Kai, who was following Xamphus stopped after what Xamphus said.

"I'll call Jari. Go to the ship and prep it to head to Nemos (Nem-o-s). Im going to talk to the loaders, Yui (Yu-e) might not be to happy but I'm sure he'll understand."

Kai takes a sharp right turn at the ships ramp and heads for this concession type building. Kai goes over what he will say to Yui.
Will he really let me go without paying.
Kai checks his codex on his wrist which displays his account balance.

4,876 credits.

"I'm short, and I can't give him everything I have..."

Last time the rate for loading his ship was 5,000 credits for a months worth of supplies.
Kai arrives at the counter

Yui
"Kai my boy! Your ship is loaded and ready to go, I like what you did with the panel upgrade!"

"Yui, I cant pay you in full today.. We are kind of strapped... I could give you 1500 creds and give you the rest after our job on Nemos."

Yui
"Kai, you're putting me in a tough position.."

"You know I'm good for it!!"

Yui
"I know, I know! It's just.. Fine but you can't keep doing this to me, this is the last time.
And if you don't pay me back, You'll be the one running from the bounty hunters.."

"Thanks Yui, I'll have your money soon."

Kai walks away from the booth and starts fiddling with his codex.
"1500 transferd, I hope this job goes down well.."

Kai fiddles with his codex more and gets Jari on signal. Jari answers, his voice raspy and old with sort of an experienced sound about him, like he has answered sketchy calls before.

Jari
"Yes?"

"We're in, we'll be in orbit over Nemos in a few days, I'll call you to get the final details then."

Kai proceeds into the ship

Xamphus made his way to the ship. He went up the ramp that entered the cargo area, and opened the first sliding door. He turned to go up two flights of stairs. After doing so, he made his way down the corridor to the pilot's deck. He hit the ignition and began powering up the ship's engines. He checked the fuel levels and the status of all the equipment. Everything looked in check. Xamphus wondered what kind of food got loaded onto the ship this time. He decided it was a good idea to go check the cargo hold and inspect everything. When he reached the cargo hold again, right off the bat he noticed a bad job which he hadn't noticed before.

One of the pallets was cracked open and some of the contents of it was spilling onto the floor of the cargo area. Xamphus shook his head and snarled at the mess in agitation. Those loaders always did something wrong. Why did Kai have to pay them so much again? Besides that, surprisingly everything seemed to be in shape. He made his way back to into the bulk of the ship and up the first set of stairs. Walking down the corridor, he stopped at one of the doors and tapped on the switch to the side. The door slid open quickly and he stepped inside. It was his quarters.

He tapped the switch on the other side and the door slid shut. He took off his coat and hung it up on a nearby hanger attached to the wall. He took a few steps over to a storage area attached to the wall of the room and slid his hand across one of the drawers. The drawer slid open and revealed an open space. He slipped off the leather underarm holster he was currently wearing and placed it into the drawer with a slight clack. He pushed the drawer gently, and it slid back closed. He turned back around and admired his quarters. It had a custom paint job which represented the colors of his home planet, and a hammock which was strung up onto two short, trimmed, trees that had been bolted to the floor.

He grinned as he exited the room, and made his way back to the pilot's deck.

Kai hung up on his codex and walked into the ships cargo hold and stoped..
"This place is a fucking reck, nothing is strapped in properly, and what's this!"
Kai walked over to a crate that was busted open.. And inspected it.

"Fucking stings."

Kai walk to the bulk stair well and walked up one flight and walked down the corridor to inspect maintence room, engine room, and the prisoner hold. Everything seemed in order, and no stowaways, Kai hates free loaders. He has to work to barely make it and doesn't get any breaks, why should they!

Kai walks up the second flight of stairs into the cockpit and checked coordinates. Everything was a go. Kai got on the inter com and announced that the ship was about to depart.

Kai sat in the seat and pulled back on the yoke. The ships hydrogen ion engines slowly glowed into a bright and loud roar. The ramp receded back into the ship and they were off.

Xamphus climbed into the cockpit as the ship was taking off and strapped himself into a nearby seat and relaxed.

After a couple of days, Xamphus worked his way to the cargo hold. He grabbed a box of pasta out of one of the pallets and made his way back to the kitchen, humming as he did.

