The room was silenced again as the phone stooped ringing, but yet again the room was filled with the upbeat tone of the phone. Emmy’s left hand reached to her face as she used her hand to cover her face. She groaned from the stabbing migraine. She opened closed her eyes a few times as they adjusted to the brightness of the room. Then she sat up taking in the room, quickly realizing that this wasn’t her room.
“Kimmy? Dana?” she called for her friends but no one answered she glanced around a bit more. “Well at least it looks like we had…” she whispered to herself trailing off as she realized the large diamond ring on a certain special finger. “Oh shit.” She whispered quickly getting up as she tried to collect her things that seemed to be spread out across the large suite. Finally reaching her phone.
14 missed calls
3 voicemails
2 texts
“blocked, blocked, blocked.” She repeated out loud as she went down the list. She decided to check her voicemails next.
“Listen sweetheart you and that boyfriend of yours are dead when we find you,did you really think you were going to get away with stealing our drug money…” the voicemail cut off leaving Emmy slightly freaked out, but more confused.
She listened to the next one it was from the guy she had met down stairs last night. That’s about all she could remember was meeting that guy, then her friends taking off with his friends. He was giving her the location to where he was and she knew if she wanted to find out anything it would probably be smart to start with him, she thought as she jotted down the information.
"Hey can I get my one phone call!!?!.....and A janitor!?!?" Danny yelled trying to get the cops attention as he stepped around his puke and sat on the other bench from the big man. "You used it already, last night when you got in here, called some girl." The big person said as Danny pondered the thought. "Woman?....woman.....ohhh was it...no, no....maybe I mistaked Joe for a woman." Danny thought out loud as his head pounded like the thing over there was humping it. "Oh that bar chick, had the big boobs. Gotta be her, what was her name? Elaine? Eliee? Ernie?" "Emmy, ugh, men..." The thing said as it flipped it's hair, "Oh so you're a woman." "Come over here and find out, big boy." The creature said, "Hell...no...but Emmy, yea yea, sounds rightish. Do you remember if I told her where I was?" Danny asked as he rubbed his temple.
Noticing that sometime in the night he had changed from his brown leather jacket, American flag T, and jeans. To a suit, Black with a white button up dress shirt, missing 3 out of the 6 buttons. A undone, black bow-tie around his dress collar and for some reason black nikes but running nikes, like he was about to go hiking. The suit was tore up anyway so it wasn't like he looked good. "Yes you did, I'm sure you'll get bailed soon enough." The thing said as it laid down itself. "Ugghh...fucking vegas.."
“Mrs. Rodin…Mrs. Rodin!” a man from the valet counter called to her though she didn’t answer, he stepped in front of her stopping her. “Mrs. Rodin, would you like me to bring your car around?” he spoke to her as if she was some wealthy heiress.
“I’m sorry you have the wrong person.” She said
“I assure you I don’t, You and your husband came in last night and had my valets park your car, right before your husband was arrested.” He said giving her a worried look.
“Oh, right.” She glanced outside “Yeah, bring my care around.”
“Right away miss. Jonathan.” The man spoke as one of the Valets ran outside.
Within a few moments an orange Lamborghini Aventador was parked outside the doors of the hotel. A smirk lit Emmy’s face. “Damn, I really hope I didn’t buy this thing.” She whispered as the man handed her the keys. She used the GPS on her phone as she drove the unfamiliar roads of Las Vegas trying to find the jail that her so called husband was locked up in. She didn’t even know this guy, he could be a murder for all she knew. “You really did it this time Emerson.” She shook her head as the stop light she was stopped at turned red and the engine of the expansive sports car purred. She finally pulled into the parking lot of the jail, of course everyone looking at the pretty party girl in the shiny sports car.
She waited in line a few moments before finally reaching the woman typing into her computer. “How can I help you?” she asked not at all interested. “I’m umm, I’m here to bell out my…my husband?” she was trying hard to remember his name, knowing they would ask for it. “Name please?” she said never taking her eyes away from the computer. “Derrick Rodin?” she said unsure of herself. “Danny?” the women corrected “Yeah.” She breathed. “six hundred please.” “Six hundred! You got to be kidding me…” she rolled her eyes handing the women her credit card from her wallet, thankfully it had been in the hotel room. “Bring the new guy around, he made bail.” The women called to one of the police officers. Before glancing back to Emerson “Have a seat it will take a moment to process him.” She said plainly.
"One pack of stride double mint gum. Two different keys. One cell phone. Twenty-Four Condoms, One used." The clerk dropped the bag with a disgusted face, Danny more worried about the ring. "One pair of Black Ray-Ban Sunglasses, wire frame. Lastly a key to the presidintial suite at The Bellagio Hotel and Casino." The last bit perked his interest as he took the keycard and looked it over, wondering how he got it. He took the bag without the condoms and put the Ray-Bans on as he walked out past the clerk, the strong hit of sunlight beaming on his hungover eyes. No sunglasses were strong enough for his hangover. He almost walked out the door, more worried with getting his ring off until he noticed who he passed. He turned back from the door and looked at the girl, pointing a finger at her as he walked over to her.
