"Don't worry, I thought this through"

a character in “Vortex: Game Over”, originally authored by Roadkill923, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Name: Jaxon Van Houten

Nickname if any: Jaxon or Jax

Gender: Male

Age (14-17):15

Weapons (what they carry, guns, daggers, etc.): Staff, and a multitude of books for reference.

Skills (fist-fighting, planning, leading, etc.): Expert in magic. Memorizes most spells upon first reading and is trained in a wide arc of different types of spells. Planning.

Image

Complexion: Fair

Hair color/length: Brown. Medium-short.

Eye color: A cold blue color. Almost grey.

Height/weight: 5'11". 120 lbs.

Usual outfit: He wears just regular T-Shirts and jeans. He's fond of the color white on his shirts, and even has a pair of white skinny jeans. Just one though. So he's usually seen in regular blue jeans and a white T-Shirt that could possibly have a design on it.

History (at least five sentences): Jaxon retreated into gaming at an early age where he immediately took a fondness toward the use of magic in RPG's. He spent so much of his time gaming that he started turning on his parents and all other authority. He constantly dreamed of a world where he could actually summon a fireball out of his hands and send it hurling towards his enemies. His parents never pay much attention to him anyways and could explain his early retreat into video games. There was almost no love in their relationship. Through videogames, he learned the ways the world works, through morality and law. Except in video games there is not much consequence to your actions, and he knows this. The only reason why he likes to play them because no matter what mistake he makes, it can always be undone with a simple push of a button.

Personality (at least five sentences): Jaxon is obsessed with information and loves to apply it. He believes the more he knows, the stronger he is. In some cases in the game, that works out. He likes rational thought and always resorts to it at the first occasion. He thinks everything out, plans ahead, and always has a purpose no matter how twisted it may be. His plans can be extremely complicated to confuse the enemy or just a straight forward path to make it easy for everyone. He's also quite the perfectionist, nothing can be wrong or it's just utter chaos.

Jaxon had been sitting in his room. He was the only one in the house at the moment, but don't think he was doing nothing in his room. He was playing video games of course! It was his favorite thing to do after all. He positioned himself comfortably on his swivel chair as his eyes were glued to the screen and his hands manipulating the controller like an MLG player. Fireball after fireball was being launched from his virtual hands on the screen, but Jaxon had been playing Skyrim for so long he had started to get bored of it. He walked over to his Xbox and turned the system off. He took a moment to admire his room, all the work he put into it. On the opposite side of the room his Xbox was at, sat his computer, one he built. Plugged into the same TV that of the Xbox stood the new Wii U, and just on another shelf of that was his PS3. He of course had his handhelds sitting a desk in the corner of the room, but he also admired his decor. There were posters everywhere! Ranging from ones of bright and colorful Nintendo characters to dark and gritty posters of Batman and Corvo. Posters weren't the only things he seemed to collect. On one side of the wall there stood a shelf of objects. A lot of objects. There was a full replica of Link that stood at 11 inches tall, and even a prop hidden blade from the Assassin's Creed franchise.

Jaxon broke his trance and walked over to a set of drawers. He pulled one open to reveal a library of games, and this was just one drawer! He flipped through the game cases as if they were files at a school office. He stopped at a certain game, one he hadn't played yet. It came out a few days ago, but he never got around to trying it out. "Hmmmm, Vortex. Well it's now or never", he said to himself. He had heard a few things about this game, but he tried to stay as spoiler free as possible. He didn't like games being ruined for him. Apparently it was like Skyrim, but not like Skyrim. It had a massive fantasy world with crazy monsters that could be from Monster Hunter or Xenoblade Chronicles. He was quite eager to try it out as he set the game disk on the reader and closed it up. He walked right over to his chair and grabbed his controller. Right before he could sit down, a crazy light came from his monitor. The light filled the room with such an awesome radiance that Jaxon could barely keep his eyes open. He took one blink and just like that the light had stopped, but he wasn't in his room. Instead he was at the market of a crowded fantasy world. Men and women walked by wearing medieval style clothing, and there were some people walking around with exposed weapons. They were carrying axes and swords and bows, and everything in between! Jaxon looked down at himself to see that he too had changed clothing. Instead of a white T-Shirt and boxers like before, he was now wearing robes of some kind. They were white with a lot of design on them, the design was a darker shade of grey. He started to panic a bit in his head, but calmed himself down before showing it. Maybe this was a new feature in games he never heard about? Virtual reality? Was it possible already?

