Tilly looked over at fab with just a blank stare. She didn't understand love, she didn't know what it was like to love her family or be loved by them and that had fucked up her whole view on it. When he mentioned Bel being so over their previous situation that he was a reliable source of information on what she was like in bed she narrowed her eyes. "He never seemed the type to just openly talk about things like that...what did he say..?" She asked. She'd not really thought about it before now. He said he loved her as a best friend and she stared back up at the ceiling. "I'm not used to that either...." She said softly.
Fabian sighed, "Okay maybe I made him talk about it, but like... he said really nice things so." He said and smirked a bit before sighing and rolled on his tummy and looked at her. "I wasn't at first either, Tills... my father was FAR from the father type... and my mother loved me, though I don't get why since she sent me away and I think it was more so because she hated my half sister so much that she didn't want me to take her side. It was bad enough Codon did." He said and looked down at the floor. "Then I became so damn cocky and shit that I didn't really keep friends. Well not until a couple years ago... I had to realize I can't just keep pushing people away. Friends are nice." He said and poked her all over the face and laughed.
Tilly blinked. "Made him talk? How? Wait why would you even want to know?" She asked. "Well at least it was nice things. I was worried after he wouldn't look at me when we were done. Covered his eyes and everything. " She said and then shrugged. "I think my parents only had me because they were afraid it would be a waste of their genetic intelligence if they didn't. I was more of a student of theirs than I ever was a daughter." She shrugged. "I'd never had a best friend before you. I just assumed it was because of the way that I am, but it never really bothered me that I didn't really have one. It probably would now that I know what it's like because of you though. That would suck if you suddenly decided not to be my best friend anymore."
Fabian smirked, "I like to have knowledge is all, Tills. Plus hearing him talking about it and his face going red was priceless." He chuckled and looked at her. "That's damn sad... how could they have resist loving your cute face? Ugh I bet you had the chubbiest cheeks. I wouldn't have a kid... knowing me. I would be the shittiest father. I mean... probably not as much as my father and maybe your father... mostly my father... someone should have castrated him before he could have kids." He shook his head and smiled really big when she called him her best friend. "Ugh how can I not be your bestest friend? I am too attached now. I would die if we weren't besties. Also... we gotta sleep in closet or at least go in the closet in..." He scrambled up and looked outside. "In about twenty minutes. "A storm is coming and it looks like it is going to be bad." He said and walked back in to move the beast off of her. Fabian would have gone off with a hot redhead from the dog park but he saw the clouds and thought best that he would just stay home and hide with Tilly. The thought of her being alone in this killed him.
Tilly sighed an." Aww I wanna watch his face go red.." she said and then shook her head. "If that happened then you wouldn't exist and I still wouldn't have a best friend." She said and then watched as he scrambled up. "Shit...I can take my meds. They'll knock me out until morning. I hadn't been able to get them refilled before the last storm when we hid in the closet.." When he got Titan off of her she went to go get her meds which were basically just a tranquilizer in pill form.
Fabian patted her head, "Well imma still be here if you need." He said and walked into the living room where he sat down and watched the storm creep in. He started to like the storms on the islands. It felt more intense and soothing up here, though he knew it wouldn't be the case for Tilly, though he did find it rather cute how scared she got.
Tilly popped her little pill in her mouth and swallowed it with some water. He knew it wouldn't be long before she zonked out. She walked out I the living room. "Hey. Would you mind making sure I'm still breathing normally in a couple of hours? I should be, one time I stopped breathing altogether though so.." she said and shrugged and then walked into her room to change into comfy clothes before he had a chance to pass out.
Fabian held her hand gently, yet protectively. When they entered their home he sat her down. "I will be right back. Going to draw you a bath." He said softly and walked away. He started on and added so calming oils to the bath before walking out and getting huffed at by Titan who galloped over to his momma. Fabian waited before telling Tilly she could go in.
Tilly followed along with him and sat down when he said that he was going to draw her a bath. She loved on Titan when he came over, he definitely made her feel a little bit better at least. When Fabian said she could go in she looked up at him and then smirked a little bit. "I'd ask you if you wanted to come with, but theres no way we're both fitting in the tub so.." She said and walked up to him. She pulled him down and kissed his cheek. "Thanks...For trying so hard to get me out of the dragons mouth earlier." She said softly and then let go of him and walked into the bathroom and got into the bath, trying to relax as much as she could.
Fabian laughed a bit and smiled softly when she kissed his cheek. He watched her walk away and went change. He got into sweats and a loose tank before laying on the couch backside up. And petted Titan who laid on the floor. Would she even say yes to dating him? Probably not... he wasn't date material but he had to ask.