He stopped when he heard a peculiar sound and smelt something unfamiliar coming out one of the empty rooms. He placed the pasta box down on the floor and inhaled fully. Upon exhaling he tapped the door switch and it slid open. He stopped and blocked the doorway with his body saying to the human redhead with a snarl:

"Look what I found. What in the fuck do you think you're doing? Y'know.. Those chips... They aren't yours."

This had to have been the easiest time she's ever had sneaking onto a ship. Seriously, she could have got on with her eyes closed! But she had to give them credit for trying. With guards, lots of loaders, checkpoints, scanners, and cameras, an amateur would have been caught in less than two minutes. But for her, it was just a game of timing, hiding, and screwing with the tech and aliens. Easy as pie. With that being said though, She was a little sloppy when a loader came back faster than planned and knocked over a pallet, but it wasn't that big of a mess, and those loaders were a bit sloppy. But by the time anyone who cared would have stopped to notice, she was relaxing on an actual bed. A job well done, she thought in her mind.

Now all she had to do was wait and escape the inevitable for another day. Or week, depending on wherever this ship was headed.

And wait.

And..

Deep, slow breaths.

She congratulates herself on getting in and out of the cargo hold in an instant, bringing enough food to not cause for concern, but just enough to get her through the next day. She rewards herself by carefully opening up a package of salty chips and eating a few on her way back because she's 'amazing like that'. I should probably have a show or something about how cool I am. I'll be told to take stuff and come back out in like 15 minutes with it. It probably wouldn't be very good to have a camera man following me around everywhere, but I could—

"...They aren't yours."

The redhead nearly choked at the beast's voice. Caught like a child with the cookie jar behind their back. She didn't respond to him, not immediately. She just sighed and finished chewing the chip in her mouth, put down the bag, and brushed her hands off on her shorts. She started to go over scenarios in her head and they didn't look all too pretty. She didn't want to go through the process of being a captive again, so that brought it down to two options. Fight or flight. Can't run away on a spaceship, so it's the former. She finally looked up to the Wohian, who, was now blocking the door( Gosh he was tall, and big), and attempted to hide the signs that she was scared for her life. She replied in a smooth tone, "... Well furball, If you want them back, take 'em."

Xamphus could feel himself gritting his teeth in annoyance while he clenched his jaw. Every inch of his body stiffened up in anger. This woman. She really thought she owned the place, huh!?

"Take 'em..? You know.. We really hate stowaways. Especially smart asses like yourself."

Xamphus began to reach behind him onto a clip attached to his belt. He pulled a Static Arc Restraint (SAR) off and tapped on the activation button. It unraveled slightly and made a barely audible ticking noise. He made sure to keep it hidden behind his back. All the while, looking at the redheaded stowaway.

Xamphus stood there for a moment. He realized that one of her legs were quivering just enough for him to notice. He grinned and felt himself grow calm. He took a step forward.

If Awen's appearance resembled anything 'calm' before, that resemblance dissipated within milliseconds at his grin. Hearing a ticking noise from behind him didn't help either, but she wouldn't look away from his mug long enough to look curious about it. To look worried.

Breath in, breath out. Remain calm, remain human.

Fight or flight. Kill or run. Offence or defense.

...Submission?

I didn't think it was going to be an option at first glace, but the sound of restraints being clicked open finally register. But god, if past trial and error ever taught me anything it was that you didn't want to be a captive on a ship. Ever.

But these are the facts. No allies, no bystanders, no one to see this and think of it as a kidnapping. I'm alone. The wolf creature is obviously stronger and bigger than me, but his weight can be used against him. I'm not sure where the escape pod/s are on this vessel, but the crew is small and I can easily evade them long enough to find one, or alternately, an airlock to blow them out of. But if I do submit to being captive, and I am likely to be tortured and/or killed. That's the price I pay.

I could submit for now. Get more used to the ship. Yeah, I can work with this. I just have to stay calm. That grin on his face isn't helping.

There's always a choice. Am I making the right one?

Awen let out an audible sigh after making her decision. Her first instinct was to fight and it was killing her not to. She slowly averted her eyes away from the approaching Wohian and with a defeated posture, grudgingly held out her wrists.

