There was a soft clank every few moments as Akayia's staff (which she was using as a walking stick) hit the road. Akayia gazed ahead and could see the city not far off.

"We will be in the city soon." Akayia told her companion.

The companion a tiny nature fairy named Sylvia didn't seem to be paying attention. She was singing in the fairy language as she fluttered around lost her her happy song until her eyes got sight of the city. The fairy's eyes went wide and she stopped her song with a gasp.

"It's so big!" Sylvia exclaimed.

Akayia just smiled. "That it is." She said.

Akayia and Sylvia continued down the road. It would be only moments before the guards and townsfolk would see the two.

Akayia had entered the city the night before to stares and glares. She immediately had felt like an outsider and it didn't help when a sour looking guard walked up to her. He very clearly layed out the rules about where her fairy companion could not go. Akayia managed to keep her cool and more importantly have Sylvia keep hers. Akayia spent the night in an inn making sure to get a room with a view of the tree that Sylvia rested in.

Day had broken now and Akayia was up early. She spent some time in her room going though several trianing exercises to keep loose and ready herself for the day ahead. She had heard of the Festival happening this evening and figured it would be a good way to meet the townsfolk. But that was hours from now and it was time to find something to eat.

Akayia took her staff in hand and headed out into the fresh air and sunshine. Sylvia soon followed in tow and the pair walked until they found a cafe. Sylvia started to follow Akayia in but remembered the rules and with a sad sigh waited outside.

"Don't worry I'll get you something too" Akayia told Sylvia as she walked into the cafe. Sylvia just nodded sadly.

Akayia looked around the cafe and noticed a young man. Akayia walked up to the man and asked "Do you own this place?"

Atlas got up early in the morning as usual and went down to the bakery and grabbed breakfast for himself and Elwin, but just as he was leaving his store manager said that they were behind on decorating the cookies for the booth at the festival. So Atlas delivered Elwin his breakfast and explained that he had no choice but to go into work for a little while and to come to the cafe at lunch time to visit and he should be done by that time.

By the time lunch rolled around, Atlas was indeed done decorating the cookies and had time to sit and read in th cafe for a while before Elwin was due to show up. He had been sitting for a while when a young woman walked up to him and asked if he owned the place. Atlas thought it must have been the apron he was wearing that gave it away. "Yes, I do, Did you need something?" He asked the woman standing in front of him.

Akayia rested against her staff as the man confirmed that he was the owner. She noticed too that the man seemed quite busy. "You look busy good sir but I was hoping to get something to eat for myself and my friend outside" she said with a glace to the door. She hoped Sylvia would be ok on her own.

Meanwhile outside Sylvia epped and hid behind a box when the woman spoke to her.
" I'm...um...not allowed.... waiting....for human friend...inside" she explained nervously.

Atlas listened to the woman as she spoke, he was supposed to be done for the day but figured he could take one more order before Elwin arrived. "What can I get for you? We have tea's, coffees, milk, and toomany desserts and treats to list. Theyre all displayed in that case just over there though. " He said as he got up and pointed to the display case. He then walked behind the counter and giving her a moment to look at the case. "So? What can I get for ya?" He asked again

"Green tea and um...." Akayia started as she looked over the items " I am new to this area perhaps you have a specialty around here I should try?"

Akayia paused and looked to the door "As for my friend...well she is a fairy so I need something she can handle if you have such?"

Akayia hoped he wouldn't refuse to feed her fairy friend as she had promised to get her something.

"Alright so a green tea then." Atlas said as he started preparing the drink. "As for specialties, a lot of people come here to try the chocolate cream horns. So its worth a try. And for your fairy friend, well im afraid we dont have anything that tiny, but we do have mini lemon scones that I'm sure you could break into pieces for your little friend." Atlas said with a smile. He finished up her drink and set it on the counter for her. "So did you decide on treats yet?" He asked.

"Hmm that sounds perfect!" Akayia said with a smile.

Akayia wanted to ask a few more questions but she noticed another coming up so she just asked, " How much do I owe you sir?"
Akayia leaned her staff against the counter as she pulled out her money bag the clinging of coins heard as she opened the bag.

