a character in “Trinkets for Dr. Owl”, as played by BAWADABOO

Description

Ryan Huntington
Age: 21
Sexuality: Straight
Likes: Clouds, Stars, Fruit, Movies
Dislikes: Chocolate, Manual Labor

Image

Standing at 5'11, and weighing around 169 lbs Ryan is not an intimidating individual. His silvery blonde hair covers his ears and falls in front of his eyes. While he isnt bulky, he is well built. Most often he is seen wearing blue or black jeans. His wardrobe is full of long sleeved shirts of various colors, which he always rolls up. A large black tattoo covers his left shoulder and bicep. This, as well as his ear piercings lead some to believe he is trouble. This doesnt tend to do him favors in some situations.

Personality

Image

Ryan is an easygoing guy. He doesnt go out of his way to challenge himself or work hard. He is calm and quiet for the most part. People see him as just a slacker, but he is much more. He is a dreamer. He is waiting for his "Dare to be great" moment that will give him the sense that he has actually accomplished something. Nothing he has ever worked toward has payed out much, leading him to the frame of mind that life is just going through the motions. He chooses to enjoy life the way he wishes until his reckoning comes. but until then, Hed rather stare at the clouds.

Equipment

Ryan doesnt carry around much of anything. His cellphone, wallet, and jewlery are all that he keeps on him.

History

Ryan's childhood wasnt overly traumatizing, or even sad. He was a happy child, but when he reached adulthood he didnt fit well with responsibility. His parents wouldnt get off of his back about doing something with his life, and he could never get them to understand his lifestyle. This led to a rebellious streak when he was 16. He got a tattoo, and many ear piercings. He hasnt augmented his body in years, but he likes what he did and keeps his earings in daily. His parents were obviously suprised when he graduated high school and instantly set him out on his own. For two years he has been living on his girlfriends couch, but she has had enough.

Reaction:

Julia stomped into the living room in a rage. She threw a suitcase at the man sleeping on her couch. "Get the hell up, and off my couch" she growled. She walked away and into the kitchen to make her lunch.

Ryan grumbled in his sleep and threw the bag off of him. He sleepily slid himself off of the couch and onto the floor. He sat up and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He spotted the alarm clock on the coffee table. 11:30 Am. He looked around the room confused. Julia walked back in with a glass of water, took a sip, and threw it on him. Ryan jerked back as he was soaked. He stood angrily. "What the hell?" he asked. She picked up the bag and threw it at him once more. "I said get out!" she growled. "I cant put up with your lazy free-loading ass anymore, Get out, and dont come back." she said sternly. He dropped the bag. "I wont need this, I dont have much." he breathed. He plucked his wallet and cell phone from the table before heading to the closet. He pulled out a grey zip-up hoodie and slipped it over his white t-shirt. He slipped his feet into the pair of black sneakers and opened the door, stopping before he left the house. "Thanks for three years babe, sure wish you wouldve done this sooner." he growled. "Just get out Ryan." He rolled his eyes and walked out the door, leaving it open. He made his way down the steps, but before he hit the last one Julia appeared once more. "And take your mail too!" she yelled and threw an envelope at him. It struck him on the back of the head and fell to the concrete. He was confused. No one sends him letters. He was tempted to leave it, but curiosity got the best of him, and he retrieved it from the ground. He tore it open and read the note inside.

Dear Recipient,

I, Dr. Owl, invite you to my abode this Tuesday night, 8 PM. At the end of Cross Bar Lane, I reside in Number Nineteen. You will recognize it by it's tilting charisma. Do consider this invitation and arrive promptly. Missing this opportunity will only end in regret for you in your later years, I assure you.

Hope you are in good health,

Dr. Owl

He raised an eyebrow. He had never heard of a Dr. Owl before. He shoved the letter in his pocket. He was out on his ass without a place to stay, family to go to, a girlfriend, or even any good friends to help him out. "What do I have to lose?" he mused. He headed for the nearest hotel, He would have to stay there until Tuesday night. He flipped his hood up and began walking down the street.

So begins...

Ryan peeked an eye open. He violently threw his left arm out of the covers and knocked the obnoxious alarm clock off the nightstand, and promptly went back to sleep.

