Description

Image

ImageName: Priscilla Jane Clements
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Species: Human
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 140lbs
Hair colour: Dark brown
Eye colour: Grey
Skin colour: Fair
Trade/Job: None

Appearance:
Standing at five feet and seven inches, Priscilla is a slender young woman of approximately 140 pounds. She has fair skin with pink cheeks and she often wears a light layer of makeup on her face. She has big eyes that are grey in colour and defined dark eyebrows. She has a petite nose and heart-shaped pink lips. Her dark brown hair is thick and curly and difficult to tame. It tends to be lighter at the ends due to sun exposure and she tries to keep it neat and tidy. Priscilla has a birthmark on the side of her right hip approximately the size of a plum. She tends to wear sundresses or maxi dresses as casual wear and has a preference for the colour pink. Priscilla usually wears strappy sandals or high heels, and she rarely wears practical or comfortable footwear or clothing. She always wears a golden signet ring on her left index finger and she has a nervous habit of spinning it when she's anxious or uncomfortable.

Personality:
A positive, friendly, and good-hearted person, Priscilla is extremely outgoing and loves to meet new people. She is charming but fairly talkative, which can become annoying after a while. Priscilla absolutely cannot keep a secret to save her life, and sometimes loves to gossip, though she usually only does so in social situations where others are doing it first - she'll rarely start the gossip, but she does love to continue it. Priscilla believes that rules are in place for a reason and that people should be expected to follow them. She is obedient and always tries to do what is expected of her, even when it comes at the price of her own personal happiness. Priscilla is quite naive and innocent and she knows little about the bad in the world. She is a caring, loving person and always tries her best to get along with everyone she meets. Priscilla has an average intelligence but always works hard and pays attention in her studies. She enjoys playing the harpsichord.

Bio/History:
Born to a noble house in the Kingdom below, Priscilla has always lived a life of luxury and duty. An obedient and well-behaved child, Priscilla's parents were always grateful for what a good child they had, and when Priscilla was four, they decided to have another. Priscilla was five when her little sister Henrietta was born, and her sister was an absolute demon child. She was constantly screaming and crying, and as she got older, Henrietta became disobedient and rebellious. Priscilla and her parents were all frustrated by Henrietta's behaviour and nobody could figure out how to get her to behave. They kept hoping she would grow out of it, but she never did.

Priscilla, meanwhile, grew into a prim and proper young lady. Courteous and well-mannered, it wasn't long before eligible young bachelors from all over were seeking to meet the young Mademoiselle Clements. Priscilla was happy to meet with any suitors her parents agreed to let her see. None particularly interested her, but she knew that her parents wanted her to choose one of her own accord, so she paid close mind to the things they said about these suitors and eventually selected one that she knew would make her parents happy - a man of good standing in another noble house, respectful and polite and wealthy, whose parents got along well with her parents. The two started courting, and Priscilla's parents were overjoyed. Around the same time, Henrietta befriended a group of girls from town - commoners, not nobles - who were significantly older than her, all around Priscilla's age, and all of whom shared her rebellious side.

It was at Henrietta's thirteenth birthday party that all hell broke loose. Despite her rebellious side, her parents loved her and tried to do everything they could for her. All of her friends from town came to her birthday party, and they brought along some men, all around Priscilla's age or a little older. Priscilla and Henrietta's parents tried to insist that the men not come, but Henrietta threw a fit and her parents reluctantly relented. Henrietta's friends went wild, drinking much too much and getting all kinds of rowdy. One of them even tried to hit on Priscilla, but the gentleman courting her stepped in and put an end to that. Unfortunately, things started to go too far and Priscilla's father asked the men to leave. They got angry, though, and started threatening the partygoers with weapons that they'd snuck in with them. They ended up attacking Priscilla's father, and then they started a number of fires throughout the mansion, blocking all the exits and refusing to let anyone leave.

Priscilla's mother managed to sneak her out of the party, sending her out a window and telling her to run into town to get help. When Priscilla asked her mother to come with her, her mother refused, saying she needed to go back in there and get Henrietta. Priscilla was reluctant about leaving her mother behind, but did as asked and went into town to get help. By the time they got back, the manor was ablaze, and by the time they were able to put the fire out, several had died inside - including Priscilla's gentleman caller, her parents, and her little sister. Priscilla was heartbroken and devastated over losing everything - her home, her family, the man she was courting... There was nothing left for her.

