”Light dwindles and darkness spreads, regardless, eternity stays with me.”

The clock chimes like an endless sonata. Upon the silken sheets which are stained of crimson liquid, Rien lay with such a bored expression. His eyes of red looked at the ceiling as if seeing something beyond it. At the side of his neck, blood splattered as if someone had ripped his skin. However, this was untrue. It was all due to Cassandra feeding in a very ravenous manner which had probably resulted from the jealousy on how he had addressed the problem about the beast. Of course, he did not stop her from doing so. It was not something which bothered him greatly nor did he mind such a manner of feeding. Although, there was a great amount of blood taken from him. He did not feel any form of weakness from it.

"Master, it is time." This was spoken with such hollow intentions by his familiar spoke which materialized out of thin air. Pelus now stood at the balcony doors as he gazed at the form of his Master who laid still. The pure-blood closed his eyes for a moment. Yes, the alarm was to inform that it was time for classes. Another night to endure with such useless lectures and needless council. Speaking of which, he was also certain that there were only but a handful of night class students. After all, the incident last night decreased the numbers more than a half. There was also the trauma of the event which would render most of the students unwilling to attend.

Alas, Rien had nothing else better to do. As such, he finally stood from his bed in one swift yet elegant movement. He would be attending the class although, he would most likely just leisure about. Straightening his kimono which also now catered some of his blood, he looked at it with plain disinterest. His blood had always been an intriguing factor to his existence. Even with the eternity given to him, he had yet to find a reason behind his creation. Yet, he had simply learned not to care about it anymore. Ending that thought there, he proceeded to his personal bathroom to clean and prepare himself.

It was then a knocked through Supremo's room. There was another once more before the doors were opened. It revealed Cassandra who seemed to be a bit timid in her demeanor. She entered and closed the doors behind her. Her eyes of indigo-blue scanned the room as the putrid scent of her Master's blood filled the air. Her shame only further by it as she recalled what had happened. She was not able to control herself in such a fit of jealous hunger. Still, her Master did not say anything about it. Instead, she had opted to leave in a hurry once she had regained her sense of self. It was then, she met those carmine red eyes looking at her with not an ounce of contempt or disgust. There was simply nothing which made her more ashamed.

Cassandra noticed Pelus who simply pointed to the bathroom where the sound of flowing water can be heard. She nodded in understanding and simply stood there. It would be a good thing for her to gather her thoughts and to apologize. As such, she leaned on the doors behind her and closed her eyes while she assessed herself personally. She was already in her uniform which was also mirrored by Pelus. "Pelus, did you find it yet?" This was Cassandra's query as she remained in her position, unchanging. The reason for their coming here was only due to one factor. If that was answered, the three of them can leave this place. She truly did not want to stay here longer than necessary especially in regards to Supremo.

Pelus knew that obsessive and dangerous attachment that Cassandra has for their Master. He could not blame her for that. Their Master had set such a trap which no one can resist. He should know, he is a part of the elusive pure-blood. "Not yet, Milady." Hearing this, Cassandra released quite a sigh. It is true that their Master has no interest of any happenings of the world which does not related to him personally. Even if they were about him, the Master simply ignores it all together. Unless, it was about that. She did not want the pure-blood to get involved with the intrigues occurring as of late. There was no need to. However, it seemed that in one way or another, her Master was being forcefully dragged which she does not want to be so.

"We must hurry..." Cassandra softly noted while Pelus simply nodded. Just like that, they waited for their Master to emerge from the bathroom. Soon enough, the trio were now descending the grand staircase. It would be notable that Cassandra had a flushed face. One could guess that the pure-blood had something to do with that. As for Pelus, he remained as emotionless as ever while Rien remained sophisticated and arrogant in his presence and gestures. Unlike the crowd of night class waiting before, there were only about ten left. "The rest has left in fear and the other had already died." Cassandra informed Supremo even if the pure-blood was not asking or showing any indication of curiosity. This was a typical scenario after all. In the end, everyone has something to fear. For many of the Night Class, it was that beast.

Supremo simply walked ahead not minding if they follow him or not. They were not his responsibility and he had no intentions to take them under his wing. In any case, they follow Rien's lead while Pelus and Cassandra followed closely. Once the Moon Dormitory Gates were opened. The shouts and screams of the ignorant day class students soon changed into hushed whispers of confusion. Where were the others? Why so few? Of course, these questions were not answered at all. Rien continued on his while his eyes spotted the prefect's form. There was something that caught his attention but he simply passed it off with an intriguing smile. This was seen by the day class who immediately forgot about the dwindling numbers of the night class and screamed so loud that it could bring a house down. As such, they all rushed to get a more closer view to Rien who of course was instantly protected by Cassandra and Pelus. Oh, what a chaos he had done with just a smile.

"You matter little now. I have other things to attend to and I will not allow you to irritate me.""

For once, Shizuka stood to the far off side, avoiding the mass of Day Class students that were forming. She'd deal with them soon enough, but right now, they were not causing havoc. It gave her a moments peace to collect and gather her thoughts. She was still angry, furious of the words that man spoke. Instinctively, her hand went to cover the mark as her eyes narrowed. She'd find another way to remove this brand from her. She didn't need help from them and she wasn't going to actively seek it either. Her thoughts were interrupted by the confused whispers of the Day Class students. Her eyes trailed their line of sight and she understood. There were only a handful of Night Class students walking to their designated class, and as usual, the arrogant pure-blood was leading them.

Shizuka merely glanced at the class before glancing away, however; the sudden shouts and clamoring for the Night Class thundered through her ears and she winced slightly. It was an irritating sound, one she wished she didn't have to deal with, but now she had no other choice. With an irritated sigh, she turned to the source of the sudden cries and shouts. What she saw caused her eye to twitch, violently. The pure-blood was smiling, although it was a curious smile. She frowned before she made her way towards the front of the crowd. She didn't have time to be dealing with the nonsensical fantasies these humans seemed to have for the Night Class. A fleeting sense of Déjà vu crossed her as a student made a dash towards the class. Gritting her teeth, Shizuka snatched the student and tossed them back into the crowd.

"That is enough for one night. Shut up and get back to your dorms, or so help me you all will be punished," she stated in a rather calm tone. She was seething on the inside, and these Day Class students never made it any easier. She truly wished she hadn't taken up the job as prefect, but there was little she could do about it now. She heard a few retorts of protest and immediately, her eyes were on the culprits. "Do you want to test me? I will give you all the count of five, and if a single one of you remains...well," a smirk adorned her features as she paused. "I get to have a little fun," she stated, watching as a few of the Day Class students shivered.

She began the countdown, beginning with one, and immediately more than half of the students had dispersed. When she reached three, there were now only a handful of students, rivaling the number of the Night Class students. By the time she reached four, there were none left. With a satisfied nod, she crossed her arms against her chest. Sometimes it was good to be feared as a prefect, students often did not go against your word. It was probably the only thing Shizuka liked about the job. Everything else was pretty much a bore and more work than it was worth. She then turned her attention back to the night class. She could see that some of them were still a bit shaken. She didn't blame them really.

Why wouldn't they be? Something unknown, something different, had torn their classmates apart without so much as a blink. This much she knew because she was the one who did so. For a split second, regret could be seen through her eyes. She regretted what happened, not because she was the cause of so many deaths, but because she could have prevented it. Prevented it by not being at this school to begin with. The only reason why she was here was because of her mother. It was her last wish before she entered her hibernation. And it was only recently that she learned that her mother was now dead. Didn't that mean she no longer had an obligation to stay here? She sighed as she returned to her usual straight face. She'd contemplate on that later.

"Is there a reason why you are all standing around and not in your class?" she stated towards the Night Class. "The path is clear, I suggest you get a move on," she continued, placing a hand on her hip in the process. The sooner these vampires entered their class, the sooner she could do her patrols. Her eyes glanced towards the pure-blood who crawled underneath her skin. She hated how everyone reacted to him, treating him as some kind of King more so than the self-proclaimed Noble King. Everything down to his scent irritated her and she could never understand why. Not that it mattered now, he was but a small speck in her eye now. There were things that required her attention and her focus. He wasn't worth the time or day now.

The words that man had stated were still echoing through her mind. He spoke of her fulfilling a purpose. What purpose? It was apparent he knew who she was, what she was, but that did not calm her senses. There was only one way he could have known, and that was that he was responsible for her mother's death. Somehow, she was angered by this fact, and she clenched her fists tightly. If it was the last thing she did, she would make sure he paid. He was right about one thing, she would seek him, but not for the purpose he had spoken of. She would seek him out to put an end to him.

”Those eyes looking at me with such resistance. It only makes me want to see you fall into oblivion.”

How predictable. How boring as well. A few smiles, waves, greetings and acknowledgements, the humans gravel for more with such great adoration and fervor. This kind of behavior was rather repetitive. Although, there was a bit of a difference as time passes by. These humans had grown bolder in their show of admiration and unrelenting affection which stemmed from superficial understanding and highly-imaginative conclusions. So at first, it was amusing but then like as always a charm was never everlasting. Nothing was for the pure-blood who had seen and lived through millenniums. His smile of intrigue soon faded into his usual neutral expression while Cassandra and Pelus prepared themselves to handle the crowd.

Yet, there was no need for them to do so. Their dutiful prefect took care of the high-strung teenagers in terms of their meaningless fantasies. Yes, the very essence that caused disarray within the night class was the source of Cassandra's subtle insecurity. This red-haired woman who dare look at them especially towards the Supremo with such defiance truly irritates the one known as Milady. There was nothing which the prefect could be proud of about herself or to present any accomplishments of hers alone. In the end, the prefect had always been in the mercy of others. She had always been chained to the pity and kindness of people. The girl was a leech in every sense. This prefect acted like nothing wrong had happened if it was not for Supremo, this beast would have been a science experiment in a morgue.

Pelus noticed Cassandra's apprehension of the prefect. Although, the servant was very keen on hiding such feelings effectively. The familiar simply did not say anything and remained a visage of emptiness. There was not a frown, irritation, concern, neutrality, or interest across those purple eyes and handsome face of his. He wore a blank mask for everyone to see. But, it does not mean he is unaware of other people's intentions and emotions. As such, he could sense his Master's spark of interest. His eyes lingered on the prefect who now sported a certain mark on her neck which was the probable cause. This specific symbol was that of a binding contract. But as to who, there was still an uncertainty for the mystical and shape-shifting familiar.

In the case of the pure-blood, those red eyes simply glanced at the day class students who were clamoring for his attention. As for the night class, he hardly cared for them. Indeed, they were still shaken and clinging for their pride to stay here. It was not the pure-blood's responsibility to provide them a sense of peace and Rien has no intentions whatsoever to do such a thing. Soon, his eyes fall on the prefect who was threatening the humans to return to the caves they belong to. Well, the pure-blood did not stay any longer than he has to. As for the fact about the binding mark, he was a bit amused to see the prefect see how futile her attempts to state she was at nobody's mercy. When, nothing could be father from the truth.

With that thought, Rien made his way towards the Main Building. The place where such a bloody scene had occurred. Of course, he knew that everything had been cleaned up and returned to an illusion of normalcy. After all, the human students were not to know about this or the existence of his kind. How trivial. In any case, he did not stay to hear the prefects useless soliloquy. The girl in the end was at best a nuisance much like a fly to him. Pelus seeing the departure of his Master followed as usual. Everything was normal for his Master and nothing was out of ordinary for the pure-blood. After all, things had always been such a recurring theme and matter. Nothing was original anymore.

