To his mother's dismay, Declan has always been an outgoing person - especially when he was younger. At his youngest he was hard to contain, always sneaking off to play with the "servant children," as his parents' called them, and getting into other things inappropriate for a young Prince to. Even now, Dee is still a daring man, although the spark in his eyes has all but been snuffed. He stands firmly in his beliefs and takes up for those whom cannot defend themselves. He is the first to charge into something dangerous with those whom fight to defend him and his family, even without second thought, deeming him quite impulsive. Always meaning the best by things, however - he has a brave heart.


Dee's communication is excellent. He is able to charm those around him with kind words and sincere eyes. Due to numerous of daily studies from childhood on, he is well read and intelligent in most aspects. His vast knowledge in things tend to take some whom only see him as a "handsome face" entitled to the crown by surprise. Declan makes it a point not to get too caught up in the political part of nobility that he can't sit with the denizens of Courtmoor and connect with them - this, his parents have a problem with. He has a magnetic personality and a soft spot for those that work for his family. They are his friend, and along with those of Courtmoor, are his equals.

There are many parts of Declan that would make him a just Ruler of the lands, but there are also bits of him that fall short. One is his ability to trust. The Prince tends to take things at face value. What people say is truth unless they prove otherwise at some point or another. Some would call describe this as being naive. He wants to see the best in others, and he wants to believe that people are mainly good. He isn't naive to the point that someone could say the sky is purple and he'd believe them. He only hopes that where he is truthful so will others be. "Lead by example, not by orders."

When he puts his mind to something it is not let go until he's accomplished whatever it may be. Dee is a headstrong man whom is true to himself. He's firm when it comes to goals and things he sets out to do - keeping his eyes on the prize. Declan is determined to bring honor to his family and be a well-respected, loved and just King where his father has fallen short. He strives to bring Courtmoor up and make it a better place to reside in. He intends on making his people proud.

Like most born into nobility, Declan's life has been that of tedious events and studies. When he was younger he was able to get away with quite a bit more - sneaking off until dusk when his mother would be waiting in the doorway for him, hands on her hips and glowering. Close to age eight is when Arlo cracked down on his son and began grooming him for leadership that was looming in his future, inescapable. He was forced to spend most of his time learning the manners and customs of someone born into royalty. There were brief moments he was able to simply be a kid - other times where he took care of his youngest sister and gave her the care and attention she craved from their parents. As he got older his studies then became that of different martial arts, swordplay and other outside activities like horseback riding and hunting; his love for the outdoors grew immensely. Every chance he got to assist those who worked for his family, he did.. surprising the servants whom rumored him to be like the King.

Now as an adult, Declan has the kingdom resting on his shoulders. The King and Queen worry that he will not be able to rule over Courtmoor properly and have urged him to find a wife and wed multiple times to his detest. With the upcoming festivities and more eyes on him than he'd like, Declan can only hope everything goes smoothly and ends quickly.
