Luca Martin Feygor

Theme 2 Music

Gender::
Male

Age::
17

Rank::
Noble

Sexuality::
Heterosexual

Appearance::
Like his rank suggests, Luca is a noble and has the rugged charm to go along with it. Standing relatively tall (180 cm) and well built, Luca has a sublime presence matched by his river blue eyes. Young, yet somewhat rough, his messy black hair and sharp features lend well to his animated expressions. Luca can look good in anything, although he rarely makes the effort to do so. Frequently caught wearing casual clothes, Luca is a master of disguise and blends in well with any setting.

Personality::
Luca is nothing but an image, an aspiration. Cheerful, kind and somewhat mischievous, this is the façade Luca presents at all times. In this fashion, Luca often appears to be insincere as he glosses over comments or replies with a snide remark. Never one to remain silent, Luca isn’t shy either. He is obtrusive yet secretive, jovial yet sly.

Luca is smart also, his ability to analyse and calculate situations has stunned even some of the best scholars in the academy. Yet behind the courteous smiles and tomfoolery lies a sinister, subtle existence. Luca's emotions are like a fine wire, in a snap his personality can go from cheerful to intimidating. Nothing pronounced like the rage of a psychotic, but rather like the suffocating atmosphere of looking into a mirror. Luca has an ethical code of sorts, defined by his strong albeit flawed, sense of justice. This is abolished the moment Luca snaps. As his mood changes, so to does his actions. Luca's mind has never fully recovered since the incident from his 9th birthday and he is still deeply troubled by it. Perhaps the most frightening part of Luca’s personality though is his resolve. That he would stop at nothing to achieve his mission or goals.

Skills::
Information & data gathering - A result of his amazing memory and his attention to detail.
Mixture of street fighting & martial arts - Contrary to his charming nature, Luca was quite the delinquent. He has a keen sense of handling himself in close combat ever since his dad, an ex-soldier, began beating him. The real truth behind his strength lies in his ability to adapt. It's uncertain when this began but for a long time now Luca has been purposefully using Blue Horror's sensory abilities on himself to train and heighten his own sensory thresholds. However, if possible, Luca always attempts to resolve conflicts diplomatically first.
Cooking - Having taken up cooking for his grandparents, Luca has become quite the masterchef.

Name of Bond::
Blue Horror

Race of Bond::
Demon - Vassago

Personality of Bond::
Blue horror is an enigma, a disturbing existence that shouldn’t exist by all rights. His relationship with Luca seems to be purely based on mutual necessity rather than the typical bond shared between humans and their Bonds. The Blue horror is a demon, or perhaps it is a mythological creature. Barely humanoid, it is a mass of rippling, blue tinged flesh with a chaotic mixture of limbs of various sizes. He wears runic red robes which seem to writh with a life of their own, swirling freely and openly, its very presence seems to warp reality around it. Preferring to travel alone, Luca is rarely seen with his Bond. Indeed, many often assume that his bond was simply killed. Luca hides the Blue Horror's presence at all times and keeps its true form a secret in public. Whether this is because Luca doesn't want to scare people or simply doesn't want to deal with the trouble of revealing the Blue horror's terrifying form is unknown. If necessary he simply covers his Bond in another set of heavy robes to hide its disquieting appearance.

Blue horror stands a good head taller than most humans (235 cm). It is an insidious creature whose form is born from the things of nightmares. Ironically, in contrast to its appearance, the Blue Horror is highly intelligent and if anything, much more honest and open than Luca. The Blue horror has an excessive appetite for learning and spends most of its time reading.

Skills of Bond::
Teleportation - Has a limited range of 100m, useful for getting to class if running late. It's not a traditional teleporting, but rather, Luca or the Blue horror must swap positions with inanimate objects they've come into contact with before, although Blue has much more freedom over this ability that Luca.
Gluttony – For brief periods of time, Blue Horror can choose to enhance or rob a being of up to 2 of its senses. These include touch, hearing, taste, smell, sight, balance and acceleration (vestibular system), pain (noniception), thermoception, kinesthetic sense (proprioception) and time (chronoception).

History::
It’s perhaps prudent to say that life has been less than kind to Luca. Born in Kuttailec, Luca had a family of four, consisting of his mother, father and an older sister. Luca’s father was an abusive and arrogant retired soldier who frequently took to beating Luca’s mother. For the young boy, Luca was four when the beatings first began. Initially it was the bruises which first piqued his curiosity, but one night he witnessed the act first hand. It was a simple mistake to be honest. Stumbling out of bed, groggy, yet desperate to reach the toilet at the end of the hallway, Luca raced out of his room in the middle of the night. It was then that a quiet whimper caught his attention.

Downstairs, in the lounge room, there was the sound of struggling and a clatter of silverware. Investigating the source of the noise, Luca discovered his father beating his mother for the very first time. Luca was horrified at first. Seeing the anguished face of his mother, something dark and sinister grew within him. It was a seething, bubbling rage which no child should have been capable of exhibiting. Luca stormed in, interrupting his father and offering himself up in exchange. From there, Luca was punished severely. His father chided Luca’s naivety and weakness and beat him till he was bloody.

Things would remain the same until his 9th birthday. Luca shared a close relationship with his older sister. She, more than his mother, was an inspiration to him because of her intellect and kindness. Luca had been beaten by his father ever since he was four but surprisingly this remained a secret between the two. The discovery was made on his 9th birthday. Confronting their father, Luca’s sister intervened and made a formal protest. Their father’s response was simply a violent and immediate slap. Luca’s pent up rage over the past five years finally caught up to him. The years of anger, hate and abuse he wanted to throw back exploded as he took up a knife and lunged forwards murderously.

