Kiyoko Tachibana

"Only by joy and sorrow does a person know anything about themselves and their destiny. They learn what to do and what to avoid."

a character in “Vampire Knight: Into Darkness”, as played by Azazel

Description

Image

Name: Because of the fact that she grew up with her adopted parents, she doesn't sport the last name Kuran. Instead, she often calls herself Tachibana in respect to the people who raised her. Either or, she always prefers to go by Tachibana regardless. People seem to freak when she reveals her name as Kuran.

Nickname: Yoko: Kiyo: Tai: Tachi; A nickname she picked up due to her surname. It is often shortened to Tachi or occasionally Tai.

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Race: Pure-blood turned Human

Role: Second Kuran Heir

Hair Color: Red; Although it appears to be closer to a crimson color.

Eye Color: Cobalt Blue; Appears almost violet at times.

Skin Tone: Ivory

Height: 5'6

Weight: 130

Voice:
"What do you want out of life?"

Physical Description: Beautifully crafted locks fall like a wall of crimson. A sheen that reflects off of the tresses glitter like freshly spilled blood upon a snow-encased land giving a rather interesting appearance. The length itself is rather ludicrous as it falls to her ankles, give or take a few inches. She takes pride in her hair and refuses to cut it. Her reasoning is that someone once remarked that they loved her hair and wished for her to not cut it. She hasn't since, only to trim it occasionally to rid it of the split ends. There will be times, in order to get it out of her way, she'll braid it and throw it into a styled bun. She often does this in order to not trip over it when she is required to run. Otherwise she'll leave it down or throw it into a messy ponytail. Some strands fall a little shorter than the longer ones, resting just above her diaphram with her bangs being swept to the side and held in place by a clip that is dear to her. The glow of her hair is in contrast to her ivory skin tone, something that she also prides herself in as she has hardly no blemishes whatsoever. There is a very light scar on the side of her neck that never healed properly, however; she doesn't cover it up and ignores the questions that are directed at it.

Her eyes are also somewhat of a peculiar shade. While not retaining the Kuran family crimson brown, she has a cobalt blue shade inhabiting her eyes. The color could often be referred to as a steel blue as well within a certain lighting a violet shade. They are large in appearance and appear rather warm and welcoming, giving a false sense of serenity when in reality, they can be just as fierce and determined. Her height tends to highlight this trait as she stands at a taller than average height, just by a mere inch or two. She doesn't tower over people, and she doesn't necessarily have to look up at them either. With her height comes an accentuated body. Her limbs are a bit longer, giving her a rather regal and graceful appearance. To top that off, curves accent certain areas of her body, mainly around her waist and legs in what would appear to be an almost hour-glass figure. It isn't exactly noticeable as she tends to dress in comfortable clothing and would rather not draw unwanted attention. Her cheeks have a natural dust of pink, adding to her pale complexion. Although she has an average weight for her height, a majority of it is made up of muscle she has picked up over the years thanks to training.

Potential Interest: None. As a Kuran, she was already betrothed to her brother, however; that isn't to say she will not change her feelings. She has this inkling in the back of her mind that she knows she is already with someone, however; it is just a feeling and it isn't something she acts upon. She hasn't found the person she can stay interested in long enough, and when she does, she'll know.

Skills and Abilities: As a mere human, Kiyoko lacks in any great physical skills. Her only ability is the ability to cook. It was something she did as a past time and enjoys it greatly. She can cook up almost any dish should one desire and has a way she makes it that gives it a sort of flare. She carries nothing special except for quicker reflexes than the average human. She spent most of her time with the Tachibana children, learning what they learned, and as a result, her reflexes are a lot sharper than average. So is her flexibility, however; she doesn't show this off often. If she were to ever be returned to her vampiric state, she would retain the abilities of her family. As a pure-blood, she would have control of lesser vampires, however; because she has spent most of her life as a human, it would be rather difficult for her to do so. Also, she would have the typical ability to erase memories. It is unknown if she inherited any other abilities as she is still a human and has yet to retain her vampire side. As far as her human abilities go, Kiyoko has a knack for cooking. It is something she greatly enjoys and is always the one making lunches for herself and her friends. She occasionally makes a few extra boxes just incase.

Other: Because she is the daughter of a Kuran, her blood has a certain allure to it when exposed. She tries her best to be careful, however; accidents do happen from time to time and she tries her best to keep the smell from becoming to strong. She has a fear of becoming a vampire. Although she has nothing against it, the mere thought of having to sustain her life with the life of others scares her. This is quite odd as she tends to have more friends from the Night Class than the Day Class. Also, despite most girls her age, when it comes to love, Kiyoko is completely oblivious and as a result has never been with anyone not only because of this, but because of her already pre-disposition as being his, although she is unsure of who he is.

She has had a few that have managed to capture her interest, however; they never manage to hold it long enough for her to actually form a bond. The memories that were erased had to do with her brother's descent into madness. She remebers very little of her brother and only knows that the feeling in the back of her mind is an annoying itch that won't go away everytime she thinks about him. Because of her lack of interest in the male population, she tends to be more focused on her school work and would have made it to be the top of her class, however; her lack of drive for such things has placed her in the top percentage.

Personality: Kiyoko wears her heart on her sleeve. She is a caring person who would do anything for anyone. Often times she'll put herself in danger's way to protect those she cares about and will not hesitate to step in should her assistance be required. This has caused her to be a bit reckless on occasion, however; she truly means everything she does. When doing something, she puts her all into it, believing that hard work will pay off and more often times than not it has for her. She takes everything as a challenge and takes it head on. She can also have a bit of a temper should someone ever get on her bad side and isn't afraid to say so. Despite this, if she is extremely close to the person who upset her, she will bite her tongue and let them get away with it. This has caused her to be a bit of a pushover when it comes to those she cares about.

As a free-spirited young woman, she doesn't allow things to bother her much and will usually shrug whatever it is off. The gesture would have to be really annoying to her for her to snap and figuratively assault the person. She is much like the water. At one moment she can be calm and another she can be fierce and destructive. As such, she takes great care to work on her patience, which seems to be infinite unless under certain circumstances. The one thing she truly has trouble with is trusting others. There are only about four or five people she actually trusts, and will do anything to ensure their safety. She has a rather sarcastic nature when she is feeling lively and often likes to tease people on occasion. Whether it's about their crush on someone or about a certain aspect of their appearance they like or dislike. Of course she does it with care as to not upset them, however; there are times where she can't help herself. She likes to see how people react. She does retain some social graces when it comes to her elders or people she is supposed to act proper around. This was all due to her upbringing as a future lady of the household.

One thing Kiyoko is, she isn't afraid to be herself. She would rather be tied down to a rock at the bottom of an ocean than be restrained and restricted to certain things. If someone were to ask her to put up a façade, she will become defensive and decline. She doesn't want to feel like a doll, being groomed and told what to do or say. It is something she had to endure while growing up as a child, but now that she is older she doesn't want to feel like that again. She tends to call people nicknames rather than their actually names simply because it is easier for her to remember a nickname and put it to a face rather than their actual name. It is something that she prefers, however; it isn't a constant with her and she will just address them by their last name depending on how much respect she has for the person.

History: Kiyoko does not remember much of her history. She was born and she grew up. That was the only thing her parents ever told her. In reality, Kiyoko is the second child to Kaname and Yuki Kuran. She is the last Heir to the Kuran family, and it is something that she knows...but hasn't quite grasped onto the concept. Unlike her mother, Kiyoko's memories were only partially surpressed as a child. She can recall the faces of her parents, their voices, their love, and the face of her brother. She found it a bit odd that her parents both sported auburn brown hair, yet hers was a brilliant crimson color. There were times where she would often question the authenticity of her heritage, however; the allure of her blood and certain abilities have always calmed this question.

Despite being the daughter of a well-known and influential pure-blood family, she does not sport their family name, instead taking on the surname of her adoptive parents: The Tachibana family. When she was a child, Yuki placed her in the care of the Tachibana family before she and Kaname disappeared. She didn't know where they were going, and as of today, has no clue on their whereabouts or if they are even still alive. The Tachibana family knew of Kiyoko's true heritage and as such, tried to groom her into the perfect child for the family to continue it's existence. As a result, Kiyoko was extremely rebellious and often caused trouble for the family. This put a great strain on her adoptive mother and caused her to become ill from worry. Kiyoko had not meant to cause her adoptive mother such misery and settled down, reluctantly accepting the things she was taught in order to become a sophisticated lady of the Kuran household.

During her stay with the Tachibana family, she often thought about her parents and what happened to them. She was never told of where they were or what was going on, and as such she was often kept in the dark. She didn't understand why, but accepted it nonetheless. As she grew, Kiyoko became interested in the trainings the Tachibana family children often underwent. These trainings were for them to become vampire hunters, and although Kiyoko herself was from a vampire family, she thought it would be interesting to learn at least to defend herself should she ever need to. It became apparent how adapted she was to the life of a hunter than that of a lady when she began to excel in the art of swordsmanship. She had taken a strong liking to the bow, however; because of the distance and reload capacity, she opted for something that wouldn't be as slow and could easily make up for in close-range battles.

By the time she was thirteen, Kiyoko became interested in something more than just a hunters life and a life of a Kuran child. She wanted something more simple. She wanted to know what it was like to live a normal life away from the world of vampires and hunters. It was then that she enrolled into Cross Academy. Instead of taking up the position as prefect, as her adoptive parents had wanted her to, she decided to live the life of a normal student. Although her knowledge of the Night Class and her skills have had a request for her to be a Prefect on more than one occasion, she didn't want to accept the position. She eventually settled into the life style of a normal student and has made friends on both sides of the Classes. She seems to have attracted more friends from the Night Class, however, but she thinks nothing of it. She is currently in her last year in Cross Academy and is excited to see how the school year will end.

"A name does not define what a person is. It is just a pre-established relationship people have in their heads so they don't look to see who a person is."

A gentle breezed fluttered through the grounds of Cross Academy. The air was crisp, the wind cool to the touch, and everything seemed peaceful. It was times like these that Kiyoko cherished the most. It tugged at the corners of her lips as she sat underneath one of the cherry blossom trees. Spring was one of her favorite seasons since the flowers always came out full bloom, and they provided a sense of shade from the rays of the sun. Not to mention it kept the warmth of the day from becoming too intolerable. She glanced down at the bento box in her arms, still wrapped with a green cloth that was just given to her. It wasn't unusual for her to receive bento boxes, more-so it would be unusual if she didn't receive one at least once a week.

Not that she cared much for it, but the ones that always gave them to her were her friends. She didn't want to disappoint them, but she had this feeling in the back of her mind that they only did it so that she would make something for them in return. She chuckled lightly at this thought. All they had to do was ask, she wouldn't deny them food. A light breeze carrying a stray cherry blossom leaf caught her attention as she reached out to grasp it. She watched as it danced in the air, missing the petal by a mere inch before it was carried off to another unknown part of the school. Her hand lingered a bit longer, as if she were still reaching for the petal, however; her eyes were glazed as a memory played in her mind. She could see her parents and her brother. They were sitting underneath a fully bloomed cherry blossom tree enjoying the summer breeze while her brother reached out his own hand to her. There was something flashing behind his carmine brown eyes, but Kiyoko didn't recognize it.

Her family's smiles were bright and inviting and it was something Kiyoko found herself missing. Her mother and father left her in the care of the Tachibana family when she was young. She didn't, and still doesn't, understand why they left. All she knows is that something happened, and they disappeared along with her brother. Shinji, the name rolled so softly from her lips as she dropped her hand to the grass, grasping at it softly before sighing. She stood from her spot, the bento clutched in one hand while the other dusted off a few petals of pink. The classes would be ending soon and the switch from the Day to the Night would be commencing soon. As of late, these transgressions always went smoothly, at least for the prefects. This was what Sakura had been telling her to begin with, so hopefully it was true.

She didn't want unnecessary stress or drama for her friend since Sakura, in Kiyoko's mind, was frail. Much like a twig that could be easily snapped if given under the right pressure. She would often scold the young girl about taking it easier on herself, but it all fell on deaf ears. The girl, no matter how hard Kiyoko tried, always managed to get herself into trouble, but that was one of the reasons why she liked Sakura. Always rising to meet any occasion despite her own body's limitations. A faint smile tugged at her lips as she heard the soft chiming of the school bell. So she had stayed out longer than she should have, nothing that she could do about it now. After all, she was sort of breaking one of the rules to be in class and not skipping. Such a delinquent she chided as she laughed at herself.

