Sydney could have kept pushing all night, because what Jane was saying didn't make sense and Sydney hated being lied to so blatantly. She was offended that Jane actually thought that she was stupid enough to believe the things she was saying. Then, there she went again with that whole "mean" line, and Sydney wanted to badly to roll her eyes and tell Jane that she and Sienna had to rethink their divorce because it was obviously hurting their toddler child. That was how Jane was acting, and Sydney should have been used to it, but she was tired of Jane thinking that she could cry or whine her way out of things, especially when this was so serious. This wasn't Jane pleading with them to come shopping with her, or claiming that they were being mean because they told her she had to go to her father's wedding. This was her complaining about them caring about her and trying to stop her from being so unhealthy. She noticed Sienna's silence, and though they verbally agreed on nothing, she decided that it was time to stop trying for now. They both must have been on the same page, knowing that this wasn't going to go anywhere if Jane continued to deny, deny, deny.

It was frustrating to just have to nod as Sienna told Jane that they would do what she wanted, but she did it. In order to keep herself from snapping at Jane when Sienna got up to finish her makeup, Sydney stood as well, and headed back into the closet where she had left her original outfit and her mask. Her clutch was also still there, and after sifting through it in search of a piece of gum, she noticed her phone lit up. There was a few texts from some junior girls looking for reassurance that their outfits and masks were good, but the only one that Sydney actually paid attention to was the one that she received only seconds before, from Sienna.

The real source was definitely Brent, and Sydney wasn't scared to deal with him. She had had a few awkward encounters with Brent in the past, because apparently at one of her parties a few years back, he had chatted her mother up, and he had talked her into buying cocaine from him. Sydney wanted to believe that he had been the one to talk Alice into buying the drugs, but Sydney was sure that it didn't take much pressure to get Alice shelling out the money. Her mother was irresponsible, unpredictable, and immature. At forty years old, she still acted like an eighteen-year-old, and it was embarrassing to Sydney. To her friends, her mother seemed young, fun and energetic, a real life "cool mom". For Sydney, the thrill of that never existed, and she was tired of it. She was tired of not only not having a maternal figure in her life, but sometimes having to actually be that to her own mother. While Sydney didn't consider Brent's "relationship" with her mother to be dirt that he had on her, she wasn't excited to have to interact with him. Sydney did not use drugs, and Brent was not anywhere close to her level socially, so it wasn't like she ever really had interacted with him personally. Finding his number wouldn't be hard. She could easily get a minion to find it, and hey, if that didn't work, Sydney was sure she could find the number in Jane's contact list!

To: Sienna
Agreed, but there seems to be more than one source here. I can deal with Brent, and I can deal with Piper, but the latter might need to be a joint effort. You're the only reason she's actually relevant to this group anyway.

As soon as the text was sent, she stepped outside of the closet and nodded at Sienna's words. "Definitely. The boys should be here soon," Sydney agreed, reminding herself of the text from Rick that she had skimmed over earlier. As she headed out of Sienna's room, one hand held her mask, and the other typed out a response to Rick, which a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips, just at his audacity.

To: Ricardo
I always thought you were more of a realist than a dreamer, Rick. Guess I was wrong.

To: Ricardo
But I am bored, so end your sausage fest and come pick us up.

"Did Vincent say that they're on their way?" Sydney asked as she put her phone into her clutch, and turned her head back to look at the girls as she headed out of the bedroom. Maybe it was surprising, but Sydney's tone was completely content. At least for the moment, she was set on moving past whatever feelings she had, or thought she had for Vincent. She had realized this night that she didn't want to fight with Sienna anymore, especially when it was clear that they worked much better as a team than separate entities. If losing the Vincent battle meant keeping her friend, Sydney thought that she could deal with that.

Damn, neither of them texted back? After walking for a few minutes, Brent realized that his phone hadn't went off once since leaving home. He shouldn't have been surprised that Kelley didn't text back, because she was the definition of unreliable, and he shouldn't have been surprised about Charlotte's lack of response either. For one, she was probably busy getting ready for the party, and secondly, his text had been intended to irk her. Maybe, she was deciding to be the bigger person today. It wasn't impossible, but it was a little upsetting. He was looking forward to her comeback to lighten the tense mood that had been crippling him since his altercation with his brother. Though it was usually at the expense of her nerves, Charlotte never failed to entertain him, so a moment after he put his phone away and it finally buzzed, he might have been a little too hopeful that it was the blonde now answering him. Unfortunately, it wasn't, and it wasn't even Kelley sending him some suggestive message about how she was excited to see him. It was Piper, and wow, she really was in a pissy mood lately. First, the relentless texts about him getting Jane Ritalin, and now, her demanding that he "vouch" for her if anything got out. He wished that he had no idea what she was talking about, but he actually had been regretting what he had told Tori. Piper wouldn't believe it if he confessed to her, but he really had told Tori that Piper's only involvement was escorting Jane to get the drugs. He never said that she took them too, and he didn't think she would be guilty by association.

To: Piper
Chill redhead!! As far as I know, ur just some smart chick who was my science fair partner way back when. Deleting now, but u gotta relax! I'll bring you a Xanax, on the house

Around twenty minutes later, Brent had reached the venue that was hosting Piper's party. Before getting on the small line that had formed to get past the bouncers and inside, Brent slipped on his masquerade mask. It was as plain as plain got, but he had found it in a box in his brother's closet, and figured that it was better than having to pay for something.

To: Victoria
So... am I cool to sell to Jane tonight? I've got a lot of deals to make and I need to clean out my stash by the night's end. I'll clear out everything within the next 30 minutes, but her pills are the only that I don't have reserves already put in for.

Connor had went upstairs to retrieve his mask, hoping that a few minutes without Vincent might make him less tense and nervous for the night ahead of him. Just as he returned to the kitchen, Rick also walked in, and Connor was strangely relieved to see him. Normally, Vincent and Ricardo could be a bit of a powerhouse that could team up against him. He'd feel pressured into drinking more, or talking to more girls, when they were around, because it was what they were good at, and he didn't want to be that one awkward friend that could do neither. That was probably going to be true again tonight, and Connor expected Rick to be just as curious as Vincent regarding his date, but at least Ricardo could handle a drunk Vincent. He had probably seen him like this many times, and Ricardo was better at entertaining it than Connor was. He was always so relaxed and cool, that Connor had no doubts that he was the person King of St. Jude's. It always seemed like he had control over whatever situation he was in, and while Connor frequently turned into a punching-bag type figure when Vincent was this drunk, Ricardo never did. "I wouldn't call it a party," Connor muttered as he took some of the empty beer bottles from the counter and carried them to the trash.

"I should get an award for still being in a good mood after spending the night with this buzzkill," Vincent chimed in, lifting his Jack and Coke in the air in a makeshift wave to acknowledge Rick. His phone vibrated against the counter, and Vincent couldn't hide the smirk that formed on his face. His mind was quickly filled with thoughts that were definitely X-rated, and now, not even boring Connor could kill his vibes. Realizing how lucky he was to have such a hot girlfriend sobered him up a tiny bit, but it was just momentary as he typed out a response.

To: Sienna
IDK HOW TO EVEN RESPOND TO THAT........ BE THERE SOON

Connor only rolled his eyes, nodding towards the fridge as he put the empty bottles in the trash. "There are beers in there if you want," he offered to Ricardo, although he was sure his friend would help himself if he wanted it, anyway. He followed Rick back towards the chairs and returned to his own. He knew that the conversation was going to lead back to him and his love life at some point, but after just hearing about it from Vincent, he didn't really care to talk about it again. "Sydney would never say yes to me," was Connor's first answer, as he reached out for the barely-consumed beer in front of him. "And I was going to ask Charlotte, but Syd didn't think it was a good idea, so she suggested Victoria. Unlike you two, I'm not really looking for a 'conquest' at all, and I don't even know Tori well, so I doubt it'll get that far tonight." He shrugged, trying to be nonchalant about it, before finding that Tori had sent him a text. He wasn't going to announce that now, especially with the criticism he was getting, so he texted her back discreetly, while also answering Leon's text.

To: Victoria
Hey! I'm excited too :). It should be fun!

To: Leon
The guys and I are leaving in 5-10 minutes, so I'd say you're safe to go whenever. I'd offer to pick you up, but Vincent is wasted and I don't want to subject you to that lol.

"With your track record, I doubt it'll get that far in the next five years," Vincent jumped in. "Trust me, Rick, I've spent the last hour trying to figure this out too. He's known Syd for his whole fucking life, and he let his brother tap that before he did, and then he's got Charlotte-let-me-fuck-you-Buchanan drooling over him and he chooses Victoria Walsh? She's got a cool vibe to her, but not the kinda vibe that'll mesh right with a bitch like you, Harkins," he continued, shaking his head at the thought. As he downed the rest of his drink, he grabbed his mask from beside him and fastened it around his head, before standing up. "I'm ready to get laid, and my girl's going commando tonight, so let's head out, boys," Vincent declared. He was normally vocal and sexual, but this was probably pushing it. It was just how he got when he was drunk, though. He would become obnoxious and lose his filters, and while he always felt invincible while on that high, he tended to say and do things that he regretted come the following morning.

Did she really just get her way? That was something that felt different and new, although it really wasn't. She was surprised- no, shocked, that neither Sienna nor Sydney pressed the issue any further, and the change of luck had Jane smiling victoriously. Maybe she really had convinced them this time, and now she could at least enjoy her night without feeling like she was sitting in an interrogation room. Following the much-anticipated end to the conversation, both of the blondes dispersed briefly to finish getting ready, and during that time, Jane took out her phone and sent a text to Charlotte. She had tried to convince herself that Charlotte was too busy on her own phone to hear what Tori had said, or maybe Jane had been lucky and Charlotte's hearing aid, or whatever the heck that thing was, had broken or something, right at the perfect moment. However, Jane knew that if she didn't address it now, she would be anxious about it all night, and would probably try to kill that anxiety by drowning herself in alcohol at a faster rate than she was already planning on doing.

To: Charlotte
Idk what Tori was talking about but can you not ever bring it up to anyone ever?

