Appearance:
Ivie stands at four feet and eleven inches. Her hair is a medium brown and it goes just passed her breast. She usually has braided to the side. She is petite and curvy. Her eyes spring green.

Personality:
Ivie is a determine woman. She does what she has to do in order to provide for her and her son. She used to be a bit shy before him and laughed a lot more. She still laughs, just a bit less. Ivie loves her son unconditionally and is willing to do anything for him. Behind her broken heart is still gold.

  • Father- Harry Kirkson
  • Mother- Bella Kirkson
  • Older Brother- Daniel Kirkson
  • Older Sister- Jasmine Kirkson
  • Son- Forrest Hensley
History:
Ivie is the third child to Harry and Bella Kirkson. She has an older brother and sister, Daniel and Jasmine. Her parents have a tavern that has been passed down from generation to generation. Ivie was a fun and wild child. She loved to play outdoors and explore everything around her. Ivie was the apple of her father's eye. He put her on such a high pedestal. She was one of the smartest kid's in her class. She did was in multiple clubs and even helped out with the community.

Ivie visited the King and Queen to be honored by them for her hard work. When she wasn't out and helping people she helped her parents in their tavern as a waitress. Her father was the head bartender and her mother cooked. She loved working there. Ivie got to meet knew people and enjoyed the regulars. She hadn't expected to fall so fast for Atlas, the mysterious broken hearted man that came in almost every night. He was sweet and made her feel like she was special. But after one night everything changed. Atlas had a little more than he should have and Ivie decided to help help him home.

It was a mess, but she enjoyed it. He talked about the stars and how people never seemed to care about them anymore. Then he talked about his favorite books. They ended up walking everywhere trying to find his home and it was enough for him to sober up somewhat. Ivie hadn't expect to be kissed. She hadn't expected him to invite her in. And she hadn't expect to give herself away that night, but she did so willingly. The next morning when she woke he was gone. He didn't even leave a note. She was heartbroken, but she threw herself into her work and studies.

Ivie had been doing fine, she had gotten over that night, and was even holding an event for a local children's group when she started to get ill. After puking for a few days her friends suggested she was pregnant. She told them about that night and they decided to try and keep it secret for as long as possible. Her mother was the first to notice that she was wearing baggier clothes. At five months her mother told her father. They were disgusted with her and threw her out. They disowned her. She stayed with friends until the baby was born and worked with them until she left. She couldn't be there anymore and she had to find Atlas. He had to know his son and what he was missing out on. She hated him, but she wanted her son to have a father. So she moved and traveled until she found him on the islands.

So begins...

Ivie had just moved onto the lake island a few days ago. She was renting it from a nice elderly couple in the city. She had heard some rumors about Forrest's father being here and so she took leave from her old home and moved here.

She was taking a stroll with Forrest when she became lost, then Forrest had gotten away from her. She panicked and began looking for him. She had gotten to the village and peeked through windows seeing if maybe one of the villagers had him. It wasn't till she got to the one with lights on that she saw her baby and Atlas. She froze. She had been looking for him this whole time and then she ends up finding him and her lost baby at the same time.

Ivie done what any stupid mother would do and ran away. She was going to leave him there with his father, even if his father didn't know that he was his child.

Now she was up early and went to the a small cafe to get coffee before going back to the village. She still felt like crap for just leaving her child with random strangers, even as she walked in the cafe. When she looked up she saw Atlas again. He was smiling at customers as he took orders. She froze by the door before a lady cleared her throat for her to move.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" She said softly before stepping out of her way. She had no idea if he would recognize her or not, but she needed to get her coffee and get her son back. Ivie took her place behind the woman and waited her turn.

She would order his favorite, maybe it would spark something. "Hazelnut coffee, hot, extra whip cream with chocolate shavings and a cream horn, please." She said softly.