It was not the same for Cassandra. She is usually a timid one and known for her proper demeanor. But right now, those indigo-blue eyes gazed at the profile of the red-haired prefect. This girl was able to elicit even a whim from her Master. Even with the blood she had taken from the pure-blood, she was still not satiated about this feeling of insecurity and jealousy fueled by that small action of mercy given to the prefect. This is the main reason why the rest of the night class did not follow the departing form of Supremo and Pelus. They believed that Cassandra was more reasonable and kind than the other two who went ahead without much of care. That is why, they stayed behind for the Milady.

"Yes, there is." Milady started as she did not avert those eyes of hers from the prefect. Her hair of ashen silver was gently blown by the cool yet light breeze. She was truly a beautiful sight and something unique for many eyes. The white uniform only exude her mocha brown complexion to a wonderful tint. "Thank you for your assistance." Cassandra gave a small nod before gesturing for the others to take their leave in which they followed willingly. As for her, she lingered for a bit longer. It was not obvious to her the distaste of the prefect towards the vampires. At the same time, she was aware of that mark on her neck. "Extend my greetings to your master." She noted without much of a change in her neutral expression which was betrayed by the words she expressed.

She pointed at the prefect's neck and then finally took her leave. There was a small smile upon her lips which quickly disappeared as she quicken her pace to catch up with Supremo and Pelus who went ahead. "I apologize for my tardiness." Cassandra stated upon finally reaching Supremo who was already standing within the main doors of the main building. Carmine red eyes gazed at her servant and simply turned his back at her and continued ahead. As for Pelus, he only looked at her in which Milady only released a small sigh and gestured to the prefect not to be concerned. In reality, Pelus was not concerned at all as he also followed the pure-blood and so did Cassandra.

"There is always more to us than what is seen. It is why they say never judge a book by it's cover. The outside may be appeasing, but it's the inside that you should be wary of."

The pure-blood said nothing, something Shizuka was silently grateful for. She truly wasn't in the mood for any retorts or statements that might cause her anger to overcome her. She had restraint, but those shackles were slowly being loosened to where she wasn't sure when they might break. She watched as he left before her eyes returned to the small group that lingered behind. Mahogany met blue as the one known as Milady stayed behind. She seemed to have addressed the group of vampires, Shizuka wasn't particularly paying attention, as they left, leaving only her behind. Shizuka stared with a bored expression. She had nothing against this woman, and as such, she could tolerate her a bit more than the others, however; the first set of words were slowly scratching away that tolerance. The last statement was the last straw though.

"I have no master," she gritted through her teeth. Her eyes narrowed dangerously at the woman before she was out of sight. Clenching her fists tightly, Shizuka walked off. She didn't want to do anything in front of the Academy that would draw attention. Instead, she walked along a hidden path that only she knew of. Along the way, she released her frustration. Her fist connected with a tree, breaking the defenseless item in half as it fell. Her body shuddered from the impact, but it wasn't something she cared for. Her hand covered the mark on her neck as the woman's words echoed through her mind. Master. She was no ones servant, no ones slave. For a brief moment, sadness lingered in her eyes.

She would be lying to herself if she truly believed that. She was someone's slave, however; that person no longer existed. She would allow only him to be her master, her owner, hers alone. Her hand fell to her side as she took a deep breath, calming her senses in the process. She glanced up towards the moon, watching as the clouds rolled by. Somehow, it was beautiful. It reminded her of his eyes, the way they were always so bright and full of something. She wondered when it had happened that she had felt so lost without him. She grew up with him, loved him from the moment she saw him, and yet, here she was alone without him.

She shook her head, dispersing the thoughts in the process. When had she loathed his kind so much then? She had loved him, and he was a pure-blood. She would never forget that night he perished though, and she never once stopped blaming herself for it. He would still be alive if her father had never discovered her secret, if he hadn't discovered something else that terrified him so. It was no secret that when her father tried to kill her, the fear was evident behind his silver eyes. She did not blame him though. Who wouldn't be afraid of something different? She would be lying if she said there were things she did not fear. In truth, there were a lot of things she feared. Most of it dealing with what she was. She sighed, releasing her clenched fists in the process.

"Judai, what do I do?" she questioned, slumping against the tree that she had just destroyed a few seconds ago. She buried her head in her knee's as she brought them up to her chest. This was the first time she ever allowed herself to be vulnerable. Only in her own company away from others. Should anyone ever see her like this, they wouldn't fear her, or they would try to do something they would regret later. To be vulnerable was to let someone in, and to let someone in was to trust them. She had only ever did that with her family. Something stung at the back of her mind as she winced slightly. She took a deep breath before turning her attention behind her. A light breeze tumbled through the air, bringing a faint scent along with it.

The smell, it was like that of freshly mowed grass and morning dew. It was odd in a sense really, however; she found it fairly pleasant. As soon as it appeared though, it was gone. The rustling of the grass caused Shizuka to snap her head in the direction it came from. Immediately, she was upon the intruder to her sanctuary, however; it caught her completely off guard. It was just a cat. A small, tiny, defenseless kitten. The expression that crossed Shizuka's face was one that should never be seen. Her eyes sparkled as a smile played at her lips, a light blush highlighting her cheeks. One would think that due to her heritage, she would despise cats. This, was far from the truth. She adored them, and this one was no exception. She watched as it meowed at her, it's amber eyes shining with such adoration it should be considered evil to look so cute.

Shizuka narrowed her eyes as she glanced around, making sure that no one was around before the bright smile played at her lips again. She grabbed a draw piece of grass, similar to looking like a strand of wheat, and wiggled it in front of the kitten. She watched as it pawed at it and attempted to play with it. This would be her downfall if anything. Glancing around once more, she picked up the kitten and laced a single digit around it's head, listening to the soft purring sound it elicited in response. She then stuffed it inside the front of her shirt, allowing it's head to peak out as it meowed in appreciation. She was going to keep this kitten for now. After all, dangerous things were lurking about and could try to make a meal out of the ador-- creature. "You will tell no one of this," she spoke in a hushed voice to the kitten, earning a nod of understanding from the cat.

"I will name you," she paused, searching her thoughts for a proper name before one presented itself to her. "Irihi" she stated. The kitten meowed in satisfaction.

”Everything does indeed change, but the one thing which will not yield will be me.”

Another usual night for Rien, he was yet again in his usual location and position. The clean-up crew had done a fine job restoring everything into its pristine condition. Well they should, if not the secret of his kind living alongside humans will be exposed to a world who will never accept such a thing. Although, he truly did not care either way. For in the end, it does not scratch the surface of his concern. In any case, there was a bit of a change in this classroom. It was not as lively as it had been last night. Now, everything was in a frightening stillness. It seemed that they were fearful that they will be attacked by that beast. This was understandable but, he truly could careless about such mundane matters.

For the pure-blood, the wine and flowing pink petals were far more important than anything else. As such, he was once more lounging around with Cassandra serving him once more soothing rice wine. As for Pelus, the familiar remained in his seat with his usual neutral expression. There had been no orders nor any kind of distortions in any part of the academy. Although, he would need to hasten his search at the request of the Milady. It is true that his Master was the mysterious pure-blood but, Milady was very prone to do troublesome things which he does not like his Creator to be burdened with.

The sole purpose for attending Cross Academy was to... "Pelus." The familiar looked as his amethyst eyes met with indigo-blue. It seemed that the Milady has something to ask of him or an order from Supremo. "Go." He knew what that mean but to confirm this, he looked at the pure-blood who was looking out of the window. It seemed the Supremo was watching once more the falling pink petals. As if noticing Pelus, the pure-blood simply raised his free hand and gestured for the familiar to depart. It was then Pelus gave a nod of acknowledgement and went out of the room.

No one intervened or stopped the familiar from leaving even the homeroom teacher. It would be useless to do so. At the same time, no one really had the audacity to complain directly to the one they all call Supremo. As for the pure-blood. he continued his drinking session as the class lectures continued on. He was not even listening to it from the very beginning. It was not he was bored or it was useless. The fact is that he had learned and experienced all that had been taught at some pint of his life. There was no need for him to listen to things he had already knew about. As it goes, nothing truly sparks the pure-blood's interest.

Yet, this was not entirely true. It is because Rien had come to Cross Academy with an intention which brought much concerned to him. What could it possibly be? It was something that only him, his servant, and his familiar knew very well. Other matters which shrouds this Academy, they were nothing more but mere passing whispers to him. Perceived masterminds who intend to wrap this school and everyone inside a globe of lingering darkness. He will allow them to do so as long as it will be placed on him at a personal aspect nor will it interfere with his goal. That is all.

Just like that, the night continued on while Pelus walked along the silent hallways. Following such subtle hunches and trails which would lead him to the most desired goal of his Master. However, he stopped midway and reached to touch his face. This visage, this skin, these memories and feelings. They all belonged to that person which his Master truly cared for. But, there was also that other matter. Closing his eyes, he began to walk and when he was to turn a corner. His physicality was no longer of the handsome black-haired man with beautiful amethyst eyes. Instead, he now wears the skin and appearance of another. Now, he donned silver-white hair and rather pale lavender eyes. Someone fairly important to a certain prefect.

"This scent, this face, it all screams you. I see you, but I know it's not you. You were lost to me so very long ago."

Irihi had managed to squirm out of Shizuka's front shirt and was now laying sprawled atop her head. She didn't mind the new accessory and merely walked around as if there were nothing wrong. Of course, she was out in the forest still doing her duty as a prefect. The irritation and anger had subsided and she was feeling better. Whether it was due to Irihi or not, she wasn't going to say. All that mattered to her was that she was calm, and her face reflected it. As she walked, there was a strange scent in the air. It was the scent of fresh rain again. She knew that scent, and immediately her eyes were narrowed dangerously as she searched for the one responsible for emitting such a thing.

She found him no where, however; she kept her guard up. Every time that scent lingered in the air, she always found herself facing that man. The blonde haired man who bit her and chained her to him. She rubbed at her neck, a red mark forming in the process as the irritation once again settled in. She released her neck as the Academy came into view. As odd as it seemed, underneath the moonlight, the Academy seemed almost...beautiful. Even with the partial of it being slightly renovated, thanks to her, there was still an ethereal beauty it cast. Shaking her head, she proceeded to walk through the gates before making her way inside the Academy.

She would do one more round inside before she retired to bed. She wasn't tired at all, instead being the opposite. She felt restless and wide-awake. It felt as if her body was adjusting for something. She couldn't tell what it was exactly, but she didn't mind it. She would need to be prepared for just about anything really, and the extra burst of energy that was coursing through her veins would prove useful should something happen. Although she highly doubted anything was going to happen at the moment since everyone was too afraid to leave their classroom. The Day Class students knew better than to leave their dormitory at night, and the Night Class now had something to fear at night.

