Lola's style fluctuates with her mood. One day she could be wearing a bright jumper and pinafore, then the next she's in all black with thick black eyeliner and deep plum lipstick to match. It's difficult to pin her down into one particular group, and just as her friends are, Lola's clothing is an eclectic mix. The only style she seems to keep away from is overtly girly things and particularly hot pink. Now dusky pink is another story, but most other bubblegum, neon, in-your-face pinks Lola would rather pass on.

5'10 // 120 lbs || A tall girl, Lola loves her height and constantly teases that she can stomp on boys that break her heart. Her frame is fairly slender with little curves, but the small amount of shape she does have, Lola adores.

From a chubby red-cheeked toddler to the pouty, slightly bored looking teenager she is today, Lola has always had a sense of individuality about her. Whether it be the way she wore her hair, or the colours she'd combined, Lola didn't like being just your average girl. Unconventionally beautiful, Lola's sweet - vaguely dozy - brown eyes give her a real approachable look, whilst her large lips draw most attention to them and are typically coated in some kind of balm or gloss making her pout ever more desirable. Once made fun of for her constantly red cheeks and nose, Lola has learnt to love her little blush so long as she doesn't get embarrassed as that's when her entire face will go red. With fingers like elder wands, she has been told countless times that she should be a pianist, however Lola could not play a tune to save her life.

Growing up with an adventuring Wizard father and a midwife Muggle mother, Lola had two rather contrasting role models throughout childhood. While Lola certainly identified more with her father's curiosity, Rose (her mother) was the parent who kept Lola grounded enough that she doesn't just see the world as sunshine and lollipops, but rather, is wary of the dangers that she could face in life, however that doesn't stop her from having fun.
There's no denying that Lola is often categorised as a 'wild card'. She gets into trouble at school frequently because of her skipping classes to go off adventuring or distracting the rest of the class with tales from her father's youth. Despite this, Lola holds a certain kind of charm that draws friends to her. She can definitely be selfish and stubborn, which is something her mother is forever reprimanding her about, but Lola does love those she considers to be family and wears her heart on her sleeve.
A true hopeless romantic, Lola is in love with the idea of love. Although she has personally never experienced love beyond the platonic affection she feels for family and friends, seeing how happy and adoring her parents are with each other makes Lola crave exactly that. She has been known to have a few hook ups but still, Lola wants more that just a make out session with a cute guy/girl. She wants to be swept off her feet, and despite Lola's friends saying that her standards are way too high, Lola knows that if she's to meet the love of her life, she can't just date anyone that'll have her. Arthur (her father) often comments that she is too good for any of the people she mentions around the house, which makes her laugh.

Being brought up with a Muggle mother means that Lola has never really found Muggles quite as fascinating as a lot of her Pureblood friends do. Lola has always had a lot of respect and love for her mother. Rose was, and always will be, a very strong woman. Raising her three daughters whilst her husband was out on long expeditions and adventures, all the while holding down a steady job means that Rose has always had a lot on her plate, but she is the kind of woman who just knows how to roll with the punches. Despite being a Muggle, Rose has never been particularly taken by the Magical community like most are.

Arthur was much like his middle daughter in his youth. Instilling in Lola is sense of adventure from childhood, he has always been the one person Lola has wholeheartedly trusted. Growing up always surrounded by interesting artefacts and strange looking magical creatures, Lola has adored anything even remotely magical since she was a tiny toddler. When she leaves Ilvermorny, Lola wants to follow in her father's footsteps and go around adventuring and writing down what she sees on her journey.

Although still young, Lola's elder sister Josie has already made a big name for herself within the Wizarding community. Being the youngest auror in her sector, Josie has always been incredibly ambitious and raced ahead of her classmates. Which is why it will come as no surprise that she was in the Horned Serpent house at Ilvermorny during her time. Although Josie and Lola were extremely close as children, now that Lola is still finishing school and Josie has such a hectic schedule, they've begun to drift apart.

Being a squib has been something that Lola's little sister has always struggled with. Unable to follow in her big sister's footsteps and go to Ilvermorny, Maddie was instead made to go to a normal Muggle school where she'd study Muggle subjects whilst her sister's were away in a castle learning how to control their magic. Because of this, Maddie has always been jealous of her elder siblings, but she also knows that it's not their fault.

Rose and Arthur's meeting was nothing if not extremely coincidental. Being such an unlikely match, when Rose ran into a bedraggled Arthur - who had just about escaped a Hippogriff attack with his life - she wasn't sure what to make of him at first. Despite being a midwife, the woman knew she had to help out with whatever skills she had. Patching Arthur up the best she could, Rose then helped him hobble to the nearest doctor and waited whilst he was professionally seen to.
Finding himself smitten by his saviour, once he was patched up, Arthur asked Rose if she'd like to go on a date with him. Unsure at first, Rose eventually agreed once she was won over by his awkward charm. Never being one to keep secrets, it only took Arthur two dates to confess he was a Wizard to this Muggle woman. Of course she didn't believe him at first, but once he proved himself and his abilities, Rose was bemused. Unlike every other Muggle he had encountered had either fainted or been delighted by his powers, but Rose simply laughed. Arthur realised she wasn't just your average Muggle woman, Rose was wise beyond her years and had this gleam of life in her eyes that made Arthur fall deeply in love with her.
The couple were married within the year and soon enough, Josephine came along. A happy little family living in the outskirts of Illinois, Arthur was free to develop Josie's abilities with her, and for her eight birthday the girl got her own broomstick. As the nearest family lived at least a mile away, it made hiding his abilities not particularly necessary. However, for Josie - she was painfully lonely, only having Lola her baby sister to keep her company.
After Rose fell pregnant for the third time, Arthur decided the family needed to move somewhere closer to the city with more rooms. It was there that Rose finally returned to her job as a midwife. After years of looking after children of her own, Rose was even better at her job that before. She understood mothers now and was nothing if not sensitive to their needs.
When Maddie came along, everything seemed fine. Josie was already at Ilvermorny and Lola was not far off so the pair had already shown their magical abilities. Years later however, and Maddie was still not showing any signs of being able to use magic. Eventually her parents found out that Maddie was a squib. Gutted would be an understatement for how she felt. Feeling for her daughter, Rose took Maddie under her wing and despite the girl having to go to a regular Muggle school and will eventually live a fairly normal Muggle life, her mother made sure she was never left out of what her sister's were doing.
During her early years at Ilvermorny, Lola tried her best to be good and fit in, but after realising she was sorted into the Thunderbird house for a reason, her whole attitude changed. Feeling free to pursue her dreams, Lola can quite often be found down by the large school lake, whispering to the mermaids that reside within (whether they're listening or not is up for debate) or running through the dense forest that surrounded Ilvermorny with her closest friends under the impression that they were simply going to see what they could find. The headmaster has called Lola a troublemaker on more than one occasion, but at the same time, it's clear that they hold a soft spot for students such as her who push the boundaries and try to explore every inch of this little world they're in.
While she certainly doesn't fit in with the 'popular' crowd at Ilvermorny - and she finds it ridiculous that the Wizarding school even has a hierarchy - Lola is a Thunderbird through and through so those who share the same house and values as her are bound to get along with the girl. Lola likes the thought that her father was also once in the same house as her, because she feels like it brings them closer together.
