Milly

Milly went to the foot of the stairs, "Breakfast!", she called up she hoped that this would wake Meryl. "Meryl must have gotten to bed late last night", she said. She shrugged and went to get herself a plate.
____________
Trista

Trista sat down at the table across from Milly, "everyone kind of just ran off didn't they", she said to Milly, Milly nodded while trying to drink her tea. Trista looked over at Milly's pregnant tummy, she always thought motherhood was fascinating something she'd like to experience herself one day. "Milly have you been sleeping well lately?", she asked. "Well its been harder recently the baby seems to want to kick at night so no not so good, but it's totally worth it", said Milly.

Meryl turned beneath the covers peacefully before she heard Milly's voice down the stairs. With a start she shot up, her hair somewhat disheveled.

"Dammit! I must have overslept!" she jumped from the bed, changing into some decent clothes instead of her pajamas. Trying to muffle a yawn, she brushed her hair and tidied up her room as she finished dressing. If it's one thing she couldn't stand, it was a messy room!

Collecting herself as best she could so it wasn't apparent she has literally just woken up, she opened her door and walked down the stairs, "Coming!"

She walked into the dining room and saw Trista sitting at the table, "Well hello, Trista!" She smiled and fixed herself a plate before taking a seat. Looking to Milly she said, "How has your morning been?" She noticed her friend had some sort of peculiar glow this morning, more so than usual from being an expectant mother. But then again Meryl was completely unaware of Wolfwood's arrival.

Milly

Milly giggled, "Oh Meryl its so wonderful Nicholas is alive and he seems to be happy about the baby isn't wonderful, he on the porch smoking right now I'm gonna have to try to get him to quit before the baby gets here cause second hand smoke is bad for the baby".

Meryl's eyes widened with surprise, "My god Milly, that's wonderful news! But I mean...how?! Where has he been all this time?!" She was so relieved that he was alright and knew that Milly was more than ecstatic.

Looking to Trista, she laughed sheepishly, "Yeah I know, I didn't mean to sleep so long. I guess I had a rough night sleeping."

She heard Wolfwood's familiar voice, and beamed when she saw him, "It's wonderful to see you again Mr. Wolfwood! I've been great, can't complain."

((sorry guys was at work))

Knives looked at Vash peculiarly before looking off to the side. It was clear Vash had bothered him with his comment. He loved his brother, it did seem that his plan was only driving them apart. But it took gruesome creatures to experiment on Plantes the way humans did, and he wished Vash could see that. He and his brother were the best and possibly only outcomes of these horrible experiments, and those humans were going to destroy the planet with their greedy harmful ways. Of course there was an exception, he though thinking of Rem.
Knives narrowed his eyes and mumbled something about "ideological nonsense."
"Breakfast!" He heard from downstairs. There was scuffling a few rooms down, before Knives stood up straight.
Before turning around to exit, he looked at Vash. "Come. Eat."

Vash looked up at Knives and sighed, maybe Meryl had been right, maybe there was still was some hope for Knives. The fact that he had not just going on a killing rampage as soon as he was strong enough to walk gave him so comfort. But this girl Vash wasn't even sure if she knew what she was, it was obvious that she was younger than he and his brother. Had someone found the documentation on him and Knives and tried to.. to.. Tesla the one they had created before them. Wait what was that girls name Trista now that was eerie and creepy. "All right I'm coming", when Knives told him to go eat, he could let him out of his sight for nothing there was to much at stake now. Milly, Meryl, and now Trista.

Trista

Trista could feel the two plants coming down the stairs, they were like yin and yang Vash and Knives. Vash was very calming and happy, Knives was chaotic and somewhat angry. Fitting they should be twins, she smiled and looked at the stairs.

Milly

Milly looked at Woolfwood, "Oh honey you asked about your Cross Punisher its upstairs in my closet", she said with a smile. Going back to her food she had noticed the baby had stopped kicking her, she looked down at her stomach and chuckled, "Now you stop kicking all last night you kept me and now you go to sleep". Trista chuckled at Milly talking to her stomach.

Knives took his place at the the doorway, once again leaning on the rim as if observing the rest of the room. This stirred him slightly, all of this peace. He was not dense; he knew everyone here had a reason to hate him, save the stranger woman named Trista. Especially Wolfwood, who had been shot by his mentor under Knives' control. And this Milly, who mustve thought Wolfwood was dead for so long.
But what bothered him even more was this girl, who seemed very conscious of their presence, just as he and Vash were of hers. Why was she so different? He wasn't sure how he felt about the answer he came up with.