"You...ummmm." He said as he snapped his fingers trying to remember her name. He pulled his sunglasses down a little to look her over, his eyes catching glance of her cleavage. He snapped and pointed to her chest. "Emmy! Yea, yea, you were the girl from the bar." Danny nodded along to whatever she was saying a little to hungover to listen well. "Yeah, yeah, hey, that cop said my wife was here to bail me out, you know anythWOAH LOOK AT THAT ROCK!" Danny said taking her hand and looking at the ring. "I buy this? With my money? This would cost a lot of money. Oh wait, we're married?!" Danny said remembering what he was trying to do before and put his finger in his mouth trying to pull the ring off with his teeth. "Fuck...I don't remember a thing after, well.." He smiled a little as he thought back. "I think the last thing I remember was the jello shot I sucked off your stomach." His smile turned to a more of a stern face. "Did you drug me? Babe if you wanted to sleep with Dan the Man all it takes is a please before and a thank you after." He smiled as he heard the shrill voice of the counter lady. "Rodin, you forgot your bag." The lady threw the plastic bag of the condoms at him as he caught it. He pointed to the used one. "You did say thank you right?" He said, not sure if that was her or not, or let alone if it was him. "Look look, I got this key to the Bellagio, we'll go see what's up there, freshen up, clear our heads, that alright with you?" He said as he flipped the card into his hand, handing it to her as he looked at her through his glasses.
“Yeah, I’m the wifey” she said pulling her hand back “and I just bailed your sorry ass out. How ‘bout a thank you?” she said watching as he tried to pull his ring off. “Dose look like you’re going to get that off champ.” She said frowning gently as he started to speak again “Fuck...I don't remember a thing after, well.." He smiled a little as he thought back. "I think the last thing I remember was the jello shot I sucked off your stomach." “Yeah I don’t know why the hell I let you talk me into that.” She said thinking out load as he continued on his rant "Did you drug me? Babe if you wanted to sleep with Dan the Man all it takes is a please before and a thank you after." She made a disgusted noise “Drug you, I’m not that desperate and please, please tell me I did not just hear you call yourself Dan the man.” She said looking at him as if he were an immature teenage boy. A women interrupted their conversation and when he pointed to the used condom saying he didn’t thank her she simply replied “Well, I should be the one thanking you, you my love should be the one thinking me.” She smirked playfully.
"Look look, I got this key to the Bellagio, we'll go see what's up there, freshen up, clear our heads, that alright with you?" She thought for a moment debating on whether or not she really wanted to go with him. Then she asked herself why she had even bailed him out. But, deep down there was something about him that she liked, plus that other voicemail on her phone was still nipping at her skin, the guy sounded pissed and if he found her, she definitely didn’t want to be alone, and if he found his friends she’d probably find hers. “Fine, but I’m driving.” She said as she pushed open the doors of the Police station and they made their way out to the Orange Lamborghini. “Thanks for the wedding gift Hun.” She said clicking the unlock button on the keys as they climbed into the shiny sports car and headed to the Bellagio.
After a few moments of silence Emmy spoke “So you know as soon as everything is resolved and we figure out where the hell all our friends are, were getting a divorcé, I’m not exactly the marring type.” She said pulling into the valet only area in front of the hotel. “Because, you’re not exactly my type.” She lied, tossing the keys to the valet. As soon as they entered the lobby of the ritzy hotel they were greeted by a man in a black suite who looked like he was far wealthier then the both of them put together. “It’s nice to see my favorite newlyweds have decided to join the living.” The older man teased. “Well why don’t you two love birds go freshen up and then come meet me back here.” He said in a casual tone “You guys are still up for our little party right?” “What party was that again.” The man laughed “You two, go freshen up.” He said walking away “No seriously.” She said but he was already out of ear shot she turned to Danny as the Elevator doors closed “WHAT THE HELL DID WE DO LAST NIGHT…” she shook her head “We are obviously really bad together. Is it bad that I kind of like all this?” She smirked, the question more rhetorical .
“So you know as soon as everything is resolved and we figure out where the hell all our friends are, were getting a divorcé, I’m not exactly the marring type.” "I guess you didn't see me trying to chew my finger off back there like it was in a bear trap." Danny said as he slid off his ray-bans putting them in his inside coat pocket. His eyes now a bit adjusted to the sun. He looked over at his new wife and got a good look at her. She was quite beautiful, and it seemed like she had a ok attitude just, they both weren't in the best situation right now. “Because, you’re not exactly my type.” "Well someone can be a little bitchy." He said to himself as he look back at the car, then to the valet. "Hey man drop those keys off at this room when you park it. I spent this much money on a car, I'm damn well gonna drive it." He told him as he catched back up to Emmy. Danny came just in time to catch the end of the older man's party offer. “WHAT THE HELL DID WE DO LAST NIGHT…” "Well whatever it was, seems we had a good time." Danny said trying to cheer up the mood a little.
