Image Name: Keona Tumaine

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Height: 5'7"

Weight: 160lbs

Sexuality: Bisexual

Job: Sellsword

Appearance: Keona is relatively tall for a human, and her body is slender and toned with natural curves. She has a tanned skintone. Her hair is dark and wavy, coming down just past her shoulders, and she usually wears it up with a blue scarf, though sometimes she likes to wear it loose. Keona has dark eyes and elegant features, and she rarely smiles except when it comes to her brother. She has a piercing just under her lower lip. She usually likes to dress comfortably, wearing leggings or stretchy pants with simple tank tops. She isn't shy about revealing a little skin and she usually likes to wear a lot of jewelry, especially necklaces and earrings; however, she generally won't wear much jewelry when she's working a job.

Personality: Keona is cold, harsh, and calculated. She likes to think things through before doing them, but she will do whatever it takes to ensure that the job gets done. She cares very little about the feelings of others and has been known to make fun of other women for petty things such as their appearances or choice of partners. She tends to play the role of a flirt, chatting it up with both men and women alike, but she rarely follows through, something her sex addict of a brother frequently teases her about. Keona loves and respects her older brother Lenanel, and has always looked up to him, even now that they are grown up and working together. She rarely questions him.

History/Bio: Keona is the youngest of two siblings after her older brother Lenanel. They were raised by their mother on a farm, helping her out with the chores while their mercenary father traveled far and wide performing the work of a sellsword to support them. Whenever their father was home, he would train his two children in the art of the blade, wanting them to grow up to be warriors. He was killed when Keona was 12 and her brother was 15. They continued to train together for another three years before their mother died of sickness. The two sat down and had a long conversation about what they wanted to do with their lives and they decided to sell the farm and hit the road, following in their father's footsteps. The last nine years have hardened both of them somewhat, turning a pair of honest and hard-working kids into a pair of ruthless, cunning sellswords. They are wealthy and well-traveled, though neither of them is quite sure where they want to go with their lives.

So begins...

Lenandel rolled her eyes at Iridessa's reaction to their entry. He was almost relieved that she'd opted to stop being so damn cute - except, of course, that she then started to hum softly. He sighed, lying down on his back. "I'm having a nap, you watch her," he said to Keona. "Fine, but make it a damn short nap so I can have one too," she replied.

Iridessa rolled her eyes, "How about you both go to fuckin sleep since it is so damn dark in here that I can't run away with waking one of both of you up? Mk? Gets you two out of my pretty hair." She said and sat up before singing.

"Sleep baby sleep
What are you waiting for?
The morning's on its way
You know it's only just a dream
Oh sleep baby sleep
I lie next to you
The beauty of this mess is that it brings me close to you
I could be the one to give you all that I am
With a gentle touch and a foolish love
You could be the one to carry all my troubles away
With the words you say, all I need to hear so
Sleep baby sleep
What are you waiting for?
The morning's on its way
You know it's only just a dream
Oh sleep baby sleep
I lie next to you
The beauty of this mess is that it brings me close to you
Ignorance is torture but your love is right
Tip to tip a gentleman of the night
Feed my fascination a way our skin likes silk
And I'm still filled with wonder you could fool me easily so
Sleep baby sleep
What are you waiting for?
The morning's on its way
You know it's only just a dream
Oh sleep baby sleep
I lie next to you
The beauty of this mess is that it brings me close to you
So lay here and press up next to me
'Cause we'll be alright, we'll be alright
But when we leave I know it's hard
'Cause it's all we know but we'll be alright, we'll be alright, right
Sleep baby sleep
What are you waiting for?
The morning's on its way
You know it's only just a dream
Oh sleep baby sleep
I lie next to you
The beauty of this mess is that it brings me close to you"

Lenandel was already falling asleep, and Iridessa's singing served only to quicken that. Keona raised an eyebrow when Iridessa told them to both go to sleep. "That doesn't mean you won't make a run for it anyways, we all know you're totally unfazed by jumping off a moving wagon," she muttered. She listened quietly to Iridessa's singing, enjoying the beauty of the girl's voice. Her eyelids were growing heavy and though she tried to resist the pull of sleep, she eventually slumped over and fell asleep as well.