In some twisted way, she had made it a bit safe at the expense of the lives of others. Safe as in the vampires (most of them anyway) were too afraid to leave their room to venture out while the Day Class students merely had to deal with the prefect. There wouldn't be anyone left really to disobey the rules. Somehow, this only brought a sad smile to Shizuka's face. Irihi glanced down, meowing softly to capture Shizuka's attention as she shifted her eyes towards the white kitten. The smile released itself from her face as she removed the kitten from her head and held it in her arms. She scratched behind it's ear affectionately, eliciting a small purring sound in the process.

"Irihi," she stated, placing the kitten down so that it could follow her instead of being carried. Irihi merely smiled up and meowed happily. As she took a corner, something fairly sharp and familiar, entered her senses. This scent, she knew it all too well. But it's impossible for this scent to be here. How could it linger in the hallways? She had seen it with her own eyes, that night. That scent had disappeared that night and her mother had confirmed it. There was no possible way for this person to be here. But then again, there was another, peculiar scent overlapping with it. Without realizing it, her steps became quickened. She needed to find the one responsible for emitting such a perfume. It was then she spotted him.

"Ju...dai," the name rolled off of her tongue as if it were some fragile mirror that had shattered and was tethering on the edge of being destroyed more so. There, before her was the visage she had only seen when she was growing up. The one person whom she loved and would allow to chain her. He was the only one she would ever belong to, no one else. She took a hesitant step forward, almost as if she were not seeing clearly. The small hiss of Irihi was enough to snap Shizuka out of her illusion. Her eyes narrowed into thin slits as they darkened a shade. Whoever this person was, it wasn't him, it wasn't Judai. He had died long ago, protecting her.

"I do not know who you are, or why you are wearing that skin but," she stated, her voice darkening with every word. She didn't appreciate this stranger, whoever it was, wearing the face of the one she loved. More so, how was this person even able to replicate his face? She had always known the Leoght family to be very seclusive with very little contact with the outside world, let alone other pure-bloods or vampires in general. "Take it off," she demanded. She wouldn't allow his visage to be tainted by whoever this person was. Judai didn't deserve that. Her body was trembling now, anger seething through every pore of her body.

There was no way this person could truly be her beloved. She had witnessed his death, something that played over constantly in her mind, personally. She had been there to the very end, when both of their bodies caved in and shattered, however; the look, his eyes, they were something that would forever be burned inside of her mind. She hadn't stopped crying because of it. A part of her, it felt like, had died. She had never experienced anything so painful as that night he died. And she was used to the physical pain. This pain was something entirely different. It is why she never wanted to be with another, belong to another. The only thing that made it worse was this person who was before her now.

The man wearing her Judai.

”I know. This person is very important. I know it all.”

Pale lavender eyes looked to see the form of the prefect who was actually neither human nor a vampire. She seemed to have found him. Well, he did expect such a collision at some point. This was inevitable due to her role and due to the personage he now carries as his own. In the eyes of his earlier character, the prefect was admirable and pitiful in a way. As a familiar, he could careless about her existence. She much like a dust floating aimlessly in the wind, nothing significant. However in this guise, he could feel the emotions of affection, joy, and great concern. Yes, he knew the reason why.

"Shizuka." The voice, the way it was presented, how it would be delivered, it was all perfectly done. In an essence, Pelus becomes that person to every extent. The one thing different, he could still differentiate between who is he really meant to be at all cost. "Are you still blaming yourself?" It was not something which Pelus would ever say. Although, this would be what the person he is now would ask. Because at this very moment, he could such worry and sadness emitting from such precious memories. There are times, he would permit the identity of the person he chooses to be dominant in certain scenarios. This would probably be one of them.

Those eyes of his held a certain light of sadness. He slowly turned to face the prefect fully and then glanced at the white kitten who have become attached to the red-haired girl. Pelus watching from the sidelines what that kitten really is. Yet for now, it was fine to let it be. This was due to the fact, it was inconsequential to his Master's goal. Furthermore, this person, this Judai could hardly care about anything else at the moment. This other person inside of him was simply happy to see the prefect. Perhaps, this is what Milady was feeling towards their Master.

"It seems you are still weak against cats." After stating that, there was a small smile across his lips. It was barely noticeable and one could even miss it if they were not paying attention. "I'm glad." He returned his attention to the girl before him who was insulted and angered by him donning such a persona. However, it cannot be the said as not Judai. For in the end, Pelus is still limited by the character he choose to be. "Forgive me. In the end, I couldn't say the words I really wanted to tell you." He walked towards her and slowly raised his hand touch her face. However, he stopped midway and slowly took back his hand. His eyes lowered as he looked at the ground. In the end, he still couldn't do it. For he knew, it will only bring more grief to her.

Taking a step back, he looked at her with a sad smile. "I can't stay too long. But, I'm very happy to see you again, Shizuka." With that said, he turned his back at her and walked away. Of course, his scent, his presence, and even his form soon disappeared out of thin much like a ghost could do. As for the true Pelus, he pushed Judai's personality into the dark recesses of his mind. The man was somewhat similar to his Master. Perhaps, that is why he allowed it to be dominant for a moment. However, he still has a goal to do. So for now, this will be the ending of that meeting.

"Blame, guilt, it is my burden to carry and I shall until the day I die."

Her eyes never wavered. They remained firm as she stared at the one in front of her. Every thing about him screamed Judai, her precious person, but it wasn't him. She refused to believe it was, however; his statement caught her off guard. She took a hesitant step back, a flash of emotion going through her eyes in the process. The anger receeded back into her as her body calmed itself. Still blamed herself? Yes, she did. It was her fault that she caused his death. If she hadn't been this creature, this monster, then Judai would still be alive. So would her father and mother. Every thing was her fault, and she had grown to accept that. She glanced down at Irihi at his next statement. Cats.

Of course, he would know of her weakness towards the feline creatures. He was the reason why she liked the felines in the first place. She had never told him that of course, but still. This person it seemed, retained all of Judai's memories, and for a moment, Shizuka had a spark of hope that this person was truly her beloved. That, however, was pushed away because she knew the truth. And the truth hurt more than this false reality of hers at the moment. She took another step back when Judai approached her, hand raised in the process. She was relieved when he stopped and pulled his hand back. Something flashed behind her mahogany eyes when he apologized and asked her to forgive him.

Those words, the ones that she had never heard him speak. It caused a slight pain inside her heart, something she couldn't understand why. This person who was wearing the appearance of her Judai was saying things that only he would have known, things that were exclusive to only him. It is why this fear of it being truly him kept creeping within Shizuka. He then stated that he was happy to have seen her again, and that was the last straw to her resolve. Her legs gave out from beneath her as he disappeared, scent and all. Irihi mewled softly as he rubbed against Shizuka's legs, trying to bring a sense of comfort to her. She merely stayed in her position.

She didn't care if someone came and stumbled upon her in such a state. She appeared vulnerable, broken, and most of all, sadness lingered behind her eyes. If someone were to stumble upon the prefect now, they wouldn't believe it was the same person. Their prefect, the one who only smiled when she was with her friends, who only appeared to be hardened to the point she was no longer capable of crying, would appear as a completely different person to them. She was distressed, and the one responsible was no longer around. She was confused, and she was scared. For the first time in a while, she was terrified. And she didn't know why.

She leaned up against the lockers, pulling her knee's to her chest as she buried her head in it. Her heart was beating radically and she couldn't stop it. Why, of all people did she have to see him? She was fine having his memories, but to physically see him after so many years; it was painful. It was suffocating and she couldn't breathe. Her breathing was becoming irregular and sh couldn't calm it down. Instead, she stood from her spot and did the only thing she could. She ran. She made it outside of the main building and found a tree to lean against. She slid down the bark as she tried to calm herself.

She hated this feeling. This feeling of not being able to breathe, not being able to control her emotions, not being able to do anything. She felt helpless, and it was something she hated. She didn't want to be helpless, she wanted to be useful, to have a purpose to something or someone. Even though she might have been the way she was, she was still human in a sense. The only thing she could do now to relieve herself of these emotions, was to release them. And she did the only way she knew how. She cried into her knee's. She would never admit to it, but she truly was helpless. And she wouldn't let herself ask for help.

”I had always been searching and searching until now...”

Pelus appeared at some empty corridor. He was now back to his form the one known to his Master as Tous. He only wore Judai's persona for he had wanted to gather information about the beast which was the female prefect. He simply wanted to confirm something and that was very effective if he did say so himself. Deep mauve eyes looked out the window near him. There he saw the prefect running away from the main building. However, that is not what caught the familiar's attention. It was the tears that made a trail of sparkling crystals. The reaction was completely normal. To see someone you care again even when you knew they are supposedly lost, they will arise certain emotions which one would have thought to be forgotten.

However, Pelus also discovered something else. There was no certainty in this. He would need more time to determine. Still, he had already transmitted this knowledge to his Master. It was not difficult for in the end he is the pure-blood's familiar no matter what. His core existence will always belong to the pure-blood's will. Turning his back from the window, he continued to walk along the empty hallways. As he had concluded earlier, there was still room for doubt in what he had found in relation to his Master's goal. He will still need to make sure although, Milady will not be pleased about it in any way. Well, she really cannot do anything about it. For in the end, it will be his Master's decision.

Rien who was silently watching the petals fall as always, closed his eyes for a brief moment. There was something he would need to confirm by himself. As those carmine red eyes were seen again, he handed the empty wine cup to Cassandra who took it. "Stay here." He simply stated as he stood from his seat in which earned the many curious looks from the other night class students. Cassandra stood as well and looked at him with confusion. Why would he need to go? Why does she have to stay here? "Supremo, I don't think that--" She was not able to continue her words for the pure-blood silenced her with one piercing gaze. She knew well not to go against her Master. "I-- As you wish."

Noticing the rather defeated look on her face, Rien grabbed hold some of Cassandra's silvery locks and placed a kiss upon it. The other night class students blushed at the sight and cannot help but conclude that the two were an item. Of course, this gesture made Cassandra blush so furiously which made her look like a tomato. The pure-blood had a ghost-like smirk before turning his back and left the classroom to attend to his personal matter of conviction and belief. It had been far too long since he had finally found a clue to his goal for coming to this school full of intrigues and deceit. Even if they were for good intentions, the pure-blood knew well this will lead to more lies. It had always been like that ever since this world began.

Walking along the hallways, he exited the main building for he already had a destination in mind. His steps were firm and confident. There was not an ounce of hesitation in his movements. Soon, his crimson red eyes finally found the form of red-haired prefect. She was in a fetal position denoting her vulnerability. The girl who had last night massacred a great deal of vampires and even killed a human in the process showed such weakness and fragility. Well, it was to be expected from what he had learned from Pelus. Furthermore, nothing which has life was truly strong. There will always be a specific thing which will be one's weakness. Though, he would not admit it openly. He also has one.

"How quickly you have fallen." Rien started as he approached the prefect's form. "So, you will whimper a like a whipped dog." He then finally stopped before her as those red eyes of his looked down on her. Cries, he could hear them well. At the same time, he could also sense eyes of others. Although, he could care less about it. He was not going to be involved in their schemes and if they would try. They will experience how futile that was from the beginning. He transferred his attention to the pink petals falling around them. It was taken by the evening breeze as he caught some of it in his hands. "Truly beautiful."

"I give to you the only side not shown to the world. I do so not willingly."

