Iridessa smiled, "Can't wait for you to pee your panties." She giggled and then waited for her to dress to open the door. "Well lets go get large Lenny since I have little Lenny here and you can bring our baby and we can eat because I can eat a house." She smiled and knocked on her door, "Babe... you wanna come eat?" She asked softly.
Keona threw on her bandana as she and Iridessa headed for the door, nodding a bit. "Food sounds good right about now," she said, following her to her and Lenandel's room. When Iridessa knocked, Lenandel opened the door, grinning a bit when he saw them. "My two favourite ladies and my two favourite babies," he chuckled. "Of course I wanna come eat," he said, stepping out and closing the door behind him.
Iridessa smiled and bobbled down the stairs and to the dinning room. They had the plates ready and so she sat and sighed. The stairs were becoming a pain in the ass. She looked at the food and smiled. It looked so good and she began to eat before swaying.
Lenandel followed Iridessa, smirking a bit as he watched how cute she looked. She was already walking so funny, and he couldn't wait to see what it'd be like when she got even closer to having the baby. Keona followed after them, smiling a bit when she saw that the food was already set out for them. She sat down and started to eat without saying anything. Lenandel eyed the girls as he sat down, amused that they were both so quick to start eating, so he started to eat as well.
Iridessa was almost done with her food when she sighed, "Please calm down. Why are you so excited about? Is it the food? I feed you like almost every hour." She said softly and rubbed her tummy before swaying. It had actually started to hurt and she was tempted to tap into its energy a little bit. "Lenny, you wanna carry the baby for a while and bobble about?" She asked softly with a smile.
Lenandel laughed a little as Iridessa talked to the baby, blinking when she asked if he wanted to carry the baby for a while. "I don't think it works like that, baby girl," he said. He scooted his chair backwards a bit and reached over, gently lifting her up out of her chair with ease and moving her into his lap. "I can do this, though," he said, cradling her gently and putting one big hand on her stomach. "Look, little nugget, I think you're making your mommy uncomfortable," he said, looking at her stomach.
Iridessa smiled, "I know." She said softly and blinked when he picked her up. She smiled and leaned back a bit as he talked to their baby. The baby slowly stopped kicking and she sighed with happiness. "Thanks, babe." She said softly and slowly fed him, smiling a bit. "So... me and K are going to see how the houses are doing. I am going to be her bodyguard." She smirked. "If you wanna do something else you can if you want." She said softly.
Lenandel smiled when he felt the kicking against his hand stop, nodding. "That's daddy's good little baby. Hopefully you're this easy to take care of after you're born," he chuckled, letting Iridessa feed him since he couldn't exactly feed himself with her in his lap like this. When she told him what they were doing today and said he could do something else if he wanted, he blinked. "Oh, no, checking on the houses seems fun," he said, and Keona smirked a bit.
Iridessa smiled when he talked to the baby. She absolutely loved it. He was going to be such a great father and she couldn't wait to have this baby. "If that is what you want. K says she is super scared to go alone so you being there will deff make her feel safe." She laughed a bit, joking of course and fed him again.
Keona scoffed when Iridessa said that she was scared to go there alone, folding her arms over her chest. "I'm still a better fighter than anyone in the area, pregnant and all," she said. Lenandel raised an eyebrow. "You're not fighting anyone pregnant, Keona," he said, and she glared at him. "Watch me," she said, sticking out her tongue before going back to her food. Lenandel just shook his head, eating some more of the food Iridessa was feeding him and keeping his big hand on her stomach. He still couldn't believe that his baby was growing in there.
Iridessa smiled, "K is a very independent woman who needs no man. Val is too, but that is why she is dating Sari... and Quinn and Quil need to hang out more. Those two are like... perfect for each other. Quinn enjoys his company lots." She said and looked up at him. She fed him till his plate was empty.
Lenandel laughed a little and nodded. "Keona is definitely an independent woman who doesn't need a man," he said, and Keona blinked. "That doesn't mean I don't want one, though," she protested, pouting a bit. Lenandel nodded when Iridessa said that Quinn and Quilodor needed to hang out more. "I agree. How, then, do you suggest we set them up?" he asked with a slight smirk before continuing to eat.
