Amira nodded. "Well, if you need it, you can probably find it pretty easy. Most of the shopping is done in one place around the center of the city." She said and went about eating. She thought about if she needed to get anything while they were out. She might have benefited from buying some more spring like dresses while they were on early sales for the next season. That depended on if Weston thought he could get back to the house without her though. He had managed to find the house in the first place, so she thought he probably could. It would be a little weird for her to ask him to stay while she tried on dresses, though imagining the look on his face hen he had to stand there and wait like the boyfriends she had seen waiting for their girlfriends or whatever. Their faces were always so priceless. But there was no way she was going to put Weston through that nonsense.

Weston nodded slightly. That sounded easy enough. He'd been to large cities where the shops were all over the place, with different businesses at all different ends of the cities and residential areas scattered throughout. It had been a mess, and he hoped that this city would be better laid-out. He continued to eat mostly in silence, his honey-brown eyes occasionally rising to peek across the table at her. She really was a beautiful woman. Had he met her in any other context, he might have asked her to go out with him some time. That made it unfortunate that she was his roommate, though, as they didn't need any sort of relationship beyond friendship that might complicate their living situation.

Amira ate pretty quietly, Weston didnt seem like much of a talker most of the time so until she knew him better she wasnt going to be real intrusive about getting him to talk either. She caught him peeking at her and blinked before raising an eyebrow. "What? Is there something on my face?" She asked and then blinked. "Is my hair a mess and I dont know about it?" She said then messed with her hair a little bit like she was trying to figure out if something was out of place. Her hair with it being decently curly often did things she would rather it didnt, and would get all kinds of out of place.

Weston felt his cheeks heat up a bit when she caught him peeking at her and he quickly shook his head. "No, no, nothing wrong," he replied quickly, giving her a small smile. "You look great, that's all. Don't mind me, I'm just envious of your good looks," he teased gently, hoping that would be enough to get him off the hook. He turned his attention back to his food, not daring to sneak another peek now.

Amira blinked at his words. "Oh well uhm..Thanks." She said softly and looked back down at her food. She thought she was pretty strange looking, and it didnt help that most people said she looked 'exotic'. Her father was very pale and his hair was a very pale nearly white shade of blonde, and her mother had dark skin like Amira did but her hair was jet black and Amira ended up a weird mix of the two with her fathers blue eyes, her mothers features and skin, and hair lighter than even her fathers. She had only caught Weston peeking because she had been peeking at him and accidentally caught him looking at her too. He was a very handsome man, certainly better looking than most of the men she had gone out with before. But she blocked the thought of that out of her head, they were room mates after all, and it wasnt like she thought either of them were down to mess that up in any way.

Weston could see that Amira was a bit sheepish about accepting the compliment, but he said nothing more and decided not to try to push it. He finished up his meal, sitting back in his chair once he'd finished and downing the last of his drink. "That was a great breakfast," he told her, turning his gaze back towards her with a grin. "You seem to be good at just about everything you do. Running, cooking, making chocolate..." He chuckled a bit.

Amira finished her breakfast quietly too and then shook her head. "There are quite a few things im not good at, naturally. Gotta make up for it with those three things." She said with a little bit of a smirk before taking the plates to the kitchen and setting them in the sink, she'd get to them later but they needed to head out. "You ready to head out to the market?" She asked and walked to the living room closet and grabbed a big bag from it to put groceries in and then handed it to him. "Makes things a lot easier, promise." She said with a smile.

Weston chuckled a bit at her comment about not being good at quite a few things. He could definitely relate. He let her take the plates, though he had no intentions of letting her wash them herself once they got back. While she took them into the kitchen, he grabbed his jacket and pulled it on, smiling as she handed him the large bag. "I'll just bet it does," he said with a laugh. "I'm all ready. Let's get going," he said to her with a grin.

The setting changes from Amira's home to Veritas City.