An hour later the phone by the bedside started to ring. He grumbled and answered it. "Yes?" he asked in a sleepy groan. "Mr. Huntington, this is your 6:00 wake up call." the lady at the reception desk stated. Ryan blinked slowly three times trying to remember why he needed such a wake up call. "Thank you Ma'am."

He slid out of the hotel bed and stood lazily glancing around the room for his cell phone. After a minute or so he located it on top of the tv. He retrieved it and checked the calender, It was Tuesday. "Oh, yeah! Tuesday at 8:00" He remembered the meeting he was invited to. He was still skeptical about this Dr. Owl, but his reservations were put on hold. He was not gonna spend another night in the hotel.

After showering and getting dressed he was finally ready to check out of this crappy hotel. He swiped his wallet and phone from on top of the bed and left the room. He reached the lobby a few minutes later and handed the receptionsit the room key. "Thank you very much sir." she recited. He gave a small smile before heading out the double doors into the street. He flipped his hood up and hailed a cab for Cross Bar lane.

Minutes later he arrived. The cabbie was paid and was now scooting out of the vicinity, and for good reason. The house was kinda creepy. but to be fair, many thought Ryan was kind of creepy. "You never know"

He walked up the front steps onto the porch and rang the doorbell. "Here goes nothing"

I was almost at the bottom of the stairs when the front door began to creek open. I shoved the rest of my sandwich down and quickly ran up to the door. I brushed a couple of crumbs off of my black pants and pulled open the door. A boy, coming up to my chest, stood on the doorstep. He smiled up at me, his smile crooked. As if he knew something I didn't.

"Hello," I said puzzled by his appearance.

"Hi, I got this letter." He smiled showing me the small envelope I had dropped off a few days ago.

"I'm sorry, there must be some mistake, how old are you?" I questioned.

He smiled, a quiet laugh escaping his lips. "I'm 19."

I blinked several times, utterly puzzled. He looked 12! "Are you sure?"

He laughed louder this time. "That's the first time I've received that response. I'm fairly short, I know."

"Um, can I get your name?"

"Zane."

He was one of the boys Owl had requested. I remembered that name on the list. I allowed him in and showed him to the living room where Amanda and Hayley sat waiting. They seemed to be making good conversation, but their words began to silence as I entered. "Ladies, this is Zane. Please, have a seat."

Zane moved past me, his small boyish frame bouncing to one of the lone chairs. "Would you like anything to drink or eat may-"

A loud chiming sound echoed through the house. I could hear the woods creak and the lighting fixtures rattle. Was that...a doorbell?

"Excuse me," I said spinning quickly and heading back to the front door. The sound had finally died off and the house settled back into it's tilting shape. In the five years that I've been working for Dr. Owl, I never knew that this place had a doorbell.

I pulled open the door. A tall boy, with snow white hair leaned against the wall, his azure eyes downcast. "Um...hi...um...how can I help you today?"

Ryan smiled and followed the woman in. His suspicions that she was Owl were dwindling. She was much too young. If she was Owl she would be more articulate when speaking to the ones she summoned. When he entered the house he was struck by the vastness of it. He was busy admiring the house when the woman brought him back to earth. She led him to a room where many others were seated. One small boy, and two other girls, teenagers. She asked him to sit. Ryan smiled and obliged. The house was enormous, but something about it was a little... sinister.

Everyone in the room was situated in an awkward silence. The teens in the corner were getting along quite well, but they still seemed anxious. He was distracted from his scanning of the room by the voice of the red head who greeted him. She asked for his name.

"Ryan Huntington." He answered. She hadnt given hers either. "yours?" he asked.

I cleared my throat. "Lorelei Gwen. But please call me Rory."

An awkward silence fell over the group of teens. I took this opportunity to slip out of the living room and climb up the stairs to Dr. Owl's office. I knocked twice before letting myself again, only this time, the space was empty.

The plate with the PB&J sandwich sat empty upon his desk. Just a few bread crumbs on top. His glass of water had been drained. I grabbed the dishes and made my way back downstairs. Owl was probably sitting up in the attic. I was only allowed in there on very few occasions. Like when he was hungry and wanted something to eat, but was too busy studying to want to come downstairs.

Thunder boomed again outside, but there was still no sign of rain. The house shifted again. I deposited the dishes in the sink and made my way back to the living room, but was stopped by the harsh splatter of rain slamming against the house.

"Oh no," I gasped. I pulled open the door, rain was coming down in sheets. My poor black convertible sat in the driveway with it's top down. "Shit!"

