vash looks in the mirrior stared at the familiar face of Erics his alias. he sighed he missed the spiky hair the hair style Rim once gave him.

he put on his overalls and sunglasses. he walked past knives room to check in on him. There was no change in his condition. Vash felt sorry about Knives. And hoped he could one day apologize to knives. He wanted to be brothers again as they where before the butterfly incident. He went down to the living room and turned on the radio to the local in town channel.
'' Everything's so quite now. Rim i hope you can see it the world you really wanted is coming true '' he comes outta his day dream. then started looking around the houses kitchen. '' ahhhh all right. "How do you know that its a little boy?", asked Milly, Mia looked up with big brown eyes, "I don't know I just feel like he is", with that the little girl went off to play with the others. Sister Mary came up behind her, "Out of the mouth of babes, I beleive that little ones are so new that they are still so close to the good Lord. Don't be surprised if Mia is right about the sex of the baby. Now Milly dear you need to head home before it gets to late dear". Sister Mary hugs Milly and she starts to make her way home.

Nick snapped his eyes open, waking early in the morning a couple of days ago, from a dream.

Except he knew this wasn't just a dream. It was his life before the coma, six months ago. There was a guy in a red coat, wearing glasses, and holding a handgun, aimed in his direction. 'Needle Noggin' was the name that came to match that face at first. And there were two girls, right behind the guy.... Vash, he remembered! and the girl's names were... Mary....? No. Milly. That was the first one he remembered. She was the taller one, wearing the trenchcoat, and the other girl... Meryl? Yes. The much shorter one with the short black hair. And then there was a church, filled with kids, calling him 'Big Brother.' In December City.

But now it was all back. Every little detail. He could remember who he was, who all of them were... Especially Milly. He hadn't been able to get her out of his head since that day. He had also been wondering what had happened to Chapel, Knives, and his friends. Had they won the fight? And where were they? Did they just leave him with that other priest? No, Milly wouldn't have...

All of these questions, he knew, were about to be answered, with December City dead ahead, Wolfwood sped into the city on a motorcycle he had 'borrowed.' In truth he did have every intention of returning it to the priest's(who had taken care of him) brother, but after he found out what had happened. He stopped the rumbling engine of the bike out front of the Orphanage, and then tossed his leg over, jumping a few feet forward from the bike, landing on his feet. He removed his sunglasses, and then walked up to the open door...

Meryl

"Oh Vash", she scooted her chair out and walked over to him and put her arms around him, "There was no way you could have prevented it Vash its not your fault". The only thing that Meryl could think of was how much she loved this man. "Vash it's only been 6 months give her time and she'll adjust", she ran her fingers through his soft blond hair. "It's okay Vash we're here for her and thats what counts right now", she lifted his chin and looked in his eyes, "Im gonna make a plate for Knives you need to go feed him".

Milly

Milly cried into her pillow, "Oh Nick why did you have to leave so soon", she looked down at her stomach, "My little boy I'm so sorry I shouldn't be letting you hear your mother cry like this but I just can't help it".

"Sister Mary!" Wolfwood exclaimed, a wide smile on his face as he strode towards her, enfolding her in his arms. "I'm sorry I've been gone so long, what do you mean, 'something to tell me?' Are the others alright?" He was immediately afraid that they had lost the final battle, afraid that they were dead. "Is Milly okay?!" He shouted frantically, trying to keep his voice down so the kids wouldn't hear him.

(Sorry so short, not much to work with on this post, next one should be very good lol. But I really need to go, a lot of people waiting on me.. Sorry. I will post first thing in the morning.)

Sister Mary Catherine

The old nun chuckled, "Oh son yes their here come have a seat", she closed the door to her office behind him. She then sat at her desk across from him, "Now I want to ask something you didn't keep to your pastoral vows now did you", she laughed she knew that he now felt very awkward and confused. "Well not that I expected you to you were all ways the little rule breaker, now your wondering how I know that don't you", she smiled and put her hands on his. "That lovely young lady of your Milly, comes here all the time to help care for the children but dear she thinks your dead", "and thats very hard on a young woman in the condition she's in now I let that sink in because I'd much rather you go there and figure it out for yourself". She knew that Wolfwood was no dummy but he had been out of it for a while, "Well don't worry about it Im sure the good Lord had his plan for you and well you'll be forgiven". She stands, "All three of them live in a little house between here and December City you probably passed it on your way here and didn't even realize, but now lets get a good meal and some rest in you and then you can make your way there in morning". She hugged Wolfwood and led him into the dining room where the children all tackled him.

Milly

Milly came downstairs holding her back she wanted to see this horrible person up close and awake. She sat down across from Knives in the arm chair. She didn't say anything she just watched him she had left the the Stun Gun at the top of the stairs just in case they needed it. "So Mr. Knives how are you feeling?", she asked with allot of spite in her tone but still trying to be civil. She just looked down at the floor she just couldn't look him in the eyes.

