History:
Jayce was born into a family of fame and fortune. His father had been a professional baseball player until he had recently retired just the previous year. With that being said his father always encouraged Jayce to go down the same path as he had, but instead of baseball Jayce took a huge liking to football. At first his father was very upset about that but he learned to get over it quickly. As time passed a lot of kids found out who he was and began hanging out with him just because he was the son of a professional baseball player. Eventually he figured that out and no longer trusts people as easily as he used to. Of course he talks with his jock buddies all the time, but he doesn't completely trust them all, he's not even sure if any of them are his true friends like they always said he was.

Other:
Serenity Gonzalez is his ex girlfriend. Crushing on Jessica Jones.

So begins...

Serenity Gonzalez

Image
Serenity kept walking in silence, tapping her fingers on the side of her legs as she slowly wandered through the campgrounds. When she lifted her head from her phone she noticed Jessica and Micah had finally arrived. She quickly ran over towards Jessica with a huge smile on her face. "Oh my God! I can't believe you made it, I didn't think you were going to come. I thought maybe your parents found a way to get you out of the camp thing," the brunette wrapped her arms around her best friend then glanced over towards Micah, finding that he seemed a bit upset or unsettled. "So, what crawled up his butt and never wiggled its way out?" she questioned with a joking tone.

Jayce Sinclair

Image
Jayce sat in the limo in complete silence listening to his father go on and on about the scholarships Jayce had received from many different colleges for football. At this point he didn't care about going into college right away, he needed a break from all things school. He couldn't believe that even though he had already graduated from Monroe High that he had to go to this stupid camp, after all what was the point in it if he was never going to interact with these teenagers the following year anyways? "Are you even listening to me son? Jayce's father questioned with concern. Jayce turned his focus away from the window towards his retired professional baseball player father and rolled his eyes. "Look Dad, I already told you that I was going to sit this year out and enroll into college the following year. What's the big deal here? It's not like it's your life you're looking out for, this is mine." Just as Jayce finished speaking they pulled up to the camp, the limo driver opened the door and helped Jayce with his bags before Jayce hurried on his way away from the car and onto the campgrounds before his father was able to let out another word.
As he walked he noticed his ex, Serenity speaking with the gorgeous Jessica Jones. His face lit up with a huge smile but walked straight passed them so he could get into the cabin and put his things away. He didn't want to lug everything around with him all night.

Trevor Braybrooke

Image
Trevor quickly climbed out of the packed vehicle, hating that he had to come to this stupid camp anyways. He didn't get along with many people and he never planned to get along with most of the losers at this camp anyways. At least his skater buddies were going to be around with him as well. He hung his guitar over his shoulder held his duffell bag in his left hand and skated towards the cabins hoping to find any sign of any of his skater buddies so he'd know where to set his things. He didn't want to interact with anyone else at this moment, so he tried his best to lay low and keep as far away from mainly the jocks. He most certainly wasn't in the mood to deal with any of them.

Trevor smiled after hearing Cali's response and shook his head at her question. "I saw Audry. Not sure if she knocked or not though," he responded as he double checked out the door. "Is there anything I missed?" he questioned slightly knowing that there must have been a couple fights already, if not that then arguments. This was the student body of Monroe High for crying out loud, there had to of at least been something.

Jayce Sinclair

Image
After he finally found his cabin, he placed his clothes into the dresser beside the bed, undressed his bed finding that there had been white powder covering it and sighed. He had a feeling he needed to bring his own sheets, blankets, and pillows, thankfully he had. He then placed his bed things onto the bed and shoved his bags underneath the bed. When Jayce finished unpacking he noticed Skylar sitting on one of the beds. "Hey man! Here for a few minutes I thought I was the only jock around this idiotic place."

Serenity Gonzalez

Image
"Yeah, I suppose I could..." Serenity responded and Micah, Jessica's cousin popped into her head as they began walking in a different direction. Before continuing on she shook that thought out of her mind. "Have you heard anything about the camp events that might be going on tonight? I heard something about a camp fire but nobody seems to know when it's supposed to start," she stated, trying to change the subject from Jayce.

Kamil

Image

Kamil continued sleep as she sat back against the tree as the day turned into dusk. The day had been exhausting for her. But now her sleep wasn't restful, she was plagued with nightmares of being left, her grandmother dies, then Echo decides he doesn't want to be around her anymore because he likes Cali, then Ming says she's no more fun, she's all alone... five again, caught in the crossfire of her parents arguments, she covered her ears and screamed in the dream. In the real world Kamil's sleeping face was contorted in pain and sorrow and she let out a soft whimper of fear.

