Name: Iris Parker

Age:17
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Picture: Image
Height:5'6"
Weight:113
Appearance:Iris has long red hair, orange brown eyes, and peach colored skin. She always wears long sleeve shirts because of the scars that have been dealt to her by her drunk father. Altogether, she looks quite cute but has no self esteem whats so ever. Under her shirt, she has a big scar that goes from her chest, diagonally, to her left waist. She has multiple small scars, many by her shoulders and her hugest one is on her back. She also has a couple on her thighs but she always keeps them all covered up.
Personality:Iris is a sweet girl who likes to keep to herself. She has a very low esteem from her dad beating her and all the scars given to her by her dad. During class, she can be quite spacey. She is also very clumsy and covers up when someone sees her scars as a bad fall or a run in with a vicious dog. Big dogs seem not to like her. She often tries to cover up her hurt and pain with a lighthearted happiness.
In reality, she is very scared and is hurt by what her father is doing to her. She is very sad about her mom's death and often, she fears her own life may end soon because of her dad. She wishes she had someone to talk to, but after moving, she only met enemies. She has become friends with the Bartender's girl, The Nerd, and The Drama Nerd. She truthfully wishes for someone she could actually tell the truth of her scars to but is also too afraid to find that person.
Likes: Sweets, Math, Cherries, Small dogs, Video games, and Music
Dislikes: Pain, Big dogs, Her Father, Bullies.
Fears:Dieing at her Father's hands and being alone
History:When her mother died in a car accident with Iris, her father turned to drinking. Blaming his daughter for her Mother's death, he started to beat her violently, sometimes scarring her. After awhile, her father started drinking away their money that they had to move. When going to the new school, the popular kids started to hate her instantly and tried to find ways to humiliate her and make her life a living hell.
Perverted?: Not in the slightest.

So begins...

Iris quickly fiddled with her shirt as she stayed up in the front of class. The math teacher said to stay here until she was introduced, but how long was he planning to wait? She didn't like everyone staring at her. It made her feel as if they knew everything about her and were just not telling her. She didn't like this one bit.

Biting her lip, she willed herself to stay in place at the front of the room as the bell went off. She hoped he wouldn't leave her up there for the lesson. It was absurd to think about, but she feared it. She scanned the students and her eyes met a guy with bluish hair with a more feminine face. She smiled before looking to the next. By her was a adorable looking guy with blonde hair. He was very small. Looking at the next, her eyes met someone's venomous glare at her. Trying her best to smile, the girl only glared at her back. Her eyes quickly tore away from the girl as she stared at the back of the room. Oh god, what was she getting into?

((OOC: Sorry for lining you all up like that XD))

"This is mostly for my sake so that I know how far behind or, god forbid, ahead of us you are. Complete what you can of it by the end of the week and bring it to me so that I can catch you up to speed on what you don't know," Her teacher said as he handed her the paperwork, towering over her as he did so. His voice seemed very... Strict and she could tell right away that she probably wasn't going to like this class.

"Good morning, everyone. Forgive the interruption of your daily of gossip and nap time, that includes you, Mister Reese and stop drawing bunny rabbits on your homework. I can only handle so much...cute before I feel like vomiting or punting small children." He said as he turned to the class, giving a forced smile all the while.

"But, sir! I gave this one a Rambo bandana and a bazooka to make it more manly!"
"Mister Reese" Said which she almost laughed to but held it in. To her right, she heard the sigh of her teacher as he clearly disapproved.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the teacher glare back at her as she stiffened once more.
"We have a new victim joining us today. This is Iris Parker. I don't want to hear of any mistreatment or drama from any of you in my classroom or otherwise. She's new, deal with it, Feel free to tell us a few things about yourself, Miss Parker, if you are so inclined. Otherwise, feel free to choose an open seat." He said and then motioned to the seat by "Mister Resse" Suddenly, a girl rushed in from the hallway and gave her a sympathetic smile. She looked back to the teacher who met her eyes with his one eye and gave a slight nod at her.

"I think I'd rather not take time from your lesson, Sir." She said quickly as she took to the safety of her new seat while giving a smile to the guy who drew Rambo bunnies. She was very thankful to be in her seat and also very thankful that she didn't have to talk about herself.

Ash had watched the entire ordeal play out in front of her, feeling a bit bad for the girl. Surely she thought he must be some sociopath or something along those lines. But in Ash's opinion, Mr. Erei wasn't all that bad. Wasn't like he ever tortured her in any way. In fact, she didn't think he even acknowledged her except in roll call and collecting homework or grading something. But she supposed that was the way teachers were supposed to act toward students. No big loss for her really.

