Description

Full name: Wes Aguarra

Age: 17 years old.

Gender: male

Sexuality: bisexual, but he has preferences. He won't date anyone who isn't around the same age as him, and they have to look it. If they look like a kid or a middle-aged person, he'll reject their advances.

Element partner: Wes has the element of water. His partner is time (Mari Kamei).

Power: he can control water, and freeze it as well. Normally uses water whips as his main weapons, though he'll use water pistols (shoots ice chips, mostly) just as much. He can shape it into anything, and will use it to make sure that you don't get near him in combat. Otherwise, he utilizes it for fun and creative things, like saving up on water expenses and to amuse himself. He has great control and is quite skilled at using it, though overuse can cause him to end up with him being exhausted. Massive overuse can cause him to pass out to replenish his energy. Complex manoeuvres also requires concentration, and it might not work if he screws up and gets distracted. He's pretty fast, but has weak punches. Power works only in his field of vision.

Face claim: Kyousuke Kazuma from Kimi No Iru Machi.

Brief description of appearance: shoulder length black hair and green eyes (probably a dark aquamarine with more green than blue). 174cm tall. Thin and has a vague grin on his face most of the time. He normally wears a red t-shirt and dark blue jeans, with dark grey sneakers. Sometimes he wears a black jacket and a hat. He also ties his hair back into a short ponytail a lot; especially when he's studying, but will also leave it down just as often. He will always have a wallet containing a picture of himself, his brother and land-lady in it.

Personality traits: relaxed| teasing| friendly| cheerful| Fun-loving|

Personality: although he's normally laid back and friendly, he has mood swings which range from extraordinarily happy to completely depressed to quiet and moody. He's personable and really nice, but he's also logical and will hit you right where it hurts to make sure you stay down if you are the enemy, even if he was being friendly minutes before. It's really hard to anger him, since he reserves all of his anger until it is time to unleash it. He's kind of a flirt and likes to tease people, but will apologise if he takes it too far. He prefers peace over violence, and capable of staying cool and focused under pressure. Tends to keep his problems to himself, though he has a natural compulsion to help others. Is surprisingly good with kids and housework. He treats everyone he meets as friends, whether they like it or not. He likes to experiment with his power. The kind of person who laughs when stressed, smiles when he's hiding something and prefers to let's others take the reign.

Likes: cooking, reading books and comics, teasing people (especially Sven.), hanging around his brother and friends and landlady.

Dislikes: constant moving around, unjustified mistreatment of people, people who harm his family and friends, death.

Fatal flaw: he is too self-sacrificing for his own good. Trying to hide his well being from others and taking things on so that they don't have to can lead to serious consequences for him.

History: his parents died when he was young, resulting in him and his little brother Mark being shuffled around by their relatives, who didn't want him. Wes tried to cope with not having a permanent home by being cheerful and friendly with everyone, but started to crack and slowly grew depressed with not having close friends, constantly moving around and his relatives constantly reminding him that he was unwanted and unneeded. Although he tried to give a strong face and pretend everything was fine around his brother, Mark actually coped with the whole situation better than he did, despite being in the same situation. At times, Mark was the only thing which kept him going. He had a pretty fragile mental state during that period, and either ignored or dismissed the signs with logical reasons explaining it.

When he was 15, his relatives were fed up with constantly providing for him and his good-for-nothing brother and casted them out to live in the streets. Fortunately, they found a place to stay with an old lady who took pity on them and allowed them to stay at her home with helping around the household as rent, treating them like her grandsons. He became more emotionally stable under her care and slowly developed into his current self, staying with her until Choosing Day. He doesn't care about saving the world, and is content with spending time with those he loves.

Crush: None at the moment.

Other: he has a loving relationship with his brother, who's 15 years old and really quiet. They resemble each other a lot, though their personalities are pretty different. They share a lot of things, and nothing can break the bond they have with each other. Considers the landlady Miss Potts as his maternal figure, and is very close to her as well. Do not underestimate her skill with wielding a frying pan and Mark's shooting abilities. When he and Wes have shooting matches (which happens often), the results can be quite epic. It's why Wes has such good shooting skills, since they've been using it as bonding practice since way back then.

