Introduction
The intention is with this, this roleplay could potentially go on and more mysteries could be revealed and more intrigue discovered.

You are a group of people who awake to find yourself in some misty empty fairground, the music of the various attractions rings through the silence and each ride seems strangely to operate, what is even more weird is that no matter how deep you go in there seems to be no exit. Those of you around have no clear understanding how you came to be here - The main thing you discern is there is no clear way to get out.
All you know is none of you have met and that this fairground seems to go on miles and in a terrifying way seems never-ending, what you find yourself asking is going on.
Everyone has secrets, everyone has stories and by the end facades will shatter and visages revealed, even in the rag-time symphonies hearts and minds will be broken.
Or worse... they will soon be the funeral choral for you.
Location: Nara Dream Land - Japan (Apparently, whether or not it really is, who knows, because it seems neverending, so maybe it's a composite of many places.)
Goal: Escape in short, since the more you wander you begin to wonder if this place is even on earth, if staying here is safe if the ragtime music is delightful or sinister and cruel. The biggest worry you all share, is you see shadows flits about, out of the corner of your periphery, although never in full.
Will you band together or take on the dangers on your own.
Every action has a consequence.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 6 authors
Music erupt from the darkness and finally her eyes shot open.
Pawing at the cracks of dazzling brightness, Grace groaned her muscles in pain as she sat up; or tried too, as she found herself falling back down and grimacing. Struggling to peer around, at first she saw nothing, then shapes gradually materialized into view, revealing what looked like sides of ride, and many more shapeless forms.
Trying to get back up, this time she managed before realizing that she was in what appeared to be a Tea Cup ride. More off-putting was the soft jingle of the ride ringing out in joyous refrain. It was near impossible to see, because the mist obscured so much.
Instinctively she checked her sides and felt no scar. That was somewhat of a relief, at least for now, although she was pretty sure she was not out the woods as of yet. That in itself was concerning; hurriedly Grace searched her jeans finding her mobile, apprehensively she checked the screen and frowned in confusion, the phone seemed to be working fine, but when she tried to call anyone, the music of other fairground attractions was the answer.
It was as if to mock her, mock her attempts to find solace.
So it was the young Irish Public Relations Agent stood up and surveyed the entire area, or what she could see, so much was obscured and hard to define any shapes. Yelling would not help things, no it would not. Instead maybe she best try find the exit and ignore the coldness shaking her very bones. Everything seemed unreal in this place, every direction, north, south, east and west all suggested sinister intentions.
The woman tried desperately to remember anything, she had been on her way back on a plane, but there appeared to be no sign of a crash, and her body uninjured. So reason would suggest they had not crashed.
The ringing of the ragtime continued in cruel melodies.
Trembling she drew up her phone again and dialled 911 this time the answer was different, this time it was different, “Heartless bitch, whore to job.” she threw down the phone aggressively and watched it smash completely.
In horror she realized now what she had done, and rushed to pick it up, but she had thrown it with such force, the thing was completely broken.
Finally the Grace, strength died and the tears started, the music strangely seeming louder, almost as if to drown her out. Or she was too upset to think straight.
Carmindy finally managed to sit up, her eyes focusing indeed she wasn't in her bed but a boat shaped like two swans kissing one another. She was so dazed and confused she didn't really know what to think of this, the boat was sitting in a narrow shallow stream of water.
"The tunnel of love?" she mumbled aloud quietly even at this quiet tone her voice reverberated and echoed around the room and intermingled with the sounds of the old music playing. Making the scary situation even more creepy.
The last thing she remembered was laying down in her bed at home crying and now she was in an amusement park ride. She was even more confused now then when she first woke up. Thinking maybe she was just in a very vivid dream she pinched the skin on the top of her forearm.
A sharp pain shot up from the spot, "Ouch!" she said, "Well... I guess I am awake" she looked around again.
It was frustrating not remembering what had happened or how she ended up here, but she supposed there was no reason to stay here, the cold still clinging to her bones. She clutched the medicine bag around her neck, it had been her mother's before she passed away and her grandmother had a blessing put on it by the village shaman. Something didn't feel right, it was a feeling that Carmindy had felt many times before she would see or hear something she didn't want to.
She stepped out of the small boat onto the wooden dock in front of her, her legs almost buckling on her. She caught herself just before falling flat faced onto the dock. Carmindy sat there kneeling for a moment trying to regain movement in her legs, she then stood and began to make her way out of the dark dank tunnel.
When she stepped out of the ride she was even more lost the what she had been inside the tunnel. Looking around she was positive she was in some sort of amusement park or carnival. But there were no places like this around the reservation and the carnival only came at certain times of the year. The cold mist that seemed to hover all over the park clung to her body and clothes only making her feel colder and more uneasy. Wrapping her arms around her Carmindy decided that it was no time like the present to either find someone else or find a way out.