"I can tell."

She made a good choice with her decision to submit. The redhead would've had it much worse if Xamphus had to take things further, probably blood. He knew that he could get away with taking things easier, but he wasn't so sure how Kai was going to react to the stowaway. He didn't want to think about it too much, and just decided to get on with it. He stepped forward and gripped her wrists tightly. Pulling the SAR from behind him, he slapped it onto her wrist and the restraint activated. Static emitted from the restraint and wrapped around her palms. Static continued moving around her body for a moment before disappearing and leaving her in gravity-less state and barely in control of her motions.

Xamphus chuckled slightly as he whipped her off of the bed by the ankle and hung her upside-down (he was actually dying of laughter on the inside). He turned around careful enough to avoid moving her too violently and let go of her for a moment while he pressed the door switch. He carried her by the ankle again and walked down the corridor to the stairs leading up.

"Well, you're in for a treat. I can't wait to see what Kai thinks of this shit."

He spun her in a cartwheel motion before stopping and pushing her up the stairs vertically. He kept moving, stopping when he reached the cockpit.

He tapped the door switch and said to her, "Well, end of the line."

He moved her inside and called out to the Asari piloting the ship,

"Look what I found."

Kai was sitting reclined in the captains seat with his leather boots propped on the console. Kai had "Barbie" (The name he gave to the female voiced A.I. because she was stiff and fake sounding.) piloting the ship while he messed around on his codex. Kai was about to get up and get some shut eye before they arrived at Nemos until he heard a deep snarly voice behind him, Kai didn't quite catch what Xamphus said.

What could he possibly want? We are still two days out and I am about to get some rest.'

Kai swiveled his chair around to the spectacle before him, a red headed stowaway hanging by her ankles, he was furious. Kai swiveled back around and grabbed for the yoke, which immediately disengaged Auto Pilot, and jerked it forward bringing the ship rapidly out of warp and turning on Auto Stability warning lights and controls, everyone in the cockpit shifted forward as the ship came to a complete stop, floating idle in space.

"What the actual fuck! How the HELL did a fucking stowaway get on my ship!"

Kai swatted a glass off the console sending hurtling towards a wall, He rose out his chair un-holstering his wepaon and holding to his side with one hand and began pointing with other.

"It was those fucking stings huh?"

Kai walks forward and bends down to look the stowaway in the eyes.

"They sent you aboard to make sure we didn't try skip out on the payment huh? Well you can tell Yui to suck my dick, he can consider his fucking payment good as gone!"

Kai stands up, looks at Xamphus with dis-belief,

'A stowaway on my ship! The gull of this chick'

Kai then turns past Xamphus and walks out the cockpit to the airlock down the corridor. Kai begins hitting some buttons in the console in the adjacent wall. The airlock door opens with with a loud "Stssss" and Kai points sharply in to black and cold looking chamber

"Put her in the airlock!"

Yeah, Xamphus knew that was coming. He stared blankly for a moment at the heated Asari and replied with a concerned response,

"Don't you think that's going a bit too far? She didn't even resist really. We could always just throw her in the brig and finish the job. Then we could come back and turn her in."

He thought about it more while he responded and put out another idea,

"Or.. We could sell her.."

He shrugged slightly at the idea. It was easy cash and Kai knew that it was. Despite the stowaway's cooperation it wasn't such a bad idea to get more credits in their account. Something was nagging him at the back of his brain. Kai had directly assumed that the stowaway redhead was a spy/repo sent by Yui, but something about her and Xamphus' instinct said otherwise. Instead of dwelling on it he patted her cheek and asked her,

"Are you working for that douchebag, Yui? Or are you here for yourself? Choose wisely."

Xamphus looked her directly into the eyes while he asked and then glanced over in Kai's direction as he waited for the answer.

Kai's scowl slowly diminished as he processed Xamphus' words.

'Selling her..yeah that would be a bit more beneficial than sending her hurtling through space. We could EASILY get 600,000 credits for her, shes a fine specimen, human, perfect slave material, I know a guy on Nemos that would want her...BUT if she works for Yui, oh god, I could kiss my reputation on Yute goodbye, he'll ruin me for killing OR selling one of his own...I guess there's always Corellia, Jobs pay less, but they are close together if not on the planet itself... something to think about...after the Nemos job.'

