"There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness." - Friedrich Nietzsche

Theme Song | Orgy - Fiction (Dreams in Digital)
The first appearance of vampires has been dated back almost ten thousand years ago, when mankind's civilization first began to crumble. These vampires were referred to as the Ancestors of all vampires, the fathers and mothers of their kind. Over the course of years, the vampire race grew. It became so large, that their secrecy was in danger of being exposed. Disgusted with the world they created, the Ancestors began to disappear. Some fell into a deep slumber while others seemed to die. No one could explain this phenomenon and as a result, the vampires who were deemed pure-bloods began turning humans.

As a result, humans became aware of the creatures of darkness and began to fight back. They were horribly outnumbered and overpowered until it happened. An ancestor became sympathetic to the humans plight and wished to live in peace with humans. In order to save the human race, the ancestor sacrificed their life to give humans the power to protect themselves. The first vampire-human hybrid was created. With the Ancestor's blood flowing through them, the humans were able to protect themselves along with humans who were still oblivious to the dark world. For eons, the vampires and humans waged war until they became weary.

In order to keep what precious life they had, the vampires and humans created a treaty that would permanently end the war. The vampires were to be led by the Kuran family; a family whose blood line had been kept pure and untouched by any bloodline and were considered Kings and Queens of their race. Humans were left to their own devices and governments, however; the Hunters Association was created to ensure the safety of humans. The president of the association built a school where humans and vampires could co-exist with each other in order to keep the treaty as it was.

It was also during this time that the Kuran family abolished the monarchy and created the senate; a group of vampires who were to govern their race without an over-looming threat of being destroyed by the pure-bloods. And for years the peace was kept. That was until he was born, the first child to Kaname and Yuki Kuran, the last known heirs of the Kuran family. Their son, this child of the Kuran family, was not born with a pure-heart. It was evident when she was born, the second and last child to the Kuran's.

His desire to rule the vampire race once again as a King has driven him mad with a lust for power. There were others who supported his claim as he promised a world of where vampires could feed to their hearts content and the humans would fear them once again, however; like all quests for power, he was stopped. In order to protect the delicate treaty, the Kuran's were forced to lock their son up for the safety of the future.

This, is where our story starts. You are attending Cross Academy, a boarding school that houses both humans and vampires alike. Vampires are a secret to the Day Class and in order to keep the secret, prefects have been put in place. These prefects are either descendants of the hunter lineage or stumbled upon the vampire world a different way.

With the increase of vampire attacks, can you retain a sense of normalcy, or will you be dragged into a battle that could determine the fate of your future?

”I wonder what would you see me as a, devil or a monster? Because, I'm no savior.”

Once, Ito had seated across him. Aeron had gauged her to be far doing well than that night where she was running away from the doctors and nurses. He had concluded that Riri likely did not wait for a proper response from Ito in regards to his blood. Hearing her words, his suspicions were now a fact. His feline familiar really does things without much of a consultation from him. It usually does cause him unneeded troubles. In Ito's case, he was still uncertain whether this is a needless concern or not. The result was still unknown for him.

Her face was flushed when she asked him to explain to her. ”I did say I would answer your questions.” Aeron softly smiled at Ito to lighten the reddened expression of her face. He would not want to see her faint due to an emotional strain or anything of that sorts. Taking a moment of silence, he looked away from her for a moment before finally speaking about the matter. In truth, he was also not certain what to tell her since this would be his first time sharing his blood to anyone. All he could say was not by his own experience but by what he had seen with the others of his kind.

”Normally, Pure-bloods are feared for our abilities and hunger. But, there is also fascination especially about our blood.” Aeron started with bringing the fact that they are generally feared for being different. But like with all things, they were also creatures to be studied for the miracles their constitution could do so. Humans were not wrong with that. ”Just as our bite can change a human into a vampire. Ingesting our blood also does wonders of a different kind.” He remembered some humans who were obsessive of their blood which was not that different from the vampires in the lower hierarchy.

”By taking our blood, it can enhance a human's normal ability. It can also aid in regeneration and treating wounds or illnesses.” This is mainly why the humans desired them for their blood was like an ambrosia which will unlocked immortality. There are cases in which it had stopped the aging of certain humans. However, too much consumption would also aid into changing one into a vampire slowly. There is also the danger of addiction to the power their blood can produce. ”My blood has probably began to eradicate the weakness in your heath. But, you would still need to drink my blood in controlled doses to continue your recovery.”

He then lowered his gaze. Aeron held an expression of sadness that could also be identified as regret. In the end, he did not want to subject Ito into such risky consequences. ”You may experience possible enhanced physical capability and a connection towards me like a bond which may explain why you could sense things about me.” There was a pause in his explanation. He raised his blue and gold eyes too look at Ito once more. The next words that will come out of his mouth would be the dire repercussions of ingesting his blood. ”There are of course certain side effects to ingesting my blood in large quantities and frequencies in which I am not certain what will happen to you. You may develop a need for my blood, a descent to the mindset of a Level E vampire, or slowly changed into a vampire altogether.”

Clasping his hands together, this was the one thing he had a great disagreement with. Even if, he had shown this ability and used it many times against to people among his kind he dislikes greatly. ”The blood I give will always be mine no matter what. As such, I can break your will like I do with other vampires.” He took a moment to let Ito digest what he had said. Aeron would respect her decision whether not to take his blood anymore which would be her cure from the sickness that had taken hold of her. The consequences are dire and has uncertainties. It is why he wanted her to think this clearly. ”I will not force you to drink my blood. It will be your choice whether to continue or not, Ito-san.”

"They say actions speak louder than words. Will you understand my actions, even though it might be an accident?"

It wasn't an uncommon thing for someone to drift lightly into a soft slumber if one closed their eyes long enough. For Kiyoko, she hovered between the thin line of slumber and the effects of such a thing. Hence, at the current moment she was daydreaming. It was of her family, before she lost her memories. Odd, she seemed to be dreaming of them a lot as of late. The gentle breeze of the wind caressed her skin as a soothing melody echoed through the school grounds. She paid no mind to the sound as her eyes fluttered open softly, however; everything seemed to be in a haze. As such, the person in front of her was shrouded in a blurry mess. She tilted her head in confusion as she tried to focus her sight, but only succeeding in furthering the blur.

For a second, an image overlapped with the person in front of her, and her breath was hitched in her throat. She took a hesitant step towards the figure before she found herself standing just inches away from the person. Her arms snaked around the person's neck before pulling the figure down, placing a warm, chaste kiss upon their lips. Although it was chaste, is was also filled with a longing desire, as if this person was the most important thing in the world. And to Kiyoko, the person she was currently seeing was. She pulled away as her vision finally cleared. Immediately, her eyes widened and her face turned a hue of scarlet that could rival the color of her hair. She quickly released the prefect from her hold and backed as far away as she possibly could.

"I am so sorry!" she stated as her hand flew to cover her mouth. She had just kissed the one person whom was coming to be the bane of her existence. Why she had, it was because of the image she had seen. The person whom she missed and desired to see the most. "I think I am just going to go over there and die now, so if you'll excuse me," she stated in a hurried voice and pointed to a random direction. She turned as quickly as she could and made off towards her dormitory. She couldn't believe she had just did that. Of all the people, it had to have been him. If it were anyone else, she wouldn't feel so flustered. Why was she to begin with? It was an accident. She was sleep-walking, or so she tried to tell herself.

As such, it shouldn't affect her like this. She could still feel the heat in her cheeks and the rapid beating of her heart as it drummed against her chest. It was an embarrassing moment, not only for her, but she was sure that he would be furious. Because of that thought, she wanted to put as much distance between them as possible. Her hand still remained over her mouth as she tried her best to contain the furious blush that wouldn't leave her face. She was receiving odd stares, but that didn't matter to her. She was too embarrassed about what had just transpired to care what the students were currently doing. They could poke fun of her face and her hair if they wanted to for all she cared. And that wasn't saying much. She even ignored some of her friends as she rushed passed them.

"You are an idiot, Kiyoko," she muttered to herself as she finally made it to the bridge that divided the Sun and Moon dormitories. Before she could make her way towards the Sun Dorms, she found herself being whisked away in the growing crowd. It was the changing of the classes after all, and as such the Day Class students were already clamoring around the barricades to catch a peek at the Night Class. She truly just wanted to get out of the crowd so she could drown her embarrassment she was currently experiencing. She must have been truly injured and out of her mind to not know the difference between her reality and her dreams. Her fingers gently traced her lips as she still felt the flare of her cheeks burning. Why couldn't she get the blush to go away?

“If a choice is given to you, the choice of life or death, what would you choose if you never even got the chance to live?”

”I did say I would answer your questions.” Sakura couldn't help but return his soft smile, through she felt oddly uneasy about what was coming up next, but then again she had every right to be worried about what he would tell her, part of her was suddenly hopeful that there may be a way for her to live after all, that there wasn't just death in her future, but the other part of her, the part that was used to the idea of dying, that part knew there was no easy way out. She held her breath and waited for him to go on.