Jaxon accommodated himself to his new white robes and to his "new" body. He took his first step onto the dirt road that covered the market grounds. It felt just like a real step. After this he realized that this could possibly be the best thing that happened to him. Jaxon Van Houten was living in virtual reality! It's always been his dream to do so, but he also wanted to try out everything this world had to offer. His first thoughts were on the use of magic. He spotted an aged man wearing similar robes as he, except they were blue. Jaxon raced through the crowd, weaving between people and the stone buildings. As he caught up with the man, he could see he was carrying a gnarled wooden staff.

"Excuse me, sir? Do you know anything about magic?", Jaxon eyed the man and his staff, "And where can I get one of those?".

"Ah, another fledgling in the magical arts I see. We don't get many of those. Well let me tell you this. Magic is a powerful tool, and not to be played with. It requires a lot of studying and intense training. I will lend you a few of my books, but I trust you use them wisely", the old man bent down to talk to the curious boy, squinting as he spoke. "I see some great power in you, power I haven't seen in a long time. This staff is old. I mainly use it to go out on walks, but it seems today will be it's last walk with me. I'm giving it to you".

Jaxon couldn't believe it! The kindness of this man. To give him a few spell books and his staff! "Wow! Thanks mister! I promise I'll take good care of this stuff. You can count on me", Jaxon said with a stern and honest look in eyes.

"Good. Good. Now don't forget to study!", the old man said as he hobbled off and around the corner. Jaxon studied the staff he was given once more. He could feel the wood in his hands. He saw every twist and turn in the gnarled piece of material that once belonged to a great oak tree.. The top of the staff curved itself and formed a bit of a wooden orb. He was given two books, both written in English thankfully. He sat down, leaning against the side of a building, set his staff next to him, opened one of the books, and began reading.

"-elicia! Felicia! It's time for you to study! Get up!"

The blonde haired girl that was currently snuggles up in her blankets, her pillow covering her face, stirred slightly. The light from outside cascaded into her window, shining down on the girl as she yawned and pushed herself up out of her nest of blankets. Felicia rubbed the sleep out of her eyes as she glanced down at her side table. It was only 2:00 Pm......Oh shoot! Felicia quickly swung her legs over the side of her bed and stood up, quickly moving to her wardrobe. Her mother had let her over sleep AGAIN as punishment. She was going to be late to her study session with her private tutor that they had made her get. He was going to flip out on her as usual! She quickly reached into her closet and pulled out a pair of jean shorts and a tank top along with her purple off-the-shoulder shirt. She swore that when she got downstairs she was going to kill her mom. Though, she knew for a fact she could never talk back or go against her parents. Inwardly rolling her eyes, she pulled her shorts on along with her shirts, and threw on her white flip-flops.

Felicia heard her mother yelling at her to go downstairs again, to her annoyance. But her eyes floated over to her walk in closet. Of course she had her wardrobe that held all her clothes but...in there is where she hid her TV along with a huge different assortment of video games. Her fingers ached to just hold her controller and play as her favorite hero Link. The Legend of Zelda was by far her favorite games. Ocarina of Time was a game she could probably beat with her eyes closed. Though she didn't just play that, she was a huge fan of RPG games, letting her be someone else for as long as she wished. It helped her escape reality. World Of Warcraft was another favorite of hers, being a Level 89 Dark Elf. The reason she had to hide them would be because her mother disapproved and was totally against video games, and her father wouldn't hesitate to dispose of all of them.

Hmm...Maybe she could...

A few minutes later she was walking down the stairs to stand in the kitchen where her mother was currently making breakfast. Except she had her blanket wrapped around herself, her hair a mess (due to the fact she purposely did this), rubbing her nose to make it appear red, and sniffled as loud as she could, getting her mothers attention. "Mom, i'm not feeling well...can I skip today's lesson?" She asked, making her voice sound as groggy as she could. Her mother had a look of some-what disgust as she glanced over her daughters appearance. "....You look like a mess, go upstairs and stay in bed, I don't want my guests seeing you in such a state." Felicia dismissed the tone of voice her mother was using and quickly nodded, retreating back up to her room. Once she got back into her room she smiled and threw her blanket off, going straight into her closet. She shut the door behind her and flipped on the light switch.

