Image Name: Lenandel Tumaine

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Height: 6'8"

Weight: 250lbs

Sexuality: Straight

Job: Sellsword

Appearance: Lenandel is tall and has a bulky, muscular body, standing at 6'8" and weighing 250 lbs of muscle. He has tanned skin and strong features. His hair is dark and wavy, coming down to his shoulders though he usually keeps it tied in a bun. He has brown eyes and he sports a beard. He generally likes to wear comfortable clothing that's easy to move in, usually consisting of plain trousers, a t-shirt or muscle top, and a jacket. He always has at least a couple of weapons on him, including a special, sentimental dagger that was given to him by his late father.

Personality: The only things that Lenanel likes in this world are money, sex, and his little sister Keona. Aside from those few things, Lenandel is cold and cut off. He generally displays very little emotion besides anger and hostility, though he will lighten up to joke around with his sister. Lenandel is the kind of man who will do whatever it takes to get things done, regardless who may get hurt in the process. He enjoys relaxing when he's not working, though he takes great pride and pleasure in his work.

History/Bio: Lenandel is the oldest of two siblings before his little sister Keona. They were raised by their mother on a farm, helping her out with the chores while their mercenary father traveled far and wide performing the work of a sellsword to support them. Whenever their father was home, he would train his two children in the art of the blade, wanting them to grow up to be warriors. He was killed when Lenanel was 15 and his sister was 12. They continued to train together for another three years before their mother died of sickness. The two sat down and had a long conversation about what they wanted to do with their lives and they decided to sell the farm and hit the road, following in their father's footsteps. The last nine years have hardened both of them somewhat, turning a pair of honest and hard-working kids into a pair of ruthless, cunning sellswords. They are wealthy and well-traveled, though neither of them is quite sure where they want to go with their lives.

So begins...

Lenandel sat on the front of the cart, patiently waiting for his sister to return. He was relieved that Iridessa had agreed to let Keona take the girl to her family. He heard Iridessa's mindless humming in the back, and glanced back when Iridessa suddenly came over and tapped his shoulder. He didn't even have a chance to answer her before she took off. He groaned slightly as he got up, immediately dashing after her. "Dammit, girl, get back here," he muttered as he rushed after her, though his head was darting back to what she'd said before running off. Was she implying that Keona was being lured into the woods as a victim of some cannibalistic tribe? He certainly hoped not. He ran a little faster.

Iridessa ran as fast as she could, where could they have gone? She stopped so he cold catch up. "I... I don't know where they could have gone.... but I can lure them away and you can get her...if...." She was freaking out. Her hands shaking.

Once Lenandel caught up to her, he could see that she was panicking a bit. He grabbed her by the shoulders, looking at her. "Hey," he said, his voice steady despite having just been running after her. "Calm down. I'm sure she's fine. We'll find her. If it's what you think, let me lure them away. I'm bigger. More meat on my bones," he said with a slight smirk. "Besides, I can't have you running off like that again." He'd never let it show, of course, but since realizing her implication he was panicking somewhat, too. He was not going to let anyone eat his sister if he had any say in the matter.

Iridessa looked up at him an nodded. She let him take the lead, he was right. She followed him a good bit into the woods and at one point almost reached out to hold his shirt so she wouldn't lose him, but decided against it. When it seemed like they would never find her she heard voices. "You should have brought the blonde hair... you could tell she was different!" The voices hissed at the child. "Once she goes missing they will come looking... just wait." Another voice said. So they wanted her... always her. She looked up at Lenny and tugged at his shirt. "Let me distract them." She whispered.

Keona hadn't been expecting the family of the little girl to overtake her. She'd completely let her guard down trying to be as gentle and unassuming as possible so as not to scare the girl or her family, and so as not to draw any suspicion to herself. The man who'd grabbed her, was he even the girl's father? She had no idea.