Character colour: This shade of blue. 0040BF.

So begins...

"Next, the Steadfast Courage of Life and Earth!
Into our hands, Fate has delivered Adrian Hackett for Earth! And the mystery of Life belongs to Orpheus Vladislav!

" Now, the Blazing Spirit of Space and Fire!
Fate has given us Sven Fainric for Fire! And Space will be explored by Henri Jonrin!

"And last but certainly not least, the Boundless Freedom of Sky and Void!
As Sky, Fate has Chosen Skye Keilani! The depth of the Void is seen by Issac Haywood!

Water and Time, our blood.
Air and Void, our every breath.
Earth and Life, our body.
and Fire and Space, our spirit.

Fate has Chosen well this year! All Soulmates, please report to the Locuritus."

Skye shuffled her feet as the announcer called out names. She almost hoped to be one of them- no chance, however. Her parents would probably condemn her to a life of picking herbs. Sighing, she sat on a gleaming white bench. The Capitol was so pristine it almost made her sick.

Listening in, she heard some names being called. When the announcer got to Sky, she heard her repeat herself. However, another word was added on...

Skye stood up sharply, almost ramming into some of the audience members. Skye for Sky... She almost sprinted up to the stage, but stopped herself and walked up calmly. She was freaking out inside, but tried to keep her face... mostly neutral. She couldn't help when a smile broke out however. Taking her spot behind the announcer, she waited for the end.

Her new life started now.

Wes

Wes covered his mouth with his hand as he yawned, uncomfortably shifting in one of the seats in the back of the hall. Besides him, Zack sat still, but the fingers tapping against his thigh and the bored look on his face was all Wes needed to see to know that his brother felt the same as he did - they both wanted the Ceremony to just hurry up and get started already. Ah, wait, the announcer had arrived. He was spouting the necessary announcements and now he was calling out the nam - wait, did the announcer just call his name?!

All feelings of boredom forgotten, Wes twisted to look at Max, meeting his gaze. They both stared at each other wide eyed in shock. His brother was the first to speak, voice low and urgent, "they called your name. Bro, they called your name for the elements."

"No, it can't be," Wes muttered back, no longer listening to the announcements, "maybe it was just a mistake or something, I can't just le - "

"Don't," Max hissed, grabbing Wes's arm. "Like it or not, bro, you've been chosen. Nothing can change that. And besides," he said; eyes softening, "me and Anna can take care of ourselves. Don't worry, we'll send you letters and everything. You're not abandoning us, you know that, right?"

Wes smile didn't reach his eyes, but he pulled Max over and crushed him in a hug. Max returned it, and if he was trembling Wes didn't say anything. "Gotcha," Wes muttered, rubbing Max's back. "You too. Don't worry about me. I'll write to you and Anna whenever I can, ok?" They let go of each other and Wes stood, resolutely turning and walking towards the stage. He shove his emotions deep into the back of his mind and smiled again, making sure that it looked genuine this time before taking his spot behind the announcer, standing in line with a brown haired girl.

Adrian

When Adrian heard his name, he choked on the water he was drinking. By the time he recovered, his friend was already grabbing him and urging him up to the front, making sure not to bang into anyone in the process. When Adrian shook Charlie's hands off his shoulders and stared reproachfully at him, his friend shrugged, grinning. "You were chosen, man. You can't go against that. Don't worry about the apartment, I'll just accept that offer mum made to stay with her friend." He patted Adrian's shoulder reassuringly before making go on motions with his hands, trying to shoo him up the stage.

Adrian frowned, but he nodded and turned to go. Just before he went to the front, Adrian turned and gave him a brief hug, solemnly muttering into Charlie's ear "I'll write to you. Thanks for everything." Before letting go. He smiled at his friend and walked up to the stage, taking his position behind the announcer. He slipped his hands into his pockets, face neutral, waiting for the next stage in the Choosing Ceremony.