”Normally, Pure-bloods are feared for our abilities and hunger. But, there is also fascination especially about our blood.” She knew most vampires were fears for their hunger, while Pure-Blood's were feared for both their powers and hunger, meaning it must have been harder for them, not to mention all Vampires were feared for being just that, Vampires, but she had never known about their blood. ”Just as our bite can change a human into a vampire. Ingesting our blood also does wonders of a different kind.” Without even realizing it, Sakura drew her knees up to her chest and hugged them while resting her chin on them, watching Aeron as he spoke. For a short moment she allowed herself to get lost in his voice, he had a nice voice that someone could easily fall asleep too, but she focused for now, she was getting the answers to her questions.

”By taking our blood, it can enhance a human's normal ability. It can also aid in regeneration and treating wounds or illnesses.” It could cute illnesses? Why hadn't Kyo ever said anything about this before? There had been a chance for her all this time, and he never even thought to mention that there might be a possible way for her to live? Maybe he did... Her blood ran cold. Had the one person she could truly trust with her life lied to her for so long? Had he maybe, been waiting for the day she would die. It was bitter thought. ”My blood has probably began to eradicate the weakness in your heath. But, you would still need to drink my blood in controlled doses to continue your recovery.” She would have to keep drinking his blood? Her arms tightend around her legs slightly as he suddenly look away, a look of sorrow on his face. So here came the bad part, the part she was waiting for, the part that would prove it all useless anyway. She found herself holding her breath again. Waiting.

”You may experience possible enhanced physical capability and a connection towards me like a bond which may explain why you could sense things about me.” That wasn't that bad, right? She could kind of already feel the bond, she had noticed it earlier, it felt weak through, like it was barely there. She met his sad gaze with a confused one of her own. Was he sad because he thought it was bad for someone to be bonded to him in such a way? ”There are of course certain side effects to ingesting my blood in large quantities and frequencies in which I am not certain what will happen to you. You may develop a need for my blood, a descent to the mindset of a Level E vampire, or slowly changed into a vampire altogether.” Ah. There it was. There was the kicker. The down fall, the bad side of the bargain. So that was it right? If she drank his blood she could become addicted, and even end up turning into a crazed Level-E? Or a Vampire all together. So that was the choice fate had offered her? Death or damnation? What a bittersweet deal.

”The blood I give will always be mine no matter what. As such, I can break your will like I do with other vampires.” She froze again. He could break her will? that meant he would be able to have control over her? That was...harsh. It was unfair. It was unfair to all Vampire below Aeron, but it seemed he didn't like the idea, so did she really have to be worried about him doing that to her? If she became a Level-E she would want him to kill her anyway. ”I will not force you to drink my blood. It will be your choice whether to continue or not, Ito-san.” Her choice. Lately, Sakura was really starting to hate choices. Through this one was the real kicker. Life or death. Not matter how it happened, life was life, and death and death. If she chose to drink his blood, she would live. She might turn into a monster, but she would live. If she didn't drink his blood, she would die, and it would most likely be slow and painful and involve a lot of doctors. What would happen after she was dead? Most likely the doctors would want to have a look at her body, see what made her ill, cut her up like their newest little project.

"I...I don't know..." She ended up hiding her still slight flushed face against her surprisingly cool legs, her arms tightening around them. What choice did she honestly have? He was telling her she could live that maybe, if she was lucky, she would be able to have children, to get married, to have everything she had always wanted since she knew she was going to die, to have a chance to live. How could she possibly turn that away? The chance to live and love and be able to be free from death's oh so watchful gaze. I wouldn't have to rely on Kyo to look out after me, if I die, I cant be here for Kiyo, I cant protect the people I love... A small sigh escaped her as Kura's shoulder slumped in defeat. No matter how much she wanted to say no, she couldn't. This was an offer for life, there was no turning this away. "I want to live..." Sakura's voice was slightly muffled by her legs, she was silent for a moment longer before slowly lifting her head to meet Aeron's gaze. "I-I think it's asking alot of you, to let me drink your blood, but I want to live...all my life I figured I would never get a chance, that as soon as my time ran out, that was it...you...you are offering my life, I cant turn that away." Her fist's clenched, her nails digging into her legs. All her life death had been her company, it had been looming over head, watching, waiting, getting ready to take the small girl and end everything. All her life it was just...nothing, no hope, nothing to look forward to. "Please, Aeron..." What could she say? 'Please let me drink more of your blood?' Yeah...that didn't sound weird at all. Sakura looked away from a moment before taking a deep, quite, calming breath. "If it's not too much to ask of you, will you...can I...will you help me?" She looked back towards him with something new in her eyes, something that had never been there before. Hope.

"It's not the first time, but I think this is the only time I felt this way for a very long time."

Actually, Eon had expected a rather irate red-head with those bluish-violet eyes of hers looking at him pointedly. He would return the glare with his own. Then, they would exchange a few words to annoy each other. Believe it or not, he was getting used to that kind of interaction when it comes to her. Furthermore, it was a good method for him to vent out accumulating annoyance once in a while. So, he was entirely caught off-guard by the actions the girl had done towards him. Because, it was completely out of the blue. Those eyes fluttered open but there was a haze covering it. Something, he had witnssed before when the girl seemed to be seeing an illusion than the reality.

“Oi, wake up already.” He noted towards her. Somehow, it seemed to work as the girl stood and seemed surprised about something. He looked behind him if there was a presence he had failed to detect. There was none. Threats? None as well. The wolf? No, the mutt was not here at the present. So, what was surprising? He hardly thinks that his appearance was a shocking occurrence. After all, he was a prefect. So, this is to be expected at a certain degree. Returning his attention to the red-head in front of him, his was confused as the girl wrapped her arms around his neck.

“Red walrus, what game are you play--” He was not able to continue his statement for she had pulled him into a chaste kiss. There was nothing terrifyingly profound about it. At the same time, it was a simple connection of their lips but he could feel such desire behind it. In which, he felt something deep inside of him awakened with a beat. As if an entity different from him was coming out to the surface. Those widened ash green eyes of his darkened into that of a blue mist. It even subtly glow in its own light. What was happening to him? More importantly, what was she thinking?

Soon, the haze had been lifted as the girl had finally awoke from whatever illusion she was seeing. In an instant, the girl's face was sporting the same color as her hair. It was something he could laugh at if he was not also still in a shock of what had just occurred. Releasing him, she then stepped back away from him. As for him, he remained in his position. His hands were just on his side while he blinked a couple of times to regain himself from the surprise. Soon, the silence was pierced by her apologizing and stating that she would leave now to die somewhere. Right now, he could careless as the girl finally run off.

He went towards the tree the girl was resting under earlier. A hand was placed on the trunk to steady himself. What was he feeling about such a simply kiss? He had done more than that to other women in the past. A kiss was just a means to and end which he had always used to make a girl stop whining, yelling, or even crying. At other times, he also uses it to get what he want. So, he should not be feeling this sensation, the fast beating of his chest. It was foreign to him as if it did not belong to him. Perhaps, it did not really. He then slowly leaned forward to the tree and made an expression that no one else in the world had ever seen.

“I looked like an idiot!” He declared inwardly as he tried to calm down his embarrassed and blushing face. There was no way he would let anyone see him like this being affected by some barbarian of a girl. She was probably doing this to get back at him from earlier with making her a scapegoat. That was right. She was probably laughing at him and all that flushed face was just an act. Thinking like that, he was soon relieved of the airy emotions he was experiencing. Instead, it was replaced with annoyance and frustration. “She is not getting away with this.”

With that said, Eon followed after the girl. He did not care if his duty as a prefect was about to begin in a few minutes. There was still something he needed to get even with. Those blasted vampires can handle themselves. In the end, he was not their bodyguard or anything. His steps that began as a mere walk, then a jog, afterwards a sprint, and now a run. He was running after the girl who had the audacity to kiss him like that and made his inside stir unlike anything before. Eon did not care if she was hallucinating or anything. That was more irritating if he had been viewed as another. He did not like that at all.

Soon, he had finally caught up with her. It was not hard to find her among the crowds of people there for the Night Class. Her hair was a dead giveaway. Upon his arrival, shouts for him and the calls of those idiotic fans fell on deaf ears. This time, he was not purposefully ignoring them. His attention was on a certain red-head who made look like an idiot. Making his way through the crowd, he noticed her tracing her lips. However, he was not in the phase to contemplate on that as he grabbed hold of her arm. “Hey!” He called out to get the red-head to look at him. “Don't think this is over.” It was clear in his tone that he was not pleased at all. He was furious.

Eon pulled her close to him and with a smooth movement. His lips was on hers. Her hand was pulled by his hand over his shoulder while his hand cupped her face. Unlike the chaste kiss filled with desire, she had given him. He was doing a rather very passionate kiss, instead of longing and adoration, it was burning with annoyance and simply the desire to prove something to her. He was not someone to be played at and even more to be make fun of. As for the crowd around them, they were shocked about the scene seemed to be made for the movies. Some even took pictures and finally confirmed the two as a couple. Oh, if they only knew the root cause of this.

”How truly ironic for I'm a creature of hopelessness, for you look at me in such a way and see hope.”

All of her reactions, they were all accounted for by Aeron. He could see how confused and troubled she was about this fact. It was not within his realm of knowledge what kind of life that Ito had led until now. Everything he knew about her had stemmed from the few days of their physical interactions and his nonsensical observations of her from time to time when Eon would give him a very rough and cold treatment. So, he wondered when did he began to care about someone else than the male prefect. May be, it started when she looked at him with those pleading eyes as she ran away from the doctors and nurses. In any case, he had indeed changed just like what Riri implied.