The way that she was adamant about Lottie never speaking of how Tori claimed that she was begging Brent for something probably suggested that Jane knew at least something about what she was talking about, but Jane didn't know how else to word it. She just didn't want Charlotte saying anything to Sienna, and possibly sparking up this whole drugs conversation again. Jane had magically squashed the conversation tonight, and she didn't think that she would be lucky enough to be able to do it twice in a row, if it came up again. When the girls returned to the front of the room, Jane quickly put her phone away and tried to relax. Sienna and Sydney were friends again, or so it seemed, and now, she wasn't the target of their "bullying". She had no reason to be upset or angry or stressed out, because this was as perfect as her friend group had been in a while. Granted, Piper wasn't there to see it, and Jane had probably just dug herself and Piper into a ditch by ratting Piper out, but Jane would shrug that off for now. It was what Piper deserved for not coming through with the pills.

"You know I'm always down for champagne!" she exclaimed, waiting for Sydney to step ahead before following her out of the room. Normally, Jane would have wanted to be in the middle of the two girls to keep them from muttering any rude remarks about the other and causing a fight, but tonight, it was to make sure that they didn't get too close and try to gang up on her again. She wanted them to be friends, but not so much as to where she felt left out of the friendship. When Sydney brought up Vincent so casually and coolly, Jane didn't know if she should be alarmed. She actually glanced back at Sienna, as they walked, hoping that she could read her expression before reacting, but the way that Sydney had said it didn't seem to be in a provoking or underhanded way. Jane wasn't great at reading hidden meanings, but she was trying to find one, and at least through Syd's tone, there didn't seem to be one. So, if this was now suddenly a normal conversation topic too, Jane decided that it couldn't hurt to ask a question that had been on her mind for a while as well. "What's going on with you and Vincent, anyway? Tell me you're finally over him, Sia!"

When Sydney stepped back out of the closet, Sienna was nodding her head in agreement to the text the blonde had sent and scooped her black embroidered clutch. She had set it down when Jane first entered the bedroom and honestly would have forgotten it had she not turned back around to make sure she had everything she needed.

Sienna giggled good-naturedly at Jane's exclamation and linked arms with her favorite brunette when Sydney stepped in front of them and was the first to leave the room. Some things never change, Sienna found herself thinking with a wry smirk. It was surprisingly easy for them to fall back into this pattern - natural, comfortable. Sienna didn't know what she had been looking for when being alone with Jane and Sydney, since she wouldn't have been surprised if that had ever been a part of Jane's plans to get her friends back together, but if she expected the worst case scenario, this definitely wasn't it. And maybe it was because she and Sydney were thinking about someone other than themselves and their problems. She couldn't even tell, the point was that as they exited her bedroom and she quickly shut off the lights before shutting the door behind them, she had to admit...she liked this.

She damn sure didn't like Jane's lies, but that was another story.

Which was why, for once, she didn't flinch when Sydney brought up Vincent. In fact, as the girls walked in the hallway, Sienna had allowed herself a chance to glance back at her phone and almost laughed aloud. She had to cloud that look over with a smirk, but her mirth might have been obvious when she met both Jane and Sydney's expectant stares. Especially after Jane practically demanded that she be over him already. The questioning forced her to sober up and Sienna hummed thoughtfully before replying, "Definitely think he's not sober, if that means anything." And it did mean a lot, especially for Sienna. Not just because he might say the wrong (or right, depending on who's involved) thing, but because...Vincent was two different ways when he was drunk. Sometimes one after the other, but always two different ways.

Rowdy and crass Vincent who was basically the regular Vincent that everyone else knew but with barely any filters. Again, he was almost himself but if he didn't have any filters not being drunk, his filters were definitely out the window at this point. Which meant trouble for Sienna if he didn't know how to keep his words (or hands) to himself in a crowded space. The other side was one that (as far as she was aware) only Sienna knew about, the one who would pitifully text her random phrases of i miss u and i still love you and plz don't hate me 4ever. The one who was super affectionate and practically needy and tore down at whatever invincible walls Sienna swore she had set up for the night when trying to take him home. Either way she put it, she was kinda screwed. Both literally since she was sure that was on Vincent's mind, and figuratively...considering what was on Vincent's mind.

Which was why a little bit of vague honesty seemed like the right move. "Ummm...it's a bit more...complicated than that," she answered, choosing at that moment to play with the ends of her hair. No matter what she did, that was always going to be Sienna's tell. "It's honestly a long pillow talk with lots and lots of wine, and me not in Giuseppe Zanotti." That explanation felt better and though she was feeling a bit uncomfortable, she made sure to address one small thing. Her words were originally directed towards Jane, but she firmly glanced at Sydney when stating resolutely, "But...if it does come down to it, you'll be the first to know." And Sydney would be. That had been her plan. Sienna couldn't have controlled Kelley even if she wanted to and she still had a bone to pick with Vincent for telling all of his family, but she was going to play her part. And tell Sydney when it came down to it. For now, she had guests.

When the trio descended the stairs (and when was the last time anyone had seen them do this?), Sienna noted that the girls gone were the same ones who text her. Girls from the dance studio Constance had a partnership with, her sister and friends (which sucked cuz Sienna hadn't gotten the chance to take pics) a few she had dinner with once before, Piper...Carolina. That caused a frown to form...but Sienna noted the remaining, including Rose, Charlotte...Tori. Sienna only glanced for a moment at Sydney before smiling at the group, particularly Charlotte.

"Look at my flawless Madam President slaying the Cinderella game," she exclaimed excitedly, taking in Charlotte's white gown and what she had done to her hair. She stepped closer to the blonde at that moment, murmuring low and teasingly, "Tryna' make Harkins eat his heart out?" She winked at the blonde playfully before being snatched up by a classmate. In particular, one of her back-up dancers, Katie. Who was always a fashion buff. "So, first of all, you abandon us only to come out as squad goals," Katie started with a playfully accusatory tone, but then eyes Sienna hungrily. Or, more her dress hungrily. "And then you come out with a dress that hasn't even hit the runway yet!? Matthew Williamson?" Sienna only grinned, pulling herself from the brunette's grip and heading over to the bar set up in the room to grab the champagne from the fridge. "The one and only," she replied with a grin and started getting glasses out. "So, obvi it's almost about that time, but one last toast to one of the best nights ever is the last thing on my agenda. Ladies, grab a glass. Not one person in this room better have a glass of water."

Rick only smirked at the expression on Connor's face as he set to attempting to clean up and decidedly stared at Vincent when the guy took another swig of alcohol. Ric and Vincent had a pecular relationship at times, particularly when Vincent was drunk. On one hand, Ric might choose to join the other athlete in his i-don't-give-a-fuck attitude and just go all out. Other times...Vincent was simply entertainment. Maybe it said something about Ricardo for having everyone who surrounded him be of some entertainment value, he didn't know, but his friend was...amusing during these times. Connor might have thought Ric's control was easy when it came to their friend and in a sense, it was...but there were other moments. Ones he wasn't even sure Connor knew about...like when Vincent would be real honest of all a sudden about how he really felt about Sienna. Those were his most entertaining.

"I don't know, man," he said, chuckling at the face his friend made from reading some text on his phone. "I don't know who should get an award...you for managing to be drunk before we even get to the party, or Connor for having the patience of a saint. How many Jack and cokes did you have?" It left him laughing again.

As Connor explained his situation, Ric narrowed his eyes slightly, but did not say anything. And almost didn't when Vincent decided to chime in. And maybe that had to do with Sydney texting him in the middle of Connor speaking, resulting in Ricardo splitting his attention between his friend and his phone. He smirked at her response, at how quick she was to the draw.

To: Sydney
Evry man's a dreamer at his core. Takes only the beautiful 2 bring it out

To: Sydney
Leaving now

"Yeah, let's. The girls are ready anyway." Ricardo replied distractedly. Just as he slid his phone back into his pocket, Rick caught wind of...what did Vincent just say? Yeah, his friend had said it was time to go and Rick would have done the same if he had been quicker, but...what? Did he say...girlfriend? Rick glanced at Connor only momentarily before a slow smirk slid across his face, eyes twinkling with mischief. And this was why he loved a drunk Vincent. Instead of attacking his friend head-on for his admittance, Ricardo turned to Connor purposefully as the trio headed out, clapping a hand on the nice guy's shoulder. "Not gonna tell you what to do, but I'll tell you like I told the drunk asshat over there. Your girl's not gonna wait forever." He hummed thoughtfully for a moment before continuing, "Dude, I won't even lie to you and tell you that you had a chance with Sydney. Because you didn't, let's just be honest. But Buchanan...? Let's just say that you can follow Sydney's orders all you want, but someone else will be all over Buchanan at some point tonight when we both know you wanna be. So, you decide. Let someone else come after your girl or go get her yourself. Your choice." Rick left it at that. He didn't know Victoria Walsh that much nor cared about her at all, but he did like Charlotte. And if she was still nursing that crush on Connor, it was only a matter of time before his inaction caused her to lose it. Which prompted him to shoot her a text too. And Sienna too.

To: Sia
Ur boy toy's drunk

To: Madam President
U already kno who I'm talking about, but know that he doesn't want her. He's stupid

As soon as they got into the very spacious, twenty-seat limousine, Rick turned his full attention on Vincent. He relaxed in the back seat of the limousine, arms splayed out behind him on the seat rather comfortably. Hell, he probably looked harmless in this pose, legs crossed and a light smirk on his face. Except his eyes glinted in the dim lights of the limousine and when he felt the vehicle move, that was when he attacked. "But the real question of the night goes over to my man Vince over here," he stated, eyeing the athlete with a growing smirk. He glanced at Connor for a moment, regaling him with, "See, I asked him a while ago to go talk to Sia. You know, man up and square things away. But some people like dodging my questions and now..." Rick turned his full attention back to Vincent with an arched eyebrow. "And now, you've got a girl, Vince? Since when?"

He read through his emails as he waited for a response from either Carolina or Connor. There wasn't much- newsletters, the odd spam message offering to sell him "pIlLz!!" that had somehow managed to slip through his spam filters, and one or two from people in Boston. He replied to the latter, and was considering seeing what would happen if he replied to the spam messages when Carolina's message came in.

To: Carolina
"sure thing- will be along shortly, depending on if mother intercepts me or not."

