"That's PRINCE Valdemaro to you. Well, what did you expect? Did you really think you could call me by a nickname without even knowing me?"
This is my life: Having been born the youngest son, Valde (pronounced vahl-day) was never raised to take on the throne. Or, well, not as much as his elder siblings were. This wasn't much of a problem, as Valde was both unsuited and uninterested in the throne. He prefers to leave that to his elder brother, the composed and dignified one. And so, Valde spent many of his days figuring out new ways to ditch his lessons; he would often go far as to leave the castle despite what dangers there were, only to return mysteriously within a week or so. Sometimes he would even return injured. This would land him in trouble of course, but he was never discouraged in the least. He was easily pegged as the 'troublemaker' of the family, when in actuality he just hated the stuffy, two-faced world of politics.

"People should just be honest and open. Why is that so hard?"

Since he didn't really have the burden of being trained to become a ruler, (or rather, refused vehemently), instead he trains his skills in combat. He would most often be found in the training grounds for the soldiers, sparring with them and learning from their veterans. Whether it was hand-to-hand, armed, or abilities-allowed combat, he excelled in each and every one. For all of his flaws, it is entirely possible that he is the strongest out of all of his siblings. He may not be fit to be a king, but his dedication, love of combat, and long years of painful training are what gives him the strength he has today.

"Swords, fists, abilities...they don't lie. So then, will you show me who you really are?"

Unfortunately, Valde wasn't much of one to spend much time with his siblings, since he was often gone from the castle. However, he would always bring them back something; a trinket, some commoner's food to try, a book.....no matter what it was, if there was something he saw that they wanted, he would try to get it for them. If he couldn't get it, he'd still bring them a little 'souvenir' just to show he was always thinking of them, in his own way.

Since Valde liked to surprise them, he would go out of his way to avoid giving them their gifts face-to-face. This wasn't because he didn't like them, or because he was shy, or anything like that; by placing a trinket on a siblings bedside table for them to find when they awaken, or putting a book in a cubbyhole in the library that he knew for sure that a sibling would look into, or even simply having a servant deliver it from an 'admirer', he always thought that he was giving them a little something to brighten their day, just a little bit. Not only that, but he thought of his as his own personal little game; how long until one of them figured out that it was he who sent them such things?

"It'll be our little secret~"

╔═════════════════╗
Getting to Know Me Better [Part Two]
╚═════════════════╝

Sometimes I act like this: Headstrong, blunt, and hot-headed, Valde has never been one for subtlety. If he's thinking something, nine times out of ten he'll say it. For that one time out of ten when he keeps his thoughts to himself, he's usually plotting something, which is almost always some prank or other. He's highly mischievous and doesn't mind embarrassing others or even himself just for a good laugh. However, he doesn't hold any evil intentions (despite his ridiculous escapades) and is actually very upbeat and positive about things. He can be very cunning, although he is also quite reckless.

"Oh come on, it was just a joke! I swear! Do I really have to take yet another lesson for this?!"

Surprisingly violent at times, Valdemaro is well-known for having a special love for the art of combat. When he is feeling sad, angry, or confused, a good fight is more than enough to calm him down. He may not be a strategist like his brother, or be as socially proper as his sister, but he is a superb tactician. Since he specializes in fighting and using his abilities for such purposes, he likes to think of himself as the guardian of the family.

Among the soldiers, Valde is known as 'The Wrath of Lightning', simply because of his merciless attitude during combat. When fighting, Valde becomes almost an entirely different person- cruel, cold, calculating, and downright ruthless.
Image
"Well, it looks like game over for me! If I've got to get married, I might as well have some fun with it."
"I will protect the ones I care about. That is all there is to it, so if you feel like trying....go ahead. I'll beat you, gut you, then fry you like a fish!"

True to his royal blood, he can be condescending and will often look down on others without even realizing he is doing so. He absolutely hates it if someone he doesn't know tries to address him in an informal manner- in his eyes, it's very rude, as if the person were trying to suck up to him just because he's a prince. He doesn't realize that his blunt and obvious nature can be offensive to others, especially in political circles, so he often doesn't understand why people get angry at him sometimes. He can also be very oblivious, especially when it comes to romantic matters. He is incredibly terrible with politics, or anything social, really. His violent nature also tends to get him in trouble, along with his ever-sarcastic attitude.

To his siblings, he acts like he couldn't care less about them or what they think, when in actuality he feels just the opposite. He would never admit it, but he loves them to death. He even looks up to his elder siblings just a bit, although he likes to think he doesn't.

Despite this reckless, hot-headed nature, he is very loyal and will do anything to protect the ones he loves most. He would even go so far as to give his life for his loved ones, smiling all the while. Their happiness, their anger, their sadness, their pain.....to him, they are his too. In his own way, he tries to help shoulder their burdens as well as his own. He lives by the saying, 'speak softly, but carry a big stick'. He can be very kind and loving, but due to his personality it isn't always easy to see.

