students to the camp, though only for about thirty minutes or so. He had originally felt the same amount of disdain for this idea as the other students, but he was slowly but surely starting to come around on the idea. He wasn't concerned with lost internet, or lost shopping, or the setting, but he was concerned with the loss of his entire summer to one of the schools dreamed up schemes to try and bring students together. What the school was really going to do was get students killed.

They were going to lock Jacques away with all of these kids, and they thought it was a good idea. They were taking cheerleaders, who were probably scared of their front yards, and sending them on a 12 week nature based camping trip, thinking it was a good idea. They were sending poor people like Micah into a cabin with him, secluded away from everyone else, thinking that was a good idea. They had picked a setting that couldn't have possibly been anymore out in the middle of nowhere, many miles away from anything that could conceivably be considered civilization, thinking that was a good idea. Clearly they weren't thinking things through, probably chasing a bigger budget from the state if they agreed to sell their students for this social experiment. It's okay, they'd not do it again.

He had perched himself against one of the office buildings about 20 yards away from the roads, and watched as each of the students started to step off of the bus. As each of the kids stepped off the bus, he formulated ideas and methods of... "entertainment" for each of them. The weaker, softer boys like Martin were just going to be pummeled on, easy enough. The group of girls that had probably never seen an insect before, Stevie, Ruby, Jade, Bonhii would be introduced to nature. He would probably be more of a playful bully with them as opposed to a sinister one. Simply put, they were pretty, and he couldn't have everyone against him. The alternative kids like Callum and Lucas he hadn't exactly determined how to come at yet, he only knew that he would be.

And then there was Micah, his roommate, who could have quite possibly been the luckiest person in this entire camp. Although Jacques would have loved to have been bunked up with another jock, he wasn't, and he had to make due with what was placed in front of him. Even bullies had their code, and as much as he would have loved to make Micah's live 12 solid weeks of hell, some people were simply exempt from torture, and brethren were among them. That included bunk mates. He would simply have to figure out how to play nice with Micah. Or at least that was his original intent. Meh, most New Year's resolutions didn't pan out in the long run, did they? Regardless of intent.

His arms were crossed in front of his chest, his shoulder perched against the side of the building as the last of the kids piled out. "Oh, this is going to be a blast."

The very moment Stevie stepped off the bus, she couldn't believe she was going to be spending the entire summer in the middle of nowhere. Though thankfully she had Ruby with her, who turned out would be her roommate for the entire summer. That always seemed to make things a bit better. As she continued looking at the rooming list, she immediately felt bad for a few of the others. Jade was going to be rooming with one of the queen bees, Bohnii. That was definitely not going to be very pretty.

As for Micah, a huge pain struck her heart when she noticed he would be rooming with the jock, Jacquez. As for the others, Callum, Martin, and Lucas, she already knew they would most likely have no problems with their cabin assignments. The three of them were in the same clique, they would get along just fine.

Part of her wanted to get all of them together and have a few drinks, though she wasn't completely sure how that would pan out with a bunch of angst going on. But maybe it would give them all a chance to cut loose...together. But still, Stevie was a bit against the idea. She would have to talk to Ruby about it once they were alone and see what her thoughts on Stevie's little idea was.

Stevie carried her bags to her assigned cabin and claimed one of the beds before starting to unpack her things.

As Callum climbed off the bus, he overheard some of the comments the other students were making about their cabin assignments. Honestly, he didn't care who he would be rooming with, either way his summer would end up being complete hell. There was no getting away from that.

The male finally got up to the bulletin board the other students were hovering around and noticed that he was going to be rooming with Martin and Lucas. Callum shrugged his shoulders and immediately began on his way to his cabin and claimed the bed closest to the window on the far, left side of the cabin.

The male placed his bags on the bed and returned out the door before traveling over to the lake and sitting down on the ground, leaning against a tree. The male stared out at the water, just trying his best to relax. He knew there wasn't going to be very much time for it, so he was going to take advantage of this.

The very second Bohnii entered the room she was going to share with Jade, she immediately made her way over to the best bed in the cabin. She began unpacking her things, hanging her items on the wall, placing her clothing in the drawers, trying to make her side of the cabin look as much like home as possible. She even brought her bed set and replaced the camp issued blankets and sheets into the last drawer of the dresser and placed her blanket and sheets onto the bed. All of this took nothing more than a good half hour at the most.

Once she was finished, she heard a voice come over the intercom, signaling all students to lunch. Bohnii rolled her eyes and pulled a jacket over her arms before stepping out of the cabin and heading to the mess hall. Upon entering, she grabbed a plate and placed a salad on it along with a chocolate chip cookie and grabbed a bottle of water before taking a seat at one of the empty tables.

Bohnii was more than ready for this summer to end. But she knew she would have to just deal with everything that came along, no matter how bad she would prefer not to.

ImageRuby glanced around the camp briefly, watching as the cliques quickly formed. 'I don't really see the point in this,' She thought, sure that no matter what the adults had planned, one summer at camp wasn't going to change anything when they went back to school. She sighed quietly, really wishing she was back home, preferably at the mall with Stevie. 'At least we get to share a cabin,' She thought, relieved that she wasn't forced to room with someone she couldn't stand. Ruby grabbed her bags and headed toward the cabin, seeing Stevie was there already. "Hey," She said with a smile, setting her bag down on the empty bed. Even though she knew she'd have to get to it eventually, Ruby just didn't feel like unpacking at the moment. "Wanna head to the mess hall?" She asked.

ImageAs soon as Micah got his bunk assignment, he went into the cabin and put his bags on the bed, hoping to get in and out before Jacques showed up. After rummaging through his bags for a few moments, he found what he was looking for, his hand held gaming system. He glanced around, hoping no one saw him with it as he slipped into his back pocket and pulled his shirt down over it to try and hide it as he rummaged through his bag a moment longer, pulling out a couple games and slipping them into his pocket as well. His games were the only thing that was going to make camp tolerable, if they were to get confiscated, he had no idea what he would do. Micah quickly slipped out of the cabin, glancing around as he slipped into the woods, not too far, he didn't want to get lost but he wanted to be far enough away so no one would stumble upon him by accident. Once he was sure he was far enough away, he pulled the game system out of his pocket and sat down, a happy sigh escaping his lips as he turned it on the small screen came to life.

As Martin stood pressing his back against the cabin wall and observing everyone, he then heard his full name being called in close proximity as he stood in the cabin absorbing the new campsite. He slowly walked out of the door of the cabin and saw a staff member looking for him with a yellow sticky note in his hand. "Here I am." He said. "Hi, Martin? Here you go." Martin took the sticky note and read it as the guy walked away. Martin "Rooming in Cabin 3 with Callum Jones and Lucas Beckett" was written in black ink on the paper. Martin picked up his belongings and made his way over to Cabin #3 where two guys stood and packed away their belongings.

"Hey." Martin said quietly to the two guys. Both of them were skinny and had straightened black hair. They appeared emo but Martin didn't want to make any premature judgments. Although Martin was in a different clique, he could definitely click with these guys and immediately felt at ease in their presence. At least he wasn't rooming with any of his bullies. Martin and the two boys made small-talk, introducing themselves lightly.

The three guys walked over to the main lodge for lunch as the intercom announced the time for all of the students to gather.
Could these be the guys who Martin could confide in while at camp?