She stayed for a while with a family friend, trying to mend her broken heart, but then one night she had a dream in which she saw her sister. Henrietta was sitting in a ring of fire and crying, and when Priscilla went to her, Henrietta apologized again and again for what had happened, saying she never wanted any of that to happen. Then, Henrietta told Priscilla that all she'd wanted was to escape from the strict life her parents had laid out for them and that she wanted to go to the floating islands and be free as a bird. It was then that the dream cut off, and Priscilla was convinced that the dream was a message directly from her sister - an apology for what had happened, and guidance as to what Priscilla should do next. She wasn't sure what she would find waiting for her on the floating islands, but it seemed like the only logical step forward to move on after what had happened, so she packed her bags and set out for Veritas Isle.

So begins...

Priscilla was a little surprised that James kept his hand on her back the whole time. It was so gentlemanly, and not at all what she would have expected from him. Once they were sitting and James told Ebony that she was the prettiest girl here, Priscilla laughed a bit. "I have to agree with hi," she said, reaching over and booping her little nose before looking over back at him, blushing a bit when he said that she was the second-prettiest girl here. When he asked about her education, she smiled a bit, though her smile faded somewhat when he compared her to a prized cattle. "Well... I can see why you would view it that way, but it wasn't really like that. My parents wanted me to be happy. I had my choice of men. I never really cared for them but I knew I'd have to choose one, so I picked someone I figured I could be content with for the rest of my life. He was kind and gentle and respectful and sweet and handsome and intelligent. We got along well enough," she said, shrugging a bit.

"And as for my studies," she continued, smiling a bit as she thought back to them, "I studied languages, literature, history, some geography, mathematics, music, and calligraphy. Music was always my favourite, though. I obviously learned about home economics, of course, like how to care for children and how to run a household, things like that. They wanted me to be well-rounded, so it wasn't just about raising me to be somebody's trophy wife," she said with a bit of a shrug. "I always enjoyed my studies and I always did well in them, so I think that helped a bit. If I hadn't excelled, I feel like my parents would have put less of a focus on an education and more of a focus on just teaching me to be a wife, but I did well in them so they figured that they should give me learning opportunities and let me develop myself more."

James was regretting taking the girl out anywhere. When she started to blab about the guy she chose he wanted to reach over and just shut her up, but he did invite her and he did ask her a question. He listened and nodded here and there. The only good thing about goodie goodie girls was ruining them. The look in their eyes when they realized they not only liked it but were ruined for their future husband filled him with joy. He told the girl he wouldn't do that to here fully and now he was regretting the decision. "I see... yet you never strived to be independent. You could do simple work like you are now, but you couldn't do what Luther or I can do, which isn't your fault... we were forced to be prepared to have my father's business when he died. We ran our own at sixteen and strived since, though Luther took his talents and twisted them into what he is now so..." He shrugged. "There is one thing about men you need to realize... they are never as kind and sweet and gentle and respectful as they claim to be. There is always that underlining hunger that will sooner or later get to them." He said and smiled before poking his daughter's nose.

The waitress came and took their orders and she walked off, "Tell me, Prissy, what was your first thought on seeing me when you walked down?" He asked.

Priscilla listened curiously while James talked about what he and Luther did, and she shrugged a bit. "I never strived to be independent, no, but that was because I didn't need to. I was quite content in my life. It was fitting for me. There was structure, and there were rules, but there was still freedom for me to pass my days as I pleased. I just had to do what was expected of me, which really wasn't that hard to do, and everything was just lovely," she said with a shrug. Obedience had always come easily for her. If her parents asked her to do something, then she very well did it. It wasn't difficult and she'd never understood why it had always been such a struggle for Henrietta to do the same. She placed her order with the waitress and when he asked her first thought about seeing him when she came downstairs, she blinked slightly. "I...understood what you meant about the colour scheme," she said softly, figuring it best not to admit that her first thought had been how handsome he looked.

James clicked his tongue, "You are lying to me, child... which is never a good thing to do. There are punishments up ahead for you. I am not my brother... I won't just let you escape with little lies because then they will turn into bigger ones and those will be a headache for me. Now... you claim you love obedience so much... tell me the truth." He said, a bit more demanding. Ebony was off trying to craw for the wine menu. "You know what I studied growing up? How to observe the human body. When they lie, their bodies portray them unless they have sat down in front of the mirror and studies their own bodies when they lied... which what my brother and I learned to do. We learned to fight, business, trade..." He smirked and leaned over a bit. "We are going to need to make a stop at my brother's to drop off Ebony." He smirked.