"When all you can do is fight, it's only fair that you fight for what you want to protect most."

Give it to me:
☑ Playing pranks
☑ Sparring/fighting
☑ Making fun of, well, pretty much anything
☑ Poking at people's sensitivities (which lands him in trouble. A lot.)

Throw it out:
☒ Overly-sensitive people ("They just can't take a joke! The shame.")
☒ Weaklings
☒ His royal duties

"What is this? There's no way in hell I'm going to the masquerade like this! You there! Bring me a woman's dress....I'm going to play a little joke on my fiancee. Might as well, right?"
Powers, Abilities:
Child of the Storm (Lightning Manipulation): Due to years of arduous, careful training (since childhood, really) both in and out of the castle, Valde is able to control lightning at an advanced level. While not mastered yet, his abilities with lightning are not something to be sneezed at. Whether its something as simple as a small, static spark or something as powerful as an entire maelstrom of lightning, his control over it is great. He can even call it forth at will.

Wrath of Lightning: An incredibly advanced level of Lightning Manipulation that borders on mastery, this ability can only be activated in times of great emotional stress or when Valde's life is at risk. This is because Wrath of Lightning is notoriously unstable for those who have not mastered Lightning Manipulation- not only does it turn the user into a monster (as in they lose all sense of self, often attacking anyone and anything), but it can harm the user just as much as the user's opponent(s) simply because they haven't learned how to control it.

When Wrath of Lightning is activated, the user unleashes an incredible amount of electric power; it is entirely possible that anyone within a two-foot radius can be thrown backwards simply due to the force unleashed. Then, from the user a storm generates. This in itself can cover up to a ten-mile radius, although the storm is weaker and less concentrated the farther out it is. Lastly, the user transforms into something of a creature of pure, sheer lightning; while their body remains intact, electricity courses around them and within them and increases both the user's elemental and physical abilities at least tenfold. It is most prevalent in the eyes, which turn a bright blue, almost white. This is also when the user completely loses their mind, having entered a nearly uncontrollable rage- attacking indiscriminately, there is no stopping them until they are either defeated or run out of steam.

Other: Valde carries with him two short swords, of which he dual wields. In combat, he is capable of using both his swords and Lightning Manipulation together; this can be done in a variety of ways. One such way is to coat the blades in sparks, which can easily electrocute his opponent upon impact.

Lonán Samil Richeson

"Nervous? No, not at all. Now, I know some of you might not exactly agree with this, but I believe we must do it with the kingdom's best interest in mind. We either devote ourselves to an unknown spouse, or thousands die." His tone was steely, and he found himself drifting off into thought for a moment after he had said it.

It was for the good of the people, wasn't it? And not only in their kingdom, but in the one opposite them. He made a vow to himself then, not only would he find a way to love his spouse, but he'd do his best to help his siblings find love in such an odd situation. His train of thought crashed as Lyra addressed him. "Well, as soon as Valdemaro show-" He held up a finger as to pause his speech and sniffed the air. It was faint, but it was there, the smell of electricity, the static smell caused by the gaseous plasma electricity produced when it rips the electrons from their atoms. "Nevermind, we can leave now." He turned on his heel and begun to head down the hall, towards his brother.

He stopped next to him, positioning himself so that what he was about to pull out would only be seen by his brother and him. He reached a hand into his pocket and pulled out what seemed to be a dated pocket-watch, adorned by a yin-yang pattern on the lid. Lonán's eyes bounced from the pocket-watch to Valdemaro and placed it back in his pocket. "A secret admirer gave me this, can you believe that?" He asked with an insincere tone, attempting to sound excited by the prospect of an admirer. He held up a finger to his lips and looked back at his sisters, lowering the finger and motioning for them to follow. He turned once more and clapped a hand on his brother's shoulder. "I know it was you. Thanks. Now, let's go, wouldn't want to be late, would we?" He turned his gaze to observe his brother's face and nodded to himself.

"Something tells me you wouldn't mind being late, so let me rephrase. I don't want to be late." And with that, he set out traversing the hall, exiting through the main entrance, and situating himself within their transport carriage, faithful that his siblings would follow suit without any unnecessary hesitation.

†~ Aurora Rose Richeson~†

"Well, well, well....don't you look cute today. You know, if you get tired of wearing such a casual thing, you could always help me with a...ah....joke I have in mind. Just saying. Oh! But you don't have to if you don't want to, so no pressure. So, uhm, are you nervous? I mean, they are vampires 'n all. Rather beastly if you ask me, with the fangs and watnot."

Aurora actually almost laughed when her brother made a scary face at her. Valde was probably the person she felt closest to. He always had a knack for cheering her up, even if he didn't know when she was upset. "I am not nervous at all about my clothing or the vampires," she lied. "And I wish I could help you with your joke, but I want everything to flow as smoothly as possible." Aurora brushed the top of Valde's hand with her fingers, one of her few gestures of affection.

