Yoshi | Most of his close companions call him by this name. It's more of a pet-like, childish name and something his parents always called him when he was in trouble. He doesn't mind being called by this name and allows everyone to use it when addressing to him. Yoshi means 'good luck'.

Hide | Not most call him by this name. Only a few people have used this name when addressing to him through his lifetime. He doesn't mind being addressed by this name but it may take him awhile to realize your calling to him when using the name. Hide means 'esteem, excellence'.

"Battle scars do not make you stronger, they're not an imprint of your bravery or sacrifice. No. Scars are the proof of your past failures, your cowardice, the strength you didn't have. Scars are a reminder and cause pain. That is the toll you have to live with after all."

A muddled up brown color just like his eyes. His hair tends to stick out in the back and is quite unkempt looking. He keeps the front uneven, one side almost covering up his right eye. Hideyoshi's hair, in the back, stops at his shoulders and the front part of his hair stops just above his chin.

⌈E Y E SβŒ‹
Most will say that his eyes take the color of a muddled up brown. This isn't an insult just a simple observation. Hideyoshi has kind gentle eyes, always showing a light-hearted expression, easily masking his concerns and worries behind his gentle hues.

⌈S K I NβŒ‹
Hideyoshi has a warm beige skin tone. His skin seems to burn easily under the sun but it's almost impossible for his skin to get darker from a tan. His skin is quite soft and the only ruggedness you can feel is where his scars are.

⌈B O D YXT Y P EβŒ‹
Hideyoshi has a lean build. He is on the thinner side, but makes it up for his outstanding athleticism. He has a decent muscular build but relies more on speed and agility when it comes down to a fight.

⌈B O D YXM A R K I N G SβŒ‹
He has a couple small scars here and there from previous fights in the past.

⌈U N I Q U EX F EA T U R E SβŒ‹
The only unique feature that Hideyoshi has is the fact that his left arm is cut off. There is a scar and burn mark over his shoulder stub.

"Don't train for yourself. Don't get stronger for yourself. Get stronger for your loved ones, so you may protect them. All men shouldn't crave power for selfish reasons, it should be to protect loved ones and family."

⌈P O T E N T I A LXI N T E R E S TβŒ‹
Oh This Again..: Hideyoshi is not interested in looking for his other half or someone who is equal to him. Actually, all he is looking for is someone who can protect him. Sure he is protective of others but when it comes down to a lover, he expects his significant other to be stronger and able to take care of him. He has had many lovers in the past though all failed to meet his expectations. Especially the few women who could never physically meet the expectations, though all the men had no trouble in that aspect.

⌈S K I L L SβŒ‹
‑ Agility & Flexibility || Hideyoshi's body was put under intense training during his childhood. His body was pushed to it's limits daily. As such, he has become far more nimble and flexible than most humans. Despite his left arm being gone, he still is as nimble and quick as before.
‑ Knife Throwing || Despite only having one arm, don't underestimate his knife throwing abilities. He can only throw four at a time, eight if he still had his left arm, and his aim is excellent. So you have to be pretty skilled yourself to dodge his knives.
‑ Swordsmanship || Hideyoshi has been training the use of a sword since he was in his early teen years. He's not the most skilled when it comes to a sword but he knows enough to defend himself and fight with it.

⌈A B I L I T I E SβŒ‹
β˜… Motivation || It may actually be impossible to stop him from pursuing a goal once he’s set it. Some people just say he’s terribly stubborn, though. Additionally, he seems to be very good at motivating others. Plus with his charm, it is said he could move the hearts of many.
β˜… Lying || Although he only intentionally lies when the situation is dire, he is quite good at the art of conjuring up a poker face. When it comes to his sincere looking smile, most wouldn't think twice of what Hideyoshi says.
β˜… Keen Eyes || Hideyoshi is one to notice when things are out of place or strange. He notices the littlest of things that others may not even think about and is able to read people like a book, if someone close to him has a shift in attitude he'll notice right away.