Luca’s sister ended up stopping him, but it was she, instead of his father who was stabbed instead. Realising what he'd done, something snapped within Luca that day. The sense that nothing else mattered overcame all thoughts and all that remained was death. The true extents of the entire event are shrouded in mystery, especially with concerns to what happened afterwards. When the police arrived to investigate, they discovered the gruesome scene and a terrified kid all alone. Nothing else, not even the the parent's and sister's Bonds had survived intact. In the end the entire incident was wrapped up as a break-in robbery. The truth of what occurred was never discovered and neither where Luca's sins. Afterwards, Luca was adopted by his grandparents. An ex-general and ex-lawyer who sympathised with his situation and vowed to look after him in his parent’s stead. So began his life as a noble.

Rue Tyryl

His finger held her lips together causing further heat to explode across her face. Once again he'd made her turn redder than an apple. However, what he said next kept her breath in her lungs and her eyes wide.

“My sincerest apologies if I wasn’t to your liking. I promise later I’ll let you do whatever you want with me in return,” his eyes were filled with amusement before he turned serious. Rue knew that he was teasing once again, how could she not have liked him? It was plain as day, at least to her. She stared at him in silence as he removed his finger and turned to the fighting that was still going on. She didn't catch the last part of his sentence until he turned to look at her once more because she was thinking rapidly of what he'd just said and what she could possibly do. She shook her head and cleared her thoughts as they turned her face in to a burning oven. His blue eyes flicked down to her stomach and she remembered why she was curled up on the ground next to him. Her hands were still holding tightly to his shirt, and she felt her heart skip a beat once again. Rue didn't let go though, afraid that if his heat moved away she would grow cold once more.

“You mentioned Snow could do something about the fire. Can you still help?”

Rue looked to the bright white bird then back to him, her cheeks still flushed with embarrassment, "Yes," she swallowed not sure if he'd like her idea entirely, "She is a unique phoenix. Instead of fire, she throws ice. The ice will still burn if it touches you, though. Like dry ice, I guess," she stopped for a moment and looked back at Snow who watched her as well.

"I can handle it on my own, you're in no shape to do anything," Snow said, her feathers ruffling and her eyes seemingly narrowing at Rue as the bond read her thoughts.

"She can control the flames from Kivuli... the thing is I don't know if she'll be able to keep it all from going up in flames," Rue finished. She understood that Snow didn't wish her too take in the power and help as well. However, Rue was worried that if she didn't help, they'd be fighting more than just a behemoth, and fire wasn't an easy opponent. Snow fluttered in agitation.

"You aren't going to anything."

"Snow, you're going to need my help. Just as I need yours."

"Rue! You stubborn... Ugh! Fine, what do you need?" Snow hopped up and down, her wings extended to show her anger at her bond.

"Burn the wound closed to stop the bleeding. I need to at least stay awake this time," Rue ordered. The phoenix hopped up onto her lap and her upper body and wings began to glow with white flames. Careful not to touch Luca, Snow hesitated before leaning over the wound and extending one wing out towards it.

"You... are the most brave and stubborn bond I'll ever have..."

Rue smiled slightly, though she was cringing inwardly and her breath was tight in her chest, "Just make it quick," she muttered, then clenched her teeth as the burning wing touched her wound and began cauterizing.

"Yes," Rue began. She appeared to suspend her thoughts at the next sentence, her words hovering hesitantly over her lips as if the idea was unpalatable. Seeing this, Luca raised an eyebrow as both curiosity and concern illuminated his features, "She is a unique phoenix. Instead of fire, she throws ice. The ice will still burn if it touches you, though. Like dry ice, I guess,"

Luca’s face was a question mark as he wondered what she was getting at. But, as Snow drew close to Rue with her feathers ruffled in apparent anger, he understood the idea was would be dangerous in some form.

As Rue continued to debate with her bond, he noticed a look of resolution setting in, her dazzling green eyes glowing with that indisputable determination,"Burn the wound closed to stop the bleeding. I need to at least stay awake this time."

Luca blinked, the suddenness of the statement giving him no chance to protest as Snow hopped up carefully and placed a wing over the wound. His mind rang with alarm. In the time that he had, it was impossible to consider the implications of cauterizing the wound, let alone contemplate if using ice would even work. Luca could still feel the light tug of her grip against his shirt as Rue braced herself, clenching her jaw tightly in anticipation of the pain, "Just make it quick."

“Dammit Rue” Luca said. He took hold of her hand as he summoned what little energy he’d recovered, all the while cursing at how poorly the class had progressed so far. They hadn’t even reached the flag yet. He focused his bond’s power as he imagined Rue’s nervous system, picturing the tiny cables of axons that lined and curved their way around the human body. Moving from there, he picked at the nociception system, eliminating the signals of her pain receptors.

Her eyes squeezed shut as she felt the beginnings of the burn across her skin. Snow hadn't put her entire wing down yet, but she could feel the intense cold of her icy flames and the searing through her torn shirt. A warm and strong hand clasped over hers as she held tightly to Luca. His voice whispered a curse, and she cracked her eyes opened to look at him. He was doing something, the concentration plain as day on his face. What it was though, Rue didn't know. At least, until she couldn't feel Snow at all.

It was like her body went completely numb as if she'd been injected with some kind of morphine that killed the pain. An eyebrow came down as her breath slowly came out of her lungs and she looked down to Snow who was pressing her ignited wing all across her wound. The only thing that told her the deep cut was being closed by the deep cold was the sharp smell burning. Rue tried not to breath too much as it was making her slightly sick, so she tore her gaze away and looked up at the canopy of wind whipping trees. The storm had continued and it was then she realized that she had no choice but to take in Snow's power because the bird wasn't going to be able to fly properly in the first place.