"WHA--???" Wolfwood's jaw dropped, and his eyes glazed over. "You didn't finish him off? After all that pscho did to you, to the girls!?!? Vash, you can't be merciful like that to everyone!!! Especially not KNIVES!!" Wolfwood took a few steps back from Vash, and then leaned over the back of the couch looking at Milly, "Has he tried anything? Do you at least have him TIED UP?!?! I can unserstand he's your brother, Vash, but he's a murderer and a madman!"

Wolfwood returned the wave to the new girl, Trista, but he resumed speaking with Vash. "You're just like Milly, Vash. Too good for your own good." He knew they were strange words for a man of the cloth to say, but the world was just that way. No sense in denying it. "And if you made a promise, then fine. But I swear to God, if he tries to hurt Milly, or me... AGAIN!-- Then I won't hesitate."

By the time Wolfwood had finished speaking to Vash, Milly had finished speaking with Trista, so he walked over to her, wrapping his arms around her from behind. "Is Punisher here, too?" He whispered so Vash wouldn't hear him. Then he said in a normal voice to Trista, "Sorry about that. It's a long, complicated story... But it's nice to meet you miss. I'm Nicholas D. Wolfwood, and, well, I was a priest, but I don't know now, since I clearly broke my vows." He said, chuckling.

"I heard that Milly!" Wolfwood shouted with a laugh from the doorway. He put out his cigarette and flicked it out onto the dirt and came inside. "Hello, Meryl. How are you?" He asked as he took a seat with the ladies. "Ooooooh, this looks great!" He exclaimed as he got himself a plate and started scarffing down food.

Wolfwood

Wolfwood stood up "Listen man I was just trying to take him back to the orphanage before he ran out into the desert, He's from my orphanage", said Wolfwood. He really wasn't upset with the guy he imagined if it had been him in the same position he might have reacted the same way. He knelled down in front of Daniel, "Daniel calm down and come back with Big Brother okay and will find out whats going on. But its not a good idea to go running off like that if you get lost you could hurt". He put his hand out to shake the strangers hand, "The names Nicholas D. Wolfwood and who might you be?".

Wolfwood watched Sister Mary take the boy inside, then turned back to Tom Barrow. "No worries, I'm sure I would have done the same thing in your position.Well, I think it's safe to assume that there'd be work in town, or at least that's your best bet." He rubbed the stubble on his chin as he studied the guy. No gun? And he's somekind of wanderer. It's insane not to have a gun. "The Mute Gunman? Ashmont? Have you heard about this Milly?" He looked over to her, obviously he wouldn't know anything about it, seeing as this was his first day back in civilization.

Wolfwood finally woke up, expecting to feel refreshed, but was actually still dog-tired, and edgey. He took a shower and got dressed unceremoniously, then went to the door, preparing to go down stairs, but looked over to Punisher, leaning in the corner of the room, then back at the door knob. After one more long look at Punisher, he strode over to it then opened the gun compartment, taking out two pistols and then stowing them in the small of his back, hidden by his shirt and jacket.

He finally left the room, headed downstairs, noticing that the boys were gone now, along with Trista, and Knives was nowhere to be seen either. Wolfwood walked into the kitchen, where Milly and Meryl were just finishing cleaning up breakfast. "Good morning, girls." He said in as positive a voice as he could muster. "The boys have gone back to the orphanage already? I think I'll go over there in a few." The truth was, he wanted to get out of the house and just clear his head while he walked to the orphanage.

When Dallas and Houston burst through the door shouting about the orphanage, Wolfwood ran outside, armed with only the two pistols he had taken out of Punisher, and hopped on his motorcycle quickly getting to the orphanage. He followed through the door with both his pistols drawn, taking aim at the one who seemed to be in charge and the nearest henchman. He took in the situation, Mr. Barrow, armed with a pistol, Vash, standing in the center of the room, guns trained on his head, and Sister Mary, carrying her guns. Four children had been taken hostage by the bandits as well. Wolfwood was prepared to shoot and kill to protect these kids, but he waited for Vash to speak.

Wolfwood couldn't really say he was surprised about what Vash had said, and felt the same when the bandits just up and left. He'd seen Vash pull off way more intense situations without drawing his gun. Wolfwood remained standing in the doorway, the bandits walking timidly around him, as he still had his pistols out, and hadn't lowered his aim one bit. As the leader passed by, Wolfwood almost touched him with the barrel of his gun, giving him a wicked look at the same time. "If I see you again, I won't hesitate to pull the trigger."

Tom collapsed into a chair after they were all out the door, and Wolfwood stowed one of his pistols, taking out a match and a bent cigarette, put it in his mouth, then lit it. His other pistol remained in his hand, ready for a fight at a moment's notice, just in case the idiots came back. "Good job.... Ericks." Wolfwood said with a joking smile to Vash, then took a long drag of his cigarette.