Atlas got up early in the morning as usual, and went to work baking things for the day. He had planned on checking in on Elwin but one of his workers showed up sick and he had to send her home. So Atlas worked the morning shift taking order and making drinks. He was making a drink when he heard a familiar voice order his favorite drink. He looked up to see Ivie, a young woman he had known before he moved to Veritas city. "Ah, good morning Ivie, long time no chat, what brought you up here?" He asked. He remembered that her parents owned a tavern he liked to go to when he was an awful depressed mess, but he didnt really remember why they quit talking, though he did end up moving shortly after they stopped talking in an attempt to move on with his life.

She froze, he remembered her, but if he remembered that night he didn't show. "H-Hi. Glad to see you are doing okay. I... I am looking for someone... my uhm... ha.. my son's father." She blushed looking down at her hands.

Atlas made her drink and put her cream horn on a plate for her and handed it to her. "Oh really? does he travel for work or something? How old is the kiddo?" He asked, he thought back to the little boy they had found in the woods and he was hoping his shift would end so he could see if anyone ended up going to the village to look for him.

Ivie kept her head down. "He is a year and a couple months old... he was with his father and some red headed gentleman last night." She whispered.

Atlas raised an eyebrow and leaned down so that he could see Ivie's face. "So....Why are we whispering?" He whispered back to her, smiling a little bit. He thought she was acting a little strange and he didnt really catch what she had said because it was loud due to the chatter in the cafe and the sounds of the kitchen as well.

Ivie wanted to laugh and slap him at the same time. So she tippy toed and whispered in his ear, "He is a year and a couple months old... he was with his father last night and a redheaded gentleman and blonde lady."

"A red headed man and a blonde lady? huh..." It took a minute for things to click in in Atlas' head. "DId you...By any chance..Happen to lose him last night in the woods by the lake?" He asked standing straight again. He wasnt thinking about the whole father thing yet because he was too focused on seeing if she was talking about Forest.

Ivie stared up at him. Was he always this stupid. "I did lose him, i searched everywhere and then I got to the village and peeked through windows for him. Then I saw he was with HIS FATHER... and decided to let him stay. I didn't think you would have murdered a cute little boy." She whispered.

"Wh- His father? The only people there we're Elwin, and hes gay, and Lily, and M-....Me...Oooh you've got explaining to do." Atlas walked from behind the counter, telling his workers that were there he had an emergency situation to deal with and he had to leave, then he took Ivie outside where it was quieter. "Ok...So explain...The kid Elwin found in the woods...Is mine? Why the hell didnt you tell me you were pregnant? I mean i know I left that morning before you got up but I had to go to work and then you avoided me like the plague. So I thought you just didnt wanna see me after what happened. It was months before I moved and you knew where to find me. You didnt think I would have liked to know i was going to have a son? I wouldnt have moved it I knew..." Atlas said, rambling mostly, it was a ton for him to take in considering he barely remembered that last night with Ivie. A thousand thoughts ran through his head all at once, he was a dad, and he had missed out on his sons first year of life. "Whats his name...?" He asked when he calmed down a touch.

Ivie walked with him outside and looked down, playing with her sweater till he had finished talking. She had planned this day out for over a year and yet here she was, tearing up. She was so angry. "Didn't want to see you?" She laughed in disbelief, "You are so damn dense, Atlas. I was in fucking love with you! Obviously you don't remember that night so let me clear it up for you. You were drunk, as usual, no shocker there. I decided to take you home because this time you were just a tad bit more drunk than usual. We ended up getting lost because you couldn't remember where you lived and I sure in the hell didn't know. We were lost for so damn long that you actually sobered up enough to head us in the right direction. YOU kissed ME."

She wiped her tears and moved away from him so she could lean against the wall. "Now that I think about it, I should have tucked your sorry ass in and left. Would have saved me a shit ton of heartache, but then I wouldn't have my baby. Anyway, you invited me in... and I am pretty sure you get what else went down. Towards the end of it all you called me Aleah... your fucking dead ass fiancee." She started laughing, even though she was crying. "Then to top it all off you left without even a fucking note. I lost my virginity to some shitass drunk because I was in love with him and got knocked up. Perfect. Oh oh and let's not forget that my family disowned me." She stopped looking at him then, her attention to her shoes and the small ant line going against the wall.