"I would have managed, you know," Snow said, her voice clipped slightly.

Rue only shook her head. Even if it were so, she wouldn't have allowed Snow to do it on her own anyway. Snow huffed as she finished the cauterizing. Drawing back the white tendrils that had enveloped her dimmed down and the phoenix fluttered her wings as she hopped off of Rue's stomach. With a sharp click of her long beak, Snow announced to Luca that she was done.

Pulling herself upwards, she carefully got into a sitting position. The last thing she wanted was to tear open the closed wound. With her free hand she gently pulled free from Luca's grasp and gave him a small smile, "I'm alright now, you can stop what you did," she told him. Then she turned her eyes to the fighting. Her brother had pulled back to the group but he was on his knees, an arm wrapped around his stomach and a thin trail of blood going from the corner of his mouth down to his chin and neck. Her heart jumped at the sight. Nemesis must have been thrown quite a bit for Erin to be bleeding.

The black wolf was still fighting, though Erin hadn't been shouting orders like before. She guessed that Nemesis told his bond to get back and leave the rest to him. It would be something the dire wolf would do. Rue braced herself against Luca's shoulder and got herself up to her feet. As she lost contact with him, whatever he'd done started to fade away slowly and she could feel the beginnings of a dull ache in her side and throughout her stomach. We'll have to be quick about this, Rue thought.

"Be careful, please..." Snow begged as she hopped over to Rue's feet. With the wind tearing through the forest, Snow could hardly even open her wings unless someone was there to block the storm. Rue looked down and nodded, then she took a deep breath and concentrated on pulling on Snow's icy abilities. She'd never done it before so the first attempt only concluded in Rue's eyes turning a deep silver and a slight white glow encompassing her small frame. Then it faded and Rue's eyes narrowed as she tried it again.

"Take it slow, it will come to you naturally."

Rue nodded and closed her eyes, breathing deeply and feeling her deep connection with the phoenix. Once she was sure she'd gotten a good hold, she began drawing the power to herself. The second attempt was more fruitful and Rue glowed white just like Snow had a moment ago, icy wisps of white fire flicking out around her body. Rue opened silver eyes and turned to face the behemoth. Her thoughts turned from how she could keep a fire from raging through the forest, to what she could do to make this fight easier. She moved towards the battle, her eyes calculating what it was going to take to do what came to mind and how close she had to be.

The creature slammed it's fist into the ground in front of her, making the earth tremble. For the moment it didn't seem to notice her, as Nemesis was it's primary target. The dire wolf took one look towards her and leapt into a frenzy. He growled and barked, scratched and bit at the creature. Slowly he pulled the behemoth's attention to another direction that didn't face Rue. Kneeling down, she placed one hand on the ground and concentrated all of the power there. The hard dirt started to change color from brown to white and stretched out towards the creatures feet at an rapid pace. Once the area underneath it was a burning sheet of dry ice, she channeled the power to begin encasing the creature.

This was a slower process. The ice cracked and shifted as it started up the things feet, burning as it went. The behemoth shouted out in rage and pain and swung wildly at Nemesis. The dire wolf was tossed away and a cry of pain behind her broke her concentration. She looked sharply to the group where Erin was and witnessed him crumpling over on the ground. Her heart skipped a beat and for a moment she almost lost all the power she'd accumulated. The sound of ice shattering pulled her back around and her eyes widened slightly as the creature turned to face her. It growled at first, then leaned over and opened its mouth wide to give an earth shattering roar directed right at her.

Rue pulled at Snow's power and brought back the icy flames in an instant. She refroze the ground and started once more on trapping it where it stood. The foot she'd encased before began to glow with white ice again. The behemoth shouted in rage, trying to pull its leg free as she solidified the dry ice around its foot and worked upwards to its knee and thigh. Rue dropped down, ducking a swing that cut close to her body. The air that rushed passed her threw her hair all around and the clenched fist that was the creatures pulled at a few strands.

All she needed was to encase the other leg the same way and she could back away from the thing. In fact, they all could run once she was finished. Rue ducked again as she started on the other leg, barely missing another swing.

"Rue..." it was Snow's voice, and she sounded utterly tired. With her heart in her throat once more, Rue realized that Snow couldn't keep up her power for much longer and that she was draining her bond as well as herself.

"A little more, Snow. A little more. We're almost there alright?"

"Alright..."

Watching closely for any indication that the bond had finished, Luca sighed with relief when Snow finally clucked her sharp beaks together and stepped back. Releasing his focus, the power which drained at his core ebbed away quickly as Luca felt like a cloud had been lifted from him, the air returning to his lungs.

"I'm alright now, you can stop what you did," Rue announced as she got up slowly, although she looked far from it they were simply out of time to look for alternatives.

Luca supported her as she took her first unsteady steps before offering a deceptive smile. “Good luck out there. Please don’t fail either, I’d hate to be behemoth food,” Luca said as the bustling winds continued to whip furiously around them. He was beginning to doubt if Snow could even fly amidst these conditions, and a brief glance towards the struggling white bond was all he needed to confirm this.

Up ahead several bonds still fought the behemoth, Erin and Nemesis among them, exhibiting levels of bravery as high as any Luca had ever witnessed. A valiant effort which was ultimately doomed to failure, Luca thought grimly. Not that anything was wrong with their skills, but the behemoth was simply too vast, too large for a less than half a dozen bonds to handle effectively.

“I’ll help the others,” Luca stated, hating himself for not being able to do anything more.

