Weston laughed as she started listing off all the different alcohols available in the cupboards and he shook his head slightly. "I'm not sure I believe you," he teased in a gentle tone, though she definitely seemed too stable to be an alcoholic. He'd previously enjoyed everything that she'd just listed, though never to excess - he'd had drunken nights as a teenager, but had quickly outgrown that and his drinking had become more casual. He took another sip of his wine, turning his gaze back towards the flames as they flickered and leapt in the fireplace, dancing over the burning log.

Amira huffed and shook her head. "I cant even stomach most of that honestly. Its too much for me. I'll just stick with my wine." She said and watched the fire too. Something about Weston was oddly comfortable. She didnt feel the awkwardness she had expected to, having only met him a few hours ago. But here they sat teasing each other like old friends or something. Something was definitely fdifferent about this man, but it wasnt really a bad thing.

Weston smiled a bit, grabbing another chocolate and eating it slowly, savouring the flavour. If she'd made these ones too then she really did have an exceptional talent. He glanced her way, smiling. "Then I'll have to have a glass every now and then to - ahem - get the creative juices flowing," he said with a chuckle. Everyone knew that hard alcohol helped with writing, though he'd usually never have more than a glass or two when he was working. He was too worried about waking up and not remembering what he'd written. He'd heard of that happening to authors before and while it had resulted in some quality books, he'd rather know the ins and outs of his book perfectly.

Amira nodded. "Good. At least someone would be drinking them then." She said and looked back at the fireplace as the fire danced, taking sips of her wine here and there until her glass was empty and she let out a little bit of a sigh before getting up. "I'm going to head to bed. Put out the fire before you head to bed or whatever too, and feel free to eat the rest of the chocolate." She said and took her glass out to the sink and rinsed it before getting a cup of water and locking up the house. "Goodnight, Weston." She said and then disappeared up the stairs and into her room.

Weston smiled up at her as she stood. "Have a good night," he said. "I doubt I'll be much longer myself," he added before looking back towards the flames. It really was relaxing. After a short while, he finished his wine and almost all of the chocolates. Deciding he'd best stop while he was ahead, he extinguished the fire carefully, taking care to make certain that it was fully put out before he took his glass and the last few chocolates into the kitchen. He put the chocolates in the fridge and then washed his cup. He headed upstairs to his room, shutting the door behind him and beginning to get changed. He paused a moment as he took off his shirt, eyeing the heavy scarring across his chest. Working out with a shirt on was going to be an unusual change for him, but he couldn't let Amira see what was hidden beneath his shirt. He got changed before climbing into bed. It was a comfortable enough bed, and he found himself drifting off to sleep in almost no time at all.

Six in the morning rolled around and Amira was already up. She god up and knocked on Westons door. If he wanted to run, he'd get up. She walked into her bathroom and brushed her teeth and did her hair before she walked back into her room and got her winter running clothes on and went downstairs for some water before her run started. It was later than she normally ran, but today was a sunday which meant Amira was sleeping in.

Weston was surprised to find himself awaken peacefully, rather than violently from the clutches of some nightmare. He had just rolled over to get more comfortable when he heard a knock on his door. It took his brain a moment to register what the knock was, but then he realized that it must have been Amira come to see whether he wanted to run with her. He smiled a bit, getting up and pulling on a pair of comfortable pants and a different shirt. He headed to his washroom to brush his teeth and comb his hair, and then he headed downstairs just in time to see her in the kitchen getting some water. He grinned. "See? I'm up and ready," he told her with a chuckle.

Amira looked over and smirked. "Good, now you just gotta keep up." She joked and shook her head and poured him a glass of water. "Hydration is super important." She said and then peeked in the fridge while she drank her water, deciding what to make for breakfast later. She closed the fridge when she was done and looked over at Weston. "You ready? Its gonna be cold, you sure you dont need a coat of some sort?" She asked.

Weston laughed a bit when she said that he had to keep up. He had no doubt that keeping up would be no problem. He took the glass of water that she poured for him and downed it in one go, setting the glass back down on the counter. "Once I get going, the cold will be no problem. I've run in worse," he said, regretting the words the moment they left his lips. He only hoped she wouldn't ask any further. "Now, shall we get going?" he asked, hoping to derail her from thinking too long about his running in worse.