Trista

Trista watched as Vash came and grabbed a plate of food and Knives stayed "out of the loop", "Here Vash you can have my seat", she stopped when she realized she had used his real name and clapped her hand over her mouth hoping no one had noticed. She got up and made a plate bringing it over to Knives. "You should eat as well Mr. Knives" she said with a slight smirk, he seemed so different from the rest, allot like herself in someways. He was quite a bit taller than her she observed and kind of handsome , she stopped and shook her head, "Why are you thinking so foolishly Trista you had more important things to worry about than men", she said to herself.

Vash, she'd called him. He almost thought too deeply about how she might know, before thinking about the oafs they resided with. It was obvious she posed no threat to his brother if she knew about him already and hadn't gone to authorities. As Trista handed him a plate of food, he registered a smirk and some kind of vibe. A different vibe.. He smirked as well and glanced at her eyes, which held a kind of mischeif.
"Stop that," he thought to himself. He wasn't even sure what she was yet. If she was human, there was no way he could even think...
"Minx," he muttered very low, chuckling to himself and eating what was on his plate.

Trista

Trista backed away slowly,"What just happened I think i just read his thoughts how is that possible", she said to herself she shook her head again and went to the living room almost frantic. She grabbed her bag and pulled out her research notebook, she was sure she looked like a mad woman doing this but she didn't care. She flipped through her solar plant schematics, and other things she had jotted down over the past month. Nothing she had nothing on what just happened so she wrote it down, she had been around plats her whole life and never had anything like that. She looked up at Knives again, "What is it about him", she was stumped.

Watching as Trista left into the livingroom, searching frantically through a notebook, Knives suddenly became aware of his obvious staring. He growled to himself, suddenly angry. He couldn't be thinking about anything like that now. The rest of the room was so quiet; it was awkward and annoying. He was an observant thing but what fun was there if there was nothing to watch?

Trista

Trista sighed she got up and went back to Knives, "So Knives what do you plan on doing with your self now that you have recovered", she asked trying to sound nonchalant. She looked up at him, "What did you do before all this happened?". She looked over at Vash, "I suppose that you will be trying to get reacquainted with your brother. You seem very different from him he can be so foolish and goofy sometimes" she said. The first time she had met Vash he had come running out of the house with a very angry Meryl chasing after him. "He seems to be infatuated with the short dark haired girl but to...", she didn't want to say say shy because he had blatantly been trying to grope her, "but to... Awkward".

"Hm." Knives chuckled at Trista's questions. How would he answer this? "Yes, as of now I'm intent on familiarizing myself with mundane life," he started. How would she react if she really knew? The destruction of cities and the near ruining of many of the lives in this very room. Maybe she did already? He ignored this question completely, sighing. "It has been long since I've even held a conversation.." Pausing, Knives took a moment to think.
"But one day, I am going to change the world for the better," he resolved to say, sounding and looking a little nostalgic.

Trista

Trista chuckled at this comment, "You sound like my father to bad there aren't more that think like he and you do this world wouldn't be so cruel and unforgiving". She thought back to the many meetings her and her father had presented their findings on the fact the plants were living beings and that using them to power the planet was wrong. But their words fell on deaf ears, the only thing they cared about is how much money they would loose transferring over to alternate forms of energy. She looked at Knives, "Needless to say my fathers ideas are not widely accepted by the people of Gunsmoke. But thats not unusual people can be quite short sighted".

Wolfwood could very clearly hear Trista and Knives speaking. "Cruel and unforgiving. Yes, those two words suit Gunsmoke wonderfully." He took another bite of his toast before going on. "And more often than not, that is what you must be to survive here." He looked at Vash, "But there are always exceptions. And has it really been so terrible since the $$60,000,000,000 man's bounty was taken off?" And why was it taken off?, he thought to himself, Because Knives wasn't plotting off in the shadows anymore, but will he start again now?

Milly

Milly looked over at Wolfwood, he looked like something was bothering him she looked over at Knives and assumed it was probably because Knives was alive. She still wasn't to happy about it either but as Vash had said he made the decision and they all had the choice to stay or go. But they were friends and friends stuck together and besides Mr. Knives seemed "alright" for now. She found it odd how he could sit a talk to Trista though, it just seemed that Trista and him where drawn to each other she couldn't explain it. But what was stranger is that Knives looked as though he was enjoying himself, he had already smiled down at the young woman a couple of times. Was it possible that such a being as horrible as Knives can be "different", someone so hateful and selfish, actually be loving and compassionate. She looked at Wolfwood yes it was possible for people to be forgiven and make a better life, but it had to be a choice of their own. She got up from her chair walked over to Wolfwood and put her arms around his neck whispering in his ear, "I love you and I'm so grateful your here", she kissed him on the cheek and decided to go upstairs and get dressed.