Seclusion. Shizuka had left the building to find a secluded place to release the pent up emotions, especially the sudden influx of them after seeing him. Not only because of that, but the guilt of killing the one human from the previous night had been plaguing her ever since. So here she was, out in the open showing a weakness to the world. The droplets of water strolled down her face like a river, unwavering and unstoppable. Irihi merely stayed in his spot, trying his best to console the girl as much as a kitten of his form could do. He had curled up inside of her lap as his fur was stained with the tears that fell. He did not understand why his master was so adamant, however; he wasn't going to start questioning him now. For the time being, he will try to provide solace to the red-haired girl.

And as such, she wasn't even aware of the fact that the one person she did not want near her, was before her. The words he spoke echoed through her ears like thunder. Fallen? She had fallen? Because she was crying, trying to release the emotions that were building up inside of her? If that meant she had fallen, then she has fallen countless times already. She buried her head further into her knee's trying to ignore the man's presence as much as she could. But everything about him was annoyingly loud. His voice, his scent, everything. She hated it as much as she hated the feeling of being useless. All she knew at the moment though, was that she didn't want him to be here. His next statement caused a painful clench to her heart.

She glanced up from her position, the tears still threatening the sides of her eyes as her face was flushed from the overwhelming emotions. She was not whimpering like a whipped dog. She was trying to deal with what she had seen, what she had heard, and this was the only way she knew how. She wasn't exactly taught how to properly express her emotions. Her family was not inclined to teach her about something that they themselves hardly had use for. Whatever the reason, his words only succeeded in adding anger to the mix of emotions. But it did not reflect upon her face. The anger was not directed at him, as much as she wanted it to be, but at herself.

"Is it wrong of me to express myself this way? Should I not cry when I feel sad, should I not shout when I feel angry, smile when I am happy?" she retorted. She wiped her eyes with the back of her sleeve, trying to contain herself. "Am I not allowed to be expressive in any way?" she continued. She met his eyes before he turned to stare at the falling cherry blossoms. He muttered something about truly beautiful, and she could only turn her head away from him. The tears had finally stopped and instead, a placid appearance forced its way to her face. She did not want to cry in his presence any longer. He had seen a part of her that she never wanted anyone to know of. Because that would mean that they would have seen a vulnerable part of her. And she wasn't vulnerable...or so she could try to lie to herself.

"Is there a reason why you are here? Or are you just here to rub salt into an open wound?" she questioned, finally standing from her spot and dusting off her skirt. He truly had no reason to be here other than to insult her again. And if he was here to insult her, well then she'd just leave him be. Getting kicked while you're down, as the saying goes, was not something she was particularly fond of being. She didn't need to hear anything from him truly. As stubborn as she was, there was still something keeping her anchored to the spot. She could have left and left the pure-blood to his own devices, however; she couldn't quite get her feet to move. Instead, she remained in her spot.

She wouldn't ask for it, especially from him, however; she needed help. For what? To rid herself of this nightmare that was slowly encompassing her. To break this chain that had been placed upon her by that man who smelled of fresh rain. Her eyes reflected nothing of the sort, though, and she only glanced at the pure-blood. There was no malice, no defiance behind the mahogany irises. There was simply the question that had been stated and nothing more.

”How ironic. This twist in the story which will be a secret between us.”

It seemed the red-head prefect still has enough life in her. She was still feisty as ever. After all, she has much energy to retort to the words which he directed towards her existence. However, this was not he had found amusing. It was the white kitten on her lap. This was not a well-known fact. However, the pure-blood had a weakness for cute things and the little feline was one of that. Of course, this was hidden perfectly and was overlapped by the sense of knowing. He knew well the kitten was not as it seemed to be. In the end, he was not easily fooled like the female prefect before him. Yet, he will still admit not openly though. The kitten was adorable. He might do some knitting on the side a little while.

In any case, he looked at the pink petals which he had caught on his hand. To him, they were the very symbol of what he could define as beautiful. Although, there was of course a more deeper meaning to his preference for the Cherry Blossoms. Yet, this will be told or explained on some other time. As the red-haired frustratingly stated her answer to his so-called insults, he remained still and awfully calm. There was nothing wrong with expressing herself. However, it would have been more effective in front of a crowd. Now, that is what it is called of expressing. As for her, she was hiding in seclusion. In the end, she was not really showing her feelings. But, this was a start.

"Your words would mean more if you show it to someone else." He stated as he looked at her from the side. Those carmine red eyes held amusement and also a great sense of boredom. The pure-blood was still as uninterested as ever. but if that was so, why did he come here in the first place. "That is why I am here. A secret just between us." A small smile could be seen on his lips although, it could be described as a mere trick. Because within a blink, his face was once more in a neutral state. It was then she stood from her position and seemed to have finally stopped from crying. She was once more holding a strong front.

However, what had been seen was now forever engraved in the memories. The girl was once more raising a question to him. He found that a bit odd. Normally, the prefect would have simply left without another word. But then again, she had always been very defiant in all of their encounters. Perhaps, there was truth in Pelus' information. This time he had finally found his goal. Of course, he will need to make more concrete evidence. After all, he did not want a misunderstanding and his efforts be wasted entirely. He dislikes that very much. Speaking of which, there was also the lack of malice and her rebellious streak in that eyes of hers.

"Although, I like to see you squirm but I prefer doing it when you are tall and proud." Yes, he has a dangerous streak of being uncaring towards others. He is also unsympathetic to the plight of others. The pure-blood was also unconcerned about matters which does not involve himself personally. However, he is honorable in terms of fights and battles which people challenges him into which could be said about the result of what he did to the prefect's split personality. As a result, it made Cassandra rather jealous. Gazing at the falling pink petals once more, he handed to the prefect the petals he had caught earlier. "I want to share an umbrella with you."

If anyone had heard that, they would have concluded that the pure-blood was sick for saying such an incomprehensible thing. It was not even raining but then again, slowly water droplets descend from the sky. Soon, it had become rain as it covered the entire grounds of Cross Academy. He pulled out an umbrella and placed it above him. There had been also certain sayings where sharing an umbrella meant to be done by couples. Well, this is what other people say. "Shall we?" He reached out his other hand for her to hold. This was truly quite different from the perceived cold and distant Vice-Leader of the Night Class. But then again, he does show concern towards his subordinates mainly, Cassandra and Pelus.

"Of course, I won't force you." The pure-blood stated as he then directed his eyes on the falling rain. It was quite a downpour as the sceneries had become like a haze. Of course, his eyes were not of a human. So, there was no problem for his sense of sight. "I don't want to see the kitten wet or the petals I gave to you." Well, he seemed still a bit arrogant as he did not show any concern if the prefect was to get wet or not. His eyes then linger on the mark on her neck. Yes, the one for servitude. "So, shall we share another secret with each other?" This time, he had an amused smile on his lips for her to see. Underneath the rain, he was indeed a vision of ethereal beauty. Now, the next event will determine his decision. Oh, yes a decision which will change everything.

"I despise secrets, but still, there are times when secrets are necessary. Sharing them with another though, is a different story. One I am not so sure of."

"Someone else? Is that why you are here, to witness," she stated as she furrowed her brows. That answer was quickly confirmed, however, his following words caused her to raise a confused eyebrow. A secret... between them? What would be a secret, her tears? The fact that she had cried in front of someone? She resisted the urge to glare, and instead listened as he continued to speak. He then placed a few of the cherry blossom petals in her hand, which confused her more. She glanced at them, studying them as if they held some purpose, but there was none. Cherry blossoms did not hold a significant purpose to her, but apparently it was just an odd gesture on the pure-blood's part. She let the petals linger in her hand as she returned her attention to the blonde. Her lips pursed into a fine line at his next statement as she felt her face stiffen. Tall and proud, that was his reasoning to see her squirm.

She knitted her eyebrows together at the statement. It appeared this pure-blood enjoyed getting under people's skin, however; for her, it was a constant thing. It was one of the reasons why she didn't like this pure-blood. Because he could do so, so easily. Even now, he was starting to scratch the surface of her patience. All of the sudden irritation was washed away by a simple statement. Rain, faint, but still lingering in the air, caused Shizuka to glance up towards the sky. Just as she did, it appeared that the clouds released their hands and poured the held liquid down upon them. Slowly, she turned to face the pure-blood once more. He was holding an umbrella and holding his arm out to her, although he stated he would rather not see the kitten nor the petals he had just handed her to become wet.

"Water is their nourishment. It helps them grow and bloom beautifully. I see nothing wrong with the petals becoming wet," she stated. To emphasize it, she allowed the rain to mingle in her hand with the rain, however; she kept a firm grip on them so they wouldn't wash away with the sudden down pour. She then glanced at Irihi who was now shivering slightly from being assaulted by the rain. For a split second, her eyes softened as she picked the creature up, holding it so that her blazer provided some shelter from the rain that became torrential. Everything was becoming shrouded in a haze thanks to the blanket of rain, however; she could still see just fine. This was due to what she was. Much like the vampires, her eyesight was just as keen.

"I do not have any other secrets. You already know mine," she answered to his question. She had witnessed partial images when she had awoken for a few minutes inside the beast. He was the first thing she saw. What else did she have to hide? There was nothing besides the fact that she wasn't human, nor was she vampire. A being completely different that took upon the form of a wolf. It was like a bad fairy-tale really. She stared at his offered hand. He had just spoken of sharing an umbrella with her, however; she didn't mind the rain. She wouldn't mind being soaked in it, cleansed by it. So it confused her greatly when she hesitantly took his hand. Why, she didn't know. Perhaps this was her own way of asking for help, or perhaps there was another reason. Whatever it was, even though she took his hand, it was tense.

Contact with another person was something she didn't particularly like, especially when it was someone who wasn't her friend. She had to resist the urge to pull her hand away. The initial contact was strange though, and his hand felt...odd. The thought did not linger as an amused smile played at the pure-blood's lips. She frowned as her eyes narrowed slightly. She didn't trust this pure-blood at all. She didn't like the way a sneaking suspicion was crawling through her that he was just toying with her, trying to get her to break before he devoured her in some twisted way. Perhaps that was her own thoughts tugging at the recess corners of her mind. She wasn't trusting this pure-blood any more than she should. He was displaying something other than his usual façade, and it was more than enough for her to be wary of him.

Irihi merely mewled to show his appreciation of being out of the rain, and was now shielded between an umbrella, and a jacket. She glanced at Irihi as he rubbed against her cheek affectionately. She allowed the kitten to do as it pleased as she glanced around the vicinity. Perhaps this was why the smell of fresh rain had lingered in the air a moment ago. She couldn't differentiate between when it was going to rain, and if it was the scent of that man. With the two being so close together, determining the difference was going to be a bit difficult. She pushed the thoughts away as she turned to stare at the carmine red eyes of the person beside her whose hand she still held. This night was truly becoming odd in every sense of the word to Shizuka.

”As the rain falls, let everything be covered in the haze of a fleeting dream.”

The girl resembles much like a rebellious and spoiled child before him. She will always take an opportunity to rebuke his preferences in one way or another even if there was no merit in it. Now, where was the harm of treating her as such when she undoubtedly acts like one. Furthermore to prove her point, she had allowed the petals which he gave her to mingle with the rain. Although, she did not allow it to be taken away from her grasp. She claimed that water was their nourishment. There is truth to that however, there was one thing flawed in her logic. "You forget these petals can no longer bloom." His eyes looked at the ground where the pink petals were now being washed away by the steady rainfall.