Aurora's heartbeat increased slightly as she stepped outside, but she felt more at ease now that all of her siblings were with her. The carriage came to a stop in front of the mansion. Aurora turned and looked up at the manor she had grown up in. This may be the last time I see this house for a long time... A heavy feeling settled in her stomach as she touched the silver locket she had gotten as a present for her 12th birthday from her mother.

Once the carriage door opened, Aurora let her hand drop to her side as she stepped into the carriage. Though she was worried, she was also hopeful. What kind of new life lay ahead for her? What would it be like to finally have restored peace to both kingdoms? I will be strong. This is merely a new chapter in the life that I have been destined to live. For the sake of our people, and for the sake of our kingdom, I will do this. The heavy feeling began to disappear, leaving in it's wake fierce strength and determination. Aurora's soft blue eyes narrowed slightly as she looked down at her hands, lost in thought.

It wasn't until the carriage lurched forward that Aurora was jolted back into reality. She studied her siblings closely, trying to discern what they were thinking. Lonán seemed calm and prepared, as did Lyra. Valde was obviously irritated and uncertain about the arrangement. He wasn't a hard person to read, seeing as he never bothered to hide his feelings. If Valde had something to say, he would say it, whether with words or with his body language. For the rest of the trip, Aurora stared out the carriage window in silence with her hands folded in her lap.

Lyra felt her people surge around the carriage as they stepped into the velvet prison. Smiling her best and waving to the crowd, she stayed tall and strong, hoping no one could see through the illusion. She could always depend on her older brother to calm her though and looked to him now, seeing a beacon of responibility. This motivated her to carry on being her independant self and making the impression she could. Rolling her eyes to her younger brother, she could already imagine the gears clicking in his immature mind while trying to find a way to sabotage the arrival for selfish reasons.

Helping to shut the door to the carriage, Lyra took a deep breath and tried to release any sorrowed emotions. She sat next to Aurora, who already looked like a vampire, and tried to console her. She placed a hand on hers and squeezed gently. She wanted to reach out to all of her siblings but knew nothing could really help the situation. They didn't exactly have a choice in the marriages. Who knew though...Maybe they would all find their perfect match. Something told her that love would not come so easily.

Lyra decided to keep her mind off how horribly wrong things could go, and instead played with some water inside a covered pitcher. Connecting with it made her feel more at ease. She doubted anyone could deny the static feeling of lightning in the air though. "Valdemaro, I suggest you release any emotions before we meet the vampires." Smiling to him mischieviously, she tugged the canvas window up, and let the thick breeze flow through the carriage.

Lonán Samil Richeson

Lonán kept his chin in his hand, and he was leaning his head against the carriage window whilst his other siblings conversed. The metaphorical slate that was his mind had been wiped clean the moment the carriage had lurched forward. Nothing was on his mind as his eyes took in the scenery they passed by, nor was anything on his mind as he listened to the sound of the hooves hit pavement. No, nothing was on his mind even when the smell of static filled his nose again. Hell, his thoughts only begun to flood back into his head as Lyra jabbed in that one final comment, and suddenly, an idea struck him like lightning.

He straightened his head and let his arm drop to his side, turning his gaze to Valdemaro and opening his mouth to say something so rare that not only would it surprise his siblings, but it'd also be the perfect way to calm his brother down. "Vald, I have an idea for a prank." He put on an estranged smile before placing his palm flat against the window, ice immediately beginning to branch out and frost over the only way anybody could see in. He then retrieved his mask meant for later in the evening and put it on, it had a little mechanism built into it that would only reveal one of his eyes at a time, and he flicked a switch so it revealed the blue, before taking it off once more.

"Your eyes are pretty similar to my one. Wear it as we get out, have it so your left one shows, then we can switch back for the masquerade. I'll wear yours, it obscures the eye color right? Just switch places with me for the introduction. We'll confuse them later tonight, and I can freak them out with the sudden eye color change." He seemed crazy, raising a finger to point at his left eye, which was, of course, a blood red. Granted, it wasn't a very good prank idea on his part, considering he had no experience with them at all. But it was as means to cheer up his brother, and hopefully at least that shone through. He hardly had time to reach and grab Valdemaro's mask and place it on before the carriage came to a stop. He pushed his own mask into his brother's hands, and gave a nod. "Quickly now, Lonán. Remember, left eye."

He had barely finished his sentence when the carriage door was opened and light began to flood in, filling up the darkness the iced over window had caused.

At the mention of a prank from Lonán of all people, Aurora snapped her attention back to her siblings. Seeing her brother working so hard to lighten the mood made the corners of Aurora's mouth turn up. Not a quite a smile but close. She felt almost as if she were in a bubble, watching her siblings chat cheerfully with one another. Suddenly the castle came into sight, large and looming. The sorrow Aurora had felt earlier came back this time, but it wasn't nearly as strong. Without saying anything, Aurora placed her hand over the top of each of her siblings before the carriage came to a halt. As the door opened, Aurora donned her mask, took a deep breath to calm her nerves, and stepped out of the carriage.