It wasn't a problem though, she had that freedom to do as she pleased. Not that she took advantage of it often, but today she didn't want to be in class. Something had pulled her out of her own comfort and she wanted to be away from the chattering students. She wanted to find a place of peace where she could clear her mind. It was plagued as of late, especially when she slept. She couldn't tell if her nightmares were real half of the time and at others, it felt like she had slipped into a day dream of sorts. She couldn't understand half of the nightmares she was having, but they always led to the same thing. Blood. There was always such a large amount of blood that she could have drowned in it. She shook the thought from her mind as the Day Class students already formed at the bridge. She made her way through the crowd, her hair flowing behind her like a "river of fire" someone had once mentioned it to be like. She tugged at a strand subconsciously, intertwining it with her forefinger and thumb.

"Always such a fuss over the Night Class," she muttered to herself as a soft smile played at her lips. She could hear the endless chatter of the other students and the constant laughter of the Day Class students. She'll just wait for Sakura so she could inquire about her health. It was almost like a daily routine and the only reason why she ever visited the bridge when the Night Class came and swapped with the Day Class. She wasn't there for the Night Class, although she would greet some of her friends along the way, but for Sakura. She was a worry wart for the girl, and so, her eyes scanned the vicinity, looking for the mop of golden blonde hair in the process. The girl was so short to begin with that it wouldn't be easy to pick her out of the crowd.

"I have this longing to return to somewhere... to someone... but until I can, this existence of mine is like a sweet nightmare.”

Here it goes again. The transition between the Day and Night. For a certain individual, it was not a simple means of passing time or the replacement of the sun with the moon. If it was only that, there would have been no problems for the young man who had earned although, unconsciously, the title as one of the beauties of Cross Academy. He would have remained here laying in the hay of the stables enjoying his own personal escape. It was peaceful here. No one to disturbed him. Nothing to disrupt the steady beating of his existence. As if, he was meant to flow in the vast expense of the emptiness. Surprisingly, he does not find the odd at all. At the end of that void, he could hear a voice, a presence so familiar, so like him. But then, he must wake up.

Alas, duty calls as he felt a blow of warm breath on his forehead. His eyes of ash green opened like blooming leaves as it reflected the form of a white horse looking down on him. "I know Iris." He softly muttered as he reached for the face of the horse that had particularly taken a liking to him and so did he. Gently stroking Iris' face made the mare leaned more to his touch, this made him smile ever so warmly which is not shown to anyone else. Such a sincere gesture not shrouded of necessity and lies, it was truly a rare thing for someone like him.

"Be a good girl while I'm out." As if to answer with pride, Iris huffed and stamped its hooves on the ground. He nodded in understanding as he released the horse's face and then stood from his position. Stretching his limbs, he looked at the wide open doors and saw the horizon flickering with orange and golden hues. He had skipped his classes earlier since it was a rather boring topic and opted to play hooky here at the stables. It was much better than staying in some cooped up classroom with all those prying eyes especially the girls on his form. Well if he was a bit late for prefect duty, the other one like him could handle things. She should be if not what is her use as a prefect to begin with.

Cleaning himself up from any stray hay in his uniform, Iris even helped by blowing some of the strands away that were sticking on his hair. Once, he was certain that he did not look as disheveled as he usually was. He thanked the mare whom seemed very elated to be of service to him. It was then he exited the stables. This had been his usual routine since his assignment here at the academy. He is very aware about the importance of maintaining the treaty between vampires and humans. This is the main reason this school was created. Hunters such as him were created to be the guardians and watchers between the two worlds. However, he preferred hunting the mad ones than babysitting the elites of the vampires as they call themselves.

Walking through the woods, he took his time. It won't be long before he would be surrounded by stupid crowds with all their ga-ga talk about the Night Class. More than that, he would have to deal with that idiot again. Thinking about it, irritation was already bottling within him as he released a rather long sigh. It would not be his fault if he ever killed that fool of a pure-blood. There was a great possibility that guy was created just to annoy the hell out of him. Well, he was soon thrown out of his own mind when he heard the infuriating screams of the girls and even some of the voice from the male populace. Those vampires were not celebrities and even they were, haven't they gotten tired doing that for years already?

"It's Eon-senpai!"

"Eon-senpai is here!"

"Eon-kun! Eon-Kun!"

"Its prefect Eon!"

"Shiraga-senpai is so cool!"

"Shiraga-san!"

"Is it me or is Shiraga-kun look so hot today?"

Yes. he forgot completely. He has his own shares of screams and incessant clamor about him. Honestly, he does not understand what for. In his opinion, he appears as normal as he could be. Wearing the standard Day Class uniform, he left his jacket and the upper button of his inner shirt opened. It effectively showed a bit of his skin. The necktie was not properly tied and simply hanging loose around his neck. He was not the kind to have a proper and prim appearance after all. On his hair, his infamous goggles hanging loosely that will always be on his person no matter what. There was nothing special about what he looked like. Yet, he had heard many times that he looked dastardly sexy and hot. Even then, it does not make sense at all.

"Shut it and go back to your dorms!" He stated in an irritated tone as his eyes glared at crowd who was silenced by the simple statement. Most of them had a disappointed look but continued to annoy him with their theatrics. For the past years in his attendance in this school, he never once provided these imbeciles any decency of politeness or an amount of patience when it comes to what they do. Still, it is remarkable that they view it as an act of his when in reality, he was contemplating of creating bullet holes in all of them. "For the umpteenth time move or I will ensure that you would chose hell over anything else just to escape my punishment." Those eyes of pale green flickered with threat and serious intent.

It was not hard for the Day Class to know that Eon was not someone to push any further. Even more so, he was the kind of person to be trifled with when he is deadly serious. This is why he is an effective prefect. He does not only garner fear but also a great amount of admiration especially from the females of the school even among the Night Class. The crowd silenced immediately and began to slowly disperse. No one wants to know or even see Eon gets mad. But, there was one being who was also the prefect's greatest admirer and does not fear being the sole receiver of his rage. As if on cue, the Gates of the Moon Dormitory opened and the Night Class who are unknown to the Day Class were vampires revealed themselves.

Eon could feel the hairs at the back of his neck stand. This only happens with that idiot. Just like that, he heard the upbeat voice of the most infuriating individual he had ever met. Without a hesitation, he met that individual with his foot on that person's face.

”There are many doors that can lead to different paths. The ones that matter are those opened with someone.”

Ringing could be heard inside the dark chambers. It was incessant as the melody it brought out did not skip a note. Soon, a reaction much wanted could be seen. The silk sheets slowly rose from the bed resembling an apparition. Still darkness also added to the horrifying illusion as the velvet curtains securely blocked the illumination that nature could provide from entering the room. For a few moments, the scenery remained without a change. It was only dispelled by a click of a tongue followed by an unrefined yawn. Long and slender fingers grabbed onto the sheets and pulled it away with much resentment. Upon doing so, it revealed a surreal beauty with silver blonde locks and mesmerizing pair of blue and gold eyes. Albeit, the eyes were hazed with annoyance accompanied by a tinge of sleepiness. This person was none other than the irrevocable Night Class Leader, Aeron Melanthe.

Placing his right hand over his face, it effectively covered half of it as he closed his eyes. He was not an early riser and had always find himself having a hard time being separated from his oh-so wonderful bed. Without looking, a hand reached for the source of the sound that alerted him to the world of the living. It was an alarm clock which he soon turned off. Silence filled his room once more. He could hear that the other students inside the Moon Dormitory were already up and about as their every movement could be heard by his sensitive ears.

Opening his gold eye which was not covered up by his hand, he glanced at the clock on his nightstand. It was just 10 minutes after 5 in the afternoon. Why did he not assumed morning? The obvious fact, they are the Night Class. Their kind sleep when the sun rises and they wake when the moon claims the sky. How he wanted to sleep more... His bed looked so inviting. Then, there were his fluffy pillow. But, it means he could see him again. That alone was enough to wash away all the sleepiness from him. He removed the hand which covered half of his face and quickly sat up on his bed. The silk covers which hid his frame fell like riveting water and fully revealed his contoured physique.

"I can see him again!"

Happiness and excitement filled his voice. His eyes of heterochromia shimmered with absolute adoration. Aeron finally stood as he made his way to his bathroom to prepare for the night. He was only wearing a pair of black pajama pants without a top. In short, he was half-naked. Actually, he likes sleeping naked saying its more comfortable. Of course, this is something unknown by many. But before entering his bathroom, he went to the small corner of his room where a table and a chair were elegantly placed. On the table, there was a Staunton chess set with some of its pieces already moved. It was not just any chess set as it was one of the 500 sets that were personally signed and numbered by Howard Staunton who designed this particular set. If he could recall correctly, this set was numbered 1. He moved the black rook forward defeating the white knight piece.

"Checkmate!"

A bright smile on his face as he finally entered his bathroom and get himself ready in meeting his special person again. Oh yes, his very important person. After a few minutes, he was out of his room and walking along the hallways. Donning the illustrious uniform of the Night Class, he looked like some kind of prince even more like a beautiful paining coming to life. They seemed to be empty from any residents. Well, he was pretty sure where they were all. Reaching the staircase, he found them all waiting for him at the lobby like some loyal servants for their king. He had become their leader in some form of election which he did not really take part in. Clearly, everyone liked him better than the other guy. Whatever floats their boat as he says.

"Good morning, everybody! Let's all have a pleasant day! Okay?"

Yes, he was definitely unlike any other pure-bloods. There are good-natured ones like him and smile but they still held a degree of elegance and refinement. They were still irreparably distant. However, Aeron never exuded such an aura. Rather, he seems like a normal person that simply blends with everyone. Well, he still stands out due to his looks. It is undeniable especially with his two-colored eyes. More or less, the night class is completely at ease with him as their leader. Although, they do respect his desire to keep their distance and never to touch him so casually until he wanted them to. In any case, he had a bright smile on his face and twinkling eyes that held excitement. It is no secret to them what was the cause of that.

It is safe to say, there would be another unnerving yet entertaining spectacle to be laid before them soon enough. "Come on! Come on!" Some giggled at the exuberant pure-blood. Others sighed with a gentle countenance and most simply smiled sweetly at their leader. Aeron did not mind them seeing him as amusing or funny. He was completely fine with that. More importantly, he was going to see him again. This was enough to put him on the state of nirvana. Nothing was going to get him down. As they all stood before the gates, he could hear the screams of the Day Class for their favorites in the Night Class. But, his ears perked up when the majority of the voices united to say one name. It was like the pure-blood had dog ears sprouting his head on the imagination level.

The gates opened and without further ado, Aeron ran ahead from the night class. Actually, it was like dashing without waiting for any signal lights. His arms wide open ready to embrace the one he wanted to see so much. "Eon!!! My sweet love!!! Yes, his special person was none other than the male prefect, Eonis Shiraga. The man certainly welcomed him with a wonderful kick. This cause the onlookers from the some of the Day Class who were still there and the Night Class looked with surprise. Well, this is a daily occurrence but the antics are getting exaggerated as time passes by. In any case, Eon's foot was firmly implanted in front of his face effectively stopping him from advancing further. His arms still reaching for an embrace. The pure-blood was unrelenting. "Ehon.---sho---mhshed yow---" His incoherent words were all due to Eon's foot pushing him further away.

“It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.”

Another day, another hour, another minuet, another second, another day. It was just another day. Sakura walked silently down the side walk, the beating down onto the small girl as the crisp air filled her lungs. As she walked, she held a of measure authority over the other students out and about. She walked with meaning and a rather aggravated look set in her eyes. The reason why? Because it was her least favorite time of the day, and the Day Class were already getting on her nerves. Kura had a job she had to go and get done, as a Prefect of Cross Academy, it was her job to keep the Day Class away from the Night Class as they exchanged place's within the school, the Night Class Students leaving their dorms and going to classes while the Day Class Students were leaving classes and going to their dorms.

In all honesty, Kura wasn't sure why the Headmaster didn't set the curfew for the Day Class to an earlier time, it would save the other Prefect, Eonis Shiraga, and herself, much trouble. Of course not through, the Headmaster felt that the two classes should interact at least at some point in the day, so why not between classes and curfew? She sighed aloud as she neared the crowds of Day Class Students, swarming around the Moon Dorm gates as a bell went off. Different names were being shouted, however they were all names that belonged to Night Class Students...all but one name.

"It's Eon-senpai!"

"Eon-senpai is here!"

"Eon-kun! Eon-Kun!"

"Its prefect Eon!"

"Shiraga-senpai is so cool!"

"Shiraga-san!"

"Is it me or is Shiraga-kun look so hot today?"