The silence was soon broken when Ito spoke. She did not know. It was normal. Anyone would be uncertain of what being presented. Even, he would be. Because in his entire existence, life never once gave him something completely free. There were always consequences and most of them were very grave ones. The muffled words that Ito spoke were caught by his hearing. She wanted to live. To someone like him, he had forgotten the essence of that. Was it that beautiful to live? But now, he had met Eon. He wanted to live as well. So, he understand her desire to do so. But, he truly wished he could provide for that wish without the need of him offering a Faustian contract.

Honestly, he did not want to hear her say yes. He had wanted her to back out and find another way without risking herself to change into something that can no longer be considered human. But, she looked at him with those eyes. This time she was not pleading for him to hide her away from anyone. Her eyes reflected something else. This was certainly an ironic twist of fate. He is a creature that takes hope from any living object. Now, Ito was looking at him with such hope to save her from death. He would have laughed if it was possible for him at this moment. However, he would give what she wanted. A means to live and may be, they could both hope that nothing untoward happens to her.

He looked away from her for a moment. There was a motion of sadness in his face. He truly did not want this kind of cure for her. But, it was the only way out for now. Taking a deep breath, he met her eyes with his blue and gold eyes and offered a gentle smile. ”I will help you, Ito-san. I will respect your choice.” Aeron then raised his right wrist and placed it before his mouth. Slowly, he lowered his mouth on the flesh as his fangs protruded. Soon, blood flowed down from his wrist. Reaching for an empty glass on the side table, he allowed his blood to flow down. He was very precise to the amount as he wanted to make sure of Ito's safety from the side-effects as much as possible.

”I'm sorry about this.” He hoped it did not frightened her as he placed the glass on the center table for her to take. As for the injured wrist, it was no more but some of the blood still stained the flesh. He proceeded to lick it off and smiled at her sadly. ”I hope I didn't scare you. Drink my blood, I apologize for the taste.” Once, he was certain that the blood was taken by Ito, he then heard the bells ringing. It seemed time passed by so quickly. He would need to prepare for classes. At the same time, he wanted to see the male prefect as well.

”It is time for my class. I want you to tell me how you feel tomorrow. That way, I will be certain when to stop giving you my blood.” Standing from his seat, he smiled warmly at her. She indeed was looking healthier by the minute. His blood certainly help but too much cannot be good which was the same for everyone. ”Now, it's time to be a prefect. Let's go meet your partner, Ito-san.” It did not take long for Aeron to prepare himself. As usual, he was up front of the night class. Others find it odd to see the short prefect with their leader but they did not thought anything more than that. After all, they were again once more for another comedy routine between the pure-blood and the male prefect.

There was just something wrong. Instead of the usual cheers and screams, there was total silence. It made Aeron wonder if there was anybody beyond the gates. Did something happen? But as the gates opened, he was welcomed by a different scene all together. There was Eon and Kiyoko kissing each other out in the open. He blinked his eyes a couple of time to ensure he was not dreaming. ”This is real right?” He asked to no one in particular as he waited what would happen next,

"Every corner I turn, you are always there. Fate must be enjoying herself at my expense."

Kiyoko had been so engrossed in her thoughts, her actions, that she was not aware of her current surroundings. The only thing that had her focus was the kiss she had just delievered to the prefect. It was an accident, something unintentional and she hadn't meant to do it. It wasn't even meant as a form of a joke. She had truly thought, for a moment, Shinji was there. From there, she couldn't control her actions. She simply did what she did, and somewhere, she didn't regret it. This only caused the blush on her face to intensify more and return to the shade it first was. She could then hear the slight whispers of the students around her.

They wanted to know the cause of the blush. It was normal for the people around her to be nosey about such an action. After all, it wasn't every day they got to see Kiyoko's face fighting for dominance with her hair. Her fingers were still lingering on her lips. The sensation, the feeling, it was awkward and yet pleasant. It was as if she had planned to do that from the beginning and that it was the proper time. Her heart beat increased with each thought and only succeeded in keeping her face a shade of red. It wasn't until the sound of a voice and the grabbing of her arm was she finally snapped out of her stupor.

"Hey-" she stated in a surprised tone when she found herself pulled towards someone. It only took a moment to register who it was when his lips descended upon hers once more. Her eyes widened to the degree that they appeared to almost pop out of her head. If it were possible to turn any other shade of red, Kiyoko would have found it. His kiss was nothing like what she had provided. Her's was an innocent gesture, whereas this one, she could feel the annoyance behind it. That confused her. If he was annoyed why was he kissing her. She snapped out of her thoughts when it finally settled in that he was kissing her. She moved her arms from around his shoulder and placed them against his chest, almost seeming as if she were going to deepen it, however; she pushed him away.

"What the hell Shiraga!?" she stated, her palm connecting with his cheek. She could hear the surprised gasps from the students around her. She had just slapped the prefect. Why? Were they not a couple? That was far from the truth. She wasn't with this particular person. This was just a misunderstanding and she had hoped it wouldn't have gone mis-interpreted. Apparently it had. "It was an accident I didn't mean to! I said I was sorry!" she nearly shouted at the prefect. She could hear the snickers from behind her and she turned to shoot them a glare. Immediately they silenced as she returned her attention towards the prefect.

"I didn't mean anything by it!" She stated. She groaned in frustration as she buried her hands in her face. It felt like it was about to melt off with the burning sensation that was filling it. There were so many people around witnessing this scene. Not that she cared, she was too embarrassed at the moment. Why, of all people, did she have to kiss him? If it were any one else, it wouldn't have been so bad. But the fact remained the same, it wasn't. It had been him. Sometimes she wondered if fate was laughing at her misfortune, or rather why she kept running into him. She truly meant what she said though, or at least that is what she was trying to tell herself.

Why was she always finding herself in this predicament? She was truly wishing now that she had never made that statement about him and the pure-blood. That was the first time they ever interacted. She never had a reason before to interact with the prefect before other than when she was with Sakura. But even then she did not speak with him, nor even acknowledge who he was. It wasn't until she said that he and the Melanthe pure-blood were friends that began this twisted affair. Someone somewhere was laughing and enjoying themselves for this. She took a deep breath and released her face from her hands. She could still feel the blush lingering on her cheeks as she pouted her lips.

"Eonis, I am really sorry. I cannot say that enough, and I doubt that is what you want to hear, but I mean it. If you'll excuse me I have a curfew," she stated as she turned to walk away. She could see Sakura standing with Aeron in the distance, but she didn't want to speak with the girl right now. Her head was throbbing from the blush that still covered her face. It seemed it would linger still even after the fact she was somewhat calm now. She needed to sort everything out. Perhaps the events with Atlas and before were causing some loose screws in her head that needed to be tightened again. After all, nothing worse could happen in this night...right?

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

For some reason, part of her wished he would say no, wished for him to turn her away, to change his mind, she felt so guilty after seeing the sadness etched onto his perfect face. What if she did become a monster? Aeron, and Kiyo, and everyone else would suffer far more than she would. What she was doing was selfish, it was horrible, she should have rejected the offer, left for her dorm, and per paired her death bed, but instead she asked for help. ”I will help you, Ito-san. I will respect your choice.” She felt weak again, asking for help, why was it that all she could do was rely on other people? Sakura's thoughts paused as Aeron raised his right wrist towards his mouth, and slowly allowed his fangs pierce the skin. Instead of being scared by the strange gesture, she found herself watching his every move, slightly confused at to why she was being so observant when it came to the male in front of her, for a moment, she found herself watching his two-toned eyes, searching for any sign of pain, but when she found none, she focused on the blood that was now flowing into a glass, before tearing her gaze away.

It was actually a really good thing Sakura wasn't disgusted when it came to blood, because the last thing she wanted to do right now was puke in front of him because of the sigh of his blood. ”I'm sorry about this.” Her eyes brows came together in confusion. Why was he sorry? She was the one that should be sorry, she was taking his blood, making him hurt himself. ”I hope I didn't scare you. Drink my blood, I apologize for the taste.” So that was why. She simply shook her head and stared down at the glass of blood she now held in her hands. What was the best way to go about this? Small but quick sips? Taking big gulps while plugging her nose? Chugging it all at once and trying not to spill it? There really was no easy way to do this. Why was he saying sorry about the taste? She could barely remember the first time she had drunk his blood from that vial, it had been cold, but so much of her own blood was in her mouth, she couldn't tell the difference. This time the blood was warm, and there was nothing to cancel out the flavor. Sakura had tasted blood before, most of the time it was coppery or tasted like metal, sometimes the mere flavor turned her stomach, so she couldn't help but wonder if this was going to make her sick too.