It was then he felt his hand had been taken finally. He looked at their hands now together. Well, it was a bit lackluster. He had expected more fight from her in such regards. So, there was a tad bit of disappointment there. It was not much of concern though to make him be bothered entirely. His eyes soon met those mahogany irises which narrowed at him. Yes, she was awfully wary of him which should be normal. In the end, they were two beings in a wholly different spectrum. It would be peculiar if she was not. He would be considering that she had a head trauma if she had acted differently. His smile only remained to irritate the girl as he finally enclosed his hand around hers.

There was the sensation he had been looking for. So, there was now more little room to doubt. He diverted his eyes from her form and looked ahead of them. In any case, he had gently pulled the girl away as they began their walk under the rain. They were a bit closer to each other as the umbrella was not the big to start with. It was enough for their arms to collide with each other on certain intervals. Of course, the pure-blood was not concerned about such contact. These things were very trivial to him. More than that, he recalled her answer that she had no other secrets to share. It would appear she was able to think as herself other than being a beast. Yet, it was not enough. "I suggest to keep that earring of yours not broken."

His carmine red eyes glanced at her with its usual haughtiness and interlacing boredom. Soon, it fell on the rhombus-shaped earring which he had restored to contain her other self. Somehow, it reminds him of a certain human-conjured character. Well, in terms of how she acts in such a form. Perhaps, he shall give her some reading materials about that. "I might not fix it again." With those simple words, it was heavily implied that he was the one responsible for stopping her rampage. After stating that, he returned his eyes to the front. Her secret is meant to change the position the vampires and humans hold in this world. He had no qualms about that. Actually, he finds it intriguing to watch. For in the end, he will not allow himself to be embroiled in such matters disconnected to him.

Just like that, the walk was silent and unassuming. The pure-blood only shattered it when he noticed the red-haired prefect staring at him as if he had grown another head in the process. "Have you fallen in love with me?" There was an amused smile on his lips once more before he looked to her from the sides. Those crimson eyes seemed to glow underneath the cloud of darkness and rain. Of course, this was a mere illusion of specific lighting and ambiance. In addition, his words were simply said to rouse the girl in her usual state before him. The feisty and violent girl who knew no better. "Or do you want my aid with that?" Stopping from their walk, he placed the hand which he held at the side of his neck.

From that position, she could feel the beating of his pulse. How stable. How calm. How warm. He continued to pin her hand on that location while he leaned his face closed to hers. Once, the only distance between their lips was a hairbreadth. He released her hand and then he began to trace the mark at the crook of her neck which binds her to a certain individual. His touch was rather light, feathery, and had a sensual edge to it. Although, this was perfectly normal for him. "There is a way to be free which requires a pure-blood." His breath was warm and tickling. Of course, it smelled on the sake he drank, but it had sweet tinge to it. Those carmine red eyes held a hypnotizing light as he continued tracing her mark with his fingers.

"But it requires trust for both parties involved." He then lowered his face as if about to kiss her. However, he stopped and instead moved towards her ear. His next words were delivered in such a manner of how a lover would do. "Because it means, you will always be connected." After stating that, he removed himself from her and straightened his posture. It was like what he had been doing to her was nothing much of a big deal or none of that ever occurred. He then noticed a pair of eyes watching them. It was someone familiar to him very much. At the same time, it seemed the rain had finally stopped. "I guess time is up."

Removing the umbrella shielding them, he looked a the moon which was slowly revealing itself from the dark clouds drifting away. There was something comforting in such a cold light. The moon which only cast off a false light. Even then, it allures everyone to its mysterious radiance which could be said the same about the blonde pure-blood known to many as Supremo. "You know where to find me." That was all he stated as he walked ahead of the red-haired prefect. There before him was Cassandra waiting patiently. The dark-skinned girl bowed as the pure-blood passed her. However, she did not fail to cast the prefect a glare before following after her Master.

"Master, why are you with her?" Cassandra asked when she was certain they were now far from the prefect. Rien allowed a few minutes of silence to reign before he proceeded to speak. "I found it." That was all he said as he continued ahead while Cassandra stopped in her tracks. Her eyes of indigo-blue widened in disbelief. What was wrong with this world? Why did it have to be that person? Biting her lower lip, she made a fist with her right hand while the visage of the pure-blood walking away slowly became but a haze in her vision.

"Troublesome. It is the only word befitting of such events and twisted irony."

She cast her gaze to her earrings, or as much as she could, when he mentioned to keep them intact. A frown marred her face at the statement. It wasn't her fault it was broken in the first place. That man had crushed it without warning and he was much faster than she was. That was what startled her that night. She was quick like a vampire, perhaps a noble, so it was the only thought that went through her mind was that he was a pure-blood. It would be the only explanation she had. She returned her attention towards the vampire once more. Fix it...again? So he was the reason why she had a new earring. Odd. That was truly odd in every sense. She remembered the first day she was given the earrings. They were disguised as a birthday gift, but she remembered that her father had been working diligently on them.

She had seen them before they were given to her. She hadn't minded though and wore them to please her family. She had ignored the way they would subtly touch due to how close they were walking together. It was due to the umbrella being a bit small. Not that she cared, she would have walked in the rain, but the soft purring from inside her jacket was the only reason why she wasn't. Irihi would get soaked if she let her stubbornness get the better of her, and she couldn't risk Irihi catching something because of it. She might act like she doesn't care, but she truly cares a lot for things. Some have noted it to be rather obsessive, but she never thought much about it. She was pulled from her thoughts when a single sentence left the pure-blood's mouth. She scoffed in response.

"Not everyone is in love with you," she stated, rolling her eyes in the process. She could see his amused smile and it only caused her to knit her brows together in annoyance. This man truly had a knack for irritating her greatly. She was still wondering why she was even holding the male's hand and speaking with him. This was by far their longest conversation they had ever had, and she wasn't keen as to where it was going. "It is not love when they look at you with such hungry eyes. They desire you, so they lust for you. These people are foolish," she added as she turned to meet his gaze. There was the defiance and annoyance lingering behind them again. She wasn't going to pretend what she knew what love was for everyone, and she didn't particularly care. But she wasn't exactly ignorant to not know the difference between lust and love.

She had been in love once, and even now she still was. There could never be another, and there never would be. She had decided upon that a long time ago. Whatever words that would have been stated, fell. He had spoken of aid, getting rid of the mark on her neck. Shizuka only furrowed her brows more before her eyes were set in a glare. He had placed her hand along his own neck where she could feel the steady beating of his heart. It felt odd against her hand and she wanted to remove it, however; he kept it pinned there. He then leaned in close to her face, something she didn't particularly like. He was too close for comfort, even as their lips were just a hairbreadth away, she had to resist the urge to bite him. She didn't like people close than what she had allowed, and this was getting far too deep into her personal bubble.

She was relieved when he pulled away and released her hand, however; the trickling sensation that assaulted her caused her face to twitch between the frown and a smile. He was touching the mark, or rather tracing it lightly, but the location of the mark was in the one spot that had been another of her weaknesses. As such, she had to bite back a laugh and keep herself from falling. She wouldn't admit it, but she was rather ticklish in that area. It is why a sigh of relief accidentally escaped her lips when he stopped. Her eyes then met his once more as he spoke of using a pure-blood to rid herself of the mark, but there was a catch. There was always a catch. Not only did both parties have to trust each other, but they would be forever connected. The smell of the sake overwhelmed her senses as he spoke those words.

The way he stated it though, caused a shiver to roll down her spine. She hated it. Either choice she had would still leave her bound to someone. It was either remain in servitude to the one who gave her the mark, or release the mark and forever be connected to another. The only remaining pure-blood in the school was him though. She had killed the blue-haired pure-blood and most of the class was only made up of Noble's and those on the lesser hierarchy. The rain finally let up as she turned to glance at the now empty sky. Time was up, or so he stated. She turned to face him once more. She truly hated this pure-blood, with everything she had.

Knew where to find him, he said. For what? Did he honestly believe that she would go to him for aide? She didn't miss the glare the silver-haired woman shot her, and she returned it ten-fold. She didn't particularly know the details behind the sudden change in demeanor for the silver-haired woman, but Shizuka didn't like it any less. She had no quarrel with the woman before, however; as of late the woman had been scratching at Shizuka's skin. And now, for the glare to be shot, Shizuka truly wondered if there was something wrong with the woman. Instead, she watched as they left before she huffed.

"Someone, somewhere hates me," she stated as she glanced down at Irihi who merely nodded in agreement. She sighed as a thought occurred. If both parties required trust between them, was he saying that he trusted her? She pursed her lips together in frustration. She gave him no reason to do so, and she didn't trust him at all. But then again...she didn't want to be at the mercy of that man who smelled of fresh rain. The words he spoke, they rang through her ears as if he were whispering them right now against her ears. She had to make a decision. Either way she was royally screwed. Either remain bound to that man, or create a connection with the one she despised. Choices were so easy to make now a days were they not?

"Irihi, I am about to make the most ludicrous decision in my entire life," she stated as Irihi merely tilted his head. So, she was going to do that. If he could smile, he would have, because he knew it would infuriate his master. Although he was required to intervene in any way possible, Irihi had other plans to go against his master. As such, he only remained in his spot as the red-haired prefect stalked through the hallways. She found the room she was looking for and almost ripped the door off. She ignored the gasps and whispers of the room, even the teacher who was a bit startled to see the prefect approach in such a way. Instead, her eyes narrowed in on the one she needed to find, and within a few strides, placed both of her palms against his seat and stared at those carmine red eyes she despised.

"Remove it," she demanded. There was no asking, after all, it was he who had offered. She was merely heeding the call.

”From now on, we have a bond which will never be broken.”

Sitting at the usual seat, the usual location, the usual setting, Rien had once more looked outside the window. The petals had ceased to fall as the winds subsided. Instead, he was greeted with the sight of seemingly glowing cherry blossoms tree. He liked seeing such a scene once in a while. It has a charm which cannot be denied. Like that, the class continued on with its calm yet wary atmosphere. After all, the gruesome event of slaughter just happened last night. However, what caught the pure-blood's attention was Cassandra. He noticed the fidgeting of his lovely assistant. It seemed she was bothered by the fact of him showing a certain lenience towards the red-haired prefect even more so now, his goal just needed a bit more confirmation.

"What eats you, Cassandra?" His tone was unassuming but at the same time did not carry any hint of concern. It was simply a question asked to address such tension. He did not even spare the girl a glance as he spoke. "Master, allow me to make it certain before you make another contact." So, this is what it was about. He was not oblivious to the girl's attachment and overly affection towards him. It was to be expected especially with the kind of relationship they truly have towards each other. "Jealousy does not suit you." He stated plainly while the corner of his lips was tilted upwards. This was truly amusing. It had been quite a long time since he had seen Cassandra jealous over someone.

Upon hearing this, Cassandra instantly blushes to a beet red. Lingering eyes of the spectators found such an expression wonderfully adorable. "That is not what--- I---" She stuttered like quivering infant. This notion was something that the pure-blood liked about her. She was not equipped to lie in front of him and that is what matters in the end. "Pelus will handle it." The said familiar now in the guise of the black-haired and violet-eyed debonair gave a nod of understanding. He had just returned to his Master's side after collecting information along the way. Moreover, all he had to do now was what they could call as final touches. However, the outcome was not favorable for Milady. Well, it cannot be helped.

