Six in the morning rolled around and Amira was already up. She god up and knocked on Westons door. If he wanted to run, he'd get up. She walked into her bathroom and brushed her teeth and did her hair before she walked back into her room and got her winter running clothes on and went downstairs for some water before her run started. It was later than she normally ran, but today was a sunday which meant Amira was sleeping in.

Weston was surprised to find himself awaken peacefully, rather than violently from the clutches of some nightmare. He had just rolled over to get more comfortable when he heard a knock on his door. It took his brain a moment to register what the knock was, but then he realized that it must have been Amira come to see whether he wanted to run with her. He smiled a bit, getting up and pulling on a pair of comfortable pants and a different shirt. He headed to his washroom to brush his teeth and comb his hair, and then he headed downstairs just in time to see her in the kitchen getting some water. He grinned. "See? I'm up and ready," he told her with a chuckle.

Amira looked over and smirked. "Good, now you just gotta keep up." She joked and shook her head and poured him a glass of water. "Hydration is super important." She said and then peeked in the fridge while she drank her water, deciding what to make for breakfast later. She closed the fridge when she was done and looked over at Weston. "You ready? Its gonna be cold, you sure you dont need a coat of some sort?" She asked.

Weston laughed a bit when she said that he had to keep up. He had no doubt that keeping up would be no problem. He took the glass of water that she poured for him and downed it in one go, setting the glass back down on the counter. "Once I get going, the cold will be no problem. I've run in worse," he said, regretting the words the moment they left his lips. He only hoped she wouldn't ask any further. "Now, shall we get going?" he asked, hoping to derail her from thinking too long about his running in worse.

Amira blinked and raised an eyebrow for a second and then shrugged. "I used to run in the mountains, I get what you mean." She said and walked outside, closing the door and being careful about ice and stuff until they got to the running path. She started off with jogging and then got faster as they went. Amira had run like this every day since she was nine, so naturally she had gotten pretty fast, and her tiring out by the end of the two mile morning run was just not a thing. She didnt believe in chit chat while running so things were quiet until they had gotten back to where they started. She stopped and sighed a little. "Look at you, all in shape and what not. My old room mate only ran with me twice before she gave up." She said with a giggle as they walked back towards the house.

Weston quite enjoyed running with Amira. The chilly winter air was refreshing and it was nice to get out there and get some exercise. He'd stayed in taverns and inns along the way and they just didn't have the kind of space needed for a good workout. He noticed that Amira was quiet, but he didn't mind. He didn't tend to speak while running. He kept pace with her with no trouble at all and when they stopped, he was smiling. "Staying in shape is important," he said to her as they started back towards the house. "That was a great warm-up."

Amira grinned. "A warm up huh? Lucky for me thats all I need to do to sty in decent enough shape." She said and shook her head. They got to the house and walked in before Amira turned. "Alright well im gonna go bathe and then I will make breakfast and then we can go ahead and get you out to the market before it gets busy. Towels are in the hall closet if you need one." She said and walked upstairs and grabbed a towel before jumping in the shower.

Weston chuckled slightly at her comment. "Maybe, but I like to stay in something a bit better than just decent shape," he told her with a quick wink before she left. He headed into his room, figuring he had time to do a bit more before he had to shower and head down for breakfast, so he started in on some push-ups.

Amira thoroughly enjoyed the after run shower, it was just what she needed to relax her muscles after the run and put her in a good relaxed mood to start off her day. She was a thorough believer that if you started your day off positive, it would likely stay a positive day. When she was done she combed out her hair and threw her towel on before walking out of the bathroom.

When he felt he'd had a sufficient workout for this morning, Weston stopped and did a quick stretch. Once he was finished, he decided to go grab a towel from the hall closet and have a shower. He opened the door and immediately found himself face to face with Amira, who was leaving the bathroom. Dressed only in a towel. His mouth fell open slightly and then he quickly turned his head away, lifting his hand to cover his eyes. "Sorry, so sorry," he said. "I didn't realize you'd be - that you'd...sorry."

Amira opened the door and nearly ran into Weston, looking up and turning a little bit red and froze for a second while he was apologizing. But for what? Being in the hallway? She hook her head. "I-it's fine. Not your fault...Excuse me." She said and kind of awkwardly walked into her room. She closed to door and let out a nervous sigh. No man had ever seen her in just a towel before and it made her a little bit nervous. She sighed again and got dressed before going downstairs.

Weston waited while she left, not uncovering his eyes until he had heard the definitive sound of her door closing. He headed straight for his washroom, breathing a sigh of relief as he shut the door behind him. He'd expected her to be mad, and was relieved that she hadn't been. He got undressed and climbed into the shower, taking his time and enjoying the hot water against his skin. A hot shower was always welcome after a good workout, or even a short workout as this had been for him. When he was done he dried himself and then paused in front of the mirror. The towel wasn't quite long enough to cover his chest and lower half. He was going to need to invest in a robe. He opened the door just a crack to peek out and, satisfied that he could hear Amira moving around downstairs, he hurried into his room and shut the door.

Amira got to work on making them a healthy breakfast. She believed in taking the time to make breakfast instead of picking it up or skipping it completely. Mostly because she got really irritated by lunch time if she didnt make sure to eat. While she cooked she started humming at first but then it became full on singing as she swayed slightly while she cooked. Amira always liked singing, but rarely did it in front of other people. Weston was upstairs though in the shower, surely he wouldnt hear her even if he was in his room.