As he was putting on his mask, his phone buzzed again. Typical, he waited however long for one reply, and then the two came within three minutes of each other. He finished tying on the mask and read the text. Smirking a little, he replied.

To: Connor
"drunk vincent? hell no. i'm gonna meet up with carolina now anyway, i'll see you there."

"Mom, I'm going!" He yelled, making his way towards the door. But she intercepted him, iPhone in hand for the photos. "You know, Leon, it's a shame you don't have a date," she remarked as he pulled a smile for the photo. "I'm surprised you're not going with Carolina," she continued. Leon dropped the smile and rolled his eyes.

"It's not like that, Mom, and-"
"Yes, darling, I know, but boys and girls can go as friends nowadays!"
"-and nobody's going in couples, anyway," he finished. He put his smile back on as she lifted the phone again.
"Still, couple photos always look nice. The driver's waiting for you downstairs. Have a nice time, and be responsible!" She ordered, and he nodded, heading out into the hall and into the lift.

The driver greeted him at the door, and walked him to the car. The driver, like all of the staff, was usually silent, only ever asking, "how was your day, Master Leon?" That was a quality Leon liked- he wasn't particularly fond of people who asked too many questions.

As they neared the hotel, Leon sent Carolina another text.

To: Carolina
"almost at the hotel. where'll i meet you guys?"

Piper had certainly picked the location well. It was grand enough to stand up to any of the other parties he'd been to in New York, and judging from the people who swarmed around in the lobby, they'd all fit in well.

Sienna's response that things with Vincent were complicated was something that Jane had heard before. Things always seemed to be complicated between her friend and the ex-boyfriend, and Jane didn't understand why. Yes, Vincent was incredibly attractive, and yes, he did have a way with words when he was trying to woo a girl, but Sienna wasn't just going to be one of his one-night stands. She knew what Vincent was all about, and Jane felt like she deserved more than that. Vincent didn't deserve a second chance with Sienna when virtually every other guy at St. Jude's were still waiting for their first chance with her. Jane was no relationship expert, and tonight, she was just happy that the girls had agreed to postpone the tension, so she didn't push Sia any further. She would save her attempts to reason with the girl until that pillow talk, if Sia and Sydney managed to stay friends until then.

While Sienna took the lead and led them back to the party, Jane caught up with Sydney and linked her arm with her. "And now we can actually have a real pillow talk, since you guys are friends again!" Jane smiled, pulling the blonde towards a tray of champagne. "Did you tell her that you were sorry?" Jane wasn't thinking. Her mind was already on the toast that champagne was insisting the group do, and there was no filter in place to prevent the thoughts in her mind from reaching her mouth when she was distracted. The question was something that she was curious about. She was definitely happy about it, but she didn't understand how Sydney and Sienna were suddenly being civil... maybe even nice to each other again. She hoped this day would come again, but she assumed that she would at least be there to hear them work it all out, and she did imagine that they both would have to apologize for something to regain each other's trust. It wasn't mind blowing to imagine Sia apologizing for making that post, or at least being behind it (since Jane still wasn't sure if Sienna actually ran it or not). Sienna was dramatic and could be vindictive and stubborn sometimes, but she had a heart and Jane was sure that she would be the first one to come around in this fight. With Sydney, that wasn't so true. Jane couldn't recall a time when Sydney had genuinely apologized for doing something wrong, because in Sydney's world, she was never wrong. In this case, especially, Jane just couldn't see Sienna apologizing for it, after claiming that Sienna had made it up for attention and pity too. Picking up two glasses, she handed one to Sydney and took a large sip of her own. "I feel like you should get drunk tonight. You never get drunk with me." She felt the need to keep the conversation going with Sydney, and she remained rather close to her because she didn't want to even give the chance for Victoria or Charlotte to approach her. She didn't want to relive the panic that she had managed to needle her way out of moments before upstairs.

The amount of Jack and Coke's that Vincent had didn't matter. He had lost count, for one, but he didn't think he needed to keep track. Tonight, he planned on letting lose. After the stressful evening he had had the day before, and the past week, he thought that he deserved a night of relaxation to celebrate his recent success. It probably wouldn't be apparent by his behavior tonight, but he was really content with himself for finally managing to win Sienna back. He told himself that it was the last time that he was ever going to need to do that, because this time around, he wasn't going to let her go. He knew that he had the best girl out there, so there was no need to ever think, want, or consider cheating. In the words of Morello, his favorite character on Orange is the New Black, that Kelley insisted he start watching, "You don't go Jessica Simpson when you've got Rihanna." Anyone else would be a downgrade from the girl he had now, because not only was Sienna physically perfect, but emotionally, she was the perfect girl for him too. They just clicked.

"Since when?" Vincent repeated, as if Ricardo's question was the most bizarre one in the world. The confused, almost astonished look on his face transformed into a more confident- no, cocky one as he leaned back in his seat, making himself comfortable before replying. "Since freshman year, dude. I never actually lost Sienna. I took some time off to collect some v-cards, and now I'm back. You've gotta settle down at some point, and you know, after taking her's and Sydney's, along with a bunch of girls whose names weren't important enough to stick, I think I'm good. I mean, if Harkins isn't gonna sleep with Charlotte, I'd be happy to add her to my list, but for now, I've got my girl back and life is pretty good." Vincent was being conceited and boastful, and it was a trait that occasionally landed him on the aggressive end of bar fights. Along with the rise in his blood alcohol content level, came a rise in his ego, which said a lot, considering his ego was pretty big at a sober level anyway. "But I think the real question of the night goes back to you, Rick. Which lucky lady are you going to be taking home tonight?"

To: Sienna
We're like a minute away. Come down. I saved a seat for u on my lap then there's room for jane and charlotte next to me ;)

Vincent didn't know where they actually were, but Connor didn't live far from Sienna, so the one minute estimate probably wasn't too far from off. The time accuracy was the last thing that would probably be the focal point of the text though. He was already being obnoxious, and he knew it, but he was too drunk to realize that things like that weren't appropriate to say to a girlfriend. He did, however, know better than to insist Sydney sit next to him. That was a level he wouldn't reach for a few more drinks.

Sydney had brought up Vincent to establish that she was still in control of the situation, in the way that she was now establishing that she was over it. She was going to move on from the animosity between them regarding Vincent, and if that meant acknowledging that Sienna still had a relationship with him, then so be it. She just wanted to do things on her terms, so she wasn't really prepared for Jane pressing further. Luckily, Sienna remained fairly tight-lipped, but Sydney was good at reading people, and she could tell that it probably wasn't as complicated as Sienna claimed. She still liked him, he still liked her, big fucking news. Rather than act bothered, though, Sydney just smiled when Sienna insisted they'd be the first to know.

If Sydney wasn't already feeling low on patience with Jane, she hit that point when the girl insinuated that she had something to apologize to Sienna about. Of course, Sydney did. She slept with Vincent, and yes, that was very wrong, but Sienna was the one who tried to destroy her image. Wasn't that worse? Sydney thought so, and it took a lot of restraint for her to not berate Jane right there. On the surface, it was annoying because Sydney didn't think she was wrong, but additionally, she disliked how Jane was on Sienna's side. Whether it was intentional or not, or whether Jane realized it or not, that line insisted that she was taking Sia's side. Sydney wanted to believe that now they could put all of it behind them, but that was too idealistic. She wasn't stupid, and while she was glad to be where she was with Sienna, she knew that that book wasn't closed for good. It did bother her, though, that after all of the convincing she had felt she had done with Jane, that the brunette was still siding with Sienna. Did she not understand how vicious Sienna had been when making that post... or when making Victoria make that post? Sydney wanted to snap, but she didn't. She only met Jane's curious, innocent and somewhat distracted glance with a longer, pensive look, before saying, "We worked things out." It didn't answer the question directly, but Sydney didn't even think that Jane was still listening, as a second later, she was handing her a glass of champagne and talking about getting drunk.

It was something that she knew would never happen, but with Jane just admitting that she used drugs, Sydney wanted to insist that her friend stop drinking all together as well. She had learned that conversing with Jane was impossible tonight, though, and she wasn't going to make a scene. No, Sydney was going to continue her act of seeming bored and disinterested in Sienna's party, and she'd keep it up at Piper's lackluster affair, until she snapped and confronted Tori, or Jane, or Brent. "Maybe," and a shrug was all that Sydney responded to the question with. She left it at that, because then Sienna was toasting to the night and Sydney kept her mouth shut. A minimal smile remained on her face as she raised her glass, and while she emptied it like the rest of them, she really had no intentions of getting drunk. There was a difference between hitting a level of being buzzed and getting drunk. The first was going to be necessary to survive the night, but the latter would be dangerous and unhealthy for her in more ways that one. Sydney didn't typically get drunk to a point where she was inebriated. It defied her need for control, and she found that being so out of control and all of over the place looked trashy in others, so she didn't want to look that way herself. It didn't fit the classy image that she strived for. Besides, even if she did want to get drunk, she couldn't do it with Jane, because Jane was going to get way too drunk, like always, and Sydney couldn't be that drunk at the same time if she was expected to take care of her friend.

Connor was certainly ready to pick up the girls by the time that Vincent had suggested it. For one, he was excited to get on with the night, but more so, he had had enough of the guys ripping into him and was ready for a change of social scenery. With Rick, it wasn't as bad as Vincent, because Ricardo was at least making sense with what he was saying. Connor knew that it was true, that if he didn't make a move on Charlotte, that someone else would, and she would find someone who was ten times better looking, and smarter, and cooler than he, and his chance at being with her would be gone for good. However, he trusted Sydney enough to think that this was the guys just trying to boost his courage and influence him into stepping outside of his comfort zone. It was nice to hear that he had a shot with Lottie, not so much that he never had a chance with Sydney, and again, not so much to be reminded that his chances with Charlotte were fleeting. He had agreed to go to the party with Victoria, though. Even though he barely knew her and didn't experience that head over heels feeling he had with Lottie and Sydney, he still was a good guy. He wasn't just going to ditch her for Charlotte, after committing to attending with her. It would be mean, and Connor just wasn't that kind of guy. Plus, he really didn't know if he actually had a chance with Charlotte, so it was just one more reason for him to hide out in his comfort zone and do nothing about those feelings. "Yeah, I'll see how it goes tonight, I guess..." Connor mumbled in response to Ricardo, since he wasn't even going to entertain Vince in conversation right now.