Tilly soaked in the bath for a while until she felt pretty normal again. Well, normal for her anyways. She got out and dried off, walking out in just a towel and seeing Fab on the couch like he was. "Do I wanna know..?" She asked and then backed into her room and got dressed in a pair of comfortable pajama shorts and a tank top and then came back out and laid on the floor with Titan, loving on him a little bit. "Im not sure what you did, but that was like the most relaxing bath ive ever had. I almost feel like a person now. Almost." She said and looked up at him.
Fabian looked up and watched her back out before he could answer and sighed. He laid his head back down and watched her lay next to the dog and love on him. He smiled when she said that bath was the most relaxing. "My own concoction... you are very welcome." He said and reached over to rub her cheek softly. "About earlier... I meant for us to be in a relationship." He said softly.
Tilly blinked when he rubbed her cheek and then looked at him like she didn't really understand. "You said you didn't do relationships. That people are just going to end up disappointing each other and it's not worth it. " She said. "I don't want to mess things up. You're the only best friend I've ever had. I don't want to end up disappointing you." She said and then looked away for a second. "I don't even know if I'm capable of really loving someone like that anyways. That wouldn't be fair to you or anyone. So maybe it's better that I don't dont risk that..." She said. She had no idea why he'd suddenly changed his tune about things. "Are things going to get weird now..?" She asked softly.
Fabian went quiet while she talked and when she asked if things were going to get weird he shook his head. "Nope..." He said and Titan some pats before getting up. "I am going to go out. May or may not be back tonight." He said and walked into his room before softly closing the door. She snapped him out of that delusion real quick and now he was going to go do what he did best. Be Fabian. He walked out dressed to go out and looked at her. "There are leftovers if you get hungry and I got snacks yesterday so there is that." He said. "And there you go." He said before opening the door, "See ya." He said and walked out.
Nasir laughed, "I think that would make grumpy Avery more grumpy." He said. Meri ran for the door but the leash yanked her back and she fell. "Toopid!" She huffed. Nasir looked down, "That's not nice, Meri." He said and she just huffed. "I think she is ready to go." He chuckled before opening the door. They walked over to his mother's house, though having to stop for Meri to yell at flowers and call them pretty before picking them. By the time they got there Lir was screaming and crying and Meri had a bouquet. He walked in and saw his mother coming from the kitchen and Agis peeked up from his book. "Hey!" He smiled and hurried over. "Hey, Gracie." He smiled before kissing the top of Meri's head and gently poking Lir's foot. His mother came over and Meri held the flowers up. "Mawwwww flowers." She smiled.
"Aw, dear... for me? They are gorgeous. Thank you!" She laughed before undoing her leash and letting her run. "Ugh, always nice to see you, Gracie. You look so much like your momma. Beautiful." She smiled and looked up the screaming Lir. "Teething?" She asked and Nas nodded. His mother nodded and walked into the kitchen. "Gracie you wanna go out and play? Dads in the fields." He smiled before Meri ran and hugged Agis' leg. He looked down and picked her up. "Paw is going to be excited to see you two." He smiled.
"Aw, dear... for me? They are gorgeous. Thank you!" She laughed before undoing her leash and letting her run. "Ugh, always nice to see you, Gracie. You look so much like your momma. Beautiful." She smiled and looked up the screaming Lir. "Teething?" She asked and Nas nodded. His mother nodded and walked into the kitchen. "Gracie you wanna go out and play? Dads in the fields." He smiled before Meri ran and hugged Agis' leg. He looked down and picked her up. "Paw is going to be excited to see you two." He smiled.
Gracie blinked at Meri and shook her head. "Why she's in a hurry I dont know she's just a toddler. She's got her whole life to get places!" She said and then walked along with them, helping Meri pick flowers when they found them and then walking to Nasirs mom's house. She smiled when she saw Agis. "Hi." She said and then looked up at his mom and smiled again. "Really? I think she's the prettiest." She said and then nodded at Agis. "Mhm! Let's go play. They have to fix his gums or whatever. Poor baby." She said and kissed Lir and Meri's heads before running out with Agis.
Agis had placed Meri down and watched her run into the kitchen before running off with Gracie. "So how are you liking home? My dad filled me in on what happened. That was pretty crummy what they did... but I am happy your mom found you. She had looked so sad when Lir came along and I thought all mom's were like that... but my mom said it was because she thought she had lost you." He smiled and when they got to the fields he looked at her. "I am glad you can be apart of the family." He smiled before being smacked down by Titan. "Ugh ya mutt!" He laughed.