"Ah, Mister Sammy, I have returned!~" She said, saluting her beloved Xbox. Beside it was various other game systems. Though she loved to kick it old school, having a Sega, Game cube, Nintendo 64, ect. Her favorite old games she loved was the original Mario, Mario cart, Sonic, and of course the old arcade games like Centipede, Snake, and Bomber man. She plopped down into her cushy pink bean bag chair and reached out, hitting the on button on her TV, and turning her Xbox on. As she waited for the Xbox to warm up and load, she looked over at her stack of Games. Hmm, maybe today she could kick it with Navi, or maybe even get a little gory with Borderlands? That chainsaw gun she just acquired was calling her name. But..she was curious about a new game she had new ownership of that she had gotten as a gift from a close friend of hers.

"Vortex......? Huh, sounds coolio! I wonder if it has any awesome weapons to mess with! Ooo, or maybe some powerful spells!~"

She picked up the games and studied the back of it, reading the introduction about it and smiled. She LOVED medieval styled games! She happily took the game out of the case and leaned over, hitting the eject button and gently placed the game in. She leaned back up and picked up her controller, ready to play. Well...that was until her room was suddenly engulfed by light, she quickly reached up and covered her eyes at the intensity. She yelped as she fell on her butt on what felt like gravel. Wait...gravel? Since when did she have gravel in her room!? She uncovered her eyes and gasped as she looked around. No way...a village? Wait no...a city back in...holy crap! She quickly scrambled up onto her feet and dusted herself off, but stopped when she didn't feel her normal clothes under her fingers. A wardrobe change? She was now adorned in some kind of short blue and black dress. The top of is was like a tight corset, with golden string, holding the top together.

This was.....so cool! To think they already had virtual reality! She could possibly die happy now. Now, what did she usually do to start off these kind of games....oh! A weapon! She peeked around the corner of the building she landed next to and looked around, her blue eyes being careful to not miss anything. Maybe there was a place she could get some daggers, or a bow and some arrows. Her gaze stopped on an old man and some young guy speaking. Did...did that guy just give away his staff? Her eyes widened slightly as she watched the man walk away after also giving the man some books. How the heck did he just get that guy to give that stuff away? She thought for a moment before building up the courage to go up the the guy. He must be another player so maybe he'll be friendly? Hopefully...

"Uh...excuse me sir! I'm sorry to bother you, but how'd you get that older guy to just give you that stuff?" She had to ask questions if she wished to succeed in this game. The first step being, getting a weapon, then gaining more knowledge about the game.

Great, another Saturday with no friends and nothing to do. Nick rolled out of bed and stood up hunched over. He slowly wandered around his room finding slippers and then walked out of his room, down the stairs, and into the kitchen. He walked over to the fridge and got out O.J. He then took his glass and went back upstairs. He walked into the T.V. room and over to his reclining gaming chair. He puts his glass in the drink compartment and then goes over to his game shelf. Nick looks at all of his games, "COD, Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, ahhhh Vortex." He says looking down at the new game he got with money he saved up. He puts it into the game console and relaxes in his chair.

He watches the game turn on until he has to close his eyes. "Ahhh crap! Who designed this game? Why would they make it so bright!?" He opens his eyes again not seeing the red through his eyelids and looks around to see a village. Wtf? Did I just time travel?! Nick stands up excited and amazed at what he saw. He looked down and saw he had changed clothes. He was holding a machine gun too, it didn't seem to fit into the scene very well but he thought nothing of it. He was too happy with his awesome new game to care. Looking over he saw a pretty girl talking to a boy in robes reading some book and holding a staff. He decided to walk over and greet them. "Hello! Are you guys players to? This game is so cool!"

'Pick it up.'

A voice whispered to Guinevere. Shocked, she looked around but only saw what was expected to be seen at a video game store: shoppers buying games. Chuckling and shaking her head, she went back to browsing games. Why was Guinevere shopping when she knew she had to watch her younger siblings? Well, the brunette had ben sitting on a couch bored out of her mind, when she saw an ad about video games. She actually hadn't played any video games in while, having most of her time preoccupied with watching her siblings. Finding nothing wrong with pampering herself for a chance, Gwen thought hey, what could happen? A lot actually, but she didn't want to get into that. So with a grin on her face, she told her younger siblings that she would be right back and to not open the door for strangers. I knew I was crazy, but good Lord, not crazy enough to hear voices! Am I going insane?' She thought as she made a sour face. The brown-eyed girl was about to pick up a case and read it when 'it' happened it again.

'Pick it up.'