To: Leon
Ok cool, see you there!

He had turned his attention to his phone and Ricardo tuned in on Vincent, but glanced up and listened as Vincent just made it more clear that he really was already wasted. He boasted about how he had had Sienna all this time, and was just keeping her on the side while he enjoyed the single life where he could sleep with every girl. That, Connor knew was 100% just drunk talk. He knew Vince and Sienna never lost all of their feelings for each other, but Connor had been there to witness some of the moments where the drunk Vincent was begging for Sienna back. Back then, he certainly didn't seem as confident in their relationship as he did now. Then, he reconfirmed how he would happily sleep with Charlotte if Connor wasn't going to do it, and though Connor wanted to tell Vincent to fuck off, he refrained. He knew better than to give Vincent anymore fuel to consider being an asshole, and just glanced at Ricardo with annoyance, waiting for the guy's response to Vincent's question. When the car stopped, Connor breathed an audible sigh of relief, and turned to his phone, though he was sure the guys had probably already sent out some arrival texts of their own.

To: Sydney
We're downstairs :)

To: Charlotte
We're here, can't wait to see you!

To: Sienna
Good luck with Vincent... btw, any word on Adam?

To: Victoria
Hey, I'm in the limo downstairs with the guys.

Before Charlotte could even say anything to Jane or to Tori to defend Jane. The girl was gone, leaving Tori and Charlotte alone for the time being. Lottie just smiled towards the girl not knowing what to say to her. She didn't want to bring up Connor and she felt like whatever she said Tori might try to bring it back to her date with Connor. Which was something she couldn't handle. She was already freaking out because of everything else today and the last thing she needed was to hear Tori go on and on about her amazing date, Connor. So, she fixed her implant and a piece of her hair before speaking. "You look really pretty, Tori." That was about all she could say when she finally saw Rosie completely dressed with her ruby red gown flowing as she walked out with her mask on and Lottie's mask and clutch in hand. She smiled towards her sister but lost it the second she saw Tori right next to Lottie. Charlotte stood up when she saw her sister, towering over Tori as she turned towards her sister. "Here let's get your mask on to hide that face of yours." Lottie nudged her sister who had a smirk on her face as she tied a ribbon in the back of Lottie's head before pulling her hair over the ribbon to make it look close to invisible. Lottie grabbed for her phone and decided to text Connor to give him a little encouragement before his date. Knowing him he was probably nervous about it. When Rosie saw Connor's name pop up, she smirked before looking at Tori swiftly before turning back to her sister.

"Your little Prince Connor's going to go crazy when he sees you tonight." Charlotte's eyes widened as she turned to her sister to tell her to shut up. She knew what she was doing. She was trying to get to Tori and get under her skin."N--No, he's got Tori. He ain't gonna pay any attention to me." Rose covered up her laugh. "Yea, totally. That's totally what's gonna happen." Lottie turn to her again to tell Rose to stop antagonizing before sending the message to Connor.

      To : Connor <3

Hey! I know you're probably nervous about tonight. Don't be. You're an amazing guy and you're gonna have an amazin night with her. Just keep an open mind. :)

She put her phone in her bag, not bothering to reply to Sienna since it just said that she would be down soon. What was she up to? And where was Jane and Sydney? Oh, now it clicked. Their little group was back to normal. Meaning Lottie would fade back into the background since Sydney sleeping with Vincent was totally okay now. "C'mon let me go fix your lips since those are exactly what he's gonna be looking at all night." Rose pulled her sister away who just had an annoyed look on her face. "What?"

"Why do you gotta be like that?" Lottie asked with her lips in a small frown as Rose chuckled. "Because, c'mon it's so easy. And she took your date." Charlotte groaned. "She didn't take Connor from me. Connor asked her and look if he likes and wants her. I'm not gettin' in the way of that and neither or you, got it? Connor's our friend and if he wants... Tori--.."

"Even though she was his second choice."

"No she wasn't. And if he wants Tori then who are we to get in the way of that?" She had a good point even though Rose wouldn't say it out loud. Rose groaned like a child as she pouted. "Fine." Charlotte rolled her eyes as she fixed one Rose's spiraling curls that framed her face just right. "Now c'mon, let's go join the others. I think I heard them come down." As they walked out of the room, Charlotte looked up at Sienna with a smile. Which only got bigger when Sienna made her way over to her. "Look at my flawless Madam President slaying the Cinderella game," Lottie chuckled as she slipped a piece of hair behind her ear as Sienna moved closer to her. "Tryna' make Harkins eat his heart out?" She forced a chuckle but on the inside she was getting annoyed if one more person brought up Connor or her and Connor she was going to explode. He was with Tori. End of story. "Please, he's got Tori for that." She smiled softly before Sienna moved away and wanted to do a toast. "So, obvi it's almost about that time, but one last toast to one of the best nights ever is the last thing on my agenda. Ladies, grab a glass. Not one person in this room better have a glass of water." Rosie stared at Lottie who just rolled her eyes as she grabbed one of the glasses. As they toasted, Lottie gave her glass to Rosie to drink seeing that Rose never turned down free liquor. Lottie felt her phone buzz. She looked down at the message and rolled her eyes with a sharp sigh as she started her reply.

      To : Ricky

Ricky, if he didn't want her. He wouldn't have asked her.

And she left it at that before getting a text from Connor as well. Rose looked over as she smirked at Connor's name. "Aw, he can't wait to see you." Lottie rolled her eyes once more as she nudged Rose. "He's my best friend. If he sent me this just think of the cute message he sent Tori over there." Charlotte was doing everything to underplay anything and everything people were telling her. She fixed her mask and the bottom of her gown waiting for the group to make their way to the guys.

Sienna welcomed the bubbly liquid the second it slid down her throat. While some people loved champagne and such, Sienna was always a wine girl, red to be exact. It was a weird preference for a soon-to-be seventeen year old, but her father's side of the family allowed kids to start drinking after the age of thirteen. Against the law, but it was whatever. Sienna had developed a love for the richness and surprising bitterness of red wine early, a dark contrast to her love for sweet and fruity cocktails, but it probably wouldn't have been great to be pulling out their bottle of 1962 Domaine Henri Jayer Richebourg Grand Cru. Or, at least, it was too early in the evening to be pulling it out. That deserved a good meal.

As she set her glass down, Katie and the other girls' limos and rides were arriving and moving to see them off, Sienna received notification from both Ricardo and Vincent, and then from Connor. The latter forcing her to give pause, roll her eyes, and then grab a water bottle from the miniature fridge she was closest to before turning to Charlotte, Rosie, Jane and Sydney. "We should head down. The boys are pulling up now." Sienna gave herself one quick perusal in the glass that framed the hallway leading to the main elevator going downstairs before texting the guys back. She also sent one to Victoria, who seemingly disappeared.

To: Vincent

To: Tori
Hey, girlie!!! Where'd u go? Ur date's waiting all patiently downstairs 4 u

Bartering him with sex, even though that was probably already on the agenda anyway, was the first thing that came to mind and it wasn't like Sienna didn't have tricks or anything. She just didn't need Vincent...being too extra tonight, especially with everyone in this limousine together. It was going to be ridiculous and no amount of alcohol was going to make her not uncomfortable if Vincent made this trip unbearable. Besides, all he needed to do was temper himself for a good five minutes. That's how much she estimated the time it took to get to the ballroom Piper specified was going to take. Five minutes, ten at the latest. He could behave, right?

As soon as they got outside, Rick's driver greeted everyone and opened the door, and Ricardo's gleeful face was the first she saw. And Sienna rolled her eyes because Rick always had that damn knowing glint in his eyes, and he looked extremely amused which meant Vincent had said something, and she slid into the limo, conveniently sitting beside the lacrosse player and handing him the water bottle. She gave Vincent a small smile, a warning in her eyes, before turning her attention to Connor. "Hey, love. You're looking dapper."

The entire ride to the apartment building that the Alvarez family resided in was spent with Ricardo wearing the most indulgent of smiles. Or smirks, whichever one you wanted to call it. All of it because Vincent was hilarious as fuck when drunk and obviously loose-lipped because Rick just getting the notification that Vienna - as he liked to call them despite Sienna's absolute abhorrence of the ship name - was back to sailing. He had a failing Vincent would regret being so honest tonight or at least, so out of control - especially when everyone was situated in the limousine. But, naturally, like in most cases, the guilt wouldn't hit him until morning when he had to face the fact that - to be quite honest - Vincent Mast should not be allowed to drink copious amounts of alcohol.

Ever.

Yet and still, Rick had something to tease Sienna about. He ignored most of Vincent's little rant, especially because he knew - more than even Connor sometimes - how much the idiot did not have Sienna all these years and how...honestly, how pathetic it made him. The times when Sienna would beg him to go get Vincent from his drunken fits instead of doing it herself (which still amused him because he hadn't thought she would even answer Vincent's calls during those times) were all the more proof that the dumbass was off his rocker, but Rick didn't even try to deny him his drunken dishonesty. He could allow his friend a night of foolishness, especially if that meant Ricardo received entertainment for the evening. There was only so much entertaining people pretending like no one recognized them in masks could do for the guy, after all.

At being questioned about his possible conquest for the night, Rick only shrugged nonchalantly and folded his arms over his chest comfortably. "We'll see." Was the only response he gave and it was the only one he was willing to, though the smirk on his face remained devious. As always. Rick never divulged in his plans for the evenings, especially not now when he was just looking for fun and it could be found in one girl at the ballroom. Luckily, he didn't have to get pressed for more because they were outside of the complex and before long, Sienna was leading the girls downstairs. Looking absolutely scrumptious in the cut-out masterpiece, lending to him glancing back at Vincent slyly while stating, "You know, if I don't wind up taking your girl home." Of course, he wasn't serious, especially knowing now how they were serious again, but he just wanted to see the reaction on the guy's face even as his favorite Latina sat beside her boyfriend.