As Rue found her stability, he stared in amazement as white flames began to lick the ground around her. Even from his position he could feel the chilling sensation of her raging power as her eyes glowed a brilliant white matched only by her hair. Erin slumped to the floor then leaving him little time for further admiration as Luca ran forwards to assist. Rue's brother was paralysed by the shocking pain of his bond as Luca lifted his arm over his shoulder and dragged him out of the immediate combat zone.

Nemesis gave a sharp bark of pain that Erin matched as the bond was just about crushed by the hit from the behemoth. He toppled over onto the ground, dirt picking up around him. He could hardly breath and he felt warm, coppery liquid in his mouth. Erin knew Nemesis was taking too much damage to keep going, he'd never bled in a fight before. After a moment he managed to get a choking cough out and blood spilled onto the ground. Though, as hard as he tried, he couldn't get back up to continue the fight.

"Don't push it, Erin," Nemesis growled, though his voice was panting as he spoke over their connection.

"I know..."

"We tried."

"I know..." Erin coughed again, his vision swimming as the earth underneath him seemed to move on its own. A strong grip took hold of his arm and he was pulled up over someone's shoulder. They proceeded to drag him away from the fight, leaving the behemoth to it's wild swinging. Erin tried to get free of the grip, but he couldn't move.

"Nemesis," he muttered, turning slightly to look over his shoulder. It was the only thing he could do, but instead of seeing the sleek black of Nemesis' fur, he saw the brilliant white of his sister facing the creature head on. His heart nearly stopped as he tried to muster as much strength as he could to go back to her.

"Let go," he ordered, though his voice was far from threatening, "Rue!" His breath sucked in as he watched her duck and narrowly miss the deadly blow that the beast tossed at her. If it hit her, she'd be dead in an instant. Her body was glowing white and the ground had turned to ice. One of the behemoths legs was already encased in the dry ice that was Snow's ability. Again she ducked as the creature tried to hit her, her body was nearly flat to the ground as the dry ice encased the other leg. The behemoth screamed in pain and rage, throwing itself backwards as it howled to the raging storm over head.

Rue stumbled to her feet and the glowing white that had encased her faded away. She started backwards to the group, her eyes carefully watching the creature as she was still in the danger zone. Erin could tell she was utterly spent as she stumbled and swayed on her feet. The behemoth came forward, its beady eyes locked on her and swung outwards with its fingers outstretched.

"Nemesis!" He shouted in fear, trying to get as much strength as he could back and send it to the wolf. A black streak alerted him to Nemesis' movement and he crashed into Rue, knocking her down to the ground to avoid the incoming hit. The wolf barely got down out of the way, the fingers brushing across his back and sending him sliding away from Rue for a mere moment. Erin's breath panted in and out of his lungs as he watched, too weak to do anything to get to either her or his bond. However, Nemesis was determined and his form rushed to her once more, his jaws locking on the back of her shirt and began dragging her to the group. Once he was there, Nemesis dropped down, huffing. He layed his head against Rue's shoulder, worry in his voice as he spoke to Erin.

"She used too much power, that and with her losing a lot of blood from the wound, she's unconscious now. Brave, I'll give her that, but stupid. Just like someone I know," Nemesis turned to look at Erin.

"Rue. But she's alright, right?"

The dire wolf nodded his head, "For now, but we can't stay here. She didn't do that for us to just sit and wait for the damn thing to break out. Lets get moving. Let Luca carry her, Aslan or Samuel can help you, Suren too if she can."

"Right," Erin turned to the group and repeated what his bond said. They weren't far from the flag. Finish climbing the hill and then down on the other side in the valley is where they should find it.

Luca M. Feygor

Luca was only vaguely listening to Erin as he informed the group of their position, his mind already thinking ahead. Realising as well that they weren’t far off from the flag, he felt a small sense of eagerness tug as his chest but was wary to fully entrust his hopes to it. The raging thunder storm still cast a foreboding image, darkening the path ahead of them and Luca had yet to see two of the students they started the class with.

He stepped closer to Rue and Nemesis and bent down to check over her, pressing his fingers gently against her wrist as he checked for her pulse. Rue was even paler than usual, and with her white hair falling loosely over her resting face she really did look like a sleeping beauty. Noting that her breathing was even, he exhaled a sigh, allowing the tension in his shoulders to ease.

The lithe form of Suren startled him as she approached then, her red hair seemingly matching the fiery nature of her hell hound. She suggested allowing her bond to carry Rue and Luca relented, reasoning the bond would at least provide a more stable platform. "Thanks," He offered the other student. Regardless of this, he kept stride next to the them to maintain a watchful eye on her.

'This is unusual behaviour from you.' Blue’s mental voice observed.

Luca frowned at this even though he agreed, 'You took your time.' He returned eventually, clearly avoiding the topic.

'I’m not a combat bond,' Blue responded and Luca could almost imagine the demon’s nonchalant shrug along with the comment, 'That’s your job.'

'Well be prepared, we're almost at the flag.' Luca warned.

"Don't worry, She'll be fine. Now, lets get the flag," Suren said to him, her bright eyes looking right into his. Erin gave her a small smile and allowed her to help him to his feet. One arm was draped over her shoulder as they started the climb up the hill. It wasn't long before the sound of the storming wind drowned out the cries of the stuck behemoth behind them. As they topped the hill, Erin covered his eyes with his arm to try to see down into the valley. The wind was whipping through the trees at an increasingly violent speed.

Dirt was being tossed up into the air and thrown around to create a kind of tornado like effect in the wilderness. It was hard to see through the ferocious storm, but Erin squinted his eyes and could barely make out an area that looked like it was calm beyond the storm. Raising an eyebrow he tried to figure out why that would be. Slowly, he started down the hill with Suren as his support. Next to them Rue lay unconscious across Kivuli and right next to her the tall boy whom she called Luca was watching over her intently.

