Introduction
But not everyone agreed with them. The "Norms" of society stood out, protesting that they didn't want their innocent children fouled by these vampires, spirits, witches, demons and remaining otherworldly "abominations." So it was Vladamir Poe who was the first to suggest that all supernatural beings mature enough to enter a college atmosphere should have the right to learn. Not only about the tedious academia courses, the algebra, the trigonometry, the english, the speech, but also learn more about their skills.
Abrupt to the protests and lynches of future students, Mr. Poe opened the Broken Chains University to help these creatures defend themselves from the public that hated them so much. From that day forward, every being with a talent misconstrued as a curse was asked to join. Expenses covered by the many governments that just wanted their "problems" locked away from the Norms, food catered to everyone's specific liking, security to try and cut down on the natural riff raff that would occur withing the walls of the establishment. Everything seems so simple and easy, correct?
Having so much power in one area is never easy, nor simple. If it wasn't the students that would try to kill each other it would be the many, many saboteurs, assassins, and vigilantes that sneak into the University to "expunge the buildings of the impure." So, that's the way it's been. After Vladamir, a vampiric spirits himself, was killed by a brilliantly concocted ruse formulated by the norms, the school went into recession, keeping out anybody who might harm the students, but also leaving the talented out in the world, loose with their powers too untamed to control.
It's only recently the doors have opened, shrouded with mystery, a new Headmaster, new teachers, new classes and a completely institutionalized and revamped college experience. So, will your creature be accepted? What does this new school have in stock? Will it be better than before, or simply another ruse, doomed to fail like before?

She grimaced, deciding that she would much rather be somewhere else. She grabbed the first book that she saw, an encyclopedia of flowers as well as a hoodie. She might as well learn how to read in some quiet. She wouldn't be able to avoid the storm if she wanted to make it to the library. She just hoped that it wouldn't be too bad as it seemed up here. She took a few deep breaths, trying to pump herself up. She could do it, there was nothing with a storm, right? It couldn't kill you, right?
Morbid thoughts popped into her head, each one dipicting a different way to die in a storm, several of them realistic. She sighed and walked out of her door before she could talk herself out of it, taking the elevator down to the first floor. She pulled the hoodie on, hiding the book under it, on top of her waist. She watched the outside storm down, making her shudder. She sighed, opened the door, and took a run for it.
The rain pounded on her head, making her feel weaker than she would have liked to admit. Everytime it thundered or lightening struck, she jumped. But the library wasn't far from here. She just looked down at her shoe, trying to ignore the storm, clutching the book.
A rather loud boom of thunder went of that sounded closer to her likes. Just as that happened, she collided with another body, making her scream. She fell to the ground, the book sliding from her waist. She looked up and saw Jinx, having collided into him. She scrambled for her book, picking it up and giving him a weak smile.
"Sorry about that, do you know where the library is?" She asked hastily, uncomfortable to be in the storm. She looked down at her soaked book and frowned, the thing soaking wet. "Or better yet, wanna go to the bar or something, this is probably bbeyond reading until it dries out." She said, grabbing his arm before he had a chance to answer and walking off in a random direction. She wanted out of this storm and she was not going to wait from an answer from Jinx. When they got someplace warm and not so stormy maybe she would have the chance to ask him why he was so sad before.