Knives made a grunting noise in agreement at Trista and Wolfwood's comments. Taking in the cruel irony of Trista's belief in him, finished what was on his plate. He looked at Vash, who was being exceptionally quiet and unlike himself today.
"It has been very quiet since the Humanoid Typhoon's reign," he noted, barely to the people in the room and mostly to himself.

Trista

Trista smiled and took Knives's plate from him whether he asked or not she would do it, she went to the sink and washed it along with the others. After she was finished she sat on the couch and began to look over her research notebook again. Schematics and formulas were scribbled throughout her mind never seemed to shut down. She always had some sort of idea or hypothesis on one thing or another. She sighed she was actually kind of bored.

Milly

Milly came back down stairs dressed and ready, she came and put her arms around Wolfwoods neck and kissed him on the cheek. "Well Nick what do you want to do you wanna stick around here or go to the orphanage?".

"I love you too Milly," Wolfwood said as she put her arms around him the first time. He chuckled, surprising himself, at Knives comment about the Humanoid Typhoon. "His 'reign'?"

"You might not believe me, Knives," Wolfwood said, going along with the fact that they were obviously trying to hide Vash's true identity, even though he had no idea what his 'fake' name was, "But I saw him once. And he wasn't the one blowing everything up and ruining cities. It was the greedy bastards that were after the bounty."

After Milly came back and asked what he wanted to do, he said, "I'll go with you, love. The children were probably disappointed when they woke up and I had already vanished." He laughed.

Knives answered, a little too quickly, "I believe you." Wolfwood's comment surprised him and made him feel peculiar. Everyone since he had woken was trying to prove the worth of humans. At least now he knew there were some people willing to admit their faults? These thoughts were conflicting with his whole way of life, and it made him slightly agitated to think too deeply about itt.
"Your father," Knives directed to Trista, noticing the sketches and long notes scribbled there. "What does he do?"

Trista

Trista looked up at Knives, "Oh my father is the plant manager for December City, and the top researcher of alternate forms of energy. Many years ago when my father and grand-father discovered that plants were living beings he began to try to create alternate forms of energy. But needless to say their ideas have not been widely accepted, Ive been working on it myself see". She hands her notebook to Knives, "Take a look I don't mind I imagine you can understand my schematics, we have been concentrating our efforts on Solar energy since there is such an abundance of it on Gunsmoke. Unfortunately as I said before people are short sighted and stubborn to say the least. But that hasn't stopped my family, from trying to change things right now my grandfather is busy trying to make a prototype Solar generator". She smiled thinking of how things could be if her family's dreams were realized, "If it gets approved that means we can start transferring the plants over so they can live but not have to work to power the planet". Tears began to well up in her eyes, "It makes me so angry to think that those beings are used so cruelly like a battery, and then when their used up they put them through the "Last Run" it is..." she had heard from her father that the last run was the cruelest thing he had ever seen the human race do. "A last ditch effort to use what ever is left a horrible end for such innocent creatures".

The children were disappointed to learn that Wolfwood had left already, but took comfort in the knowledge that he had just gone down the road to visit with his friends. Sister Mary had told them that they could go and see him if they were good and did their chores. Everything was going well until one of the boys, Daniel, began acting strangely. At first it just looked like he was lagging behind the rest, after all he was a bit slower than the other children, but his behavior just grew odder as the day wore on; he began constantly checking over his shoulder, jumping at shadows, and even stopping dead in his tracks a few times with an unsettled look on his face.

After lunch, Thomas pulled Sister Mary aside and said, "Sister Mary, I think that someone's been following me all day."

Milly and Wolfwood

Milly and Wolfwood walk up to the orphanage smiling and holding hands. Many of the kids come running, "Big Brother, Big Sister!" they all giggle. "Wow looks like everyone did a wonderful job on their chores today", says Milly, Wolfwood looks down at Milly as she smiles and encourages the children. He couldn't ask for anyone better to be the mother of his child he thought. Then he noticed Sister Mary had pulled one of the boys over and was talking to him.

"It feels like someone's watching me all the time," Daniel said. "That's how it started anyway. Then I started to hear footsteps following me around. I thought it was just one of the other kids playing a prank on me, but then I started to hear the laughter. It's really quiet, but it doesn't sound like anyone I've ever heard before."

Daniel's voice became increasingly manic as he described the person following him. When he finished, he burst into tears and clung to Sister Mary like a drowning man would a piece of wood. Suddenly, his entire body went rigid with fear. He whipped his head around to look over his shoulder. Whatever he saw chilled him to his core. He screamed like he was possessed and bolted from the house. He ran down the road, screaming all the way.
