Introducing

What is your name?:
āMy name is Maisie Wish and itās pronounced May-z. Oh! And my middle name is Harriet. I know, itās oldā¦ā
What do people call you, though?:
āEveryone calls me Maise. I mean, what else would they call me⦠Well, my mom calls me Bear, although I really donāt know why. My friends at home like to call me M sometimes.ā
How old are you?:
āIām 16, but Iām almost 17 now! A junior in high-school now though.ā
When were you born?:
āWell, I was born in 1997 on May 9th.ā
Are you a male or female?:
āFemale, duh! Why? What did you think?ā
Reasons

Why do you want to go on the trip?:
āWell, I have always loved travelling and when I was smaller, I did travel every year. But then my dad left⦠Long story short, my mom couldn't afford it anymore and we stopped travelling. I want a chance to experience the fresh air and sense of freedom a person gets when they leave their home again. I love adventure as long as it doesn't involve anything Iām scared of. I also know that there are many other people that deserve this, but I think I do because I also try my very best in school and have straight Aās. I donāt do any sports, but I do yoga and I love to write. If you need me to write a paper, I will happily oblige! I feel like I need a break from the air that I have been breathing. I want to feel like a free person again and I think this opportunity can give me that.ā
What are your opinions on travelling?:
āI love it! Travelling is great and I would love to see the world more!ā
Do you have any illnesses that could affect you while travelling?:
āNope! I mean, I donāt normally get sick so I think Iāll be fine, but no, I donāt have any lasting illnesses. Although, I am a little OCD and I can never stop moving, but it's not noticeable and I was never diagnosed!ā
What is the 'best' place you have traveled to so far?:
āI've been to a few, but I think I liked Dublin the best because it was so quiet. I love to read and write, so it was a peaceful time. Then there was Parisā¦ā
Little Things

What do you like?:
āI love to read, write, and helping other people with their problems and life in general. But there is a catch. I only like to usually help the people I like and I know how that sounds, but I donāt like giving advice to people on drugs. You know what I mean? Anyway, I also love to help the environment, sing, and even dance a little. Since I was little, I discovered that anything is possible if I believed it was. Because of that, I play the piano and am able to learn songs by ear, sing well for my age, and imagine something in my mind and make it happen. Thank you me.ā
What do you dislike?:
āThere are many things that I donāt like. I donāt like it when people tell me that Iām weak or immature. I also donāt like it when people try to challenge me or tell me that I canāt do something or I said this when I really said something else. I also hate heights and roller coasters with a burning passion. Anything that gives me the āstomach droppingā feeling I despise. I also canāt stand needles so if you come near me with one, I will punch you. I donāt mind any animal except large tarantulas when theyāre crawling on me or anything that stings. I also hate not knowing things and when people donāt hear me the first time I say something. Oh yeah! I also hate when people make fun of me for my accent. Just because I'm English, doesn't mean I'm stuck up!ā
Do you have any hobbies?:
āI sing, write, and play the piano. I donāt know if you would count reading as a hobby, either. I also dance, but I only like lyrical and jazz. I donāt think thereās anything elseā¦ā
Do you have any phobias or fears?:
āIs there really anything that a person fears? Is it not just a matter of perception? Is it not that you merely dislike the activity or item? The only thing that I think I truly fear is not being good enough or messing up at something publicly. The fear of embarrassment/humiliation.ā
About You

What are you like as a person?:
āWell, I donāt want to brag, but I like to think that I am somewhat of a leader. I like to feel independent, but I like to know whatās going on around me. I guess Iām kind of modest and considering how many āI guessāsā I've said, Iām uncertain about my actions, which is true. I like to know whatās going to happen before it actually does, so I like to have everything planned out.
I consider myself kind and helpful when I need to be, but I am also very sarcastic and stubborn, which naturally makes me determined. I canāt stand arrogant, annoying people and I will say something if they get on my nerves enough. If there is a kid that is being annoying on purpose, I will most likely say that I hate them, but secretly I will grow to like them. I can be uptight and hard to get to know; I know when I am, I just donāt stop. Also, I can seem a little hard to get to know if you donāt know me very well.
I am somewhat of a bookworm. That quiet girl that is curled up in a library with her nose in a book? Yep, thatās me! I get into my books so much that you can normally find me wishing that I am one of the characters. I know thatās pretty pathetic, but hey, itās what I do! My life has become so jumbled from all of the different characters that I feel like I donāt even know who the real me is anymore. Thatās also a reason why I need to go on this trip: I need to discover who I really am.
I donāt have a lot of patience so that is why it is easy to get on my last nerve very quickly. If you are an extremely annoying person, I would stay away from me because the minute you open your mouth, I will want to slap you. I may not say it aloud, but oh am I thinking it. I can be a very violent person at times, though I donāt actually know how to fight and they are just empty threats, but other times, I may crumble in front of you, though that rarely happens. You will never really get to see the real me because of how many protective walls I have put up. It is a very rare moment when I am actually losing my self-control in front of someone else. I am normally a very private person so others donāt know my secrets unless I tell you. Once I label you as a friend or foe, our relationship will continue from there. Oh! And I also believe that anything is possible. And I'm really forgetful sometimes...ā

