There no limits as to how far you can go and what you can do.
Personality:
Unpredictable, and playful in a philosophical manner with his words and actions, as he enjoys seeing the confused expressions on people who lose track of their conversations, Stef is a bit like two sides of a coin -- just within one person. Not exactly bi-polar, Stef is almost always in a good mood, smiling for no reason or just wryly for gods-knows-what, as he would read his abnormal subjects in books, on his phone, within headlines, etc. Stef is very empathetic, as his smile reflects the mood that the situation would call for.
Some find him a bit of an odd ball, as he would break out in his smiles that he cannot hold in when dark subjects are being conversed(unless it's too serious that he has no expression). But would space off whenever it's about a subject that he has already completely discussed. He doesn't like to repeat himself, or repeating events (especially bad ones, he does everything possible in his power to prevent things like that.) As schedules "cramp his style", he just "goes with the flow" for restrictions are something that Stef does not like. "There no limits as to how far you can go and what you can do." This doesn't pertain to band practices however, as he pulls through for his loved ones, no excuses.
Being easy to read, Stef is always playing tunes with his best friend (his guitar), and every note shows his mood, whether he is aware of it or not. Optimistic, and extremely enthusiastic to the point where he wanders off accidentally, should something catch his attention. This has been known to annoy his fellow band mates when he would disappear for several hours at a time, and then reappear completely nonchalant about it. Stef is very fussy and slightly vain over his appearance, and would not ever tolerant his appearance to be unsightly or unacceptable. He generally ignores the 'why so feminine' comments. He has been known to waste tons of time that the other members would've appreciated using when fixing their appearance themselves in bathrooms or the whatnot.
Stef has a strong need and love for cash, as "money keeps the world going round, it has been established, the spoken and unspoken law, since long ago". Always ready to jump at an opportunity that gains some big bucks, seemingly at appearance that he spends most of his cash on everything he wants to own for his appearance or otherwise, when really he does it for other causes unsaid. He's extremely private about his past and what he does in his free time that doesn't involve Vanilla Dream, as he doesn't like others in his business. His greatest flaw would have to be his clinginess, for when he falls in love, he falls hard -- very; and dislike for change in his relationships.(Change as in awkwardness, distrust, and negativity.) Stef is usually wary of other people, having several trust issues. But once they have attracted him, he would hold on til' death parts them, literally. He has been known to become very obsessive, and not get over his previous lovers even after 5 years or more. He hates fights -- of anything of the sort, and could overreact about it, whether it's simple disputes over a front seat or who ate the last whatever piece of food in the fridge, to more serious fights such as threats of leaving the band or intimate relationships going downhill and affecting others. He backs off any fights that may try to involve him, and ignores all taunts or tempting insults that would allow him to become violent, or to become some sort of cause to a negative relationship.
Stef's completely content with just them(Vanilla Dream) being together with many beautiful memories, and would want nothing more than for them to be together forever, despite that he knows, and will dread, the day in which they would all have to part ways.
Likes: Vanilla Dream and its members, when the members get along, sleeping in, interesting things, rehearsals, performing, tours, playing his guitar, tuning out, string instruments, being relaxed, sweet foods, hugging people for warmth, small furry animals, cloudy or rainy days, playing games, scoring on big gigs that gets them big money.
Dislikes: Repeating himself, tragedy, misfortunes, alcohol(he is unable to hold it down and it's bitter taste make him want to vomit anyway), coffee, bitter foods, being cold, disputes among the members, when people try to touch his guitar or mess with any of his stuff, chipmunks(they scare him), super bright sunny days, mix-matching his clothes in a way that it doesn't look right/having an unacceptable appearance, the sores on his fingers that come after a good relaxing 'rock out' session with his guitar.
Dreams: To be able to play his music freely; For his younger sister to recover.
Fears: Vanilla Dream being of no more, His loved ones rejecting his existence, Becoming alone and abandoned, Seeing his loved ones die and not being able to do a thing about it, Having to choose between staying with the band or saving up enough money for his sister, chipmunks.
Quirks: - Stef enjoys singing their songs completely off-tune(there's a reason why he's not the singer) while, ironically, playing their tunes on his guitar perfectly with every note in sync, much to the despair to those who hear his voice, especially at 4 in the morning.
- He is unable to say "monster", instead pronouncing it as "munster". This applies to all words that have the 'on' sound in them, for no matter how hard he tries, he is unble to say it correctly.