Iridessa blinked and thought about it. "Well... there is this heard that is coming around the outskirts of the farmlands... a bit away from her home and usually we get her and her father to hunt for us and for themselves. I was thinking I could ask her and him to go and it will be a week long thing." She smiled almost evilly. "They will be alone, together, in the woods. At least a kiss will happen, right? I mean... it is bound to happen." She laughed a bit. "I don't know. I was kidnapped and fell in love with my kidnapper. My ideas are a bit out there." She said and looked up at him. "Ugh who said you can be this handsome? I can't... lemme just... look away." She said but kept looking back at him and smirked. "I can't. He is godly." She smiled.
Lenandel laughed when Iridessa started to legitimately think about ways to get Quinn and Quilodor together. "Alone together in the woods... if a kiss doesn't happen, there's got to be something wrong," he agreed with a chuckle. "Well, then, you should suggest that. Have her go with him for a week and they'll fall in love," he smirked. When she looked away and then looked back, he laughed. "You're too cute," he said, and Keona rolled her eyes. "Get a damn room, you two," she said.
Iridessa nodded, "Okay... I will do it." She said cheerfully before giggling at K. "Sorry sorry." She said and continued feeding Lenny. When he was done she wiggled off of him and grabbed their empty plates and bowls before walking out and into the kitchen. Before leaving she stole some pineapples for K and some fruits for her and Lenny in containers before walking out. "I got us some snacks in case." She smiled at them.
Lenandel smiled when Iridessa confirmed that she was going to set their friends up. He thought that Quinn and Quilodor would make a fine couple. The only catch would be that Quilodor would need permission from the tribe's elders to marry an outsider if they did fall in love - the way Tenestrae had sought permission to marry Lenandel long ago - and that could be troublesome. When she left to take their dishes away, he looked at Keona. "I'm glad you two are getting along, you know," he said softly, reaching over and taking his sister's hand, and she nodded. "Me too. I just hope it stays that way," she sighed. They glanced up when Iridessa came back in with snacks, both laughing a bit and then standing up. "Snacks are good," Lenandel said.
Iridessa nodded, "Snacks are a must." She smiled and walked with them to the cart. Once they were in and off Iridessa looked out of the window. "How are your friends doing? The couple with the kids..." She asked softly. They had been on her mind for a bit and the rest of the people in the slum. It was a constant concern that they weren't getting enough food or having jobs or everything a mayor should concern themselves with.
Lenandel and Keona headed with Iridessa to the cart and they piled in. He put an arm gently around Iridessa, looking down at her when she asked about Jack and Daisy. "They're doing fine," Lenandel said with a nod. "Actually," Keona piped up from her seat, "Daisy's kind of scared that she might be pregnant again. She missed a period but the test she did came back negative. She's kind of freaking out," she said, and Lenandel frowned. "Oh. I hadn't realized that... and they can't really afford another baby, can they?" he asked, and Keona shook her head.
Iridessa had smiled for a bit before K piped up. She didn't want people to worry about stuff like that and she hated it with a passion. "What does Jack and Daisy do for work?" she asked softly. Maybe there was something she could do right now. Iridessa had been fighting with the men in her father's group over money and she was just about to sing them all dead at this point. "On a scale of one to please don't... how bad do you think it is if I just... sing half the men on my daddy's board to a permanent sleep?" She smiled at them.
Lenandel and Keona exchanged a look when Iridessa asked about Jack and Daisy's work. "Well, Jack basically does general labour. He works at a warehouse moving heavy shit around all day. He used to do what we do, but when Daisy got pregnant he stopped because he wanted to be around for the kid," Lenandel explained, and Keona nodded. "And Daisy's a seamstress, but she works out of home so she can stay with the kid, since they can't afford childcare," she said. Both siblings blinked when she asked about singing the men who worked for her father to sleep. "Fucking do it," Keona said, and Lenandel nodded. "It sounds like you've had more than enough hassle with them since we've been here. You're arguing with them and complaining about it a lot. Probably would be much easier to just off them," he said.
