Elwin looked him over. "Handsome and protective. I like that." He teased before his mother answered the door. They walked in and took a seat.
"You spoil us too much! Thank you, thank you. We really do love your baking. As for us," She had started working on making tea, "We have been working like crazy. Some of us so much we got sick." Elwin looked up, "Is it Lorelei? I am sure that me and Roshia can pick up some of her load. She doesn't need to be straining herself."
His mother waved a dismissive hand as she set the kettle on the stove and sat down, "Oh no, your father and I made sure she didn't have a load on her. It is Roshia, seems she has come down with a small flu of some sorts." Just then the door opened and Roshia walked in. She froze for a moment, "Ahh, I didn't mean to break up the conversation. I just need to speak with mom real quick."
Elwin got up and walked up to her, "I hope you feel better. If you need anything just ask." She looked at him weird. "Uhm, thanks." She said before going into her father's office.
Her mother got up, "Excuse me boys, we will be just a minute." She followed her daughter into the room and closed the door.

"Mother, I need you to keep me being pregnant a secret, but it seems you are already covering for me. Thanks." She whispered.
"Of course, dear. I wouldn't want to start anything with anyone. It is your business. May I ask who the father is?" She smiled, holding her daughter's hands.
"His name is Rowan Todd." She whispered. Her mother's eyes grew wide. In all honestly she didn't know if it was his or not, but it was the story she was sticking to. "I needed to cool off from what happened and I went to the tavern by the lake. He was there and... well yeah. He is a sweet man, mother. We... uhm we are getting married the day after the festival it will be by the lake. We want everyone to think we got pregnant after and that the baby came a few weeks early." She was in tears again and her mother held her.
"There there, child. I will tell your father and the rest of the family about the wedding and keep quiet about the pregnancy. I am so happy for you, my sweet Roshia." She laughed softly through her tears before fixing her face and drying it.
"Let me give you back to the boys, okay." Her mother nodded and they walked out. She stopped by the door and looked back, "Elwin, if you are staying the night here can you stop by my house please? I would like to talk to you."
Elwin's face lit up, "Of course." She nodded to the rest of the group before heading out to her house.

Elwin giggled, trying not to be to loud, "Stop you, you going to make me choke on my delicious coffee." He laughed playfully swatting at his hand, but he was worried about Roshia. She did indeed look sick, but there was something more to it. He could feel something in their twin bond, thought it was faint. She was hiding something. When she came out and asked that he come to her house to talk he was excited. He hadn't been over since he left her the cake. She never talked about it or thanked him. It hurt, but he expected it.
"Sorry about that, where were we? Hmm, what are you two doing for the festivals?"

Elwin held his hand, laughing "Now you are in trouble, I am going to have to hold your hand, tis tis.." He looked towards his mother as she spoke then to Elwin. He nodded in agreement.
"Ah yes, the festival is a good thing to experience from outside the booth. I remember long ago when we ran a booth, we were lucky to have a good one where the fireworks were near, but after my first set of twins were born I out my foot down. I wanted to spend the time with my family. So my husband took on the booth and hired helping hands." She laughed, "Oh! I almost forgot. Roshia is getting married the after the festival. Maybe that is why she wanted to talk to you after Atlas has left."
"Wait, what? When did this happen and to who?!" Elwin was confused, he knew for a fact it wasn't their brother because Nasir told him that she wanted to break it off and that he was talking to Ofelia, but he didn't know who she was seeing. His mother smiled brightly, "Rowan Todd, the mayor's son."
"Well hot damn, I wonder how she snagged him... and so quickly. Oh I can't wait, though I don't know if I could make a wedding dress that fast. Unless we ransack Ameria's closet. Girl knows she has more wedding like dresses than one woman should have." He laughed. His mother gave him an, excuse-me look before smiling and fixing herself some tea.