"So yeah, I didn't talk to you after. Kind of embarrassing to go up to the fucking douchebag who took your virginity and just kind of left you there. I was just barely eighteen, Atlas..." She shook her head. "Anyway by the time I found out I was pregnant I was in too much shock to tell you. Then you were gone... at first I wasn't going to look for you... I honestly hoped you were fucking rotting somewhere. But it wouldn't have been fair to my son if he didn't at least know his father. So yeah...his name is Forrest. He loves muffins and running away in the woods when you are out on a walk."

"I dont. I...What the hell was so appealing about a broken, sad, drunk sap in the first place. You cant act like all of that was my doing, you didnt exactly complain when i kissed you, you didnt have to come in, and you didnt need to take me home. No one MADE you do anything. I might have been a drunk, but i know damn well im not that kind of drunk. I didnt leave for nearly five months after that, and I tried to see you, but you were always conveniently "away" when i did. We both fucked up, me especially, but I missed out on my sons first year of life because you didnt want to say anything. I moved here because i needed a solid reason to stop being a drunken asshole who spends all his nights at a fucking tavern because i couldnt stand being alone with myself. If you would have told me you were pregnant I wouldnt have left and I can guarantee you i wouldn't have touched another drink again. But you didnt want to give me a chance. " Atlas said, his tone was a little harsh but he was honestly pissed off that she didnt tell him. He had to find out when his son was over a year old, when Ivie had months to tell him, and knew where to find him if she wanted to. Atlas let out a long sigh. "We can fight later if you want to, Forrest probably misses you...So lets go check on him okay?" He said and started walking down the street towards the village.

Ivie balled up her fist. She was going to beat his sorry ass, but she wasn't really the fighting type. She followed him to the village not saying anything. She was going to thank the redheaded man for taking good care of her son and she was going to leave. She missed him all night. When they got to the village she stopped him. "I am going to be taking him once I have thanked that pretty redheaded man... and maybe compliment his hair, because he deserves it." She whispered.

Atlas stopped her when she said she was going to take forest and leave after she thanked Elwin for looking after him. "Uhm. No youre not. Hes my son too. You dont get to tell me he exists and then just leave with him. I have a right to be in my son's life. Ive already missed too much of it...Please dont make me miss any more of it. Ive cleaned my life up, i dont drink, i own a successful business, and I'm happy for once, you dont really have a reason to keep him from me other than you dont just dont like me. And you said you wanted him to know me, I want to be in his life but i cant do that if you dont let me. " He said before walking up to Elwins door.

Elwin opened the door when he heard Atlas' voice, though he couldn't hear what was being said. "Oh, Atlas I am so... hello." He said when he noticed the small girl next to him. Forrest turned his head and started to bounce and repeat "mama" over and over till Elwin put him down. He waddled his way over to Ivie who had already bent down to pick him up. "My sweet baby boy. Next time I am putting you in the wrap. No more free time for you, mister." She tickled him and he laughed, hugging onto her.

She looked up at him, "Thank you so much for looking after him. I cannot thank you enough. Also.. your hair... I envy you a thousand times over." She said softly. She looked up at Atlas before drifting her eyes back down to the baby who she was bouncing on her hip.

"You are very welcome. He was a delight to have." He said softly, sad that he had to give him back to his mother. "If you don't mind... can you tell me his name?"

She looked up at him, "His name is Forrest and I am Ivie." She said smiling and he started laughing.

"That is perfect! I couldn't get a name out of him so I called him that too. Was it because of his eye?" He asked and she laughed nodding her head.

"They were a dark forest green when he was born that the name just came to me." She laughed.

Elwin opened the door before they had even knocked and so Atlas didnt get a response to what he said. He waved o Elwin, doing his best not to look as ticked off and overwhelmed as he was by smiling a little bit. He only looked at forest as Ivie and Elwin chatted with each other. Forrest certainly did look kind of like Atlas, there was no denying that fact. Atlas didnt know what to do though, he had no clue how to be a dad or how to raise a child, and Forrests mother seemed to hate his guts which made things harder, even though she had a reason to be mad. Atlas couldnt help but think of how Elwin was going to react to the news too, and that thought alone overwhelmed his head too.