"Ladies, ladies, if I would've known you'd all be Fashion Week ready, I'd be a bit better prepared," he commented as everyone entered the limousine. There was enough room in the spacious vehicle for people to maneuver to whatever seat they preferred, and Rick chose not to move from his, which was closest to the window. "Still, you all are looking absolutely lovely tonight...though, where's Walsh?"

Sydney was clearly being short with her, and after this night, Jane knew that her only option was to drink a lot tonight. There was going to be no other way to survive it, especially when the actual night hadn't even started yet! She supposed that when they got to the party, things would be better. On one hand, they couldn't really get any worse, and additionally, it would be easier for her to slip away from the drama if she needed to in the crowded ballroom. Sydney would have all of her followers to occupy herself with, and maybe even Sienna too, since they had apparently "worked things out". Jane would do her best to avoid Piper, who she had sold out and was still feeling animosity towards because she hadn't gotten her the pills. She would have to refrain from engaging with Charlotte too, at least until she was pretty intoxicated, since she wasn't sure if Lottie would push what Victoria had said in front of her. No matter what happened, the fact that she needed to be wasted was a constant factor in each situation.

Her second champagne glass was empty as she set it back down on a table and looked to Sydney. Sienna had announced a moment before that the boys were waiting downstairs, and that it was time to leave. "This is going to be fun. Let's make it fun," she insisted, taking Sydney's hands as she gave her a pleading look. She wanted it to be fun, but more than anything, she wanted to ensure that she would be left alone for the night. If no one else wanted to have fun, then so be it, but Jane wanted to be able to do her thing without having to worry about being interrogated like she had just killed someone. She gave only a slight pause for Sydney to respond, before tugging the girl towards the others, who were already heading downstairs. "Jon said he's going tonight. Do you think I should hook up with him?" Jon Legrand was the son of Alex Legrand, Jane's father's best friend. He attended The Lycรฉe Franรงais de New York, a private French school in New York. He was cute and very much into Jane, but she had never taken advantage of it. Jane had been too enthralled in her illness, and alcohol to distract herself from that illness, to ever really pursue any romantic relationships. She was too insecure and too uncomfortable with herself to actually invest herself in someone else too. It wasn't like she didn't want something like that, though. When she wasn't in the mindset of wanting to keep everyone at bay to keep her illness safe, she fantasized over having that perfect boyfriend just as much as anyone else. If she was drunk enough tonight, she figured she could at least have some fun with the guy.

She grabbed her clutch and took a few seconds to double check her appearance before leaving the apartment. Moments later, they were curbside, getting into the limo. "We cannot let Sienna get back into that whole Vincent thing again," she whispered to Sydney, impulsively, before sliding into the car. No matter how Vincent could be with words and apologies, Jane didn't think Sienna needed to go back down that route. It was probably too early in this revived friendship for Sydney to care that much too, especially with what went on with Sydney and Vincent, but Jane wanted to make things normal again. Plus, if they focused on how Sienna was hurting herself by giving Vincent another chance, there would be less attention on Jane. She didn't care that Sienna had already brushed the topic off tonight. If Jane needed to, she'd put her on the spot just as she had done with Piper.

The limo was populated with just Connor, Vincent and Ricardo, so there was more than enough space as the girls slid in. All three of the boys did look dapper, as Sienna complimented Connor with, and as Jane's attention reigned in on Vincent, she couldn't blame Sienna if she did go back to Vincent. Physically, he was almost irresistible, and even drunk, he looked fine. Jane knew his personality and history enough that he wasn't attractive to her in that way, but she could see why he was to so many girls. "She's getting her own ride, we can leave without her," Jane insisted quickly, when Ricardo brought up Victoria. Jane actually had no idea where Connor's date was, and didn't know that what she said was true, but she was content with the idea of leaving Tori behind, even if she was still in Sienna's apartment. The last thing she needed was Victoria saying what she had said in front of Charlotte, in front of the rest of the car too. She had admitted to being involved with those drugs in the past to her two best friends, but Jane would probably consider drinking herself to death tonight if it was brought up again, especially around others.

Normally, Sydney enjoyed being in the Alvarez household. Despite Sienna wanting to cry about her family life, Sydney envied what she had. Her house maintained that regal flair that many Upper East Side homes had, where it felt wrong to even step on the rugs because they seemed too expensive, yet it also felt like a home. A real home, with real parents and real siblings. It was easier for Sydney to feel that way when she had witnessed the silly mother-daughter fights between Sienna and Cynthia, and the genuine love that Sienna and Esmee shared. Tonight, she was more than ready to leave, though, so when she received the text from Connor saying they were there, and then Sienna announced that it was time to go, Sydney felt nothing but relief. She was still in a state of shock over the newest advancement in their case with Jane, but it seemed like it was necessary not to react to it any further tonight. Sydney would maintain her composure for the night, but it wasn't going to be easy. How could it possibly be, after finding out that her best friend was not only sick (and in denial), but was using drugs to further the illness too? And then, on top of that, that the person who was apparently encouraging that drug use was another one of their friends! Even just thinking about it being a possibility made Sydney want to ruin Piper over it then and there.

Although she knew she had the power to do it on her own, that thought led her back to Victoria. The brunette was no longer around, and since Sienna's other friends had now left for the party, it seemed safe to say that Tori wasn't even in the apartment. Sydney easily could have resented Victoria since now she also was trying to believe that it really was her behind the blog, and not Sienna, which meant that it had been her who had hit the enter key on the post about her and Vincent. Strangely, she didn't hate Victoria though. She didn't care about her enough to hate her. On one hand, she was impressed that the girl had managed to remain anonymous for so long when she knew a lot of heavy gossip. On the other hand, though, she was still Victoria Walsh, and no amount of scandalous Upper East Side knowledge would put her in a position of power unless Sydney wanted her there. If anything, she kind of pitied the girl, who she now had even more of a reason to treat poorly. She didn't hate her, so she wasn't going to out her for running the blog, but she did need to address the girl in the near future. If nothing else, Tori Walsh needed to be put back into her place, because no nameless, unimportant bitch had the right to even think about threatening any of her friends.

Sydney held back a roll of her eyes, finished off her champagne as well, and nodded to Jane's attempt at being enthusiastic about the night. "I'm sure it'll be fun. Just don't drink too much, okay? You look too good to spend half of the night on the bathroom floor," she smiled. She didn't think that the night was going to be fun. She was feeling way too uptight and out of control, and if her presence wasn't necessary to assert her power, she would have pulled a Jane and went home. Honestly, the last person that was on her mind was Vincent. She wasn't nervous about seeing him because she just planned on pretending that he didn't exist. He had betrayed her, which wasn't really important anymore because she didn't care about trusting him since she was going to try to be a good friend to Sienna now, but still... "And if there's a connection, I think you should go for it. I always told you that Jon is so cute, and he really is into you, Jane. Do it if you want to, but not just because you're drunk. You're not that kind of girl." It was her reminder for Jane to remain classy as they headed out of the apartment with the twins and Sienna.

Meanwhile, outside of Sienna's building, it was apparent that it was going to take more than a change of scenery to lower Vincent's buzz. As the minutes went by, he felt like the alcohol from Connor's was actually beginning to hit him more. That didn't stop him from craving more of it, and though he was sure there was alcohol in the limo, he was too lazy to actually ask Ricardo to get some. Connor was being quiet, which easily could have provoked Vincent into being more aggressive towards him and demanding that he make a move on any of the girls the moment they got into the limo, but he was too focused on Ricardo and the comment he had just made. He was going to take Sienna home? Vincent had always been very nonchalant about that in the past, because he tried to play it cool in front of his friends, and not make it seem like he was in love with Sienna. Rick saw through that, and it was probably one of the main reasons why he liked to poke fun at Vincent like this, but drunk Vincent didn't think it was playful or funny tonight. Instead, it pissed him off, and that anger only intensified when he caught the look on Ricardo's face as he said it. Had the car door not opened up just then, Vincent probably would have told Rick to go fuck himself, or that he could take Sienna home because he could take a million bitches home too if he wanted to. He couldn't utter a word though, because before he knew it, the girls were pouring into the car, and Sienna was next to him, placing a water bottle in his lap. He hadn't read her text message, and only saw it when he pulled out his phone to send her a message. Luckily, Vincent had the sense to text what he wanted to say to her, instead of saying it out loud.

To: Sienna
Ur not gonna sit next to Rick? I heard ull be sitting on his face later so why don't you just cut to the chase and do it now?

Of course, before Sydney stepped into the limo, Jane had to bring the Sienna-Vincent relationship up once again. Did she not realize that this was the last thing that Sydney wanted to talk about? She still couldn't figure out how responsible she wanted to hold herself for what she had done with Vincent, but she knew that she felt guilty about it. She was trying not to linger on it at all, but it was hard when Jane kept bringing him up, even if it was as innocent as this, where she was hoping they could team up to look after Sienna. "I'm sure that Sienna will tell us what's going on, but no matter what, I don't think that it's my place to get involved." It seemed like the most civil response that Sydney could have to the situation, and refusing to engage further, she stepped into the limousine behind Sienna.

She opted for a seat across from Ricardo, who was looking particularly classy tonight. Without noticing, a relaxed smile formed as she gazed at him, but when she did notice, she pulled her eyes away and looked towards the others. Connor was looking adorable, and she felt like it was her responsibility to tell him that Victoria had vanished, but before she could, Jane jumped in and claimed Tori had gotten her own ride. "She's excited to see you tonight though, Connor," Sydney chimed in, in a petty enough way where she made sure Charlotte was seated by the time she spoke. Why the idea of Connor and Charlotte being together bothered her so much, even she didn't know. She just didn't want it to happen, and "just because" had always been enough of a reason for Sydney to get away with things. Although Sydney only looked towards Sienna and Vincent for a moment, it was easy to pick out how unsettled Vincent looked. Between his tense stature, his angered expression, and the way his hands clenched the water bottle as if he were a stress ball, it was clear that something was wrong. Sydney wondered what it was, but she was going to stay true with what she said to Jane for now, and just not get involved in anything involving him.