⌈S T R E N G T H SβŒ‹
ღ Kindness || Perhaps it’s not usually thought of as a strength, but Hideyoshi is amazingly kindhearted and open. In fact, he is more than willing to go out of his way for others, be them friend or foe.
ღ Protective || Hideyoshi has the will-power and determination when it comes to protecting the ones he holds dearest to his heart. No matter how tired, weak, or damaged he may be; Hideyoshi will always pull through for his loved ones, even if it means death befalls him.
ღ Resilience || Physically, he is very resilient. If you keep throwing punches, Hideyoshi will always get back up under the right circumstances. His body can take many beatings before he actually gives up or tires out.

⌈W E A K N E S S E SβŒ‹
Ξ¨ Achluophobia || His biggest fear. It may seem childish but Hideyoshi just hasn't ever gotten over his fear of the dark. He may get a little frantic when night draws near but is capable to be outside at night. It's complete utter darkness that terrifies him. He suffers from anxiety attacks because of the dark. Symptoms he faces are trembling and rapid heartbeat.
Ξ¨ Brute Strength || As said before, Hideyoshi is thinner than the average male, which means, the odds are not in his favor when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. Hand-to-hand combat has always been a struggle for him, even before he lost his arm.
Ξ¨ Missing Arm || Hideyoshi cannot use his left arm, for he no longer has it. This takes a toll on everyday tasks and because of one less arm, fighting has become much more of a challenge for him, not impossible but he has lost some skill in it. Despite this fact, he trains hard to overcome this weakness and hopefully become much more of a great fighter than he was before.

|| Charismatic † Stubborn † Easy Going † Stepford Smiler † Considerate ||

One thing that Hideyoshi is known for is his charisma. It's definitely a trait that others take quick notice to and maybe even yearn for. His gentle features and trusting eyes are what make him seem so charismatic. His presence is more than seen, it is felt and known. Poise charm and presence are far less important than the crucial element of his charisma -- connection. His charisma leaves others with the feeling that he has connected with them on a personal level even if it was across the room. It's inexplicable and intangible, yet irrefutable. His smile never falters when in the presence of others. A smile purely like the sun is shining in through a stained Church glass window, soothing in it's glory. However, most don't see the facade he puts on everyday in front of everyone. It's been so long since he has smiled purely for himself and not for the sake of others around him.

Always thinking of others needs beyond his own, Hideyoshi is truly a considerate individual. Most of the scars on him were from attempts at protecting the ones he holds dear and near to his heart. Though his kindness can be a weakness at any moment. Others have taken advantage of his kind being and he never see's it coming no matter how many times he's learned in the past, he'll never learn his lesson. Stubborn as a mule, Hideyoshi won't give up on others or on himself. It takes much to knock him down without having him get right back up. Though even he has his limits. His determination dies out quicker when it means his efforts outs a loved one in danger, or even if an innocent bystander is put in harms way.

No matter how you look at it, Hideyoshi is a kind boy who has the ability to move an ocean of people's hearts. He smiles on the outside for many others sake and well being. He goes to great lengths to protect the innocent and loved. He treats everyone as an equal when first meeting them and only your actions against others will decide how he treats you from then on. Hideyoshi is a kind boy who just needs a little light in his life, pure and soothing, just like how others depict his stepford smile though he doesn't need something fake, he needs something real.

⌈H I S T O R YβŒ‹

The Akahoshi clan, a strong ruling clan in the Eastern lands. The clan that put an end to many vampires lives. The Akahoshi clan is a gated community that only allows humans past their walls. The leader of the clan was a fierce woman named, Sawako, who had no sons or daughters. The woman was pure when it came to just about everything but bloodshed was something she was all too familiar with. She had many brothers, all who helped keep the clan together and not one fussed about taking power, except one brother that is. Ichijo, the eldest brother who wanted a taste of the power his elder sister held. He was made an example of, and was banished outside of the gates, never to return to his home. Sawako could never bring herself to kill him so she banished him instead. The Akahoshi clan was at peace without the worry of their leader being killed by a traitor, like her brother but peace doesn't stay for long.