When they entered the room, it was quite a shock to see it was perfectly in tact. Didn't look like their rampage made it up here at least. The room was huge with a big window over looking the strip. It had a huge silk sheet bed with a bathroom that was probably as big as the normal rooms themselves. The TV was huge, there was a fully stocked bar, a hot tub by the window, truly this place was amazing. Turning to his right there was 2 stack of cloths, one woman's and the other men's. "To my new favorite couple, gotta look good while you are destroying me at poker. ~Frankie" Danny read from a card by the two stacks. "Who the hell is Frankie? I don't know a Frankie. Whatever, theses are some pretty nice cloths actually. Why don't you take the shower first and I'll look around the place, see what I can find." Danny said as he moved to the bar, grabbing himself a much needed ginger ale.
As he looked around the room, there wasn't much. The only thing he ended up finding was a briefcase under the bed. "Holy shit!" Danny said as he gazed upon the treasure within. One Berreta Pistol with 4 extra magazines, a bottle of advil, and from what Danny counted out 4.8 Million dollars in chips. Danny put the pistol in the back of his waist and took 5 advil pills as he sipped at the bubbly drink. When he saw the door to the bathroom opened he was a little shocked to see his new wife cleaned up. "Wow, you clean up nice. At least I married one that was kind of pretty." He said standing and grabbing a suit out of the set, another black over coat but a blue button up and finally some decent looking shoes. He turned back to her and then to the briefcase. "Mine, mine, I bought that boulder on your hand and apparently a 80,000 dollar car, that's mine." he said as he didn't bother closing the bathroom door, striping to the nude and going into the huge shower. "Wow it's really nice here, I probably bought this to, I make surf boards, I don't own apple or anything." Danny said as he cleaned himself from top to bottom, that thing in the cell didn't make him feel clean. "I'm Danny by the way, not sure if you remembered it or not. So now that you've had a minute, do you remember anything from last night? I assume you were taking me to a orgy since I had 25 condoms on me, either that or you think a lot about yourself and don't understand male anatomy very well." Danny yelled over the water.
She glanced over seeing him strip down and she quickly turned away granting him his privacy, blushing a little. “Wanna use some discretion, maybe a Hey I’m getting naked. We’re not actually married you know.” She listening to him as he introduced himself. “Emerson, but Emmy is fine.” She replied. “No, I remember just about as much as you.” She sighed ”Oh yeah, I just love orgy’s, more like you were taking me to a rape party with your sleazy friends” she said smiling at her reflection satisfied with the end result. “I’m going to open a window, I need some air.” She said bored as she walked out of the bathroom, making her way over to the balcony. Opening the glass doors and stepping out on to the balcony, the weather was perfect, not to hot not too cold. She closed her eyes taking a deep breath enjoying the moment and for a split second forgetting about her reality. A thought ran through her head, you if this was real, it wouldn’t be so bad. she thought to herself, but she quickly shook the thought.
She left the doors of the balcony open letting the room air out. A sudden bad feeling washed over Emmy as she walked through the large room. The loud snapping of wood made her freeze, “Alright Bonnie and Clyde I want my shit back and I knew you’re in here theirs no running now!” the man from the voice males voice carried through the large suite. Emmy’s breathing quickened “Turn the place upside down!” he yelled to his men. Emmy glanced to the bathroom, quickly making the decision to disappear into the large room, Danny oblivious the water from the shower still running, making it hard for him to hear what was going on. She quickly jumped in the shower the warm water soaking her and her new dress. She swiftly turned the shower off, before turning to face Danny who looked slightly confused, her eyes falling below his waist, she quickly closed her eyes before opening them, this time looking straight into his eyes. She placed her index finger to her lips in an attempt to quite him. She continued to stare into his eyes begging him to stay quite.
“Boss, they’re not here they made a run for it, looks like they scaled the balcony.” One of the men said, this was followed by some loud crash, what Emmy assumed was the man knocking stuff over out of anger. “Who the hell do they think they are, Do they know who their fucking with!” the man yelled “I’m going to kill those bastards when I find them.” The man said his voice stained with intent.
