Lake was getting a bit uncomfortable around th mysterious guy, so she hurried up the stairs. She wasn't going to tell anyone about that place. She felt like she needed to keep it a secret. She opened the door, and she came back into the library closet, putting the rack against the door, making sure it was covered up.

She went back into the library, and she got her textbooks before going into the hall, and she saw her best friend, Jared, was calling her name, and she approached him and Hailey.

"Hey," Lake said, but she didn't smile like usual. She was still distracted by the thoughts of the boy she saw in that strange place.

Lake nodded, and she walked to class with Jared. She looked up at him as they were walking. Lake liked Jared as more than a friend, but she was sure he didn't like her, so she never told him how she felt, and she didn't plan on telling him ever. As she was looking at him, she wasn't paying attention to where she was going, and she ran into the wall, falling backwards on the ground. She let out a small laugh at her clumsiness. She wasn't even really hurt, nor was she embarrassed. She found the whole situation amusing.

Jared jumped a little when he heard her fall and he laughed as well, bending down to help her up then picking up her stuff. "Good one clumsy." He said with a laugh as he looked at her. "You ok?" He still had a smile on his face. It was like he always had a smile on his face when he was around her, except when she was upset, then he looked ready to murder whoever upset her. He really liked Lake. She was sweet, pretty, and fun to be around. He wanted so badly to tell her his feelings but he just couldn't, he thought she didn't like him like that and he didn't want to disrupt their friendship, it was better than nothing.

Lake smiled up at him, "I'm fine." Him helping her up and worrying about if she was okay made her heart flutter. She didn't know how much longer she could keep it a secret that she liked him. She wondered what his reaction would be. Would he be grossed out, and avoid her? Would he tell her he liked her back? She doubted he liked her, she actually thought he liked Hailey instead.

She took her textbooks from him with a smile, "Thanks for picking these up," she gave him a quick hug in thanks, and began walking towards class, a blush making its way to her cheeks after she had hugged him.