”It is time for my class. I want you to tell me how you feel tomorrow. That way, I will be certain when to stop giving you my blood.” Sakura nodded and smiled softly at him, before carefully taking a test sip of the blood. Her face screwed up in displeasure, but she quickly schooled the look and tried to look as emotionless as possible. Now that was a odd flavor. ”Now, it's time to be a prefect. Let's go meet your partner, Ito-san.” Sakura turned her back so he could get dressed, she had seen enough of his bare chest to last awhile. Instead, she focused on the blood in her hands. After a deep breath, Sakura tipped her head back, and swallowed half of the blood in one gulp. It was thick and burned slightly as it went down her throat, but she was actually rather interested in the flavor, it was new and different to her. While it was actually very disgusting, there was a kind of...tang to it, that made it so she didn't puke it back up. It was kind of like Kyo's cooking, it was strange. While is tasted of copper, it also tasted, if she dwelled on it enough, like a rare mix of spices that awoke the senses and made you jolt in surprise. It wasn't pleasant, but it wasn't not pleasant either. Sakura shook her head and downed the rest of the blood, ignoring the flavor this time and quickly whipping her mouth on her sleeve before hastily setting the glass down on the small table beside the chair and jumping up to follow Aeron out of his room.

Now this, this was weird. Sakura stood up at the front of the Night Class beside Aeron, shifting her weight from foot to foot and ignoring the looks that were thrown in her direction. Normally one of two of the Night Class would attempt to approach her, Kyo said it had something to do with her blood, but with Sakura standing beside Aeron, even Kyo hung back, it was actually confusing to see Kyo, the boy who was like her brother, glaring at Aeron. Why would he be giving Aeron such a angry look? Sakura shook her head and looked back towards the gates. How did they do this everyday? She had always been on the other end of the gates, waiting for them to come out, she never expected them all to line up so perfect and wait for the gates to open. She found it rather annoying, but she said nothing as she waited. Something felt...off through. All at once the crys of joy and cheers died down, leaving the area horribly silent, the silence stretched on, and it made Sakura's stomach drop in worry.

And then the gates opened. Sakura's mouth dropped open, her lips forming a silent O as she blinked repeatedly. ”This is real right?” That was a good question. Was this real? Sakura found it hard to believe that out of all of those people, those two would be kissing. In front of everyone like there was no one there. "Aeron-san, am I hallucinating?" She asked, not being able to draw her eyes away from the scene in front of her, her voice soft and laced with pure and utter confusion. Then, suddenly, as if the spell had been broken, Kiyo pushed Eon away, slapped him, and then started to yell at him. Now she was really confused. Hadn't Eon tried to shoot Kiyo last night? Now they were kissing? Was that a normal thing for relationships? Did Kiyoko have a thing for guy's with violent streaks? If so, Sakura was going to be dragging the red head to a padded room for the next three months. Figuring no one else would voice it, Kura said the one thing everyone was thinking. "What the hell just happened?" Her voice carried over towards the male prefect and the red head, a few of the Night Class snickered and the Day Class just gaped openly. Strange things always seemed to happen at this Academy.

"This the truth. That girl has a death wish and I will grant it without fail."

The kiss, it truly meant nothing. The crowd, he could careless about what they see. The girl he was kissing, she was truly a conduit for all his greatest trouble. When did this female became such the antithesis to his existence and obligations? Before, he could not even be bothered to acknowledge her or even give her anytime of his day. But now, her every movement, her every word, and her every decision, it always irritates and gets in his way. Soon enough, he encounters the girl in every corner and turn. The moments he gets away from her, it does not last long. Instead, the next time they see each other. His reasons for not wanting to see the girl increases by a tenfold.

Romance, it was nothing more for him but an illusion and a meaningless distraction. There was nothing to gain. No one was special. Every relationship he had once nothing more but a pastime. In his life, he had learn not to care, not to invest, not to have anything. It was better to do that to avoid needless scars that even time will never heal. He learned of that in a very hard way. When he lost the one sanctuary he ever hoped to protect, he had sealed his heart and emotions away. He swore to himself never to feel that searing and frustrating pain that still lingered underneath his skin.

His trail of thought was broken when he felt her hand on his chest. There was an idea of what this could mean. Knowing the barbarian girl, she would not fail to resist him. It was normal and would be considered very odd if she did not. So, he expected her to push her away which he did. He ended that kiss but what was not expected was her hand connecting with the right side of his cheek. The crowd gasped in surprise which he clearly heard. Moreover, he could feel the stinging sensation radiating from his cheek. Did she just slap him? Soon, her voice echoed through the silence.

She shouted at him. Their audience was blatantly surprised at the turn of events. It had not been that long when the male prefect had stated he will be going to the Eclipse-showing with the red-head. Earlier, they were kissing so boldly. Now, they seemed to be in a fight. Are they really together? Or did they just break up at this point? For the two main characters of these many guesses, nothing was close to the truth at all. She apologized once more to him. The girl was saying that it had been an accident. An accident? Somehow, he was more angry than ever.

Those pale green eyes slowly aligned itself on her face which she hid behind her hands. He was not feeling anything a but a burning sensation of irritation which was slowly increasing in such an intensity. She stated that she did not mean anything about it. The hell?! What was he then, someone who did not matter? For the first time in his life, he never felt so humiliated and rather demeaning in his pride. It was not the fact he was slapped or anything. Her reasons for kissing him was an accident? Did not mean anything about it? He hated it very much. Although, he does give them to the ones he had a relationship with before like free candies. He does not want it being done to him.

It was the last straw. Something inside of him was unlocked without much of a fight. He straightened himself as he did not removed those unfeeling eyes on the red-head's form. It was like looking at the eyes of someone dead. Everyone was wary of the silent male prefect. It was not unknown to them of the explosive temper of Eon. They were mostly the receiver of it. That is why most stay away from him but still, they knew the prefect would never follow through his threats of physical pain. As such, no one truly feared the prefect to the degree of avoiding her presence entirely. However, there are certain times that the male prefect's glare was enough for them to stay put and never test the waters. So, they stepped away a bit from the two.

As for the girl, she seemed to regain a sense of balance. Revealing her face to him, she apologized once more. Those pale green eyes of his seemed to have mixed with ocean blue hue. However, they were filled with coldness. His usual aloof and bored expression were nowhere in sight. He hated hearing her voice. “Don't ever speak my name again.”. The crowd froze from hearing such a dangerous tone from the male prefect. This was the only time they heard him like this. It was like a magma boiling out but was so freezing cold. “Don't ever show your face to me again or I will kill you.” Turning his back, he went on his way not caring about his duties as a prefect. He simply wanted to get away from this place. Her presence was purely disgusting to him.

He caught from the corner of his eyes the form of the idiot pure-blood and the small-fry. In truth, he could careless about anyone else right now. They can all go and die. No one barred the prefect's path. They would be insane to do that. He soon disappeared into the forest lines. As for Eon, he really never felt such a killing intent so strong as this. Not even for that dustwipe, he was certain if he sees that red hair in his field of vision, he will truly see crimson which will be her blood. Truly, no one can now guess what would happen this evening. A bond that should have been strengthened was now broken into pieces. Whether it could be repair or not, time can only tell.

”I fear for not what I have seen. I fear for what has yet to come.”

Truthfully, Aeron was not sure what to make of what he was witnessing. Well, he never expected such a thing will ever happen. Judging by how Kiyoko and Eon bicker with one another each time they see each other, he would more of expected a death match or something along those lines. Especially when it was just last night when Eon shot Kiyoko which had been viewed as completely inappropriate and crazy. So, he was willing to bet on something like an argument of even cold shoulders. Not this one, kissing each other.

But like all good things and spells, everything must be broken at some point. In this case, it was shattered with a slap across Eon's face. The pure-blood's eyes widened in surprise. Those two-toned colored eyes of his were filled with shock at the turn of events. He wanted to get in between the two. But, something stopped him. It was those eyes of the prefect. They were hollow with seething rage. There was no need to say this as the crowd seemed to back away sensing the danger. He was not sure what happened between the two exactly but, it was not turning out good.

”Ito-san, if you would stay with Tachibana-san.” After stating that to the girl beside him, he looked to the night class who were finding the scene rather humorous, surprising, and a lot of different things. As of now, Aeron did not want to feed the fire anymore. He could see the thick killing intent that Eon was keeping at bay. ”If you could go ahead of me, I just need to take care of someone.” He said with an assuring smile and then directed his attention to the day class who still lingered around even when Eon and Kiyoko had already left. They would need to leave for their own safety. ”Now everyone we should follow the rules. It is curfew, please go back to your dorms.”

They heard Aeron loud and clear and happily followed Aeron's request. The pure-blood was thankful for listening to him as he cast one final look to Ito. He was certain the girl would be fine. However, she was also prone to many incidents that left her hurt rather than not. It was also the same with Kiyoko. Hopefully, nothing does happen to the two while they are together. Right now, he had someone to soothe and to keep at bay. Because. he could feel Eon's serious intent in those last words he left behind. The scene ended it a very terrifying note. This was not really a good thing in whichever angle one could see it.

”Be careful, Ito-san.” Aeron then left on his own following the trail in which Eon went of to. The pure-blood cannot leave it at that nor could he afford the male prefect in such a state. He knew well what Eon was capable of without being mad. What more if the boy was? He did not want for Eon to undergo something that will be easily regretted later on. Adding to that, he did not want any harm to befall Kiyoko. He did say he would help the girl which was also in respect of her parents. At the same time, he did say he wanted to protect Eon whether from an enemy within or outside.