"I think the boy is intrigued by her. Seem's like she's made quite the friend," Nemesis said as he slowly padded behind them. The wolf had a slight limp to his step as he walked, each time he stepped, there was a sharp pain through his leg and right across his side that also burned through Erin. He did his best to keep that from showing on his face as Suren held him up, but it was hard as they made their way down the slope.

Though it seemed like forever, they got down to the valley in no time and once there, the storm seemed to be at its strongest. Erin pulled Suren closer to him and turned her around so that he could shield her as best he could from the wind storm and the dirt that was being thrown around at high speeds. He could feel the sand cutting into his exposed skin as he stood there.

"I think... I think I see a bond on the other side," Erin called out, trying to get either Suren's or Luca's attention through the wind. Nemesis pushed forward, his head lowered and ears pulled back as he trod up as close as he could to the barrier.

"There is a bond there, I can sense them. You've got to be kidding me," Nemesis growled.

"What?"

"Who ever it is, they're doing this on purpose."

"Son of a ...." his curse word was lost to the wind as it took his breath. His eyes narrowed as he glared at the dirt wall of wind. Rue stirred slightly on Kivuli, her green eyes cracking open for a moment before shutting closed. She gave a groan and shifted on the hell hounds back to try to shield herself from the harsh storm. Erin walked with Suren crushed against his chest. He put his body between the wind and both the girls as he looked to Luca.

"Anyway you can get us in there?" He asked, tossing his head to the side, directing towards the only calm area that was being controlled by some bond on the other side. He was hopeful that Luca had the strength to do it, but if he didn't Erin was going to find a way. He didn't want to put Luca in danger if he hadn't regained enough strength.

"I can force my way in," Nemesis said, his voice filled with anger. The dire wolf was obviously pissed off that one of the students was doing this on purpose. Did they even realize how dangerous it was in the first place? Then to go and make things worse, Nemesis growled, baring his teeth and the hair all along his back stood once more, though he didn't transform.

"Hold that thought, furball. You're too injured to try something like that. Maybe Snow can shield us or something with her ice. All we need is just enough to get to the other side."

Nemesis looked over his shoulder at his human bond, then tipped his large head down in a short nod. Slowly, the wolf backed away from the wall and settled close to Kivuli.

Erin looked back to Luca, "If you can't, don't try to push it. I'll see if Snow's able to create a shield for us. All we need is long enough to get passed the wall and kick whoever's ass is on the other side," he said, his tone sharp and cold. Erin wasn't enjoying himself at all and if it weren't for his sister being in the most danger, he probably wouldn't have been so pissed off.

Aslan Portegar

Obviously, everything went down the drain with his burning plan because Suren's Bond was afraid of making it smell too much and attract unwanted attention. What in the hell could be attracted by burning Behemoth flesh? They already smelled like shit.

Aslan let go of the idea then looked over at Amalthea who hadn't moved from where she was because she only observed her Bond, Cerberus, biting down on the Behemoth with all three heads. Erin was caught in a tornado wind current that was moving fast toward Aslan and Amalthea. Rue was on the floor circled by Luca, Suren and two wolf Bonds. Chaos was the first and only word Aslan used to define the situation but things started getting on the bright side. With both Babur and Cerberus attacking the beast they were able to make it bleed enough for it to fall to the ground and no longer move.

The Behemoth was defeated, there was no use in killing it because it was apparently surrendering. Now Aslna had to get out of the wind current and try to find a way out, "Aubrey! Where are you!"

The wind was so strong that Aslan was deaf to all sound and blinded by the rising dust. He was only able to make out what Erin said, "If you can't, don't try to push it. I'll see if Snow's able to create a shield for us. All we need is long enough to get passed the wall and kick whoever's ass is on the other side."

"Then make it happen!" Shouted Aslan.

Luca M. Feygor

Luca could feel the wild wind buffeting against his body and restricting his movements as the group drew ever closer to their objective. When the air current grew violent, Luca began pacing in front of Kivuli and Rue in an attempt to act as a shield. The loud whistling caused by the air rushing past his ears was close to overwhelming at this stage. Yet ironically as they reached the end of the valley’s slope, the area looked peaceful on the other side, almost resembling the eye of a hurricane.

"Anyway you can get us in there?" Erin pitched with a low growl towards the center. In response Luca could only shrug at first. The winds were too strong to use any of his usual methods of teleportation. Any piece of paper he’d placed or attempt to fly would be consumed and lost to the chaotic storm in an instant.

"If you can't, don't try to push it. I'll see if Snow's able to create a shield for us. All we need is long enough to get passed the wall and kick whoever's ass is on the other side." Erin’s final sentence had a murderous edge to it as Luca saw impatience crawling into his features.

"Then make it happen!" Aslan screamed over the howling wind.

“I can manage, but energy isn’t the issue friend,” He said eventually. Luca pulled out his yellow notepad and thumbed over each page. The effect created a soft sound akin to rubbing something over sand paper, but more remarkable was that each page had a different drawing on it, “My bond’s ability has conditions. It requires me to swap positions with an inanimate object I’ve come into contact with before. Certainly I could get us across if we had something heavier to throw, but with my notepads and the survival tools they gave us, I don’t see that happening. Anything I’d place would be lost to the wind.”

Erin Tyryl

Aslan yelled over the wind to Erin, ordering him to 'make it happen'. Erin, however, only shot the boy a murderous glare. This was Snow he was talking about and Rue had already used up a lot of the birds energy earlier to save them from the behemoth. He bit back the acid reply and only turned to look at Luca who had began to reply to his earlier question.