Jessica smiled at Serenity, nodding her head in agreement as they reached the cabins. She slipped in and set her stuff down on an empty bed and walked back out with Serenity, not paying any attention to anyone who may have been in the cabin. She was about to answer her friend's question about camp activities, but the loud speakers crackled cutting her off.
"Attention Campers. The campfire will begin shortly, please make your way to the campfire site down by the lake. This is a mandatory camp activity, everyone must attend" A male's voice said, the loud speakers crackling once more before going silent. "Well, guess that answers that question." Jessica said, "Wanna head down there now?" She asked.

Image
ImageMicah slipped into the woods, glancing around for a comfortable place to play his game, but the sound of a girl's whimper drew his attention. He walked through the woods, closer to the sound. Finally he reached the girl, sleeping under a tree, seeming to be having a bad dream. He knew he'd seen the black and blue haired girl around, mainly with Echo, but he at the moment, her name escaped him. He hesitated just a moment before reaching out to shake her gently. "Hey, wake up, you're having a bad dream." He said, somewhat lamely, but didn't know what else to do. He heard the announcement come over the loud speakers in the main camp area, but he wasn't just going to leave the girl here to suffer in her nightmare.

Trevor Braybrooke

During everything that was going on Trevor stood there in silence listening to the words Cali and Echo were saying to Audry. When Echo confessed about doing this he was shocked. Of course he had a feeling that his fellow skaters were involved in this, but never thought that Echo out of all people would take the blame. But then of course he understood why he had, it was completely obvious about how he felt about Cali. Now whether or not Cali ever noticed, he wasn't sure of, but everyone else surely had. The male's attention turned to the disembodied voice over the loud speaker and sighed. At that moment he knew he'd have to figure out where is cabin is later. He chuckled a bit when Cali pulled him out the cabin with him and began making her way towards the campfire with her.

Serenity Gonzalez

Image
Serenity smiled softly at Jessica's response to the loud speaker's words and nodded her head. "Well, it's not like we have much of a choice, so yeah I guess so," she stated as she began making her way towards the campfire. It really was nice having someone around who actually understood her and wanted to be around her. Everyone else seemed to get the wrong impression of her and tried their best to stay away from her. Of course she knew deep down most of that is her doing because of the way she had always treated people, but in a way most of them deserved it. But no matter the circumstances, she was going to apologize to everyone she could before the camp was over, whether everyone accepts her apology or not.

Jayce Sinclair

Image
Before Jayce was able to hear Skylar's response to his question he heard a male's voice on the loud speaker telling all the campers to head out towards the campfire by the lake. He sighed a bit and made his way back outside the cabin without another word. As he walked he noticed Jessica and Serenity and decided to say hi to them. He made his way over towards them and kept his pace beside Jessica as he spoke, "Hey girls. Didn't think I'd see either of you two here. Thought you guys might have found a way out of it. Although I'm not really sure why it was mandatory for me to be here since I already graduated."

Mikha'el smiled some when she accepted the offer. Once out of the cabin, Lilliana asked what his Bible verse was. "Well, I would have to say 1 Corinthians 13: 13. It sums up how a Christian should act." He also remembered another question. "Oh, and the reason I keep both Bibles around is so I can use them as references. Most people will be familiar with the KJV, so I will often cite it while having the CJB for personal reading, since it goes more in depth about the Jewish origins."

At the baseball diamond, some of the people already there noticed him and blocked passage to him. “Is there something wrong, gentlemen? I am merely going to play ball with a lady, here.”

One of the jocks told him in response, “This is jock territory. Besides, a nerd can’t play ball.”

This made Mikha’el smirk. “Do not even the pagans behave like you are behaving? Besides, I am not your stereotypical ‘nerd’, now, am I? I bet I can pitch just as well as any ball player.”

“Prove it!”

“With pleasure.” Mikha'el was given the ball and the pitcher's mitt so he could throw one pitch to the guy currently at the plate. He took a moment to figure out which pitch he wanted to do, then decided he would surprise everybody with his fastball. There was the wind up, the pitch, and the ball went up to 97 miles an hour to the catcher. It was an easy Strike! The crowd's jaws dropped.

After that, they let Mikha'el pitch to Lilliana. Sometimes, he would do a curveball to the corner, while some of his throws were fastballs or knuckleballs. Whether the girl hit any of them or not, the history geek would not make it easy.

The two were so preoccupied with baseball, Mikha'el did not notice it the time until it was close to time for the campfire. "I think we should get going, Lilliana." He walked with her to the fire where everyone was supposed to be and told the circle, "Sorry we're late."

Olivia sat next to Skylar and their hands were intertwined. She glared at most people but then scrolled on her phone, checking her social networking sites and texting some of her friends.