The dreamscape now was just as real as it was before. He stood up from his bed and stumbled about, almost in a drunk fashion but completely disoriented. In his mind, his eyes started casting a cavalcade of corruption. A myriad of memories. They swirled around him. Inaudible screams, taunts, angry cries from mothers and fathers condemning him to hell. The angry faces, the sadness, the looks of dismay and horror were floating around him as the screams started to become deafening. Teryl screamed and picked up the end table next to him, about to throw when a glow started to silence the madness. He looked through his helmet at the figure in the distance and dropped the furniture piece, hearing a leg on it crack. The soothing voice was familiar and he walked towards it. It started a whisper and slowly transformed into a sweet melody that was being sung...a familiar melody.
The closer he got the presence, the warmer her felt. The light was blinding, but he needed to be near it, to hear her voice once more, to feel her compassion again. He arrived to see a pale woman sitting on a stone bench, playing a miniature harp and singing along with the finger picks. She had blue eyes and auburn hair, freckles scattered across her cheek and a smile as she looked at him.
"Myriam..." he whispered. The closer he got towards her, the slower the song was being played and the joyous look on her face twisted into anger and disgust. She stopped playing and began to walk away, "Never dismay he me with your presence again you fallen behemoth..." the voice spoke as she continued to walk away, gliding into the air.
"N-No..." he whispered and began to run, trying to chase her, stay with her...touch her.
"I release you..." she spoke, giving one more disgusted look as Teryl was ripped from his dream.
Teryl had wandered towards the balcony and had fallen over the side trying to chase the woman. He woke up mid way down, unsure on where he was or what was going on. He finally realized what had happened as he slammed into the cobblestone below, snapping the stone in twain and shooting pain all over his body. The sound of the heavy rain and thunder drown out the sound of the collision and his painful yell. He grunted and groaned, unable to move at the moment and just heard the pitter patter of rain on his metal. He looked up at the sky through his slotted eyes as the combination of rain water mixed with the newly formed tears in his eyes. "Myriam..." (Moved to Campus Overview)

"sorry for dragging you off to the middle of nowhere, I just didn't wanna stay in the storm too long, they freak me out I guess." She told him with a small shrug, trying to squeeze the water out of her hair. "But anyways, you don't have to stay if you don't wanna but the compagny would always be nice." She told him with a nice grin before she picked the sweater and book and as she made her way to the steps, making her way to the stage. "So, what's the tragic story of the wizard Jinx?" She called out to him, making her way down the steps. "I mean, I guess we all have one or else we wouldn't be here, it doesn't help that you looked incredibly sad all day. I may be a demon but I still understand the human spectrum of emotion." She joked with her, finally making it to the bottom. She sat crossed legged on the stage, looking out on the expence of the building.
She motioned for Jinx to come down and patted the floor beside her. "I mean, there's no need to spill all the secrets at first glance, but hey. If you wanna talk I'm cool with it, it just looks like it would be nice to take whatevers on your shoulders off of them." She told him with a small shrug and a smile.

He heard her question and winced as everything caught up to him, “All wizards are tragic beings…” he muttered. He shook his head before the tears came, “…You remember when you asked me if a spirit Wizard could teleport right?” he asked her calmly as he waited for her to answer shifting on his feet as he clasped his necklace tightly.

She fiddled with the vial of seeds around her neck, string holding it together. She took it off and poured a single seed out of it, dropping it within the palm of her hand as she started to fiddle with it. She cuped her hands together so that it was laying in her palm. She smiled slightly as she offered life to the seed, smiling up at Jinx. It only took a few seconds for it to flourish in her hand and she she uncuped her hands, a small daisy was in her hand. She handed it to Jinx, offering him friendships and hopefully trying to console him a bit. "Continue." She told him with a smile.

He saw her make a plant grow and had a look of awe, “that is impressive.” He told her with a faint smile as he took the daisy gently. He shook his head at the teleporting when flirting with a girl, “not to many girls my age where I came from, there were some but most were taken.” He explained before he continued. “I also wasn’t the one who did the spell… that was Master Godwin.” He told her with a sigh. He shook his head, “He and I were… trapped and he teleported me here to save me…” he muttered as he remembered the cackling of the fire. “I can’t teleport, at least not without help and a whole lot of Mana.” He muttered.
“Master Godwin had taken care of me since I was ten and taught me most of what I know. He and I helped the village we lived in, not openly of course. They repaid us today by setting our home ablaze making sure all the exits were set aflame first, and all I could do was hold up a flimsy barrier.” He muttered ashamed at himself. “I still hear their anger, their screams, calling us demon spawns and servants of the dark one… all the while the flames cackle and the smoke slowly chokes us.” He explained to her as he paused as his eyes grew a bit unfocused. “I ran out of most my Mana, I had poured everything into it… he took my hand and smiled at me as he dragged me closer. When I saw he placed me in a magic Circle… I thought… I thought it was a barrier for me to survive in, but then I saw it was to intricate for that and remembered his books and the print on his desk showing a circle for teleportation… I begged him not too, but he didn’t listen…” Again he paused as tears fell from his eyes, “The last thing I heard was him screaming in pain as the fire consumed him...” he whispered softly.
“I do not know how they found out we were Wizards. I told no one and he hardly left the house.” He told her. He hadn’t meant to tell everything to her, but it all just poured out like the rain was doing outside. “As they say no good deed goes unpunished…” he muttered as he looked at his burned hand and arm. “Please… do not tell the others… I will tell them in due time if it comes to that, but I wish to tell them on my time, when I feel the time is right.” He explained to her as he looked down his voice formal again, yet sad as well. His shoulders shook slightly as grief and coursed through him, he kept it under control, but just barely. “sorry… I probably shouldn’t have burdened you with my story.” He told her as a way of apologies and gave her a slight bow.