Elwin had finally got to the cafe when he say a fairy flying about. He tilted his head before smiling and walking in. He say his sister waiting to talk to Atlas but he was talking to some other girl. He looked to the side and saw Rowan, the guy his sister was marrying tomorrow and possibly pregnant for. He gave approval all over again when he say the snowman. He was very pale in contrast to Atlas. Walking up to Rowan he sat down where Roshia was sitting. "So you are the lucky guy who snagged the girl who said she would never marry, lucky you. I am Elwin, Roshia's twin." He said holding out his hand and shaking it. He leaned in and whispered, "I know about the whole situation and wanted to thank you for doing what you did. She was in a real pickle and you literally saved her." He sat back and laughed.

Atlas was putting the cream horn and the scone for the young woman in a bag when he saw Roshia come up behind her, then a few seconds later Elwin walked through the door. "Ah, don't worry about it. Think of it as a welcoming gift, just come back again some time" He said as he handed her the bag of treats. "I gotta go, but it was nice meeting you, hope you have a wonderful time in the city!" He said before he darted away from the counter, with coffee in hand for Elwin. He stopped first to talk to Roshia though, as she had been waiting. "Good afternoon, Roshia, Congratulations on the wedding. Was there something i can do for you?" He asked with a smile.

Roshia thanked him and turned, hurrying over to the girl before she left the cafe. "Hi! I am Roshia and I was wondering if you happen to be a priest? If not I am so sorry, but if you are could you do me the biggest favor? I am getting married tomorrow and am desperately looking for someone to wed us. I will pay whatever you charge! ." She begged.

Elwin smiled, he was indeed a good guy. He watched as his sister ran towards the girl behind Atlas, "The only one I know is the one at the church, but he does this prayer thing for the summer tomorrow, but it looks like Roshia might have that figured out." He chuckled, watching his sister beg a random stranger, before glancing at Atlas and then going back to looking at his sister.

Akayia barely had time to say "Thank you sir!" Before the owner had ran off.
Akayia just shrugged taking her bag of eats and staff and started for the door. She was about to the door when the lady that was behind her in line came up and spoke to her.
It took Akayia a few seconds to register what all the young woman was asking. "I um well not really a priestess per say... I am Akayia a monk from the Temple of the Four Winds. I have seen others of my order wed people...and I can though I have never done one....In all truth I am barely out of my training. Does your town not have a clergy of it's own more qualified?"

Roshia frowned. "No, our only one is booked for some prayer thing. Sorry to have bothered you." She said quietly before returning to Rowan and saw Elwin. "Oh, hey. Stop trying to steal my man, you have your own." She teased, forcing a smile on. She was officially stressed. Elwin laughed, "I promise I am not, are you okay?" She said nothing, but smiled.

"Hey wait!" Akayia called to Roshia as she rushed to catch up to her. "I didn't say I wouldn't do it. If you need my services I'm happy to help...we will just need to discuss the details and go over any personal vows and all before the wedding."
There was a bit of nervousness in her voice but she kept a straight face. "Oh and don't worry about pay my only request is that the wedding can be done somewhere my fairy friend Sylvia can be as well."

Roshia had turned around and looked at the monk girl. "We can do that with you! It is no problem. We are having it by the lake and it is free to have your cute little fairy there. I am sure my mother would die to see her. We haven't seen one since I was a kid. Anyway this is my fiance, maybe we can talk sometime before the wedding tomorrow... or is that too late?" Roshia had placed a hand on Rowan's shoulder gently.

Elwin had saw the face Atlas made, but pretended he didn't see it. He didn't know how to feel about it. When Atlas walked over to him and placed his coffee next to him Elwin smiled. "Hey" He said looking up.

Atlas smiled at Elwin. He felt a tad uncomfortable intruding on the wedding planning so he tried to think of something to excuse them from the Cafe. He thought for a second and it finally came to him. "Hey, they just opened up the beach for the summer...You wanna go swimming before the party portion of the festival starts?" He asked Elwin quietly while Roshia spoke to the other woman.
He wondered why there was such a rush for the wedding, especially since no one had seemed to know that the two were even courting. He pushed the curiosity out of his mind for the moment and turned back to Elwin.

Rowan watched as the woman in the monks robes ran back up to Roshia and said that she would marry them. "I'm Rowan, Its nice to meet you, I'm sure we can find some time to talk about the details now if neither of you are too busy at the moment. Atlas was the last person i needed to check in on for festival arrangements, and I think its safe to assume hes got everything ready to go." Rowan said.