Weston got dressed, again asserting that he needed new clothing once Amira had taken him out to see the marketplace. New clothing, a robe, and a safe. Living with a female roommate would be a strange adjustment for him. Satisfied with his outfit, he left his room and started to head downstairs. He slowed somewhat on the staircase though, hearing a lovely noise from down in the kitchen. For a moment it sounded like humming, but then it graduated into singing. He could tell that it had to be Amira and he stopped on the staircase, smiling a bit as he listened.

Amira stopped singing after the one song and went back to just humming and cooking, eventually stopping the humming as well when things were nearing the end of her needing to cook. She finished things up and put them on plates and poured some orange juice. She couldnt hear the shower running anymore so she expected that Weston would be down soon, so she placed the plates on the table before going to grab the drinks too.

Weston had quite enjoyed hearing her sing. She went back to humming, though, and that faded before long. He figured now was as good a time as any to finish his descent down the staircase and head in to see her, not sure he wanted to admit to eavesdropping on her singing. He headed down and smiled at her as he walked in. "Hey," he said before spotting the plates on the table. He grinned a bit. "That looks great," he told her.

Amira turned when she heard Westons voice. "Hey. I was just about to go up and tell you that breakfast was done." She said with a smile before putting orange juice down at the table and smiling up at Weston. "Thanks." She said softly and sat down and munched for a second. "Oh uhm, there is coffee here if you drink that, I dont normally unless its at a cafe, but there is some there if you fancy making some for yourself." She said.

Weston smiled and sat down, taking a sip of his drink before starting to eat. He glanced up when Amira said that there was coffee available and he shook his head slightly. "Thanks, but no thanks. Coffee is only my friend when I'm trying to meet deadlines," he said with a light chuckle, taking another bite. "So, we're headed to the marketplace after breakfast. Tell me about the city a bit?" he asked, curious. What he was really hoping was that she'd mention a place where he could buy a small safe or a bathrobe, of course, but if not he'd find those shops when he was actually there.

Amira giggled a little. "It only my friend when its in chocolate." She said and shook her head a little before thinking about the city. "Well, where I will take you today is a to more than just a market for food, theres different shops around for clothes, home goods, jewelry, basically everything actually. I'll show you the shopping section of the city too where there is just normal shops with more specialized things you might need. If theres anything you need to get, let me know and I can show you where to get it." She said with a smile, popping a strawberry slice in her mouth before thinking again "You'll get to see more than I can think of while we're out."

Weston nodded as he listened. It was definitely a relief to hear her comment that the city had just about everything. That meant he'd be able to buy some new clothing, and a robe to wear in and out of the washroom to keep his chest covered, and a safe to stash his papers in the bottom of his closet. "I have a few things on my mind that I'd definitely like to find," he murmured with a nod. The clothing shopping, he figured, should probably wait for the end - after she'd finished showing him around and was ready to split off from him. He doubted she wanted to accompany him shopping for clothes as he was the type who'd prefer to try things on first. He liked to know what fit well and what didn't, and his muscular build made it somewhat difficult to know for sure what would fit.

Amira nodded. "Well, if you need it, you can probably find it pretty easy. Most of the shopping is done in one place around the center of the city." She said and went about eating. She thought about if she needed to get anything while they were out. She might have benefited from buying some more spring like dresses while they were on early sales for the next season. That depended on if Weston thought he could get back to the house without her though. He had managed to find the house in the first place, so she thought he probably could. It would be a little weird for her to ask him to stay while she tried on dresses, though imagining the look on his face hen he had to stand there and wait like the boyfriends she had seen waiting for their girlfriends or whatever. Their faces were always so priceless. But there was no way she was going to put Weston through that nonsense.

Weston nodded slightly. That sounded easy enough. He'd been to large cities where the shops were all over the place, with different businesses at all different ends of the cities and residential areas scattered throughout. It had been a mess, and he hoped that this city would be better laid-out. He continued to eat mostly in silence, his honey-brown eyes occasionally rising to peek across the table at her. She really was a beautiful woman. Had he met her in any other context, he might have asked her to go out with him some time. That made it unfortunate that she was his roommate, though, as they didn't need any sort of relationship beyond friendship that might complicate their living situation.

Amira ate pretty quietly, Weston didnt seem like much of a talker most of the time so until she knew him better she wasnt going to be real intrusive about getting him to talk either. She caught him peeking at her and blinked before raising an eyebrow. "What? Is there something on my face?" She asked and then blinked. "Is my hair a mess and I dont know about it?" She said then messed with her hair a little bit like she was trying to figure out if something was out of place. Her hair with it being decently curly often did things she would rather it didnt, and would get all kinds of out of place.

Weston felt his cheeks heat up a bit when she caught him peeking at her and he quickly shook his head. "No, no, nothing wrong," he replied quickly, giving her a small smile. "You look great, that's all. Don't mind me, I'm just envious of your good looks," he teased gently, hoping that would be enough to get him off the hook. He turned his attention back to his food, not daring to sneak another peek now.

Amira blinked at his words. "Oh well uhm..Thanks." She said softly and looked back down at her food. She thought she was pretty strange looking, and it didnt help that most people said she looked 'exotic'. Her father was very pale and his hair was a very pale nearly white shade of blonde, and her mother had dark skin like Amira did but her hair was jet black and Amira ended up a weird mix of the two with her fathers blue eyes, her mothers features and skin, and hair lighter than even her fathers. She had only caught Weston peeking because she had been peeking at him and accidentally caught him looking at her too. He was a very handsome man, certainly better looking than most of the men she had gone out with before. But she blocked the thought of that out of her head, they were room mates after all, and it wasnt like she thought either of them were down to mess that up in any way.