Echo followed behind Cali and Trevor, coming in as the last person. Kamil hadn't seen his black eye so he was kind of apprehensive to show her. Lilliana and Mikha'el had come in not to long ago and they were now sitting together. He didn't say a word when he saw Cali, he just walked away from her and sat down.

Lilliana had lots of fun playing baseball. She hit most of the pitches he threw but even a well trained jock like her couldn't hit everyone of the pitches. When they were finished they made their way to the campfire. Lilliana still had that smile on her face and then looked over to Mikha'el. "Would you mind if I sat with you?" She asked, looking around the campfire, seeing many familiar faces.

Audry froze in place when Echo stated that he was the prankster. She tried to say something, but nothing came out of her mouth. For a second she even forgot about the itches. Now what? She doesn't know Echo very well, but she had often witnessed his moments of anger. How would he react if she ruined the prank by telling everyone about it? She wondered which flaw posessed her more - cowardness or selfishness. Would she really abort the warnings just because she was afraid?

Maybe she should think about it later, as it was time for the campfire. Her mood lightened up a little when she saw Lily and Mikha'el. The girl sat next to them.

"Hey, how are you doing?" She asked them with a light smile on her face. Also, the itches became more endurable, even though she was still scratching. For a moment she wondered where was Matthew and if Micah was already here.

She was still scratching... She might raise suspicions with this, which would cause al least some people to wonder what happened. However she might tell Mikha'el and Lily about this and they would give her advice. Maybe Mikha'el saw the text message sent by Audry. For now she decided to stay at the campfire and tell them later while trying not to scratch herself every ten seconds.

Serenity Gonzalez

Serenity nodded her head at Jayce's words and sighed a bit before continuing the walk to the campfire in silence. Even though she dated Jayce's guts, she didn't mind it if Jessica was still friends with him. After all, she can't choose her friends for her, that would make her a bad friend. She could always tell that Jayce liked Jessica but never said anything about it to either of them because after all it was none of her business. After making it to the campfire, she sat down in one of the more cleared areas, trying to keep her distance from most people.

Jayce Sinclair

Jayce sighed at Jessica's response about with holding the diplomas. "I can't believe they're doing this. I mean it's not like I'll be having to deal with any of the students from the school on school grounds anymore so anything I do or say to them won't be any of their business. But whatever, I just hope this all just blows over quick." He sat down on the other side of Jessica in silence and glanced over towards Serenity, still trying to understand why it was that she hated him in the first place. It's not like their relationship ended badly, they both had agreed to it. But he decided to push that thought from his mind to save it for another time. Maybe he'd talk to her about it if they ever have any time alone to to do so.

Jessica sat down on one of the makeshift log benches, Serenity on one side of her and Jayce on the other. She glanced around the campfire seeing a table set up near the fire, with hot dogs, buns, condiments for hot dogs, as well as graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate for people to make s'mores, along with other things that can be cooked over a fire. Jessie felt a little strange being in the middle of Serenity and Jayce, litterally. She got to her feet. "I'm going to make me a s'more, either of you want one?" She asked, glancing between the two.

Micah frowned slightly at her words. "Just because something has upset you, doesn't make you a burden. And if your friends act like you're a burden, well then, they're not really your friends." He said with a small shake of his head. "If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm a pretty good listener." He said, giving her a small smile, reaching out to pat her shoulder gently, trying to make her feel better.

Trevor Braybrooke

Trevor made his way over towards one of the empty benches and sat down before glancing at the fire. His stomach growled as he smelled the scent of the hot dogs and the s'mores that the campers were already beginning to eat. He stood up from the bench and headed over towards the hot dogs and began making himself one to eat before he made a s'more. Even though he was craving one right now, he still needed to eat an actual meal before eating sweets.

Serenity Gonzalez

Serenity looked up to Jessica as she stood and turned towards her and Jayce to ask them if they'd like a s'more. She sighed and nodded her head, "Yeah, I suppose I could go for one." With her now sitting beside Jayce, she felt her temperature begin to rise from nervousness. She didn't want to say or do anything to make everyone focus on the two of them. After all, back at school they already had enough people talking about their relationship and break up, she didn't need anyone talking about or watching them start fighting/arguing again. If it weren't for the simple fact that she felt uncomfortable around Jayce, she wouldn't mind trying to be friends with him still.

Jayce Sinclair

Jayce shook his head at Jessica's offer, "No thanks." He looked over at Serenity with his pale blue hues and smiled. She was still just as beautiful as he remembered. He just wished she would give him the time to actually speak to her to find out just why she won't even speak to him. But he just returned his attention back to Jessica and removed those thoughts from his head. He'd worry about that later, now wasn't the time as the entire camp was around.