Amira blinked and raised an eyebrow for a second and then shrugged. "I used to run in the mountains, I get what you mean." She said and walked outside, closing the door and being careful about ice and stuff until they got to the running path. She started off with jogging and then got faster as they went. Amira had run like this every day since she was nine, so naturally she had gotten pretty fast, and her tiring out by the end of the two mile morning run was just not a thing. She didnt believe in chit chat while running so things were quiet until they had gotten back to where they started. She stopped and sighed a little. "Look at you, all in shape and what not. My old room mate only ran with me twice before she gave up." She said with a giggle as they walked back towards the house.

Weston quite enjoyed running with Amira. The chilly winter air was refreshing and it was nice to get out there and get some exercise. He'd stayed in taverns and inns along the way and they just didn't have the kind of space needed for a good workout. He noticed that Amira was quiet, but he didn't mind. He didn't tend to speak while running. He kept pace with her with no trouble at all and when they stopped, he was smiling. "Staying in shape is important," he said to her as they started back towards the house. "That was a great warm-up."

Amira grinned. "A warm up huh? Lucky for me thats all I need to do to sty in decent enough shape." She said and shook her head. They got to the house and walked in before Amira turned. "Alright well im gonna go bathe and then I will make breakfast and then we can go ahead and get you out to the market before it gets busy. Towels are in the hall closet if you need one." She said and walked upstairs and grabbed a towel before jumping in the shower.

Weston chuckled slightly at her comment. "Maybe, but I like to stay in something a bit better than just decent shape," he told her with a quick wink before she left. He headed into his room, figuring he had time to do a bit more before he had to shower and head down for breakfast, so he started in on some push-ups.

Amira thoroughly enjoyed the after run shower, it was just what she needed to relax her muscles after the run and put her in a good relaxed mood to start off her day. She was a thorough believer that if you started your day off positive, it would likely stay a positive day. When she was done she combed out her hair and threw her towel on before walking out of the bathroom.

When he felt he'd had a sufficient workout for this morning, Weston stopped and did a quick stretch. Once he was finished, he decided to go grab a towel from the hall closet and have a shower. He opened the door and immediately found himself face to face with Amira, who was leaving the bathroom. Dressed only in a towel. His mouth fell open slightly and then he quickly turned his head away, lifting his hand to cover his eyes. "Sorry, so sorry," he said. "I didn't realize you'd be - that you'd...sorry."

Amira opened the door and nearly ran into Weston, looking up and turning a little bit red and froze for a second while he was apologizing. But for what? Being in the hallway? She hook her head. "I-it's fine. Not your fault...Excuse me." She said and kind of awkwardly walked into her room. She closed to door and let out a nervous sigh. No man had ever seen her in just a towel before and it made her a little bit nervous. She sighed again and got dressed before going downstairs.

Weston waited while she left, not uncovering his eyes until he had heard the definitive sound of her door closing. He headed straight for his washroom, breathing a sigh of relief as he shut the door behind him. He'd expected her to be mad, and was relieved that she hadn't been. He got undressed and climbed into the shower, taking his time and enjoying the hot water against his skin. A hot shower was always welcome after a good workout, or even a short workout as this had been for him. When he was done he dried himself and then paused in front of the mirror. The towel wasn't quite long enough to cover his chest and lower half. He was going to need to invest in a robe. He opened the door just a crack to peek out and, satisfied that he could hear Amira moving around downstairs, he hurried into his room and shut the door.

Amira got to work on making them a healthy breakfast. She believed in taking the time to make breakfast instead of picking it up or skipping it completely. Mostly because she got really irritated by lunch time if she didnt make sure to eat. While she cooked she started humming at first but then it became full on singing as she swayed slightly while she cooked. Amira always liked singing, but rarely did it in front of other people. Weston was upstairs though in the shower, surely he wouldnt hear her even if he was in his room.

Weston got dressed, again asserting that he needed new clothing once Amira had taken him out to see the marketplace. New clothing, a robe, and a safe. Living with a female roommate would be a strange adjustment for him. Satisfied with his outfit, he left his room and started to head downstairs. He slowed somewhat on the staircase though, hearing a lovely noise from down in the kitchen. For a moment it sounded like humming, but then it graduated into singing. He could tell that it had to be Amira and he stopped on the staircase, smiling a bit as he listened.

Amira stopped singing after the one song and went back to just humming and cooking, eventually stopping the humming as well when things were nearing the end of her needing to cook. She finished things up and put them on plates and poured some orange juice. She couldnt hear the shower running anymore so she expected that Weston would be down soon, so she placed the plates on the table before going to grab the drinks too.
