Personality:
Haru is of the quiet sort (meaning he's naturally perfect for his favored library setting), preferring the comfort of his own thoughts to the company and words of other people. He personally believes that other people most often have little to nothing to say to him that is worth his attention, unless, naturally, they are in need of his help. This is one of the main reasons he keeps to himself so much. He will more often than not have his nose buried in a book of some sort, because they are, according to him, worth his time and focus. The book he will, nine times out of ten, have somewhere on him at any given moment would be his Bible, which leads into his next trait. Haru is a very religious person, a devout Christian, thus making it his utmost joy to read the Scripture. Haru is a thoughtful person, and rather serious, meaning that, while he's a very intelligent person, some things that people say can go over his head sometimes, especially crude jokes. As for his temper, it is extremely difficult to rouse Haru to the point of violence, but it does happen. And when it happens, it is explosive, to say the least. Effective, too. But that doesn't mean he has to like it, though. In fact, he loathes losing control of his temper. He believes that violence is the sport of heathens, not something to be engaged in unless it is for the sole purpose of protection, either of his life, the lives of others, or, say, something of a larger scale. This is how he justifies to himself the demise of demons. Oh yes, the demons. The one thing outside of himself that he has a burning hatred of. Now, of course, he knows that it is not proper to hate anything, but he just can't help himself when it comes to agents of the unholy. Coming into contact with one of them is more often than not what triggers his hidden fury. But, other than this, one would certainly find that Haru is a rather virtuous character, and, even though people aren't his strong suit, he will readily help a soul in need, if it please the Divine, and he will take charge of a situation and become a leader if need be.

Bio:
Haru was born into a heritage of exorcists: His grandparents on both sides of his family tree, maternal and paternal, had been exorcists in their time, good ones at that. Not only that, his parents, too, had carried on their predecessors' work; both were established Dragoons amongst the Knights of the True Cross. As such, one can imagine that Haru had quite the shoes to fill. However, his parents felt it would have been cruel to thrust a young child into the world of demons. Because of this, they guarded their firstborn son heavily from the threats and presence of demons, but instructed him heavily in the ways of Christianity. At the age of ten, his parents informed him of the reality and nature of the demons, but still kept him protected from their assaults while they prepared him for the day he would begin to see them. That day came on his thirteenth birthday. He received his temptaint in the dead of the night, as he slept. A hobgoblin managed to slash him across the chest before he awoke and his parents came to his rescue, defeating the creature with ease. From that day onward, Haru began to see the demons. Rather than fear shoot through him on every encounter, it was a mix of anticipation, and anger. He studied them, observed their strengths and weaknesses, even keeping a few journal entries on them every once in a while. However, he had been forbidden to approach them by his parents. Of course, if he had disobeyed his parents, his approach towards demons would not have been friendly, not in the least. For a couple of years, he dutifully studied under the guidance of his parents and his religion, until his parents decided that it was time for him to join True Cross. Haru swiftly graduated to Esquire, and, having tasted the fury of battle against demons, he is secretly hungry for much, much more.

Thoughts towards Other Characters:
Miki Taniya:
I am quite fond of my youngest cousin. She is surely virtuous in a number of ways, however, at times, she can be... eccentric. As for her violent streak, she swears it is all in the name of self-defense and enrichment. I believe, though, she is a good friend, all things considered. I have high hopes for her.
Makoto Taniya:
I do not like her. I cannot quite put my finger on it, but there is something... off-kilter about her. I will remain diligent, and ensure that I do all in my power to keep her from stepping out of line.