All of a sudden his new wife had ran into the shower with him, Danny turned to her with a devilish grin. "Honeymoon time is it?" she put her finger to his lips as she turned off the water. Danny didn't move because he didn't want to risk hurting her but he really wanted to grab the gun. Soon enough the guys seemed to leave and Danny grabbed a towel from the rack to the side and then the gun as he cautiously moved out into the room. "They're gone." Danny said as he moved back into the bathroom, a bit more serious now that people were breaking into his room. He washed the shampoo out as he started to put on the new suit. "So you lied to me?" He said as he buttoned up his pants and turned to her. "I mean you knew something about them or you would have opened the door for them instead of letting them kick it in right?" Danny said finishing dressing as he went back out and pulled the suitcase out from under the bed. He counted the chips as he listened to Emmy. "All here, well whoever they are they obviously don't like us much. Well I'm sick of not knowing what the hell happened so I say we go down to the black guy, he seemed to know us from last night. Maybe he can fill us in." Danny said as he pocketed some chips and closed the briefcase with the rest in it. "Um sir, I have...your keys, what happened here?" The valet said pointing to the doorway. "Wife gets a little crazy when she's in the heat." Danny said as he flipped a 5,000 dollar chip to the man. "Give that to who ever needs it for the door will ya?" Danny looked over to Emmy with a cocky smile, "Shall we honey?"
They made their way down the hall way the boy still seemed to still be slightly in shock when she glanced back. “You know that boy is completely jealous of you right now.” She teased lightly as they stepped onto the elevator. The doors to the elevator opened back up and they stepped out onto the lobby floor once more. They searched for the guy finding him at one of the poker tables, he was obviously winning. “There you kid are.” He said and with a snap of his fingers two spots opened up on the table. “Pull up a chair.” The man offered.
When they got on the floor they found the older man by a table, playing some 5 card stud. Looked to be about a 200 minimum, not huge for vegas but a bit of money for a cali surfer. Danny set down a seat apart from the older man as he smiled and pulled the chips out of his pocket, buying in with 57,000 dollars. Made him tense up putting that much on the table but he sure had a lot more. Danny turned a little and gave the case to Emmy with a smile but a look in his eyes that said hold onto it like the world depended on it. He turned back and started having a good time, wanting to enjoy a little bit before he got all question focused. Ordering a Jack and Coke, trading chips back and forth as the man and him shared a few laughs. "There he is! Danny boy! Haha, I see you got my present, gotta look Vegas if you want to own Vegas." He heard from some man as he turned to see who it was. "Holy shit you're Frank Sinatra Jr. So you're Frankie?" "Well of course Kid, you kept calling me it all night, coming into Ceaser's high stakes table and throwing jokes and laughs around to those stoic money grabers! That's what this town is about kid, losing money and having a good time." Frank turned to Emmy and put his arms out as he held her shoulders. "And Emmy, my god woman you are the sight that makes a blind man see, you're a lucky man Danny." Frank leaned in giving Emmy a small peck on the cheek. "How are you kids doing, can I do anything for you?" "No, no Frank we're doing just fine." Danny said still star struck. "Well if you do need something here's my card, don't you hesitate, and hey, you come back to my show and we'll sing Ain't that a Kick in the Head again, you're a riot kid!" Frank said as he walked away shaking a few other people's hands.
"Holy shit that was Frank Sinatra Jr!" Danny said to Emmy and the old guy as he laughed a little. "So... I'm gonna be honest with man. I don't remember last night. Not a thing, not you either. So, could you fill me in a little? Maybe you could focus on last night and stop taking my money for a bit." Danny said with a laugh, trying to lighten the mood in case he took a bit of offense. Danny looked back at Emmy and gave her a slight smile, trying to show that everything was cool.
After a bit she finally heard Danny ask the man what happened last night. The man seemed to look a Danny a bit surprised, he stood from his seat collecting his chips, he chuckled a bit “You two really don’t remember? Well why don’t we take a walk and I’ll tell you what I know.” He said gesturing for the two to follow. They walked through the Casino floor. “Well I’m not quite sure how you night started off or how it ended. But what I can tell you is last night, the two of you came in here all lovey dovey, with brand new rings on your fingers going on about how you were just married, with millions of dollars asking for our best room, apparently for your Honeymoon.” He began “ And of course, you two had enough money to become VIPs which is where I come in, I make sure all VIPs are taken care of.” He said as they casually walked “We played a few rounds on poker, talked, and then one of my men escorted the two of you to our VIP pool, not before Danny boy here stopped for a few boxes of condoms though.” The man chuckled “You guys said you come find me later and that’s the last I saw of you two, that was at about midnight.” He said glancing to his watch “I hate to cut this short, but I have a meeting in twenty minutes, I have to be on my way.” The man said kissing Emmy’s cheek and shaking Danny’s hand.
After the man left Emmy turned to Danny with an I-Told-You-SO kind of look “Ha! So you were the one planning on taking advantage of me.” She teased. “I really hope that used one wasn’t used on me.” She let out a small breath of defeat. “Well what next?” she said shoving the briefcase back at him. “He wasn’t exactly helpful, plus we kind of have some psycho guy after us.” She reminded him. She looked down to Danny’s hand seeing him start tugging at the ring again while they were trying to figure out what was next. She rolled her eyes, huffing a bit. “Jesus, give it here.” She said grabbing his hand “I’ll shove you a trick.” She said examining the ring “Just don’t get any ideas, I’m doing this solely because your bugging the shit out of me.” “Now like I said don’t freak out and don’t act like a perve about this.” She said as she placed his ring finger in her mouth wrapping her teeth around the ring and sucking on his finger for a few seconds slowly easy the ring off with her teeth, avoiding his eyes already knowing he would have a smartass, perverted remark as soon as she got it off. After a moment she pulled his finger from her mouth ringless and spit the his ring into the palm of her hand showing it to him. “Their you big baby, your free.”