I ran down into the driveway, the rain immediately soaking me through. "No! No! No!" I cried noticing my text books for school sitting in the back seat. Their pages probably soaked through. "No!" I growled leaning over the door of my car and sliding the key into the ignition. The car roared to life and I quickly pressed the roof button. It started to unfold itself and wrap over my car. I quickly grabbed my text books from the car, turned off the car, and ran back inside.

"Owl!" I yelled as I slammed the door shut behind me.

Ryan wanted to strike up a conversation with the attractive red head, but didnt get the chance before she left the room. No one else seemed to be ready for conversation either. The two girls were still chatting away, and the boy didnt look like he was ready to chum it up. Ryan took the chance to rest his eyes. Unfortunately, he couldnt do this eiether. Thunder roared over the house and woke him up. Soon after he saw Rory sprint out the door and into the rain. He was confused.

He stood and walked to the window. He instantly felt for the poor girl. She was scrambling inside a black convertable trying to put the top up. Once done she scooped up a pile of books and ran back inside, soaked. He could hear her scream "OWL" as she slammed the door.

Ryan wanted to help, but there was nothing he could do, and it was not his place.

Ryan saw Rory run up the stairs with her books, and then minutes later come back down in a new outfit. That was quick. She reached the group and asked them if they would like anything. Ryan wasn't thirsty, but the young boy was. The young boy then gave his name, breaking the silence between the atendees. Zane. Ryan would wait to give his name. He wanted to know if anything was going to go wrong first. His thoughts were disturbed by the man in the lab coat coming down the stairs. Dr. Evil in a lab coat, cliche'. this was obviously Owl. The good doctor stood in front of them and casually asked. "What is the number?"

Ryan, again, remained silent in his chair, surveying the situation. Rory left to get the door, and returned with a new girl. Another young one. He had the thought that only he, Rory, and Owl were old enough to drink here. He then looked at the teenage girls. He was sure they werent innocent enough to not have had a taste.

Rory left, after bringing the wet girl a towel. Ryan wasnt about to sit and wait for Dr. Doom to speak up again. The guy seemed like a drama queen. He stood and followed Rory. she was the only person here his age, and the only one he felt the urge to talk to. He entered what looked like the kitchen and saw Rory sitting against the cupboards. "Shouldnt you be in there with us, or have you heard all of this before?" he asked her. He wasnt sure if Dr. Owl had these little meet and greets regularly or not. This would help him form an opinion on whether or not he would stay.

"What's he talking about? The mysteries of Quantum Physics?" I questioned. "Because if so, then yes, I have heard it before. Get that man talking about numbers and you'll never be able to leave." I sighed downing the rest of my water.

He looked down at me, his eyes squinting, as if thinking of something. "Let me guess," I said sliding the cup onto the counter top above me. "You're not sure if you trust Dr. Owl? Believe me, I don't blame ya. He gives off a strange impression."

He chuckled quietly. I leaned my head against the cupboard, suddenly feeling tired. "But, just wait until after he explains everything before deciding to bail." I laughed. "I don't think that'll help change your mind, but he can be very convincing."

I looked down at my hands. "Almost too convincing." I grumbled. "Would you like something to eat? I'm famished!"

Ryan laughed. He really hoped this man wasnt about to give him a physics lesson. That was a near death sentence. She guessed he was feeling weary about Owl. Well here's your sign. A strange impression. Yeah, thats it. She slouched a bit. He wondered how long shed been awake. He didnt think he would want to sleep too deeply with this guy in the house. She gave him a small reassurance about staying. At least he knew it wasnt the house that made Owl creepy. Rory lived here, and she seemed just fine.

She suddenly seemed disturbed by something. Her last words were a little out of place with her normal tone. He elected to ignore it, probably his mind playing tricks on him.

"No thanks, Ill be alright." he said. He looked around the kitchen. Even the kitchen seemed off to him. but the food made here couldnt be horrible, and even so. He was sure he had had worse. He reached out a hand to help her off the floor. He brought her to her feet. "Am I going to get in trouble for ducking out of Dr.'s presentation?"

I rolled my eyes grumbling under my breath. "Sorry, food will have to wait," I said looking up at Ryan. "Rain check?" I started giggling. "Get it? Because it's raining? Yeah?" I laughed clapping my hands.