When Iridessa was done she heard their soft breathing and realized they had actually fell asleep and a smirk crawled onto her lips. She wasn't going to make a run for it and instead opted to take a nap as well since she was exhausted and closed her eyes before falling asleep herself.

It was a while later before Keona opened her eyes. When she realized that she'd fallen asleep she was about to panic, but then she spotted the pale form of Iridessa, also sleeping. It had grown cold somewhere along the way, so she quietly rummaged around in their bags and pulled out a soft blanket. She carefully went and laid the blanket over Iridessa before heading to the front of the wagon, drawing back the canopy slightly so she could ask the driver where they were.

The driver didn't look back at her when he answered they was about three towns over. Iridessa had slightly woken up when the blanket was put on her and fully woken when she heard the voices. She was a bit cold and inched her way closer to Lenny to warm up since he produced heat like a sun.

Lenandel stirred slightly when Iridessa inched her way closer to him. He didn't wake up, but he shifted slightly and then threw an unconscious arm gently over her, grunting a bit though he was still sound asleep. Keona glanced over when she heard the grunt and smiled a bit as she saw her brother quasi-cuddling the little blonde girl. She said nothing, instead went and quietly sat back down where she'd been before.

Iridessa almost jumped when he put an arm around her, ready for him to hit her, but he didn't and he was sound asleep. She had her back towards K so she didn't know if she was looking or if she even heard, but she watched the giant sleep before trailing her fingertips gently over that tattoos that weren't covered up. Iridessa wondered if they had a story behind them or if they were just the head of the moment. Her cheeks flushed when she realized how close she was to him and that she was gently trailing her fingers on him. Then fear struck her, what if he tries something instead of kill her? K said she wouldn't let that happen but she was so blindly in love with her brother that Iridessa didn't believe half the crap that came out of her mouth when it came to the woman's brother.

Keona sat there quietly. Her eyes were adjusted to the darkness in the wagon so she could see Iridessa trailing her fingers along Lenandel's tattoos. She couldn't help but to smile as she watched. Iridessa was something of a mystery. She had such a witty, snarky little mouth on her, yet she also had such tender moments of innocence as this one. Keona wasn't quite sure what to make of her. After a moment, Keona spoke up. "You said that all you wanted was to perform, right? To sing in front of others?" she asked, speaking in a soft voice so as not to wake Lenandel.

Iridessa jumped a bit when K started to talk. She looked back as much as she could and nodded, "Yeah... there is something about singing and dancing in front of others that just... energizes me. Plus when I do it does something for the people... kind of hard to explain. Like I know you two wanted to sleep so I sang for you and Lenny... then you two fell asleep. The last time I sung for people it was at an underground traveling club. I have friend that I would meet up with, he owns a little tavern that is probably on the way to wherever we going." She whispered before smiling, "He doesn't know my real name... so if he calls me Amber don't be surprised... but if you two want side money he would be happy to let me sing..." She said softly.

Keona raised an eyebrow when Iridessa commented that she would sing for them for side money. She wasn't sure where this tavern was located, but it definitely sounded like a safe bet to her. "If we end up there, then sure," she replied softly. "There's a tavern we know in one of the next towns coming up. It's a sketchy little shithole, but we know pretty much everyone there and you'd be safe if you were with us - if you'd be interested in performing there, I could talk with the owner when we arrive and see about setting something up," she continued. She'd been thinking about it since the driver had told them where they were. She figured they'd need to stop eventually so the driver could get some sleep, so why not stay at the sketchy little tavern they were familiar with - a place they were guaranteed not to be caught by anyone who might be looking out for Iridessa - and let the girl perform while they were there?

Iridessa smiled softly and then nodded, "Any place with people is fine by me." She said, leaving out that sometimes when she sang it could get... a bit bad. The last time she sang they had to hide her because some of them men went crazy, saying they had to have her and other things she didn't want to think about. She faced Lenny again and tried to gently turn so not to disturb him and then stared up at her, "I am a bit scared to see what happens when he wakes up." She giggled softly. "I like his tattoos... and was wondering of their was a story behind them..." She whispered.