Danny walked with her out to the car as he opened his door and slid in. He put the key in and pressed the ignition button. The engine roaring to life. "Ohhh ho ho ohhyea, damn glad that if I spent that much money it was on this." Danny said with a dirty smile on as he looked over at Emmy. "Now, let me show you how to really drive." Danny punched the gas as it ripped out the spot. He burned those tires like he was trying to cook something, letting off the brake and whipping the car out into the street as he let off down the road.
"I used to drive when I was 18, street racing's big up where the rich kids lived. They could buy the car but couldn't buy the skill. What about you? What was your life like? Had to learn the ring trick somewhere." He said teasing her as he glanced over at her. He shared some more things, what he did for a living, his surfing, why he came to Vegas. It was weird, he couldn't remember the last time he actually chatted to a girl he picked up.
As they drove along, they were interupted by a car that drove up beside them and tapped on his window. When Danny looked over the man had a gun pointing at him. "Where's the drugs?!" The man yelled as he pointed the gun at him. "What?! What are you talking about?!" "The drugs now, or we splater your head all over your girl over there!" The man said as he pulled back the hammer. "On 3 I want you to reach in the front of my waistband, pull the gun out, press the small button next to the trigger in and then you will have to shoot the tire on your right. Hold the grip tight, keep your breath steady. Ready123!" Danny slammed on the breaks, thankfully the car was ment to stop on a dime. He moved to the left side of the car where the man without the gun was and held the car at the back tire of there's for 2 seconds. He heard a POP and assuming it was her who shot. He pulled off quick as the other cars scrambled at the sound of a shot. "You OK? Did you make the shot?" Danny asked as he gunned the car down turns making sure any of his buddies couldn't follow them. He flipped into a parking garage and went up to the second floor, parking it. "Are you ok?"
When the man pulled up beside them and started threating them she stayed as calm as humanly possible, but on the inside she was freaking out. She obeyed his orders grabbing the gun from his waist, he’d be surprised to find out that she knew how to shoot a gun and she had almost perfect aim, something her brother had taught her to do, to protect herself. There was a lot more to Emerson then most knew. "You OK? Did you make the shot?" Relax, their going to have to change that tire, I hit it right on the money.” She said proud of herself, though her voice was a bit shaky mostly a mix of adrenaline and fear. She relaxed a bit by the time he pulled into the parking garage.
Silence filled the garage as he turned off the ignition "Are you ok?" he asked again, she placed the gun on the dash board “Yeah…I think So.” She said taking a breath, it was quite for a moment, though not for long when she started to think “Drugs, what the fuck!!!” she said letting it sink in. “We fucking stole drugs?!” she said starting to freak out a bit. “Pop the trunk!!” she ordered stepping out of the car lifting the trunk. “Holy shit. Danny…I found their drugs.” She said her eyes scanning over the mounds of cocaine and more money. She took a step back “We are really, really bad for each other. What the hell are we going to do?” she said, without thinking resting her head on his shoulder as they looked at the stole drugs, she was unknowingly letting her vulnerability show as she rested her head on him, she hated being showing her softer side. “We got ourselves in deep shit.” Her voice was soft an laced with worry.
They walked down to ground level and called a cab. Once they were on their way, Danny looked over at Emmy. She wasn't half bad, but his mind kept saying not to get tied down. He felt the ring in his pocket and sighed. "So...was there someone back on the east coast? I mean were you single or? I mean just wondering since we're married, need to know if my wife has any lovers." He said as a joke but he realized he kept calling her his wife, from joke or not he knew that he needed to stop. "I never really had a girlfriend persay, I was more of the, sleep and get out guy." Danny stretched and put his arm around the back of her seat, honestly having to stretched he noticed he just pulled a cheesy middle school move. He looked out his window avoiding eye contact as he considered options with her. He really liked her but relationships weren't him. He just decided to think about it at another time.