As he walked, Aeron glanced at the sky above. It was blanketed in the color of rose pink and oranges. The sun was setting and would give way to the night. Unlike with what is happening around him, the sky remained in harmony and peaceful. There were even some birds flying around with no care in the world. He had been once like that. It was easier not to care than to do so. Returning his eyes to the path, he wondered if he was not going to regret this caring of his. Because as of now, he was caring for three people. And so, he continued walking to prevent Eon from doing anything reckless and stupid. This is due to him caring enough. How hard it is really.

"I don't know why, but it hurts, this thing inside my chest. It feels as if someone ripped it out and crushed it right in front of me."

Kiyoko stopped in her tracks. The words that left the prefect's mouth, for some reason, they hurt. Badly. She felt like she couldn't breathe, as if someone had grasped onto her throat and was squeezing the passage way. Her vision had become slightly blurred, and her eyes felt like they were burning. She brought the back of her hand against them and found droplets of water. She was crying. Why? She forced herself to continue walking, in a much hurried pace now, towards her dorm. Why did those words of his hurt so much? They were nothing to each other. He was a prefect, someone who had entered her life accidentally. Sure they bickered..a lot, but somewhere, some twisted side of her had enjoyed those tidbits. Her heart clutched terribly against her chest as she grasped the front of her outfit.

She could feel the droplet of tears falling further and faster down her face. All she ever did, it seemed, was cause trouble for herself. Not only because of who she was, but because of what she did. In all honesty, she had been extremely confused about the new sensation she had felt. He was her first kiss. As odd as it was, Shinji had not been her first kiss. She loved her brother, dearly, but they never had a physical connection. And as such, when she kissed him, it was new. She reacted only by how she knew how. Relationships, they were not something Kiyoko had experienced before. There was never anyone other than him. She had tried to find someone else, but there wouldn't be. There was only him. So why did the words of someone who wasn't him hurt so badly?

There was no doubt in the back of Kiyoko's mind that Eonis would follow through with that threat. His tone, everything about it screamed the truth. It shouldn't matter to her how the prefect felt, or what he said. He was just a student to her, someone from the association who made it very clear to her that he wanted nothing to do with her. And as such, she shouldn't have been affected this way from his words. But there was still this stabbing feeling in her heart. She had been so engrossed in her thoughts that she hadn't realized she had made it back to her dormitory and was leaning against the door to her room. The sky was still painted in the twilight hues, signaling that the day was going to be far from over.

"What have I done?" she whispered to herself as she slumped against her door, burying her head in her knee's. Now was not the time to be making enemies. Tomorrow would be here in just a few hours, and the Eclipse would happen soon thereafter. She still didn't know the meaning behind this particular Eclipse. They happened sometimes as often as two or three times a year. Perhaps, perhaps whatever it was that Atlas wanted could be achieved by any Eclipse. So if he failed at this one, he would still have a chance at whatever it was he was trying to do. Did it have something to do with her brother? These thoughts were slowly overtaking the thoughts of the prefect and how his words still stung. She had only found out recently that Shinji was still alive, and then Atlas had declared that he was a friend. A sudden pulse ran through her being. She heard her name. Someone was calling to her. But who was it?

Come to me.

That voice, it was familiar. It was his voice, the one she longed to return to. Almost immediately, she found herself outside of her room and soon out of the dormitory. Her eyes, they seemed to be hazed over as she turned in the opposite direction. She didn't know where she was going, only that her feet were leading her somewhere. She soon found herself far from the Academy when the trance was broken. She glanced around, taking in the unfamiliar territory as she did so. There was something oddly familiar about it, as if she had been here once before. How could that be though? She had never seen this area before, but the odd thing that stuck out like a sore thumb was a peculiar looking building. It seemed to be ancient if the old Gothic style was any give away. The curved arches were partially destroyed due to time and wear of the weather. It looked like a destroyed church of some sort.

"You shouldn't be here," Shiranui stated as he appeared before Kiyoko. She nearly jumped out of her skin when he spoke, startling her in the process. "Come, I'll take you back," he stated in a rather calm and placid tone. Something flashed behind his amber eyes, a look of worry and dread. Kiyoko furrowed her brows at the wolf as he stood beside her, nudging her arm with his snout in the process. He wanted to get her as far away from here as possible. If she had found this place, it only meant that it was becoming stronger. He only had a few more hours before the day of the Eclipse, and even though Atlas was not around, he wouldn't be able to do anything to protect Kiyoko should Atlas appear out of the blue. It was a direct order from his master, one that he couldn't disobey. Even if he promised her that he would keep Kiyoko safe.

"Nui," Kiyoko called out as she rubbed the wolf's head affectionately. "Please, tell me what you know. I--" she cut herself off as she felt a choke form in her throat. She wanted this nightmare to be over with already. She wanted to return to being a student, someone who wasn't important to anyone or anything. "I can't take this. It hurts so much not knowing what the cause of it all is. Why does Atlas want me to return to being a Kuran? What is so special about the eclipse?" she bombarded the wolf. Shiranui could only hang his head as he allowed her to make her questions known. He wanted to answer her, he truly did. But how could he go about it without bringing more emotional turmoil upon her? He wasn't a fool, he had seen the events between her and the Shiraga prefect.

In a way, he was slightly glad that they were wedging themselves apart. It wouldn't be healthy for her to have an attachment of any sort, especially to him. If he could find a way to remove the Ito girl from her as well, it would make things a lot easier, however; he knew that it would be impossible without killing her. He sighed, placing his head underneath her arm in a comforting manner. He led her to an empty pew that wasn't broken inside the destroyed church as she sat. He stared at her, violet-blue eyes lost in amber in the process. He would tell her only what he could. It would be enough to bring some comfort to her burning mind. But first thing was first.

"Sleep, Kiyoko. I will tell you everything tomorrow," he stated, placing the girl to sleep in the process. Her eyes rolled in the back of her head as she landed softly in the empty chair. "I hope you know what you are doing," he spoke to no one in particular as he glanced up towards the sky, the moon hanging brightly and casting a deep shadow upon the land. He would watch out for her here, in this haven of his, unaware of the bright tears that still lingered on the corners of her eyes.

"Leave me alone, is what is being said, but this is never meant every time.

Where did he go? He was not certain anymore. To Eon, it did not matter. All he wanted was to get away from that place, from everyone, from her impromptu. Thinking about it, this only makes his blood boil to such a degree similar to magma. Gritting his teeth in annoyance, he threw a punch to the tree in front of him. It did not matter that his fist gained a few bruises or the tree received a certain nicks which was quite mark on its bark. He just wanted to vent out all of this rage and irritation which was caused by one individual. Not even a vampire made him feel like this, it is why he is also confused how could some measly girl do this to him. He punched the trunk once more in frustration.

"You did it again.” Aeron noted as he entered the field where he witnessed Eon punching a tree. The prefect was not only hurting himself but damaging an innocent bystander. It is true that he tends to annoy Eon on many occasions. However, he knows when to stop accordingly. "What are you angry about?” Aeron continued on as he approached the seething prefect. He knew the risk of interacting with Eon at the moment. But, there was no other time than now to solve this. If this was allowed some time, the gap and damage will be irreparable in his opinion. So, it would be better to straighten things as much as possible.

Hearing that stupid pure-blood's voice, he turned his head to look at the idiot and glared at the vampire dangerously. Eon was not in the mood to deal with this idiot or any nonsense whatsoever. But, it was not enough. The pure-blood still advanced towards him. He was now very certain this vampire had no brains. Taking out Godhand, he pointed it at the pure-blood without wavering. He will shoot the pure-blood if the idiot does not leave now. Still, the idiot continued on even by asking what he was angry about. The question rippled inside of him but, it only made him angry more. “Leave me alone, you good-for-nothing idiot.”

Such words does not mean anything to Aeron anymore. He had gotten used to it. After all, Eon calls him that everyday of each week. He was not even frightened as Eon pulled out his anti-vampire weapon and pointed it at him. If he dies now, then it would be fine by him. He will have no regrets for he died at the hands of Eon. This is what he is sincerely thinking of. "No.” Aeron stated as he finally stopped before Eon with the barrel of the gun touching his chest where the heart is located. Those two-toned eyes looked at Eon's ash green eyes with such seriousness which might startle the prefect a bit. "Tell me, do you like her?”

This pure-blood was really testing his patience in every way. Challenging him with every step forward, the pure-blood even stopped exactly in front of his gun without fear. This infuriated Eon even more when the pure-blood answered no. He pressed the tip of his gun at the pure-blood's chest. “Do you have a death wish!?” For the first time, the pure-blood did not look at him with such annoying adore and affection but with grave seriousness that made him wonder. Still, it was not enough to abate the fires of his rage. But, the next question did. “What the hell did you say!?” Eon shouted in surprise and disbelief of the question. His face was also slightly flushed.

Aeron noted this inwardly. The prefect was truly but a boy. As for him, he had been around to understand such feelings. After all, he had used such emotions to his advantage, a disguise to erase his existence. Yet, they were not truly his but something he had manipulated for a non-existential purpose. "Then, why are you mad at being rejected?.” Instead of pulling the trigger, he decided to punch Aeron square on the face which fully connected to the pure-blood's right cheek. Aeron's face moved due to the impact however, he remained in his position in front of Eon.

