Nasir backed his stuff along with some tools before going into the city and renting a carriage to go to the castle. He had planned all night for what he was going to tell Marcus and what exactly he was going to do to these guys. He hadn't told anyone he was leaving, he knew they would try to stop him or want to know why. Roshia would have willingly gone, but she was pregnant for his or Rowan's baby... and he couldn't put her in that kind of harm. As the ride stretched out he thought over and over about what exactly he was going to do to them. He was so angry.
The carriage pulled up at the front of the castle where two guards came forward.
What do you want with the king? One asked. He was shorter than him, like most people.
"It is the prince I need to talk to." He said. They looked him over.
What do you need to speak to the prince for?Nasir was getting annoyed.
"A private matter." You can wait in the entrance while one of us gets him.Nasir didn't even fight them on it and walked in.
Marcus was eating, and occasionally feeding and teasing Erorn when there was a knock on his door. Marcus froze for a moment before gently grabbing Erorn's hand hand moving him over to a room connected to his. It was a small nook area, but people by the door couldn't see that way.
"Shh, I will be right back." He whispered and kissed his forehead before getting dressed and walking out of his room and closing the door behind him.
"This better be good." He said sternly.
There is a very tall blond elven man wanting to speak to you about private matters.Marcus already knew who they were talking about. He could see Nasir towering over one of the other guards when they walked into the entrance room.
"Nas, my man. How are you?." Nasir smiled,
"Hello, Marcus. I am sorry to bug you so early, but I need to speak to you in private about some important and personal issues." Marcus knew that look. Something bad happened. He ushered Nasir to his room and told the guards his personal guard was in the next room and to leave his hall.
When they walked in Marcus went up to Erorn and smiled.
"This is a good friend of mine. This is Elwin's brother, Nasir." He turned to Nasir. Nasir said his hellos.
"Nasir this is Erorn. May he stay?" Nasir nodded,
"Whatever we speak about doesn't leave this room, got it?" They both nodded.
They took their seats and Nasir began.
"Someone dear to me has told me some stuff that had happened to her about nine or ten years ago. I know it is kind of late to seek justice, but justice wasn't served. My friend was... uhm..." He tried to find a different word to use.
"sexually assaulted by five guys. Her father tried to get them, but their families have all moved to the kingdom. She was only fourteen, Marcus. These guys were around eighteen... if not older. What I plan on doing... I am going to need your help. I know... I know it is risky, but it needs to be done. I need to know that these men aren't out there anymore and doing harm on someone else... or ever return to the islands." Marcus saw the look in his eyes. He was scared, angry, and desperate.
"I can't have things like this go unpunished in my land. I believe that you. I know you can tell if someone was lying to you. So what is it you need me to do for you?" He asked. He hoped Erorn didn't think we was a monster after this.
Nasir nodded,
"I have their names. I need access to records to see where they stay and a place that is secluded and around no one so I can get them there. It isn't going to be pretty, Marcus."Marcus shook his head,
"I can let you have access to the records... and I know a place. I don't want what you are going to do to be pretty. I want these men to beg for death. What are their names?""Harrison Teslin, James Carson, Abram J.Payne, Virgil Snider, and Vincent Crane. Vincent Crane is the leader. They did all this because he asked to court her and she said no. My blood is boiling. All I know is that them and their families have moved here after the incident." He gripped the arms of the chairs.
Marcus nodded,
"You can stay here until I get that place set up for you. I have another room in my hallway you can stay." Nasir thanked him and Marcus ushered him to his room before coming back. He looked at Erorn, his face softening.
"I hope you don't think of me as a monster... or rather more of a monster than I already am. I trust him, though... and you know how hard it is for me to trust anyone."