To say Sienna was extremely lost as to why there was suddenly tension between herself and Vincent was a complete understatement. They were literally fine seconds ago and as soon as he even regarded her with a miniscule glance - didn't even take in her dress, mind you - all she could feel was...animosity. Misplaced, if you asked her since she had not even done anything at all other than give him a bottle of water to get over whatever shit ton of alcohol he had already consumed for the night - but it was animosity nonetheless and luckily, he didn't give her too much time to mull over it for he texted her as everyone else filed into the limousine.

"I don't..." Sienna had enough sense of mind to lean over and start to whisper to Vincent, but...what was she supposed to be saying anyway? And what the fuck did Ricardo do now? The thought caused her to glare in his direction and, without fail, Ric seemed to be prepared for her silent hostility for he was staring right at her. Narrowing her eyes and realizing that she couldn't exactly have the conversation she wanted to have, Sienna huffed dramatically and set to sending out a text to Vincent, sending another to Victoria to settle her nerves. Funny how texting someone she wanted to destroy felt better than whatever crawled up her boyfriend's ass and died.

To: Vince
Why the hell would I do that when I have you? Wtf happened?

To: Tori
You do know it's rude to not be here when ur date shows up, rite??

Ricardo wasn't surprised to see the surly expression on Vincent's face as the girls climbed into the limousine and only found himself smirking at Sienna's perplexed face. More so, it was funny just to know that Vincent was so...malleable. If the jock truly wanted the antagonizing to stop, all he had to do was lay his claim down and tell Ric to back off. Of course, Ricardo could just do so and maybe he'd leave his friend alone for the night, at least until he sobered up. But it was also hilarious and Rick had half the mind to call the couple out when Jane responded to his inquiry about Victoria. He hummed noncommittally and felt eyes on him, moving just in time to catch a glimmer of what appeared to be Sydney turning her gaze away from him.

Giving Ric a safe chance to...admire. As always, Sydney's gown was conservative with the right amount of class and the color seemed to bring out the remnants of her summer tan, making her hair seem more golden under the dim lights of the stretch limousine. And if anyone asked had there been a warmer smile on his face than when the others arrived, Ric would deny it vehemently for he replaced it almost as soon as he felt it appear on his face with a smirk directed towards Connor. "Shame, man," he lamented before returning his attention to Sydney, ignoring the second glare that Sienna tossed his way. Once the door closed behind Rosie and Charlotte, it was only a minute and the vehicle was in motion. "And what about you, Vale? Feeling any particular excitement for the evening?"

The venue looked great as they stepped inside. There were already people there, and at this point, Piper wasn't worried about making as grand of an entrance as she had planned on. She was photographed by the hired photographers as she entered, double checked the guest list with the bouncers, and had her coat checked at the door. She wanted to stay with Carolina all night, but she also didn't want to drag her around, especially not when she had to adopt an attitude. Carolina was her down to earth friend who knew the good and real side of her, but Piper had to take on her social-character tonight, and shouting at the cleaning staff for allowing a spilled drink to sit on the floor for longer than thirty seconds wasn't something she wanted Carrie to hear.

"I need to make sure that everything looks perfect. Would you just text me when my girls get here? I need to... I need to sort all of this out," Piper said, shaking her head as she fought with the confusion she was feeling. She didn't know what she should do. On one hand, and what she was leaning towards, she knew that she could somehow work her way out of this. Things had been so shaky between Sienna and Sydney, that Piper knew one little chat couldn't mend all of the hurt between the two. The two of them weren't as strong of a force as they could be if they were 100%, completely and truly best friends. It would be harder for her to ween Sienna away from Sydney now that they seemed to be at least neutral, but she wasn't screwed in the Jane situation just yet. She knew that she couldn't be pessimistic like that, because it clouded her thought process. She just had to remind herself of how smart she was and how far she had come. Jane Lynch and her drug issues were not going to ruin that for her. It wasn't the good friend, or good person thing to do, and if she wanted to play that card, she could be honest and admit to her role in all of this. She could try to explain herself, explain to them how hard she wanted to fit in and how she just wanted someone who could act as her best friend, since while she was part of the quad, she had never been a real part of the trio that the girls had.

As she left Carolina, she headed through the venue, and met up with the intern who had acted as her party planner. Surprisingly, the girl had done very well. Everything was in order for the night. The decor was impeccable, the music was on point, and the food was being cooked. It looked like a real Upper East Side masquerade ball and for someone on her budget, that was impressive. Things were going well now, but Piper knew that the minute everyone important started arriving, her stomach would be doing somersaults. She considered perching herself by the door and personally greeting people until her friends arrived, but she didn't want to seem desperate like that. At the same time, she had no idea where Carolina had went too, and she didn't feel like socializing with any of the kids who were already there. So, in the only mood that seemed worthwhile, she headed to the bar and ordered herself a champagne cocktail.

As she strolled through the party, she decided to text Sienna. It was better that she try to act normal now, if she was going to try to play the un-involved act like she had just decided on doing. Texting Jane seemed necessary for her plan as well. She would trail the girl on with some pretend good news about the pills, and then when she found Jane, she'd find a way to convince her to give her her phone, so she could erase their texting history and all of the evidence of their Brent-involved hangouts.

To: Sienna
Hope you guys are on your way :)

To: Jane
I need to talk to you. Good news on you know what :). Come find me ASAP.

When Victoria saw the opportunity, she took it and fled. It went against the strong, dominating person that she wanted to be, but what choice did she have? If she stayed, she knew she would have had a mental breakdown in front of them. She wasn't able to get Jane in the place she wanted her to be in. In fact, that plan backfired. She tried to intimidate the girl by being blatant about knowing her secret, but it only led to her running upstairs, to where Tori realized Sienna and Sydney already were. And that was trouble. Jane wasn't a threat, but Sydney definitely was, and Sienna was too. Truly, Tori didn't like to put her on the same level as Sydney, but especially with the two of them together, she recognized that she was royally screwed. So, she grabbed her mask and clutch and bolted out of the Alvarez apartment. She didn't even waste time in calling for her driver and hailed a cab instead. The drive consisted of a lot of hyperventilating, and had her makeup not been done perfectly, it would have consisted of some actual crying too. She still planned on going to the party and she didn't want to look like the mess that she felt like inside.

Victoria had the driver drop her off a block away from the venue Piper was hosting the party at. She needed the time, and the crisp air, to help her compose herself. Things are going to be fine, she reassured herself. You'll fix this. You always do. In this case, she had to. The repercussions of this would be detrimental to her image and self-esteem, and she knew that if things got really bad, there was no way that she would finish the year at Constance Billard.

As she walked, she tried to occupy herself with her phone. She was way too frazzled to even think about posting to her blog, and the texts she received didn't make her feel any better. She felt a bit bad about ditching Connor, but honestly, she wasn't stupid enough to think that he was in love with her. He was a nice guy, so bailing on him without notice definitely was rude, but it wasn't going to ruin her life. Sienna's text had that same demeaning tone that they all had, and Tori sent one back with a similar vibe. She was going to fight to the end. It was too late to cower back down to Sienna Alvarez. Tori didn't know if she could say the same about Sydney yet, but she also didn't think it would ever get to that point. Maybe it spoke of her delusional mindset, but she still felt like there was a chance for her to take the spot of Sydney's best friend. Sienna and Sydney might have been on the path to friendship tonight, but Tori thought she could ruin that. She didn't know how, exactly, right now, but she would figure it out.

To: Sienna
Shhh focus on you, girl ;) I don't think you should be the one dishing out relationship advice!

She didn't respond to Brent's message because as she opened it, she was outside of the ballroom and saw Brent in line to get in. "I want you to tell her to ask me for the pills. Tell her you sold them all to me, and if she wants any, she has to go through me. I need her wrapped around my finger, and this is the only way for a bitch like her. I'll compensate you double the cash, plus whatever she has on her. Okay? Do we have a deal?" Victoria hissed, with half of the deal being made after a slight pause as they were allowed into the venue.

Vincent didn't contribute to the conversation ensuing. His form had grown stiff, only relaxing as he uncapped the water bottle to consume half of it in a gulp. Even though Ricardo had just made one comment, one that he had made many times before, Vincent's drunk mind wanted to make this into more of a problem than it was. He looked at Sienna's text and rolled his eyes. Yeah fucking right. She knows exactly what I'm talking about, he snapped in his mind. He didn't look towards her, only typing out a message with an unnecessary amount of force in the clicks against the screen.

To: Sienna
So we can finally be even for me sleeping w her. Just do it so I can stop hearing about it. Idk how many times to say im SORRY but ok if that's what it's going to take then fucking sleep with him

Sydney noticed the tension on the other side of the car, but she didn't allow her eyes to land on either Sienna or Vincent. She wanted to try to read Sienna's face to see what was going on, but she couldn't do that tonight. Not after she and Sienna had just kind of made up, and not after she had genuinely told Jane that she wanted to remain as un-involved in whatever was going on with Sienna and Vincent, if anything ever happened again. She was naturally curious, but she knew better, and returned her attention to Rick, who had just addressed her. "Excitement isn't a word that comes to mind," Sydney responded, though her demeanor suggested that she was unperturbed by it. She had a lot on her mind right now, but even if none of this had happened, she wouldn't have expected much out of the night. People suspected her to be uptight and very controlled, and that was true to an extent, but Sydney could have a good time when she wanted to. She liked partying and going to clubs, but she didn't like to let loose to a point where she was inebriated. She didn't find that to be enjoyable, and after only seeing Sienna and Jane get like that, Sydney wasn't interested. She got drunk now and then, as Kelley had witnessed a few night ago, but she wasn't the type of girl who could just negate a bad party by pouring a bottle of Absolut down her throat.

"It'll be mediocre at best," she predicted with an uncaring shrug of her shoulders. She didn't feel the need to continue the ruse of her liking Piper right now, not after what Jane had revealed about tonight's hostess. She wasn't going to be downright bitchy because she wasn't close enough to Rosie and Charlotte to trash talk Piper without feeling classless, but she could be honest. With Piper as the host, Sydney felt like it was a given that the party wouldn't live up to expectations anyway. She considered commenting on how whatever Piper had planned wouldn't compare to a night of Disney fireworks, just to get a reaction out of Ricardo, but she refrained. Her night with Rick had been fun and adventurous, but she didn't want him to think that she thought anymore of it. Because she didn't. Or she didn't want to. She had too much to worry about right now than to figure out what she felt towards Ricardo Slim-Helรบ. "What about you boys? Any high hopes for the evening?" she questioned, fiddling with her phone, but not actually looking at it. She wanted to text Jane to see if she too felt the tension between the ex-couple, but she knew Jane had too much of a mouth to do that. With her luck, Jane would read the text aloud, or be brazen enough to question Sienna about it right there.