Iridessa blinked, "So... I can just hire them? We could use a man like Jack around the place to fix things... it would be a lot more than he is making now and if she is a seamstress I can just go to her for my ever-growing belly and so forth. I will pay her the same for the one I am paying now." She said softly before giggling. "Nice to know you two will have my backs... I would love to do it too, honestly, but with my parents knowing what I can do along with the doctor who would examine them... I have too many people knowing what I can do. I will just put a fire under my father's ass or kick it... both satisfy me for the time being." She said and looked at Lenny. "You know what else makes me happy?" She asked with a smile.
Lenandel nodded when she said she could just hire their friends. "Well, yeah, probably," he said, and Keona leaned in a bit. "Look, Iri, just hiring everyone won't fix the poverty problem. Hiring Jack to do heavy lifting and repairs for you will be a good help to them, and I'm sure Daisy would appreciate having another client, but what about all the rest of the people? The rest of the labourers who don't get hired on because Jack was the one with connections, and the rest of the seamstresses who won't get your business if you're going to Daisy?" she asked. Both siblings nodded their agreement when Iridessa said that people would probably know if she killed the men, and Lenandel blinked when she looked his way and asked what else made her happy. "What's that?" he asked.
Iridessa sighed, "I am working on them, K. I really am. I already put my portion into the Slum Funds and working on them getting better jobs. So what? Should your two friends suffer? Should they just keep on struggling when you have someone who can give them better-paying jobs? Could you honestly look them in the eye knowing this? I know I can't hire all of them and if I could I damn well would. I am doing everything that I can and at least I am trying. I could be like the rest of the girls in my damn wealth class and sit and look pretty like the brat you always think I am." She said. "You have no idea how hard it is to fight against these men. I can't just punch a fucker in the throat, no matter how much I would love to do so. I have hired men who work with Pete that are from here. I have gotten family friends to hire builders from there other than outside of the city." She said and when Lenny asked Iridessa what it was that made her happy she shook her head. "Nevermind." She said softly. She sure in the hell wasn't going to rub on K's belly now.
Keona raised an eyebrow at Iridessa's outburst, sitting back and shaking her head a bit. "Not dealing with that," she said, and Lenandel sighed softly. So much for them getting along. He leaned down and kissed the top of Iridessa's head gently. "I'm really curious about what the hell a wealth class is, so now you have to tell me about that," he told her with a smirk.
Iridessa shook her head and looked out the window. She knew not to take it out on him and she looked over at him, "My people... you now... the people who pretty much own the city. There are people willing to help, but you know... that's not enough." She said. Iridessa wanted out of the damn carriage. She would walk if she had to. "I honestly don't know what else people expect me to do." She said and was happy when the carriage stopped. She got out, no help needed from anyone and was greeted by Quinn she got on her knees and started to cut Iridessa's dress. "I... I need part of your dress." She said, trying not to cry and Iridessa twirled before Quinn stopped and ran. Iridessa followed where she was going and her eyes went wide. She shoved Lenny back in, "Go get the doctor!" She said and slammed the door shut before yelling at the driver to book it. Iridessa threw off her shoes and ran as fast as her pregnant self could do before going over to one of Quinn's friends from the slums.
"What happened?" She asked and Quinn shook her head. "That asshole... wouldn't fucking stop his cart.." She said and Iridessa looked at his wounds before applying pressure. "I sent for the doctor." She said and glared at the guy who was being detained by some other men from the slums. The guy looked to be from her class and she sighed. "We are going to get you some help, okay?" She said softly.
"What happened?" She asked and Quinn shook her head. "That asshole... wouldn't fucking stop his cart.." She said and Iridessa looked at his wounds before applying pressure. "I sent for the doctor." She said and glared at the guy who was being detained by some other men from the slums. The guy looked to be from her class and she sighed. "We are going to get you some help, okay?" She said softly.
