Art school; just the name of it excites me! I will follow my dreams, earn a reputation for my work, and most of all become the person I long to be. My name is Franny Miller, I'm just a shy story writer who has never had many friends and dreams of romance. Most would describe me as a loner with my lack of friends and my extended time alone, But enough about me. This is art school!!! i'm not the type to yell but i'm screaming this in my head!

Introduction to Fanny:
Image

"will you be ok here?" her dad asks
"don't worry. It will be different here." she says
her father nods.
She walks onto the campus grounds taking in everything. The Air is fresh, the grass is green, the building gives her chills of excitement. She looks at her schedule, sighs and looks around again. classes start tomorrow so she feels best to go to the girls dorm and settle in. Franny and her father head to the campus dorm to unpack. Franny is ready to start her new life.

Danielle lightly moved her bangs aside with the side of her hand. The campus was what she remembered it to be a couple months ago when she visited. A small smile appeared on her face as she headed toward the girls' dorms. It was move-in day.

Once Danielle found the room she was to share with two others, she slid the key into the lock. There was a moment of hesitation. She did not know who she was sharing a dorm with, so she was a little nervous to find out if anyone had arrived there before her. With a small sigh, she twisted the handle and opened the door.

Franny was already sitting on her bed reading, relaxing from the long drive. In her head she understood that the girls she would be sharing this room with might not be different from the ones in high school. To distract herself from her worries she would read to her hearts content. Today she was reading "to kill a mocking bird" the book that most teens from her high school described as slow and boring. Would people in college feel differently toward the book? A true classic she thought it was. She read on distracting herself from her worries, unaware that one of her new room mates was about to enter.

Duncan hopped out of the car and smiled up at the dorm building. It was just as nice as it had been weeks ago when he had visited on orientation day. He looked over at his best friend, Eric who had taken the drive with him and would help him to bring his things inside. The two males went inside the large dorm building and Duncan got his room assignment. The two then went back out and got the first round of Duncan's things and headed up to the room. It was empty, so Duncan thought that he was the first to arrive. He was excited to meet his new roommates and couldn't wait until they all got there. It took his three trips, himself and Eric, to get all of his things inside his new dorm room. Once they were done, Duncan said goodbye to his best mate and he began unpacking his things. He had a few paintings, his favorites, that he had painted and he hung them up around his bed. He sat at the desk by the window and brought out his sketchbook. He lifted the blinds so that he could get a clear view. He then went on to draw any and everything that he saw out the window.

Danielle walked into the room with only her purse on her arm. She stopped as soon as she took the first step in. It appeared that one of her roommates had arrived before her. "Oh, hi. My name is Danielle. I assume you are one of my roommates?" She looked the girl over. That's a girl? Danielle kept the thought to herself. She didn't want to offend the person she'd have to live with on her first day. Maybe living with me isn't such a bad thing. Perhaps I can show her how to make herself look more feminine.

Danielle put her bag on a small table off to the side. She glanced around the room. "It was a pleasure to meet you. I have some things I need to take care of." She left her purse on the table, but took her key with her as she left the dorm room. I guess I better get my stuff. Since the other girl doesn't seem to be too girly, she might not have too much stuff. Danielle headed for the parking lot to start unpacking her car.

Suddenly she heard the door open. In walked a girl who reminded her of a certain girl named Mini; with her blonde hair and blue eyes. she walked in with her purse and stopped when she made eye contact with fanny.
"oh, hi. My name is Danielle." it suppressed her that this girl was so polite. The encounter happened so fast, before she could say a word danielle added "i assume your one of my roommates?"
Fanny might have said something then but Daniella eyes looked fanny over on one condescending look, her mouth opened then closed.
then Danielle looked away and said "it was a pleasure to meet you. I have some things to take care of"
when her new roommate left fanny's heart sank. somehow she hoped for better, then again she couldn't have gotten any worse. this girl was an angel compared to Mini.

Scarlett sat at the steps of the school looking at her phone, Be safe and call me when you get there. She looked at the text and sighed. Slipping her phone into her pocket, she lifted to her feet and picked up three suitcases that didn't match. Turning to the front door, it swung open and a blonde girl walked past. Her eyes followed her but her attention shot back once the door began to close. Dashing in, she pushed her way through and popped out the other side. The school looked bigger from the inside and everything was busy and crammed. It was the start of a new year.

Setting her luggage down, she took a slip of paper out of her pocket and read it to herself. On it was the list of her classes and the room she was assigned to. Folding the paper again, she stuffed it into the back pocket of her jeans and continued on. There were so many students and they all appeared to know each other, laughing and having so much fun. She almost seemed out of place, which only caused her to skate through the halls faster. Once making it to her room, a slight sigh of relief left her lips as pressed her head against the door. She slowly turned the knob.

Opening the room a smaller girl was already settled in on her bed. "Oh, um.. Hello!" Closing the door behind her, she walked to the only bed that hasn't been claimed. "You must have meet our other roommate.. How is she?" Scarlett had only assumed since the bag left on the small table didn't seem like the girl's style. She forgot to add, "I'm Scarlett, you are?" She didn't want to be asking her to much questions, something she always did once meeting new people. Picking her bag, she placed them on her bed and opened one of them up. It was all her art supplies she needed.