When they arrived at the hotel they headed to the upper level where the room was that was on the card. *knock knock knock* "Ummm...hello?" Danny said from outside the door. He realized this could be one of those gangsters but he figured if it was he had a gun, but he had forgotten that Emmy had the gun. "Hello? Anyone in there?" "Danny?! Danny is that you?! Danny get in here!" "John?" Danny said as he opened the door to find one of his best friends and co worker tied to a chair in only a pair of blue panties. "John what the hell man." "Danny, you gotta help me, she's here, she tied me up and kept me here all night trying to find out where you where." "Whose here?" Danny asked puzzled as his friend tried to get out of the rope. "Carol!!" John said and without thought, like it was reaction Danny turned around to the railing and jumped it. He hit hard on the ground and hurt his leg a little. "Ahhhh!! Dammit, Taxi!" Danny yelled from the parking lot as he got up and started limping to the street. "Danny get back here and help me you asshole!" John yelled but Danny was set. "Emmy lets go!! Taxi!!!!" Danny yelled as he waved his arms like a mad man at the road. "DANIEL RODIN!!" Danny heard the voice and actually froze as he looked back to see the small woman come out of the room with her hands on her hips. "FUCKING TAXI!!!" Danny yelled from the street as he tried jumping up and down. "Danny get up here or I'll cut John!" Danny put his head down cause he knew that she really would cut him. Danny limped his way up the stairs as he stood behind Emmy when he got up there. "Introduce me ass hat!" The little girl screamed as Danny noticed the gun was in his waistband after all. "Emmy this is Carol, Carol this is Emmy," Danny lifted his head with a winners grin as he finished his sentence. "my wife!" "Wife?! You wouldn't get married, but she is the right type of skank for you." Carol said as she eyed down Emmy as Danny shook his head with a smile. "Yup, she's my wife, yea, yea, see I can do this." Danny said as he turned Emmy around and pulled her into a strong kiss as his lips moved over hers, his eyes sternly on Carol. He broke the kiss and heard a little gasp of air from Emmy. "Ha see, took the breath away from her and didn't even matter, I can slap her ass," and he did, "grab her boobs," and he did, " anything, she's my wife, see look at that rock on her finger, see, see! Yea take it in you heartless bitch." Danny said as he almost melded Emmy's hand with Carol's face, making sure she saw it. "Nope, don't believe it." Carol said as she pushed the hand away from her. "AHHH Dammit woman what do I have to do to get rid of you?!" Danny pulled the gun out and held it to her face. "You aren't going to shoot me Danny." "I tried before!!" "But you didn't." "That's because you took the bullets out!!!!!" Danny yelled as he kept the gun drawn on her as he moved into the room to untie John. "This is my stalker, Carol, by the way." Danny said as he untied John and moved back out the room, still behind Emmy. "I'm his girlfriend." "In pyshco world maybe!!" Danny yelled back. "We slept together." "I never would have if I known you were this damn CRAZY!!" She rolled her eyes as John snuck out and hid behind Danny who still hid behind Emmy. "We're leaving, you follow us I'll shoot, I got bullets this time!!" "yea yea.." she said as she watched Danny and John run down the stairs leaving Emmy as it was everybody for themselves. John's car was around back and they pulled it around front to pick up Emmy. Once she was in the car John started to go but his hunk of junk died on him. All of a sudden the back window smashed and Carol was there as she reached for Danny. "Only I can have you Danny Rodin!!!" John and Danny screamed as the car roared to life and Danny pushed the small girl off the trunk as they took off. "What?" Danny asked as he could tell Emmy might be a, little angry with some of the things that happened.
“Oh now I’m your wife how convenient.” Emmy said out loud more to herself as he told the girl that she was his wife. "Wife?! You wouldn't get married, but she is the right type of skank for you." “Skank, bitch please.” Emmy said starting to become defensive. Emmy was taken back we Danny forcefully kissed her, it had taken her breath away but not because he had kissed her, but because he practically suffocated her when he did. Then Danny continued to try and prove they were married by groping her. Emmy tried pushing him a which probably sold the fact they weren’t really married. “Damn it Danny knock it off” Emmy said pushing him away a bit harder. Emmy knew that it was her fault that this girl didn’t believe they were married, but she didn’t care, she was half tempted to turn around and walk out at this point. Then her so called husband pulled a gun out threatening to kill Carol. “Would everyone just calm the fuck down! Shit!” Emmy yelled. “Stalker, great.” Danny made his way over to John untying him before they both hid behind her. “Girlfriend.” She repeated “Awesome. That explains a lot.” She said feeling a hinge of jealousy even though her and Danny weren’t really together. “Okay guess were just airing our dirty laundry everywhere.” She said as Danny yelled that they had sleep together, her jealousy growing a bit more. Emmy let out an irritated breath as the guys took off “Their my ride, it was nice meeting you.” She said sarcastically as she took off after them.