Ivie looked up at Atlas before back to Elwin. "I just want to say thank you again. I think me and little Forrest are going to head out." She said softly before making him wave goodbye. Elwin laughed and waved, saying he hoped to see them again.

Atlas wathed Ivie walk away for a minute before turning around and jogging over to catch up to her where they were out of Elwins range of hearinf. He'd tell him later, himself. "Were you not listening to a thing I said? I want to be in Forests life, And you told me you wanted him to know his father. I cant prove to you that I really do want to be in his life if you keep him away from me, now can I? Just... I dont know, let me keep him for the rest of the day okay? Its my first time meeting him, Id like to actually see him...Please..?" Atlas pleaded with her. He didnt care if they didnt get along, he definitely wanted to be around his son. "You can come back later and take him home for the night...But i want to see him right now.."

Ivie turned to him and held him tightly. She did want him to be in Forrest's life and she was also scared of letting her baby go. "Fine... just... don't leave the lake island." She gave him to Atlas. Her eyes tearing up. "He looks so much like you..." She whispered, playing with his tiny hand.

"I wont, We'll stay in the village I promise" He said as he took Forrest in his arms. "We'll be at Elwins house so when you come back thats where you should go okay?" His eyes had been gluedto the baby in his arms but he managed to look up at Ivie. "Thanks...For letting me have him for a while. We will see you later then huh?" He said before looking back at Forrest again. "C'mon, I bet we've got a muffin for you somewhere, I hear you like muffins, I do too, theyre my favorite." He spoke softly to Forrest as they turned and walked back to Elwin. Grinning sheepishly at him before walking into the house, "You're gonna wanna sit down for this..." He said softly as he stood in the living room.

Ivie had just gotten off her shift at the restaurant. All she had thought about was her son. She missed him. They never spent much time apart unless she was working, but she always had her baby with her at night. She hurried to the village and knocked on Elwin's door. "I-It's me... Ivie." She tried to say loudly for someone in the house to hear.

Atlas didnt quite know what to do when Forrest started getting fussy. "Uhm...He'll come back, and mom will be back soon too...How about a muffin while we wait?" He said, more to himself than anyone else, he wasnt sure how much a child his age would understand. Atlas picked up a miniature sized banana muffin that he had made sugar free and handed it to Forrest. He had recently tried the new recipe and had planned to ask Elwin what he thought about the first successful batch. The muffin seemed to do the trick.
Just after Atlas had given Forrest the muffin and had him calmed down he heard a knock on the door and then heard Ivie's voice announcing that it was her. Atlas walked over and opened the door stepping aside so that Ivie could walk in. "See? Told you she would be back soon. " He said looking down at Forrest.

Forrest giggled with the muffin in his mouth and wobbled to her. Ivie nearly ran to him and swooped him up, giving him kisses. He laughed and hugged her while eating his muffin. "Thank you for watching him... hope he didn't give you too much trouble." She looking down at Forrest and bouncing him before looking up at Atlas.

"Mm no he didnt really, we played for a while, I read him to sleep, and then he woke up a few minutes before you knocked on the door. Thanks for letting me watch him....And I'm really sorry..For everything. I dont expect you to forgive me, I cant imagine what it was like for you to raise him alone being so young, and I should have been a better human being and tried harder to find you. I wont try to make any excuses for being a shitty human being. But I am extremely sorry I put you through all of that, and I really do want to be a part of Forrests life." Atlas said in a calm tone. He meant every word he said and he really hoped she wold believe him, but understood he wouldnt. "So..Maybe since I choose my own schedule, I can watch him when you go to work..? Or really just whenever you need a break. Id be more than happy to spend that time with him. " He said watching Forrest much happily away at his muffin.

She nodded, holding Forrest close to her. "Yeah, that sounds good. I was at work today and found out you are dating this Elwin man... the one who saved, Forrest. He seems nice... and like he would have kept my baby forever." She laughed nervously, trying to get to know the new Atlas.