“I can manage, but energy isn’t the issue friend, my bond’s ability has conditions. It requires me to swap positions with an inanimate object I’ve come into contact with before. Certainly I could get us across if we had something heavier to throw, but with my notepads and the survival tools they gave us, I don’t see that happening. Anything I’d place would be lost to the wind.”

His lips turned into a frown as he held Suren against him and tried to block as much of the gale force winds from his sister and her. He looked down at Snow who was perched up on top of Rue, huddled down against the girls back as they stood there. Snow looked up at him, cocking her pretty white head off to the side. Rue shifted again, coming awake once more. It was probably the wind that kept waking her even though she must have been dead tired.

"I can make it through," Nemesis said once more. Erin shook his head, disagreeing immediately with the wolf who heaved a heavy sigh and gave a slight glare at his human bond.

"If I could throw something over there, you can transport us right?" Erin confirmed, his voice shouting to be heard over the winds. His eyes searched the ground. Even a good sized rock would be enough to do that, but the winds were so strong Erin doubted that he could get it far enough in to make a difference. The last thing he wanted was for Luca to transport them to the strongest point of the winds and get them both killed. Softly, he cursed to himself as he couldn't see anything close to what he had in mind.

"Shit," he hugged Suren closer trying to figure out what to do. He really didn't want to have Snow use up any more energy to cast a shield large enough for them, but it was looking to be their only option. He glanced down at the bird again and she lifted herself up off of Rue's back and fluttered her wings lightly.

"You can probably take that as a 'yes'. She'll do what's needing to be done," Nemesis offered. Having been around Snow for so long, the bond had a way of communicating with her that Erin had never been able to understand.

"Snow, if you can't, don't. We'll find another way."

The bird narrowed her eyes and shook her head. Erin wasn't sure how many students she could shield, but he was going to guess it was only going to be the four of them. Meaning Luca, Rue, Suren and himself, bonds not included. With a flash of her white wings, she opened up and her body glowed a bright white, the dry ice of her power expanding into a shimmering blue bubble all around them. Once the bubble closed, the sound of the wind dropped tremendously and the air stilled inside. Erin took a deep breath and looked to their destination.

He let go of Suren and tapped Kivuli on her shoulder, careful of her flames, "Straight in Kivuli. Let's go crash the party, I've had quite enough of this," he said and started walking towards the center of the storm. The wind crashed against the shield and Erin kept a watchful eye on Snow who had her eyes closed as she concentrated. He didn't know how much longer she was going to last, but he hoped she could make it all the way in.

Halfway towards the calm, he could see Snow's shield shimmering as she struggled to keep it up. Erin tapped Kivuli's shoulder in urgency, trying to get her to move faster. He didn't know if it would help as Snow would probably have to concentrate harder, but at least it would be over sooner rather than later. They finally broke through to the other side just as Snow's icy bubble cracked and shattered. Shards of the shield shot passed them and Erin pulled Suren through the last portion of the wind storm, catching several pieces of the sharp ice across his arm and shoulder.

"You alright?" He asked her, eyeing her over to see if she was hurt anywhere, though she looked to be alright. Then he lifted his eyes to the large bond flying in the center of the area, guarding the flag. Seated up on the bond was a dark haired girl who seemed to be utterly enjoying herself. To which, Erin sent a cold stare. His jaw set firmly and he stepped around Suren to yell up to her.

"Hey! What the hell is this all about? You realize that this damn forest is dangerous enough without your meddling? Are you trying to kill us all?" he shouted up to her. Nemesis growled deeply, lowering his head as his fur bristled, ready for a fight. Erin felt the rush of adrenaline as he anticipated a long and very hard battle ahead of them.

Suren was making sure that everything was going alright with Kivuli, she had a tendency to hate water, and bubbles scared her. So, when Snow had created it, she said to her bond, "It's alright Kivuli. Just relax, think about getting Rue to safety." The bond nodded at her. When Erin told Kivuli to 'ccrash the party' as he said, the bond got excited. Her body heated up, but made sure to contain it, so not to burn the girl on her back. "Suren, marry this one, he has a good head on his shoulders." She said and Suren slightly smiled at her bond.

As they were walking, Erin held her close to him, probably to protect her, she didn't need protection, but it was comforting. She nejoyed being close to him, btu right now, they needed to focus on getting that flag. So, when they crossed the boundary, she made sure everything was alright. It was, save fro Rue still being out like a light.

That is when Suren noticed the giant Bond in the sky. It was obviously the cause of this storm, and the girl riding it seemed happy. "How the hell can she be happy at this?" She thought to herself, and Kivuli picked up on it, growling at the girl and Bond. Suren noticed her bond, and quickly took Rue off her back, adn started carrying her, so that Kivuli could get ready for the fight ahead.

Said bond quickly increased her flame, and it seemed to follow the bonds desire, creating a little danicng flame around her. She was angry at this bond for hurting Rue and Nemesis. Now, she was going to get hurt.

Suren turned to Erin, and said, "Watch out, when Kivuli gets mad, things tend to end up burned. She will not hurt any of us, but try to avoid her flames or get to close to her."

Maya's Story
Maya grinned as they got through Quetzal's storm wall, and dissipated it with a snap of her fingers, the night sky instantly calming. She then slid off of his back and began to walk on the air in front of her, 100 feet up in the air.
"So," she said, walking as if on a balance beam, "it took you all long enough. I was wondering when one of you would brave that thing." Still, you could just as easily walked underneath. It's wind and a little bit of rain, not a fire. The trees would have acted as a buffer against the winds, and you would have saved yourselves a great deal of hassle." She took one more step, and dropped from the air, Quetzalcoatl doing nothing to stop her rapid descent as she fell into the undergrowth, the sound of branches breaking resounding through the forest.