Adam sat in the library for the past four hours, waiting for the crowd of people to die down outside. It almost seemed like this place was never used, dust everywhere and no soul in site. The History of Life, the book haunted him. It was at the table once he arrived, tore and wrecked. Pulling it toward him, he opened to the title page and found no author was the book appointed to. Closing it back up, he lifted from her chair and walked to where the librarian was suppose to be. No one there. Shrugging, he walked back to the table and picked up each book that was there.

Writing a note for the librarian, he slipped the books into his leather satchel and walked out. Small lines of students walked, it cleared out. At first, it was almost impossible to push through the crowd. He took out a paper that he had written for himself, a sketched map of the school and the number of his room. Once a small group of girls past him, he made his way to the hall that was connected to the dorms. Walking down it, he created a mental route on which to take once his classes started. "Room 304 to 307 to A4" He mumbled to himself while glancing inside each one.

Taking it all into consideration, he finally made it to the room he was staying in. Pressing his ear against the door, listened to see if anyone was inside. The faint noise of pencil pressing paper and erase swipes ringed. Slowly opening the door, he saw a boy sat by the window, sketching. Adam smiled, as he slipped into the room and to the bed he called for himself. "I see you got here before everyone else." He didn't intend to scare the boy but would get a kick out of it if he did. Throwing the satchel onto his bed, he flopped next to it and looked at the ceiling above.

Duncan sat at the table and sketched out everything that he could see from his window view. It only took a few short minutes before he had a pretty detailed drawing going. All he had to do now was the shading, he was so concentrated on what he was doing that he didn't notice when someone came inside the room. He didn't jump when he heard a young male's voice, but he did end up drawing a straight line straight across the page. "Yeah. I was enjoying the quiet." He mumbled as he ripped out the page and balled up the sheet of paper. He then tossed it in the waste basket next to the desk. He got up from his seat at the desk and turned around, finally getting a good look at the male. He looked him up and down and took in his image. In only a few short seconds he could tell what kind of person he was, someone that Duncan didn't want to be living with for the next four years. But he wasn't one to be rude to someone without getting to know them first. He let out a sigh and walked over to him, extending his hand to shake. "I'm Duncan, nice to finally meet my roommate." He said smiling at the guy, a genuine smile.

Adam lifted his head a bit and looked at Duncan, chucking to himself, "I know when I'm not welcomed, no need to hide behind a fake smile." He pulled himself up and looked around the room, "Don't worry. It's my last year here." Leaping to his feet, Adam gripped Duncan's hand and shook it sharply. "Nice to meet you." Letting his hand go, he turned his back to him, and tossed through his bag. Taking out the books he "checked out", he claimed the small night table nearest to his bed. The room was simple, plain, something he assumed his roommate would take a liking to. Crossing his arms, he faced Duncan with a realization of common courtesy.

"Adam, Adam Berkshire. And sorry about that." Tilting his head toward the waste bin, he released his arms from the knot. Stepping to the trash he pulled out the waded paper. Unfolding it, his eyes widened a bit, "Amazing.. Now I feel horrible for ruining it." A frown followed as he folded the paper and slipped it into his pocket. "I bet you're sick of people telling you this, but your art is amazing. I can't imagine how magnificent a finished piece would look like." Adam was aware of his rambling, and he knew by now Duncan was tired of it. It was now up to him, "So, what's your story?" Ah! an Idea popped into his head but he motioned Duncan to continue talking.

Taking out a 9" x 12" sketchbook from his satchel, he pulled out the paper from his pocket and slipped it into the first page. Taking out a pencil, he labeled it and closed it.

The other girl came in just as fast, claiming the unclaimed bed and introduced herself. though she was not being overwhelmed with questions she still half yelled her reply startled.
"Fanny!" she paused took a breath and continued "The other girl seems... nice."
knowing it was rude to read when someone was talking to her she closed her book and sat up.
"um... i didn't really get to talk to her. She came and left so fast. nice to meet you scarlett"

OOC:
Is it Fanny or Franny?

Scarlett smiled and pulled out a large disassembled easel stand from her suitcase, "I hope you don't mind if I set my a small workshop in the corner of the room." Following after, she pulled out medium sizes boxes of different paint, watercolor, latex, acrylic, and more. There was a small desk that has only four drawers, she occupied one. "The other girl seems... nice." Scarlett noticed the hesitation in her voice, "Do you mean, you hope she's nice?" she laughed and closed the drawer with her foot. Looking up at the Fanny she tilted her head, "You have an interesting face structure."

In Scar's eyes, it was beautiful and unique, she hoped Fanny didn't take it the other way. Suddenly she looked surprised, like she found an answer, "You could help me with something later!" She pulled her other suitcase and opened it, it was filled with blank canvases of all sizes. On top rested a unfinished portrait of a girl without a face. Taking it out, Scar should Fanny, "If you don't mind, maybe you can be the model to help me finish this painting. Of course if you don't want to, I can always just find someone else." Scarlett learned the hard way that not everyone likes to be painted, it like a photo.

The request caught fanny by surprise. She was relieved that this girl seemed so friendly. The request slowly sank in, she realized that she should respond and not be so rude.
"I wouldn't mind at all! just tell me what to do." fanny smiled with strait teeth.
This was just what she was hoping for, a new friend to talk to. A new friend other than her books that she could hide in.
"I think most people would say i look like a boy..." she paused. "Though maybe if i grew my hair out they wouldn't. I really like short hair though."
She realized she was talking to much...
"I would love to see your artwork" she finished adding a smile as her grand finally.
She really didn't know she looked most flattering when she smiled
