| Name: Yoranda Natuvia Garmold | Age: 18 | Gender: Female | Sexuality: Straight | Height: 4'6" | Weight: 105lbs |

Appearance:
Standing at approximately four feet and six inches in height, Yoranda weighs only about 105 pounds. She has lightly-tanned skin and her build is slender. She has long, wavy dark hair that comes down just past her shoulders. Yoranda has large, round brown eyes, arched eyebrows, and a petite nose. She, like the rest of her family, sports full lips. Yoranda's outfits are less modest than her twin as her focus is more on style, and she can often be seen in a variety of pieces - skirts of all lengths, trousers with tall boots, blouses, tight-fitting tops, sweaters, anything she wishes to wear. The twins always wear a pair of matching golden rings with green stones in them that their older sister Barynn made for them.

Image

Personality:
Yoranda is perky, vibrant, upbeat, bubbly, and full of life. She has a tendency to be a bit loud and she loves to socialize. She is the type to strike up a conversation with a random stranger completely out of the blue. She loves to sing, and even when not performing, will sometimes just randomly sing for the fun of it. She loves dancing, chatting, and shopping. Yoranda can be a bit naive compared to her sister, however, and it is often Unarelle who will pull her sister out of situations that she's afraid may escalate. While Unarelle is dependent on Yoranda for socialization, it's Yoranda that's dependent on Unarelle for common sense. Yoranda has a tendency to be a flirt and will rarely back down from the opportunity to hop into bed with an attractive man. She hopes one day to fall in love, settle down, and have children, but for now, she is simply living life and having fun.

History/Bio
Yoranda and her twin sister, Unarelle, are tied for the position as the second-youngest of the eight Garmold children. They exhibited opposite personalities even from infancy, with Unarelle being a quiet baby who was easy to care for and Yoranda being a loud, demanding baby that drained all the energy of their parents. From early childhood, Yoranda demonstrated a passion and talent for singing, so her parents decided to enroll her in lessons. Her teachers quickly recommended that Yoranda should train for the bard's trade, and her parents agreed. When the twins were four years old, Yoranda fell ill and Unarelle spent all her time with her sick sister. The healers never could quite figure out what was wrong with her and could do little more for her than treat her symptoms. Eventually, Yoranda got better of her own accord.

Over the years, Yoranda has had several random episodes of sickness. Each time, her twin has been right there at her side. They still do not know what has caused it, only that Yoranda's sickness may be what's given her the vibrancy and love of life that she has. At sixteen, Yoranda became romantically involved with a boy from the settlement. He took her virginity, and while Unarelle was disappointed with her twin for giving up her virtue so early and so easily to someone with whom she knew it wasn't going to last, Yoranda was far from disappointed. Since then, she has dated and slept with a few different men including him - all of them multiple times over a period of time, and she's never been involved with more than one man at any given time.

Now, at eighteen, recent events are causing immense change in the lives of the twins. With two of their older siblings - Barynn and Istrain - having both left Bhagh-Nernwahrum to pursue lives on the surface, other families are beginning to look upon the Garmold family name as somewhat shameful. In an attempt to patch things up with the rest of their colony and preserve their good name, their parents have agreed to an arranged marriage for Unarelle to a young man from a family of high rank. He's had feelings for her for years, but she never reciprocated because she always thought he was an ass. Now, she has little choice. Hoping to save her sister and knowing that she'd easily be able to please the man and be a good wife, Yoranda even volunteered to take Unarelle's place and marry him, but he was insistent that it was Unarelle he wanted.

Frightened and devastated, Unarelle does not wish to marry this man. Yoranda has had to make a hard decision now and she has decided to take her twin and leave Bhagh-Nernwahrum in order to escape the arrange marriage. Their plan is to take all their savings and venture to Veritas Isle, where they know their older sister Barynn lives and they know she will take care of them until they figure out what to do with their own lives.

So begins...

Birger couldn't even get a word out before his customers cheered. "Well there you go, ya hired.... wait what if she can't freaking sing, you idiots?" He said and they just laughed. "Well... how about you give us a sample of your voice and then I will see if I should hire you are not, either way... you fuckers don't lay a hand on her. Got it?" He warned them and they nodded.

Yoranda couldn't help but to laugh when the customers started cheering. Apparently the tavern was in the market for a musician, who knew? She giggled a bit when Birger commented to the patrons that she might not even be able to sing, because she could definitely sing. As soon as he asked her for a sample of her voice, she grinned widely. She was excited to show him. She hadn't brought an instrument along, having left them packed up in her bags at Barynn's shop, but she could just sing vocals on their own. She smiled, taking only a moment to ease her nerves before she started to sing. Her voice was light and pretty, but it was also evident as she sang that there was enough power behind it to sing something more lively and upbeat if she chose.

