Harry A. Kirkson's Story

Ivie looked at him like sitting down would bring impending doom but did so anyway. She tried to breath but her hands were shaking. Forrest was running his hand over the textures really fast and laughed. "Cool." He whispered and then looked up at his mother and then at Blair. "Mommy okay?" He asked. Ivie smiled softly, "Momma is a-okay." She said softly and jumped when she heard the knock on the door. "Oh god... weird thing is I used to actually look forward to seeing my family, but now..." She shook her head and got up, gently taking Forrest, and walked out before opening the door slowly.

There, standing in the doorway, was her family. Her father, mother, sister, and brother. They all smiled apologetically but her father had a somewhat stern look. Forrest looked at all of them before resting his head on her shoulder. "Hey dear..." Her mother said. "Hi, mom." She said softly and let them all in.

Blair watched Ivie jump when there was a knock on the door and he wished there was something he could do to help her calm down, though he figured even if he tried really hard, nothing would calm her nerves. He watched her walk to the door and open it up. He got up, walking into the other room and rested a reassuring hand on Ivies back. "Hello, Im Blair, its nice to meet all of you." He said ith a smile.

The women looked up at Blair when he came in and about died. "Hello." They said together and the men just rolled their eyes. "Hello." They said after. The air was tense and it was awkwardly silent. Jasmine sighed, "Well since no one is talking I guess I will start off. I am Jasmine, Ivie's older sister. Your son is flipping cute and I want him so badly. I could just... ugh... run away with him. The glaring man with long hair is our older brother, Daniel. Excuse him, we will get back to why he is glaring later. The other man is our father, Harry, and the gorgeous woman next to him is our mother, Bella." She said.

Ivie nodded, "The tall man, as you have heard, is Blair. He is a cop.. I think I said that in the letters I sent to mom. This little gut is Forrest." She said and he waved somewhat before looking at Blair and reaching out to him. Ivie gave him to Blair and looked back. Her father was the one to step forward and hugged his daughter. Ivie tensed, not really wanting to hug him back, and she didn't. He had hurt her the most. She had looked up to him, a daddy's girl through and through, and he threw her out the moment she needed him the most. Her mother could see the hurt and anger in her little girl's face and she gently touched her husband's shoulder.

"I am so sorry Ivie... you have no idea how much I hate myself for doing what I did." He said. She could feel the tears soaking into her shirt and she realized he was crying. It made her uncomfortable because she wasn't really ready to forgive him, like she was for the others. Ivie backed away and looked at the rest of her family, "Come.." She said and let them sit. She sat in a chair, letting Blair keep Forrest since it seemed he was comfortable with him. It was quiet again and her father didn't get angry that she had pretty much ignored his apology.

"First thing," Jasmine said, "we get hating mom and dad, but why did you throw away me and Daniel?" She asked. Daniel just nodded. "We would have happily taken you in with us. You could have stayed in our apartment. We wanted to be in Forrest's life." She said.

Ivie looked down at her hands and then at Blair as if he held the answer but he didn't, she knew. "I couldn't stay in the village anymore. The stares were horrid and... I wanted Forrest to have his father in his life. Atlas didn't know that I was pregnant. He is here on the island with us... Forrest loves him... and if it hurt too much to keep ties with you or Daniel. I just assumed you would take their side since they so willingly blindsided me by throwing their daughter, who needed them the most, out." She said the last bit coldly. Harry looked away, glaring at the window while his wife looked down at her own hands.

"But we didn't want to be cut off, Iv!" Daniel said a bit too loudly and Forrest started to tear up.

Ivie looked over at Blair, "can... can you take him to the room please?" She asked softly.

Blair could definitely feel the tension in the room. It as damn near worse than some days in the interrogation room were. He listened as Jasmine explained who everyone was, though he had stayed quiet for all of it. He took Forrest when he reached for him and held him close to him, he could already feel that Forrest knew things were tense too. When they went to sit down Blair stayed with Forrest of course, letting him play with his watch until Ivie's brother decided to raise his voice, which made Forrest tear up, which caused Blairs eyebrow to twitch a little bit. He nodded at Ivie though and went to take Forrest to another room. "You want to play with dinosaurs? Yeah? Okay, I call the T-rex though." He said as they disappeared down the hallway and went into Forrests room to play and calm him down.

They watched Blair leave and looked back at Ivie. She dealt with her mother and father before, she could do it again for Forrest's sake. "Look, at the time I was eighteen. I didn't have really have a fucking support system and you two were fucking gone. I had no way of contacting you two and also was in the midst of trying to figure out how I could support my damn self and my baby. It isn't like you two tried to fucking contact me either. I did THIS... all on my own. I got me a WONDERFUL and SUPPORTIVE man who love me and our son. I am marrying him on the twentieth and couldn't be happier. I own my own business and run a daycare WITH hired help. I absolutely HATE Harry, because you lost that father title LONG time ago." She said angrily, tears in her eyes. "I have dealt with enough shit to last me a lifetime I have done nothing but try and give my son a happy life. I am sorry you two had to suffer because of them, but I had to do what was best. If it wasn't for Blair I would have never answered that letter." She said and looked at her parents. "You two fucking WRECKED me. I trusted you two. You were my fucking parents and instead of helping you threw me out to the fucking wolves. I don't know how the hell you could have done that now that I have Forrest. I could NEVER do that. No matter how pissed and angry I am... he is MY FLESH AND BLOOD." She said.