Elwin nodded,"Thank you so much, that means a lot." He blushed when Atlas kissed his cheek, especially in front of his mother. They walked to the door where he watched him until he couldn't see Atlas anymore, than he turned back to his mother who was smiling ear to ear.
"You two love birds." She cooed.
"Mother, stop" He blushed, but he loved the fact that she accepted him. She laughed and nodded. He gave his mom a hug before heading out and walking over to Roshia's. He was nervous, but he knocked gently, "It is me, Elwin." He felt stupid saying his name like she would forget him.
Roshia answered and let him in. "Congratulations on the marriage. You seemed to hook the unhookable." He joked. She smiled softly, but didn't laugh. Roshia would have laughed if it was before everything had went down. He cleared his throat, "So what is it you wanted to talk about? I am all ears."
Roshia sat down in her chair and motioned for him to sit across from her and he obeyed. "Look I know... we haven't been close in the last three or so weeks. I am... I am not as angry as I was before. I am just more hurt than anything. I felt betrayed, but now that I have a clear mind about it... you were also just trying to help." She didn't look at him when she spoke. He could tell she was trying not to cry. "You are my twin and my other half, so I am trusting you with this... but break it and I will never speak to you again." This time she looked him straight in the eye.
"I understand completely. I am sorry for before, I just didn't know how to go about it." He said softly. She smiled again.
"Good, because what I am about to say is very very hard. I am pregnant, El." She went back to not looking at him. She stared at her hands the whole time. He was in complete shock. "And it is for...Nasir?" Roshia bit her bottom lip.
"I... I don't know who it is for." She whispered, crying now. Elwin got up and drew her into a hug. She didn't pull away, but sank into him.
"You... slept with Rowan too?" She shook her head yes. "Hot damn, lucky you." She sat up and gently punched his arm.
"Jerk. We met at the tavern by the lake. It is such a funny man, but we got drunk a few nights after... and the next thing I know I am in his bed. It was so awkward for a bit after. El, he doesn't even know if it is his and he proposed marriage." She looked up at him broken. He wiped her tears away, "He is a good ass man. I should stamp him with my approval."
"Please don't touch his butt, I don't think Atlas would approve." She laughed. "Atlas looks like a good guy, seems like one too. I could hear you giggling in the other room at our parent's house." He blushed.
"He is amazing. So sweet... and devilishly hot. Oh gosh and his lips are so soft." He swooned and she listened. It was like old times. "By the way, he wants to do your cake as your wedding gift. What do you want your flavors to be?"
She held her hand over her mouth before speaking, "Ugh, food. Hmm I really loved that cake you made. I would love that again."
Elwin smiled and sat up, pulling her up gently. "As you wish, now let's go raid Ameria's closet and I can hem it for you. She can go without one dress." Roshia held hands with her brother, like old times, as he lead the way into Ameria's house. They finally decided on a white floral dress. They talked a little more before they said their goodnights and headed off to each other's houses.

Elwin and Roshia had been up before sunrise getting things done. He had put on the final touches to the dress and looked over it. He loved it. He made sure it fit to her body, showing off all her curves. He touched up a couple of the flowers then moved back "You look... hot. If he doesn't instantly get a woody than you need to turn back around because hunny, he ain't straight." Roshia blushed, laughing at her brother. She looked down at the dress. It was gorgeous. Her brother was a genius.
"Thank you, as usual, you know exactly how to work your magic." Roshia smiled. Elwin was about to respond when he heard a knock at the door. He dusted his hands and walked to the the door, opening it. There stood Atlas with a bunch of stuff.
"Atlas, oh... the stuff. Uhm,." He looked back at Roshia. She looked up at him, "You can help him put the stuff up, mom is going to want everything in her house." Elwin nodded and walked out of the house, closing the door. "So how did you sleep?" He asked as they walked to his parent's house.

Elwin felt bad, but Atlas seemed he didn't want to talk much so he kept quiet. He knew no one would be inside since his mother, father, and the rest of the siblings in the house would be out by the lake setting up everything for the wedding. In the house things were different. A lot of the stuff in the kitchen and living room had been moved out and it was decorated. There were tables empty and ready to be filled. Elwin looked back at Atlas, "You can put the cake over there in the kitchen." He said before he started putting stuff on the tables.

Elwin didn't look back when Atlas asked if something was wrong, "Nope, thought you weren't in the mood to talk is all." He leaned back a little, chuckling. "Mmm you missed me so much that you had to read yourself to sleep and end up in a horrible position." He turned around to where they were facing each other. "As for MY precious kitty I have a plan. I will not see her for a long time to where she will miss me so much she will come home with me. My truly evil plan." He pretended to laugh evilly.