Lenandel stopped dead in his tracks when he heard the voices. He crept forward along the treeline to see where they were coming from, and sure enough, there was the yellow tent by the lake - and there was Keona, and the little girl. A man was holding Keona and there were more people around than would have fit in that tent. "Shit, you were right," he breathed before looking down at her. "You distract them. Lead them away from Keona, then try to circle back and get to the cart. I'll get Keona and deal with the ones that don't follow you. We'll be waiting at the cart. Keona will pull you in and I'll get the horse going. Horses can outrun these fuckers no problem, so we just have to get away fast. Sounds like a plan?" He didn't care that he was working with his target and essentially letting her run free from him. He just wanted to save his little sister.

Iridessa nodded before just walking into the campsite. She smiled sweetly, "If you can catch me you can have me." She said. There were a total for five people not including K. They smiled at her, "Mmm we can't eat this one... but she can help us draw in people... very special kind she is." They said and Iridessa looked confused. One woman laughed, "looks like she doesn't know what she is... cute..." She hissed. Two men and a woman started after her and Iridessa bolted.

Keona's eyes widened as she saw Iridessa emerge from the trees. Her mouth fell open slightly, but then three of the people went after her. Before Keona could do or say anything, Lenandel emerged from the trees with a rather ferocious yell, striking down one of the remaining people before they even had a chance to react. The man holding Keona tossed her aside and drew his sword, and Keona quickly scrambled to her feet.

"Lenandel, Iridessa!" she said quickly.

"I know," Lenandel grunted as he fought the last remaining man. "She's going to meet us at the cart, get there to wait for her!"

Keona knew that Lenandel could easily handle this lone man, so she took off running in the direction she'd come from. She leapt into the back of the cart when she reached it and Lenandel wasn't far behind, climbing into his seat. "When she arrives, you grab her and pull her up and I'll start going. I don't know how far behind her they'll be," he said.

"She's fast, so hopefully she can lose them," Keona replied, but there was a worried expression. She obviously had her doubts, both about Iridessa's safety and about whether or not she'd actually come back.

Iridessa ran and as she did so she knew she could get away, but could she get away from these guys. She was making her way back to the cart when one of them figured her out and got there before she did. He slung a rock at the horse and it went galloping. With the cart and Iridessa blinked before seeing the man emerge between her and the moving cart. "We caught you." He said, smirking. Iridessa slowed to a stop before running full force at him and dodging before he could grab her. She smirked but now she ran as fast as she could to catch up with the cart. The sound of the rushing river filled her ears and she looked back. She coukd run to the river and escape both of them.

Keona's dark eyes widened as she saw the man reach the cart and throw a rock at the horse. She was relieved that the horse wasn't hurt, but then it took off. She could hear Lenandel trying to get it to slow down, but it wouldn't. Keona pulled a knife off her belt, about to throw it at the man who was moving towards Iridessa, but then she dodged him expertly. It would take him a moment to get turned around and by then, Iridessa would be long gone. Keona gripped the edge of the cart with one hand, leaning out the back as far as she could with her arm out, a terrified expression on her face. "Iridessa!" she called, reaching one arm out to the blonde girl and hoping that she'd be able to reach her in time. The horse didn't seem too keen on stopping any time soon.

Iridessa looked back when K called her name l. She was going to run into the river, but then she saw K's face and couldn't do it. She tried to get closer, holding her arm out, but her legs were getting tired and she also slowed down and was going to give up but her hand finally grasped K's.

Keona could tell that Iridessa was starting to slow down. She wasn't sure the girl was going to be able to reach the cart. She was just about set to hop off and grab Iridessa, figuring they could just travel on foot the rest of the way to the next city and try to avoid the cannibals and meet up with Lenandel there, when Iridessa's hand finally caught hers. Keona clutched it tightly, pulling Iridessa up and into the cart and catching her in a sort-of embrace once her feet were firmly on the floor of the cart. "Are you okay?" she asked.

Iridessa sighed when she was pulled in. She tried to catch her breath and nodded. Taking a step back and sitting down. She didn't like the way she held her like that. It was bad enough she saved her captor and came back, plus she felt warm and fuzzy inside. "Y-yeah... you?" She asked.