Grace looked over at Agis and smiled. "I like it a lot. I never thought id meet my actual mom, but shes exactly like what I thought a mom would be like. Shes so sweet and nice and shes always there if i need something even though she has so many other kids and sooooo many dragons to take care of too. And her husband is really nice too." She said and then blinked when he got mowed down by the dog and giggled. "Its so fluffy! Oh my gosh." She said and gently patted the giant pupper. "Oh i wish we had a dog, dragons are cool and all, but they arent fluffy and they cant sleep at the end of my bed." She said with a little bit of a huff.
Agis sighed and looked at her, "You don't call my brother dad?" He asked and blinked before shrugging and army crawling out from under Titan. "You know, maybe your mom can find you a small furry dragon that can sleep in your bed. I don't know, but that sounds cool. My dad isn't all that fond of dragons, because a mean one got loose and attacked Bel on our property... but then he let my big sister, Ros, have one. But he is nice and very protective." He smiled and patted the dog's head. His dad came over and smiled. "Well well well... finally getting to meet the famous Gracie. It is nice to meet you. I am guessing some of the others are there at the house too?" He asked. Agis smiled and nodded. "Nas is there with grumpy Lir and a hyper Meri." He smiled. Filarion nodded, "sounds good. Where are you two going?" He asked.
Agis looked at Gracie. "I don't know... whereever the wind takes us?" He said and they just stared at each other before sighing. "Okay, but keep her safe, Agis." He said and Agis smiled. "Okay!"
His father smiled and patted the two kids on their head. "You two have fun. Be careful." He said. "Gracie, stop by anytime you want." He said before walking off.

Grace sighed. "I dont know if i should. I mean, i know hes not my real dad, my mom said he wont ever be around and stuff like that. Alois calls him dad, but Avery doesnt and theyre adopted so i just wasnt sure if i should or not." She said and then shrugged. "Maybe she can find one." She said and then looked at the man who came over and smiled up at him. "Its nice to meet you too!" SHe said and then looked at Agis when he asked where they were going and nodded at what he said. "So where do you want to go? Outside of the ranch im not too familiar with things over here yet. " She said, looking around a little bit.
Agis blinked, "Avery is a grumpy cat and an oddball. Meri isn't Ofelia's mom, but she calls her mom anyway... and because she is two and doesn't know the difference." He said. "I say if he takes care of you and is nice and stuff... and all dad like I don't see why you wouldn't. Nas is a good guy... even if I used to be scared of him. He was so tall and he had such a grumpy face before your mom came." He said and looked around. "Well... we have normal animals like cows, chickens, goats, a few horses... if you want to see them. We could adventure into the crops, but you might get lost in them and then I will have to go get my dad because I can't see over them yet." He said and stared at her before squishing her face. "I see Nas do this to your mom a lot." He laughed. "I can see why he does it now."
Grace nodded a little bit. "Avery is always so mad. Hes been sleeping a lot lately though, so i havent seen him mad in a little bit. He just gets up, does his chores and things, and then just goes in his room and ends up going to sleep. I think hes getting tired of people." She said and then blinked. "Lets go see the goats!" She said and then blinked at him when her face got all squished up by Agis. "They do this so much. Its funny how squished her face gets." She said and then pried his hands off and squished his face next. "It is fun!" She gasped and then giggled.
Agis shook his head, "Poor, Avery. My mom said that Nas got them when he was at war. They lost everything. Maybe he isn't over it like Alois is." He said and laughed when she squished his face. "It is! Now come on." He giggled and moved her hands. "We got goats to see." He said and took her hand before running off to where the goats were. He stopped behind a tree and made her shhh before creeping up and then jumping out at them. "RAWR!" He yelled and they all went stiff before falling over. Agis couldn't stop laughing.
Grace nodded. "Yeah my mom told me about that kind of. She said he found them and their parents had died because of the war. But you'd think Alois would be having a harder time. Avery said he hated his parents." She said. "Mom said if he won't stop sleeping all the time she's gonna take him to see the doctor because it's not normal. He's only six." She said. She blinked when he screamed at the goats and then gasped. "Agis! The poor little goats...are they okay..?" She asked.
Agis looked over at her right when they got up and laughed. "Oh yeah..." He said and then got lightly headbutted in the leg by one of them. "Yeah yeah yeah, but you got so stiff, buddy." He chuckled and gently petted him. "This is Agusta, named sorta after me. My dad gave him to me." He smiled up at her. "So you think something is wrong with Avery? I hope he is okay..." He said and got headbutted in his butt. "Hey! Shoo... this is Dorthy. She is a butt." He sighed.