Finally once they were on their way Danny glanced to Emmy, there was no doubting that she was more than a little pissed off. “What?” “What! That’s all you have to say after ALL THAT!” she yelled “Fuck, your impossible you know that!” she was more irritated at that fact that she thought he was simply running from his pissed off girlfriend, being a girl she was convinced that him and Carol were actually dating and that he just didn’t want to get in trouble. “You’re a pig you know that! You go to Vegas, get drunk and marry some stranger, when your with someone I don’t blame her I’d be pissed to!” she yelled “Then you go and run from her!” She took a breath “You know what, I’m done I’m going home! Pull over…NOW!” She was scary when she was mad, she was the kind of girl you didn’t want to piss off. Of course she was being irrational about the situation. When he pulled the rode she got out of the car “Here’s your damn rock, Sweetheart, You fucked me now your free, that’s all guys like you know how to do. You can get back to your life now! ” she said throwing it at him barley missing his face, before slamming the door as she started to walk along the strip. It wasn’t all his fault, but she had been trying to keep her cool the entire time, but that had finally made her crack, not to mention the fact that she had actually started liking him and now she was convinced he was no better than her ex.
She interlocked her fingers with his, pulling him to follow her. They walked down the strip side by side and to strangers they looked like a cute young couple. “Just for the record, I don’t think you need me.” She paused for a moment, stopping as if that was all she was going to say, building up his confidents until she spoke again “I think you just like having me around.” She smirked, being completely serious. “And just for the recorded, I kind of like having you around.” She said leaning up and kissing his cheek as they stopped in front of the entrance of the Bellagio. “I was pretty pissed off, but seeing as you came after me…” she thought for a moment suddenly playing up her flirty side as she stepped in front of him, wrapping her arms around his neck as if they were a real couple “Why did you come after me?” she fluttered her lashed and as she looked at him, her voice having an innocence to it. She was the type of girl who knew exactly how to work a guy to get what she wanted and right she wanted to break the player.
But, before she got her satisfaction their moment was interrupted. “Babe, what the hell!” she dropped her hands from around Danny’s neck a part of her wishing the moment would have lasted longer, she turned to see her ex in his sleeveless shirt and gym shorts, his typical douche bag attire. “Oh Hey Brandon.” Her attitude changing “What the hell are you doing here?” she said giving him a death glare. “Me, I think I should be asking you what you’re doing with this punk ass loser.” He said sizing Danny up. “I’ve been looking for you all night.” He said acting as if he was really heartbroken. “This punk ass loser is my husband and last time I checked your dick was inside some other chick and Let me guess you came to beg for my forgiveness? Apology not accepted and as far as punk ass losers I only see one.” A wicked smile painted her pale pink lips. “Let’s go Danny.” She said walking past her ex into towards the hotel doors. “Hey! You can’t just walk away from me!” Brandon yelled after her. She turned back to face him “I can…and I am. By the way his dick so…much bigger!” she laughed as they made their way inside the hotel. “Hey bro, I’m going to kick your fucking ass that’s my girl.” Emmy’s Ex yelled and Emmy knew that wouldn’t be the last she’d see of him, but for now his ego was ruined and he take a bit to recover.
"So...." Danny asked as he massaged his leg a little. "We've got like 2 hours until sun down....what do you want to do?" Danny asked with a smirk as he rubbed his leg, not looking up. He laid back on the bed, his body sideways away from the door. He looked up at Emmy with a crooked smile. "So do you remember anything yet, anything from last night, anything that might have happened.....here?" Danny asked as he was being his normal cocky self. "You got the nicest boobs I've seen.....just returning the favor from the comment downstairs...but then again I'm not sure if I saw them or not, and I mean, we both know you saw mine." Danny said as his leg shot a sharp pain down it. "Ah god damn!" Danny said as he sat up and rubbed it again, ruining the moment he was obtaining as he rubbed it in pain. "If you want go ahead and take another shower, I mean you got a freaking stack of dresses from frank sinatra Jr, girls love cloths and shit." He said as he heard his phone ring. Pulling it out and answering the call. "Hello?" "Hey Danny, it's Bob." Bob was the other guy that came along on the weekend that got ruined almost instantly. Danny looked over at Emmy, well maybe not ruined. "Where you at man, I found John tied to a chair in panties being held by Carol." "Rough dude, hey listen, I went back to L.A. There were these people that I might have stolen a car from and it had a bunch of cocain in the back that I have lost." Danny stayed calm not to alert Emmy. "You stole that car? You son of a bitch you almost got me killed." Danny whispered into the phone. "Oh good you have it, look the guy I stole it from, he wants it back. So how about I set up a public meeting and you'll give him the shit, get out scott clean." "I hate you but sure, call me back with the details." Danny whispered again and hung up the phone. Danny shut his eyes trying to relax from all the chaos that had been going on.
“Hello?” she answered cautiously the number was blocked. “Hey bitch where the hell are you?” she knew that voice from anywhere it was one of her best friends. “Where am I? Where are you?” she said slightly irritated “Well were getting ready to go clubbing with some of your cute boyfriend’s friends.” Stacy was a bigger skank then Emmy and that was saying something. “Yeah about that thanks for being such great friends and letting me run off with some stranger, who could have been a murder.” “Oh relax Em your no dead. Besides you two were the ones who left all of us and took off with those high rollers, you guys were too good for us.” Stacy shot back. “What high rollers?” Emmy questioned “You know the ones who gave us the drugs, Bob took their car for a spin, listen I gotta go, call me later tonight kay.” She said and before Emmy could reply she hung up “Stac…wait.” She let out an irritated sigh “Well apparently before we pissed them off we were hanging out with those guys that tried to kill us earlier.” She said letting out a breath.