Masa smiled as she talked and then shook his head. "I have no idea how you can unpack me, but I feel like that means gut open and all that jazz." He cringed but smiled and did the same. "Mmm what kind of job would you really like? We all know you hate being told what to do, but you would have had to get a job at some point in your life." He said softly.

Emilia nodded, "We can spare her..." She said and then went sit by him and poked his cheek the whole time. "I consider myself a lot of things, Blake... but I am striving to be better and in the process, I hope that Lia will see that and look at herself and tell herself that she can overcome all that shyness... or a good bit of it." She said and kept poking. "Also... where does her friend go to school and why Lia can't go there." She asked.

Priscilla bit her lip slightly at how quickly he'd noticed her lie. At least Luther hadn't caught on to it when she'd lied to him. She absolutely agreed that little lies spiralled into bigger ones, which was why she never did it, but she hadn't wanted to admit the truth to James. "You're right," she said softly, and looked away. "Well, um... my first thought when I came downstairs was that you looked handsome. And, you know, then I thought how cute Ebony looked, and how I understood the colour scheme thing, and how I shouldn't be thinking about you as handsome," she said. "Why study how to tell when people are lying? It's not as if they do it often - unless, you know, they're evil bad people like you. I wasn't even sure I could lie until Luther asked me about how you'd treated me..."

James smirked when she said she thought he was handsome, "Well thank you for calling me handsome and thank you for complimenting my choice of clothing for my daughter. Not many dads can do that." He said proudly before sighing looked at her a bit dully. "My job requires it." He said. "Everyone CAN lie... you just have to either, be really good at it or lie to the right stupid person." He said before leaning in, "Thank you for calling me evil and bad... almost had me blushing, babe." He chuckled before sitting back up and letting the waitress put their food down in front of them.

Priscilla was relieved when his reaction to her calling him handsome was merely to thank her and to move on to the comment about Ebony's outfit instead. "You're right. My father would never have been able to choose clothing for us the way my mother did," she said with a bit of a giggle. When he said that everyone could lie, she blinked. "Maybe so, but most people don't," she said with a shrug. She blinked when he thanked her for calling him evil, relieved that the food came before she could humour that with a response.

James blinked at her, "Oh child, most people lie. Maybe you are to naive to see it." He said and began to eat his food. Ebony tried to get to her food. "Here... give her to me." He said and took his daughter back before feeding her some of his mashed potatoes. "Oh ho ho you like that?" He cooed at her and she clapped while smashing the potatoes around in her mouth and smiling. "Oh goodness, Ebony gives this place five stars, huh?" He said and gave her another bite. He fed his daughter until she was full and then ate himself. It was always her first.

Priscilla was a bit concerned when he said that most people lied, but perhaps he just surrounded himself with the worst of people. She handed Ebony back to him and started to eat while he fed the baby. She giggled a bit when he said that Ebony always gave this restaurant five stars. "It must be nice to be big enough to eat some of daddy's food, isn't it, little sweetie?" she asked Ebony with a grin before taking another mouthful of her own food.

Ebony giggled rubbed her hand over her mouth when Priscilla talked to her. They had finished up their food and James paid. When he got up and helped Priscilla up, he handed her the baby. An elderly couple commented on how lovely it was to see young people acting as such good and attentive parents. James smiled and nodded at them as he lead the girl and his baby out. "Well... we can put on the parent front easily... remind me to come to you if I even need that to happen again." He said and walked with her towards Luther's house. A smirk slid onto his face as he thought about what to do to her for a punishment.

Priscilla enjoyed the food, and when they were done she was surprised that James helped her up before handing the baby. She glanced over when the elderly couple commented on their parenting and she blushed slightly. She was about to correct them, but James nodded and led her out, so she didn't get a chance to say anything. She looked up at him when he said that he'd call on her if he needed to pretend to be parents. "Were you not the one who thought I looked twelve? Pretending that I'm the mother of your child might not give people the right idea," she said with a bit of a giggle. She raised an eyebrow as she noticed that they were walking towards Luther's house and she looked up at him. "Weren't we going to go down to the lake islands with her first?" she asked.

James looked down, apparently, she had missed the whole punishment thing. "I see someone was not paying attention to what I was saying. Such a disobedient girl. Tis tis." He teased and walked to his brothers. He knocked and Luther answered. He took Ebony from her gently and held her out to him. "Here... I come bearing gifts to you, but only for a little bit and then I am coming back for her..." He smiled. "What? Wait... where you two going?" He asked and James smiled, "The lake." He said and waved before walking away with her. When they got back to the road he smirked. "Like I had said at the restaurant... there is a punishment when you lie to me." He said.