That God damned voice again, why was it bothering her? Was God punishing her for buying chocolate bars instead of picking up eggs and milk last week? She didn't mean to do it, the chocolates just looked so good! The sweet bars were taunting her, she swore of it. Or was she just going crazy? An insane asylum was somewhere she did not want to visit. Coming back to reality, she looked in front of her and saw an eye catching case. Picking the game up, she read the title. "Vortex..." Guinevere mumbled. It looked like something interesting that would keep her entertained for a while, but she was having second thoughts.

'Pick it up.' the voice said louder.

It was official, the poor girl was insane. Being dramatic, Gwen figured it was best to buy the game before she went to an asylum.

'Good grief! Lady, down here! Pick it up!' Puzzled, Guinevere looked down and saw a midget half her size looking very irritated. "Lady you dropped a game, I was trying to tell you to pick it up but you were dazed!"

".....Oh." She said awkwardly.
---------------------------

After that strange predicament with the midget, Gwen was glad to be home. Away from voices that made her feel nervous and closer to a comfortable chair and chocolate. Inserting the game disc into her console, she plopped down into her chair, grabbed her controller, and nibbled on a chocolate bar. As soon as the game turned on, a blinding light filled the once occupied room. Guinevere opened her eyes and saw a village with lush green grass and tree, things she was most not used to seeing. The brunette looked down and saw she had a sudden change of clothes. Everything around her looked medieval but her. She wore white frilly blouse with a black blazer over it, a black cowgirl type of hat, a black, frilly, knee-length skirt, white gloves, and black boots. Did I mention she also has a belt with several types of guns attached to it? Guinevere's overall appearance was different, it did not look like a cowgirl, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. "Wait....what the hell?" she cried loudly. Where did go? How'd she get here? Yes, she was most definitely insane. As she looked around, she saw other people standing a few feet away who looked as confused as she. Guinevere needed answers, and she needed them now.

All of Jaxon's concentration was focused on the book he had open in his hands. The outer cover of the book was red with a few questionable runes on it. The pages on the inside were very old and had to be dealt with delicately. Jaxon usually remembers most of what he read the the first time through a book, but in this one he found himself going over certain words over and over again. Apparently magic in this game is evoked by saying commands out loud, at least for beginners. The problem was that most of those words were almost impossible to pronounce let alone read. The book wasn't all text though. Throughout the pages Jaxon could see very well drawn illustrations of what a spell would do or a stance that had to be taken. This book was easily a beginner's guide to magic based on the word choice and how weak some of the spells included were. Jaxon still couldn't wait to try them out though, but he figured he might need to do it outside of the city walls. Don't want to cause any trouble so early into the game.

He read each and every word so intently that he hardly noticed when someone had approached him. His eyes were staring at the pages for so long that when he looked up, the sun glare blinded him from everything. Jaxon grabbed his staff tightly thinking it may be a thief or someone who wants to fight. As his eyes adjusted to the increased brightness he first saw the silhouette of the figure, It was easily a girl that was talking to him, probably his age too. Must be another player. She didn't seem to want any trouble, so he loosened his grip on the staff.

"Uh...excuse me sir! I'm sorry to bother you, but how'd you get that older guy to just give you that stuff?"

At first he stared blankly at the girl, still a bit stunned. Once he realized how stupid he must look, he closed his book, and stood up to face her. They never really did get face to face as he was taller then her. Remembering the question, Jaxon looked at the staff in his hand and the books that were on the ground behind him. He then looked towards the direction the man had walked off to. He wasn't there, just more market. "This stuff? Well he just gave it to me. I asked him where I could get it, but he just let me have his. I was shocked at the generosity, but what are you going to do when an old guy gives you free stuff, right?", Jaxon spoke in a manner he thought was a bit out of place in this medieval backdrop. Were they supposed to talk more formally, or just use regular slander?

As his eyes finally fully adjusted, he could finally see the full details of the girl he was talking to. She was definitely around his age, but again, much shorter. She had beach blonde hair that seemed almost as white as the robes Jaxon was wearing. Her make up and her hair-style definitely gave off that "scene" look a lot of people seem to like these days. Her outfit was not out of place at all. She also must be new, she had nothing on her. No weapons or anything unlike everyone else who were walking by. Just then another man had approached to the two.

"Hello! Are you guys players to? This game is so cool!"

