Setting
Castle Hilyard is the home to the royal family including the maids, butlers, and other servants.
Elwin could tell he liked Marcus. He patted the guy's shoulder, "He did the same thing with me for years. I mean... since I was thirteen. I am sorry he is acting this way. I couldn't help him, but I think you can. Erorn, I know you like him, you wouldn't have came all this way if you didn't. Once I leave the castle, it will be up to you to put him back together. If he says don't touch him, do it... but lovingly. He might push you away, but keep going. He needs to get out of his comfort zone. It is going to be hard and he will say shit that will hurt you and I know he is a good person at heart... I just wasn't strong enough then to put my foot down and when he came back it was too late." The carriage came in front of the castle. "You are going to have to show me to where he is, I haven't been here in a very long time."
Marcus got up when the sun hit him. He sat up in bed and recounted last night's events. He hated himself. He didn't try hard enough to get Elwin to stay and now he was gone for good. Then Erorn wanted to be friends... "What kind of bullshit is that?." He whispered to himself. He put on some dark grey sweatpants and his running shoes and headed to the head of the castle. He began running around the courtyard and castle. Anyone staying in his hall could see them from their window.
Erorn woke up later than Marcus. He had a terrible headache from the emotional ride he went on last night, but he was hopeful for being Marcus' friend instead of his pet. He wanted to learn more about him, but Elwin's word's echoed in the back of his mind. "It is going to be hard and he will say shit that will hurt you and I know he is a good person at heart"
"Here's day one, he's probably going to say some pretty hurtful shit to me, I won't let it get to me. He's in pain and he's going to lash out and he views me as the source." He prepared himself. He got dressed in some normal clothes and went down to the kitchen. He noticed Marcus jogging as he got dressed. He grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down at the table for the servants of the castle. He took a few sips and enjoyed it before Marcus was going to come back in and ruin the mood.
Josh made his way to the castle. He talked to one of the servants who went and got Marcus. When he showed up at the door he saw a look of confusion on his face. "Hello Marcus, I see you weren't expecting me. You see, you have a choice to make and my boss will be rather upset if you don't show up on time. Here's your first clue, it should lead you to the others." He gave a devious smirk as he handed Marcus the envelope. "Oh one more thing it might be a good idea to consider what and who you value in your life. And time is of the essence, so probably best not to waste it following or trying to capture me. See you soon." He chuckled as he walked away.
It had been days since Erorn left. Harper was sad, but he could see the relief underlining her sadness. Marcus checked every night to see if he got his stuff or asked the guards if he had seen Erorn around, but no one had saw him since he left. He went by his old home, but no one was there. And then it dawned on Marcus, that either he left for good or he was missing. If he was missing, Marcus wouldn’t even know where to begin, then a few days later he got a hint, literally.
Josh, the guy he knew didn't feel right about, came to him with a hint. Marcus waited till he left to read the note and growled. He told Romilly that he was going to be gone for a bit. He kissed her forehead and left her standing there in confusion. He already knew who the note was from by the hint. Marcus went to the first spot, where the two stars kissed. Hopefully this fucking Josh was there with hint number two.