Keona raised an eyebrow when Iridessa commented that she was a bit scared to see what would happen when Lenandel woke up. "Nothing scary's gonna happen when he wakes up," she said softly. "He'll just...go from being asleep to being awake. Pull his arm away, maybe grumble a bit, but that's it. And his tattoos..." Keona paused slightly when Iridessa questioned whether there was a story behind them. "Well, I wish I knew the story behind them. We were separated for about a year and a half a while back and he got them during that time. He's never told me what the meaning was," she admitted to the girl with a slight shrug. "You'll have to ask him yourself."

Iridessa looked shocked, "You mean you two aren't attached at the hip? You two can survive on y'all own? This is a great shock." She said and smirked. "I might... or I might call him princess again... depends on what mood I am in." She sighed. "And the fact that he hasn't beaten me yet is a shock too. Or maybe he beats them then cuddles... lucky me..." She said and looked back him. "He doesn't look so mean when he is sleeping... I just... wanna..." She gently sat up, moving his arm, and pinched his cheeks. "Wittle princess lenny the sleeping teddy." She cooed.

Keona smirked slightly, relieved that Lenandel was such a heavy sleeper. She was a light sleeper, and would never have been able to sleep through Iridessa pinching her cheeks. "He's not going to beat you," she said softly. "He may want to, but he won't. Our buyer wouldn't be too pleased," she continued, trying her hardest not to laugh as Iridessa messed around with his face. She hadn't had this much fun with a target before - not even the ones that had tried, the ones that had tried to be friendly in order to make her and her brother soften up somewhat. It had never worked, yet here was Iridessa, barely even trying and she was already managing it somehow. It didn't make any sense.

Iridessa huffed, "Your buyer won't be too pleased giving him my dead body anyway so... does it really matter?" She asked, not looking up at her. She played with his face a bit more before feeling his beard. "Ugh he is an idiot... how can you sleep heavy... I could totally escape if he falls asleep while you are away doing whatever you do while he watches me. Hmm.." She thought before shrugging. "I could have not grabbed your hand... I was thinking about jumping in the river..." Iridessa said softly.

It bothered Keona somewhat to listen to Iridessa talk about all the ways she wanted to escape, but not as much as it bothered her to hear the girl talk about dying. "We won't be handing over a dead body," she replied. "You'll be very much alive. And trust me, if he's watching you, he's not falling asleep," she added with a shake of her head. A slight smirk came to her lips at the sight of her brother's eyes opening. He raised an eyebrow, not moving from where he was lying a he looked up at Iridessa, clearly confused as to why she was playing with his beard.

Iridessa looked at her, "Don't be so sure of yourself." She said, her once friendly and innocent tone now serious and dark. She went back to Lenny and smirked when she saw he was awake, "Oh THIS wakes you but me pinching your cheeks doesn't?" She asked before leaning down and glaring, "What are you?" She asked before moving away before he could do anything. "Weird barbarians." She whispered.

Lenandel looked mildly annoyed as he pulled himself up into a sitting position, stretching out his muscular arms for a moment before looking back towards the two women. "Where are we?" he asked, and Keona softly told him where the driver had told her they were. He paused thoughtfully, and then glanced towards her. "Do you want to stop at-" Keona interrupted him before he finished, telling him "Yes," quite promptly. Lenandel smirked slightly and then nodded. "Have you told the driver?" he asked, and Keona shook her head. "Not yet," she said. "I wanted to run it by the two of you first." She got up and headed to the front to speak with the driver, to tell him which town to stop in - the one with the sketchy little tavern they knew - while Lenandel eyed Iridessa curiously. "You were pinching my cheeks?" he asked.

Iridessa watched him stretch, appreciating his arms, and her lavender eyes seemed to glow a bit. When K interrupted her brother she pressed her lips together and looked over at her. What's got her so eager? She thought before looking back at Lenny when he asked about his cheeks. "Yeah, what of it? You gonna fight me about it? Pinch ya damn cheeks again, play with me." She said, smirking a bit before huffing. "I been to one sketchy tavern before this... met a man name Tyrell.. he was pretty cool... he showed this dagger he killed a man for. I thought it was a bit extreme, but it was a nice dagger." She shrugged.