"We should go. He's not kidding." I said suddenly straight faced.

I lead him out of the kitchen, the foyer empty, nothing but the sounds of rain splattering on the roof to break the silence. I arrived in the living room seconds before Ryan. I smiled at the Doctor.

"Really? How would you know anything about my flirting skills?" I spat crossing my arms over my chest. "All you do is spend time in your office, fantasizing about home sweet home."

He eyed me, his toothpick moving awkwardly from back to forth.

"Well, get on with it then. You've obviously brought yourself down here for a reason." I said gesturing to our guests.

He nodded his heads towards the guests, giving me a knowing look, a smiled on his lips.

I rolled my eyes, standing straighter. "Would anyone like anything to drink? Something to eat perhaps?" I questioned monotonously.

"A peanut butter and jelly sandwich maybe?" I added glaring at the doctor. He smiled.

Ryan perked at the stern voice from the other room. "Guess thats a yes" he grumbled. He smiled at Rory, "Raincheck." He agreed. He turned on his heels and strode back into the room with his hands up. "Sorry Doctor" he said. He didnt think it would be beneficial to say much else, but he did have an answer for him. "The number is 24 by the way." He said this and took his old seat back. He couldnt help but wonder how Owl planned to "Reprimand" the two of them. This should be good. Ryan kicked back, crossed his legs and put his hands behind his head. Alright Dr. Strangelove, what's your deal?

He listened to Rory smart mouth Owl. He couldnt help but cheer her on in his head. Take him down a peg girl!

Ryan watched Rory in the corner spew hate out of her eyes. She was obviously pissed. Why would she work for such a momentous tool? Her eyes were daggers as she pulled her leg behind her and leaned on the door. The moment was only worsened when she was made to stand straight. Poor girl. Ryan once again found himself feeling sorry for her.

Another knock, and another question. What kind of question is that. How would one answer that. Ryan was a bit amused that he got his answer correct. He wasnt sure how, but he was now superior to the others in Doc's eyes. Not that he cared much about Doctor Horrible's opinion.

He got his quesiton right, thats all he needed. He wasnt going to answer this question.

The lights went out.

'For christs sake, could this get any more creepy?" Ryan stayed put and tried to adjust his vision. He didnt want to be blind when Owl went Jason Vorhees on everyone.

(I'm running out of doctors....)

I immediately put my foot down the moment the lights went out. I could feel Owl move towards me, his lab coat swooshing around him. It was always easy to hear him moving with that thing. He placed a hand on my shoulder, tightening his grip.

I could hear our guests started to freak out. This was very horror movie-ish. "Everyone please remain calm." I said loudly. "Now, just relax. Can someone please close that window. Owl, can you go grab some matches from your office. I shall return shortly."

I left the living room, crossing carefully through the foyer. The kitchen was darker than the living room, since there was only one small window high up in the corner. I fished around, waving my arms in front of me like a maniac. Finally, my hands found the counter top. I followed it along to the small broom closet next to the end. Pulling it open, a broom fell and smacked me in the face.

"For the love of Pete! I swear! One day!" I started yelled shoving the broom out of the way. On the door was everything we needed in case of a power outage. A small lantern with fresh batteries, and three flashlights. I grabbed all of them, turning on the lantern.

It lit up the entire kitchen. I fumbled with the flashlights as I made my way back to the living room. Owl was already back with a couple of matches for the candles, and someone had graciously closed the window. I set the lantern down on the coffee table between the two sofas. I handed Hayley and Ryan a flashlight and the last to Owl. I took the matches from his hand and began walking around the space lighting the candles.

Owl repeated his question once more. If no one answered soon I was going to do it myself. And doing so would probably lead to more punishment considered I ruined it for everyone else. Glancing at Ryan, I decided to keep my mouth shut.

Ryan had been sitting comfortably in the chair the whole time the lights were out. Rory tried to calm everyone down, and left to go fix the problem. He had to give her some credit. If Owl treated him like that, he would be out the door. She returned moments later with flashlights, hanging one to Ryan. He smiled and grabbed the flashlight, turning it on once he had it. The room became flooded in light as the rest of the flashlights were turned on. 'the batteries are probably gonna die the next time Owl speaks anyway'.