Her heartbeat was a little fast, but Aurora wasn't as afraid as she had been before. With her loved ones around her, Aurora kept her focus strong. Everything changes in life, whether it is big or small. Each cause has an effect, and each effect a result. She wondered what her fiancee would be like. How they would get along. If she could keep him happy. Thoughts raced through her mind, but she felt calm and prepared. Aurora kept her guard up and locked away all doubts and fears. This may be one of the most important moments of my life. I cannot afford to ruin it now.

Lyra felt her emotions tense with their arrival. There was no turning back now and with her siblings at her side, she had to press forward. She listened to the boys' pranking agenda, rolling her eyes and shaking her head the whole time, but even Lyra couldn't resist a good laugh. Sure, things could go horribly wrong and thier respectable reputation could be compromised...but Lonan was running the prank and Vald was already out the carriage door.

The darkening castle stood in front of them and Lyra found herself holding back tears. She hadn't realized the stress this mission had placed on her and within moments she had various situations running through her mind. What if the vampire ate her alive? What if he beat her? Lyra promised herself she would never put up with any man who didn't treat her right. She would remain loyal to her kingdom, but not to any ignorant man.

Smiling to the rest of her siblings and placing a mask over her face, Lyra took a deep breath and braced herself for the oncoming events.

Lucifer Anderson

Where are you going, Minzy? Where are you going? Don't leave me, I don't like being alone. It's dangerous out there, please don't go... A shadowy veil surrounded Lucifer, it was almost like a mist. A second ago he was holding hands with Minzy, but for some reason she left, why? Her figure faded slowly, slowly, it was agonizing. The shadows around Lucifer closed in, it was almost suffocating him, one question remained in his mind: Why did she leave me? The darkness entered Lucifer's every orifice, a cold numbness filled his body, it was similar to ice. He tried to scream, but no words came, only muffled gurgles. And then he woke up. He nearly jumped to his feet, the fear that had filled him was almost palpable. He was heaving violently, gasping for air. After a few moments he regained his senses, he caught his breath and he returned to his usual indifferent self. He simply sat there on his bed, minutes past as he sat there frozen in place. "Today is the day, isn't it..." He frowned slightly, so many thoughts flooded his mind. He was going to be married to some pampered human, and Minzy would be married to some prideful weakling. He clenched his teeth and grinded them slowly. He balled his hands into fists and with one decisive movement he stood himself up, rotated his back to face the wall behind his bed, took a step forward and punched the wall with his right hand. The wall didn't crack, over the years his father had replaced Lucifer's walls with stone, it was the only thing he could do to avoid the constant repair costs that came with Lucifers violent tendancies. It worked very well, unfortunately for Lucifer the hard stone often bruised and cut his hand whenever he punched it. His heightened sense of pain had been troublesome for all of his life, even something small like having his finger pricked with a needle was as painful as being stabbed with a blade. Though because of this he developed a high tolerance for the oh so familiar sting of pain. His fist oozed a few drops of red liquid, blood.

Lucifer pulled his hand back, examining his knuckles, sure enough there was a nasty-looking gash in between his index and middle finger. He brought it closer to his mouth and licked it once, just to keep the blood from spilling onto the carpet. He heard a knock at the door, "Come in." He said in a most indifferent manner. The door swung open and a pretty looking maid entered. Lucifer turned to the maid, who must've been a little surprised to see him up already. She stuttered when trying to speak her mind, something Lucifer had no patience for. "Shut up and go get me a bandage." He ordered the maid, flashing his minor wound at the maid, who seemed shocked to see him injured. She rushed out of the room, Lucifer wandered over to his dresser and opened it up. It was full of formal wear, "Gah, those bastards, i'm not some doll they can dress however they please.." Despite this Lucifer was certain that he was already late, he didn't have time to complain and try to find something different to wear. Grudgingly he put on the formal wear. The strange outfitt made him feel uncomfortable, it was tight and restricted his movement, nonetheless it would suffice. He grabbed his custom made mask. The mask suited him, thankfully he had at least some choice in his attire, however small it may be. He slid the mask into one of his coat pockets before walking out from his room. The maid from before arrived with a roll of gauze and some string to secure it. "You have some medical experience, right? Surely you can bandage this up." Lucifer extended his hand for the maid to bandage, after a few moments the deed was done and the wound was nicely wrapped up. "You have my thanks. Now leave my sight." He said with little emotion, he felt the bandage a bit with his other hand. He began to take a stroll down to the wine cellar.