She sensed the shame and grief in his voice, as much as she hated serious conversations she knew that he had to get it off his chest. She soon found out the rest of his story, how his master had teleported him, giving up his own life to save another. It was heroic in all sences of the word and that was a human Daisy probably would have been proud of to meet. "Don't worry, I guess it must feel a bit better talking about it. And my lips are sealed, don't worry about it." She told him with a comforting smile and a small shrug. "And your Master Godwin seemed like quite the man, you must be proud to have had him as a Master. Think about that, not the last memory you've had of him, burning. No one wants to be remembered like that. But remember what he did for you and don't ever forget it. I'm not the best with human emotion but that's the strongest love I've ever heard of here yet. So don't be too sad, celebrate his life, it's what we do in the demon world." She told him with a small smile, trying to help his grief.
"And he didn't go out in vain, he's probably up in Heaven right now, you know. From what you've said about him, it doesn't seem too much like he would end up where I come from, if that makes you feel any better." She told him, her eyes scanning around the room once more, wondering how Jinx really was feeling about it. She had never had anyone give up their life for hers, in fact, it was a humorous thought.

The metal plates suddenly began to shake and shimmer. He closed his eyes as the plates began to shake more violently and the quiet light was turning into blinding white light. He was soon engulfed in a soothing, radiant light that started to reconnect the broken bones. Water that hit his steel were now sizzling and evaporating. It was turning scalding hot as the area around him started to hiss with the combination of rain water and heat. Just as soon as it erupted, it diminished, leaving a freshly healed angel.
Teryl sat up, but still felt pain. The heal only fixed his broken limbs, not the pain that will continue. The metallic thuds of the rain were heard again, giving him the motivation to stand up. He had a limb in his leg and began to try and walk into the campus, looking at the different buildings. This place was like a small town. It was so big and had everything easily sustain a small group of townsfolk. He still hasn't seen any preexisting students, making him wonder if the five of them were the only ones there. Maybe the storm was keeping everyone inside or in classes. Who knows? All Teryl wanted was something to do to drive the loneliness and boredom away.

When he heard that he was up in heaven he shook his head, “I do not believe in Heaven… or God or religion. I have my faith in Magic, which is suffice for me. Master Godwin also did not believe in a Heaven, we found our Faith in Magic… He believed in doing what was right in this world.” He told her with a faint smirk, “I meet an Angel and a Demon and I am still agnostic.” He told her with a grin and a shrug. “I just don’t like that if you don’t believe in God and are a good person you go to Hell, but if you are a murderer and apologize for it and say you now believe in God you go to heaven.” He explained.

Daisy laughed at his Angel and Demon comment, finding it amusing. "Well, everyone has their own belief, you believing in magic doesn't make you wrong. I mean, that exists too so your faith is completely valid. "And just to make sure, people who don't believe in God still end up in Heaven, murderers don't. I mean, it depends on how good of a person you are, everyone has validation for everything, right. I mean, it's not me who does it but there's a place for everyone." She told him with a small wink before standing up and wringing her hair. The storm was still strong outside, she could hear the faint sound of thunder every once and a while which made her jump slightly. As soon as the storm was over she would be safe to go to her room or the library and try to concentrate on her book, try and learn to read.
"And how did you happen to get that name of yours? Jinx, seems a bit unlucky, no?" She asked him, not one to want to judge names considering her real one but was sincerly curious. Was that his real name? Was there significance behind it? "If you don't mind me picking at your life." She told him with a small laugh, striding around the large stage, looking around at everything. It was a nice place.