Ash looked over as she saw Weylin wave for the new girl, who was apparently Iris, to sit in the desk between them. Well, that could be nice. When Mr. Erei released the new girl and she sat in the seat that Weylin wanted her to sit in, Ash turned toward her and offered a small smile. "Hey. Name's Ash." She said, hating that her voice was still a bit higher than most guy's voices. She wondered if this girl thought she was a boy. She hoped she did. Otherwise she did all that work for nothing. Regardless, Ash held out her hand to shake Iris', hating that her body was still girlish.

"Hey. Name's Ash." The person's whose gender was yet to be decided said as they stuck out their hand to be shook.
"My names Iris... but I guess you already knew that." She said with apologetic smile for repeating known facts. She then glanced forward for a second, wondering if the teacher was looking in her direction. Suddenly, fearing the thought of being caught talking on the first day she gave an apologetic smile before taking her hand away.
"We might wanna continue this conversation outside of class." She quickly whispered.

When Iris had suggested they continue talking later, Ash laughed lightly and nodded. "Yeah, Mr. Erei isn't one to wait for us to stop talking." She pulled her hand back to her desk, getting her stuff ready for class as she absently listened to the normal banter in the class room, shaking her head. What good was it to talk trash on someone? Think that's going to change what they do? No, you're only sinking to their level. But, regardless, it wasn't really her problem. So, she wouldn't butt in. Besides, class was starting.

Ash listened to her teacher, absorbing what he had to say and writing the notes she needed. She was pretty good at math, or so her grades said. She hadn't failed anything in this class, so she should have the rights to say she was pretty decent. Regardless, before she knew it, the class was dismissed. Then Weylin started freaking talking about her and Camaryn going to lunch with him and Iris. Ash chuckled at the boy's excitement. "Uh, don't I sit with you every day? Why would today be any different?" Ash gathered her stuff and stood, waiting for the rest of them.

Iris listened intently throughout the whole class, jotting down some notes here and there. They went over this a week before she left so she was happy that they were on the same schedule. Suddenly, a note was slipped onto her desk. Picking it up, she smiled and nodded at Weylin. She was happy to not be alone for the first day. By the time the class ended, she was about to talk to them, but the teacher broke her train of thought.

" Miss Iris, I would appreciate it if you would see me as well. We need to assign you your books and get your computer log in set up so that you can access the online math engine. I'll let you go early today if there isn't anything else."

"Yes sir..." She said and smiled at Weylin as he talked to Ash and Camaryn about sitting together.
"I'll see you guys at lunch?" She asked with a hopeful smile.

"Here, pick out a username and password. It will let you login from home as well so please use it. It's fairly useful and will be used a good deal in my class," Her teacher said and she quickly bent over and typed in a quick user name and password. Letting the username be her mom's maiden name and the password her mom's name. She already went by her mom's maiden name without her father's knowledge. What would he do if he figured out that? A slight shiver went through her body as she thought of this and last night. 'Calm down Iris. Don't think of it. You'll start shaking badly if you remember...' She quickly told herself as she quickly started to calm herself down. It seemed this secret was starting to get too big for her... but she could never let it out... Not in a million years...

"Is there anything else that you need help with? I imagine that they haven't shown you around the school yet and I am free next period." Her face immediately brightened as her teacher suggested this, making her forget about her father.

"If you have the time, that'd be perfect." She said excitedly. She didn't want to be a bother to him but she was so excited. She was afraid earlier that since she lost her new friends, she'd have to find her classes all on her own but this wondrous teacher luckily saved her. She was sure this would be a new favorite class.

The tall man watched the girl carefully, his eye narrowing slightly when her posture and expression shifted. What could she be thinking? He could tell that something was troubling her, but the question was or should have been why did he care? He did not know her, did not care anything of her for she was a student, a teenager who would either pass his class or fail it, nothing more. And yet, there it was, lingering in those expressive eyes. There was something bothering her greatly, as though the world itself were perched upon her shoulders. Then again, most girls got that expression when choosing which pair of shoes to wear so he very well could have been reading too much into it. And then the moment passed and she was looking at him with a happy smile that strangely enough, warmed his insides. He couldn't explain it.

"I always make time for my students," He stated, despite the expressionless appearance on his face. And he did. They usually didn't make time for him however, not that he particularly cared. That was what it was. She was his student and he was simply trying to instil in her a desire to try in his classroom. Choosing that as his answer, the twenty three year old stood, closing his laptop and motioned her toward the door. "You have your schedule, I presume?"

"I'll write you an excuse for your next class so that you have plenty of time to familiarize yourself with the building," He added after a moment as he strolled through the hall with her,"Where are you from, if you don't mind my asking?" He gestured to a hall to their left. "That is the science wing. Chemistry, Biology, basic earth sciences, all of them are kept there so they don't risk blowing up the whole school."