Sakura's eye twitched as she suppressed a laugh. The screams of pure glee were the only way Sakura knew Eonis-sama was here. Ignoring the glee she got from the fact that Eonis had most likely unwanted fans screaming his name, she made her way to the front of the crowd and stood with her back to the gates. "Okay, that's enough! Everyone move aside and line up in an orderly fashion so the Night Class can pass!" Her voice carried out through the crowd that was momentary silenced before they all started arguing at once.

"Why should we listen to you?!"

"Just because your a Perfect doesn't mean you can tell us what to do!"

"Why would I listen to someone shorter than me!"

"You just want the Night Class all to yourself!!!"

"Make us shorty!"

Sakura's eye twitched as her fist's clenched. For a moment she had to turn her back on the crowd, she didn't need to start any fights now, it would only get her in trouble with the Headmaster and Kyo. She took a deep, settling breath, before spinning around and glaring at the crowd. "I said...move!" her eyes darkened as her voice got louder. "Now. She hissed making nearly all of the students before her flinch. Because she could scare them further, Eon stepped in.
"Shut it and go back to your dorms!" His tone screamed irritated as everyone shut up at once and stared. Sakura glanced over her shoulder with an unhappy pout set on her face. Why did they listen to him? It was because he was taller than her, wasn't it. "For the umpteenth time move or I will ensure that you would chose hell over anything else just to escape my punishment." His voice was low yet clear as his pale green eyes showed the threat clearly.

Slowly a grin broke out onto Kura's face as she gazed at her fellow Prefect, sometimes she wondered if he was as violent as she was, at the same time, she didn't really want to find out. Sakura had the feeling that if she tired to fight him, she would be biting off more then she could handle. Just then, another bell rang, and the Moon Dorm gates slowly opened, reveling the Night Class in all their glory. Suddenly one of the Night Class came running out, his arms out stretched and ready for an embrace. Sakura raised an eyebrow as none other than Aeron Melanthe jumped towards Eon. "Eon!!! My sweet love!!!" He shouted while jumping towards the other boy. Slowly her grin expanded and she made her way over to Eon and Aeron, who had just gotten kicked by Eon.

Kura watched for a moment purely amused with the scene in front of her, before she allowed her grin to fall into a straight line and her eyes to wander over to the other Night Class Students. Her eyes narrowed half an inch as she watched them all closely. They were all here because they said that they wanted to make peace with Humans, because they wanted to keep the peace with the humans. But none of them were to be trusted completely.

Vampires.

Creatures of the night who feed from the blood of humans, monsters who kill without thinking, being who only care for self gain. Each of them were here for their own reasons, and each of them posed a threat to all of the Humans at this school that Sakura had swore to protect with her life. Even Kyo, the Vampire who had nearly raised her, posed a threat to them all, to be fair through, he had told her not to ever trust everyone, not even him. She was always on her guard, perhaps that is why Sakura hated this time of the day, because she had to interact with all of them, because she had to tense up and mentally per pair herself for the worst. She stepped aside to stand beside Eon so the Night Class could pass between the two lines of Day Class Students on either side of them.

Kura turned her gold gaze from the Night Class to the two boys beside her. With a gentle hand she reached out and tapped the knee on Eon's raised leg, however she said nothing to him, instead she addressed Aeron. "Aeron-san, you should go ahead with your class." Her voice was distant as she spoke. Sh yes, that's why she hates this time of day, being around them brought back memoirs of that night. She held nothing against all of the Night class, she she should have such a cold gaze directed to any of them, but she couldn't help it. If only she could talk to Kiyo about it. Blinking her eyes back into focus she offered a small smile to Aeron. "You're teacher would be rather irked if you were to be late, right? Well..if he's not late himself, that is." Sakura chuckled to herself because it was true, the teacher for the Night Class had no concept of time, she knew because she often ran into him when he was late and she was making her rounds.

"Truly these people are something entertaining. But then, I wouldn't want it any other way."

"Not only the Night Class, but our prefect as well," Kiyoko muttered to herself as she chuckled at the sudden clamor for the male prefect. She shook her head at their antics and only laughed when he harshly dismissed them. She would have thought by now they would have given up on the male, but apparently, as one student stated, it added to his charm. Whatever the reason, Kiyoko only chuckled as the students dispersed with a few still managing to stay around. She finally managed to spot the shrimp of a girl. Not that she'd ever mention it in front of Sakura unless she had an inkling for pain...which she didn't. But the girl was just so...short? Before she could make her way towards the female prefect, a shriek and a loud call captured her attention.

It was the one she dubbed Hare, the pure-blood leader of the Night Class. She smiled fondly at the scene, even though Eonis' foot was currently in Hare's face. She brought her hand up to her mouth as she kept herself from laughing more. She shook her head before continuing her way towards Sakura. She noticed one of the Night Class students making their way towards her friend, and the intention behind their eyes only served for Kiyoko to walk a little faster. Before the Night Class student could lay a hand on her friend, Kiyoko's own hand snatched the perpetrator's wrist in a gentle, yet firm grip. A smile lingered on her lips as the vampire turned to meet her blue gaze.

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't sneak up on my friends like that. Plus, you shouldn't be lingering out longer than what is necessary so you need to return to class," she stated in a gentle tone. She wasn't reprimanding the vampire, merely just protecting her friend. She knew that look in their eyes and it wasn't uncommon for a vampire to try and be sneaky about trying to get Sakura. The vampire merely laughed nervously before walking off with another group. Kiyoko sighed as she smiled at her friend. She seemed to be okay for the most part so she sighed a breath of relief. Sakura was currently conversing with the male prefect and the white-haired vampire. She waited patiently for Sakura to finish her conversation before offering the girl a smile.

"Shiraga-san, Melanthe-san," Kiyoko greeted before turning her attention to the small girl in front. "Besides, Kura-chan, I believe Shiraga-san can handle Melanthe-san. They are good friends...I think," she stated the last sentence in a hushed whisper. From the interactions the two had, she could only assume that the two were close. If they weren't, well...then she'd just leave it at that. After all, sometimes even though someone might appear close to each other, they might in reality despise each other. Not that Kiyoko would care either way, it wasn't her business to know either or. Regardless, she offered the two males a small smile before grabbing Sakura's arm with her own.

"Kura-chan! Will you escort me back to my room? Ichigawa-san is being a bit creepier than usual," she asked as she laughed nervously. Ichigawa was one of the Day Class students who often clung to Kiyoko. Why? She could never understand the girl. Although she was fond of the girl, Ichigawa could be a bit...odd. She rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly, momentarily forgetting the presence of the prefect and pure-blood. "Eh, oh but don't worry everything is good," she quickly stated, waving her hands in front of her face as she sighed in defeat. With that said and done, she hooked her arm with Sakura's, despite their obvious height difference. Off in the distance, a gentle howl could be heard, causing Kiyoko to turn her attention towards the source.

It had to be him, the only wolf she knew that lived in the back forest of the Academy. She found it odd that such a creature made it's home so close to the Academy, and even more so when the Headmaster seemed completely fine with it. He had mentioned something about being close to nature and some other nonsensical nonsense. This brought a warm smile to her lips as a voice entered her thoughts, piercing the veil of her reality. She knew this voice, it belonged to someone important to her. She couldn't make out the words, or what they were trying to say, but the way it sounded...she liked the feeling of warmth it brought to her. Snapping out of her reverie, she blinked owlishly before shaking her head. "Sorry Kura-chan, I lost my train of thoughts. Shall we?" she stated as she offered Sakura a grin.

"Is it possible to kill someone from annoyance? May be, it is because I'm about to do that.”

There was no point understanding what this idiotic pure-blood was saying. He really did not want to know either way. Why is this good-for-nothing idiot all clingy to him all the time? He could not remember for the love of god anything that could provoke such an annoying attachment. At this very moment, he was preventing himself from the itch of taking out either Bloody Rose or Godhand from their holsters and pumping this two-eyed vampire with lead. Perhaps, it would be more amusing for all of them if he does that. Despite his obvious rejection, the idiot was still relentless pushing on forward.

He could feel the vein on his forehead already throbbing in irritation. The Night Class just stood by watching the spectacle. They were not going to intervene as this event had become much to his dislike a daily occurrence. "Don't you dare touch me. You gay-limbo." Eon stated with an icy cold tone along accompanied by a terrifying glare from those ash green eyes of his. He had told this pure-blood many times with various rejection methods. But, this idiot had the tenacity of a cockroach. There is no way he would consider that as a redeeming quality. Why can't he be like the other one or most of his kind? They all stay hell out of his way.

"I will pump you with lead if you don't stop being disgusting! And don't call me your love! Hell no!" To emphasize this, he further put more force to his foot which was implanted to the pure-blood's face. It was like he was going to put a hole on that ugly mug of this idiot. However, it was then the other prefect intervened. He had barely noticed the short stuff. Not because of her height, it was more of a presence. She had a weak life force, so, she was almost off a tangent in his radar. Although, she could use that to her advantage. In any case, a hand tapped his knee. It meant she want his foot to be removed. He will oblige for if he had any part of his body attached to this mongrel of a vampire, there was a possibility of him being infected with stupidity.

"All yours." Eon noted to Ito as he simply dislodged his foot from the pure-blood's face by kicking him away. It should have brought that moron some distance between them. That was then another student of the Day class approached them with that red hair. It was hard not to notice with all of the light colors of spring and the darkening skies. The red just pops out unconsciously. If he remembered this girl was a friend of Ito's, well not much of a sense to him and not his matter to deal with. But a greeting was only proper to be given back. In his terms of a reply, he simply gave a nod of his head. It would have been better if the girl just stick to the greetings. He heard it. The dreadful word especially relating him to that heterochromic buffoon.

"Oi." Eon called out as he stepped forward and leaned terribly closed enough to Kiyoko. "Don't ever call me or this moron as friends." Those eyes that displayed ash green seemed to reflect a mysterious hue of blue. A mystery or a trick of his eyes but, it was one of his so-called alluring traits as others had described it. In any case, his eyes did not show humor but an intensity of seriousness. There was no way he would ever considered that stupid vampire as a friend. For that matter, no one will be his friend in this lifetime. He had no need for such things. They were all hindrances in one form or another. It was then he turned his back from them and went on his way.

"I'll handle patrol." That is what Eon simply said towards the other prefect as he headed towards the woods. But not before glaring at the still remaining Day class students, "Go back to your dorm! Hell, I'll slaughter you." This was enough for the rest to run for cover and to leave without prompting the male prefect for further irritation. He then looked over his shoulder to look at the idiotic pure-blood who might be following him. "Tell that moron to stay the hell away from me! Get to your classes already Night Class or I will exercise my authority as a prefect." With that said, he then departed from the scene. He did not want to bother with irritating trivialities as conversation and connections. All he needed is a goal and a mission. Nothing else matters plus it never gets too complicated for his liking.

”This pain is fleeting and harmless to me.Because it only means, I can touch this person again.”

Cruel. Violent. Downright rude. All of these descriptions have one thing in common. This is how Eon treats him. It might be viewed as unfitting for someone like him. After all, he is a pure-blood and the leader of the infamous Night Class. However, he does not mind the treatment which the male prefect showers him every day. It would not be too much for anyone to assume that he seemed to enjoy such reactions to his presence. He must be a masochist which is a noted by many. This made him a focal figure in terms of eccentricities. They were not just aware that the feeling of being able to touch someone without the fear of erasing that existence was liberating for the pure-blood. In a way, he was simply enjoying this moment where he can freely experience everything. Unfortunately for Eon, he was the only who can provide such a desire.

"Don't you dare touch me. You gay-limbo."

There it was the usual cold tone that could freeze the entirety of the Pacific ocean and the label which had gained from the prefect. Those eyes of pale green held such intense feeling of anger towards him. It made the pure-blood flinch unconsciously. For the first time, he was truly fearful of this person. It was not because of what the prefect was capable of doing. The thing he feared the most was being hated completely. The sudden lost of a person who was free from his cursed ability. He did not want to be alone anymore. He did not want to be hated by Eon but at the same time, he did not want to stop from touching the male prefect. This was his only reprieve. His only source of light and hope. Would it be terrible to make every moment of his life to this small and almost unnoticeable fragment in the wide world?

"I will pump you with lead if you don't stop being disgusting! And don't call me your love! Hell no!"

He did not doubt Eon's ability to fill his body with lead. The prefect could certainly do that with his special weapons forged for that single purpose, to kill him, and to kill his kind. He does not bare any kind of resentment towards it. This was a means to place humans in equal footing with them in a sense they can be eradicated if push comes to shove. Speaking of which, he could feel the intensity of Eon's foot trying to put a hole on his face. The prefect was certainly not pleased at all. But, he loves Eon. So, is it not proper to call someone like that as his love? He read that somewhere in a book. Oh, the simplicity of his understanding of social interactions even with the experience he had accrued. He was still an infant when it comes to his own feelings not placed in a fake identity.