Keona's face went a bit pink when she realized that she'd not let go of Iridessa until the girl pulled away. She nodded slightly. "I think I'm okay," she said softly before glancing back in the direction from which they'd come. "All the times we've been through these woods and we've never run into that group before, so who the hell were they and how did you guys know to come after me?" she asked, this time speaking a little louder so her brother would hear. "Ask her," Lenandel called back. He'd managed to get the horse mostly under control, though the damn thing wasn't keen on the idea of stopping any time soon.

Iridessa nodded and looked away, before looking back at the two. "They aren't just humans they are what my mother calls Suckers. They feed off of humans or nonhumans and absorb their skills sets. They weren't after you... they were after me. Apparently I coukd help them get more victims? I don't know... but they are really old and those five are just a mere part of a good sizeable group." She said. "Lucky we didn't run into a bigger group."

Keona raised an eyebrow, glancing towards her brother and then towards Iridessa. "Then I guess it's a good thing they didn't want us, because we've got some damn good skill sets," she said with a soft laugh before sitting down, definitely needing to relax a bit after all that excitement. "And of course you could help them get more victims. You've got tons of people searching for you right now. If they had their hands on you, they could use you as bait to lure in the people looking for you..." Keona sighed, shaking her head slightly. "The important thing is that we're away from them."

Iridessa nodded and looked out into the woods. She could have gotten away and she was mentally screaming at herself. All because of her stupid fucking face! She is going deliver you to some creepy ass people and you go running right back! Barbarians only care about themselves and money. You should have fucking let they crazies kill them and you could have been freed! She stayed quiet and didn't say anything, she was beyond pissed at herself.

The sun was starting to peek up over the horizon, though the forested tree cover hid all signs of the sunrise except the changing colour of the sky up above. After a bit, Lenandel slowed the cart to a stop and clambered into the back, jerking a thumb over his shoulder for Keona to take over the driving for a bit. "Just don't fall asleep," she told him as she headed up front, and he chuckled. "Wouldn't dream of it," he replied.

Iridessa saw the sun coming up and was wondering when her next open door she would get. Maybe when they meet this Pete. Maybe he would fuck up. She didn't know. Iridessa looked over when they started to stop and watched them switch places. There little interaction was dull some and went back to look at nature.

Lenandel sat in the back with Iridessa for the remainder of the ride, which meant they traveled mostly in silence. They finally reached a new town. Before entering, Keona slowed to a stop and turned back around. "You'll want to lie back down and put the blanket over yourself until we get to Pete's," she said to Iridessa, though she shot a quick glance at her brother telling him to cover Iridessa up if the girl made no move to do it herself.

Iridessa shrugged and laid back before looking up at Lenny, "Aww if only you could take me here and now, such shame." She said and covered herself up. Thankfully she did because a huge blush rushed over her and she didn't need him to be seeing that so he could brag about how she thought about him taking her, which honestly scared the shit out of her.

Lenandel raised an eyebrow as he heard her words, relieved that the girl covered herself with the blanket before he had time to be too tempted. This girl would be the death of him. Keona brought the cart up to a mansion further in town. She stopped the cart and hopped down, leaving Lenandel with Iridessa. She headed up to the door and knocked. A woman answered, obviously a housekeeper, and Keona smiled kindly. "I need to see Pete," she said. The woman nodded and retreated into the house for moment, returning accompanied by a man. He was short and a little plump, and somewhat balding and much older than the Tumaines were, with greying hair and an almost rodent-like demeanour about him. A smirk came to his lips when he saw Keona.

"Keona, my darling, how are you?" he asked, opening his arms and moving towards her for a hug. She immediately side-stepped him, smirking. "Not today, Pete," she said calmly, folding her arms over her chest. "Here on business only," she said, and he raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What kind of business is this, pumpkin?" he asked, glancing briefly down to the road and spotting the cart with Lenandel in the back. "And why'd you have to bring him?" he asked.

"I believe you have someplace around back we can pull around and unload some - ahem - sensitive cargo?" Keona asked, and Pete smirked slightly. "You know I do, doll, I'll meet you back there," he said before retreating back into the house. Keona headed back down to the road and climbed in, taking the cart around to the back door of Pete's mansion, where Pete was waiting by the door, clearly eager to see what their sensitive cargo was. It was a secluded area blocked off from sight in all directions, which was exactly why it was the perfect place to get Iridessa out. Once they were there, Lenandel gently nudged Iridessa with his foot. "You can come out and come inside with us," he said.

