Hideki has never actually been a very flamboyant man. Before GEMINI, he always dressed in reserved, somewhat expensive clothes. He always looked nice, but he never tried to stand out. Elegance has always been important to him. Since he was a very small boy he kept his clothes neat, his hair smooth and shining, his face clean of all make-up. He wore glasses, which combined with the well-groomed appearance and costly clothing gave him the look of a rather arrogant intellectual from wealthy origins. This image, which he still bears when out of make-up, could not be further from what he is as Touma.
As Touma, he cultivates the image of a flamboyant, lavish, remarkably arrogant man, proud of his own appearance and aware that he is not the only one who admires himself. He walks gracefully, dances easily, moves himself through the space in an upright and floating manner that serves to show off a massive ego, at the same time as it blurs the gender lines. He wears heavy, yet delicate make-up and keeps his hair long. Tall, slender, with narrow features and rather large eyes, he already look a great deal like a woman. The visual kei make-up and clothing just accentuates that. Perhaps, to him, the most important part of his costume is his eyes. Every concert, he changes his eyes just a little: heterochromatic (two-colored eyes), purple, blue, green, black, it doesn't matter. They are simply never the same. His favorite fall-back, the contacts he wears when not in concert, for interviews and other things of that sort, are silver. He is most often seen with bright silver eyes.
Personality: Just like his appearance, Hideki/Touma seems to have a different personality for both of his names. One of them, his parents see. The other, his friends and fans see. He knows exactly which of the two is his real personality, the one he is most comfortable with. He acts the way he does around his parents simply because they will not accept him otherwise.
As Hideki, he is quiet and reserved, always polite, respectful, even shy. He is remarkably intelligent, thinking only of his education. He studies hard, does whatever his parents ask him to do. He is obedient. Better, he would never, ever even consider flirting with a woman. He keeps his head around girls, smiles and talks to them but never touches them. Granted, that's not really a problem for him, given his sexuality, but when you compare Hideki to Touma, it is a commendable effort that he must put in to please his mother and father.
As Touma, he is everythig that Hideki is not. He is wild, never smiles but smirks instead. His eyes burn with passion, with lust, with sadism. He moves with grace, straight and tall in an undeniable strut, instead of sort of shy and curled in on himself. He holds nothing back. He speaks when he wants to, dances and sings, flirts unashamedly. He is considered one of the more provocative dances on the public stage, and that comes almost entirely from having to hold himself back as a child. He is self-confident and proud, remarkably demanding. Though he is a strong and loyal friend, and loves to have his fun, he can also be a bit dangerous. If you threaten him, or anyone else, within his earshot, he will not shy from punching you in the gut. HARD. He has started many a fight for GEMINI. Though he never really smiles, and always seems incredibly calm, he does like to have his fun. He is a sincerely valued member of GEMINI, and a leader by nature.

Quirks: Except during concerts and interviews, Touma is almost never seen without a cigarette. He runs his hands through his hair when he thinks. The other members of the band can always tell when he is nervous because he sits just a little bit too still. Normally he is calm and somewhat still, but at least fidgets. When he gets really nervous or embarrassed, he freezes completely, and one thing said can make him burst out in hysterical laughter (even if it really isn't that funny). Most of his fans just think it's a mood he gets into. They don't realize it means he's sort of scared.

History: Onodera Hideki was born into a family where every son that came along became a doctor, a lawyer, or a businessman. Thus, he was born into great wealth and high-expectations, but he was also born into a world without the slightest hint of originality. Perhaps it is strange that he took such a completely different path from the one on which he was raised, but Hideki hated, from the time he realized that he had his own identity, that he was expected to do exactly what his father had done, his older brother had done, his younger brother would do. Even his younger sister was expected to follow in their mother's footsteps, and the whole idea just sat wrong with Hideki.
Subtly at first, and then with growing flamboyance, Hideki began to rebel. He got his ears pierced, began to wear small amounts of make-up, spiked his hair, even went out without permission and got it died. He wore black clothes, leather, chains, jewelry. No matter how his parents punished him for it, everything simply seemed to fuel his fire. Maybe he loved the attention, maybe he enjoyed making them angry, maybe he was masochistic and loved to be punished. He wasn't sure. All he knew was that this new identity that everyone hated gave him an incredible thrill, and the more problems it caused his family, the better.
His wild and rather colorful rebellion earned him friends that sent his parents over the edge, but he loved them all dearly. Loyalty, to him, was synonymous with honor, and if his older brother Takoya had taught him anything, it was that honor was the most important thing in the world. He came to know his friends as brothers, and as his creativity evolved from his own body and became songs and dances, he took his friends along with him. It was in his final year of high-school that the idea of GEMINI finally evolved. That was when he brought it to his friends.
Barely two months after graduation, they had their music, they had their instruments, they had their costumes and make-up, and they had their name.
A year after graduation, they were the bran new phenomenon, GEMINI. Now, GEMINI has been going strong for a year, and Hideki his completely adopted his new name, Touma. He doesn't see his family any more, and he doesn't care. He couldn't be happier.