In the name of heavens, the foot was removed from his face. However, he was kicked as he was thrown a couple of meters far from Eon. As for him, he had landed on his bum as the other Night Class inquired about his health. It is true that this had become much a normal thing, but the vampires still were agitated by the fact that the male prefect treated their leader like trash. These kind of things are certainly unacceptable. Anyway, the pure-blood was quick to recover as he stood up and wailed like a child. "Eon! Eon! Eon! How could you? Is it not normal for one to embrace someone you missed greatly? I missed you!" One of the pure-blood's redeeming quality, resilience.

But before he could lunge once more to Eon, something or rather someone called his attention and blocked his way. Looking down, he saw the other prefect, the girl one. She told him to go to his classes and all. Well, it was reasonable enough as it was almost time for the curfew to start. Then again, his teacher was late most of the time as the girl reminded him. The normal reaction would be for anyone to stay longer. After all, it was the prefect who already stated that their teacher was tardy and all of that. So, there was no use in being early. What an odd girl. Then, another female arrived with the hair of red which he likes.

As it is customary, he was greeted by the red-haired girl. He answered with a bright smile. "Hello!" However, that smile widened even more when his ears took the word friends. It made his day into a dazzling one. "You think so? I am so happy to be friends with Eon! So happy!" Those two-toned eyes of his glittered with such ardor as he looked at the male prefect. But, Eon was clearly against it judging by the prefect's reaction alone. It made the pure-blood pout like an adorable child. "Eon! Eon!" He called out in such longing and obvious desperation. Eon was walking away leaving him alone. He has yet to touch him when the prefect stopped midway.

Being told to stay way from him, it was impossible. Eon was everything to him. The prefect was his first in everything. Taking a deep breath, he looked at the two girls with a simple salute and then looked at the Night Class. "Go to class, everyone! See you later! Wish me luck too!" He waved so energetically at them and then ran after the prefect who had decided to leave them all. The Night Class looked at one another and released a large sigh. They were certain they could hear screams and few things being broken in the distance soon enough. As for him, he soon finally reached Eon and embraced him from behind. Finally, he was able to hold the elusive prefect.

While with the Night Class, they began to count together to 5. As they expected, the scream of their leader echoed through the woods. Just like that, they shook their head and some even laughed. This was the daily routine. It was much a normal day at Cross Academy or is it now?

“Man cries, but soon his tears dry up and run out. So he becomes a devil, reduced to a monster. Is this the kind of world we live in now?"

Sakura smiled fondly at Kiyoko as she appeared beside her, Kura hadn't even noticed that her friend had dismissed a wandering Night Class Student. How troublesome, Kiyo could have been hurt because Kura hadn't been paying attention. A frown formed on her face at the very idea before turning back towards Eon and Aeron. Eon had listened to Kura's silent request and lowered his leg, but not before kicking Aeron away from him. Kura wanted to roll her eyes at the two boys, they were acting like school children. She nearly wanted to laugh at the two, however her mood changed dramatically when Eon drew close to Kiyo's face and nearly yelled at her for calling himself and Aeron friends. Her hand twitched to where her Anti-Vampire was being hidden, and she reached out, ready to grab his shoulder and pull him back, but he removed himself before she had the chase, so she allowed her hand to fall to her side.

He told her that he wound handle patrol before yelling at the Day Class and Night Class alike as he walked away. She sighed before turning towards Kiyoko and Aeron, Kiyo requesting that he be escorted to her dorm and Aeron saying farewell before running after Eon. Kura's eye widened and she reached out to grab him but he was already gone. "H-hey Aeron-san!! Don't follow Eonis-sama!! Baka!!" She shouted after the Pure-blood while pulling on the hold that Kiyo had on her arm. "Aeron-san! ugh...Kiyo-chan come on, I have to stop that baka from getting himself killed." She hissed, pulling her best friend by the arm as she stomped after the two boys. After five seconds screams filled the air, but Sakura quickly intervened once the two boys were in sight. She reached out and grabbed the back of Aeron's shirt and jacket, pulling him backwards and tossing him over towards Kiyo. "Eonis-sama I'll escort them to their intended destinations and then come back for portal." She offered a small smile before turning around and grabbing both of them, Kiyo by the wrist and Aeron by the ear.

"Aeron-san...Why do you bother Eonis-sama so much?" She sighed and shook her head at the much taller boy, who she was dragging behind her. That must be what it's like to have a bond with someone... She glanced over at Kiyo and frowned slightly before turning back towards Aeron. Eonis-sama is who Aeron-san considers to be his first true love, I wonder if it's upsetting when Eonis-sama acts so rudely... Sakura stopped and released Aeron's ear. "Tomorrow, instead of trying to hug him, just walk up to him and try to start a normal conversation. If you don't scream like one of his fan-girls, he might actually talk with you." She smiled up at Aeron before nodding towards the Night Class that were now walking away, the only person that waited Kyo.

"Aeron-san, can you go to class without me having to escort you back? If you get there in time I'll send Eonis-sama to portal that part of the school when all of your classes end." She gave him a mischievous grin at the idea of tricking Eonis-sama into seeing Aeron, in some ways she was bribing the Vampire into going to class, but it wasn't a horrible idea, and it was better than having to listen to his screaming as Eon beat him up. "I have to take Kiyo-chan to her dorm before anyone else see's her out and about after curfew." She turned her eyes towards the forest,it was an innocent glance, but because of it she saw the Night Class teacher entering the tree line and disappearing into the darkness. Wait...why would he be going in there..? Didn't I see.... Her eyes narrowed a fraction of an inch as her mind ran a mile a minute before turning back to Aeron and Kiyo. "Aeron-san, go to class please, and wait for the Headmaster. Kiyo-chan, go with Kyo, he'll take you to your dorm." She stated this plainly before sending a calculated look at Kyo, who, understanding what she had just realized, nodded his head and moved up to stand beside Kiyo. "Go take care of it, I'll inform the Headmaster...and Sakura...do not leave a mess." He stated this in a cold and plain voice before taking Kiyo's wrist and pulling her away.

Sakura nodded and took off in a mad dash towards the tree line, her Anti-Vampire sword already in hand. So that's why he is always late, how could I have never noticed before? He must do it outside of our portal so he doesn't get caught, that means it's been going on for a long while, I never thought about how some of the Day Class take the short up through the woods...damn it. She clenched her teeth and picked up her speed. If anyone of those Day Class students had any fang marks, she would turn that teacher to dust, even if it were the last ting she did.

"To surround yourself with those whom you love and love you, is that such a bad thing? No, but remember that I will protect you no matter what; even if I have to break that promise."

Kiyoko narrowed her eyes at the male prefect as he called out to her, standing a little too close for her comfort. She didn't move though, keeping her own cobalt blue gaze on his own ash green. So the two weren't friends, didn't mean he had to be a jerk about it. Her gaze never faltered under his until he backed away, stating that he would cover patrols and for the Melanthe pure-blood to stay away from him. She snickered after the prefect and the Melanthe pure-bloods reaction. Even if the prefect didn't want to acknowledge it, it was obvious enough that the pure-blood held the boy in such light. She blinked at Melanthe's statement and offered him a warm smile.

"Of course I do Hare-san. Shiraga-san and you seem to be great friends," she stated, encouraging the friendship between the two. She partially did it because she knew it would annoy the male prefect, and she partially did it for her own satisfaction. Before she could say anything else, Aeron took off after Eonis and Kiyoko could only chuckle, however; she soon found herself being pulled by Sakura after the pure-blood. "Eh, Sakura-chan wait!" she called out as she continued to be dragged behind the shorter girl. Despite the height difference, Sakura still seemed to house a decent amount of strength to be able to pull Kiyoko along with her. She merely chuckled as her muscles relaxed, allowing herself to be chauffered by the shorter girl.

It was then that Kiyoko found herself in the presence of the male prefect and the pure-blood once more, however; the sight to behold them was rather incredulous. It caused her to chuckle at the scene before Sakura began to talk. She then grabbed Aeron's shirt and pulled him away from the male prefect and towards Kiyoko. She merely allowed the boy to fall where he was tossed. She couldn't risk touching him. Oh yes, she knew about the pure-bloods preferences when it came to things such as physical contact. Some of the night class students had mentioned it to her not that long ago so it was something she respected. And she wasn't one to disrespect someone's wishes. Why he didn't like being touched (Eonis was the only exception apparently) wasn't for her to ask. If he wanted to divulge such information, he would. As such, she spotted Sakura going for the pure-blood's ear and made a reach for the girl's hand.

"Ah, Sakura-chan, I don't believe Hare-san like's being touched," she stated as she placed her hand in place of Aeron's ear. Whether the girl heard her or not, she was now pulling Kiyoko by both of her hands. She didn't know her hand could feel like an ear to the female prefect, but she dismissed the thought. Sakura was her friend after all. Sakura released Kiyoko's wrist and Aeron's ear as she spoke about how to approach the male prefect next time. Kiyoko merely tried to keep a straight face. She didn't want to laugh at her friend as she was trying hard for the pure-bloods sake. When Sakura finished, something captured her attention, directing it to the forest in which Kiyoko could only follow Sakura's gaze. She spotted one of the night class teachers, one she'd recognized due to the many patrols she had accompanied Sakura on, much to the shorter girl's chagrin.

She didn't want anything to happen to the short girl, and besides, she came from a hunter family so she could protect herself if she needed to. She was brought out of her reverie when Sakura mentioned something about the male vampire known as Kyo (how odd they shared the same name and nickname) taking Kiyoko back to her dorm. She felt her wrist being gripped in a firm grasp, however; she twisted it slightly and managed to break from his grasp. She smiled at the vampire before giving an apologetic bow. Returning to her full height, she then scratched at her cheek nervously.

"Sorry Kyo-kun, but I can make it back on my own," she stated as she began to walk away, but stopped and cast a glance over her shoulder. She had this feeling in the bottom of her stomach that tonight wasn't going to end well for her friend, so she'd have to check up on her. As soon as she was out of Kyo's sight, she took off in the direction she had seen Sakura go and silently made her way through the forests' thick brush. She didn't seem to mind the few tugs at her school uniform as she finally reached Sakura. She kept her distance, keeping her blue gaze on the small prefect.

She might not have accepted the position as a prefect, and she might not have shown an ability to hold her own, but regardless, Kiyoko was not one to take threats lightly, especially towards those she cared about. Sakura was her friend, someone she wanted, no, needed to watch out for. Not only because of her illness, but because of Kiyoko's own selfish desire to keep the girl safe. Maybe it was in her blood? Whatever the reason, she took in soft, hushed breaths waiting for the vampire to make his first move. She would be ready to step in should it be required of her. Her attention was momentarily shifted from the golden brown haired girl as something soft rubbed against her arm. She glanced down, noticing the familiar presence of the one she called Shiranui: the white wolf of Cross Academy's forest. The deep rumbling of his voice could be felt even through his thick fur as his golden eyes peered up at Kiyoko.

"Are you here to help me keep an eye on her too?" she stated in a hushed whisper, rubbing the wolf behind his ear, eliciting a purring sound from the canine. Kiyoko had to bite her tongue to not laugh. Since when did canine's know how to purr? Only felines could do that. She continued to rub the wolf's ear as she kept her cobalt gaze on Sakura.

"This is the proof I have done something wrong in my past life. I got this vampire on my tail."

He knew that for a long time that the pure-blood was an idiot. This time it was official. The pure-blood does not know when to quit bothering him. Did he not just said to leave him the hell alone? Now, the idiot was able to sneak up on him and even embraced him from behind. Those slithery hands of the stupid vampire wrapped around his torso and he could feel the pure-blood's head being pressed on his back. If he was not even hearing things, there were a few moans of pleasure as the vampire rubbed against him. There was nothing enjoyable about this. Better yet, he could feel the hairs at the back of his neck stand. There was also the feeling of disgust covering his entire body. This was far enough.

"Get off!" Eon declared in anger as he grabbed hold of the pure-blood's arm and threw Aeron overhead with such strength. The ground appeared to have developed cracking patterns to signify this. Soon, the pure-blood was at ground on his back as the prefect loomed over him menacingly. Those eyes of ash green now seemed to look like ice blue from this angle. They were filled with animosity and to prove a point. Bloody Rose was drawn without hesitation. It was pointed at the pure-blood's face. "I have enough of your idiocy." Then, he fired a shot which reverberated throughout the woods where the birds flew in surprise and fear. Unfortunately for the prefect, the pure-blood seemed to have dodge it as the bullet landed on the dirt just a mere inch away from the idiot's head. Apparently, the stupid screamed in surprise and a bit of fear.