She sat up and slowly opened her eyes. She had no headache and her eyes didn’t hurt. She was in a carriage on a carousel. How much did she drink? That didn’t bother her, what bothered her was the fact of how she got there. Who would drop her off here? She frantically checked her legs. Her pants were still on, so she wasn’t fondled with. She checked her pockets; her phone and a few dollars were in her pockets. “Well, glad I didn’t get robbed…again.” Amabel dialed her roommate’s number. It rang three times before anyone answered.
“What do you want?” Her roommate, Jodi, snapped. Amabel held out the phone and looked at it like it was coming alive. What was her problem? She knew she hadn’t been mean to her. She could never be mean to Jodi, no matter how depressed or mad she was.
“I need a ride…are you okay?” She bit her lower lip, something she does when nervous…well one of the many things she did when nervous.
“Am I okay? Really…are you seriously asking that question? I have to pick up your dead beat ass every time you go out drinking. I have to save you EVERY TIME! You know I would really like to just have a normal life. You know have a real best friend. You bring me down; you are like a sick dog!” And with that she hung up. Amabel dropped her phone, letting it fall to her lap. She didn’t know whether to be piss and scream or to just cry. Instead of doing either of those she slipped out of the carriage and looked around, wiping the tears that slipped.
“I don’t need her, I don’t need anyone!” She whispered to herself. She looked around and had no clue where she was. As she walked away from the carousel it started up. Amabel jumped and turned around, “W-What the hell?”
“H-Hello? A-Anyone there? Can you t-tell me where I am?” She asked and looked around. No one seemed to be around. Amabel shivered and made her way to find someone who worked here.
She vaguely remembered the party from the night before, but the faces were a blur. "Wha...where am i?" She'd ask standing up, almost stumbling over her own self. Her head hurt, her whole body hurt. Her eyes watered, her hair was a mess, makeup was smeared. Reaching in her back pocket, she'd find her phone, It was almost dead.
"Maybe one call." She'd mutter to herself as she unlocked her phone. Looking through her contacts she found a familliar friend of hers that would always be there for her. Pressing Call, she'd put the phone up to her ear listening to his ringback tone.
Hey, you've reached Nick! Sorry, I'm not available now, but please... leave your name number and fuck off! Shaking her head she'd calmly speak on her end. "Nick it's me... Lexi.. I'm lost... and alone... and... scared." Her phone died before she could finish what she was saying. "Crap..." Walking out of the mirror room, she'd whimper and want to curl up in a ball, the music got louder. She wondered if getting closer to it would help her find her way out.
"Feel like I'm in the carnival of carnage." She'd say to herself, since noone was around. Remembering the last gathering she had gone to, she'd shake her head. The parties, the friends, the family... the connection's she'd made...seemed to be gone... this place seemed to be deserted, abandoned... Lexi felt truley alone.
"Can anyone hear me?" She'd call out, the wind carrying her voice. Closing her eyes she'd give a silent prayer that someone heard her cries.
"Koko ni jigoku de nani ga okotte iru?" (What in the hell is going on here?) He muttered to himself, noticing he was not speaking in English, for some odd reason, and clearing his throat, yelling out to the others. "Harō! Desu soko ni daredemo! Harō!" (Hello, is anybody out there, hello!). He knew he could speak in English..he had before..but for some reason, he lost his ability to actually speak in English. He must've lost his memory on that, as well as his past, family, friends, likes, and everything else. He only barely could remember his name.
He noticed the wheel luckily was only 8 ft from the ground, seeing that he could easily jump down, he'd sigh, and wait for anybody else, to see if they heard him. The glass in the wheel was broken in some places it seemed, so it at least wasn't completely closed off, however, when he tried opening the door, it was jammed. "Kuso!" (Damn!) Saying this, he put a hand on his head, and shook it ever so slightly.
Thinking to himself, he'd say: Come on..think...If a door is jammed, you either kick it, or find another escape..and the glass on the window could risk me a cut on my body, in fact, it may even kill me..I don't want to risk it.
He'd sit back, pulling his feet back, and with all his might, kicked the door, the hinges breaking slightly as it flung open, his legs hanging out the open latch now, the door coming full circle! "Masaka! Īe īe īe!" (No! No no no!) The door lodged itself into his leg briefly, a surge of pain filling him as his legs were injured, yet surprisingly not broken by the force of the door. He got lucky here...he'd push the door off of his legs with his free hand, growling at the pain in his legs now, and seeing that they were bruised, bleeding even...damn! He'd look down at the drop to the ground, and sitting from where he was, waiting for his legs to recover some before he decided on jumping down, and at the same he was going to wait for someone to come by. After all, he nearly broke his legs, can't speak English, and is 8 ft off the ground. He was at least going to need someone to either catch him when he jumped, patch up his leg, or at the least, re-teach him English again..which might be difficult. He wasn't even sure if he could see when a person was near.