Cassandra bit her lower lip in frustration and embarrassment. There was little she could do when in regards to the goal. This much she understood. But, she just can't take it that it had to be that beast of a prefect. Why can't it be another person? Anyone else can do just not that woman. She was already annoyed enough when Supremo showed a whim of a mercy towards the prefect last night. But, in the end... "As you wish, Supremo." With that said, silence reigned inside the classroom once more. The pure-blood looked at the wine cup filled with his favored rice wine. His side of the window was opened as a lone petal managed to reach the contents of his cup. An auspicious sign, they say which he could hear a mile away.

The doors were opened so suddenly which made the rest of the class and even the teachers in frantic fear. After all, the beast who attacked last night had a similar entrance. Pelus remained at ease and emotionless as ever while looking at the brash guest. As for Cassandra, her eyes narrowed in irritation. What did the prefect wanted this time? Did she not have already enough time with the pure-blood earlier? However, it would appear the red-haired girl ignored everyone else and stopped before the pure-blood's desk and slammed her hands down on it. Then, she stated her demand which made Cassandra more annoyed. "Please be more watchful of your tone. If---"

She was not able to continue her words as the addressed pure-blood raised a hand to gesture her not to talk anymore. In which Pelus acted also by placing a hand on Milady's shoulder. As such, Cassandra clenched her teeth in annoyance which was reflected by her indigo-blue eyes but remained silent. "Cassandra. Pelus." The pure-blood stated as he drank his wine cup and then handed it to Cassandra who took it as he met those mahogany irises of the prefect. "Stay here." Pelus nodded in complete compliance while Cassandra begrudgingly agreed. When that was done, he stood from his seat and made way to the exit while the rest of class watched in awe and complete fear.

Rien knew the prefect would follow him as such he walked along the empty hallways. Soon, he found a good spot which is a vacant room at some rarely ventured places around the academy. He gestured for the prefect to enter first and when she did, he followed suit. Of course, he locked it as well and sealed to ensure no interference. "Shall we?" He walked towards her and reached out his hand to her. Once, the prefect did. He traced her wrist with a finger which turned into a claw effectively creating a steady stream of blood flow. In response, he also bit the wrist of his other free hand in the process. As such, the room was now filled with the scent of their life liquid. One of sweetness, and one of disgust.

Once, it was done. He pressed their wrists together as if making a blood compact. Then, a circular symbol appeared underneath them which glowed eerily. "Time to seal the bond." He simply stated and without much a wink or even a warning he kissed the red-haired prefect while placing one of his hand on her back as he deepened the intimate act. Like that, the mark on her neck was gradually being erased. On the other hand, both of them were now feeling a searing heat on the portion where their hearts lay. Once, the pain disappeared. Rien released the prefect from the kiss and stepped away as well. He looked at his wrist which was now healing. Although, he licked the remaining blood trailing down much like a cat with much sensuality.

"We are now soul mates." Carmine red eyes looked at the prefect as he straightened himself and had an amused smile. Literally, they are now lovers. Now for the question and complaints, he readied himself for the prefect's query and bursting annoyance.

"You know the thing about dreams and nightmares? You wake up from them eventually. I don't know if I can wake up from this nightmare."

Shizuka's gaze shifted to the silver-haired woman who spoke before effectively ignoring her. She wasn't the one Shizuka came to see, therefore; there was no need to address the woman when she told her to watch her tone. Before the silver-haired woman could speak further, she was silenced by the pure-blood, whom Shizuka returned her attention to. She stood back as the pure-blood rose from his seat, her eyes never leaving his form before he left. She glanced over her shoulder at the one's he had addressed, Cassandra and Pelus, before following behind him. They roamed the empty halls until they appeared before a vacant room. Irihi jumped from his spot in Shizuka's shirt, the prefect momentarily forgetting about the white kitten, as she entered the room.

He followed after, and then asked a question after sealing the door behind him. She merely complied and gave him her hand when he reached out his own. His clawed finger drew a flow of blood from her wrist before biting into his own. This, this was an odd ritual. The smell that assaulted her senses was unpleasant and just horrid in general that she scrunched her nose at it. He then meshed their wrists together as a faint glow appeared beneath their feet. There was something eerie about it, however; she was unable to finish that thought when he mentioned sealing the bond. There was more? Of course there would be more, but that thought was effectively thrown from her mind at the sudden action of the pure-blood.

He kissed her. This effectively caused her eyes to widen in surprise and her face to flare just slightly. His hand placed behind her back caused the kiss to be deepened, however; she did nothing in return. She was merely too shocked and appalled to react. Then, there was a burning sensation along her chest, close to where her heart lay, and she winced slightly. The pain wasn't extreme, she was used to pain, but it was the suddenness of it all that had caught her off guard. Once the pain subsided, he released her from the kiss and licked his wrist. Shizuka merely stood there, un-moving as she tried to even out her breathing. What just happened? She hadn't expected that, not at all. It was truly something that had caught her way off guard and now, she was second guessing her decision.

"Wait... what?" she stated as she finally regained her senses. Soul mates... as in lovers? She frowned deeply, her eyes setting into a narrowed gaze in the process. "You said there would be a connection, not--" she began as she paced back and forth in the room. This couldn't be right. Sure she had expected some type of connection, but this was just... it was, there were no words for what this was. Finally, she stopped in front of the pure-blood, her eyes still narrowed. There was no way she was going to be his soul mate. She knew she was going to regret this, however; just how much, she hadn't expected it to be this much. There was nothing she could do now. She made that decision based on what little she had and because of her own selfish reasons.

"I refuse to be yours," she finally stated as she collected her thoughts. Annoyed would be putting it nicely. She wasn't annoyed, she was angered. Angered because of the fact that she had dug herself a deep hole and was now drowning in it. She should have stopped digging when she could have. Then, she wouldn't have found herself in this predicament. Then again, it was her own fault for agreeing to it in the first place. Still, this was something she truly wasn't expecting. A connection, she had thought it meant something along the lines of a sick and twisted bond, not becoming soul mates with him. The smile that plagued his lips only further caused the anger to rise. This was not amusing at all. This...it was torture for her. She was greatly disturbed by the notion, and as such, she rubbed her temples in frustration.

"This is just a nightmare. I am going to wake up and you'll be gone, the stupid mark, all of it. None of this ever happened. It is just a bad dream, a horrible, messed up dream," she stated, closing her eyes in the process. The words were spoken as if she were trying to convince herself that it was true. None of this was real and it was just karma's way of getting back at her for doing something in a past life. Or something of the cause. She was never bound to the man who smelled of fresh rain, she never asked for the pure-blood's help (more so demanded it than asked really), and this hellish nightmare was just that: a nightmare. When she opened her eyes, she would be in her dorm room, waking up to a new day, however; when she did open her eyes, she was still in the vacant room with him.

"I am going to regret this decision...am I not?" she stated finally allowing herself to come to terms with what had been done. Still, she wouldn't make it easy if that was the case. She did have a sudden urge to maim something though...

"Dreams, nightmares, visions, and what else you can call them, they are all but overrated.”

Well, Rien did expect a more heated response from her. The girl was becoming a tad bit disappointing in every sense. In any case, it was not his fault nor concern for her decision to dive in an action she was now currently regretting. She could have thought it through more as he only provided her an option. Never once did he force her into such a bond. After her own confused soliloquy, she declared to him that she refused to be his. This girl seemed to think so highly of herself that he would desire to covet her. In his eyes, he was simply another being that was bound to death in one way or another.

"I have no interest in having a dog." The pure-blood stated in a matter-of-fact tone. This act was done not due to attraction or her so-called unique standing in this world. His carmine red eyes held such a distant and cold look which he usually carry about him. He then looked at his wrist which was now healed. There was not even a trace of bite mark on his smooth skin. The blood was now also gone as he had licked it clean. Satisfied with his handiwork, he returned his attention to the prefect who seemed to be finished with such a pathetic manner of escaping from reality.

"This is a business deal." He stated coolly as the girl asked whether she was going to regret this decision. Well, he will let her decide on that. For now, he pointed at his chest where the searing pain they both felt emitted from. Because right now, there would be a mark which is an incomplete archaic eight-pointed sun. This is so for their marks were a pair with each other. "On our chest is the proof of our bond." Well, he was not in the mood to show it to her. So, he did not. After all, she can check it at a later date. Unlike the mark of servitude she had earlier, this one can only be erased by death. "The connection is not complete and not that strong." Now, this might be a curious thing.

"I simply compromised. This should be done by drinking each other's blood." Raising the wrist he had bitten earlier, it should be remembered that he had made it do with a blood compact. Because in the end, he has no desire for her to drink his blood. In the end, he stood by his words which he had spoken to her last night. She was not worthy of such a thing. "As for the completion, I believe we both would agree not to procreate." He stated with such coldness and with a noticeable disgust from the very thought. It was safe to say that the pure-blood was not in anyway hold any admiration and affection for the prefect. "Yet, the bond is enough to remove the mark of servitude forever."

He then turned his back at the prefect. There was nothing more to do here. The pure-blood wanted to retire to his chambers as of now. Furthermore, it was also time for Cassandra to feed. It was something he cannot afford to skip especially with the state of mine his adorable servant was in. Walking towards the doors, he should tell her about what kind of connection that should be expected. "From now on, we can sense each others intense emotions or when one is in danger. That is all." Actually, there were a lot more with this bond of theirs. After all, they were now considered lovers. Of course, this relationship does not apply to them at all. "There is more but I highly doubt it would apply to us for, I am incapable of loving anyone and you despise me."

With that said, Rien finally opened the door. But before leaving, he looked over his shoulder to gaze at the red-haired prefect. "Good night." Just like that, he finally left the prefect alone. He had already informed Pelus that he will be returning to his chambers. As such, this night was now over for both of them. Well, no one can really tell. But for him, he was done and that is all.

"Life does not consist mainly, or even largely, of facts and happenings. It consists mainly of the storm of thought that is forever flowing through one's head.' I wonder if he knew what he was talking about.

"Glad to know the feelings are mutual," she retorted, although she did not fail to glare at the vampire for calling her a dog. It was a business deal, he declared. Well, if that were the case, she wouldn't regret her decision as much. When he mentioned a mark, she pulled at the collar of her shirt exposing her skin in the process to stare at what he was talking about. Sure enough, there on her chest was a symbol that was half completed. He then stated it was not complete, that much was obvious, however; he stated he had compromised. It was supposed to be done by drinking each other's blood. At that notion, Shizuka's face pulled into that of disgust. She had no intention of ingesting blood, let alone his. She wasn't a vampire, but even so, she wouldn't. Because of it, their bond wouldn't be that strong. What was required to complete the bond, however, caused Shizuka a bit of a chill down her spine.