By the way the servants were acting it would seem that his siblings had already left. Lucifer was always the last to wake up, mainly because anyone that disturbed him would find themselves losing at least one extremity. Finally after nine or ten minutes of walking he reached he wine cellar, thankfull it was abandoned. He grabbed a leather bag from the floor and slid out one of the many wine bottles. The type, taste, or age didn't matter to him, all that mattered was if it was going to get him drunk. He dropped the bottle into the leather bag and walked out, carrying the bag by it's handle. Once he was outside he saw a carriage and a gruff looking man at the front, drifting off into a stupor. "Hey, Raphael, wake up, it's time to go." Raphael was his usual driver, perhaps the only one that could deal with Lucifer and not go insane. He was as wise as he was old. Often times Lucifer would find himself sucked into deep and engrossing conversations with him, he had an interesting past so talking to him was always entertaining. The old man raised his head and glanced at Lucifer, "Ah, finally up I see? Hurry up and get in, your sisters already left fifteen minutes ago." Lucifer smirked a bit and boarded the carriage. Finally he was on his way to the border where he would meet the human royalty, and his spouse. He had a pleasant conversation with Raphael, but he couldn't shake the feeling of helplessness. He didn't care so much about himself marrying, but the thought of his older sister Minzy being married...It was unbelievable. He hated when any man got close to her, his jealousy made him sick. But now she would be married, she'd be forced to partake in a romantic relationship, and maybe eventually...Bear children.

No, the very thought of that enraged him, he would kill Minzy's spouse before that happened. He took in a deep breath, what was he thinking? Of course he couldn't do that, he was helpless. No matter how much power he wielded it didn't matter, this was bigger than himself, both kingdoms wanted this. Peace... He thought, what was wrong with war? He didn't care for the humans, they were weak, their only strength lying in their ability to control elements, hell, Lucifer would even lead his father's armies into battle if he gave him the chance. He fought warriors twice as strong as any human every day. "Young master, what's wrong? Do you feel sick?" Raphael interrupted Lucifer's thoughts. He realized, he hadn't been talking for at least a few minutes. He glared out the window, "Sick? I guess you could say that. I'm sorry Raphael, but I think I would prefer to soak in the scenery now." Raphael gave a quick nod and kept quiet for the rest of the journey, Lucifer simply gazing out at the countryside, it was better not to worry himself now. After what seemed like ages he arrived at the castle, it was quite a view to be sure, but for obvious reasons he wasn't too thrilled. He noticed a carriage arriving about at the same time as his, it must've been from the kingdom of light. He donned his mask and lef the carriage, strolling over to Celestine, the leather bag tucked under his right arm and his left in his pants pocket. He couldn't tell what Celestine was thinking, but it must've been a little intimidating to be the first to greet all four of the human royalty. He kept himself facing the light kingdom's carriage, he remained silent, his bored expression hidden behind his mask.

Lyra began taking deeper breaths sliently. The anticipation was one she didn't think any person could be use to. She had dealt with her father's court, important decisions, and tests of her dignity all through her lifetime, but nothing could prepare her for this. As soon as all her siblings had exited the carriage, she heard the scuttling of feet approach them. Different maids and what looked like butlers, hurried around them. Their carriage was unbuckled from the horses while the horses were led away, leaving Lyra and her siblings alone to face their future.

Lyra was wishing her own maids, and friends, were around her now, but her father hadn't permitted any extra companions. She stood firmly next to Aurora and set a hopeful hand against her shoulder blades. She could sense the tension among them, but couldn't do much, even she was too nervous to speak. The closing of another carriage next to them caused her to flinch, which she didn't do very often. Her brother's pranks had cured her of any tedious fears. Marrying a vampire was not on that list though.

She held her breath as the two families were left to each other. Lyra could only see a few of their suitors though and wondered what kept the others. The suitors she saw though, were a bit intimidating. They stood tall and firm, the way her parents use to before scolding one of them. This brought a little anger through her veins. The vampires already seemed full of pride and ignorance, which might be tolerable for her siblings, but not for Lyra.

Immediately after she caught sight of the vampires, Aurora began to study them. Two were absent. The taller, beautiful woman whom she suspected to be the eldest sister looked bored and tired. From the way she was standing and the expression on her face, Aurora could tell she was strict, cold, and without much emotion. The other, the younger man standing next to her was practically exuding revulsion and anger. She didn't need to see his facial expression; She could feel it coming off of him in a form of negative energy, creating tension in the air. From what she could tell, if all the suitors had such hard, abrasive personalities, then the future ahead would be a rocky one.

Even so, Aurora curtsied and introduced herself. "My name is Aurora Rose Richeson, youngest of the Light Kingdom household. It is a pleasure to meet you." Aurora forced herself to meet the eyes of both vampires. Her tone was calm and even, and pleasant. Though she was not naturally a very enthusiastic person, when needed Aurora could summon the energy required to sound or look any way she so desired. However, Aurora did not try to smile. If there was one thing that could be seen through easily other than the eyes, it was the mouth. For the mouth tended to follow the eyes, and if the eyes were not "smiling," then any smile would look like it had been plastered on her face.