Brathen's heart stopped as the steal monster released the seats around him. He closed his eyes and screamed as everything around him fell. His arms moved to tightly grip the iron bars as he pushed them against his chest. He released a scream but it was silenced by the mist and the air rushing around him. He gasped as the thing suddenly stopped, making his whole body twitch as it recovered from the scare it had gotten. He opened his eyes again and the stared into the steel pattern of the platform beneath him. The bar was released by the machine and Brathen didn't stop it. He simply stared into the ground, before slowly moving forward, out of the seat. He slowly stepped out before almost falling onto his knees. He slowly breathed as he thought about what just happened. It was then that the joyous melody of the fairground really entered his mind. It was a sweet and yet very irritating sound. It actually pissed him off more then anything.
He looked up and too his surprise saw some kind of fence surrounding the steel platform. Then there was a click followed by the sound of machines moving. He quickly turned around to see the free-falls seats moving up as the bars made sure the non-existent passengers would be safe from falling down. Then he finally realized that he was currently in a fairground... He walked around a bit, checking the distance that was mostly covered by the mist. There wasn't a lot visible to him. He opened his mouth before quickly closing it again. If someone was here... Then they might be hostile. Who knew, the place looked like a ghost town. Being careful couldn't hurt right?
It was then that the beautiful melody of the fairground was made increasingly louder, seemingly coming from him. After a moment, he realized it was the phone in his left pocket ringing like a madman. But that would mean that someone had changed it... Which was incredibly odd. He took the phone out and answered it. He heard nothing for a few seconds, before a faint breathing would be hear able. "Who the fuck are you and where am I?" After that the caller hung up. He simply growled out of rage as he was tempted to smack the phone into the steel plates he was standing on.
He then took a moment too feel his back, almost knowing the answer to his thoughts. Fuck The backpack he was carrying was gone. It had disappeared without a clue.... Or not. He noticed a plastic case lying on the platform around a meter or two away from him. He moved towards it before opening the case. there were two other cases in it. One open and the other closed. They were both labeled. Prozac Was the label on the closed one. The case was divided into 28 little squares, numbered from 1 to 28... But there was something odd with it. This was by no doubt his medicine case, but something was different. The order of the pills was completely off... Also, last time he checked this thing was at him some. It was actually pretty alarming.
Not only the order of which squares were filled with pills seemed to be at random, but also the kind of pill. There were two kinds, a small yellow colored one, which he remembered being the one to take when needing the calm the fuck down. The other was a larger and longer pill. The daily pill, the one the case was supposed to contain. Yet it also had the other pills, which was not how he remembered it being. The spaces filled with the smaller pills were: 1, 2, 4, 10, 11, 15, 18 and 19. The spaces with the other pills, Prozac, were on: 3, 6, 7, 8, 12, 14 and 17. If this was important or not didn't matter to him though, as he simply dismissed it and went over to open the other case which had been labeled with Clonazepam. It was a much smaller with exactly three pills in it. They were the same pills as the small ones in the other case. He smashed the steel floor of the platform with the side of his hand out of anger. Someone had been messing with his pills. He quickly counted the amount of pills he had before putting them into the smaller case. He had exactly 7 pills that were supposed to be Prozac, the pill he needed to take daily. Then there were the 11 smaller pills, Clonazepam. He then hid the case away in his pocket. It was much more convenient then carrying such a box by hand.
He then slowly moved to the small gate in the middle of the fence around the platform, before opening it, carefully watching his surroundings. He slowly moved into the mist as he carefully watched his steps, not knowing where he would end up.
"I just need to keep my head on straight and I should find a way out." the whole place seemed to be abandoned.
She tried to go a different way this time, hoping to find an exit or at least another person. She noticed a small clearing in the misty fog and saw what looked like a different ride.
"Is that... a Ferris wheel?" she asked herself not having anyone to talk to was making her a little uneasy. "Well it's better than nothing and I hopefully wont end up end up in front of the tunnels again", she rubbed her arms up and down trying to take some of the chill away. She began to walk towards the Ferris wheel hoping to find someone or something.

Re: Twisted Ragtime
Twisted Ragtime
You wake up without memory of how you got here, the first sound you hear is delightful music that wafts through the air, then the sudden cold hits and you open your eyes to see your in an abandoned fairground, but strangely everything still working.
I require absolute commitment when working on this, and also understanding that this is not pre-planned the goal is to eventually get out, but what you may find out about yourself may well shock you.
In the end, side-plots and ideas are totally acceptable and if you wish for more than one character, go ahead. Otherwise got any questions feel free to post here, no one under 17 at least, I would prefer adults for this, unless you can offer me good reason to be a parent and have a kid with them.
Hope this intrigues.