Danny had thought long and hard while in the shower. Emmy seemed like the kind of girl that he would actually like to get to know. It was so weird for him, for the first time in his life he actually cared about a woman, he cared what she thought of him, he cared about her thoughts, he cared about her well being. The thought hit him that this trade tonight could go wrong, if the gangsters got their drugs, what would happen then? They'd wait until they went outside and then shot them both. Danny shook his head and rinsed the soap off his body. As he got out and dressed he stared at himself in the mirror. "....Maybe it's best that we leave this in Vegas, what happens here.........stays here......*sigh*" Danny finished dressing and went out to the room, ready to face the music.
Danny felt the tug on his neck and assumed it was finished. "Thanks." Danny said as he put his head straight and messed with it a little. "Lets go, Frank's show should be starting soon." Danny said as he opened the door, feeling a lot better now that he had got that off his chance. As she passed him Danny gave her a pat on the ass again, "Hey, gotta get it in while you're still my wife." Danny said as they got in the elevator.
After grabbing a cab and getting to the big band club, they walked in with Frank finishing up his set. Danny and Emmy where V.I.P's do they were brought back to the lounge where Frank meet them. "Hey! My favorite couple, how's it going?" Frank said as he shook Danny's hand and kissed Emmy's cheek. "As beautiful as always Emmy, please, please come with my wife, she'll take you to the bar get you anything you want." Frank said as his wife came up to Emmy and almost dragged her to the bar. Frank sat down next to Danny who was watching Emmy as she walked away. "What's wrong kid, you seemed distressed." Frank said as he looked over at Danny. "Well...when we leave Vegas, me and her are probably going to get sepperated." Danny said as he looked over at Frank. "Ahh, one of those marriages, not rare kid believe me. Let me tell you something, I see this all the time, get to drunk, get together, leave alone. You shouldn't let this one go kid, she's a keeper, you don't come across this kind of a woman but once in a lifetime." "I've only known her for a day though." "Kid, you let her go, and you will never, have as good a day as that again." Danny nodded and looked over at Emmy at the bar, his mind swirling on what to do.
Frankie was finishing his show by the time they got their and before she knew it she was being drug off by his glamour’s wife, who was the living embodiment of a Vegas wife. She glanced back over to where Frankie and Danny were sitting, she gave him a small smile noticing he was looking at her before she turned away looking to Frankie’s wife as she spoke. “I’ll have an Apple Martini and whatever this lonely lady wants. “Just a shot or two of Skyy please.” She said frowning a bit, the bartender looked at her a bit confused but nodded as he started to make the drinks. “Sweetheart, you okay?” she asked as she leaned against the counter “How’d you know?” she paused “Frankie was the one?” she sighed in defeat not exactly the type of girl who believed that she would ever truly fall for someone. The women smiled “You just know, it’s the way that you feel when your with them. Trust me babydoll, you’ll know.” She said as the bartender set their drinks in front of them. “Yeah…” she sighed softly as she downed one of the shots it burned down her throat and she barley flinched.
There was a part of her that wanted to believe that their chemistry was real, but then there was a part of her that said he was the same as all the others, he was only playing with her. “if you want my opinion, he’s Mr. Right, the way he looks at you is the way Frankie still looks at me and I hate to break it to you darling, but you light up when your around him.” Somehow she knew that Frankie’s wife was right, she had never truly felt this way about someone. “Come on sweetie, you’ve got too much on your mind, I may be old but I know how to have a good time.” She laughed “Frankie, Let’s take these kids to the club their all dressed up, let’s show them Vegas our way.” She called out to her husband. Grabbing Emmy’s hand and once again dragging her, Frankie and Danny followed close behind until they got to the Bellagio’s club, strobe lights and loud music filled the large club, girls dancing in skimpy outfits, in cages above the dance floor. The smell of cheap perfume and cigarettes filled the air. “Guess it wouldn’t hurt to have a little fun.” Emmy mumbled but her voice couldn’t be heard over the load music.
When at the club it reminded him of his last memories before their crazy night, a raging club, dark and bright at the same time. Danny bought the women drinks as he turned to Emmy, "How bout this?! You remember this?!" Danny yelled over the music as he smiled at her. A idea came to his mind, them not remembering a damn thing from the night before he thought what better place to start right. Danny held up a finger as he walked away, then walked back as if he was meeting her for the first time. "Was your Dad a baker? Because you've got a nice set of buns." Danny said with a smile holding back a laugh. "Classy right? Danny Rodin," He said holding out his hand. "and what might god call this angel?" He asked still with his smile, actually, pretty happy for the first time in vegas.
