Lenandel smirked as he took the coin purse from the man, immediately pocketing it. They were in a rented room at the local inn, and his sister Keona was just outside the door, keeping an eye out for people on the outside and an ear out for the two of them on the inside. "I assure you, that will not be a problem," he replied calmly. "The girl is as good as yours. Where would you like her delivered? Keeping to the city is too conspicuous and damn foolish if you ask me, too many people looking for her and too many people to recognize her," he continued. He'd had delivery jobs botched before because the drop point was too close to where they'd started out and he was not eager to go there again.

The man nodded, "That is what I like to hear. I want her at Jerrical. There is a tavern called Fluggins. Ask for Marshall and he will bring you to a place where I will be at, got it?" He asked.

Jerrical was much farther than Lenandel had expected the man to say, but though he raised an eyebrow in surprise, he also nodded. "I know the place. Don't know the guy, though. We'll get it done," he said. He knew that he and Keona could handle the job. It was simple, really - the girl was tiny and non-threatening, so their only problems would be law enforcement. If they got a good head start before anyone realized she was missing, though, it shouldn't be a difficult trip to Jerrical. Easy money. He liked it.

Tonight was the night she left. She kissed her mother and ran down the secret passage. Iridessa was nervous, but she was so excited at the same time. The days seem to slowly tick off and now she was finally, taking over her own life. She was going to sing and perform for thousands, given they wanted to hear. She only took one bag of stuff, since she didn't need many when her aunt had a good bit of her stuff that they mailed off or money the gave her to get her things like clothes.

When she got to the exit she saw the carriage and smiled widely, but then the smell of iron hit her and she froze. Something was wrong. It was eerily quiet too. Every hair on her body stood and she took a step back, ready to run.

Tonight was the night they grabbed the girl. It had taken them several days of planning to formulate their plan, and Keona had been the one to figure out the big break since intercepting some correspondence between Iridessa and a trusted carriage driver of hers. Apparently, Iridessa had decided to run away. They didn't know why, nor did they much care, all they knew was the when and where. They'd waited at the pick-up point for the carriage to arrive, and then Lenandel had snatched the driver and killed him. While Keona kept watch for Iridessa, Lenandel was disposing of the body. Keona softly cursed when she saw the girl emerge only to freeze. The girl was perceptive. She could tell that something was wrong.

"She's here?" came Lenandel's soft voice from behind her, and Keona nodded. "Yeah," she said in a soft voice. The pair exchanged a look, thinking for a second. They'd expected the girl to just climb into the carriage, which they'd then hop on and go. She wasn't, though. "I'm going to creep around behind her," Keona said in a soft voice, "and get between here and the entrance to that passage. You wait until I'm ready and then approach her - if she turns and runs, I've got her."

Lenandel nodded slightly. "Yeah, that sounds good," he said. Keona was smaller, so it made sense for her to be the one to creep up behind the girl. Silently, Keona started forward, keeping to the bushes and then the wall behind Iridessa so that she wouldn't see her in her peripheral vision, and once she was in an ideal spot to grab the girl and keep her from retreating to her little secret passageway, Lenandel stepped out from the bushes. He eyed Iridessa closely, taking a few side steps in the direction of the carriage. "Is this yours?" he called out in a low voice, trying to hide the smirk that toyed at his lips.

Iridessa saw the man come into view and slowly looked him up and down if she didn't fear he was going to kill her she would have thought he was rather hot, but now wasn't the time. When he asked if this was hers she blinked, "Well no, it's for you, princess." She said her voice a bit shaken.

She knew he couldn't be alone. Iridessa might have looked dumb, and she might have been a little, but one thing she knee is that they always had someone with them. It was finding where the other one was. If they were smart the would have the entrance to the tunnel covered. Darting to one of the sides were going to have to happen. She swayed to one side like she was going to run before dropping her bag and dashing the other way. Guards should have been on duty. "Guards! Guards help!" She screamed before dashing through the trees, hoping he was too big to move so easily.

Lenandel was surprised by the sarcastic little quip that left the girl's lips. If he wasn't so focused on the job, he'd likely have laughed. He trusted Keona to grab the girl once she had the chance, but the girl faked Keona out, causing his sister to move in one direction only to have to turn and dart off in the other direction after the girl. He knew that Keona was faster than him - not stronger, but faster - so letting her pursue the girl would probably be his best bet. The girl was small enough that Keona should have no trouble restraining her once she caught her, which meant that Lenandel could focus on the approaching guards that had just rounded the corner after hearing Iridessa call for them.

While Lenandel stayed back to fight off the guards, Keona dashed after Iridessa. She could see the wispy little blonde through the trees. She was fast, but Keona knew that she was faster - she had more physical training, after all, and longer legs. She was steadily gaining on the girl, a slight smirk on her lips. This wasn't what she'd expected to have to do to get her, but the run was definitely appreciated.

If it was one thing her dad did her good by was making sure she knew how to get away if her life depended on it... like now. She looked back at a woman chasing her and catching up, fast. Iridessa beelined until the woman was close enough and then she slipped into a drop tunnel that was made to hide. She laughed when she got away and chugged through the water before hiding out.