Right as she finished the customers screamed, "Hire her!" Birger glared at them, "Fuck, will you let me say it first. Shit..." He said and looked over at her. "Your voice is... well lovely just doesn't cut it. You are hired. Your shift will be at six in the evening till whenever you want to end it. We close at two in the morning. When you want to start? If you want to wait till your foot is healed that is okay, if not I can come get you." He said and poured at customer a drink.

Yoranda giggled when the customers started shouting at Birger to hire her. She was grinning widely when he complimented her voice. As confident as she was in her own abilities, she always appreciated receiving compliments. "Thank you," she told him. "Maybe not tonight, but sooner than later is better. I can't let Istrain pay for everything for us for too long. Maybe tomorrow night? My foot will probably be much better by then as long as I rest it, and even if it's not, I can probably sit down to sing," she continued. She couldn't wait to tell Istrain that she got the job. He was going to be so proud of her - well, and the rest, but she was mostly excited to tell Istrain since he was the one who'd suggested it to her.

Birger nodded, "Sounds great to me. Also bring something people can put tips in. You will probably make more in tips than what I will be paying you." He said with a smirk. Haera came in dragging a man, "So... imma need you to take her home when you can. A bunch of fucking creeps made their way on the island and now I got to go fucking pick them out. This one went into Bary's shop and just... ugh... told them he wanted to do a photo shoot of them. Fucking pervs. I rather her, with a hurt foot, not walk around because she can't run if she needs to." She said. "Unless Istrain comes... but I rather you... since I can trust you to win a fight." She said before leaving.

Yoranda nodded when Birger said to bring something for tips. "Okay!" she replied cheerfully before her gaze shifted to the door as Haera walked back in, dragging some man with her. She raised an eyebrow slightly, keeping silent as Haera spoke. Just as she was finishing, the door opened and in came Istrain after her, just in time to hear the tail end of what she'd said. "Hey!" he protested as he reached them. "I'm perfectly capable of winning a fight. Now, who am I fighting?" he asked, not having heard the first bit where Haera told Birger to take Yoranda home. Then he looked towards his sister with a small smile. "Hi again, Yora," he added, and she giggled. "Hey, Istrain," she said, figuring she could wait to tell him she got the job until he and Haera and Birger were sorted out.

Haera looked over at him, "You do follow like a lost puppy, you know that right?" She patted his head with her free hand. "Good boy." She mocked before dropping her hand. "And the rest of the guys that are grouped with this asshole. About six more men. I told Birger to bring her back when they are done since I don't want her going back by herself with these assholes on the loose." She said. Birger nodded and the men in the bar nodded, "If they come in here we'll kick their ass. They don't mess with our Yora!" They said in unison. Birger groaned, "You have taken my men from me." He teased.

Istrain rolled his eyes when she patted his head and commented that he followed like a lost puppy. "They're my little sisters, I'm allowed to be concerned," he insisted. He nodded slightly when she told him about the rest of the guys that were with the first one. "Sure. Let's go fight some bastards," he said when she said there were about six more. He trusted Birger to get Yoranda home safely, and he chuckled when the men there referred to her as their Yora. Yoranda also laughed softly, looking across the counter at Birger. "Of course I did. That was part of my evil master plan all along," she told him with a giggle and a wink.

Birger watched the two walk out before looking at her shocked, "It is always the tiny ones... ALWAYS. Huh... and to think I was going to give you free food." He smirked before giving her a menu. "In case you get hungry. I can't leave the bar yet, sadly... I hope that is fine." He said and looked over his shoulder at her.

Yoranda laughed softly, taking the menu from him. "That's fine," she said to him. She definitely didn't mind sitting here and watching him work for a while. "Gives me more time to size this place up and evaluate my new army," she added with a laugh before turning her brown eyes towards the menu. Everything looked delicious and she had nowhere near as much experience with surface food as her siblings did, since they'd both been on the surface for several months before coming to the island, whereas she and Unarelle had simply made a beeline for the island with all the money they had.

Birger pouted, "Stealing my men... a small little thing... ugh." He teased before walking in the back and getting something and then coming out. He leaned over the bar and gently pushed the menu back and forth teasingly, smirking. She was a cute little thing and her aura was different. He hadn't seen one like that before. It was gorgeous and he wanted to touch it, but it would be weird. "Have you picked yet.... you take like... foreevveerr." He teased before peeking from behind and smirking.