It had been a few silent minutes since Elly had said something and Jules was already ordering his second round. “And.... how was your first time?” After a couple of seconds he blushed and added.
“Y..Your powers! I mean your powers.”

“Hmm how did I get my name?” he asked. “…I was born with it… not the type of name I would give a kid.” He sighed, “It is an unlucky name, but it originally meant Magic charm, maybe I was named ‘Jinx’ because of the marking on my hand…” he muttered as he rubbed the back of his left hand lightly. On it was an odd marking, almost a magic symbol…. “Do not know what it means, all my Master and I could theorize is that it is an ancient magic symbol… we don’t know what purpose it serves.” He commented.

At the realization Ellais face started to turn pink, she didn't know what she should say now. A few silent minutes passed in awkward silence before Jules asked her how her first time had been. At that her face turned scarlet. She had never had...oh oh wait! He meant her power. She couldn't help let out a sigh of relief. The pina colada she had ordered arrived right then. Ellais wrapped her purple lips around the straw and took a big sip, thinking about how to answer.
She finally returned her gaze to Jules once more, saying in her husky voice. “The first time I used my powers, I almost killed someone...it was painful...but it felt good.” She was ashamed of that fact, but it was true. “I had finally stood up for myself and fought back against that bitch...but what I did to her she didn't deserve. I almost killed her. Just by saying Exuro...” Her hands suddenly caught on fire, and she winced in pain. She quickly pressed the firey hands against her soaked clothes, snuffing out the flames. “I caught her coat on fire. I remember she took off the coat, and then...then I ran, my hands still on fire...” Ellais finished, looking at her burned hands. “You are lucky you know...your power may have some good uses...mine...mine can just burn. I hope I can find something usefull for my power, but so far...well I don't know if that will be possible." She returned to drinking her pina colada, trying to ignore the throbbing pain.

The next door was promising due to the noise inside and the lights shining through the veiled windows. He sighed and twisted the knob, thanking his God that it was unlocked. He walked inside with the smell of alcohol and the sound of laughter all around him. He seemed to stumble towards the bar and looked around his slotted helmet for a open spot. He noticed some students he hadn't seen before, denying the thought he had before of the four being the only ones there and Jules and Ellais at the bar. Due to his pain and nightmare, he didn't want to damper on their good time or mess up their little "date." He found a table in the corner and walked over, quickly flapping his wings to dry them off and sitting down.
The cloak he had on was drenched, showing every jagged and smooth terrain of his armor beneath it. He found no use to having the hook up and pulled it off, showing the full extent of his glimmering, disturbing armor. Beneath the hook was a jagged face plate with a thin strip for him to look through and multiple slots where he could enjoy drinks from. Atop of his head was a crown of thorns that dug into the suit of armor and runic, angelic symbols scattered across the cheeks and shoulder blades. He sat there, shaking off his armor to try and get as much rain out of it as possible. It was about that time when a waitress walked over.
"Can I get you something?" she asked, confused on why he was wearing armor in a relaxed environment.
Teryl looked up at her and shook his head, "Nothing." he spoke coldly.
"Sir, you might want to take your armor off. You don't need it for a place like this," she said in somewhat of a snippy attitude.
Teryl raised his gauntlet and put it in front of her face, "If you can take it off, I'd gladly relax, without metal."
The woman scoffed and took it as a challenge, grabbing the gauntlet and pulling hard. Teryl was moving a bit from her tugging and grunting, trying to rip it off. The waitress was determined to remove it and he could soon feel a clench at his armor. She pulled, this time much harder, at the glove, almost pulling the angel to his feet. Teryl knew exactly what her power was, she seemed much stronger than she actually was. But no matter how much she yanked and pulled, the glove wouldn't come off. It wasn't until she pull hard and slipped backwards due to the combination of water on the glove and on the floor. She fell back, landing on a table Teryl now on his feet, looking at her through his eye slots.
"I take it I can leave it on then?" he asked and sat down, feeling his joints loosened from the empowered woman yanks.