Procreate? That is something she would rather die a thousand deaths than to commit such an act with him. This was mutual on both ends it appeared since he stated it with a noticeable tone of disgust. She almost snorted in response. She folded her arms against her chest as he continued to explain this bond of theirs. It was enough to remove the mark he implanted on her. That was good enough for her and she allowed a ghost of smirk to cross her lips. She was free from the man who smelled of fresh rain. At the cost of being bonded to this vampire, she was free of him. At least with this bond, there was nothing more required of her and at least he knew she despised him. The only thing that would linger is another mark, but at least this one was more concealed than the first.

Then he spoke of being able to feel each other's intense emotions and when the other was in danger. Well, that wouldn't be a problem. The only time she'd ever be in danger was from herself if the earrings were ever removed or destroyed again. And she wasn't going to let that happen again. As for him, she highly doubted there was any way he could ever become endangered by anything or anyone. After all, he did manage her when she was unconscious. As such, he was the only one to be able to do so. The only other ones who were able to were her family members: the Leoght's. Because of it, there was a light spark of curiosity, however; she killed it as fast as it appeared.

"A misunderstanding then. I could care less what else this bond entails as long as I am free of that man," she stated, putting an emphasis on the man with a hint of anger, when he spoke of there being more to the bond. Because she despised him, and apparently he was incapable of love, it was irrelevant to know whatever else was part of this bond. She was free, that is all that mattered to her. He then left while bidding good night. She said nothing in return. This was indeed a good night, if albeit twisted in every way. As such, she allowed a grin to plague her lips as she finally exited the room. Now she could find this man of fresh rain and put an end to this. There was still information she needed from him though. She was brought from her thoughts from the soft mewling of Irihi. She picked him up and held him much a small infant, scratching his ear in the process.

He purred in delight as she walked through the hallways. Morning was just a few hours away, and she would need rest after today. But she still did not feel tired. There was still an odd sensation rolling down her spine. She glanced at her wrist, a scab now in the place where he had drawn her blood. It would be fully healed within another few minutes as if it never existed. Still, it itched. She furrowed her brows before glancing at the small white kitten in her arms. He had fallen asleep and as such, Shizuka only sighed. The walk back to her dorm had been uneventful, something she was grateful for given the events of the past night and this night. A bit of normalcy was welcomed even if it was just a small amount.

The night was coming to an end, that much was obvious. Perhaps it was the lack of focus, or the events that played through her mind, but whatever it was, she failed to notice the scent she had grown to despised. As she pushed open the door to her room, there was the man she was free from. Irihi woke from his subtle nap, glanced over towards the man, and smiled. Shizuka merely glared at the man as her heartbeat became a steady rhythm. What was he doing here? And how did he get into the dormitory without anyone seeing him? His eyes glanced towards her neck, noticing the symbol was now gone. A bright smile lingered on his lips.

"It seems you sought it out. I am glad," he spoke, causing a bout of confusion to cross Shizuka's face. He merely continued to smile as he took a step forward. She remained in her spot which caused the smile to spread even further across his lips. "It just means I have more leverage over you," he stated, closing the distance between them so that they were merely an inch a part. More leverage? What did he mean by that? He reached out, grasping a lock of her scarlet hair and twirled it in his finger. With that, she slapped his hand away and took a step back to provide much needed distance.

"What leverage could you possibly have? Your mark is no longer there," she retorted angrily. The man merely grinned sardonically. She didn't like that one bit. She clenched her fists together as she tried to keep her anger in check. So far, she was able to restrain it, but how much longer she'd be able to, she didn't know. "There is nothing you could have on me. I belong to no one now," she continued, however; the man merely kept the smile upon his face. This only fueled her anger.

"On the contrary, you will always belong to me, however; I think I am going to watch you writhe in the decision you made to be free. After all, a wolf only chooses one mate in it's life time, and it is obvious enough that Judai wasn't your chosen mate," he stated, earning a surprised look from Shizuka. How had he known about Judai? Furthermore, what did he mean by that? He merely walked passed her, brushing against her shoulder with his. "It is why you belong to me. Don't worry, there will be nothing happening this night, however," he paused, glancing at her earrings. The one he had crushed was now replaced with another. He had the information he needed to conclude what he had only suspected.

"I will return soon to finish what was started all those years ago," were his only parting words. He then exited the room, leaving Shizuka confused. What had been started? Why did he need her? It made no sense at all. It only left un-answered questions plaguing her now. She gritted her teeth as she resisted the urge to destroy her wall. Instead, she calmed her breathing and headed into her restroom. She needed a shower.

The next morning, the sound of metal clashing with something dull echoed through the compounds. Shizuka couldn't sleep last night, and as such, she had stayed up staring at the ceiling all night. When the sun rose, she had quickly dressed to perform her morning prefect duties and once they were done, she headed to the gym. Part of it was set up for her club. She hadn't been here in the last two days and she had missed a few things. Needless to say, the club members were a bit surprised to find their president inside already working up a sweat, however; she wasn't using the traditional shinai. Instead, two gleaming katana's were shining brightly beneath the dull luminescent lights of the school. She lowered them and turned to face the members of her group. It wasn't a large group, consisting of mainly ten people in total, including herself. They were down one member though.

She had learned that Asami had come down with a fever and was recovering from it. It was why she hadn't seen her friend in the passed two days. She had grown worried but was relieved that she was okay. She glanced towards her members and offered them a smile. Yes, a smile that was rarely seen without being forced plagued her lips. She considered these people her friends, and as such they were not terrified of her. They were the few people who managed to worm their way into her bubble and be accepted as her friends. As such she informed them of Asami's condition in which they were all saddened by it. They were attached to the girl as much as Shizuka was, however, their attachment was a bit different.

Either way, one of the members spoke of the upcoming bazaar. At this, Shizuka rose an eyebrow. She wasn't informed of any gala's that were going to happen, however; the member continued stating that it was because of the "Blue" moon that would be appearing soon. It wasn't such a grand thing truly. It happened once every two or three years and there was nothing special about it, however; apparently this years Blue moon was going to be rather spectacular, or so they said. Shizuka merely rolled her eyes at the sudden hearts that appeared in their eyes at the thought. Apparently each club was to participate with some sort of festivity for others to enjoy while they enjoyed the small carnival that was bound to happen.

"Touki-sama! Can we do that this year?" Shizuka glanced to the one who called her Touki. She hadn't heard that nickname in awhile. She frowned a bit. The girl had been adamant about doing a maid cafe themed booth ever since she fell in love with a certain cartoon. Shizuka couldn't recall the name of it, but it had to do with some high school girl working at a maid cafe. It was supposed to be a secret, but one of her classmates found out about it. Regardless, Shizuka only shook her head. "Please Touki-sama!" the girl pleaded while the others joined in. They apparently were into the idea. Since she was the president, the decision would ultimately be hers to make. But their eyes.

How could she say no to them? So it was decided, the kendo club would be participating in this festival of sorts. Shizuka was brought out of her thoughts when one of the members pointed something out to Shizuka. Glancing in the direction, she saw a piece of the mark left from last night, peaking out of the wrap of her outfit. She frowned slightly and turned towards the one who pointed it out. "It's an odd birthmark," was the only reply she gave them. That seemed to satisfy their curiosity for now. Shizuka had other things to attend to now. If they were to be ready for the gala, she needed to get to work on paperwork and how many people would be willing to participate. Not only that, she had to get the proper materials, outfits, and other things that would be needed.

She sighed in annoyance. She loved her friends, but sometimes she wondered why she caved into them so easily. She rubbed her cheeks in frustration as she let out an aggravated sigh. This was going to be a long day...and it wasn't even lunch time yet.

"From the very beginning, we are all made from broken parts and in the end, we search for things to make us whole.”

Warm. Gentle. It was even a bit ticklish to the senses. These were the words which could describe the filtering sun light from the pink shroud above a certain pure-blood. As one could guess, the incomprehensible and feared Vice-Leader of the Night Class was now peacefully sleeping underneath the Cherry Blossoms tree. This was not odd for him. After all, he did not hide his favor for such trees nor did he show dislike for the sun. Actually, he had just stepped out of his room. Because throughout the course of the night, he had been busy in doing something else. Of course, this was his personal matter which no one has the right to question him.

"You like sleeping outside, don't you?"

Closed eyes slowly revealed those carmine red irises as if a precious secret. It had been a long time since he had heard that voice ringing deep within his consciousness. A memory from a very distant past which ultimately defines every move he makes. How ironic it was. Long ago, these casual conversations never held any deep meaning. During those moments, he could hardly care about the words exchange between them. Now, every pause, every period, every thing about their interactions had been engraved at the very core of his being. Those simple dialogues were now more priceless than anything else presented to him. Nothing could ever compare to its brilliance which left a scar never meant to be removed.

"You're just being lazy... I believe... No, I know you are destined for great things."

Really, he could never know where that statement came from. As far as he knew, he had never done anything that could be considered remarkable or outstanding. Most of his life, he had faded into the background to hide the fact he was different from the rest. Even among those who are called pure-bloods, he was still not like them. As such, he hid himself in the cover of allusions and deceit. Because, they will never understand or comprehend him. How could they? He does not even understand the complexities of his existence. The only person who had at one point provided insight about his coming to life was now long gone.

"Hey, Rien..."

Most of all, it had been ages since anyone had called his name. Cassandra would do so on occasion but always with the additives. Usually, she calls him by Supremo. Pelus was as rigid and stiff as anyone could be. As a result, he only calls him as Master. The rest and ever since his ascension, he had only been known as Supremo. His name had become but a mystery, a secret provided to only two people as of now. They say there was nothing worthwhile in a person's name, so there was no use getting hung over it. But, they were greatly wrong in that. For, he knew well how vital hearing one's name is especially from someone very precious and priceless.

"Master, it has been confirmed."

Same voice... He looked to his side in such a suave and disenchanted manner. Same face... However, there will always be one thing that lacks. This person was Pelus and no one else. Looking above him, he watched the rustling pink blossoms played by the light breeze. It was comforting to him like nothing else mattered and time had simply stopped. But of course, it was not so. "I know." He reached out his hand and caught a few petals falling. How fragile. How light. How easy to destroy. Yet, he released them as the passing breeze carried them away from his sight. Yes, everything was delicate and easily broken. The trick, it is harder to control one's self from not destroying such essence. As such, he continued to watch everything in such languid manner.

Pelus did not avert his eyes from his Master's form. He knew the pure-blood had not slept once more. It was not a problem in terms of health and such. However, a being who had transcended millenniums, sleep is an essential means of rest for the mind and soul. Of course, the pure-blood sees this as more of a nuisance then a means of relaxation. For his Master, watching the cherry blossoms and drinking wine were all he needed. "Milady is going to arrange things for the upcoming blue moon bazaar. So, she will excuse herself from your presence for a while, Master." The familiar noted as Cassandra had asked him to extend this to their Master which was truly peculiar. But, it was to be expected.

The pure-blood returned his outreached hand to his side and leaned his head on the trunk behind him. Cassandra had been sulking ever since last night during her feeding. She had a glimpse of his memories and saw the mark upon his chest. Of course, it meant he was now bound to someone specifically, the red-haired prefect. Even if there was no love to be developed or such, they were still bound by the soul mark. They will not be allowed to be with another if such, the mark will exact punishment. However, the pure-blood does not see any harm about it. He will never fall in love and the prefect was still tied to the pure-blood Judai as reported by Pelus.