The others began answering/ disputing his question. The newest girl gave a comprehensive definition of the word, while one of the teenage girls chose to whine about the question, rather than face it head on. Ryan felt eyes on him, prbably wondering how he managed to get the question right. He as wondering the same thing.

Ryans eyes shifted to the small boy. He had stood and was talking to Rory. A slight twinge of jealousy hit him, but then he realied this boy wasnt going to be a problem. 'Have a seat kid, shes out of your league.'

[b]"All right, all right, you want to know why you're here? You won't partake in my tests? Fine, but know that because of this, Ryan is now your leader. And I suppose Toriko, you will be his second in command, though your answer was not satisfactory."

Toriko felt a little insulted. How could her answer not be right? Then again, that question could have thousands of different answers, and this Dr. Owl could've been expecting something completely different. Her eyes turned onto the one who had answered before. She hadn't been here the time Dr. Owl must've asked the first question, but she couldn't see how this guy could be any kind of leader. Why would they need a leader anyway? She then glanced over at the girl who had burst out about the ridiculousness of the question. She noted that she most likely wouldn't get along with that one and decided it would just be best to avoid her unless necessary.

She was glad that he was finally going to explain the reason for the invitations, but was still itching to understand what the real answer was to the question he had given. If hers wasn't correct, then what could it be? How many answers would she have to go through in her head to find it? Then there was the part f him calling them rude for not waiting. Weren't they supposed to all arrive at 8:00pm? It was almost nine now, of course they were getting impatient. Then again, Toriko had shown up late as well, but only because she had to wait for an opening to get out of the house. "I'll explain it." She answered, leaning an inch or so further back into her chair.

Aiden had planned to say something like, 'Hi, I was given this invitation, sorry for being late!', or maybe 'Man it's really raining out!', or maybe a, 'Nice to meet you I'm Aiden. I know I'm really late, but it's had to find such a house in the middle of a storm'. As usual, he didn't say anything. He just gave her a small, nervous smile and followed her into the house.

"I'm Rory."

It was a nice name. Very pretty.

"I'm going to get you a towel to dry off a little. Would you care for anything to drink? Something to eat maybe?"

Great, she asked him a question. How would he answer it? He didn't want to sound rude and not except her offer. But then again he'd already eaten before he came and he wasn't very thirsty after walking through a waterfall of rain. He didn't think he needed a towel either. Since he had his umbrella with him, which he clutched nervously in his left hand, he'd only gotten a little damp although his pants legs were pretty soaked. "I..uh.." He started, then just simply shook his head and gave her a little smile as he walked into the room. His nervousness grew. There were a lot of people heEr, and he was probably the latest of them all. He felt his cheeks turn a little bit red and he quickly took a seat as far away from the others as he could, keeping his eyes on the floor.

Alex looked around the room, surveying the other's expressions at what Dr. Owl had said. From a different world, had he said? This sparked an interest. She leaned forward in her chair a bit, raising an eyebrow slightly. She seemed to be the only person not questioning him. She had so many questions. Too many, actually. Giving the girl that had fallen asleep a mere glance, she returned her attention back to the eyes of the rather old man in front of her. Her curious purple eyes scanned him, wanting more information. Why did the name of the other world he mentioned sound so familiar?

"GlenDock..." She repeated to herself, so quiet the only other person that could possibly have heard her was the fellow next to her. Ryan was it? Whatever his name was, he was the only one here that was her age, and she decided she would stick with him. After all, she wasn't one to hang out with a bunch of 18 year-olds.

Wait! Now it made sense. Back when her parents didn't hate her, her mom read her a story. A rather old story book, one she used to love. What did it matter? That was all fiction, said so right on the first page. But she was still leaning forward in her chair with a curious glint in her eyes. She believed him. Why? He was probably just a crazy old hoot.

"Avengers From GlenDock." I must sound crazy, mumbling these things to myself... Alex thought. She had said the title of the book a bit too loud, so everybody in the room could hear it. Unless they were going deaf. But she really doubted that. She looked at the old man, waiting for some form of recognition. There was one. Slightly, you could barely see it, but it was there. She raised her eyebrow a little higher, as if questioning him.

Toriko's eyes widened a little as Dr. Owl went on explaining why they were here. Is this some kind of joke? She thought to herself. How could he not be from this world? Was he insane or something?

"There are many more complications, I assure you, but do not bother worrying about them. Your earthly minds would not be able to handle it."