"I am done." Naidis stated simply, not covering her voice. It floated out with musical seduction. The eyes of her tutor suddenly glazed over and his expression softened. Naidis hated that expression. It brought too many bad memories with it. But changing her voice, stripping it of its purpose, was painful. And she had enough for the day.
"Very well, my dear. Stay a while and chat with me." He offered, sitting down in his plain wooden chair.
Naidis played with a lock of her strawberry red curled hair as she grabbed her bag. "No. That won't be necessary." Her throat was healing, now that she was no longer destroying it. Even though she wanted to. She longed to have normal conversation with people without becoming concerned they would forget to care for themselves, wracked to madness with want to hear her speak. Or sing. Naidis walked slowly, lest she trip, over to her elderly tutor and gently plugged his ear with the odd plug made of beeswax. Slowly, his face returned to its normal expression.
"Thank you." He smiled at her with respectful admiration. "You are truly a remarkable Siren. I have never had the good fortune to meet one actually willing to preserve life. Insistent, even."
"There are plenty of remarkable beings at this school." Naidis said passively, refusing to view herself as superior to anyone. She saw them in the hallways on a daily basis. Angels, Vampires, Witches... They were all wonderful beings with wonderful gifts. "I am going to my room now to rest. I will see you next week." Naidis fare-welled and then left the tiny old room.

"I'm sorry, I can think of where I've seen that before, I'm sure it was in an inscription before with a whole bunch of different markings about ancient magic gunk." She pursed her lips and shrugged. "I was never really that interested in magic as a child." She told him, she had never thought that it would be important to know about it. She smiled sheepishly, hoping that he wouldn't be too upset over it. She peeked behind the curtains once more and smiled at all of the things, regardless of her suspicion of the school, it was incredibly nice and well-funded. Maybe it would be nice to stay here for a bit, have a place to call her own. She had yet to really experience what a home felt like, growing up definitely wasn't that and when she got exiled, the florist was nice but it wasn't a place she could call a home. Maybe this school would prove to her that a home could exist, that there was a place for her. It would be nice to know that she belonged somewhere, because she obviously didn't belong anywhere else. Hell kicked her out and humanity loathed her, confining her with violence to a school; she didn't know what it was to belong.
"You know, this school might not be a bad place, it might be nice to stay here for a bit. I mean, time isn't that significant for people like this, isn't it?" She told him, assuming that everyone was the same age of her or at least had the means to live for much longer than just an average human, they were above the norm, their lifespan was too in her opinion. "I mean, how old are you? How long have you actually managed to live?" She wondered, assuming he was rather old; he was upset about his father figure passing away but she had yet to see him cry over it. Which led her to believe that he had seen death before. "I mean, I've spent around a hundred years on Earth, I can spend a few dozen here, it won't bother me. I guess we have nowhere else to go, right?" She told him with a small shrug, looking up at the closed door, wondering if the weather had died down. She could hear rain pelting down at the door, something she didn't mind much, rain made her happy, it was the thunder and lightening that bothered her. But it had been a while that she had heard any, which made her happy at the prospect of the storm ending; they were just so destructive. "So, I was wondering, after the storm finishes out there, wanna visit the bar? I've yet to experience the taste of alcohol yet." She told him with a small nod, although she emphasized the point of when the storm was over, she would be damned if she were to go out in there.

He blushed at the mention of age, “I am the youngest one here probably… I am nineteen. Human years.” He muttered. “Wizards do live longer, but I haven’t reached that point yet.” He admitted. “I mean I probably will reach that point soon… but I only started learning magic about eight years ago.” He told her. “Hmm the bar? Sure… but I can’t drink.” He told her. “Don’t think anyone wants a drunk wizard either… that would be problematic.” He told her with a faint smile. He looked outside in the storm, “It will let up by the time we reach the bar I believe… if the clouds are any sign.” He remarked as he planted his staff on the ground. “If you want to borrow my jacket you can.” He told her kindly. “And don’t ask me to part the clouds or anything, cause that is way beyond my skill and most other wizards, that whole Wizards controlling nature at a whim is fantasy we bend it but we can never control it… and even bending it can be dangerous.” He remarked.