“Shut up!” Eon shouted angrily. There was no way, he was mad because of that possibility. There was no way he liked that troublesome girl. He was angry for the fact of being mistaken for someone else or being treated as nothing more but an accident. No one was allowed to do that to him. He did not care if he does that to another but to him, it was not fine. This was a matter of pride to him and also being considered less in her eyes. Wait, was that right? Why would he care what that red walrus thought of him. This was more than frustrating. “I don't like that barbarian!” Eon stated with such resistance and agitation.

Narrowing his eyes, Aeron finally decided on something. There are times people needed a certain push. This was the least he could do. He did not want to see Eon feeling miserable. At the same time, he wanted for the boy to learn how to properly show his feelings. Although, he knows that this would be quite a feat judging how stubborn the male prefect was. "If you do not like her, I will take her for mine.” The way Aeron stated it was filled with such seriousness. There was no other way to be considered it as nothing more than fact. His two-toned eyes never showed hesitation at all.

Eonis was not certain what to think about the pure-blood's statement. He did not care who this idiot falls in love or fancies. Actually, it would be good for him as the pure-blood would finally stop pestering him. At the same time, he will not be bothered with the declaration of love and all that nonsense. “Fine! She's all yours!” With that said, Eon removed himself and finally walked away from the pure-blood. However, he cannot help but feel a bit more agitated than ever. If he really didn't care about the girl, why the hell was he so bothered by the thought of Aeron being with her. “Damn!” He muttered as he continued to leave. As for Aeron, he released a sigh and shook his head. The boy was still stubborn as ever. But, he must not follow through his words. "Mine she is then.”

"Sometimes a dream is more pleasant than reality. I wish I could just dream and never wake."

Blood.

It was everywhere, coating everything. It was as if it were a waterfall cascading down endlessly with no end. A pair of hands emerged from them, reaching out towards Kiyoko the process. A flash of confusion appeared across her face as she reached out in response. As soon as their hands connected, the image changed. The blood was no longer around, nor was it dark. Instead, the sky was blinding and beautiful. The air was cool, the wind crisp, and the laughter of people filled the area. There was a woman who bore little resemblance to Kiyoko, but she knew who it was. The man that sat with the woman smiled at Kiyoko, offering out his hand as
he sat next to the man, a butterfly in his hands.

Smiling, Kiyoko took her father's hand and sat next to
him, grabbing his hand as the butterfly flew away. The boy smiled, pulling her into an embrace and held onto her, causing the two adults to smile and laugh as Kiyoko pouted. She tried to remove herself from her brother's death grip, but in the end conceded and stayed in his arms. A smile then played at her lips, closing her eyes as she relaxed in his hold, enjoying the warmth they were bringing. When she opened her eyes again, she was no longer a small child. The arms that encircled her form were possessive, hungry for something, and full of desire.

She turned to face the one who held her so, violet-blue meeting nothing but emptiness. A finger trailed down her cheek, causing a trail of blood to follow in the process. It wasn't her blood, but someone else's. She couldn't tell who it belonged to as the face was blurred. She reached out, grasping the bloodied hand into her own and kept it along her face. She didn't care whose blood this was, who this hand belonged to. The only thing that mattered was that
she belonged to it, to him.

And that was all that mattered.

Kiyoko woke, the moon still hanging high in the sky. It appears that Shiranui was missing as well. She frowned slightly before sighing, sitting up in the pew that she had fallen asleep in. She rubbed the corners of her eyes, removing the crust in the process. She took a deep breath as she glanced at her surroundings. This place, it seemed so familiar to her and yet, she knew that was impossible. She had never been here before, that much she knew and was aware of. Standing from her spot, she took a few steps around the destroyed building. With Shiranui gone, all hope of her questions being answered were crushed. He had said he was going to answer them, but now he was nowhere in sight.

"I should return," she stated as she glanced at the building once more. It wasn't wise to be out in the open without Shiranui by her side, but the only problem that presented itself was that she didn't know her way back. She could try and find a way back, but she'd only succeed in getting herself more lost than what she already was. She sighed, pulling at her long locks as she combed her fingers through them. She could at least try, and if she got lost, there was this inkling in the back of her mind that Shiranui would find her once he realized she was gone. With that in mind, she began a slow trek towards the Academy.

The words the prefect spoke, they still haunted her ears, stinging them in the process. The next time he'd see her, he said he would kill her. This caused a glazed look to cover her eyes, because she knew he was not lying. The intent, the seriousness behind those words were conveyed enough through the sound of his voice and the look in his eyes. Her life was in danger should she ever cross paths again with him. There was little choice she had in the matter. She didn't want to always have to look over her back to make sure she wouldn't spot the prefect, and she didn't want to have to feel like her life was in danger all the time. It was bad enough that a pure-blood was trying to make her vampire again.

There was only one option she truly had, and that would be to leave the Academy just for her sake alone. But she didn't want to. It would require her to leave her friends, the ones she had slowly considered family like Sakura. She couldn't leave them, she wouldn't leave them. She had told Aeron that she wasn't raised to run from her problems, and this would be exactly what she was doing. Running. She'd be running away from them instead of facing them. But how could she face this problem? She wasn't as strong as Eonis was, that much she was certain of. She wasn't raised to be a hunter. Granted she did train with them when she was younger, but she never fulfilled that training. All she had wanted was a normal life.

She wanted to believe that her brother was dead, that she could fall in love with someone else. After graduation, she wanted to believe she could have a family of her own, raise them away from what she had been born and raised into. As the days passed though, it was becoming apparent that the normal life she desired would not be in her grasp. It would continue to slip through her fingers and she would never possess it. This caused her to stop in her journey, tears stinging the sides of her eyes. Her eyes were set in a glare at the ground as the tears fell. She hated this. She hated crying over something that was out of her control.

"Okaa-san," she called out, glancing up at the sky. "I don't know what to do. I--" a slight pause in her throat as she turned away. "I need help," she finished. She glanced around, as if expecting an answer, however; there was none. She laughed bitterly to herself. Of course she wouldn't receive an answer. Her mother wasn't here. Her mother and her father were both gone. She didn't know where they were, but how she missed them so dearly right now. And how she needed them. She was brought out of her stupor when a golden butterfly appeared in front of her, fluttering softly as if it were having trouble flying. She plucked it from the air and held it gently in her hands.

It flapped it's wings softly before flying off again, beckoning for Kiyoko to follow it. She smiled softly as she followed after the butterfly. Was it going to lead her out of this maze? Or was it going to lead her deeper within? Kiyoko did not know, but there was a sense of serenity washing over her in the process. It felt as if it were lifting all of her problems from her, forcing her to forget them. As such, she soon found herself staring at the front gates of the Academy. She watched as the butterfly landed in her hand, flapping it's wings once more. "Thank you," she muttered, watching as the butterfly disintegrated and turned into a golden dust. The wind carried it away from her. She opened the gates and made her way silently towards her dorm. If he was still up and about doing patrols, she didn't want to be caught. She didn't want to have to see him right now, nor make him follow through with his threat.

So she tread as quietly and as quickly as she could. She stopped, however, in front of the cherry blossom tree where the trouble first sprouted from. She placed a hand on the bark, watching as the petals fell softly around her. She could feel an overwhelming sadness plaguing her. It tore at her heart and she couldn't explain it. She fell to her knee's, face clutched in her hands as she felt the tears once again pour from her. The cherry blossoms continued to fall around her, covering her in a light blanket of pink. At this point in time, she didn't care if he followed through with his promise. He would be doing everyone a favor. She wouldn't be targeted by Atlas, he wouldn't have to deal with her as a problem, and most of all, she could finally be at peace. That wasn't such a bad thing to wish for...was it?

”This is a question filled with possibility. Will you say yes or no is something profound.”

Aeron looked at the sky as the moon remained as the sole light of the dark world below. He did not follow Eon for there was no meaning on running after the boy. The prefect has already a food for thought. He would leave it at that for now. Well, he still has to do what he had declared to Eon. There was no turning back on that now. Seeing Eon's reaction, he has enough information on what the boy was probably truly feeling. It was just that the male prefect was still innocent in more ways than Eon would like to admit. So troublesome truly, Aeron cannot help but release a long sigh.

Well, he was going to return to his class for the night. He only wonders if Ito had managed to accompany Tachibana. It is true that the pure-blood princess had told him that she would not run from her problems. That was a strong decision but, she was still young to carry such a huge burden by herself. So, there was no harm in lending a hand at such times. Returning his gaze at the path before him, it was then he caught some fluttering pink blossoms in front of him. There must be a nearby cherry blossoms tree. Stopping momentarily, there was no harm taking a detour.

Sometimes, there are certain chances in life which one can never predict as to consequence or an invisible hand working behind the scene. Because right now in front of him, the red-haired princess was underneath the cherry blossoms tree. ”Good evening, red-hair oneesan.” Yes, this was like the first time he had went after her. It seemed it was becoming quite the habit for him to go after the girl every time that Eon literally screws up. As far as he could tell, he had become so sort of peacekeeper. He wondered if that would be so for the next minute or so. ”It seems we keep meeting again under a tree.”

Aeron stopped at a respectable distance between him and Tachibana. This was like a repeat of what happened last time. But as it would appear, Ito was not able to come after the girl. He wondered if Ito was fine. ”How are you feeling?” He asked as those two-toned eyes of his looked at her with concern. After all, he was there when the kiss and then the consequently break-up occur. So, he knew the rather serious and reckless words that Eon had directed towards her. ”I don't know why Eon says such harsh things to you.” He looked at the pink blossoms now falling on both of them. They were such a beautiful shade which complements her red hair. Speaking of which, he should take this opportunity.