"Tch." Clicking his tongue, Eon proceeded to grab the pure-blood by the collar and was about to punch him into a bloody pulp when the idiot was taken from his grasp. This caused slight surprise on the male prefect but not long before, he heard Ito's voice. Looking down, he saw the other prefect who was able to pull the pure-blood by simple strength. Perhaps, this girl was not as sick as she believes she is. It even crossed his mind that Ito was just faking it for attention. Whatever it is, he really does not care. She was going to get rid of his annoyance then everything was right in his world by her. "Handle that idiot." He simply stated with annoyance probably due to the pure-blood as he returned Bloody Rose to its holster.

After doing so, he turned is back at them as he headed for the opposite direction. He did say that the woods would be his area of patrol which meant that Ito will cover the main grounds. Last time, he did it and there was no other way to describe it. He destroyed a lot of things due to the foolish pure-blood's over-excitement of seeing him. Why did that vampire fancied him? He does not know and is unwilling to know it. There are certain facts in this world that would be better off as a secret and part of the unknown.

Releasing a sigh, Eon continued walking. Normally, this area is free from any mischievous events. But there are rare cases, some of the Day Class students would use the woods as a perfect cover of sneaking around. The very fact that this place is perfect for doing forbidden matters covered by the thick foliage of the woods, it had become a priority of the prefects to ensure that nothing astray is happening around here. In addition, it provided him a proper reason to stay away from the Main Building. He could avoid the idiotic pure-blood which was technically a good day for him. Actually, he had discussed this with the Headmaster. But the old fart just told him that this would be a great opportunity for him. What opportunity?

There was nothing else but pure annoyance on his part. He was even ready to desecrate his oath as a prefect and even as a hunter just to eliminate that pure-blood. His patience has its limit and it was not as long as others have. It would be much better for him to be out on the field than to be cooped up here at the academy. This is not because he liked killing for he avoid sit as much as possible. It is the main reason why the Melanthe pure-blood was still alive and only suffered physical injuries a vampire could handle. In the end, he can think about killing, elimination, and erasure. But when it comes to it, he always never comes through unless in regards with mad vampires.

In any case, he had been left to his own devices without any kind of interruptions. This is why he liked doing things by himself. There was less hassles and no one to be bothered with. In addition, he is used to this kind of lifestyle. It was more odd for him to be surrounded by people or even be admired by them. He finds that very peculiar and rather troublesome in more ways than one. But, this is his mission. So, he has to do it one way or another. While he was thinking about such matters, he then sensed something unsettling in the air. His head snapped towards the direction where he could feel the greatest sense of distortion.

Soon enough, he found himself sprinting through the woods. He effectively dodged some of the shrubbery along the way. It was getting stronger that sense of foreboding. He must be getting close to the source of it. There was no assurance that this may be just a false alarm. He truly hoped it was if not, he would be forced to act. Pulling Godhand out of its holster, he readied himself for all eventualities. Then after a few twists and turns, he finally had finally arrived.

”May I ask one small favor from you,can you a keep a secret from me to you?”

There is a saying that no pain, no gain. He had always believed in that. Now, he was an adamant follower of that. Why? The prime example would be his unclear relationship with the male prefect, Eon Shiraga. Even when he tries to get closer to the boy, it would only cause apprehension and violence which is usually directed to him. Just like now. One moment. he was in bliss from finally touching the only being that would never fade. Eon's warmth was very comforting that he could not help but rubbed his face on the boy's back. It is only with this male prefect that could he understand the meaning of existence through substance and touch.

In the past, he would always be around people. Always in a crowd, yet he felt detached and untouched by the world around him. No one can touch him without grave consequences. It was like being a specter, a ghost, that no one can see. No one can hold. No one can truly believe that exists. He had been used to that kind of life until, Eon came into the picture. His reality shattered with just the slightest touch. A new series of possibilities was presented before his eyes. He should feel wary and completely fearful. But instead, he felt that he had been finally allowed something to have. So, there is no way he could just let go of that.

However, Eon proved to be a very difficult person to deal with. Because now, he found himself with his back on the ground. Looming above him, the male prefect was certainly pissed. Oh. no one had to inform him that his actions were greatly disliked by the boy. Well, it seemed that his very presence irritates the prefect. To prove this, the infamous Bloody Rose was pointed at him in a point-blank range. Wait, is he seriously going to kill him? It seemed he had finally made Eon cross the line. Luckily, he moved his head to the side which averted being hit but the ground near his head was smoking. It had received the shot meant for him. He could still feel the sting of resistance when the bullet passed his cheek with just a few centimeters away.

Inadvertently, he released a scream in surprise and with fear as well. Come one, he was almost killed which meant he would not be with Eon. Yes, it was his greatest concern. Seeing disappointment in the prefect's eyes that he did not become a pile of ash, he was lifted by the collar. It was clear he was going to be a punching bag which he had become for quite some time. But before a punch could connect with his skin, he felt himself being pulled away. Oh, he wondered who had such a strength to do that. Then, his question was answered when he fell back to the ground, landing on his bum.

The perpetrator was the female prefect. So, she was quite strong despite her short stature. Very weird. But, he did not think about that for long. For his attention shifted to the conversations being exchanged, he was going to be escorted by the little girl than by Eon. He did not want that and not because of something personal. It's just that he wanted Eon. Pouting much a like spoiled child who didn't get a birthday cake, he saw a hand approaching his ear. This caused red lights going on in his head as he was about to back away and tell the person to not touch him.

Good for him, another person stepped in. Oh, he did not noticed the red-haired Kiyoko. Well, he does not notice everything especially when Eon is around. Anyway, Kiyoko informed Sakura that he did not liked to be touched. He found it odd that she knew that preference of his. Thinking about it, the Night Class students seemed friendly with the red-haired girl. May be, they were the ones who told her. The odd thing, the female prefect seemed completely deaf to that and unaware as she walked on holding onto Kiyoko. Sakura seemed to believe that he was also being dragged along. It was one of the duh moments in life apparently.

Soon, the two girls vanished from his line of sight. But, he could still hear some of the conversation from the female prefect as if talking to him. The girl was either completely oblivious, stupid, or a comedian. In any case, he has no right to say that for he is like that when he is around Eon. Standing from his position now alone, he dusted his white uniform that were now stained by dirt and some leaves. There was not much he could do at this point. Removing his jacket, he threw it over his shoulder as smudges where everywhere. He then released a long sigh as he looked at the direction where Eon had disappeared into. Aeron wanted to follow the male prefect but he knew when enough was enough. There was no other choice but to return to his classes. The joy of classes.

It is not like he did not want to attend. Just that, he was not in the mood anymore. Releasing another long sigh, he contemplated the fact of skipping classes. He could just stay at the infirmary or return to the dormitory. But what kind of leader is he if he did that? In the end, he decided to go. It is not like he would be late because as the other prefect stated. The teacher was always late so, he walked at leisurely pace. But then, he noticed the said teacher walking passed him a 40 meters ahead of him. His sense of sight was capable of doing that and soon was followed by the short girl. Then, there was the red-hair trailing behind. Closing his eyes, it seemed his teacher would be late for their classes once more. If that was so, then there would be no choice by to fire the guy. Oh yes, fire the guy.

“When you have someone you hold dear to your heart, protect them with your life."

Sakura caught up to the teacher after what seemed like a life time. He stood in a small clearing with two of the Night Class Students, seemingly just talking, but she could feel his evil intent rolling off in waves. She ducked down into the bushes as the scene unfolded before her very eyes. The students laughed at something the teacher had said before they turned to leave, he moved forward, his nails forming into claws as the students turned their backs to him, but he had no intent on allowing them leave. So this is why he had been late so often, the bastard. Sakura all but flew from her hiding place, her sword pressed to the neck of his neck as her eyes narrowed. "Don't make a sound, just wait for them to leave." She hissed through clenched teeth. The older man tensed his body and turned his head ever so slightly to look at her. They stood like that for a good five minuets before they both seemed to jump into action at the same time. He spun around and swung his hand at her slicing into her cheek as she jumped backwards and held her sword in, ready for the next attack. "This Academy isn't the right place for monsters like you, if you try and fight me further, I will not hesitate to end your life." Kura's rage rolled off of her in waves, she couldn't believe he would try to feed off of his own students, the very thought made her blood boil.

Kiyoko watched the events unfold as Sakura flew to the man. She felt her breath hitch in her throat as Sakura placed the sword to the teachers throat. Shiranui stared with bored eyes, a yawn escaping his throat as he shifted his gaze to Kiyoko. He could see the worry playing throughout her eyes as Sakura suddenly jumped with the man. She felt her hand twitch as she continued to watch the events unfold. She wouldn't give up her spot, not yet. She knew Sakura could handle things from here, but should her services be required, Kiyoko wouldn't hesitate to act. Shiranui, on the other hand, mentally sighed, watching the play between the human and vampire. It was interesting to say the least, but he was growing tired of it. With a final glance at Kiyoko, Shiranui left her side, not before nudging it to signal his departure.

"Be quiet Nui. I shall see you," she stated in a hushed whisper as the wolf disappeared from sight. She sighed and then returned her attention to Sakura. With every movement the two made, Kiyoko could feel the air escaping her lungs. Sakura was going to over excerpt herself and this was causing Kiyoko a great deal of worry. Her body wouldn't last much longer in this prolonged fight. There was a great chance that Sakura would end up killing herself if this continued further. She needed to do something. And then, she saw it. The Teacher lunged at Sakura while the girl was down. Without much of a thought, Kiyoko felt her body fly through the air, forcing herself to stand in between Sakura and the teacher.

"Sakura!" she shouted as the teacher pierced through her stomach. She could feel his claws miss her vital organs and as such, she would be fine. But the shock through her body caused a pool of blood to spit from her mouth. A smile placed itself on her lips as she grasped onto the vampire's arm, holding it in a grasp with such strength she hadn't known she possessed. Of course, she could feel the fatigue settling in as the loss of such a large amount of blood was causing her vision to blurry. Figuring out the fatigue, the teacher used this momentum to pull his arm out of her grasp and stomach. The lure, the scent, she could see the blood lust in his eyes as she fell to her knee's. A light chuckle escaped her lips as she turned to Sakura.

"I...told...you...to...be...care...ful," she stated through labored breaths before smiling at the girl. She clutched her stomach as the pain finally registered in her mind. She winced before her world seemingly went black.

Sakura's body was growing tired and weaker, she couldn't fight for as long as she should be able to, but she had used up so much strength eariler while messing with the others, now it was all taking it's toll on her. Each attack the teacher sent at her, she blocked easily, but he could see her body growing weaker, see the life fading a bit more from her eyes as the illness set it deeper. He made a move she couldn't follow, his leg shooting up in a blur and kicking her in the stomach, the mere force of the blow threw her backwards to the ground. She curled in on herself for a moment as she spit the coppery mix of blood and saliva to the ground. Seeing her moment of weakness, the man lunged in for the kill, not caring that she was a student, let alone a human. Each second that passed felt like a year, and slowly dread swept over her very being as Sakura closed her eyes in defeat. So this is how it ends...I never would have thought something else other than the illness would kill me...oh well...it'll be nice to see my parents again. Kura relaxed her body and prepared herself for the attack that would lure her to the never ending darkness, but it never came, instead a voice reached her ears along with the sound of ripping flesh. "Sakura!" Her eyes flew open as she stared in horror at the sight she never wanted to see.

Kiyoko stood in front of her, blood at her feet and a vampire in front of her. No... She watched as the man pulled his arm out of her fresh wound, leaving her to fall to her knees. No.... Her body shook violently as she stared at her best friend, she person she considered her sister, bleed out n front of her. Sakura didn't miss the chuckle that escaped her friends mouth as she turned towards her, nor did she miss the blood lust that was building up inside the teachers eyes, but she couldn't move, she couldn't do anything, she was frozen in place, horrified because her worst fear was coming to life. "I...told...you...to...be...care...ful," Kiyo spoke through ragged breaths as a smile spread on her face, clearly proud that she had been able to save her friend in time, before a look of pain crossed her face, her eyes glazed over, and she fell forward, towards Sakura, who caught her with numb arms. Everything felt frozen, she couldn't move, she couldn't breath, all she could do is stare up at the man as Kiyoko lay in her arms. Seconds passed as a strange silence filled the air, but there was something else.. something deep down within Sakura...what was this?