This was when her eyes narrowed a little and she began to feel a little angry. There was nothing, absolutely nothing she couldn't handle. The second he called his world superior to theirs, she immediately stopped liking him. Though she didn't really like him in the first place. She now knew why she was getting an eerie feeling when she approached the house. There was a loud clutter and Rory went tumbling onto the floor. She'd fallen asleep and he'd waken her up. Her mother had done the same thing to her a few times when she'd caught her dozing off while doing her online schooling. She balled her hands up into fists and clenched her teeth. Her mind was swarming with questions. What the hell do you want us to do? Why us? You're obviously crazy! There is no such thing as parallel worlds! What do you expect from us!

She restrained herself from bursting out. It would be very childish of her to get angry and start yelling now.

"Excuse me, Doctor, but what type of tasks will we be doing? that is, if you don't mind me asking..."

She blinked and turned her head to look at the boy who had spoken first. She'd just noticed he was in the room. Man was he small. Everyone seemed around the same age but, he looked like an 11 year old! Though, she did let out a small sigh and scolded herself for not keeping as calm as he seemed to be. A mystery is a mystery..

Ryan took it all in at once. Dr. Owl was going a mile a minute, at least it seemed like that to him. So many things were being fed into his mind at once. Going into paintings? Retrieving trinkits? The only thing that was plaugeing his mind, was that he was the leader. He had never had any leadership responsibility, or experience. He had always been a bit of a follower, but that was only because h couldnt see the importance in anything he was doing before this. Could this be it? Could this be his chance to make something of himself. He dropped his head to block everything out. His mind was flooded. He couldnt think straight. Thankfully he was pulled from his thoughts by a woman next to him. She was mumbleing something. He turned his head to listen closer. She said something about Avengers... or something like that. He disregarded it, but took notice of the woman. She was his age, and was quite beautiful. He would keep her in mind for the future. Now there were two others in his age group.

He looked around the room, seeing if anyone had reacted to his being named the leader. He hoped they wouldnt mutiny, but you never know. The others were reacting to Doc's description, and deciding whether or not they would stay. So far one of the Teenage girls and the boy had spoken up. He realized he should probably be paying attention. Ryan honed in on what Doc was saying.

Doc headed upstairs to show them the painting. Ryan stayed behind a bit, mulling everything over. The pressure was getting to him, but he was trying to put it all back into his head. Once everyone had passed him, he headed after the group

Zane put a hand on Ryan's shoulder in passing. He saw the anxiety in the other boy's eyes, and smiled. He whispered quietly. "you'll do fine. I promise." he bounced off after the good doctor with a smile. the stairs creaked, but he had already figured that if he was going to die tonight, it wouldn't be on the staircase. The doctor continued to lead them, and Zane stood to let the others pass. Smiling innocently at Rory once again. he stayed close to her, making sure that she didn't trip on the already rickety stairs

Rory watched Owl leave, his lab coat swishing behind him as he went. He was obviously overjoyed that he was finally getting this done. She watched Hayley follow him out and up the stairs. Zane was also one to speak up and ally with Owl, but he had yet to move from his spot. Unlike everyone else here, Rory didn't have a choice. She had studied GlenDock with the Doctor for the past couple of years. The ones who did agree wouldn't stand a chance in GlenDock without her knowledge to help them out. She stood slowly, her eyes glancing between everyone.
"At least go through one painting," She said. "I know, it sounds absolutely crazy, but just give it a try."

She made her way out to the foyer and up the stairs, but instead of turning left towards the attic steps, she turned right towards her bedroom. She had to grab a few things. Her bag sat on top of her desk already filled with a couple of things. Flashlights, extra batteries, some food and water, and of course a small notebook filled with notes about each painting, the trinkets, and where to find them. She grabbed her black jacket from her desk chair and made her way to the attic. That candles were still brightly lit and her text books laid completely forgotten on the floor by the window seat.

Opposite the window were the paintings, hanging in a neat and tidy order. The first painting was dark, it was almost impossible to see the building hidden it's depths. Hayley stood staring at it, her eyes squinting.

"Morai's darkness is like no other," I explained startling her. "When the kingdom was consumed by it, the villagers started going crazy from lack of light. They started turning on one another, killing anyone who got in their way."

She gave me a horrified look.

"Just, be prepared for what's awaiting us in there."