Iridessa wiggled her toes as she waited and thought about Lenny and his aggressive ass. She knew women liked it but she didn't think they liked it the way he did it. She had a friend who had someone like him and she couldn't walk for days. The thought alone made her cross her legs and winch. When the cart moved again she wondered where they were going before Lenny nudged her. She shot up and sighed, "can't you just let me rest." She asked before looking at the man at the door and pressed her lips together as she smiled, "He is adorably small." She whispered to Lenny as she hoped out of the cart and walked next to K. "Hello." She said in a friendly tune and waved.

Lenandel raised an eyebrow as Iridessa sat up. "You had...the entire way here to sleep," he said, sighing and shaking his head. A slight smirk nudged his lips when she said that Pete was adorably small, though he tried his best to hide it. As Iridessa hopped down and greeted Pete, a smirk came to the small man's lips. "For me?" he asked, looking at Keona. "Oh, you shouldn't have." Keona laughed, immediately grabbing his shoulder with some force. "Not a damn chance, you keep your hands off of her," she said, and he sighed. "I knew you'd say that," he said disappointedly as Lenandel climbed down off the cart.

"We're delivering her to Jerrica," Lenandel said as he came over to join them. Pete nodded for them to come inside. "Jerrical, eh? And what's up there?" he asked as they headed inside, and Lenandel smirked, shutting Pete's back door behind him. "A buyer," he replied, and Pete nodded knowingly. "Ah. I see. So, what the hell does this have to do with me?" he asked, grabbing a container off a shelf and opening it up to reveal some thick cigars. He lit up a match and started burning one of the cigars, eyeing them closely. Keona sighed. "We need to use your covered wagon," she said. "We'll pay whatever you want. This is an important job."

Iridessa smiled even when the small man asked if she was for him, but K let her know that she wasn't and walked with them in. It was a nice place, the man seemed to know what he was doing for him to have such a place. The man looked like a slimeball, but adorable because he was short and she really wanted to pat him on the head but she didn't want to fuck it up so she messed with Lenny's hand to bug him.

Lenandel tried to ignore the fact that Iridessa was holding on to his hand and messing around with it. He wasn't entirely sure why. Perhaps she was feeling uncomfortable here in Pete's home? He was a slimy little man, after all, and even Keona tended to feel like she needed a shower after spending time around him. Why Iridessa would go to Lenandel for security, though, was beyond him - he was trying his damndest to make sure the girl knew he was to be feared, but it seemed to be backfiring every step of the way.

Pete smirked a bit as Keona told him that they needed his wagon. He eyed up Iridessa before looking back to Keona. "She certainly is a prize," he said. "I can see why you'd need to keep her hidden. Of course, if you don't want to fork over all the money I'm about to ask for, we can make...alternative...arrangements.." He said, smirking at Keona. Keona rolled her eyes. "Not gonna happen, Pete. Name your price," she said. He sighed, reluctantly naming an exorbitantly high number, and Keona nodded. "Done," she replied. "Is the wagon here or are you waiting on it?"

"It's here," Pete replied. "I'm assuming you're wanting to leave immediately?" he asked, and Keona gave a nod. "Absolutely," she said. "Oh, and if anyone asks, we were never here, and neither was she," Keona added, nodding towards Iridessa. Pete chuckled, pointing at his cheek. "A peck for my silence?" he asked, and with a reluctant sigh, Keona leaned down and kissed his cheek briefly. "There you go," she said. "Now, let's go."

Pete led them down a side hallway into a small attachment on the mansion, which was pretty much all in darkness. The wagon was inside, and he glanced over at them. "Let me go get you a horse and get it attached," he said. "You're welcome to go wait inside, or you can sit in the wagon to wait." He left, and Keona glanced down at Iridessa. "Did you need to use the washroom or anything while we're here? We likely won't get another chance for a while," she said.