Jaxon automatically thought this guy was obnoxious. Maybe it was because how "new" he sounded, although everyone here had to be new in the game in some way. Or maybe it was because he used the word "player" that ruined how immersive the experience was right now. "Yeah... we're players. I didn't expect this when I put the game in though. I'm still in a bit of a state of shock.", Jaxon said sounding kind of bored. He got into a state of shock again once he saw what the man was carrying. It was an easily recognizable machine gun. Guns?! Here?! Maybe this was one of those fantasy games that had such features. Like Final Fantasy or something. Jaxon bent down and picked up his two books and opened the red one once again. He didn't want to seem rude, but the whole concept of learning magic excited him to an astonishing degree. He would glance up a few times to let the other people know that he was still listening.

Nick looked over to the girl. "Hey! What's your name? I'm Nick. Should we be asking some of the game characters for quest or something?" He heard a loud splash from behind him and looked over to see a boy falling in a fountain just in time. Nick thought he must be new also. He chuckles a bit and then turned back to the girl.

Felicia grinned and examined the staff he held. "Neat-o! I wonder if they have any daggers around here..." She thought aloud, putting a finger to her lip in thought. Right now she was amped up and couldn't wait to figure out more about the game. She looked up at him and waved slightly. "Well anyways i'm Felicia! But just call me bubbles! Even this place seems very...medieval...ee." She said, trying to find the right words to describe it. Ah, whatever! She looked around in wonder, her blue eyes widening as she spotted horses. "They even have animals..." She muttered to herself in excitement. She was about to run over there but stopped when she heard another guy approach them that was probably a new player too.

"Hello! Are you guys players to? This game is so cool!"

She blinked and looked up at him for a moment in silence before smiling up at him brightly. "Yes! I can't believe they already have a Virtual Reality video game!" She bounced slightly on the heels of her black flats. She glanced at the other guys staff again before huffing. "I just need to think of a way to get my hand on a blade of some sort..." She was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a splash. Ooo, poor guy! She giggled. This game kind of reminded her of another favorite game of hers 'Oblivion'. It had such a great story line! Maybe there was something like the 'Dark Brotherhood' here too!

"Hey! What's your name? I'm Nick. Should we be asking some of the game characters for quests or something?"

She looked back at him and saluted him. "Miss Bubbles at your service! But uhm, I mean my actual name is Felicia." She laughed and looked around. In most games there would be an...exclamation point or...something above their heads to indicate a quest. But this all seemed too real to have something as silly as that. She got an idea as she said a quick "Be right back" as she went over to the horse stalls she had spotted earlier.

Jaxon had glanced up from his book more times than he had liked with so much social interaction around him. Along with the clumsiness of other players still getting accustomed to their own bodies. A kid had fallen into the fountain as soon as he spawned into the world.

"Well anyways i'm Felicia! But just call me bubbles!"

Bubbles?! Seriously? Well it did match her personality. "I'm Jaxon, gamer enthusiast at your service!", he said pointing to himself to even further personify his awesome presence. The bubble girl seemed to be looking for weapons. Jaxon realized his only line of defense was a wooden stick, or so he thought. After a few minutes of further reading, Jaxon knows he's finally got a few effective spells down. He was ready to try them out, but he would have to leave the city to do that. Maybe find some enemies to try them out on. Another girl had joined into the group conversation just as "Bubbles" had left, but as soon as the new girl joined, she left to go help out the boy in the fountain.

"Soooo Nick, was it? I'm going to try out these spells I just read. Wanna come with me?", Jaxon then remembered that Felicia, or Bubbles, had gone to the stables. "We can get that other girl to join us. Plus a horse would be a good ride out of the city", he suggested without factoring in that they would probably have to purchase a horse. They might not have to considering a virtual reality game had to have some easy form of travel. Jaxon motioned Nick to follow him towards the stables.

The outside of the stables smelt just like you would expect, awful. Inside, there were plenty of horses though. "Hey, Felicia! You in here? We're planning on leaving the city by horse. Wanna come?".

As soon as she entered the stable she called out to see if anyone was in there. She had seen stable like this before in Oblivion! It was such a wonderful game. She smiled to herself but was snapped out of her thoughts as she heard what sounded like a horse in pain. "Oh no! Mister steed i'll save you!" Maybe it was high-jackers! Or street thefts! She peeked around the corner carefully but what she saw wasn't what she expected.

A few moments later Felicia was thanking the owner of the stables, bowing and everything. That was so cool! You don't exactly see that everyday either...