Yoranda laughed softly at how put out he seemed to be about her stealing his patrons away from him. She kept her focus on the menu until Birger leaned over and started to play with her menu. She giggled a bit, looking up at him. "I can see why you're friends with my brother now," she said before rotating the menu to face him and pointing. "I'll take that...and that...and one of these...and this to drink, please," she said. It was a lot of food for a tiny dwarven girl like her, but she'd always had a quick metabolism, she exercised, and she just really, really loved food some days.

Birger nodded and took down her order. "That will be right out." He smiled and straitened up a bit before walking in the back and started to make her food. He would come out every now and again to fill cups and take orders. He would look at her through the window and playfully glare at her. "I see you... stealing my men... I got you little girl. I will get you back, oh ho don't you worry." He chuckled.

Yoranda smiled up at Birger before he left. She sat patiently at the counter, taking in every little detail of her surroundings. Whenever she spotted Birger playfully glaring at her through the window, she couldn't help but to giggle, giving him a little smirk accompanied by either a wave or a wink each time. She was surprised by how immediately friendly he was to someone who was going to work for him. For all he knew, she had shit work ethic. It wasn't an unpleasant sort of surprise, though, and she had a feeling that she was going to thoroughly enjoy working here - not just to admire him physically, but also to joke around with him like this, assuming that would continue.

A few hours went by and he had enjoyed himself with Yoranda. He got to know her a good bit and he was comfortable with her and having her sing here. "So you think you can handle the famous life when you become a star? You even notice me." He pouted and pretended to wipe a tear. "It all starts when you start to work for me. People will come in. You will sing. Someone will sweep you off your feet and you will sing somewhere else. And when you think back I will be... just a long lost memory." Birger cried. A customer shook his head. "You are so damn old you probably be dead before she makes it that big."

Birger glared, "I am only freaking thirty! It won't take her fifty years or so to get that famous. Have some faith in her.... it will at least be half that." He joked and winked at her. "Honestly though, she will bring in some good people and then I am going to really need to hire Haera to be a bouncer or something." He sighed and the patrons laughed.

Yoranda laughed as Birger talked about being just a memory to her. She'd really been enjoying talking with him. He was sweet, and he was funny, and it she didn't know any better - because he was her boss now - she'd have thought that she was detecting some almost flirtatious undertones in his voice. "Make this job worth my while and I won't forget you," she teased, amused that he'd already made her feel comfortable enough for jokes like that despite not having started work yet. "Haera would make a great bouncer. She seems tough," she remarked, though her interaction with the blonde that Birger seemed to think would capture her brother's heart had been minimal thus far.

Birger liked the kid, she had a spunk in her that he knew would take her far. Almost instantly he had been drawn to her and the hours that had passed seemed to prove that she was a keeper, in his tavern that is. He knew he was being a bit on the flirty side, but he honestly couldn't help it. It was like she drew it out of him. Birger knew she was a good bit younger than him and she would never be interested in an older guy, but he like the teasing back and forth and that aura of her's was interesting. He couldn't help but be drawn to it.

Birger laughed, "Oh make it worth your while? Damn, guys she is going to forget me." He said and they chuckled. "Ahh yeah... she was literally trained to fight people, well we were. I trained with her." He said. A part of him wanted to gently tug on her hair and another part of him wondered what was taking Haera so long. "I have never seen your brother fight... can he?" He asked her. If she had to pick up his slack they both could have gotten hurt and he was starting to worry a bit.

Yoranda laughed along with the men when Birger said that she was going to forget him. If she was here any decent amount of time, she highly doubted that she could manage that. He seemed like a great guy. She listened curiously when he said that he and Haera had been trained to fight, and when he questioned whether Istrain could fight, she could immediately tell what he was thinking - he was worried about them. "Istrain's a good fighter. He can hold his own," she replied confidently. "I mean, he tracked down and killed the guys who murdered his best friend, and every last one of their associates...that's kind of bad ass," she said softly. "I'm sure he and Haera are fine."

Birger nodded, "Good, because I am not worried about Haera taking on many people. We fought in a war together, but your brother... he is a trader and most traders only know the basic so they can't easily get robbed... but if he has done as you said I shant worry about that... only you stealing my customers." He smiled and went tend to a new group of people that came in for drinks. "If you wanna rest I can take you to my quarters up stairs and you can lounge about that." He said, looking over at her from where he was.

Yoranda giggled as he again returned to the topic of her stealing his customers. When he proposed taking her up to his quarters to rest, she blinked in surprise but then nodded. "I'd actually really appreciate that," she said softly. "I know you're busy and I have a feeling you'd be in trouble with Haera if you let me leave on my own," she continued with a giggle. She was a bit worried about her sisters, though, as Istrain was obviously with Haera and that left Barynn and Unarelle alone at the shop. They had a dragon, of course, but they were probably worried about her and about their brother. She just wasn't sure how she'd get the message to them that she was still at the tavern.