Give me a brief history of yourself.:
āI am from England, born and raised in the same boring town my whole life. I have a little family in America and Ireland, but most of us are in England. It started with my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandparents moving from a small town called Castle Combe to move to Bristol. They never even left England! Like, what is wrong with them?! Ever since then, my whole family has lived in Bristol, lived past-tense as in, they died there too. I donāt want that happening to me!
I was born 16 years ago at the local hospital in Bristol and the day my parents brought me home, was the day that I āmagicallyā said my first word. My parents insist that I talked when I was 5 days old, but really, all I did was grunt. I mean, come on! Whoās heard of a baby that talks?! Anyway, they brought me home and raised me. I went to the normal town public-school, Bristol High-school, and I graduated Middle-school with perfect straight Aās. High-school has been a blast so far and I canāt wait to finish it. I feel like this opportunity will give me a chance to change my life and do something different than my ancestors. My dad left when I was 7, just packed up and left us. My brother was so furious; he swore that never again would he trust. Now he is so overprotective of me itās insane.ā
Tell me about your family.:
āMy family is pretty small. We are mostly located in England, as I mentioned before. I have an older brother named Charlie and a baby sister named Harlow. My momās name is Charlene May Wish and my dad, well he walked out on us when I was 7 so I remember his name, but itās not very important. My grandparents are Frank and Mary Wish and they live in Bristol, as well. My older brother is turning 20 this year! I canāt believe how fast the time went by! We just adopted my little sister and she is so adorable! She is 6 months old now and I canāt even describe to you how great it is to feel needed. She is the most precious thing in the world!
Our family in Ireland is just a few aunts and uncles, not really important, and in America we have a few more and then, loads of cousins. They are all scattered around, so we never all get together. Long story short, I never have an excuse to travel anymore. We also have a cat named Lucy (sheās a Persian) and an old dog named Scruffy (a mutt). The dog is my brotherās and he insists that we donāt euthanize him, but the poor thing has been hobbling on his little knees for years now. I mean, come on Charlie, itās his timeā¦ā
Other: Languages spoken, places been etc. etc.
āI speak fluent French, but thatās it. Well, obviously English⦠Oh! And I knew a little bit of Spanish in Middle-school but I forgot it a long time ago. I've been to Dublin, Ireland, Paris, France, New Zealand, and Hawaii! My brother has been to a little more of them because heās older and I donāt remember half of those trips because I was so little, but I still went, so⦠We stopped traveling when dad left.ā
Theme Song:
Burn || Ellie Goulding
We, we don't have to worry 'bout nothing
'Cause we got the fire, and we're burning one hell of a something
They, they gonna see us from outer space, outer space
Light it up, like we're the stars of the human race, human race
When the light started out they donāt know what they heard
Strike the match, play it loud, giving love to the world
We'll be raising our hands, shining up to the sky
'Cause we got the fire, fire, fire
Yeah we got the fire, fire, fire
And we gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn
We gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn
Gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn
We gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn
We don't wanna leave, no. We just wanna be right now (right), r-r-right now
And what we see is everybody's on the floor acting crazy, getting loco 'til the lights out
Music's on, I'm waking up, we fight the fire, then we burn it up
And it's over now, we got the love, there's no sleeping now, no sleeping now, no sleeping
When the light started out they donāt know what they heard
Strike the match, play it loud, giving love to the world
We gonna let it burn burn burn burn (burn burn)
Burn burn burn burn (burn burn)
We can light it up, up, up
So they can't put it out, out, out
We can light it up, up, up
So they can't put it out, out, out
We can light it up, up, up
So they can't put it out, out, out
We can light it up, up, up
So they can't put it out, out, out
When the light started out they donāt know what they heard
Strike the match, play it loud, giving love to the world
We'll be raising our hands, shining up to the sky
'Cause we got the fire, fire, fire
Yeah we got the fire, fire, fire
And we gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn
We gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn
Gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn
We gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn
When the light started out they donāt know what they heard
Strike the match, play it loud, giving love to the world
We'll be raising our hands, shining up to the sky
'Cause we got the fire, fire, fire
Yeah we got the fire, fire, fire
And we gonna let it burn