Elwin wrapped his arms around Atlas' waist and pulled him closer, "Mmm, stealing you cat sounds more fun. But seriously, you need to at least read in bed. So you don't keel over." He said. One of his arm's moving up and gently cupping Atlas' face before kissing him.
Roshia walked in at the perfect time. She was dressed as normal again and wanted to see if they needed help, but the two love birds seemed done and were making out in front of her. "If you two are going to do anything I want to watch... for educational purposes." She said with a smile.

Elwin froze. He had no idea Atlas was into things like that... and with his sister... who was pregnant of all things. "I... I... ." He couldn't say anything and just looked between the two. Both of them were smirking at him. He finally caught onto what they were doing and gently shoved Atlas away. "Haha! Make fun of the virgin boy over here." He went around the table to continue putting things up.
Roshia laughed. "I am sorry, my dear other half. The door was open and I ran in. It had been a while since I joked with you." She walked over and hugged her brother from behind, staring at Atlas. He seemed decent, for a devilish looking man. Elwin just continued placing things, not looking up at the anyone of them. "Nice work you did here, Atlas, thank you." She let go of her brother and walked to the door, she had things to do. Roshia looked back and smiled innocently, "A little bird told me what you did for Elwin last night when the festival was over. Thank you... but you got to show me that face you made to scare the guy off like that. Maybe I could not have to beat the hell out of anyone if I learned that look." She laughed before walking out.

Elwin grumbled, "You are the devil, I knew it." He huffed turning his back on Atlas and fixing up the other table. "Now I am going to have to put forth my plans to steal Biscuit and make you sleep alone. Revenge is best served cold, mister." He laughed, but he couldn't help thinking of Atlas... alone in his home. Elwin never paid much attention to going to bed alone. He was always surrounded by his family and he never thought he was going to get a partner, so he just became use to it.
Elwin turned around, "Have you ever dated before, Atlas?"

Elwin listened and stayed quiet. He wasn't mad, he had no reason to be, but he did feel concerned. So he knows what he is doing. And I am probably his new play toy. Shiny and new. Never before played with. Ugh... I feel sick." He was done with his table, but he didn't want to turn around just yet. Elwin couldn't put a finger on how he truly felt or why he felt like that to begin with. He was about to turn around and excuse himself when a familiar voice rang in. "And you think that you are good enough for my little brother?" It was an elegant voice, full of confidence and judgment. He turned around and saw his eldest sister, Ameria. She looked at Atlas, judging him from the toe up, before turning to him and smiling. "My dear brother. I have missed you so much." They hugged. "I see I came back in time for Roshia's wedding. That seerer was right." She laughed. "Oh I stopped by Roshia's place. Saw the remastered dress of mine, love it. As usual, your handy work is marvelous... Oh... how rude." She turned back to Atlas and smiled, "I am Ameria, eldest sister, and twin to Nasir. I have just returned from a long journey to find a very special plant. I hear you are Atlas... like a book of maps."

Elwin just stood there, you could cut the tension with the knife. Oh gosh, why did she have to come back? Right now, especially." He could tell by the way they looked at each other that it wouldn't be good to have them in the same room for a long time. Atlas was one thing, even with his scary face, but Ameria had... ways of hurting people. "Mm, yeah I am glad I made it when I did." She turned her attention back to Elwin. "Elwin, a word outside please." He nodded, excusing himself from Atlas and walked outside with her. "I know you aren't fond of my advice, but be careful with him. I didn't just come back for Roshia's wedding. I know you like him," She smiled, taking his braid apart and fixing it for him, "but darkness has a way of making you think it is the light. And I rather not have another brother go crazy." She smiled. After finishing his hair she walked off with a wave. He bit his lip before walking back in, keeping his eyes to the ground.

Elwin looked up and saw Atlas with the box that had everything in it. He looked ready to leave and even suggested he should. He stared at Atlas for a moment, letting what his sister said run through his head. "but darkness has a way of making you think it is the light. He casted the advice aside and nodded, "If you need to I won't hold you up." He smiled and held the door open for him.