Iris Parker

"I always make time for my students,"
He said which, for some reason, sorta reassured her in an odd way. She didn't quite understand why, but it did.
"And I bet they appreciate it very much." She said with a slight nod. She knew she was appreciative of it.

"You have your schedule, I presume?"
He asked and she nodded as she held it up.

"I'll write you an excuse for your next class so that you have plenty of time to familiarize yourself with the building,"

"Thank you Dr.Erei!" She said with a smile. She had English next hour and she was really, REALLY not looking forward to it.

"Where are you from, if you don't mind my asking?" he asked as she smiled.
"I'm from New York...." She said shyly.
"It's a lot calmer here... more nice..." She said, just listening to the silence.

"That is the science wing. Chemistry, Biology, basic earth sciences, all of them are kept there so they don't risk blowing up the whole school." She smiled at this. She laughed a tiny bit.
"Wouldn't the teacher just have to pay attention?" She questioned with a smile.

Enya Thompson

Enya smiled at Monique as she walked in. She was unsure if it was a venomous smile or a friendly smile but she knew she should at least try.

"Hey Monique. Good luck out there." She said and then passed her and walked out to the track. Her coach was already waiting for her by the time she got there. She smiled at her team as she walked out and had a couple of high fives as the thoughts of her biggest enemy left her mind.

"Okay! Everyone stretch!" She yelled as everyone immediately got in their circle and started counting off tens as they did each stretch. Once done, they quickly lined the track and all of them got ready.

"Ready.... Go!" Coach McGuire yelled as they all took off, trying their hardest to pace and get better times. Enya quickly took the lead and when they got half way done, she quickly fell back and started encouraging the ones who were falling behind.

Dr. Erei laughed and she quickly blushed.
"You obviously haven't met him yet, have you," He said and she shook her head no in response.
" Why move here of all places? I'd imagine moving somewhere like Redwood is much more boring, especially after being in New York. Calm? Sure, I guess you could say that."

He said that and she stared in the distance.
"It's nice here... New York is too busy... And I just needed to get away.... Too many cars..." She listed and shivered without her notice. Her mom's death was pretty recent and she hadn't had enough time to heal before her dad changed. Clenching her fists and digging her nails into her skin, she forced herself not to tear up or cry. Not in front of him. She was stronger than that.

They then continued walking and went to the next hallway.
"All of the English and History classes are down this hall and at the end you will find the gymnasium and cafeteria." She nodded in response, not yet trusting her voice. "Something to keep in mind, Miss Parker. This school is probably much harsher than the one that you come from. The students are...well, let's just say that they may test you and push you. My advice is to ignore them. Find a good circle of friends and forget the rest. You deserve to be here just as much if not more that they do, because unlike them you worked to get here."

She nodded and blushed as he talked about her hard work and her scholarship. Her dad wasn't as hell going to pay for it, so she tried her very hardest to make it here.
"Thank you for your advice Dr.Erei. I will definitely take it to heart..." She said as she smiled up at her math teacher.

"Miss Parker... If you ever need to talk... I, I am not good at dealing with people. However, I am good at listening," Iris quickly looked up. He had figured out that she was hiding something. She thought she hid it perfectly but her teacher saw right through her. He then handed her a slip.

"Right...well, I think that you should be fairly set for now. You know where to find me if you need anything. Have a good day Miss Parker." He said as he started to walk away. Her first thought was to reach out and grab his sleeve, but she quickly stopped herself. The warmth he made her feel was unusual to her. It was a warmth she longed for after her mothers death.

"Y-you too..." She said quiet enough that he could still hear her. She then stepped back and walked off to her 2nd hour.

Iris Parker

Iris walked into her English class and handed her teacher the slip Dr.Erei signed.
"Sorry for being late..." Iris said, knowing it was not good to be late on your first day.

"Take any open seat," The teacher said and she nodded and took the first open seat. The teacher then set a book on her desk. Iris picked it up and hoped to see it was a good book. The title read 'The Great Gatsby' and Iris wasn't quite sure if she felt dread or wonder.

"We're on chapter seven, Well, maybe chapter five. You can step into the hallway to catch up, or you can listen during our discussion about the book that will be used to make the questions for the test. Up to you,"

Iris nodded quickly.
"I'll stay in here." She said, hoping it would fill her in on some important bits to pass the test.

After a long while of discussion, the bell finally rang and she was out to her next class.

Enya Thompson

Enya just finished changing right as the bell rang. She quickly slung her bag over her shoulder and waited for Monique. She said that she'd see her after class so she decided to hang on and talk with her while they were going to their lockers. She let herself stretch as she thought of her next class. Chemistry. A nice blow off class after running.

While waiting, she picked up on some new gossip. There was some talk of a new girl... She'd have to keep an eye out for her. She could try to get to the top of the school and she knew she'd take her down even before she attempted to.