”I should tell you I like the color of your hair.” This time his eyes were now upon Tachibana's face as he softly smiled. The girl did not look like her parents that is for certain. However, she was just as perfect as she is in his opinion. Catching a few blossom on the his gloved hand, he looked at it with an insightful meaning. ”So this is his lost. I will take this chance too.” He approached Tachibana but, still there was a centimeter gap between them. This was close enough for him to say what he needed. But, he did not do anything as to reach out for her. He will never take the risk to do such a thing. ”Would you like to take a chance with me?”

”I do not like to see you like this.”His words flowed out of his lips in such a gentle and kind manner. Those mismatched eyes of his held a certain degree of understanding and affection. For in the end, he was going to stand by what he stated to Eon. This must be done and so he will do so. ”Will you like to be my lover?” An evening wind passed by them as it rustled the pink petals falling upon them more than ever.

"Taking a chance means putting things behind me. Can I truly do that? Should I take this chance? It's confusing."

By the time Kiyoko realized that someone else was in the vicinity, her tears had stopped. Her eyes were still red and puffy, the after affects of such a thing. She rubbed her eyes of the last few tears as she sat up straight, turning so that she could see the white-haired pure-blood. She offered him a meek smile as he stopped at a respectable distance. She glanced up to the tree and laughed lightly at his statement. It would seem they held truth. This was the second time they met underneath a tree. And for some odd reason, it was also the second time that it was because she had been upset at what Eonis had did. She took a deep breath, turning her attention back to the pure-blood.

"So it seems, Hare-san," she finally replied. "Honestly, I do not know how I am feeling," she replied to his question. It was true in a sense that she didn't know. It felt as if she were being weighed down by something she couldn't explain, and as such it felt like it was difficult to breathe. This sensation was something she had never felt before. There was something similar to it that she had felt, but that was due to her brother. She had felt an emptiness in her being when she did not know what happened to him. As such, she had tried to fill that void with something that would take her mind away from him, but she always found herself lingering back to him. She pushed that away as she stared at Aeron. He then spoke of why Eonis would say such things.

"I do not blame him Hare-san. He had every right to say that. What I did, it was an accident. I truly thought for a moment that he was him, but I should have known better," she stated, trying to justify Eonis' actions and words towards her. She stood from her spot and dusted the cherry blossoms off of her in the process. She meant it though, she didn't blame him at all. She would probably have reacted (less threatening of course) the same way if someone kissed her in the intent of thinking about someone else. But she wasn't angry. Hurt maybe, but angry she wasn't. She couldn't stay angry at someone for long, no matter how they wronged her. It was something she just couldn't do. She was brought out of her thoughts when he complimented her hair. A light blush stained her cheeks in the process as she played with a strand.

"Thank you, Hare-san," she stated, tilting her head slightly and offering a small smile. "I find it a bit odd myself though," she stated, pulling a strand in front of her. She found it odd because she was a Kuran, and Kuran's typically sported auburn brown hair. Her's was a vibrant shade of crimson, something that had always caused her to question if she truly was a Kuran. But that had been quelled on more than one occasion so she knew it to be true. His next statement caused her to tilt her head in confusion. His loss? What did he mean by that? What chance? Those questions were immediately answered when he asked if she would like to take a chance with him. Her face flared up slightly at the thought.

"I...ah," she stuttered. She couldn't find the proper words to state as she stumbled over them. Be his lover, her? The question was odd and it caused her heart to beat wildly behind her chest. She couldn't stop it as she tried to calm it down. Why would he ask such a thing? It made no sense. She didn't take him as one who would want to be with anyone else other than the male prefect. Was this his way of trying to comfort her? That couldn't be right because the way he stated the question, it seemed so sincere and truthful. This only confused her more. But then again, that chance he spoke of, would she really be willing to take a chance? It would mean that she would no longer think about her brother, she could try to move on. It didn't help that these emotions she was experiencing were making it difficult to think. Perhaps it is why she nodded her head slightly to him.

"Okay," was the only word that escaped her lips. Although it was a soft whisper, she was sure he could hear it. She would take a chance. It frightened her though, as if she were not making the right decision, that she should apologize and say no. But she couldn't. She couldn't say no and she was afraid to now. It was an odd fear creeping within her. She put it off because of the fact that he was a vampire, she was a human. Although she technically wasn't truly a human, at this current moment, she was. "I will confess, I have always adored your eyes Hare-san. They are beautiful and remind me of a time long forgotten," she stated, the smile returning to her lips once more as she smiled brightly at him. Still, she couldn't help this unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"This is not my concern. It never is and even now. Then, why is that I feel something twisting inside of me?"

Another day had now come and pass. With the rising sun, Eon opened his eyes in greetings to it. Of course, he did not want to. But, there was little choice really. The blinding and warm light soaked him completely. Why is that? He slept not inside his room but on the rooftop. Clicking his tongue, he should have just listened to reason and comfort, than recklessness and annoyance. He would have been inside his room and on a soft mattress. Instead, he was lying on cold pavement. Well, what is done is done. There was no crying over spilt milk as they say.

Releasing a huge yawn, he stood from his position and stretched his limbs and body. He even dusted his clothes as well. After doing so, he walked towards the ledge and had his pale green eyes focused on the horizon soon bathed with such brilliance. He liked sunrises than sunsets really. To him, he liked beginnings than endings. But of course, his profession is that which brings an end to things. The reason or the start of the trouble was not his concern. All that matters is that the problem was now finished and done for. It was simple as that.

Anyway, he will skip his classes this time as well. At the same time, he would need to get some information if anything happened last night. After all, he ran out of his duties due to... He stopped himself from thinking further as he did not want his morning to be ruined by someone who should just keel over and all that. So, he turned his back from the horizon and proceeded to leave the rooftop. It was still early and the day class students should just be waking from the sleeps at the dormitory. No one will see him and that was fine knowing their inquiring gazes.

He was certain what happened yesterday will be the hot topic for about a month or so. Then, he knew that they will kept on pushing the topic and all that gossip. It was going to be annoying every step of the way. So, he better make sure to those people that he was not going to be bothered by meaningless matters. Anyway, he soon made his way to his dormitory without much of a hassle. As such, he cleaned up and then made a meal for himself. While doing so, he remembered that tomorrow will be the Eclipse-Viewing and the day that the dustwipe had declared.

It would be good to finally settle the score with that arrogant bloodsucker. As for the target, he could careless. He did not even want to think about it. Anyway, he will be more alert than ever. After finishing his meal, he decided to visit Iris at the stables. The mare had always been waking him up and experience the most annoying and oddest of things. He wondered if that horse was created just to make his life miserable. But then again, Iris had always been a favored companion of his no matter what.

As he walked outside, the already awaken day class students began to chatter. Well, he did not care about the topic until he heard three words used in one sentence, Aeron, Lovers, and Kiyoko. He knew that the idiotic pure-blood did declare to make that red walrus his but, why did that red-haired barbarian agreed to be in a relationship? Wait! Why was he thinking about it anyway?! Clicking his tongue in annoyance, he clenched his teeth in irritation. Students who found Eon began wondering what the prefect might be feeling. Did he feel betrayed? Being rejected and all of that.

For Eon, he glared at the students whose words reached his ears. He did not care for those two. They can get buck naked and dance in hula hoops and he would not even glance their way. However, there was something awkward about him in his opinion. Why does he feel very irritated? Why does he dislike the idea of seeing those two together? Damn it! Nothing makes sense as he hurried his steps to reach the stables. There he could get the comfort and sort his thoughts in complete peace.

”It shall be a promise to keep with all I have, for me to protect you and to make you smile.”

Strong and too kind-hearted, this is what Aeron sees in her. Still justifying the recklessness of Eon, she made it so as her fault in some way. This could be the reason many had been drawn to her. They were not just mainly due to her lineage or other nonsensical matters. It is because of who she is as a person. No wonder Ito is attached to her and of course, the usually taciturn prefect loses his cool quickly. This girl has such a powerful charm which she is not aware of herself. In any case, the case of mistaken identity should not be enough to have Eon say such drastic things. Well, Eon was still a child in terms of expressing his emotions. How similar to a child throwing a tantrum.

But seeing how affected she is, Aeron has a strong feeling that the bond which ties the two will not simple end at this. So, he will allow himself to be an instrument whatever kind of relationship was meant for those two. That is why, he had asked that question without any doubt. He was sincere in his proposal of taking a chance. This affection may not bloom or if it does, he will deal with it accordingly. There would be no need for her to cry over it and feel pain, this is something he would promise to her. As the question lingered, he waited with anticipation and a tinge of nervousness.

Her reaction was normal. After all, he did just ask out of the blue to be each other's significant counterpart. They barely knew each other aside from the talks they had and the reputation built around them. Truth be said, they were complete strangers and here was asking her to be his lover. He would not mind to have her reject him. It was actually the most logical thing to do. If that was so, he would simply work hard to make her more comfortable with him and ask once more. So as she stuttered, he waited patiently. But, he was slightly anxious. His heart was beating a bit faster than normal. He wondered why this was happening.