"I...told...you...to...be...care...ful,"

Rage, searing hot rage exploded from Sakura's stomach and expanded through her body as her mind registered what had just happened. Gently she laid her friend on the ground before standing, her sword clutched in her hand as she look up at the man, the rage showing through her eyes as her aura grew darker and made the air thicker. "I'll rip your head from your shoulders." She growled before moving faster than before, her whole body a blur. She moved as he backed away from her, his eyes growing wide at the realization that he had just let loose a monster within the smaller girl. He turned to run, but she was already there to deliver a round house kick right to his face, sending him soaring over Kiyo's body and into a tree. He slowly picked himself up as she calmly walked towards him, her sword being clutched so tightly that her knuckles were white. "You deserve to have a long, drawn out death." She whispered harshly before stabbing him in the shoulder. His pain filled scream echoed off of the trees and around the forest. Kura paid no heed to his cries as she lifted the sword once more and slammed it down into his stomach, nearly the same wound that Kiyo had suffered. "No one hurts my nakama and gets away with it." A snarl escaped her throat as she lifted the sword one more time, and drove it straight through his heart. He stared up at her for a moment, her scream dying off in the back of his throat, before his body exploded into dust.

Sakura let her sword fall to the ground before turning to walk towards Kiyo, who she collapsed beside, gripping her friends blood stained hand tightly as tears escaped her eyes. She had used up to much energy during that fight, there was no possible way she could carry her much bigger friend back all the way to the infirmary before she collapsed. It was moments like this when she hated being so weak, when she hated the illness, it was all because she couldn't protect her friend, that's all she wanted, but she couldn't even help now that the fight was over. She was so useless. "I'm so sorry Kiyo-chan...please...please don't die..." She allowed the tears to fall freely as her gaze began to grow blurry.

"Idiots surround me, it's a miracle I'm not like them. But, miracles are what makes life a more worth it.

Ashes and a great amount of blood met his eyes. This was not something unexpected but at the same time, it was downright reckless. The Headmaster asked him once why he disliked having a designated partner. They were more troublesome than being useful. It is why he had always taken the patrols outside away from the main building. Other than the obvious reason of avoiding the stalker pure-blood of his which everyone was led to believe, he had been trailing the teacher all this time but making sure the targeted victims were unharmed. That is why there were no reported victims. It is why the perpetrator had become a bit restless due to the subtle meddling. He was just waiting for the right time to nab the guy. But then, this happens.

Putting back the Godhand back to its holster, Eonis approached the two females on the ground. Ito’s friend was clearly not in the best of conditions. Her wound was not fatal but it did not mean she cannot die due to the loss of blood. In short, she needed medical treatment. For now, he has to stop the wound from further bleeding. Taking a few patches from his pockets, he placed them on the girl’s wound. They were hemostatic bandages that can stop severe hemorrhage. Once, it is secured. He directed his attention to the other female in the area. This is why he preferred working alone on most things. There are fewer hassles.

As for the other prefect, she had reached her limits with that body of hers. It is fine that she does her job but when it intervenes with his. There was no way he would not complain about this. She had become a liability he needed to take care of. It was clear as day. She needed the same attention as her friend. Glancing at the spot where the teacher died, he was unable to interrogate the man liked he had planned. How disappointing although, he cannot blame Ito for her actions towards the criminal vampire. The guy deserved it.

“This is why I told you to take care of the babysitting duty.” Eonis noted towards the other prefect as he took hold of Ito’s friend first. The red-haired girl was still in danger even when he had stopped the bleeding. She needed immediate help. Even if this girl came from a hunter family, she was still officially a civilian. An innocent caught in an ugly cross-fire that could have been prevented. He cradled the girl in his arms and wondered what to do with Ito. There is no way he could carry both girls. But then again, he has to. Leaving one of them behind, it was not an option at all. Somehow, his trouble was doubled. It was all because of a newcomer in the form of a pure-blood.

The scent of blood was thick and alluring. Why wouldn't it be? It was blood, the nirvana of their appetite, the food of the vampires. But, those eyes of gold and blue never wavered for a bit. They were rather extremely calm as if, such a site was normal for him. Without asking and just by looking, Aeron already knew what happened here. It was complete chaos. Looking at the two females, he was fighting the urge to ask if they were okay. From the looks of it, they were not. So, there was only one other question to ask. “Need help?” It is true that his rather touchy and intimate gestures drive the male prefect away. But, he just can’t help it. Anyway, he still has his serious moments.

Eonis was silent. He did not want to even be near the pure-blood at the moment. However, he does not have that many choices. “Carry Ito.” Aeron was not right if he had heard right. The male prefect just ordered him to carry Ito. It is true he had offered his services but carrying meant touching. That was not a good idea at all. “You should do that.” He stated with a bright smile. If it was possible to kill someone now, he would have done it right here. This idiot asked if he needed help when he said to carry Ito. The fool told him to do that himself. “Just get lost! Make sure the night class does not come here until this scene is properly cleaned-up.”

There was no doubt about it. Eonis was angry at him again. But, Aeron cannot help it. If he did what was asked of him, Ito would be good as dead. But seeing the male prefect’s situation, there was not much of a choice in the matter. Before he could respond, Eonis was trying to make things work with two girl being carried by him. “…I’ll do it.” He stated as he was now before Ito’s form. Ash blue eyes looked at the idiotic pure-blood for quite some time before nodding as an answer. It was clear Aeron had just buried himself to eternal slumber. Fortunately, he was wearing gloves. He would be apologizing early because it was not going to be a comfortable ride at all with him.

It was either humorous or downright mean. Eonis could not stop shaking his head from time to time. He does not care if the idiotic pure-blood dislikes Ito. As long as, the female prefect is sent to the infirmary. Finally arriving, Aeron was carrying Ito like a grocery bag. His gloved hand grabbed onto the female prefect’s upper attire and walked with much distance from Eonis as requested. At the same time, Aeron was trying to keep himself from being touched. For now, it seemed effective. They soon reached the main building.

“Drop her.” Eonis stated as they were now in the infirmary. He had already informed the doctor there who immediately went to treat Ito’s friend and his fellow prefect. Aeron was obedient and simply dropped Ito on the bed. After doing so, he quickly rushed towards the Eonis. “I did good! Where is my reward.” Aiming to embrace him again, Eonis dodged to the side. Due to that action, Aeron imprinted his face on the wall with such clear shape. “I never said anything, you idiot.” After saying that, Eonis left the infirmary knowing full well, the doctor would handle it. As for Aeron, he pouted miserably and took a deep breath. He had matters to attend to, clean-up. Taking one last look at the girls, he softly whispered. "Take care." Then, he left the room leaving the females in the hands of the doctor and nurse. Just like that, the sky was already dark. Night has now enveloped Cross Academy.

"Sometimes it feels as if my doors keep closing on me, and that I can't open them. It just means there is a new door opening for you. Will you go through it?"

Cherry blossoms fell from the hands of the tree's, surrounding a young boy. Petals fell into the abyss of his hair, bringing a new color to the void as blue eyes stared at the scene. The young boy then turned to peer into the blue eyes with a matching set of carmine brown. A smile tugged at the boys face as a bloodied hand offered itself to the boy. Glancing at the hand, Kiyoko noticed it was hers. Was she dreaming? This had to be a dream, so why was her hand bloodied? Reaching up to touch the side of her neck, the feeling of torn flesh glided through her fingers as the boy's smile widened.

A pair of obsidian eyes glanced at the scene. Blood, that blood, covered the area in a dangerous scent. The eyes never left the people surrounding the fallen form of the two girls. They then glanced in particularly at the black-haired youth. A deep chuckle resonated through the shadows before it died upon the cool breeze. They had finally been located. This was grand news indeed. It means that he can finally return. He who had been banished to that god-forsaken place, could finally take his rightful place where he belonged.

"In due time princess. You and that shadow will return," the voice spoke before it faded, almost as if it was never there to begin with. The words, however; did not pass by deaf ears. White ears flattened against the head as Shiranui bore his fangs, a menacing growl resonating through his body. There was no doubt about it that the voice could only belong to him. That guy his master left in charge. Shiranui did not like this one bit. Although he was tasked for looking out for the girl, his thoughts and opinions varied greatly from his masters. He wished to protect her from harm, even if it meant going against his masters wishes, however; he couldn't. He was bound to an oath he swore, and now it was eating him up.

He had just arrived at the scene when a scream and the scent of blood filled the air. He knew he shouldn't have left the two to that teacher. Even though the teacher wasn't exactly a threat, he still managed to injure the one person whom Shiranui was supposed to keep an eye on. This only further angered and caused the wolf to growl and snarl, his eyes floating over the scene as he watched the ash float in the air. The sound of a spark cackled in the background as the nearby tree snapped and fell into a fiery embrace. The embers floated around as Shiranui watched the flames eat at the ashes once more.

Kiyoko's eyes snapped open, and immediately she regretted it. An insurmountable pain ruptured through her abdomen as she cried out in the pain. A doctor was by her side immediately, trying to shove something in her face, but she refused whatever it was they were trying to give her. Her mind felt like it was on fire and her stomach felt as if she'd been kicked so many times and then pierced with several long needles. The doctor urged her to take the medicine that had been offered to her previously and she finally obliged. It didn't take away the pain she felt, but whatever it was, it would be kicking in soon. She squeezed her eyes shut as she grabbed at her stomach. The events played over in her mind as she tried to control her breathing. This pain wasn't something she wasn't accustomed to. Her sister had accidentally stabbed her once and it was a similar sensation, however; being stabbed at once with multiple sharp objects was not something Kiyoko wanted to feel again.

Wait? How did she get into the infirmary? She opened her eyes once more and tossed her head to the side, spotting Sakura not far from her before her lips pursed into a frown. She seemed to be passed out, probably due to pushing herself passed her limits. This caused the frown to deepen on Kiyoko's face. She could have did something sooner. She wasn't exactly a helpless civilian, she as raised by hunters for pete's sake! They had taught her, or rather she learned, how to defend herself from vampires. How could she have been so careless? If she had re-acted sooner instead of standing in the shadows, Sakura would be okay and wouldn't have over exerted herself. She wouldn't have this wound in her stomach either. Although it wasn't fatal, it still hurt.

She released a slow breath as she turned to face the ceiling. There was no point in dwelling on it now since the pain would still be about. She would be sore for the next few days, probably a week or so. But that didn't matter so long as Sakura was safe. She would bare this wound with pride knowing she was able to prolong her friends life, even if she had recklessly endangered her own. That, however, was what friends did...right? They protected each other from harm and anything that threatened their lives. She shook the thoughts from her mind as another bout of pain ran through her body. She cringed and whined before relaxing as it passed. She glanced out the window and noticed the moon. A frown marred her face. It wasn't it's usual bright bluish white hue. It was colored a deep red. Before she could linger on the thoughts any longer, a voice captured her attention.

"You should thank Prefect Shiraga and the Melanthe pure-blood. They brought you here," Kiyoko turned to spot a soft smile on a nurse's face. She held a couple of towels and bandages in her arms as she opened her deep brown eyes to Kiyoko who weakly smiled in response. She could still feel the affects of the blood loss and her mind was currently fading in and out, especially with that dream she just had. She wasn't one for knowing what dreams meant, but she couldn't help but feel such a strong feeling that it was true. Was this something she had forgotten? Something that was erased from her past? There it was again, that itching feeling burning at the back of her mind. She tried to close it off, but it only grew. Why was she forced to forget much of her childhood? She couldn't understand much of anything and she couldn't fathom a reason why her mother would do such a thing.

"Thank you, I will do that as soon as I am able to," Kiyoko finally replied as she closed her eyes for a bit. "How is Sakura-chan? Is she okay?" Kiyoko asked as she directed her attention towards the nurse once more. The frown that settled upon her face caused a slight worry in Kiyoko's being. The nurse set the towels down before sitting next to Kiyoko's bed. She kept her gaze on her hands, and this caused a fear to bubble up within Kiyoko. Had Sakura finally succumbed to the illness? Had she truly over exerted herself in this fight with the teacher? So many questions and fears floated through Kiyoko's mind that she almost missed the words that came from the nurse.

"She's lucky to still be alive," she had stated. Alive. Sakura was still alive. This was a relief, but the dread still lingered in the back of Kiyoko's mind. If Sakura continued this course, then she would undoubtedly kill herself way before her time. Perhaps...perhaps she would talk to the headmaster and see if she could swap places with Sakura. If she could protect and prolong her friends life by becoming a prefect in her stead, then she would do it. But she needed to heal properly first. Then she could speak with the Headmaster. Also, she'd have to find a proper way to thank Eonis and Aeron for their help.