Roshia slipped her hand off of him and pulled a seat up for the monk and she sat in the her original seat. "Sure, I am free. Wait, what about your fairy? Go give her what you bought her. We can make this quick. What exactly do you need to know?" Roshia asked, never looking at Rowan the whole time. Her hands were under the table. She played with the ring before pulling if off and just holding it. She was nervous.

"Anytime is fine but yes I should go see to Sylvia." Akayia said before heading to the door. " Be right back!" She added before heading out.

"What took so long?" Pouted Sylvia as she saw Akayia.

"I was just asked to do a wedding...." Akayia started

"WEDDING! I LOVE WEDDINGS!" Shouted Sylvia so loud they could most likely hear her inside the cafe and half a block away.

"Yes, yes." Said Akayia with a chuckle. "Now I have to go back in and talk to them for a bit but I got you this..."

Akayia broke up Sylvia's food and gave it to her.

"Thank you! Thank you! " The happy fairy said before diving into her meal.

Knowing Sylvia was lost to her food Akayia headed back into the cafe. "Well she is definitely happy now." Akayia said as she took her place at the table.

Rowan

Rowan smiled at the monk. "Well I'm glad your little friend is happy now. Sorry she cant come in, but I'm afraid its the rules in the city.."He said before looking over at Roshia, something was off with her. Rowan decided to ask her about it later. Rowan began telling the monk about the wedding venue, time, and the music he had set up earlier, and that it would be a pretty simple, laid back kind of thing.

Ofelia had finished her chores for the day and so she headed inside and took a shower before laying out her pale blue Dress and Jewelry. She tied her hair up into a braided bun and put on simple eyeliner, mascara, and blush and a subtle berry pink lip stick. Once she had gotten dressed and ready to go she put on her favorite fragrance and set out to town. Ofelia was very nervous, she hadnt ever sang in front of this many people before. Upon arriving at the festivals main center, she saw a booth that the local tavern had set up. She decided a drink to calm her nerves wouldnt be a terrible idea. "Hello? Got anything to calm nerves that wont leave me feeling tipsy?" She asked the man behind the booth.

Roshia sat through most the discussion. She talked when she needed to, but she excused herself before leaving and walking out of the cafe. She needed to get away. She wasn't feeling too well anyway. Roshia worked her way through people and headed for the village. She couldn't stand to be in the city for another moment. Just as she got to the lake she hid behind a tree and puked her stomach. "I don't know if it is the nerves or you." She said, talking to her unborn child. She ran her hand over her stomach. She made her way to the tree line that separated her family's property and the public. Roshia sat down behind the tree so no one could see her.

Akayia listened intently to Rowan making mental notes and adding in a "that sounds good" here and there. It was like this for some time until Roshia excused herself and walked out. Akayia frowned as she left then looked to Rowan " Is she alright? I didn't offend her or anything I hope."

"The people in this town move so fast..." Akayia muttered as she was left alone. She sighed and started to munch on her own food as she grabbed up her staff and headed back out into the city. Sylvia was napping but Akayia tapped her gently and she woke up rubbing her eyes.
"Let's go check out the Festival." Akayia suggested
Sylvia nodded and fluttered close behind Akayia as the two walked on to the Festival grounds. "So bright so pretty!" Sylvia said as she pointed out all the festive banners and ribbons.
"Yes it is quite the sight." Agreed Akayia as they made thier way around looking at the various booths.

"well its too warm here for me to keep ice dragons, they tend to overheat and become lethargic, the ones you're thinking of must be the water dragons, they look that way so that the blend into the water when the swim to evade predatory fish. I will have few of those hatching any day now, so if youre set on that breed, you wont have to wait very long to take one home!" Ofelia smiled at him and thanked him again for the drink. A woman working the music a the festival came up and told Ofelia her song wouldbe playing soon and that she needed to get ready. "I guess I'll see you later then about the dragon, good luck with the booth!" She said before walking away and disappearing behind the stage.

A few songs later the announced that fireworks would start soon after the next song. Ofelia stepped out on stage moments later, her nerves steadied by the drink she had moments earlier. The mayor had stepped out too and introduced her as the final musical act before the fireworks. Th mayor stepped off stage and Ofelias music started, she took a deep breath and began singing her Song. She sang effortlessly and beautifully, not once missing a single note, her face staying soft and pretty, without a hint of nervousness in her eyes. She looked graceful and in her element while singing. When her song was over, she bowed as the crown cheered, and just as she left the stage and made her way away from the stage and the crowd of music listeners, the fireworks show began with a large and vibrant firework.