Birger nodded and went around, lifting her, before telling a patron he trusted to watch over, and then went up and placed her on his bed. "There you go... sadly the bathroom is up stairs." He chuckled. "I am sure you can find a way up it though." He said. Birger pointed out things if she wanted to eat or drink and then he turned back to her. "Need anything else?" He asked softly. It was evident that she was a bit worried about her family, "I can get someone to tell your sisters about you being here if you want." He said.

Yoranda let out a surprised squeak as Birger picked her up. She likely wasn't going to be getting used to that any time soon. She carefully held on to him while he carried her upstairs. She smiled up at him as he laid her down. His room smelled good. "I don't think there's anything else I need," she told him. "I would appreciate having someone tell my sisters, though. They're probably worried - especially poor Una, she's not used to being away from me for very long," she added with a laugh and a shake of her head.

Birger nodded, "Will do." He said. "I will come and check on you every now and again. Gods know what else you gonna steal." He smirked before heading down and getting his sister who had just walked in to go and tell Barynn that he will be bringing her back after he closes shop and she looked at him like he was stupid before saying she could run the bar while he was out and he nodded. Birger hadn't thought about that. He went back up. "My sister is here, so she can take over." He said and held his arms out. "Hop in." He joked before picking her up and going back down, except he went out the back door instead of through the tavern.

"I hope your brother sees me carrying you." He chuckled. "Istrain is going to go all big brother mode and be like 'put her down or I will beat you blah blah blah'. He is very... blinded when it comes to your sister's flaws in the relationship with Luther... Luther didn't want to enable her by always bringing her food and what not. He wanted her to learn responsibility. I can't blame him though, no one wants to have to deal with someone whose head is that far up in the clouds. Then it was the thing with your brother. Luther cares deeply for Barynn, so when she got attacked he got really worried and it didn't help him none that your sister is... like I said... lacks responsibility, even when it comes to her own safety.

"So when your brother came looking beat up and he, as always, has that attitude Luther went on the defensive and your sister claims she was trying to keep her away from him. Which... I don't appreciate a liar. He had no idea he was her brother, if he knew he would have happily let him in. And it is probably different down where you all come from, but up here... well..." Birger shrugged. "And Luther has his flaws too, the man can be a bit controlling, like with getting her a dragon without at least easing her into it. That is like shoving a baby right into her lap and saying here... take care of it." He said.

Birger sighed, "But me and Luther are alike in many ways. We both can't be with a woman who can't take care of herself. Unhealthy habits might be fine now, but in the long run it does damage. We both have seen it for ourselves and we won't stay there and watch it happen to those we care about. We are going to leave before that happens. Oh and then there was this thing about the dresses... dear god... he bought her some more... dresses and when they got in that argument she complained that he bought dresses that weren't her, but apparently she still took them and wore it." He got to the shop and set her down gently. "Your sister can be a nice woman, but she sure doesn't know how to communicate and take responsibility for her own actions. If she doesn't want something, say so. Don't blame the other person. Anyway... don't let her or your brother paint Luther into a bad guy... because he isn't." He said and waved. "Gotta get back... see ya." He said and walked off.

Morning eventually came. Since Istrain was...somewhere...and Haera's words had seemed to indicate to the sisters not to disturb him, the twins had decided to stay with Barynn that night at the shop. Barynn had been the first to wake up, retreating into the back room to get her mind off things and do some work. Next had been Yoranda, who'd ducked into the back to ask Barynn whether she and Unarelle could take Longrus for a walk since he was just so cute. Barynn had agreed, so Yoranda woke her twin and the two leashed up the dragon and headed out. Neither was quite sure where to take him, though, so they just let him lead them through the streets at random.

Meanwhile, in his hotel room, Istrain was still sound asleep. His injuries had taken a lot out of him and he'd basically been sound asleep since Haera had left. Once he was awake, though, he knew that he had a sizeable sum of money to drop off at the tavern. All night he'd been unable to think - or dream - of much besides Haera and that kiss, how sweet and tender and unexpected it had been, how good it had felt, how sweet she'd tasted...

Barynn laughed a little bit. She went and sat behind the counter. It wasn't much longer before the twins came in. Yoranda's limp was a little more pronounced now than it had been when she'd left, and she made a beeline for the futon while Unarelle removed the leash from Longrus. "Hey, Haera," said Yoranda with a smile as she sat down, and then she looked towards Barynn. "Maybe walking him while my foot's still bad wasn't the best idea," she said, and her older sister raised an eyebrow. "You think?" she asked.