Although she wasn't entirely sure why they helped in the first place. Eonis she could understand, and at the same time couldn't. He was a prefect so it was his job to protect the students, but Aeron? What was his reasoning? Perhaps a request from Eonis. This thought caused her to mentally laugh. Even though Eonis didn't want to acknowledge the pure-bloods feelings, it was still a sight to behold whenever they interacted. Maybe she'll cook something for them. After all, what a better way to say thank you than by food?

"Do you fear death? Such an odd question..."

Sakura was not comfortable, but then again how could you be when you were dead? Was she dead? She cracked her eyes open and was met by the sight of an Angel. Oh...So there are Angels...that's nice. She made a strangled noise while trying to move around in the stiff arms that held her, but she couldn't get her body to move. If I'm dead, shouldn't I be able to move? Why was this Angel holding her in such a strange way?

She squinted her eyes at the fair haired male that was carrying her, he was truly beautiful with his sharp features and porcelain colored skin, however that wasn't what caught her attention through, it was his eyes, one gold, one blue, they were enchanting and they made her sleepy again. I'm going crazy.. She opened her mouth to say something, to try to gain the Angel's attention, but no noise came out, and then darkness took her again. At least I got to see an Angel before I died Sakura sighed as her body went limp once more.

"Do you fear death?"

Sakura turned around to face Kyo, who stood five feet away from her. They both stood in the middle of an open field as snow fell slowly all around them. It was an odd question to be asked, but there again maybe it wasn't. Her days were limited anyway, so it was honestly a good question, but she had avoided it for so long. Death, the ending to all things on earth, Sakura didn't believe in life after death, she didn't believe in souls going to a happy place, or forever wandering the earth, she believed in a eternal abyss, like a black hole. That is where she figured she would go one day, not to heaven or hell, but just...a dark, cold place. Sakura was sure that's where her parents were now, in a cold dark place with no way out. That's death...

"Do you fear death?"

Kyo repeated the question while stepping closer to the smaller girl. He wanted to know her answer since she only have a year left to live. He had been with Sakura for quite some time now, but he had never heard her admit to fearing death, and part of him was sure she never would. She was to strong and noble to tell someone else that she was afraid of something, because she didn't want others to endanger their lives for her when she was scared, she couldn't let others know her weakness or they would end up getting hurt trying to help her, so why she had decided to be truthful, Kyo would never fully understand.

"Maybe a little at first...but not anymore. I've seen enough death to know when to fear it and when to not fear it, after awhile people just grow tired, not just physically, but mentally. I know it's not normal for someone so young to be mentally tired, but I am."

Sakura fell backwards into the snow covered ground. It was cold but at the same time she felt safe and at peace, with the snow slowly falling from above her, and the snow on the ground around her, it was very peaceful, it was in that moment that Sakura decided she would die in the snow when her time came, it would be so peaceful that she would just be able to let it all go, close her eyes and drift off, away from her body and this world and to the abyss that was waiting so eagerly to greet her.

"I'm not scared of dying...I'm just going to be sad that I'll miss so much more than everyone else...I'll never get married, I'll never have children and I'll never get to watch them grow up and get married, I'll never even get to finish school or..."

I'll never get my revenge...

She sighed quietly and closed her eyes. That's right, she'll never get to find those Vampires that killed her family and she'll never get to make them pay for what they had done to her. She already would have such a short life, why would anyone want to put her into more pain by taking away her only light? It was when her parents died that she gave up on the 'light at the end of the tunnel' their deaths had ripped a hole into her chest, and it had left her broken in her own darkness, she no longer had tears left to cry over their deaths through.

"I'll never get to grow old and grey with someone who I would love even after death...I'll never get that..."

Despite her words, her voice never wavered, it stayed strong and steady. However Kyo picked up something in her tone that no one else would be able to, regret. She wasn't scared of death after all, just not being able to live. Poor fragile little human. If only she knew there was another option...Well honestly she did know, but she refused. Sakura didn't want to become an animal of the night, she didn't want to have to live in the darkness like himself. It was honestly sad that such a blazing life was going to give up so soon. She sighed quietly before approaching her. he had removed his own jacket and wrapped it around the smaller girl before scooping her up into his arms.

"Where are we going, Kyo?" She said this while yawning, it meant that the walk to the clearing had taken a toll on her, the sleepiness in her eyes showed the Vampire holding her that the illness was already eating her alive. How sad.

"We need to get you back to the infirmary so you can take your medicine." He said this in a surprisingly gentle tone that he reserved for the small girl in his arms. "You can sleep now, it's a long walk back." He murmured softly while clutching her closer. Kyo wouldn't let any harm befall this girl while she was in his charge. It was the promise he had agreed upon, and the promise he would take to his death bed.

"Thank you..."

Sakura slowly opened her eyes as moonlight cast in through the open window of her room in the Infirmary. She must have pushed herself to far...how had she gotten there? "You should thank Prefect Shiraga and the Melanthe pure-blood. They brought you here," The voice wasn't directed towards Sakura, but instead towards someone else in the room next to her own. So it had been Eon and Aeron that had brought them here....Aeron had been the Angel? Brilliant, she really was losing her mind. "Thank you, I will do that as soon as I am able to," So the nurse was talking to Kiyo, that made sense. At least her friend was okay, that's all that mattered.

"How is Sakura-chan? Is she okay?" Sakura's heart twisted at the desperation that was laced with Kiyo's voice, it made her feel so helpless, even through she had saved her friend from the teacher, she hadn't been able to bring her back to the infirmary herself, she hadn't been able to be there by her friends said. waiting for her to wake, and she would never be able to save her from the pain of her illness.

There was a long pause before the nurse answered, but Sakura already knew the answer. "She's lucky to still be alive," Yes, yes she was lucky to be alive. She only have a month and two days left to live, and that would be the end of Sakura Ito, no more laughs or smiles or even fights, only a corpse. She sighed and stood from her bed. She was still dressed in her school uniform, which for the most part, was still in tact, through she did have some blood on her white button up shirt, she hid it with her coat. The only way anyone would be able to tell that she had been in a fight was the bandage below her right eye that hid the nasty gash she had gotten for being to slow, and the slow forming bruises on her knees, right shoulder, and her left side.

Sakura ran a hand through her hair, trying to fix it as best as possible, before stumbling over to the open window, and jumping right out. She may be ill, and half dead on her feet, but she still had a job as a prefect of Cross Academy, and she was not going to allow Eonis to handle patrol all by himself while she was still alive. Once Kura's feet hit the ground, she started off in a light jog, only stumbling five times, and only having to stop for a breather twice.

"When they said there was nothing to fear but fear itself, I wonder, did that person ever know of the shadows that lurked behind them? Because to fear something is to give that thing the power over your consciousness until it becomes your world. I won't let it swallow you."

Chaos.

Utter chaos. Those were the only words to describe the situation at hand. The doctors and nurses were running around, trying to find the other Prefect. Kiyoko could feel her eyebrow twitching in irritation as she released a slow sigh. If Sakura's illness didn't kill her first, Kiyoko was going to. The girl just didn't know when to rest. Kiyoko released a slow breath as she winced at the pain still residing in her stomach. Although the medicine had already kicked in, the pain was still lingering about. This was worse than having to endure a broken arm or leg. She's had her fair share of broken bones, much to the displeasure of her adoptive mother, but they were all worth it. She learned from those broken bones as she would learn from this wound. She slowly tried to sit up, but found herself unable to. If she made unnecessary movements, she could risk opening her wound again.

"Well, I feel useless now," she muttered to herself as she stared up at the ceiling. She couldn't give chase to Sakura like she wanted to. She would risk opening her wound and causing it to bleed, however; the more she thought about her friend's own life, the less she was worried about it. She groaned out in frustration, causing one of the nurses to pause in her search and glanced at Kiyoko. She then ignored the red-haired girl and left out of the room. A soft laugh escaped Kiyoko's mouth as she sighed. She was growing irritated and worried by the second until she found herself sitting up slowly. The bandages held in place as she slipped her feet onto the cold floor, a shiver rolling down her back as she stood. With wobbly feet, she took a hesitant step towards the door. The small action caused another fit of pain to shoot through her stomach, however; it wasn't enough to re-open the wound.

"Alright Kiyoko, take it one step at a time," she spoke to herself. She wouldn't be noticed if she left. The doctors were too busy searching for her sickly friend, which was alright by her. She'll go find her on her own. Once she was out of the infirmary, she made a slow journey towards the doors and soon found herself outside. "So far so good," she stated as she took in short breaths. She was already slightly covered in sweat from the ordeal. After all, she had lost a lot of blood. She sighed, running a hand partially through her red locks. If Sakura didn't die first, Kiyoko would from exhaustion. She shouldn't be out an about, logic was screaming at her to return to the infirmary. But, this was her friends life on the line. Her life was becoming just a mere flicker. Who knew how much longer Sakura had before she collapsed. She gritted her teeth in aggravation as a surge of adrenaline coursed through her veins.

She could work off of that for now. As such, Kiyoko found herself deep within the back woods of the Academy again. She had labored breathing by this point and the bandages had become soaked with her sweat. Surprisingly, the wound remained closed and hadn't re-opened which she was thankful for. She needed to rest though. She found a nearby tree and slumped against it, allowing the night breeze to cool her heated body before turning her head to the side. Blue met amber as the large beast sauntered over towards her. She smiled, offering her hand out to the wolf who seemed to house a concerned appearance. Shiranui smelled her hand, pretending to act as a wild beast should and slowly made his way to her. He sat next to her and gazed at her hand laying on her stomach. He could smell the faint aroma of blood that had dried through the bandages and as such, he lay across her lap. She stroked his fur softly as her vision faded in and out. She was so very tired. And it was a beautiful night. She could claim she was camping outside.

"I hope Sakura-chan is alright," she muttered, Shiranui's ears picking up on the worry and tiredness. He stared at his Master's sister as she closed her eyes. The faint rising of her chest signaled she had fallen asleep against the old cherry blossom tree that had died about a year ago. Why it was still standing was a mystery to most people, however; a single pink blossom bloomed underneath Kiyoko's head, allowing the petal to fall gently on her hair. Shiranui sighed as best as he could as he turned his attention towards the surrounding vicinity. He would keep watch of her here since she was vulnerable outside. He would have protested, but if he had, he would have given away his identity. Or at least partial identity. She would know he was a familiar, but she wouldn't know whose familiar he was. Not that he cared, his job was to protect. That was the one thing his master ordered him to do before Shinji was locked away. His thoughts were soon interrupted by a light chuckle.

"Still playing the dutiful familiar?" the voice spoke, causing Shiranui to flatten his ears to the back of his head. A deep rumble elicited from his throat as it could be felt through his stomach. Shiranui didn't like this particular thing, and for good reason. He was his master's right hand. The one he had entrusted his plans to and the secret to his awakening: Atlas. His face was hidden beneath a shroud of shadow. The only thing visible was a pair of golden eyes gleaming through. "Come now Shira, is that any way to treat a friend," the man spoke as a smirk could be seen tugging at his lips. Shiranui merely kept his fangs bared at the shadow. It wasn't time yet. They still needed cultivating and she was still human. His master left specific instructions for Atlas to follow, yet it seemed he was in a hurry to resurrect the Kuran heir.

"Stand down Atlas. You have no business here," were the only words that fluttered through the wolf's mouth. Atlas merely grinned at the wolf as a laugh echoed through the vicinity. Kiyoko shifted in her makeshift bed, causing Shiranui to glance at her from the corner of his eyes. "It isn't time, and she is still a human. Master would not be pleased with you if you brought him human blood, even if it was hers," he continued. Atlas kept the grin on his face as he shrugged. Soon, he was gone as if he was never there to begin with. This did not bode well at all for Shiranui. He wouldn't be able to keep her safe much longer. Once the set day arrived, there would be nothing he could do to keep her from becoming the thing she feared most: a vampire. With a sigh, he laid his head between his paws and drifted off into a light slumber. That didn't mean he wouldn't try to protect her. He knew she didn't want to become a vampire. It was a thought she had shared with him once on their many meetings. He would have laughed at the girl if she hadn't know that she already was a vampire once. He wouldn't sleep much tonight, he needed to be prepared for anything or anyone that may stumble across the fiery-haired girl and her sleeping white wolf.

"Expect the unexpected."