Brent didn't go into the party right away. He lingered at the end of the block making a few sales with kids who were on their way into the party, before deciding to head to the line himself. When he did, he hovered quietly at the back, taking a step every few seconds as someone else was let in. The girls were all smoking, that was the first thing he noticed. He wasn't surprised that Piper would be vain enough to only invite attractive people to her party, but at the same time, everyone in the upper east side tended to be vain as well, so most people took their appearances seriously. It was one of the reasons why Brent had decided to conform to the formal dress code tonight. He wasn't looking to be the person standing out like that, and he didn't want to piss Pipe off on her night. Even looking formal, though, most girls didn't give him a second look. He was known for being into drugs, and that wasn't the most attractive trait to all of these preppy, by the books girls. It didn't surprise him, and at this point, it didn't bother him either. Compared to guys like Ricardo Slim or Vincent Mast, who had the good looks, the athletic ability, the money and the charm, Brent knew he didn't stand a chance. He'd get the girls like Kelley, who were into that "bad boy" vibe, but aside of that, most girls felt like they were too good for him.

He even felt that way with Tori Walsh sometimes. Tonight, he was already feeling pissed off and unimportant. His brother had no respect for him, and he couldn't express his feelings to his parents without feeling guilty for being a bigger burden in their lives. He had more potential than this, and even though he was still doing well in school, he sometimes resented this reputation he had taken on. It was better than being a nerd, he supposed, but at the same time, he didn't like being bossed around by these rich kids whose money kept him going. However, he trusted Victoria, because she did put her money where her mouth was. She wasn't some kid on the baseball team who thought he could call him scum when he gave him maybe twenty dollars worth of business a month. She was assertive, but he knew that on a normal day, when he wasn't feeling so tense, that he would have been attracted by that.

As they passed the bouncer, Brent slipped his mask on and then discreetly put the bag of pills into Victoria's hand. "We've got a deal, but I want the cash within the next twenty four hours, Tori. I can't fuck around with this. I'll let you do whatever the fuck you need to do with that, but I need the cash. Seriously." Brent didn't doubt that Victoria would come through with the money, but he needed to accentuate on its importance. This was part of some plan involving stupid drama for her, but it was his life. "I've got to go talk to a few more guys before this party gets rolling, so I'll see you in a little," he said distractedly as his eyes followed a group of theater kids who he remembered had been interested in buying some bud from him the weekend before.

Despite being pleasantly distracted by the beautiful girls stepping into the limousine, Connor was taken aback when Victoria didn't come in. As Ricardo questioned in, Jane insisted that she wasn't coming, and that was followed by Sydney informing him that Tori was excited to see him. He appreciated Sydney's effort, assuming it was still good, and smiled in her direction as he nodded, but it didn't seem likely. She didn't show up, yet she had apparently just been at Sienna's minutes before, and as he skimmed over their conversation once more, she hadn't let him know that she wasn't coming anymore. For a guy that had been annoyed at himself for agreeing to go with Tori moments before, as Rick's words sunk in, he sure felt offended for being stood up. According to Sydney and Jane, at least, he wasn't truly being stood up. She was going to be at the party, and maybe she'd have a good excuse there for making him look like even more of a fool for not manning up and asking Charlotte... who nearly made Connor's jaw drop when she stepped into the car behind Rosie. She truly looked like a real life Cinderella... and was that the bracelet he had given her, on her arm right now? The mere sight had his cheeks turning red, but he opted against commenting on it specifically.

"You... you look great!" he stammered as Charlotte sat down. He placed his phone down on the small space beside him, forgetting about Tori for the moment. "You both do!" he then corrected himself as he forced his eyes away from Lottie and onto Rosie. Okay, so he was definitely regretting not asking Charlotte now, but he decided that he couldn't make it too obvious. Not because he wanted to play "hard to get" (because he felt like he was already hard to want in his plight for Charlotte), and not because he didn't want to hear Rick telling him he had told him so. He needed to act unfazed by this because in the back of his mind, despite his friends reassurances, he felt like Sydney might still be right, and he couldn't face a rejection from his best friend. Still, he knew that Rick was right, and if he didn't act on his feelings for Charlotte, some other guy would. Hell, with Vincent in the state that he was in, which Connor had yet to realize had shifted into a silent one, he wouldn't have been surprised if he was trying to take Lottie home by the night's end.

He didn't know what else to say. Between being awestruck at just how gorgeous this girl was, and feeling awkward about the situation as a whole, Connor felt tongue tied. Luckily, the topic of Tori's presence had died down, and Ricardo and Sydney were speaking in a way that was open enough where anyone could jump in. Now that Rick had officially confirmed that he too, thought Connor didn't and wouldn't ever have a chance with Connor (not like that was new news), he figured that it was safe to chime in there. His nerves wouldn't be eating at him when conversing with Sydney like they were doing non-stop whenever his eyes even so much as glanced in Charlotte's direction. "Oh, come on, Syd," he began. "I don't think it'll be bad. Piper knows what she's doing!" he reasoned. "I'm really just looking forward to the food," he continued lightly with a shrug. If anything, he was kind of resenting the idea of having to spend the night with Tori. He was open to it since it had been suggested, but she didn't seem into him, and he was nice, but not nice enough to want to pretend to give someone a chance when they were already rejecting him.

Vincent wanted to get slapped. That was what this was about. Vincent wanted to get slapped, he didn't know how to say it, but he was begging for it. And Sienna was almost willing to oblige him because what. The. Fuck? She was too expressive in general, especially when in a group of people she held dear to her heart, to hold her emotions in, and her eyes widened exponentially when she read Vincent's message. They had widened a fraction at the ferocity of him typing out the message, but as soon as she read it, her eyes immediately flew back to her boyfriend with the utmost confusion shining in them. Had she ever showed an inclination towards Rick in Vincent's face? Ever honest-to-God flirted with the guy's best friend while he was there? Had she said something in her sleep the last time they had been together? Was there a fucking post in Victoria's blog?

The answer to all of those questions was a smooth no and it was enough to cause Sienna to relax back against her seat, but it also had her mind going top speed. So...Rick sais something about getting with her and Vincent is...drunkenly jealous? Realy? It shouldn't have made her inwardly smirk but it did. She was always the possessive one, the one ready to cut a bitch for even remotely thinking of touching what was hers. Maybe that spoke to Sienna being secretly more selfish than she wanted to admit, who knew? The point was that it honestly shouldn't have been as exhilarating to basically see Vincent jealous of her nonexistent and never-going-to-happen fling with Ricardo. And she really needed to punch Rick one of these days, she decided as she sent out a response to Vincent before returning her attention to the group.

To: Vince
Vince, idk wat u want me to say at this point. Don't want Rick, never did, & idgaf bout being even. spent 3 yrs w/ other guys still being yours. If it still doesn't feel like i am, then do sumthing about it

To: Vince
But I'm not about 2 spend my nite feeling guilty over sumthing i never have or will do

To: Rick
Ur a dick

Ricardo hummed thoughtfully when Sydney first spoke, his attention fixed solely on her. It was a peculiar thing for him, to be as focused on one person but she had always proven that Sydney Vale was a specimen worth over-analyzing. He chuckled listlessly at her comment about the party being mediocre at best and Connor spoke up a moment afterwards, but Rick's eyes didn't stray for Sydney's face. No, he was concentrated on the fact that after her nonchalant shrug, he had seen something. A flicker...a hint...he couldn't decipher the emotion and it was puzzling, but something about it made him smirk at her. Not that he knew whatever it had been on her mind, but just because most people thought Rick did know everything and he liked seeing people trying to refrain from showing their feelings. Why his new found fascination had to be towards Sydney, he wouldn't be able to tell you, but he did distract himself by the buzzing on his phone.

"Actually, Connor, I'm with you on that one. I want food," Sienna piped up, twirling a few strands of her hair between her fingers as she text Jane. She blatantly ignored the smiley face Rick sent her way. "I could seriously eat." Rick glanced at her expression and when Sienna caught his eye, she struggled to contain her glower which made him laugh lightly. "Well, I - for one - am looking forward to a night of revelations," he announced in faux excitement, though the glint in his eyes was hardly a show if you asked Sienna. The King Bee settled his gaze on his best friend with a knowing smirk before reverting his attention back to everyone else. Sienna only smirked. "The revelation of you not being able to dance?" She inquired with a small giggle and Rick smirked at her, pointing a warning yet playful finger at her. "Don't start." Sienna only laughed.

To: Jane
I need vodka. Soon

Too concerned with her own nerves and self, Jane went oblivious to much of the tension throughout the car ride to the party. She assumed that the silence on Vincent's part was due to the awkwardness of being in such close quarters to both Sienna and Sydney. It wasn't like they had went three years without all riding in a limo together, but it was just recently when the whole scandal went public, and that deserved some awkward tension. She was happy enough that the tension was between Vincent and the girls, and not between the girls, though. Well... at least she wanted to be. She knew that in the long run, having Sienna and Sydney as friends again was a good thing. It was what she had been begging the two of them to do ever since the blowout fight. Things were a lot easier when the two of them were being civil, but at the same time, she knew that they were a force to be reckoned with when they were working together, and Jane didn't want them to gang up on her like she felt like they would be doing.

She spent most of the ride with her eyes glued to her phone. The others were making small talk, but she wasn't really in the mood for that. Besides, even though she knew that she was being overly sensitive and paranoid, she felt like Connor and Sienna's little exchange about being excited to eat was a personal attack. For the time being, it seemed more beneficial to scroll through her Instagram feed and worry about how good everyone else looked tonight compared to herself. A few minutes into the ride, she had received a text from Sienna. After finishing her liking spree on Instagram, she went back to it, smirking at the blonde, who was then talking to Rick, before looking back at the phone to respond.

To: Sienna
Me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the mood to blackout lol ;D ;D ;D me you and syd have to do a round of shots when we get there!!!!