Amira nodded and got her coat and boots on before walking out with him and locked up the house behind them. She was glad today wasnt too cold which meant she wasnt in a rush to get back inside. She walked with him to the city, showing him the way to the market and the landmarks to look for to make sure he was going the right ways, and when they got there she started him off at the food and grocery market. "Well, here it is. Normally things arent decorated like this, but with christmas coming up soon, they like to make things extra pretty." She said with a smile as she looked around at the decorations, her blue eyes sparkling as she did.

Weston headed out with Amira, waiting while she locked up the house and then walking along with her into the city. He'd seen parts of it while he'd been navigating his way to her place, having found the advertisement she'd posted while he'd been grabbing some lunch. The decorations were lovely, and he smiled when he saw the way her eyes sparkled as she spoke about them. "It is extra pretty," he agreed with a nod. "The entire city is quite lovely. So, what are we buying first?" he asked her with a chuckle. He figured it was probably better to get the non-food items out of the way first so that the food would be able to be transferred into safe storage as soon as possible, and so that he was more likely to only buy what was needed and less likely to just buy whatever looked good. There was plenty of chocolate at home. He didn't need any goodies or extras.

Amira looked over and then around and shrugged. "Well I guess whatever you want to get. We can get food last if you would like, pass back this way on the way back to the house." She said and led him over to the shops that dealt with things that werent food and let him look around while she looked a little too. She had shopped a few days ago, so it would be a few more before she really needed to go again, but it didnt hurt to look for stuff that was on sale today.

Weston grinned when she commented that they could get food last and he nodded slightly. "Getting food last would probably be the best idea," he said, amused at how much they seemed to have in common that she'd even suggest that. "I was thinking housewares would be a good place to start. You know, grab myself a few things for my new room since I don't have many belongings of my own," he said with a shrug. "And I was hoping to buy some clothes, though you probably won't want to join me for that and have to sit around waiting while I try things on," he added, chuckling a bit.

Amira nodded. "Probably a good idea. Always good to have things in your room huh? Feels less like a hotel room." She teased and walked him over to some stalls that were selling home goods. "Oh clothes shopping huh? I need to grab a couple of things too so we can probably both get that done at the same time." She suggested.

Weston laughed softly at her comment about making the room feel less like a hotel room. "You're not wrong about that," he said with a smile as they walked over to the stalls selling home goods. He eyed them all like a hawk, scanning for exactly what he was seeking before glancing up at her with a smile. "How convenient," he said to her. "That's a good idea. And th--aha!" A grin came to his lips as he spotted a small metal safe at one of the stands. "There we go!" he said delightedly, immediately heading straight to that stall to ask the vendor how much the safe was. It appeared to key lock, rather than use a combination lock or a padlock, which he thought was more secure anyhow.

Amira was listening to what he was saying but was looking around at a very pretty candle holder when Weston's sudden Aha scared her and she jumped a little bit and then blinked at him and then shook her head when it was just about a safe that we was oh so excited about. She wondered what that was about, but then he did have a book he was working on that he might need to lock up or other valuables so she didnt think she should ask.

Weston quickly bought the safe, lifting it with ease and tucking it under one arm before turning towards Amira with a wide grin on his lips. "Guess I don't need the bag any more, I can just stash everything in here," he joked as he headed back over to her. He paused at the stall nearest her, eyeing up what appeared to be an extendable exercise bar - you wedge it between two sides of a door frame and then you can do pull-ups on it. With a shrug, figuring 'why not?' he pulled out some money and bought it, and then, as if to demonstrate, opened up the safe and put it inside.

Mari blinked. "Since when do you beat people with books. And I doubt the bragging really bothers Nadia. The girls got iron plated skin or something. Well unless its coming from you." She said and looked over at May. "Aww you look super pretty with your hair like that! Your moms not gonna know what to say when you get home lookin like a slightly more grown May." She said with a giggle.