In the end, Rien truly does not care about love, romance, creating a family, or growing old together. Such matters were worthless to him. "Blue moon." He noted to himself and slowly a smirk appeared on his lips. As they say, mysterious and dastardly things happen during a full moon. This one was no different. "Master, shall I handle the extra entertainment?" Pelus knew what his Master was amused about. After all, nothing is completely unknown to the pure-blood. Even if, Rien appears unaware and oblivious to all. He is actually more knowledgeable than anyone in existence combined. The Master just sees no need, no purpose, and no sense for him to get involved. So, the pure-blood simply holds back everything and watches. "No. Let it happen."

Standing from his position, the Supremo walked passed Pelus who bowed in respect and answered. "As you wish, Master." The pure-blood will watch everything. It will be entertaining to see two beings not mean to exist be embroiled in a scheme they had woven themselves while having the so-called bazaar as their wonderful back draft. In the end, nothing really interests him anymore except for the one goal about to be accomplished. When that is done, he will have no need for this school anymore. As such, Pelus followed behind his Master who is not noticed and is seen, is undeniably broken in more ways than one. But then again, no one is really whole to begin with.

"I've seen these hands before...in a dream not mine. Who do they belong to? Who are they?"

Whispers.

Words were echoing through a dark hole, however; no sound could be heard. The only thing visible was a pair of lips moving, talking as if conversing casually with another pair of lips. The smaller ones, more defined and shaped feminine, slowly tilted into a smile. They then spoke another word before dissolving into nothing. The background faded as Shizuka watched as the sky became apparent. Indigo, orange, and violet painted the sky in a beautiful twilight. Two lone figures stood a top a hill, standing beneath a large weeping willow. Words were once again being exchanged, however; small fragments could be heard.

"It is my choice."

"It doesn't have to be."

Shizuka frowned in confusion. What was happening? Who were these two people? She tried calling out to them, but found she had no voice. The woman, she held onto the man's hand, almost as if to beg him not to leave, however; the male only shook his head. Something was familiar about him, something Shizuka couldn't pinpoint. She continued to watch as the man turned to face the woman, cupping her cheek in his hand as he did so. Shizuka could see the faint glistening of something. Was it tears? She couldn't tell, but then, the man was gone. Shizuka glanced around as she was shrouded in darkness again. She was so confused. Who were those people? Why was she dreaming of them? She turned around, only to find herself staring into bright amber eyes. For the first time, Shizuka felt fear.

The sound of something falling startled Shizuka out of her sleep. She cracked an eye open, noticing she was now on the floor. She blinked a few times, glancing over towards the chair she was just in. She frowned as she then turned her attention once more to the floor. Did she fall out of her chair? It was obvious enough given her current position. She sighed, picking herself up and sitting back in the chair. Glancing at the clock, it currently read that it was almost time for the switching of the classes. She frowned slightly. She didn't want to do her duties tonight. She simply wanted to finish the paperwork required of her and be done with it. Apparently the Blue Moon "Extravaganza" would be starting in about a week.

It wasn't an odd thing really, seeing as the full moon had only been two days ago. It would only mean that the moon's phases were going to pass quickly, something that Shizuka was not currently looking forward to. Although she agreed to the type of bazaar her club would be doing, she wasn't exactly going to be participating in it. She still had duties as a prefect to perform and people to keep in line from getting overly excited. To say she was thrilled would be an exaggeration. She wasn't thrilled at all. Keeping the excited humans from over-running the Night Class wasn't going to be an easy task, but she'd find a way to manage. Irihi merely purred, calling Shizuka's attention as she picked up the white kitten.

"I suppose it's feeding time for you then," she stated, rubbing the cat's head affectionately. She stood from her chair, stretching so that she could hear her bones popping in the process. She still had a few minutes before classes ended, and most of the paper work was completed. She should feed Irihi first before finishing. With that in mind, she tucked the small kitten away on her shoulder, watching as he curled into her hair and began a soft humming noise. This only caused her to focus on her dream. It was odd, it felt so real. That man, he seemed so familiar and yet, Shizuka didn't know him. She placed a finger underneath her chin as she walked with a thoughtful expression.

It truly was peculiar, given all that has happened. But perhaps she was reading too much into it. Perhaps it truly was just a dream, after all; one cannot control what they will dream of. Somehow, there was this small voice in the back of her head that told her otherwise. It was as if she were living a memory not her own. She sighed in defeat. This was getting her nowhere, only just more confusion. Irihi mewled, catching Shizuka's attention as she turned to the source. It was nothing. She rose an eyebrow as Irihi merely snuggled into the crook of her neck, causing Shizuka's face to twitch. The cat was soft, and it was tickling her. Before she knew it, the loud chiming of the bell echoed through the Academy. It was time already.

Without missing a beat, Shizuka was out of the building quicker than usual. She didn't want to deal with the Day Class students' frivolous attraction to the Night Class, and as such she ushered them all towards their dorms before the Night Class could even come out. It was a new record. Satisfied at her handi-work, she left the Night Class to their own accord. She knew that a majority, if not all (with the exception of a certain pure-blood and his entourage) were too frightened to venture anywhere other than towards the Academy. As such, she left to patrol the grounds. It's been awhile since she was able to roam the deeper parts of the forest behind the Academy. As such, she took off her shoes, allowing the soft grass to assault her bare feet.

It was a soothing feeling, one that seemed to calm the confusion that was beginning to eat at her. She walked along a path, glancing up at the night sky in the process. The stars were shining brightly against the black skin of the sky and the cool breeze that filtered through felt nice. As such, she allowed a serene expression to cross her features. She felt at peace for once, as if nothing in the world mattered, only this moment of the night. She found an isolated area, one that held a small hill that was exposed to the sky. She decided to rest there. Laying on her back, she placed Irihi on her stomach, stroking the white kitten as she stared up.

"I wonder," she began, earning a soft meow from Irihi as if to continue. "I wonder what kind of life I would have if--" she paused. If what? If she hadn't been born as a monster? If her parents, her family, hadn't vanished? She shook the thought from her head as she reached a hand up towards the sky, trying to grasp at the stars in the process. "Judai, would things have been different if I were like you instead?" she found herself stating. Would things have been different if she were a vampire? Would they have been different if she were human? Irihi rubbed against her hands, bringing her out of her thoughts.

"I wanted a family, Irihi. I wanted to share my life with someone, even if it was just for a little while. But I can't do that now, can I? she spoke as the kitten merely tilted his head. He softly mewled as if to disagree with her, however; she merely scratched beneath his chin. "You're right Irihi. There is no point in dwelling on the past. Things cannot be changed, no matter how hard you wish you could change them," she stated, allowing her hand to fall to her side. She would always be tied to her past, no matter what. Even if she could find some way to erase it, it would never be truly gone. Something would always tie her to it. And in this case, it would always be Judai. Her heart clenched painfully at the thought.

She sighed, closing her eyes in the process. She still had things to finish back for her club. She just needed to add the finishing touches, and her club would be ready for the Blue Moon. After all, days tend to pass quickly, especially when sinister events are sure to follow.

"Do you know that phrase? Once in a blue moon...”

The most awaited festival of the Academy has finally arrived. However, it was not for a certain individual. Yes, the mysterious yet appealing pure-blood who simply decided to stay in his room for the entire duration. Why? He was never interested in such trivialities. Thus, he would be spending his time in a more productive manner. As such in his vocabulary, this will be lazing underneath his favorite tree and drinking wine without much of an interference. It had been quite a while since the last time he had such a night all to himself. Most of the time, Pelus or Cassandra would disrupt him with meaningless reports. Although, he knew they were simply doing their responsibility to him.

In any case, he leaned his back against the bark of the tree. This was truly a relaxing moment for him. Furthermore, the other occupants of the dormitory were out and about at the festival where Cassandra was at as well. The girl was in-charge of the Night Class. It is why the Night Class was brave enough to venture outside. Furthermore, their fear of that canine monstrosity became a sweltering heat of vengeance. Well, pride was also another issue. Yet, it was of no consequence to him. As for Pelus, he had told him to watch out for any sort activities. After all, this was such a special night. His familiar was wearing the usual skin of that precious person to him. This was nothing to him. So, there was no trouble.

His eyes of ruby-red looked above him as the fluttering pink petals did not obstruct his view of the full moon with the mystical hue of blue. If they would make a move, it will be now. He knew what happens around him. Thus, he choose not to get involve. There was no merit for him on a personal aspect. As a result, he will not do anything about it as long as it does not concern him. Well, this was a given. Technically, he does not care about anything else but his one goal. For him, that was enough. Everything else around him could crumble to dust or be bathed in the sea of blood. He will still not move or show an inkling of concern. This is simply how he is or rather, this is simply what he chooses to be.

Closing his eyes, he allowed to refit his mind to what he is doing. Bringing his cup filled with wine to his lips, he tasted the richness it contains. The subtle delight, he found very refreshing. This was the only thing he would praise the humans for in creating. Others? They were all useless and trash in his personal opinion. Just like that, the pure-blood known as Supremo passed his time underneath the light of blue moon while the fleeting petals showered around him. It was like protecting him or rather preventing anyone to disturb him. Yes, this was a perfect night for such wine drinking and truly, he liked it to stay that way.

Cassandra looked at the blue moon hanging above with such blackness as its canvass. She had been busy for the past days which left her a feeling of loneliness. It was because she had not been by the side of her Master. More importantly, it would seem that the Supremo could hardly care for it. Her feelings were somewhat overflowing within her yet, she had managed to contain it. Even more so now, her eyes found its way on the form of a certain prefect. Before, she could careless about that woman's existence. Even if the prefect would show disrespect to Supremo, she could ignore for there was truly no meaning to it. But now, it was different. That prefect was bound to her Master. A contract more stronger than hers. It is why... Yes... She was completely jealous.

"If you have something to say Pelus, speak." Cassandra stated as she diverted her attention to look at the silent and looming form of the Master's familiar behind her. Both of them were currently at the school grounds were the festival was being held. In truth, she was in favor of Pelus being away from Supremo. It is true that the said pure-blood was stronger than any of them. But, it does not mean they could not do anything to prevent harm to be even a possibility. "Don't be a woman, Milady." Hearing this, Cassandra narrowed her eyes in annoyance. She knew what the familiar was relaying to her.

"I can handle myself well." With that declared, Cassandra went on her way to ensure that the Night Class were behaving and at the same time doing their assigned tasks for the festival. As for Pelus, he watched Milady form silently and still that he had already garnered the attention of people especially the humans. Well, he was such a handsome sight in such a guise. It had also come to his information that there was a fan club in his name. Although, it would not compete with his Master. In any case once Milady was out of his sight, he walked away ignoring the people calling for his attention.

Yet, Pelus had managed to cast a glance on the prefect which was now soul bound to his Master. He could hear well the shifting in the wheels of fate. The stage was now set with the blue moon as the light for the upcoming show. As for the actors, he was not certain of the roles. Yet, there was one thing he was certain despite being simply a familiar. There was no turning back for any of them. His Master, Milady, the Prefect, and everyone else willing to indulge themselves in this intricately blood-woven design. In his opinion, this was truly perfect for them. After all, the night had always revealed a twisted yet beautiful dream which only leaves incomprehensible pain in its wake. With that, he walked away only intent to simply watch much like his Master had chosen for such a long time.