Villagers within the gated community began to come up missing. The people were scared and frightened; men, women, and children alike. Sawako had to do something of it so she, a few of her brothers, and her best warriors searched outside the walls to find the missing. Their was a rumor spread that a neighboring village had lost a fight and was now overrun by blood-sucking vampires, so the Akahoshi clan set to look there first. Sure enough, they had to fight their way in and found the missing villagers though most dead. They gathered the few still breathing and were ready to head off back to the gated community when Sawako found a boy who didn't look familiar to her at all. The boy looked about twelve and wasn't apart of her village though he was covered with scars and bite marks, barely hanging onto his last breath. She took him back to the village, hoping to save his life. Sawako took care of the boy and nurtured him back to health like a little child would do a injured bird. The boy became apart of the community and was renamed by the clan leader herself. She named him, Hideyoshi Akahoshi, after her mothers father and was claimed as her heir to the clan. Hideyoshi became apart of Sawako's family and was even greatly considered as Sawako's child.

Hideyoshi grew up happily with the Akahoshi clan and his guardian, Sawako Akahoshi. Sawako was even selecting a worthy candidate to marry her son by the age of fourteen. Hideyoshi was watched over by his uncles, his favorite being Tamaki, who was a goofball and the youngest out of them all. Despite the laughter and happiness shared within the Akahoshi family, it didn't take much to stop it. Ichijo had returned and demanded the head of his sister or the end of the gated community would commence. Sawako warned her brother to leave or he would be killed were he stood. Ichijo had left but he made sure the village heeded his words. That night, the Akahoshi clan was under attack. The walls had come down and many innocent were killed. A neighboring vampire community had attacked with the help of Ichijo. Many of Sawako's brothers were killed in battle, only two remained after that night. The Akahoshi clan lost that battle that night but they weren't overrun, just badly injured. Their leader, thankfully was not wounded badly. Hideyoshi, however, lost his left arm. It was cut off by Ichijo who hated the young boy for being the heir to the clan when he wasn't even blood related. That night many innocence was lost within the village and it's villagers.

Five years had passed and the Akahoshi clan has been rebuilt to it's full potential. Sawako is very ill and has been bed ridden. The village is praying for her good health while her son is sent to negotiate possible terms for a peace treaty, one that will end the fighting and bring about the desired peace by both humans and the Minamoto's. Sawako has left it up to her son to decide the path their clan shall take.

So begins...

The air was damp outside. There was no sun to be traced and no lingering sunset would befall when near should near. No. Even the gods would not shine the glorious sun on this day. The clan leader, Sawako, laid sickly in bed as everyone in the village prayed for her well being. The gods have not been kind recently and have made no effort in improving the leaders health. Tamaki, the leaders youngest brother, doesn't believe that she will pull out of her ill fate though others, like Hideyoshi, believe she will get better because the leader could not die of such a small thing like sickness.

"How do you feel? Better I'm hoping." The shōji slid open and Hideyoshi entered the room with a traditional Japanese tea set balanced on his right forearm. Tamaki was one step behind him as he was making sure the stubborn boy, who wanted to do everything by himself despite his handicap, wouldn't fall or spill the tea. The young boy caught site of the silver-haired beauty, Sawako, who had moved out of bed and was now sitting by the window. She turned her head and smiled warmly but...weakly. "Yoshi, what are you doing, silly boy. You didn't have to bring the tea yourself, you could of had Tamaki-kun do it." The woman's smile formed into small laughter as she was so happy her beloved child would go out of his way to do something for her. It was a warming feeling that she could never get used to. It was the recognition of love from Hideyoshi that she yearned for. How it felt so warm to be recognized as a mother to him. The light brunette smiled back though his balance wavered at that moment but, luckily, Tamaki caught the boy's balance for him just in time. "Here. I got the tea, go sit by Sawako-sama." The older man took the tea set from the younger boy and urged him to walk on. "Your leaving soon, are you not?" Hideyoshi nodded his head as he sat beside the ill leader. Sawako pulled the boy in closer as she let his head rest on her chest and soothed his hair out with her hand. "Oh my good luck charm, I know you will make the right decision for our clan but don't let the villages past or your past guide your judgement." Hideyoshi closed his eyes as he lifted his hand to touch the pristine, gentle hand of Sawako. Before he could speak, his mind wandered as he was enchanted by the comfort and smell of his loving guardian. Her voice was as sweet as honey and her gaze was just enchanting, the way her eyes looked like two bloody crescent moons. "I will not allow any of that to cloud my judgement." A laugh escaped Sawako's lips as a smile painted itself across her face. "Easier said than done, my boy." A mere mutter drew from her soft lips.