Then, he saw her nod and heard her answer. Aeron was not sure what kind of emotion washed over him. Was it relief? Was it happiness? Was it excitement? He was not certain how to classify. All he knew, he cannot help but smile ever so sweetly along with his cheeks getting flushed in the process. His two-colored eyes gazed at her with such gentleness and warmth. She confessed that she liked his eyes. ”They are yourrs now, Kiyoko.” He said with such sincerity. Even if, this was just going to be but an instrument. He will ensure that everything will be genuine.

”I will not change anything about you.” Aeron wanted to make this clear. She might be worried about him changing her into what she truly is. However, he will not do that without her consent. At the same time, he will support her in whatever she wishes to do. ”I will always be by your side.” As such, he slowly raised his gloved hand and placed it on her cheek. This should be fine as long as there is no direct skin contact. His touch was gentle and very delicate as if she was precious china that could break from the slightest pressure. For the first time, this will the only moment where he had reached to touch someone other than Eonis.

”Then, I will be very happy if I could be your escort for the eclipse watching.” He tilted his head to the side for this inquiry. Ah yes, he did hear that something was bound to happen on that day. She must also be worried about that and judging this past days. Nothing was truly solved. She must be very confused and trying to hold on by sheer will. ”From now on, you're not alone.” He softly traced her face like wonderful sculpture and placed a finger on her lips. This was one thing he could not provide her with. Because, it will be her death. ”So smile, it suits you more Kiyoko.”

And so, the day ended on that note. Aeron was no longer a bachelor or was he accused of being a homosexual. Because right now, he is now the lover of a certain Kiyoko Tachibana. Of course, this news rippled like a tidal wave within the academy. So, it will not be surprising if it will also be known by the vampire society outside the school walls. For now, Aeron looked at the alarm clock which said that it was early morning when he is supposedly asleep. It is because, he has something to do. Without much interruption, he summoned the ever-troublesome familiar of his. ”Riri.”

On cue, his feline familiar appeared with a rather amused expression. It seemed he will not be able to hide anything from Riri. "Now, now Master. Aren't you quite the busybody?" The feline stated while her tails swished side-wards and those large eyes of her seemed to peer into the very core of his being. Of course, Aeron was used to his familiar's antics. As such, he simply lay down on his bed and placed an arm over his eyes. Riri shook her head at this. Her master had made it his responsibility to protect three people now. First, the male, second, the girl, and third, this lover. Well, things were bound to get interesting. "I'm off then" And so, Riri left the pure-blood alone as Aeron knew how different he had become.

"Choices are a profound thing. You either make the right one or you don't. But it's truly not that simple. It is why I wonder if I truly made the right one."

Kiyoko's smile only softened at Aeron's reaction and statement to her own about his eyes. They were her's now. She was slightly startled out of her thoughts when she felt something on her face. Her eyes opened once more to see Aeron tracing her face with his gloved hand. A small blush formed on her face in the process as she shifted a bit. Not because she was uncomfortable, but because this was something very new to her. She had entered into something she had no experience in and she wasn't sure where to go from here. So, she'll allow him to show her.

"Thank you, Aeron. And I'd be delighted to have you accompany me to the Eclipse viewing," she stated before his finger traced her face and landed on her lips. Her eyes widened slightly at his declaration of her not being alone anymore. They then settled back as her smile merely brightened. Not alone, it was something that she would cherish. She had someone to share her loneliness with now, so she wasn't alone any longer. With that, the night ended and a new one began.

Kiyoko sighed into her lunch as she ate silently by herself. Normally, she would be eating with her friends or with Sakura, but today was not the case. Sakura had caught a small cold and was sleeping it off, and her friends well... they were a bit annoying today. It appears that her saying yes to a certain pure-blood, spread like wild fire throughout the school. It was the subject of the day's gossip, and quite frankly, she was getting annoyed by it. Her friends and classmates kept telling her how lucky she was, that how they wished they could be in her shoes, however; it annoyed her to no end. She had only said yes due to a certain conflict, and even now she was having doubts about if she made the right decision. Then there were some who stated that she should have never rejected the prefect, how the two of them made more sense than the two-toned eyed Night Class student.

This only caused her face to flare as she angrily retorted for them to mind their own business. So, here she was, sitting outside on top of the school's roof, eating her lunch in solitaire. Not that she minded, she could use this time to reflect on her decision. She had said yes to the pure-bloods question, why? She liked him enough, but it wasn't something she could link to as something close to being considered a lover. The affection she had for him was more on terms with the same that she had for Sakura and her friends. And that was just it, friend. Maybe, if she stayed with him longer, those affection's would turn into something more. But then again, it would be forced. A love forced wasn't love at all, that much she knew. She sighed, pulling her legs up to her chest in the process.

Her eyes were hidden behind her hair as it fell over, covering her in a thick red blanket. She sighed as she released a frustrated groan. She was getting nowhere with these thoughts. She needed help, advice, something to help her. She glanced up at the sky, laughing a bit at the irony that it was bright. The clouds were idly rolling by, the sun hidden behind a few in the process, and the birds were chirping quietly. Standing from her spot, she walked over towards the edge of the building and glanced down. There, she spotted the same cherry blossom tree, the one that was now becoming the bane of her existence. It was there that it happened, and it was there that Aeron asked her that question.

She frowned slightly as a light breeze filtered through the air, bringing a few loose blossoms in the process. She grabbed a few and watched as they flew from her. A smile appeared on her lips in the process. She needed to speak with Aeron. She needed to tell him something, and apologize. She should have never said yes because she knows now that she could never love him as more than a friend. Her heart, although she knew not whom, belonged to someone else. And she would know who when the time came. She needed to correct something before it became too deep. She couldn't have that, and it wouldn't be fair to Aeron. For now, she'd remain here and wait for classes to start again. She would speak with him when the time came for the classes to switch.

"Honesty? It's my best virtue. So, why am I thinking that I am a lie...?"

For the first time, Eon was having a hard time to be completely relax. Usually, he would be at once and would take a nap on the hay. As if, there was nothing bothering him at all. This place was his sanctuary and in here, all that mattered was his peace of mind. However, he was now walking quite restlessly inside the stables. His hands were inside his pant pockets. His eyes were narrowed in deep thought and irritation. Lips were curled in dissatisfaction. His presence if it could be seen by any eye would be presented with a dark cloud with thunderstorms. The horses which were minding their business were now watching the male prefect from walking back and forth. Their eyes were sparkling with amusement.

However, the prefect was not finding his current situation entertaining at the very least. He would have found it acceptable if his worries were all about his job or something along those lines. Yet, it was not about that. His mind was filled with irritating thoughts of the fag and walrus being cutesy and all. It was downright annoying in every sense and every definition. Why was he so affected by such a connotation or declaration. He should not care about whatever those two decide. They got nothing to do with him. That's right, he should not care at all. In addition, it is what he had declared to them both. So, what was going on with him. This was just damn confusing.

Stopping finally from his pacing, he took out his hands from his pockets and angrily scratched his head. Nothing was making sense to him and he truly hated it. Taking a deep breath, he looked up and wondered what was the root cause of this all. Closing his eyes, he allowed himself a moment of reprieve from the tumultuous thoughts and uncertain feelings. He was truly lost at this very moment. Everything was not as it seems and furthermore, he was not also certain about his feelings anymore. Then, there was a ghost of a voice that echoed deep inside of him.

"She is mine..."

His eyes opened in surprise. Instinctively, he lost his balance. Fortunately, there was a wooden pillar behind him as he leaned on for support. That voice was so familiar to him. It was the one who would call to him in his dreams and had become quite incessant recently. Actually, it would also be in such cases when he was wide awake. He wondered if it was someone who was connected to his forgotten past. Although, he was not also completely solid on that idea. The reason? It was because, he felt that whoever was calling for him was somewhat connected to him in a deeper level. As if, he was calling to himself. Of course, this was impossible in many ways. But, he could not help but think that way. It was due to the emotions rushing inside of him. Gripping his mind and heart so easily, it was like losing himself in feelings completely foreign yet not really.

Placing a hand on his face, Eon would not admit openly. But, he was afraid. He was scared of what was happening to him internally. It was then, he heard a bell ringing. Removing the hand on his face, he looked to the entrance of the stables. There was no person there. Instead, he saw a creature resembling that of a cat looking at him with such eyes. It was like everything about him could be revealed in those depths easily. Moreover, he could feel that link. So, this was a familiar. “What do you want.” He was not in the mood for games and that was well-delivered in his statement and tone which was deadpan serious.

Game Master Controls

Welcome home, Promethean. Here, you can manage your universe.

Arcs

Arcs are bundles of posts from any location, allowing you to easily capture sub-plots which might be spread out across multiple locations.

Add Quest » Quests

You can create Quests with various rewards, encouraging your players to engage with specific plot lines.

Add Setting » 1 Settings for your players to play in

Settings are the backdrop for the characters in your universe, giving meaning and context to their existence. By creating a number of well-written locations, you can organize your universe into areas and regions.

Collectibles

By creating Collectibles, you can reward your players with unique items that accentuate their character sheets.

Once an Item has been created, it can be spawned in the IC using /spawn Item Name (case-sensitive, as usual) — this can be followed with /take Item Name to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.

Mobs

Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!

Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!

Current Mobs

No mobs have been created yet.

Spawns