Sakura was expecting a lot of things to happen as she walked slowly around her patrol area, she expected to run into Eon, since he most likely figured he would have the whole patrol tonight, she had expected to maybe run into the nurses and doctors that were most likely looking for her now, she had even expected to run into Kuro, however, what she had not expected was to run into Aeron. Sakura had been stumbling her way along, her head tilted back so she could stare up at the full moon, when she heard more footsteps. The had stopped and listened for a moment, but they were awfully calm for panicked Nurses or Day Class students who were out past curfew, that most likely meant whoever was walking towards her was a Night Class student skipping classes, or the Headmaster walking about, maybe he was helping with the rounds?

Sighed she lolled her head back around so she was facing forward, and blinked twice, because she had not been expecting Aeron to be standing in front of her. Had he said something about resting? She blinked a few more times as if just realizing that she was still out walking patrol, when Aeron spoke once more, this time informing her that the Night Class had been let out earlier than usual. She frowned at this, because it was most likely her fault, they were now lacking a teacher, and it was because she had stabbed him through the heart...and the shoulder...and the stomach...She sighed again and shrugged her shoulders tiredly. "There's no real point in me resting, I don't want to spend my last month in a bed, let alone in the infirmary." Sakura explained in a quite tone before glancing at the area around them. How far was she from her dorm? Surly not that far...

Suddenly Sakura's head snapped back towards Aeron. She had to tilt her head to be able to catch a glimpse of his miss-match eyes of his,but one glimpse was all she needed to be reminded of him carrying her back to the infirmary and helping Eonis. If anyone finds out I thought he was an Angel I'll never live it down. Sakura grimaced at the mere thought before smiling the smallest of smiles up at Aeron. "Thank you for bringing me to the infirmary Aeron-san, if you hadn't been there Eonis-sama would have had to take Kiyoko-chan to the infirmary and came back for me but by then I would have..." The frown had returned to her face as she looked down. She would have died in that clearing, and it was all her fault. She had rushed into things without informing anyone else other then Kuro, she could have very well gotten Kiyo and herself killed, and it was all her fault.

Suddenly rushed footsteps came pounding down on the grown not to far behind them, it was clearly the Nurses and Doctors, and all they needed to do was turn the corner in order to find where she had run off to. "Hide!" She squeaked in a panicked voice before grabbing the bigger boys sleeve and tugging him towards the bushes. "Please, I don't want them to see me!" She looked up with pleading eyes as the footsteps got louder along with the voices. Sakura hated doctors, but not as much as she feared them, it was a stupid fear yes, but she had her reasons. Doctors had been the people to tell her that her parents were dead, doctors were the people to tell her that she would die, doctors were the people that had strapped her down to the cold metal table when she was five and forced her to take medicine and go through several surgery's that way they could gain more information on her illness, doctors had ruined her life. "Please!" She whispered again more urgent in her voice than before as she tugged on his sleeve once more, all strength from earlier that day had left Sakura and now all she could do was stare up at the Pure-Blood with large, pleading, frightened eyes. She did not want to have to go back to that infirmary, they had told her last time she was there that if she ever slipped out again they would tie her to the bed, and she would rather drop dead then and there then allow that to happen ever again in her life.

"Wherever I go, trouble always finds it way to me. Need I remind you, I'm not kind.”

From the looks of it, the clean-up crew had arrived and was done. Looking around, they did a good job. There was no more blood staining the ground. There were no more indications of any altercations that occurred here. Well, there were a few scoff marks but they were barely noticeable. Actually, they could pass up as a work of nature. He was still a bit irate his plan did not go as he wanted. All because of that other prefect who should have minded her own business. Releasing a sigh, it was also inevitable. The girl's duty was also the same as his. He had noted to the Headmaster earlier, the desire to remove Ito from her designation as prefect. She was more of a distraction than help. If she wanted to die, let her end her life out of his jurisdiction.

Unfortunately, the Headmaster simply gave him that mysterious yet solemn look before stating that there are things in this life which must be left as it is. He hated it when the old guy would be ambiguous about things that truly mattered. After all, he did not come here for some Chinese philosophy dabble. In the end, the discussion came to one end. Ito was still prefect and he was to keep an eye on her at all times. Just great. He disliked having any kind of responsibilities in terms of objects that have life. Specifically, he hated being a babysitter unless he is inclined to harm those he watches over. But in the case of the girl, she was not something he had to harm. How tedious. How annoying.

Remembering the said discussion, he clicked his tongue and then released quite the sigh. What did he do in his past life to deserve such troubles in his current life? An idiotic vampire following him everywhere and another prefect needed to be taken care of as if some fragile package. In case they forgot, he was not known to have the inclination to be gentle to anyone. He lacked any kind of amiable interaction. Most of the teams or partners he had before were just for show. Even then, he never created a bond that cannot be severed easily. More importantly, he never concerned himself with them even more so with their well-being. In the end, everyone was just a tool or an enemy in those kind of situations where he needed to cooperate.

Anyway, there was not much to do now. He had noticed that the night class had been dismissed earlier. It is good that the stupid pure-blood still has a brain. Therefore, the idiot still has his uses. It also means he need not need to stay up for the entirety of the night. His patrols were technically over. He had already passed by the Moon Dormitory and had everyone accounted for except for that fool of a vampire. Well, he could careless for the guy but, rules are still rules. He would need to search for that pure-blood which he never wanted to do ever. A scene was already forming in his mind and it cause terrible shivers throughout his body. He does not want to look for that vampire. But as of now, there was no other choice.

Taking a deep breath, he messed his hair in frustration and then released a long sigh. This was going to be a one-time deal. He would make sure of that as he cracked his fingers indicating quite a violent measure to be taken. After doing so, Eonis left the area and went on his way to look for the missing pure-blood leader. As for the Day Class, they seemed to have their heads screwed-on correctly. No one broke curfew which meant less work for him. Although, he still has that other prefect to deal with. Why do people intend to be his problem? Why do they want him to be annoyed with their personal matters he could careless about? He was not a social worker if no one noticed that. With that in mind, the goggles that always decorated his head was placed before his eyes like a visor.

Just like that, he walked through the woods not minding the fact that Ito was around running about. He was far annoyed to deal with the midget as of now. Furthermore, he already had enough of his patience and willpower just to look for that idiotic pure-blood being used. He does not have any reserves for the things that greatly tops his list of hates. Anyway, he continued to walk letting his instincts guide him to some place. Not before long, he walked passed the dead cherry blossom tree. He did not even looked underneath the said tree but he did notice presences. But, he did not want to get involve in another matter he does not care for. But then again, he is the prefect and the girl was clearly defying the rules and a doctor's order.

Stopping midway, he pushed his goggles back to his hair which served once more as a decorative hairpiece. He then looked over his shoulder as his ash green eyes fell on the red-haired woman and the source of many wolf stories. The appearance of the white wolf was not that big of a question. This was the woods, the animal had rights roaming around it. As for the girl who had herself stabbed in the stomach, she was not supposed to be up and about. Girls were truly a problematic gender. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly as he released another sigh. This was just great. His troubles just keep on coming.

Approaching the girl who had fallen asleep, he shook his head. It is a known fact that a bed is more comfortable than some trunk of a dead tree. Why she chose to stay here is beyond him. "Oi." He started. Thinking about it, she might have followed Ito out. The girl was concerned about that dwarf by the looks of it. If that was the case, she was an idiot. What can she possibly do right now? She was useless and will can only get one so far. When the girl was still asleep, he nudged her by kicking her feet to jolt her. "The Sun Dormitory is that way." Eonis stated and then looked at the wolf. "I won't be carrying you like a princess twice. You can hitch on him for a ride if you want." He continued on as he looked down at Ito's friend. "Don't be my problem." There was no delicacy in his tone. Well, he really was not that kind of person after all. To him, this was simply his duty. There was nothing personal and never did he want it to be.

"Lately, my thoughts have been plagued of you. Why can't I remember anything else?"

Kiyoko had been standing in a field of fallen cherry blossoms. They were all vibrant and gleamed beneath the morning sun. She turned to see the same little boy she had in her dreams for the passed few days, and she recognized the carmine brown gaze of his. She smiled brightly, her lips moving to say something, but no sound could be heard. He replied as his image faded and was replaced by another. This visage was blurred. She couldn't make out who or what it was. Their hand offered itself out to her as she hesitantly took it. The shadow's image spoke something to her, but still no sounds could be heard, however; she replied without hesitation.

"Always,"

"Then go away if you do not want me to be your problem," Kiyoko muttered as she felt her foot being nudged, or kicked, by something. The voice that floated through her ears registered as the one she knew as Eonis Shiraga. Slowly, she opened her cobalt blue eyes and turned to face the ashen green of his. She blinked slowly before feeling the weight of something heavy on her legs. She spotted Shiranui laying across her legs with one eye cracked open glancing at the boy as well. As odd as it was, Shiranui did not perceive this boy as a threat. There was something about him that Shiranui could not place, but it was familiar. Initially, their first meeting was a rather awkward kind. His presence radiated greatly from the black-haired youth that Shiranui nearly bounded over to him like a puppy finding it's owner for the first time, however; he quickly deduced that this boy wasn't him.

"And I don't need you to carry me. I can walk perfectly fine by myself," she stated through an annoyed tone. She was about to thank him for carrying her the first time, but now she was annoyed by this boy. Sure, he was a prefect, she a civilian, and he was just doing his job, but something just never clicked right with Kiyoko. She would have been childish about it and stick out her tongue, but she decided against it and merely turned her gaze back to the sky. Shiranui just yawned, removing himself from her legs and sat next to her. She could ride him if he needed to provide her a way back to her dormitory. He was a rather large wolf to begin with, much larger than the average. People who managed to spot him always tried to see him again and stare with such awe and wonder while many others tried to kill him. They thought he was a trophy. Needless to say, they wouldn't be hunting in these woods again.

"Besides, I am comfortable. So if you don't mind, go away," she stated, fluttering her hand out in front of her as if to shoo him away. There were no vampires around and Shiranui was with her. She didn't have to return if she didn't want to. That or she was just being stubborn because the prefect annoyed her a bit. Why take it out on herself though if that was the case? The medicine must be messing with her sense of logic...or common sense really. She really wasn't comfortable against the dead bark of the tree. Why she even chose to, oh that's right she was tired. She had a few minutes of rest, perhaps it was time to return to the dorm. Maybe Sakura already made it back? She released a sigh before groaning out in frustration. She hated being injured, it didn't leave her with much to do and she felt completely useless. She didn't want to be useless yet she didn't want to be hinderance either.

She glanced back at the prefect before releasing another irritated sigh. Fine, have it his way, she'll go back to the dorms. First thing was first though: getting up. She laughed nervously as she struggled to get up, but every time she tried, she'd lose her grip and just slump back against the tree. It seemed as if her legs were out of commission, how odd. Well, she wasn't going to let that stop her. She'll be damned if the prefect helped her up and then tried to be mad about it afterwards. She didn't need that nor did she want to hear it from him. With one last try, Kiyoko managed to stand on her own and used the dead tree as leverage, letting a triumphant "ha" escape from her lips with a grin plastered to her face. Now the hard part was over, she had to make her way towards the dorms. She wasn't going to show up riding a large wolf. She wasn't stupid, some of the Day Class students had a knack for staying up late and staring out their windows. She had noticed it once from one of her own late night trips.

"See ya," she stated as she gave the prefect a mock salute and turned her attention towards Shiranui. "Alright Nui, you stay and be a good boy. I can't risk people seeing you. They'll ask questions," she stated with a shiver. She didn't want to answer questions anyone might have brought up because of the appearance of the wolf. Plus they might think she was like Remus and Romulus, the twin brothers raised by a she-wolf. She chuckled at the absurdity of the thought as she waved a hand good-bye to the prefect. It would take her some time, probably the whole night, to reach the dorms if she sauntered at a slow pace. She'll just find another place to sleep for the night. She didn't want to push herself too hard in order to find a comfortable bed to sleep in and plus, she was used to being outside. The Tachibana's always created a weekend, once or twice a month, to go camping. She had enjoyed spending time with them, however; as of late, she has been missing her family. Her mother, her father, and her brother.

She might not have remembered much of her brother, but every time she thought of him, her heart fluttered and a warmth would flow through her. And this warmth always seemed to radiate from her being. It made others, regardless of what was happening, happy. They had pointed this out to her once and she merely passed it by as just something they were hallucinating. She peered over her shoulder and laughed nervously. She hadn't made it very far from Shiranui and the prefect. "Don't mind me, just taking my time!" she called out nervously before she sighed. She wasn't going anywhere fast. Oh what a night this truly was. Shiranui just shook his head.