Kai holstered his weapon and reached out his hand to hit the big red blinking button the console, "Stssss", the airlock closed and Kai began to walk towards the cockpit.

"Put her in the brig then come back to the cockpit, we need to talk this through without the presence of our... uh guest.."

Kai opened the cockpit door and shut it as he walked through.

'600,000 credits, that would get us through a few months.. we could take a break and relax'

Kai walked over to the cup on the floor and placed it on the console and took his seat.

"Barbie!, Get us back in warp. Maintain course to Nemos, protocol 'Hotel Whiskey'(Orbit Pattern above destination)"

A female voice chimes in.

OH! I do wish you would stop refering to me as this 'Barbie'. I am 'Isabelle' your Infinity StarCruiser C-X Class complementary Assistant in all matters of the ship, sir"

"Mhmm. Can we proceed now?"

The voice stopped in its tracks, and replied as though the A.I. was turned off and in a very robotic tone, different from the first, replied.

"Setting course to Nemos.'

The ship jerked into motion, exponentially increasing in speed. In a matter of seconds, a chime rigged about the ship, informing the passengers that warp speed, has been achieved.

Regrets.

So many regrets.

Deep breaths.

She tried her best not to glare daggers at the beast after he started dragging her floating body, but it was really, really ticking her off, Not to mention embarrassed her out of her mind. She felt like a patient in a mental hospital being rolled along in the restrained bed. She still has to remember she was the one who ran away, the one who hid on their ship, but it was reeeally hard to put the blame on herself at the moment. When she was spinning in the air.

She makes sure to keep her eyes open though, watching the way there and back. Silently watching, breathing deep breaths. She gets a look at the beast from behind, the systems on the walls.. Just mental notes. It's only when they get to the captain that she stops looking around and looks for him. An Asari? ...Well, it is a nice looking vessel, wouldn't surprise me if it was by their design. But what's he doing working with a—

Who the hell is Yui? A payment? ...What the hell? What kind of ship is this?

"Put her in the airlock!" After that, Awen's eyes lit up and blinked with a bit of disbelief. The airlock? Yeah, that's what she heard. She then immediately started trying to furiously rip her way out of those restraints, and yet all her strength must have looked like tiny fits due to the field. Still, she tried.

Damn it, I'll kill you! I'll kill him! I'll dance on your graves and sell your damn ship too, if it's worth anything!

Awen kept her eyes on whoever was talking, most likely trying to figure out which one held the most authority here. When she was finally talked to by the beast again, she turned her head and listened, perhaps a little more than she would for the Asari at the moment. Hey, whatever I have to say to stay alive, I'll say it. The only problem was she didn't know whether or not lying was going to help in this situation. If she worded it different, maybe she didn't have to find out.

"Put her in the brig then come back to the cockpit..."
"...Uh, guest.."

Well, at least it wasn't the airlock anymore. That was progress. If she could count on the AI again, she could maybe find a way out while the assholes talked up here. Or at least prepare herself better.

Breath in, Breath out. Everything is fine.

As soon as Kai gave the 'order' to put her into the prison hold, he gave a short sigh of relief. It wouldn't have been that great if they had to shoot a human out of an airlock and leave her in empty space as she froze to death. He could sense that her fear was dissipating after Kai had changed his mind. She actually got calmer than she should have been.. If Xamphus was her he would rather be launched out of the airlock, than sold. She had a plan, most definitely.

Xamphus had reached the prison hold when he came to the conclusion that she had something planned. He tapped on the electronic lock to open the cell door. The cell itself resembled more of a solitary confinement space than an actual prison cell. He set her down on her feet, and looked her in the eye with displeasure before he turned her around and pulled off the restraint, which made a large zapping noise as it came off. The restraint automatically compressed onto itself, and he shoved the stowaway into the cell.

Before she could even react, he tapped the switch and the door slid closed quickly. He inputted a passcode onto the electronic lock that would be required to open it. As he was tiwsted around, he bashed the back of his fist into the door as if to get her attention and called out,

"Have fun in there!"