Keona smirked. She was finally closed enough to the girl. She took only a moment to ready herself before lunging forward...and suddenly, the girl was gone from right in front of her. "Fuck!" Keona cursed angrily, looking around. She must have gone down, that was the only thing to explain it. A few prods of Keona's foot confirmed that - there was a hidden hole in the ground that must have led into some sort of underground cave or tunnel system. She didn't know where the thing would come out, only that she was going to find out. She slipped into the tunnel, landing with a splash. It was dark, so she couldn't see anything around her, but she could listen - if the girl was in the water, she'd have to make some sort of sound.

Iridessa heard her come down, she knee she wouldn't have made it to the house so she hid behind a large rock and tried to control her breathing. Her hand went over a smooth rock, large enough to throw, and did so in the opposite direction of where the house was. She threw it and hoped she hit that woman but also that it would give her enough time to get away.

Keona could hear a faint noise but she couldn't quite pinpoint where it was coming from. Suddenly, something hit her in the arm and she winced. "Fuck!" she shouted. She figured the only thing it could have been was a rock, luckily one smooth enough not to have cut her or anything. She might have a bit of a bruise in the morning, though. She immediately started in the direction it had come from, knowing that had to be where the girl was. Already, her mind was racing to her brother. She knew that the guards would have been no problem for him, but where would he go next? He surely wouldn't find them down here. They'd arranged a meeting spot in case something went wrong and they were separated, but Keona wasn't too keen on heading to the meeting spot with the girl, even if it was the dead of night and only those guards - probably dead now - knew she was out here.

Iridessa made the mistake of laughing and began to run. If she could just get into the house she could lock the woman down here and run, but she couldn't see as well and tripped. She hurried to get up and before she knew it she was at the house, but getting to the door was taking forever because she had to climb. "Shit shit shit..." She whispered.

Keona, whose eyes were finally adjusting to the dark, heard laughter after her exclamation of pain. She almost breathed a sigh of relief before taking off after her. After a moment she could hear the girl's breathing up ahead as she ran, and Keona suspected that something had slowed the girl down - perhaps she'd tripped, or perhaps simply gotten mixed up about her directions. Keona could faintly make out the pale shape of the girl against what appeared to be a ladder, and a smirk came to the woman's lips. She caught up with ease, reaching up and grabbing the little blonde girl by the waist. "Gotcha," she said with a laugh as she pulled the girl down, quickly wrapping one arm around the girl's upper body - pinning her arms to her sides - and using the other to cover her mouth.

Iridessa tensed and was going to scream before her mouth was covered. She was so close, maube if she had thrown another rock. Iridessa squirmed and tried to get free but the damn woman was so fucking strong.

Keona smirked slightly, pleased to have almost singlehandedly caught the girl despite the hiccough in their plan. She just wished the girl would stop squirming. "You'd do yourself a favour to calm down and stop squirming, honey. I can do this all day," she murmured in a low voice, smirking. "Now, tell me where this ladder's going to take us," she added. Her voice was rich and smooth with a slight accent, and slowly, she removed her hand from the girl's mouth, ready to cover it up again if she started to scream or do anything else besides tell her where the ladder would lead.

Iridessa looked at her, "To a small house, no one should be in it... and I don't hear those disgusting noises the guards make when their little friend is in here... so it seems to be empty. But the house is at the edge of the woods." She huffed. "Run away from one controlling asshole to two... whatever you people are. Can't you just let me go on my merry way if I double whatever price you are getting?" She asked.

Keona was relieved that the girl felt like cooperating now, and a slight smirk came to her lips when the girl offered to pay double whatever they were getting for her. "A sweet offer, but we'd rather not spend the rest of our lives being hunted down for failing to make good on a job," she replied. She glanced around slowly at the tunnel they were in, and then back at the girl. "Is there another way out of here, or is it just the ladder?" she asked. She was intrigued Iridessa's comment about the disgusting noises the guards made, but figured that was a question for another time - some night when she was up watching Iridessa to make sure she didn't run away, sitting around a campfire while Lenandel was in the tent sound asleep - or fucking some village girl, who knows.

Iridessa looked up at her, "I will answer your question if you tell me why I am being kidnapped. It seems only fair." She said. "Who the hell would want me anyway? If ya gonna just kill me you can do it right here and get it over with. No one would find me for... well until my body starts to decay." She said. All she wanted to do was live her own life and people just had to fucking but in and do as they will with her, but she was so close to freedom and she slipped right into the grip of two more people.

Keona smiled when Iridessa demanded to know why she was being kidnapped. It definitely seemed like a fair exchange of information. "Sure," Keona replied calmly. "You are being kidnapped because somebody is offering me and my brother a lot of money to deliver you to him. And don't even start with that 'who would want you' bullshit, because you're a catch and everyone knows it. You're pretty and small and young and pure - the perfect little victim. In the time we've been tracking you my brother's commented on more than one occasion that he wouldn't mind breaking you in himself if he was allowed to," she added with a slight snicker. "I have to say that you're a lot smarter and quicker than I'd expected, so I'm impressed. Now, is there a way out of here other than the ladder?"

She sighed, "Should have been born ugly and your brother can go somewhere else with his giant self. Uhh yeah only this ladder unless you wanna jump all night to try and get back out that hole." She said and then looked up at her and smiled like a dumb blonde would do, "Aww you think I am pretty and smalll and young and purrree?" Iridessa asked. "You gonna make me swoon." She said. Though she was acting this way deep down she was petrified. She didn't know who wanted her and she didn't want to be broken in by her brother. He looked like a beast and a half. If she stuck close to the girl she might have a chance.
