Appearance:
Standing at approximately four feet and six inches in height, Unarelle weighs only about 105 pounds. She has lightly-tanned skin and her build is slender. She has long, straight dark hair that comes down just past her shoulders. Unarelle has slightly almond-shaped brown eyes, straight eyebrows, and a petite nose. She, like the rest of her family, sports full lips. Unarelle typically dresses in a way that is somewhat modest, usually opting for dresses with sleeves that come at least to knee length, though she does have a preference for them to be cute. The twins always wear a pair of matching golden rings with green stones in them that their older sister Barynn made for them.
Personality:
Unarelle is incredibly shy and uncomfortable around people. It isn't that she dislikes people the way her sister does, she simply isn't fully comfortable conversing with them and has a tendency to clam up. As such, she tends to be completely dependent on her twin sister, Yoranda, for socialization. Unarelle is intelligent and highly skilled with healing herbs, brews, and the healing arts in general. She tends to be clever and wise, and when she does warm up to someone, she is incredibly loving and loyal. Unarelle is quite level-headed while her sister tends to have her head in the clouds, and often finds herself pulling Yoranda out of sketchy situations.
History/Bio
Unarelle and her twin sister, Yoranda, are tied for the position as the second-youngest of the eight Garmold children. They exhibited opposite personalities even from infancy, with Unarelle being a quiet baby who was easy to care for and Yoranda being a loud, demanding baby that drained all the energy of their parents. When they were four years old, Yoranda fell ill and Unarelle spent all her time with her sick sister. The healers never could quite figure out what was wrong with her and could do little more for her than treat her symptoms. Eventually, Yoranda got better of her own accord. Unarelle, meanwhile, having watched the healers tend to her, began to fall in love with the art of healing. She decided that she wanted to be a healer, and her family was overjoyed that she'd chosen such a good and selfless path.
Unarelle trained under the same healers who had tended to her sister, and she began to learn their art. She displayed a natural adeptness for it, impressing even the strictest and harshest of her mentors. When they were eight and Yoranda's sickness came back, it was mostly Unarelle who tended to her, under the guidance of her mentor healers. She tried her hardest to figure out what was wrong with her sister, but the healers had been right the first time: it was a mystery. As with the first time, Yoranda eventually got better again and they got back to their lives.
At eighteen years old, the healers believe that Unarelle is on track to become one of the greatest healers in Bhagh-Nernwahrum. Yoranda has had a few more sickness scares over the years, and every time, Unarelle was right there at her side. Recent events, however, are causing immense change in the lives of the twins. With two of their older siblings - Barynn and Istrain - having both left Bhagh-Nernwahrum to pursue lives on the surface, other families are beginning to look upon the Garmold family name as somewhat shameful. In an attempt to patch things up with the rest of their colony and preserve their good name, their parents have agreed to an arranged marriage for Unarelle to a young man from a family of high rank. He's had feelings for her for years, but she never reciprocated because she always thought he was an ass. Now, she has little choice. Hoping to save her sister, Yoranda even volunteered to take Unarelle's place and marry him, but he was insistent that it was Unarelle he wanted.
Frightened and devastated, Unarelle does not wish to marry this man. Yoranda has had to make a hard decision now and she has decided to take her twin and leave Bhagh-Nernwahrum in order to escape the arrange marriage. Their plan is to take all their savings and venture to Veritas Isle, where they know their older sister Barynn lives and they know she will take care of them until they figure out what to do with their own lives.