He walked down the hallway and made his way back to the cockpit. Xamphus realized he should have searched her before he threw her into the cell. Not that whatever she had could ever get her out of there, and even if she did, there was no escape pods or alternate ways out of the ship. Only the airlocks. Those played more as exits when landed, due to the walkways just outside of them. Then there was the cargo bay door.. But that couldn't be opened while the ship is flying.

She really did choose the wrong ship.

Xamphus stopped when he arrived at the cockpit and got Kai's attention with,

"So what was it we were going to talk about, now?"

Kia, who was going over some last minute telemetry, was interrupted by Xamphus' entrance to the cockpit.

"So what was it we were going to talk about, now?"

Kai began to try reading Xamphus' facial expressions to try and see how to open up the very difficult conversation ahead, which was not easy.

'Sometimes I wish he just wagged his tale to tell me how he was feeling about situations'

"Yeah, the stowaways fate. We could easily get 600,000 credits for her, I know a guy on Nemos that is looking for human slaves. The only problem is if she IS working for Yui, he will ruin what little reputation we have on Yute, which happens to be our biggest paying region. We could always resort back to Coreilla, but we might not get as many credits and their is a chance that we could run into another..."

Kai was interrupted by a flash back to the Rei job. Kai wasn't sure if he was ready for another like it. They are older and more experienced now, he was sure they could handle it better than they did.

Xamphus went over what Kai said in his head. It would definitely make sense that Yui would send someone to make sure they got the reward money and were headed right back for Yute. The problem is, why would Yui take to hiring a sneaky woman to get onto the ship when he could just get her to follow with her own ship. He responded after gathering his thoughts.

"I doubt she's working for Yui. Why would it affect our reputation if Yui is playing games with us."

Xamphus paused for a moment.

"If we sell her, Yui could easily get her out if she was working with him. He's not broke. He just wants more cred in his pocket. It wouldn't make any difference to him.. Other than letting him know that we'll take to selling women off for some quick cash."

Kai swiveled back around to the command console and began some last minute checks on the telemetry of the ship.

"Yute is our largest grossing planet, and Yui controls that shit, he would ruin us, we don't have a perfect reputation as it is. Let's just get this Nemos job done, pay this douche to get him off our radar, then sell the stowaway and head to Cores for a bit of a vacation. I'm headed to my cabin, I'm gonna rest, when I wake up in a few hours, we need to go over the plan for Nemos."

Kai swivels around and gets up and leaves the cockpit.

When Kai reaches his cabin, he takes off his coat and throws it on the couch, which had some books, electronics, and the remanence of his last meal. Kai walks over to a miniature fridge and pulls out a beverage, cracks it open, the proceeds to flop on the couch and watch some holograms. Kai preferred the couch over the bed when it came to quick rest, he always over slept in the bed.

After Kai left the cockpit, Xamphus sighed. He turned around and made his way down to where the kitchen was. He might as well made them a meal, so they were at full strength when they were ready to do the Nemos job. Xamphus pondered over their discussion thinking of how they could avoid any setbacks or consequences.

Kai was totally right.. There is almost no way out of losing our reputation completely if we make even one mistake.

Xamphus knew already that if took things too far with Yui. The bounty hunters would become the bounty hunted. That didn't sound fun. However, if that girl was able to sneak onto the ship without any difficulty, then it shouldn't be too hard for her to escape the human slavers. He knew of plenty of people who had done it, and gotten out unscathed.

At least.. Until they drug her. Then she'd have zero chance..

Xamphus chuckled at the reality of the situation and grinned to himself. Xamphus spun around and walked back down to the prison hold. He might as well implant the idea into her head that she could escape. Not that she didn't have any of those thoughts in the first place, Xamphus figured a stowaway, would. If she was definitely working for Yui, and she escaped the slavers, than Yui wouldn't lose an asset at his disposal. There would still be a decent risk involved, though.

Still better than a guaranteed hit on our slim rep..

Xamphus arrived at the prison hold. After knocking on the cell he spoke,

"Hey you. Awake? Since you know what the plan is for you.. I thought it'd be generous of me to let you know a few things that might help you out. But that's only if you're interested.."