Maybe it was early to be declaring that she was ready to get blackout drunk, but Jane had been thinking about how much she needed vodka since she arrived at Sienna's. She was stressed out right now, but if she got enough alcohol in her, there was a chance that tonight could be fun. She could dance with Sienna and over-express how much she didn't think Sienna should ever talk to Vincent again, attempt (and likely fail) to get Sydney drunk too, and maybe, if she was in the mood, hook up with Jon. Piper's text made the possibility of her feeling better seem even more real.

To: Piper
Yay kk!! Be there in like 2 minutes!!!!!!

It was probably fake of Jane to respond to Piper in that manner, while minutes before, tossing her under the bus to Sydney and Sienna. She didn't think of it that way, though. She had only done that to Piper because she felt like Piper was being unfair to her, but now that she had decided to be nice again, Jane was going to be nice too. If anything, she would think that she was being the better person for forgiving Piper and not holding a grudge over her taking so long to get the pills from Brent.

When they arrived at the venue, Jane was one of the first out of the car, and barely waited for the others to emerge before hurrying past the bouncers. "I'm going to run to the bathroom, then I want to do shots and pictures with you two!" Jane demanded with a smile, glancing back at Sienna and Sydney before dispersing into the party. It took her a few minutes, but she eventually spotted Piper and ran up to her with the confidence of someone who wasn't wearing heels and didn't already have a few drinks in them. "Oh my gosh, that dress is soooo perfect. Oscar de la Renta?" she questioned, taking a step back to dramatically admire the dress before grinning at Piper. She adjusted the mask on her face slightly before leaning in closer towards Piper. "So, tell me the good news is that you finally got them from Brent. Just give them to me now and I'll put them in my bra or something for the night." She didn't ask Piper if she had been the one to telling Tori about it yet, because for now, she didn't care about who knew so much as she cared about getting her hands on the pills.

By the time the group arrived at the venue Piper chose for her masquerade ball, Sienna had already decided that she wasn't going to let Vincent ruin her night. She had said as much in the text some minutes prior, but once she saw the paparazzi already there with students lined up trying to gain access to a party they all knew for a fact they weren't getting into, she was resolute in her opinion. It was bad enough she had to worry about Jane, Jane's denial about her health, and generally the people she couldn't trust around the brunette. The last thing she needed to do was worry about her boyfriend, who was also resolute in feeling unreasonably jealous when she had given him no reason to be such.

To: Jane
Let's do this

To: Piper
We're here

To: Vince
Find me when u wanna actually talk

To: Carrie
Where art thou? Just got here

To: Kelly
Waiting 2 make ur dramatic entrance? P.S Ur cousin is PMSing

"Time for the big show," she muttered, mostly to herself as she secured her mask on. She tossed Vincent one last surreptitious, a hint of her frustration glaringly obvious and for him in her gaze, and then slid out of the vehicle as everyone else filed out. She also didn't want for her boyfriend either, nodding to Jane when the brunette headed in before everyone else. Shaking her head, she smirked as the cameras went crazy and she was pretty sure a few people called her name, but she ignored them in favor of walking inside with Charlotte and Rose. She smiled at the sisters, though the brightness was more for Charlotte than Rose. "Howzabout a virgin Strawberry Daquiri. Cinderella? I promise, no alcohol. Pinky swear." She couldn't promise that she wasn't going to have alcoholic something, but it had been a minute since Sienna had been officially alone with Lottie. And maybe they wouldn't be entirely alone since Rose was still there, but...Sienna was willing to take what she could get. Besides, it felt like she had not checked much with her friend honestly and truly, and Sienna would rather the distraction of having Charlotte on her mind than dealing with Vincent if all he was going to give her was attitude at the moment. Plus, she liked the idea, and it was a random thought, of walking in with Charlotte. The student body president's flatteringly graceful yet innocent appearance, and Sienna's sensual and relaxed one. And again, she wasn't arriving inside with Vincent and his attitude.

Rick had smirked every time he saw Connor peek back at Charlotte. Honestly, he was actually ready to flat out laugh, but then that would require an explanation. And, while Rick wasn't above ignoring inquisitive glares and unnecessary questions, he wasn't that horrible of a friend. He would let Connor have his moment. After all, as Rick had told him, Charlotte wouldn't wait forever. And she was gorgeous, as her attire for the evening showcased. There would be too many guys waiting on the sidelines to sweep her off of her feet. Maybe into their beds, maybe into just a simple dance. Who knew? But he was amused by his friend and he made sure that the guy noticed. However, when everyone was heading out of the limousine, there was only one friend on his agenda.

Vincent.

Rick had been second to get out of the limousine after Jane and waited for all of the others to head out of the limousine before making a move, grabbing a hold of the lacrosse player's shoulder. He knew people were watching, which was a security since Vincent didn't normally put on too much of shows in front of five thousand people. "If you've got something to say to me, man, now's the time cuz you pouted the entire fucking way here," he said, staring his best friend dead in the face with a seriousness that wasn't conveyed fully with the ever-present smirk on his lips. "Seriously, man, not your most attractive look, if I do say so myself."

"Don't fucking touch me, dude," he snapped, shoving Ricardo's hand off of his shoulder. He very much wanted to punch him in the face right then and there, especially when he recognized that all-knowing smirk that Rick had on his face. He restrained himself though. "I'm not in the mood for your shit tonight, and I swear to God, I will fucking wreck you if you even try to make a move on her tonight." And Vincent was serious about that. He knew that Ricardo would probably be a pretty fair fight for him, but with the amount of alcohol he felt in his body, he doubted he'd feel any of the guy's hits until tomorrow morning. This side of Vincent didn't come out often, but when it did, alcohol was always involved, and it only took one little thing to set him off. All Ricardo had said was one thing about Sienna, something that he had said countless times before, and he had Vincent wanting to rip his head off. He paused after speaking, considering for a moment about swinging on him, but refraining. He felt like he had every right to. The smirk on Rick's face signaled that he knew what he was doing, and Sienna had been the one to text him in the car and tell him to do something about it, if he felt like there was something between Rick and Sienna. He had every right to "wreck" him, but he held back because as they stepped away from the limo, he was reminded of how in-public they were.

Because he knew that he was going to snap if he had to look at Rick's smug expression for one more second, in a huff, he headed away from Ricardo. He didn't pay attention to anyone in line and got inside easily. He couldn't see Sienna, but he wasn't really looking for her anyway. She seemed to sincerely dismiss the Rick thing, but Vincent wasn't buying it. In his mind, it made sense that she would pull this. She wanted to get even with him for sleeping with Sydney, and he guessed that that was fair of her, but at the same time, he couldn't believe she'd stoop down to that level. Especially after giving him so much shit for a mistake! He thought she was the bigger person in all of this, and now he was finding out (or making up in his own mind) that she was trying to sleep with Rick to get back at him! Unbelievable! He didn't wait for Connor, and definitely not for Rick, as he headed into the venue on his own, and straight for the bar. Jack and Coke had gotten him into this mess, but it was the only thing that he wanted to deal with right now. When he had one in hand, he sat down at the bar, rather than the tables where he assumed they would be served food later on.

To: Sienna
lol

To: Connor

The contrast in how Jane had treated her earlier, to her delighted text message was laughable. She wasn't sure if fake was the right word to use, because this was just how Jane was. If she didn't get her way, she would throw a fit and the moment that things started going her way again, she would act like nothing ever happened. Piper was sure it related to her background. She liked things going her way too, but she knew what the word "no" meant. With Jane, it was like the world was ending if for some reason, someone couldn't give her exactly what she wanted, when she wanted it. Piper knew this was how she was though, so she just hoped that Jane had only reacted to the delay in the pills by sulking, and actually said anything stupid in front of Sienna or Sydney. Even if she hadn't, Piper knew that she had to cover her tracks. If for nothing else, it would just be for her own peace of mind, so she didn't answer Sienna when she said that they had all arrived. She needed to deal with Jane before dealing with anyone else, or trying to enjoy her party.

"Of course!" she grinned when Jane came over and complimented her dress. Again, fake didn't necessarily seem like the best word, but Piper couldn't claim that her interactions with Jane, or any of the girls for that matter, were always authentic. Piper's whole life when dealing with them was fake, so it was impossible for her to be completely genuine with any of them. She knew how people could benefit her, and if reaping those benefits meant playing along and pretending to be nice when she felt the opposite, she was willing to act that way. "And you look stunning, as always!" Piper responded. She didn't have time to consider how to best approach this, because Jane leaned in and brought up the drugs before she had to. Even though she seemed upbeat right now, the desperation in Jane's face was evident. The fact that she was willing to smuggle drugs in her bra for the night had to say something. "He's being a complete dick to me," she said, rolling her eyes and putting on her best pout. "It's ridiculous with the business we've given him!" she added, hoping to get Jane on her side. "I think he's just mad because I told him that there was no way that I would ever sleep with him. I bet if I text him from your phone, he'll answer. Here, let me see it," she continued, demanding Jane's phone.

She waited for the brunette to hand it to her before stepping backwards, giving herself a bit of space without Jane being able to see what she was doing. It was a necessary step because rather than texting Brent, she was actually locating her text thread with Jane, and deleting it entirely from the girl's phone. With that evidence gone, she continued to actually send Brent a text from Jane's phone, reading, "Hey Brent! Can I get those pills tonight?". That was all she needed to do. If Jane tried to blame her for being involved with her issues, Carolina would be there to back her up first, and then Jane would have no actual evidence that Piper ever knew. It seemed like a foolproof plan, so long as Brent kept his mouth shut about her involvement, but Piper actually trusted that he would right now. "Okay, perfect," she said with a smile, handing the phone back to Jane. "I feel like he'll text you back any minute, but he should be here tonight anyway. I don't think any mask will be enough to make him blend in with everyone else, so I'm sure if you walk around, you'll find him." She set her now-empty glass down on a passing waiter's tray. "Just... be careful, Jane. You know? Don't go crazy." Her tone now was more authentic than it had been earlier, because regardless of the motives behind her friendship with Jane, there was some actual love there. Now that she had no benefit from Jane taking the drug, she felt more guilt about the girl using them.
