They are able to communicate with aquatic based organisms as well as control them. They have a mastery over water, and control any form of liquids, to the point of turning it hot or cold, or causing tsunamis and other weather related occurrences. Outside of water, they share one singular ability with Espers, and that is to communicate telepathically with others, they are also capable of mimicking others voices to astounding likeness, though there is a deadly side to this ability, as their screams can kill, and they can indeed feed on human blood and flesh if needed. Ariel's singing voice, has the ability to put people in a simple trance like state if he wills.

Ariel is a kind, and gentle soul. Unlike his wild brothers and sisters, he is the calmest by far. He is often seen reading a book, or practicing his guitar and vocal skills. In this way he is devoted to his craft, and plans to make it a career. A shy and easily intimidated Nixie, his siblings often use him to do their work for them or make him do things for them. This doesn't strictly apply to his siblings, he practically does anything for everyone because he is afraid of being harmed. Ariel is curious , if he's not singing or playing guitar, he is often known to be exploring the waters. He is also naive and easily tricked by others due to his inexperience. Above all, Ariel is generous , he helps those who truly need it even if he goes without. In all, Ariel is a good and kind person, who wishes to help others. Ariel is empathetic, and can tell when others are upset or any emotion really. He also has a deep love for the earth, so he keeps a small garden.

Ariel Triton Leith, was born to Orion and Amphitrite Leith in the Atlantic Ocean. Not on a ship, actually in the Atlantic Ocean. The family was one of the few remaining Nixie families, and kept in hiding from other races. Ariel was born the youngest of fourteen children, all named after angels. His father, despite not being human, felt a comfort with the ideal of God. To honor his own ideals, he named his children after angels. As he turned seven, his father and his mother decided to remain in hiding but move to a town where there were other supernatural being like themselves. Elk River. A simple town, where Ariel could be raised in a normal environment.
By the time he turned nine, it was obvious Ariel inherited a rare gift among the Nixie species, the Siren Song. His parents were ecstatic, and pushed him to learn an instrument so by the time he was thirteen he could apply early for the Ledoux School of the Arts. But growing up with fourteen other children, it was complicated. His elder brothers continued to play pranks on him, making him jumpy and easily intimidated. But this isn't really only their fault. Ariel was never a really social kid. Until he turned fourteen. At the age of fourteen, Ariel befriended a Lycan boy named Lukas. The two became best friends quickly, often having sleep overs, hanging out. His elder siblings often teased him asking him when they were getting married. But the idea stuck in Ariel's head. He liked his best friend? How? Weren't boys supposed to like girls? He didn't know what to do with the confusing feelings so he went to the person he knew who would. His mother. He asked his mother what to do, and she said just confess. See what the other boy would do. Regardless, his family would love him. So he did just that, he confessed to Lukas. The werewolf, was not very happy about the idea, and a week later his family moved. Never saying goodbye to Ariel. So Ariel channeled his emotions into his music, and became accepted into Ledoux. Now he awaits his first year, and can't wait the adventures ahead.