Priscilla blinked slightly at what he said, a little confused. When James took Ebony and handed her to Luther and then said they were going to the lake, she was a bit more confused. When they got back to the road and he said there was a punishment for lying to him, she looked up at him. "So... we're not going to go walk by the lake with Ebony?" she asked, tucking back a loose brown curl behind one ear.

James smirked, "Nope." He said and walked with her to the lake. The sun was setting and the colors reflected on the water's service. It was nice and quiet out. He hadn't said a work to the lake and not now either. He thought about the things he could do to her and wondered how she would fare. Either way he was going to enjoy it. They walked over toward the back of the lake and up to the cliff. He helped her up and ending up carrying her the rest of the way, "So your dress doesn't rip." He said softly and placed her down. James stepped away from her and let her soak up the beauty of the lake.

Priscilla was a bit confused about not taking Ebony to the lake with them, but she didn't question it. She followed him along quietly, a little surprised when James picked her up and carried her, but she nodded understandingly when he said that it was so her dress wouldn't rip. "I don't suppose you'd take responsibility for another damaged dress, would you?" she asked jokingly, a slight smirk toying at the edges of her lips. When he set her down, she gazed out over the cliff and her eyes widened. It was beautiful. She took a small, hesitant step back, away from the edge of the cliff, and she looked at him. "It's beautiful...are you sure it's safe, though?" she asked, obviously a bit apprehensive about how high up they were.

Ebony squealed at the little boy and Luther oh'ed at her. "Daddy isn't gonna be happy with you squealing at boys." He smirked but shook his head. "No... no it would not be best to have him surprise her." He said and looked at Gamaya, "She can stay here... help yourself to whatever you want. I will have Prissy come in." He said and hurried and left, giving Ebony to Prissy and telling her to go in the house and keep Barynn's sister Gamaya company before running out and going warn Haera at the tavern that Istrian was back and calming her down when she started to panic a little.

Priscilla looked up when Luther came in, taking Ebony and nodding when he instructed her to go keep Barynn's sister company. She headed inside just in time to see Unarelle leaving, smiling and waving at the shy twin before heading inside. She smiled when she saw the dwarven girl and the tiny child on her hip. "Hi! You must be Barynn's sister?" she asked, and Gamaya nodded. "Yes, I am," she replied. Priscilla nodded for Gamaya to come into the living room with her and she sat down with Ebony in her lap, bouncing the little baby gently while Gamaya put Danonte in her own lap. He almost immediately started to whine, and Gamaya sighed softly. "Danny, baby, this isn't our house and I don't want you running around touching things. Just stay with mummy, okay?" she said, kissing the top of his head and then looking at Priscilla. "So, you're...?" she asked curiously, and Priscilla smiled. "Oh, I'm Luther's secretary and babysitter extraordinaire," she replied with a grin before looking at Danonte. "Aren't you a cute little thing? What a sweet boy, oh, yes you are!" she cooed, and Danonte stared at her with a silent, somber look.

Priscilla looked down at Ebony when she reached for the toy, smiling a bit. "Relax, baby girl, I can get it for you," she said, tightening her grip a bit on Ebony to keep the baby from lurching right out of her arms. She reached over and got the toy off the table, holding it in front of Ebony so it was within her reach. "See? There's nothing to be angry about," she said soothingly. Gamaya couldn't help but to smile a bit. "You're good with kids. Have any of your own?" she asked, and Priscilla blinked slightly, shaking her head. "Oh, no, I'm not even married yet," she replied. She figured it best not to mention that she was dating Ebony's father.

Gamaya nodded slightly. "Oh. I see," she replied. "And this one... Luther said she was his niece?" she asked, and Priscilla nodded. "Yes. Luther and I both babysit a lot," she said. Gamaya gave another nod. "Ah. And her parents...?" she asked curiously. Priscilla smiled. "Well, her daddy... I don't even know, really. What do you think, Ebony? What does daddy do, exactly?" she asked with a giggle before looking back over at Gamaya. "I think he's like a criminal or something. I have no idea. He pays me to babysit, though, and I've long since learned not to ask questions," she explained. Gamaya raised an eyebrow slightly, but nodded. "I... see. I trust that he's not around my brothers and sisters too much, is he?" she asked, and Priscilla shook her head. "Not really. He sees Barynn from time to time, and he was friends with Yora but they had a falling out, but that's it."