~I hope the night will not be so filled with such formalities that it will be long and tedious. I pray that the fear of making a mistake will not be so overwhelming that it keeps us from being ourselves. Fake appearances will not do on a night such as this.~

Lonán Samil Richeson

I've made a mistake.

Lonán cursed himself as he stepped out of the carriage, bewildered at how he let himself get so far out of hand at the crucial moment before meeting his suitor. Idiot, idiot, idiot. A thousand plagues upon you. Once he composed himself, the prank was the furthest out of his mind, and he placed a hand on his brother's shoulder as he walked up next to him. "Brother, I know you were looking forward to this, but I just realized important this is for the future of us and our Kingdoms. We wouldn't want to set a bad impression this soon. I hope you'll understand, but I require my mask back. And I owe you one prank, free to redeem at any future date."

He moved with such dexterity in both hands then, that when he switched both the masks between faces, only a flash of red would be caught from an observer before blue shone through. "I truly am sorry, but I got carried away in my attempt to calm you down. Now, I know how you like leaving your little presents anonymously," he voice had dropped to a whisper at this point, at a level of volume only Valde would be able to hear. "Please just gift me this and I will be eternally grateful, you'll never owe me anything again." There was a desperation steeled in his voice for that last bit, and he let his hand fall from his brother's shoulder.

"If not for me, than for our sisters. We wouldn't want to upset our suitors and then have them take it out on Lyra and Aurora, would we?" A smile cracked beneath his mask, as he knew that would be the selling point. His hand raised once more to again clap Valde on the shoulder, and then Lonán set forward with a new-found stride. He found himself stopping next to Lyra first, and placed a very cold hand upon her cheek, a silent 'cool down'. He nodded, gave a wink with the visible eye, and then stood next to Aurora, bowing himself, and raising his eye to meet the suitors', keeping eye contact as he rose to stand straight once more.

"And I, Lonán Samil Richeson, the eldest. I'm glad you'll all be joining us to help achieve peace for our neighboring kingdoms. I pray everybody involved will find the same sense of comfort that I do with this situation in the days to come."

As her brother left the room, she stayed in silence, allowing him to excuse himself, before she too, also stood and walked out of her room. Minzy soon stopped a maid and asked her if she could get her mask; with a nod, the maid hurried down the hallway and gave Minzy her mask.

Minzy stood in the hallway, holding her mask quietly as she slowly put it on. It wasn’t much, only a mask that was painted gold and had some sort of fake flower on the side; to be completely honest, she didn’t favor much of this mask, yet she dealt with it as she walked down the hallway and headed for the entrance once again.

Once she reached, Minzy carefully opened the door, as if there was an ugly beast behind it, ready to attack her; which, in her mind, there was. Once Minzy was outside, she quickly spotted her siblings and strolled over next to them, looking at each of the suitors. She could already pinpoint her fiancé out, and her golden eyes simply stared at him, dead on as if he was something tasty to eat, yet deadly.

Though, her eyes soon panned over to the two angelic women who stood before her; both of them looking like fine young ladies- well developed and quite the beauties. Yet, like herself, Minzy knew that they weren’t exactly jumping for joy to get married at their age. Finally, her eyes stopped at a tall and broad shouldered man; one who looked like Celestine’s fiancé.

Even with a mask on, Minzy had to admit that he was quite the eye catcher; a man, if she knew sooner, she would’ve eaten. Though her thoughts where interrupted by another one, just as it bumped into her observation and knocked it out of her head. “Ah, please excuse me.” She stated quietly, before introducing herself, “I am Minzy.”

It was a short introduction, but it’d work for now; she wasn’t marrying everyone, was she? So she figured they didn’t need more than her name. Minzy’s attention soon stopped on her brother, Lucifer; a slight smile peering onto her lips to greet him in silence.

ǂSummanus Malvolio Andersonǂ

Waiting in the quiet room was rather peaceful, Summanus realized. his little hideaway was quite comfortable, since he brought a small chair in the corner a few minutes ago after growing weary of standing for so long. he was sitting at attention reflecting on what Minzy had asked him earlier about what he looked for in a spouse, when the doors flew open. A man wearing a mask stormed through the room, and much to Summanus's relief, headed toward the hallway beyond the room. He was obviously not Lucifer, so Summanus assumed he was one of his sister's soon to be husbands. How odd. He reminds me of Lucifer. I do not think that is good. The man clearly had not spent time introducing himself to his siblings, who were now all outside together. This breach in etiquette disturbed him, and caused him to be slightly offended.

Suddenly, the man stopped and clutched his mask, still on his face. slowly, a maelstrom of sparks and electric arcs started to form around him, releasing a powerful energy Summanus had rarely seen from any mortal. Soon, his mask shattered, the pieces falling to the floor. "Looks like I did it again..." The man said in a strange tone. "Now they're going to see this and think I'm angry. Well, they wouldn't be wrong, but it's not like they'd understand what I'm mad about."