- He has an odd stubbornness of never touching his food should he be given chopsticks to eat it with.(It's not that he's racist or whatever, it's just some unexplainable quirk; probably because he doesn't know how to use them and is too prideful.)
- Upon seeing something that catches his attention, he'd forget whatever he's doing and go immediately off to see what it is.
- Is able to speak English, Russian and German,( the latter two is not fluent however, sometimes messed up, leaving Stef saying something that makes completely no sense what-so-ever if translated) in their respective accents, sometimes a British one with his English.
- He likes to collect things from their tours or experiences and put them in glass jars (which has become a considerably large collection) separately, and pulls them out to think back whenever he's upset.
- He is unable to watch any 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' movie, or any film with chipmunks for the matter. For he has been attacked(barely, just enough to scar) by a rapid chipmunk from being at the wrong place at the wrong time, leading him to this phobia of his. He doesn't find it humorous when this bit of information is used against him though.
History:
Stefan had a pretty normal childhood, two biological parents, one other sibling, a good neighborhood, popularity among his classmates, and well rounded education. It was all good, if you just took out the everyday fights between his parents that as it progressed, have led to broken vases and walls, angry stomping, pushing, screaming, and silent sobbing on dark nights. Because his parents cared about the appearance of the family, they did not file for a divorce, and a young Stefan had to endure the screaming behind the doors of his peaceful looking home.
He had a young sister, Abigail, who would be in the hospital every few months due to her weak health condition, to the point she became a permanent resident there by the time she was 8. He'd visit her whenever he could, and began to put distance between him and his parents, more focused on his sister. On the contrary, he became the main center of attention from his parents whenever they weren't fighting, as they couldn't even look at each other, unless one of them were staying with his sister at the hospital, or it appeared suspicious to the gossip hungry neighbors. This became the basis as to why he hated fights and any sort of disputes so much. He began to notice that his father was taking up drinking more often, and that he was barely home, either at work or at the hospital. His mother would just silently take long naps, ignoring whatever Stefan had to say unless she was in the mood to do so. Which wasn't very often. Their fighting stopped, but to Stefan, really, it had gotten even worse.
As soon as he hit 14, he began going through a rebellious phase, deciding to take up guitar, rock music, whatever that could defy his parents and probably try to get them together to "sit down with him and talk", when really, it was his intention to try to bring the two of them together again, and to have a 'real family'. Unfortunately for him, it didn't work, and it only caused his mother screaming at him, and falling in a deprived, depressed state; his father would yell at him too, and pushed him around every now and in his drunken state, taking it out on his mother once in a while. His mother soon went to visit Abigail more often, to the point she just disappeared when not returning from a over night stay. This put his father in an outrage, of course, frantically searching for her. Though, she never appeared in their lives again. This put an impact on the Volz family members. Abigail had gotten into a certainly worsened condition, where she was transferred to a better hospital, courtesy of his father. Now, pressured by another sudden change in his father, Stef tried to avoid him whenever possible, even today. Though, Stefan suspects that his father is probably still drinking, and he could only pray to God that he could let Abigail be safe in the man's hands, seeing as his owm mother couldn't even stay.
Stefan would go to see his sister Abigail every so or then, never keeping her waiting longer than 4 months. He'd go fly across countries just to make sure that he visits her, though, these are secret as he doesn't want to tell the others. Stefan hasn't heard from his dad in a long time, as he did not ever tell him of his career and occupation at the moment, so Stefan doesn't really know whether his father is dead, or still alive. All he knows that he needs to save up some serious amounts of cash in a separate bank account for his sister as he knows her condition would continue to worsen.
He met Kenzi [Kennedy Phelps] in High School -- immediately, Stef felt a strong attraction. He is unsure if it is Kenzi's natural charisma, but Stef has great respect for him, and has followed him far enough to become Vanilla Dream's guitarist, naturally falling in love with the instrument even during his rebellious period and getting extremely good at it. He is a part of creating Vanilla Dream as of what it is now with the additional members that he has come to look at like family. As they are continuing their road to fame, Kenzi's dream and goal, Stef has began to worry about how Abigail is doing, and is trying to decide as this is a crucial part of their careers together, and he doesn't have enough money for Abigail's future operations. However, he could only hope for the best, for Vanilla Dream is his current reality.
