A young Klingon Chief Tactical Officer
Although Tumek is level headed and has a cool demeanor, he tends to raise his voice when giving orders, taking advantage of his large size and booming voice to get things done (one of the contributing factors in his recent promotion to his high rank). His extensive time with the Federation culture has allowed him to appreciate humor when his own people would not, yet he still clings (no pun intended) to the Klingon value of honor and being a strong warrior. Often he finds himself slightly homesick due to his visits home being very few and very far in between.
Because he fears being caught in a situation where he is not prepared, the Lieutenant Commander always carries his Klingon phaser, a long knife, and his tricorder.
Tumek grew up as a regular Klingon child on Qo'noS. He enjoyed the rough games his friends played and learned about the honor of battle from his father, who was the esteemed captain of a prestigious Klingon battlecruiser. Tumek would stare into the sky with envy, desiring the freedom of interstellar travel. However, by the end of the Federation's war with the Dominion, the Klingon fleet had been all but abolished. Tumek's dreams seemed unreachable, but when a small Starfleet supply ship stopped at a spaceport on his home planet, he seized the opportunity and snuck aboard. Upon arrival at the Starfleet base on Earth, he immediately enrolled into the Academy, where he passed all of his passes with flying colors. Tumek went on to serve on a variety of Galaxy-class starships. He slowly climbed up the ladder and was finally promoted to Chief Tactical Officer and transferred to the USS Pandora.