Oh my, but he is a strange one. I wonder why we would not understand?

The man muttered something again, and started to walk away, leaving the shattered remains of the mask laying in the floor. Once he was gone, Summanus sent a small inky black disk across the floor and surrounded the mask. a moment later it fell through the Dark as if it were a hole, and landed on his lap. after a few minutes of work, He had completely assembled it, apart from several miniscule chips. he had used the melted wax from the nearest candle to hold it together, and fill in the holes. the cracks were still clearly visible, spider-webbing across the surface in dark grey lines. But he liked how it looked. But what am I going to do with it?

Aurora flinched, barely visible as Valde stormed off. It always worried her when he got this angry, and she hoped her suitors wouldn't hold it against him. It seemed like most of the introductions had been given, so Aurora cleared her voice and said, "Ah.. If you will excuse me, I am going to go find my brother." She gave an apologetic nod of her head before turning and walking gracefully into the castle. The rooms were vast with high ceilings and somewhat dim lighting.

Aurora continued walking forward before stopping abruptly and turning her head to a darkened corner of the room. Her blue eyes narrowed as she made out the figure of a pale man sitting in a chair, a broken mask on his lap. "Hello... My name is Aurora Richeson. It is a pleasure to meet you." She curtsied, eyes still focused on the strange man. ~Why does he stay in the dark? He must be uncomfortable around other people.~

Soon, one by one, each person left; eventually leaving Minzy, Lonan, and Celestine together outside. Minzy watched the man whom she thought was her sister’s suitor before she gave a faint smile. “Well, since I am done with introductions; please excuse myself to the castle.” With that, Minzy turned on her heels and walked towards the entrance of the manor; her hands running down the front of her dress down towards the waist line, feeling the silky material before she placed her hands around the door knobs.

Once again, Minzy repeated the process of opening the doors, and walking inside of the castle; this time, without a maid escorting her inside. Her golden eyes closed as she walked along the floors, hearing her heels click against the tiled floors. Minzy walked past her dear brother and what seemed his future bride; yet, she didn’t greet either one of them, only gave them a quick glance before walking up the spiral stair case, hoping to find her own fiancé.

The reason for this was a bit unknown; perhaps she’d like to eat him, or maybe just great him overall. Despite the reasons, one thing was certain, Minzy was defiantly hoping that she’d run into Vald. Finally, her eyes met him; it was just by a close shot. If she hadn’t been paying attention and thinking up of things, she would’ve missed him entirely. Minzy drew herself closer to him, before making herself known.

“Hello, Prince Valdemaro.” She stated, though, it was obvious that even though she had addressed him respectfully, that her tone of voice had no respect by any means. Once again, her eyes danced across his body, bringing in every visual feature that was available. “How do you feel about the wedding?” She asked randomly, this time, her voice was softer than before.

Minzy watched him as he looked towards her; even though his stare was just as intense as hers, Minzy’s eyes did not leave his- even when he started to speak.
"First of all, do you mind not looking at me like I'm your next meal? I'd appreciate that. Sure, I'm a human and all, but does that really make it okay? Honestly, if you vampires are so hungry that even your royalty is starving, then maybe you should find a better choice of nutrients.... Ah, but one of these beings is my fiancée, so I guess I shouldn't speak like that, should I? You poor thing."

Despite him speaking with such disgrace, Minzy kept silent; the only thing that allowed anyone to notice that she was actually listening, was the fact that after he had spoken, she rose her head in an almost arrogant way, as if challenging him to prove that everything he spoke about was indeed true.
"You're stuck with me, so if you're going to eat me then do it. Don't just stare at me like I'm some kind of meatbag just waiting for you to pounce on. Besides, I doubt you really want to know how a mere meal like me feels, am I right?"

As he leaned in closer to her, Minzy could feel her heart race; do not be mistaken. It wasn’t the ‘love’ word making her heart beat; no. It was the desire that was illuminating his body; it was nearly the adrenaline that had coursed through Minzy’s body as well. Finally, after Vald was done speaking, Minzy made her move.

She gently placed her hand on his shoulder, while the other slowly made its way to his chest; once it made contact, Minzy allowed her hand to softly run up and down his chest. A smile perked against her lips, as she slightly tilted her head, as if she was going to bite; yet, she never did. Instead, Minzy’s power coursed through her veins and out onto Vald; the power to make Vald completely paralyzed.

Minzy stood on her toes, her lips only about a centimeter away from his ear. “You have nothing to worry about, my dear fiancé; I would be damned if I ever pierced your flesh with my fangs.” Her voice was lower than a whisper, yet audible just enough for him to hear.