"And thank you." She told him with a smile as she grabbed his jacket with shaky hands. She placed it ever her, zipping it up and taking deep breaths. She really didn't want people to figure out her irrational fear of storms, it was just plain dumb in her opinion. So she would make her way to the bar with Jinx, she would make due. "Don't worry, I don't expect you to control the weather, believe me, as awesome as that would be, it would just be problematic. But the soil will be nice tomorrow so growing will be nice, I want to go visit the garden." She told him with a grin, excited for the prospect of tommorow, she just had to get through the storm now.
She placed the book under Jinx's jacket that seemed to somewhat hang on her and started to jog up the steps, trying to keep her breathing under control. She ignored the ringing of thunder and reached the door that loomed in front of her. With a deep breath, she linked her arms through his once more so she wouldn't lose him, opened the door and dashed as quickly as she could.

He nodded in agreement, “It would be perfect for a growing… though I do not really have a good green thumb when it comes to flowers I was good at herbs though, so I should be all right…” he proclaimed softly as he held the door for her, “after you.” He remarked with a soft bow and smile.
And then the witch heard the commotion. Her brown curls bounced around as she turned her head to see what was going on. And a smile spread across her face.
It was her classmate Teryl, and it seemed that a woman was attempting, and failing at, removing his armor. Ellais couldn't help but let out a laugh, raising her blistered fingers to her mouth in an attempt to muffle the sound. Everything was funnier with a higher alcohol level. And then the waitress pulled to hard and fell to the floor. Ellais couldn't help but to burst out laughing, it was a rather comical sight. The waitress got up and dusted herself off, glaring at Ellais as the witch continued to laugh, before the waitress
went to another table.
Ellais got up, dusted off her pants, gave a small smile to Jules and told him that it was nice drinking with him. She picked up her now almost empty glass and headed over to her winged friend, her steps were a little crooked but nothing to terrible. She sat down across from the angel, a small grin on her face. “That was rather amusing.” She said, holding on tightly to the cool glass. It brought a soothing, numbing relief to her freshly burned hands. She probably shouldn't have said the word, but she was telling the story of how she first discovered her power and it just slipped out. She looked the fallen angel over, admiring his armor. She didn't seem so shy at the moment, maybe booze gave her courage. “So why was she trying to yank your arm off?”

So many people were moving around, he didn't even notice Ellais sneaking up to him like a intoxicated ninja. He jumped when she arrived on the opposite side of the table from him, but quickly regained his composure. Something was definitely different about her...she was much more brass and unafraid. She wasn't quiet and meek like before but more...Teryl couldn't put a word on it. More...loose? More...talkative? More...fun? Fun? Yes, he saw that she was having a much more amusing time now than she was before. The new self made him smirk underneath his helmet, reminding him of the days when he'd get buzzed and talk to random strangers.
"Well well, look who became more crass," he spoke and gave a light chuckle, rearranging himself, "I don't know. They don't like people who wear armor in here apparently. He saw the glass in her hand and nodded, "How many of them have you had?" He asked, curious on how hard she's been hitting it so far.

She wished she had another drink, but she knew it was probably not a good idea. But the pain in her hands was getting to the point she could feel her eyes watering. To alleviate some of the pain she pressed them against the cool surface of the table, she wish she had some cold water, ice was a bad idea, leave her hands in ice too long she could get frost bite. Then again leaving her hands in water too long could swell them, which was just as bad. She hoped her friend hadn't noticed. “I have never heard of an angel who drinks...then again I have never met another angel.” Where did she leave her bag with the burn ointment? She couldn't remember, but she hoped no one would steal it. “What do angels normally do? All the pictures depict angels playing harps or trumpets...or fighting off demons.” She asked, trying to distract herself from her hands.

And welcome to the roleplay Abalyth, nice to meet you! (: I wasn't sure what part of the theater your character was in so I didn't include her but if she wants to join the conversation, she is more than welcome. ^^
And hello my pretties. (: How are all of you? I hope everything is going swimmingly in your life. :D And if it isn't, I hope the dramatics are at least interesting, they always turn out humorous in the end. :D
And hehehe. "She told him with a small nod, although she emphasized the point of when the storm was over, she would be damned if she were to go out in there." Get it, because she's already damned because she's a demon. >:D Oh my god, I'm just so punny today. ;)