Adrian raised an eyebrow. "Technically I work at a morgue. Who goes to a morgue to ogle some random guy..." He said and shook his head a little bit. He listened about Lorelei and nodded. "Well...Good to know you dont hate me completely anymore." He said and Micah looked at Dol with the puppy dog eyes. "But...Babe...Marshmallow weed..." He said and Adrian blinked. "Marshmallow weed?" He asked and Micah nodded. "Mhm. Sounds like a dream huh?" He said and flicked an ice cube away from him. Adrian shrugged. "I wouldnt know." He said and then felt Micahs head a little. "Fever went down like...a tiny bit...But it doesnt look like the ice baths doing a whole bunch, hed have to be in here for like at least another hour before hes down to normal people temp. And he's normally not even that warm.." He sighed.

Amira watched the man carry his safe and shook her head a little. Sometimes he reminded her of a big ole golden retriever puppy with the way he grinned like he did. "I guess so huh?" She said and watched him get the exercise bar and thought he must have been bigger on working out than she was.

Weston chuckled as he carried the safe back the rest of the way to her, grinning a bit. "You were right," he commented to her. "There's everything you could possibly want here, and more it seems." He was already quite impressed with the quality of the market - he'd quickly found not only the main thing he'd been looking for, but also something he hadn't been looking for.

Adrian blinked. "I know. Sometimes literally. Loris walked in on it one time. I have never wanted to die more than i did that day." He sighed and Micah gave Dol a look. "Someone does look at you like that." He said and shook the ice off of his shoulders. He was hating every second of this. Being cold was the absolute worse and he was stuck in the tub full of ice. Adrian looked over at Dol. "I work on dead people..And previously, on pregnant women, not sick people...Im just here if he passes out and we gotta move him or something..." He said.

Amira nodded. "There really is, I nearly always find things I dont really need but end up buying anyways, but im trying to be good today." She said and led him around to some other shops with home good items before looking up at him. "Well, what else did you want to go get? Clothes before groceries or..?" She asked.

Mari looked over at Masa and shrugged. "Well do it then. Not like my parents are gonna care. And I like that color sooo..." She said and shrugged a little. "I got sent to uncle Qs like a month ago because some boy asked me out and I told him id rather fall in the lake. And he told on me to his parents." She said and groaned a little bit. "Man now im thinking about breadsticks..." She sighed.

Weston continued to walk around with Amira admiring all that there was for sale. He didn't see much else that caught his fancy before Amira glanced over and asked whether he wanted to get clothe before groceries. He nodded slightly. "Yes, that would probably be the best idea," he said to her. "Just lead me to the best men's clothing shop and tell me where you'd like to meet when we're done? I shouldn't be too terribly long, it's just a matter of figuring out what fits and then buying, say, five or six of everything in varying colours," he laughed.

Barynn laughed softly at Lorelei's comment about Nasir writing to her. "That's actually very cute," she said softly, glancing down at the letter from Thuling. "This is the first letter I've actually had from this brother. I've heard a lot from my parents, and from my sister Gamaya, but Thuling hasn't written to me until now. He's had...a lot on his mind," she said softly. She saw Unarelle perk up slightly, clearly concerned at the prospect of what might be in that letter. She glanced over at the twin and smiled. "Fine. Lor says you can go, so you can go," she said with a laugh, but instead of leaving, Unarelle stood up and walked over to the counter, taking the letter and opening it. Barynn sighed. "Fine. Read my shit without asking. See if I care," she said in a teasing tone.

Mayelle raised an eyebrow when Mari commented on being sent to Uncle Q's. "Does he...discipline all of the kids in town for misbehaving?" she asked slowly, quite certain that she wanted to refrain from misbehaving if that was the case. She didn't want him upset with her; she had a feeling he could be quite scary when he was angry if he wanted to. She glanced towards Masami when he commented that Uncle Q had been seeing some redheaded woman. "Maybe I should tell my mother that," she said softly. "If he likes redheads he might get it in his head to start seeing her, but she's definitely not ready to date yet," she added. "Not so soon after finding out about my dad dying... I mean, when she's ready I'd be happy to see her see someone like Uncle Q because he's really nice, but now's way too soon."