“Though, I will be honest…” She said, sliding her hand down his chest and stopping right at his stomach before she pulled it away, going back onto her feet; the only thing that was touching him at the moment was her arm that still lightly gripped his shoulder. “You do look quite satisfying.” Her smile seemed sweet; yet within her golden eyes, there was a sensational yet twisted meaning behind her words.

Minzy’s hand ran down his shoulder, her eyes watching it as she softly felt his arm muscle. “Wow,” Minzy’s face seemed shocked, yet, anyone could tell; even underneath her mask, that it was completely fake. “Perhaps you humans should find a different choice of nutrients; if you did that, perhaps you wouldn’t be so weak, that even your royalty is suffering…” She was mocking him; Minzy’s voice was dripping with mockery and contempt.

“Ah,” She said, her voice sounding falsely disappointed. “I am a fiancée to one of those beings, so I guess I shouldn’t speak like that; poor thing.” Her eyes stared up at him, as if she was just an innocent child playing a trick on her elders. Minzy’s hand dropped to her side before her other hand reached up to Vald’s face, lightly touching his cheek as she leaned in; deciding on whether she should leave him paralyzed or not.

After a few seconds of staring at him, Minzy finally leaned in closer, as if she was going to kiss him; yet, instead of placing her lips on his, she simply pecked his cheek with a gentle, soft yet meaningless and cold kiss- freeing him of her power. Minzy stepped back, allowing him to move as she walked towards the piano, her petite hand tracing over the keys; she said nothing, thinking that it might be a good idea to allow the hot headed human speak his mind before she would ask more questions of her fiancé.

Minzy’s hand began to feel the keys, her fingers pressing down on one of them as Valde began to speak, attentively listening to him. Though, as he spoke, Minzy couldn’t help but to admire the white keys that sat prettily onto the piano; she had wished that she could play the piano, she always admired those who could. Her thoughts where pulled from her head as her golden eyes looked at Valde, who was staring her dead in her eyes; Minzy could’ve sworn that she saw a surge of electricity go through his eyes- that type of intense passion in someone only made her more interested in them.

"There is only one. If you so much as touch one of my siblings with harmful intentions, I'll hunt you down, gut you like a fish, and then fry you for dinner. This applies to your wonderfully sociable siblings as well. I won't accept any harm to come to them, understand?"
It was as if he was threatening her- oh wait, in a way, he was. This very thought made her throat a slight chuckle as he walked away, leaving her to stare at his back; he looked quite elegant- in a, goofy and non leader-ish way- as he stood facing the window, having his hands meet and tie themselves behind his back. He continued to speak, and she continued to stay in silence, making sure he was done speaking before she voiced herself.
"Is that all you came here for, or is there something else?"

Minzy’s golden eyes looked back at the piano for a few seconds before she looked back up at him; staring at him in his eyes. A smile peered on her face and tugged on her lips, causing her teeth to slightly show. “You know, Prince Valde, I cannot control the actions of my dear siblings; so whatever may happen between them and you or your siblings, is between them.” She said, her voice becoming stern as if she was speaking to a child. “Your empty threats have no regards to me; I would and will not harm any of your siblings- it gives me nothing to gain but mindless violence.” Minzy said, almost uninterested with the topic as she lifted her hand up off of the piano.

“Ah,” her lips parted as her golden eyes left his, swaying over towards a cello that stayed against the wall. “That depends…” She began, her petite fingers sliding over the beautiful cello; each string played an angel’s tune. “Is there any matters on which you’d like to discuss further?”

Aurora sighed and looked about the room. Most everyone was gone except for a few couples. Her sister was dancing quite flirtatiously on the floor with another young man. Then a thought struck Aurora. Where was Valde? He hadn't shown up at all. How could I not have noticed? Where did he go? Aurora picked up her dress and hurried from the ballroom and down the hall to search for her brother, looking in various rooms but with no luck. Thoughts flooded through her mind, but she refused to give into the fear that something bad may have happened. Instead she continued her search, determined to find Valde.

At the sight of her brother, Aurora calmed down a little but was still worried. "What do you mean why aren't I at the ball? Where have you been?! Are you feeling okay? You're not sick are you?" Aurora placed her hand on Valde's forehead for a second before dropping it. "That's a relief. At least you aren't sick." Looking around the hall, it struck her that the younger vampires were missing. She was curious but figured that could wait until later.

"Come with me. You must be hungry." Aurora took Valde's hand without waiting for a reply and headed in the direction of the kitchen. She didn't want to head straight to the ballroom. It would probably be loud and disorienting for her brother who had just woken up. "The ball has been going on for about 2 and a half hours now. Most everyone has left." There was no criticism in her voice, only relief. Aurora felt warm and safe with Valde, happy even. It was nice knowing he was okay and being able to spend even a small amount of time together. Soon they would be separated, forced to be married to someone they could only hope to come to love. But Aurora wouldn't think about the future; she wanted to stay in the now.