Walker's story
Walker dangled in a net up in the air, his bad luck having decided it as high time to make another appearance. He coughed, and swung a little bit. This was not one of his better moments, Brenna having run off to find help, or at least something sharp that wasn't currently stuck in his pocket.
"Hayley?" He asked to the area around him, as if that would conjure her out of thin air. "Maya? Anyone?"

The behemoth lay on the ground, sheets of ice covering some of it. Aubrey just gazed in wonder and fear... the school had put them in an extremely dangerous position, and yet the other students had brought it down working alongside their bonds. Many were hurt though; did the school know this would happen? Aubrey stood beside an uneasy Bren, biting her lip, brows creased. She's been utterly useless, not knowing how to fight at all and she couldn't even fly because of the dratted windstorm the other student had created. What was this supposed to teach them anyway?

"Aubrey! Where are you!"

The voice reached her ears over the sound of the wind and broke her thoughts. She turned in a circle, trying to locate Aslan and Babur. He and the others were trudging along again, seemingly knowing where the flag was. Bren nudged her stiff legs forward and the girl gave a sigh and followed, reaching Aslan and the others as they discussed how to get across to the flag where the student and bond creating the windstorm were.

Using the surprising powers of the graceful white phoenix again, they somehow got to the girl and she broke the spell. the sudden calm was almost disturbing, but Bren leading again, the pair made their way to them, watching the dark-haired girl walk through the air with her curious dragon.

Aubrey disliked her, and Bren churned the ground with a front talon in frustration as well. She'd been the sole creator of the dratted weather? Why would someone do that, knowing the dangers of the forest? the question passed between girl and griffin. Aubrey watched the others warily. The bonded of the phoenix was still unconscious and another girl and a few boys sported some nasty wounds. Aubrey leant against Bren's soft fur-feathered side and frowned at the flag poking form the ground.

"Now what?" she asked softly, not knowing if the others even heard her question.

Luca M. Feygor

As the group reached the clearing their sights were all immediately greeted by the twisted shadow of a dragon. Not a typical western lizard but one of a green eastern serpentine dragon instead. Riding on top of the bond was a young woman who grinned broadly as she spotted them, seemingly leering down at them. "It took you all long enough. I was wondering when one of you would brave that thing. Still, you could just as easily walked underneath. It's wind and a little bit of rain, not a fire. The trees would have acted as a buffer against the winds, and you would have saved yourselves a great deal of hassle."

He swivelled his gaze to glance quickly at the flag’s location then craned his neck back at the group. He could feel their barely contained rage boiling over as he stood beside them, certainly this was the case at least for Suren and her fiery hell hound.

Luca spat in the dirt as the unnatural storm around them died with a final stutter, disappearing as quickly as it had started. “That’s all you’re going to say to us?” He returned, his booming voice taking on an incredulous tone. He threw a pebble up at the dragon like an angry mobster but the rock veered off wildly into growing darkness, not even coming close to where the dragon floated up in the air.

"Now what?" Another girl asked as she stroked the feathers of her bond.

“We get the flag and go back obviously,” Luca replied before stepping towards the flagpole.

Maya's Story
The wind began to blow again, coming from where Maya had thrown herself into the forest, starting from a soft breeze to a raging gale, as Maya flew in on it's currents and grabbed the flag, swooping back into the air as she did so.
"You want the flag? Come and get it. I'll give you all a handicap and not stress Quetzal with another storm or have him do anything other than share our magic."

Walker's Story
Walker continued to swing back and forth, waiting for something to happen. As he swung there, he started singing his mother's song again, letting the music carry through the forest.

“We get the flag and go back obviously,” the dark-haired boy responded simply, stepping towards the flag. Aubrey watched him curiously, glancing at the sky. Other than the serpent-like dragon, there was nothing. No hovercrafts or any sign that they would be taken back to the school. What else to it could there be? Did they all have to be around it? Aubrey didn't know everyone and couldn't tell if they were missing someone or something.

But of course, the meddlesome girl appeared back from nowhere and grabbed the flag into the air as if taunting them. "You want the flag? Come and get it. I'll give you all a handicap and not stress Quetzal with another storm or have him do anything other than share our magic."

Aubrey's jaw set and her eyes seemed to shift to a lighter, icy tone. Quickly she leapt on Bren and they shot into the air, the gap between the flag and Aubrey closed in a matter of seconds, hovering before Maya. Bren grumbled a warning and Aubrey regarded the girl warily while keeping her bond in the corner of her eyes. She would ask nicely first, she decided. Aubrey wasn't one to start fights, though she had multiple ideas as she sized the other up.

"Why are you making things so difficult? You've had your fun, and now we've got people who should get to an infirmary," she tried to speak clearly, still worried for the white-haired girl.

Maya's Story
Maya once again let gravity do its thing, the gap between the flag and Aubrey widening in a manner of seconds, and then let the wind once again pick her up, sending her flying across the treetops at eye-watering speeds.
"You'll have to do better than thaaaaaaaaat!" She yelled as she weaved through the canopy with ease, dodging branches and stray birds. This was as natural to her as walking, having spent half her life in the rainforest flying around like there was no tomorrow. One person on the back of a griffin was going do as good a job at catching her that a paraplegic would have at doing the tango.
Quetzalcoatl staying the same spot in the air, watching the whole thing unfold underneath him. It wasn't that he was being lazy, he was just aware of what Maya was capable of, and she had specifically said she didn't want him stressing over using his powers too much. Even so, he WAS enjoying his view of current events.