Felicia heard her name being called and popped out in front of them grinning like she had just won the lottery. "You guys will never guess what I just got!~" She said happily, bouncing slightly with her hands behind her back. She gently brought her arms around revealing a baby horse. "I got to see it when it was first born! Isn't she adorable?" She asked them, hugging the wrapped up horse with care. "It was the smallest and weakest baby so I took her! I think this is part of the quest because the lady gave me three horses too! See look!" She said as she stepped aside, revealing a black horse, a white horse, and a brown horse. "I only named the white one Creme~! And then I named the baby horse Mercy!" Felicia patted Creme on his mane, the horse giving a satisfied huff of affection. Sometimes she even questioned herself as to how to excelled in these games so fast.

She leaned down and placed the baby horse into the basket comfortably, that the stall owner gave her. She then turned back to her horse, fastening the basket onto the the front part of the saddle. She then turned back to face to two guys. "Alrighty! Leaving the city like awesome medieval 007 agents is a go!" She flashed them a smile before quickly adding in. "Also I may need some help getting up onto the saddle, ahaha......"

"I call the black horse!" Nick said happy to have a ride out of town. He looked at Bubbles and laughed at her comment. "I'll help you up." He walked over to Bubbles and gave her a leg-up. (OOC: for all of you non-horse riders out there that is when you just take the person's leg that wants to get onto the saddle and pushes it up so the person can get on) Nick then hopped up onto his horse and giggled. "Onward you mighty stead! I shall call you Fred!" He raised his odd machine gun it the air and shot up like at the start of a race, he held onto the reins while holding onto the horn of the saddle and kicked the horses stomach to tell it to go. It starts walking slowly so Nick kicked harder and then it start galloping toward the boundaries of the town.

"Okay, thank you Dr. Davidson." Peyton sighed loudly hoping her mother would hear her upset. She walked out of her therapists office and sat down in the car. Her mother got in after her and looked at her guiltily. "I know you don't want to go to therapy P, but it is something you need. I just don't think you socialize enough with other people. You can't just live your whole life locked in you room with boy 3 playing video games." Peyton sighed even louder and then moved to the back seat so she wouldn't sit next to her mom. She knew that her mom was just trying to help but there was nothing wrong with her. When they got home Peyton ran over to her next door neighbors house.

She quickly opened the front door and ran upstairs to boy 3's room. She practically lived there already so it didn't matter if she did that. Apparently no one was home so she just lay down on the bed waiting for boy 3 to come home. As she looked up she saw a new game on the video game shelf. Excited she stood up and read the entire back cover three times. OMG THIS LOOK SO COOL! Not wanting to wait anymore and needing serious game time after the stupid therapy session she popped the disc into the game console and sat down on boy 3's bed with the controller. She saw a bright light and her eyes started tearing being sensitive to light. She wiped her eyes and when she removed her hands from her face she couldn't believe her eyes.

Wait, What just happened? Peyton now very confused and tired stood up from the edge of a fountain she somehow got to sitting on and looked at the new world around her. Where am I? Wow this game is so awesome! Maybe I should have waited for boy 3. Oh well, I left it on in his room so if he comes home he will see it and come play with me! Peyton looked at her new clothes. Thanking whoever was out there that she wasn't wearing a frilly dress she jumped up and down. She walked over to the other side of the fountain where she saw a boy and a girl. The boy looked a little wet. Laughing Peyton watched them as the girl helped him up and stared at him for a minute. Oooooo she likes him... Peyton thought. She quietly walked away not wanting to socialize with anyone, maybe her mom was right about the whole therapy thing. Oh who cares i'm mad at her and I am staying that way. Oh, I wish my sister was playing with me! She'd love it here.

Peyton started walking towards the smell of horses. Most people hate that smell but she had been riding ever since she was five and the smell of horses reminded her of when she was little. She loves that smell now. Wanting to see all of the cute horses she followed her nose and reached the stables. Two more peole were there. A boy and a girl. THe girl was holding a little baby horse. "Awww, it is so cute!" Peyton slipped and said something out loud. With no time to hide she just ran into the stables and into one of the stalls so she could pet one of the horses.

Sadly the stall she went into was occupied by a man, not a horse. He looked at her like he was expecting her. Creepy person! Why did I have to choose this stall!? He looked to her and smiled. "Hello young lady! Fancy taking a horse with you to ride out of town?" "Oh, umm, sure. Thanks!" Astonished he would just give her a horse she followed him to a horses stall and saw a beautiful Paint horse. It was black and white so it looked just like a cow! Peyton smiled at the familiar sight of the horse. She felt like she knew this horse from somewhere. She took the horses reins and brought it outside the stall after saying thank you again to the man. She jumped on herself remembering how she used to do it as a kid and started it slowly walking to the outside of the stables where to two people were again.