Harry's jaw tightened as she talked. He could understand her anger and her hate, but his wife didn't deserve such treatment. He got up and on his knees in front of her, "I get you are hurt, but don't take this out on your mother and siblings. I was the one who made your mother choose. Was it the right one? No.. but once you had the baby your mother TRIED and I wouldn't let her. My pride was so far up my ass... I have made the worse mistake of my life and I can never pay enough for it. I will leave if I have to so you can work on your relationship with the rest, but please... please don't hate your mother." He begged.

Ivie blink, confused as to why he was doing this. Never in her life had she seen him beg like this. Before Ivie knew it she was crying. "I don't hate mother. I hate you. Just you. I ADORED you... you were my world... I slip up once and I am thrown out like trash. I had done nothing but be the best for you... I want you out of my house. The others can stay." She said coldly. Harry blinked before nodding. "As you wish." He said and stood before standing and looking at the rest. "I will be at the inn if you need me." He told them and walked out.

The other stared at her, "You... really hate him?" Daniel asked and Ivie nodded before wiping her tears away.

He and Jasmine got up before hugging her. Bella stayed, feeling like she didn't deserve her daughter's warm hug. She did however look back where Blair and Forrest with. "Can we... go see the two? Also tell us more about Blair." She said with a small smile. She nodded and lead them to his room while telling them everything.

They walked in and Forrest looked up mid rawr when he saw Daniel and slowly crawled into Blair's lap. Daniel smiled softly before going over to him and stooping down. "Hey buddy, I am sorry I scared you. Uncle Dannie was just super sad he never got to see you. He was so excited to hear your momma was going to have you, but super sad she never let me around, but hey.. you wanna see a magic trick?" He asked. Forrest looked up at Blair before back at Daniel and nodded.

Daniel moved his hands around and reached behind his ear before pulling out a coin. "Tadaa! This is yours, buddy." He smiled and Forrest's eyes grew. "How dat get there?!" He asked before reaching behind his ear and laughing. "Uncle... Dannie... this is Daddy Bear! He is a copper and puts bad people away. He loves momma and Roars with her a lot at night!" He giggled.

Blair looked back up when people came to the room, and he rubbed his back reassuringly when he crawled back into him lap. Dannie didnt seem bad when he wasnt yelling, and he was obviously trying with Forrest. The magic trick was pretty neat, Forrest seemed completely bewildered which made Blair smile. Then he started introducing his as Daddy Bear, which was adorable, and told them he was a copper, which was also adorable. What came out of his mouth next was not so adorable though. But Blair showed absolutely no signs of being phased by it. Hoping that no one else would draw any more attention to the apparent roaring that Forrest would not stop telling people about. He did glance up at Ivie though, wondering what kind of reaction she was going to have to what Forrest had said.

Bella leaned down when she heard her grandson talk about the roaring and whispered, "A good looker, treats you with respect, and great in bed? He is also great with your son. I am a jealous woman, but not as jealous as Jas is right now." She giggled and Ivie turned all kinds of red before looking at Jasmine who was melting. "Blair, dear... do you have any children of your own? Or is this the first time you have ever been with one?" She asked.

Daniel went with Forrest as he showed him his collection and how he loved this little girl name Arrow. Jasmine fell in love with that name, "Ivie, who is this baby name Ivie and where can I find her? That is such a gorg name." She smiled. Ivie laughed softly, "She comes to the daycare and they fell in love at first sight. It is adorable, he hides her sometimes when he doesn't want her to go." She laughed.

Blair saw Ivie turn red and about turned red too, they had definitely caught on to the roaring. He watched Forrest walk off to show Daniel some things and he stood up, listening to Jasmines question. "I dont have any children of my own, but when I was lived at home I had a niece who was always around. But, I wasnt particularly experienced with children before Forrest." He explained. He hoped they wouldnt ask any more of that. He'd just have to tell them he left home to study at the police academy if they did. "The first time I have Forrest a bath I was convinced he was somehow going to drown..." He said and rubbed the back of his neck with a sheepish grin.

Today was the big day for Ivie. Between her, a very pregnant Kensie, and Autumn they got everyone dressed. Arrow was just a puff ball and Forrest was a damn mini Blair and it was killing her. When all was said and done they got into positions and Ivie was the first one to go down the aisle, then Kensie, and now the two young ones. When they were halfway down, Cora gasps, "Sitting in a tree!" She yelled and Loris about died. Forrest stopped, which cause Arrow to wobble. "Yes we are!" He said and continued walking with a wobbly Arrow who giggled all the way down. Autumn held her, but she started crying when he walked away. "Shh, Arrrow.. I am right here... it is okay." He said and she stopped, having everyone aww at them. Roshia leaned into Rowan. "That is gonna be them in like... seventeen years." She giggled. Next Ivie began to walk with her father down the aisle. She had managed to stop hating him and even got him to walk her down the aisle.

Blair was in some kind of panic for a little while and ended up with an Adrian trying to calm him down, which wasnt doing much but making Blair question whether or not Adrian actually knew what it was like to be nervous. But eventually he calmed down a little, he was mainly worried about messing things up in the middle of the wedding like forgetting to say things he was supposed to and things like that. But it got time to stand and wait for Ivie so he went. He couldnt help but laugh at the kids being completely ridiculous about sitting in trees with each other, and when Ivie came out it felt like time had completely stopped and tears started to form in his eyes. She was the most beautiful woman in the whole world, and she was going to be his for the rest of his life. His first instinct was to run over, pick her up and run off with her like some kind of goof. But he was good and stayed where he was. The ceremony went on and they said their vows and kissed, and were pronounced husband and wife, and Blair could not have been happier in that moment. He walked with her off to the reception, a big smile on his face. "Sooo hows it feel to be a married lady?" He asked as he held her hand.