Maya was somewhere beneath them in the forest and Quetzal's form was becoming closer and closer. Aubrey took a deep breath and relaxed against Bren, running her fingers through his neck feathers. Even after her self-disappointment with not helping with the Behemoth, she'd gotten the flag back, and they could leave soon, she hoped. She felt Bren tighten his grip on the flagpole, reassuring them both that they had it. Aubrey smiled warily and Bren left his wings out to soar, wobbling them a little to each side so that they almost bounced in the air, earning him a giggle from his rider.

Her enjoyment was cut short however, when the air around them changed. Aubrey sat up stiffly as Bren's amiable wobbles became uncontrollable as something rose up from beneath them. Aubrey looked down but couldn't see anything other than the flagpole in Bren's grasp until a split-second later when she felt the huge gust of wind throw them even higher through the air. Bren cawed as he felt the weight of his bond leave his back when she was thrown from him. He was pushed up into the air but it took only a few moments for him to right himself as he flapped crazily to turn in search of Aubrey. She went up, then down, tumbling through the air as she plummeted to the ground. A panicked shriek wrenched itself from her lungs as all she saw was blue with some brown-green flashes before she squeezed her eyes shut.

The griffin located her and dove in, beating his wings to be faster then her rate of falling. Her cry was cut into a gasp as Bren barreled into her and grabbed her with his talons as gently as he could and spread his wings and brought his upper body up in efforts to slow them as they were berated by leaves going through the tree canopy. Even so, Bren could not pull up from such a fall and they reached the ground quite quickly.

Landing on his hind legs, Bren pulled in his wings and twisted to his back. Aubrey was thrust from his grasp and propelled forward until she was stopped by slamming into the base of a tree. The wind knocked from her lungs and her head snapped back. She sat for a moment, finally gasping then coughing when she could breath again. Green-blue eyes opened suddenly, glazed and wet with the beginnings of tears, but landing gratefully on her bond who was already stumbling to his feet. He walked over to her, seemingly okay, and stuck his large head into her face and then around her body, checking to see that she was okay as well.

"Oh quit that and help me up," Aubrey croaked, leaning against Bren on legs that felt like jelly. She grit her jaw, leaning over to brush debris off herself and asses the damages. She was certainly alive, and it didn't feel like anything was broken, aside from the fact that her head swam and her vision was fuzzy, and her abdomen hurt. Some scratches and bruises already forming, but she ignored them as best as she could and turned to Bren, running her hands across his back and down his legs. Nothing more than a few deep cuts and bashing from the trees.

Aubrey sighed and buried her nose in his neck. "Better lay off the flying and walk for now, I s'pose." she mumbled, aware that they no longer were in possession of the dratted flag. Bren snorted and flicked her gently with his tail. "Or you walk, I ride. That works too."

She climbed onto his back with a groan, carefully avoiding putting pressure on his wings when he let them drape at his sides as he made his way back through the forest in the direction they'd come. Aubrey blessed his avian's sense of direction as they came out of the forest line into the valley ((am I right?)) and found the others where they'd been the whole time. (Which she supposed wasn't actually all that long.) She ducked her head, embarrassed that even after all that, she hadn't gotten the flag. She'd been so useless to the others this whole trip! She wasn't sure if she even wanted to tell the other students about her pathetic fall except that Bren chirruped at the sight of Babur and Aubrey could only hold on and sit still.

Luca M. Feygor

The sound of Maya’s mocking laughter howling over the winds was enough to stir a murderer from his deep slumber. Luca’s azure eyes glazed in a chilling instance, rolling over restlessly and focusing on his prey. ‘Blue, lend me your power,’ Luca demanded, gazing at the ominous shadow of his bond hiding within the forests.

His eyes attacked the demon’s spine with a wave of nausea. No rational, no sense, no order could reason with the boy now, ‘What are you going to do?’ Blue asked rhetorically, though the demon already knew the answer his own question.

A second pebble twisted between his fingers as the question made his chest heave with a venomous chuckle, the reverberation barely filtering out the sadistic malice bristling within. Complying with Luca’s wishes, Blue Horror teleported beneath the dragon, its magic congregating with a wave of its skeletal hands. The demon’s invisible magic wove its way skywards, spiralling in tendrils as it targeted the dragon’s eyesight and pain receptors, aiming to disable them. Then, a silent whistling followed as Luca’s pebble flew through the air only to be replaced by Luca’s dark form mid-flight. A single powerful thrust sent a knife hurtling towards the soft under tissue of the dragon bond before Luca vanished without a trace, reappearring where his first pebble had landed.

Get ready Blue. Luca warned, recovering his composure with deep breaths. It was a last resort but Luca was sick and tired of the games.

(OoC: Bad move, and he's not a dragon.)
Quetzal looked at Blue Horror, and smiled.
"How cute. Trying to use fear and parlor tricks on one revered as a god." He then plucked the knife out with his teeth. "I promised Maya I wouldn't get involved in this, but you leave me no choice." Quetzalcoatl then moved faster than one would think something that big could, and swang his tail hitting Blue with the force of a train. He then turned to face Luca.
"Your knife tickled. But I have some advice. When one is as old as human sacrifice, they learn what a blade feels like, and soon choose to ignore it. The mind also grows, and weak magic such as your Bond's loses it's strength. Make no doubt, he did some of his job, I am currently blind in my left eye, but he did little else. Also, you aimed for the wrong half of the Bond."
Walker then galloped up behind Luca in the air, Brenna's movements silent with nothing to truly tread on, and swung the "flag" on a stick he was carrying, aiming to hit his head.
{Luck, don't fail me now.} he thought as he swung.