What was he going to do? Hideyoshi had heard about the Minamoto's being a very generous and protective bunch who didn't attack the humans who lived under them but then again, he was very doubtful. A vampire who protected humans was just so alien and unheard of to him though he was in no position to deem the stories as lies. He was headed over to try and form a peace treaty among vampires and humans, after all.

Hideyoshi glanced over at the man who had accompanied him for the journey. All he was aware of was that the man's name was Ryogi Koyanagi. The ox-drawn carriage slowly came to a stop and soon the door was opened by one of the servants. Hideyoshi was helped out which he gladly returned with a smile to the lowly servant. The boy was wearing a dark blue hakama, with a blue kimono that held a lovely pattern on the inside, and a haori with a intricate flower-based design. His sash was tied tightly around his waist, so as to prevent his haori or kimono from drifting off his left shoulder. As anyone could see, there was nothing to keep it held up though the fabric on his left side was cut a bit so the weight would be lessened and the chance of it falling was lessened as well.

The one waiting to greet them was Tatsuhiro Minamoto, also known as Rika Minamoto's husband. Hideyoshi saw the other human representative had already arrived. It was Hana Yuuki, if he had remembered correctly from what Tamaki had told him. Hideyoshi stepped up to introduce himself. "I am Akahoshi Hideyoshi, nice to make your acquaintance." He bowed in a respectable manner though once he pulled his body up again, he could feel the cloth sliding down his left shoulder. Annoyed by the fabric, Hideyoshi pulled it up more over his shoulder. "Thank you for the invitation." He put on one of his best and approachable smiles though really he just wanted to get this done and over with. Frankly, he wasn't ecstatic by the fact he was standing so close to a vampire. He hadn't been near one in a long time but the presence still frightened him to an extent.

Asano-san and Tatsuhiro-sans rivalry was very apparent. It was almost amusing how they glared at each other and made passive aggressive remarks as if it were normal. Yuuki unfolded her fan to hide the smile that was creeping up onto her cherry red lips; their banter reminding her of bickering siblings.

"There is no need for formalities, Yuuki-san. And we are honored that you would accept our summons as you have. You have no need of fear from us, Hideyoshi-san, Yuuki-san. All who are under our banner will not harm you, and those who have agreed to this armistice have also sworn not to harm humans for as long as the meeting conduces the original purpose." A human, so that's what they believed she was? Yuuki would see no point in correcting Minamoto-san as she was half human and so he was almost correct. It did pique her interest as to why Asano-san seemed to harbor such hate towards the female if she believed she was human as well? Perhaps Asasno-san was simply dreading having to negotiate a peace treaty, or Yuuki had misinterpreted the emotions rolling off of her?

A smile tickled her lips once more as Tatsuhiro and the other human male, the one whose name escaped her mind, began the familiar chat of friends reuniting after a long journey. She and her brothers used to interact that way when they would go into town or travel to neighboring villages and return with little trinkets like carved dolls or wooden arrows and stories of unfamiliar lands. An unexpected pang of nostalgia resounded in her chest and slowly Yuuki's smile faded. "We are not here for personal affairs, Ryogi-san. If all is well, I will discuss them with you after the meeting has been adjourned, but now is not the time. If you'll pardon me, Yuuki-san, Hideyoshi-san, is there anything we can provide for you at the moment? Your journey was a long one, and we would see you rested before hand. If you'd like, Rika is attending to the others, and would have you all meet before the meeting. If there is nothing more you need, we are all expected in the quarter room,"

Yuuki shook her head slightly and looked up at the vampire before lowering her fan. "The only thing I could use right now is a cup of jasmine tea." She replied honestly, having rested in the carriage on the way here. "I very much look forward to meeting the other honored guests." Yuuki turned towards the other human male, suddenly aware that he only had one arm and making sure to keep her gaze on his face. She really knew nothing of the people who were going to attend this meeting as Yuuki had been very sheltered from the world when she was a child and upon her time working as a slave it was forbidden for her to be in the room when the Heads of the household were discussing politics. It was only thanks to her recent adviser that she knew a bit about the Minamoto's and the names of the other guests attending. Yuuki hoped this ignorance would not be apparent when they met in the quarter room.

"What about you Hideyoshi-san?"
