Urban Fantasy of sorts.

The small, anthropomorphic reindeer walked down the streets of Tokyo on his own one summer day. The expression on his face was a bored frown. Being alone in this strange city, there wasn't much to do. He walked on two legs and appeared to be a toddler-sized, anthropomorphic reindeer, being only 3'4" in terms of height. The reindeer had a brace at the base of his left antler due to an injury, but his bored expression showed that it wasn't bothering him. His attire consisted of maroon shorts, a blue backpack, and a fuzzy pink hat with antlers sticking out of the sides. His chest was bare, showing off his brown fur, but what stood out to most people and what was likely to get peoples' attention was his blue nose. The only thing keeping most people from freaking out about his existence was their skepticism. Most people ignored him and assumed he was a child in a costume.

As he continued his way, he noticed some commotion up ahead. As he got closer, he noticed a girl with long pink hair with a guitar, singing a song in Japanese. She must of been some type of street performer. After she finished her song, she propped down next to her guitar case and looked inside it. "Haaaahhh, 10 dollars! I'll never make it at this rate!" She said in a whinny whisper to herself.

The young reindeer-like boy just stared at the street performer with a warm smile on his face. She seemed pretty good at playing her instrument, which caused the young boy to clap his hooves together excitedly once she finished her song. "Awesome! You're amazing!" His high-pitched voice squealed out with praise. He stopped clapping his hooves and took out his wallet, tossing about 5,000 yen into her hands (the equivalent of 50 US dollars). "Here!" His smile was warm and friendly as his large, brown, baby-like eyes glimmered with eager joy; happy to finally meet an interesting person to befriend.

The girl suddenly looked up at the young reindeer-ish boy, slightly puzzled. She looked him over for a few moments, trying to get an idea of what in the world he could possibly be. But right when his adoring voice hit her ears, she put her hands on her reddish cheeks and let out what sounded like a small "Kya!" After that, she leaned forward to the young reindeer-ish boy while she was still on her knees. "You're so cute, can I hug you?!" She didn't even wait for an answer as she practically glomped the small creature.

Upon being noticed by the girl, the young boy's eyes widened at her words. He was cute to her? The mere thought of such words made him jump back in shock, unintentionally making the girl fall to the ground rather than successfully giving the deer a big hug. His cheeks were now bright red as his large, brown, baby-like eyes sparkled happily. With his smile wider than before, the deer's body swayed back and forth, as though listening to bouncy music. "Calling me cute won't make me happy, you asshole~!" He sang aloud in an overjoyed tone of voice; clearly happy despite his words. As he danced happily and blushed, it became clear that compliments really meant the world to him.

The girl sat up and rubbed her head. "Ugh... that's going to leave a mark." She glanced over at the now over-joyed reindeer. She giggled a little as she found this quite humorous. She stood up and brushed herself off. "Won't make you happy, eh? You look just absolutely devastated." she said under her breath in a sarcastic tone as she gathered her things. "Well... it was nice meeting you, sir." She placed her red electric guitar back into its carrier and swung it around her shoulder. She gave him a small salute with her pointer and middle finger and smiled.

Chopper's smile widened slightly, though he slowly stopped dancing around in such a silly manner in order to look down at her. "Eh? Are you alright?" He asked the girl, realizing that she fell onto the ground for some reason. Without even understanding that she tried to hug him, he frowned and assumed she fell due to an accident. "Huh? You're leaving me?" He asked the kindhearted girl before suddenly jumping in front of her, smiling wide as he held his small hoof out toward her. "Wait! I'm tired of being alone! My name's Tony Tony Chopper." He said the last part as if introducing himself, his voice warm and friendly. "Do you want to be friends with me?"

Yui looked down at the small creature in slight shock once again. "E-Eh..? Oh! E-Ettoo..." She thought for a moment about this, seeing that they've only known each other for a few minutes. But the girl shrugged a little and smiled back. "Alright, sure, why not?" She shook his small hoof firmly. "My name is Yui!" She said as she swung her jet black demon tail around slowly like a dog would when it's excited.

Chopper realized the shock she was in and started to frown just a bit. Was she nervous around him. He didn't want her to feel forced to keep him company. Maybe there was something else the girl had to do. After she shrugged and smiled at him though, he realized she had no qualms against befriending him; causing the young deer-like boy to smile. As he noticed the tail on her back, his eyes widened not out of shock or fear, but out of amazement. "Whoa! You have some kind of beastly tail!" He shouted before praising the tail with a big smile. "Awesome! "

Some people turned around as he shouted. Yui only smiled nervously to them as they turned away. She turned her attention once again to Chopper. "Hehehe, thank you. I try to keep it hidden most of the time since... well, you don't see many creatures in this part of the town much anymore, you know?" She walked passed Chopper and started down the road, but after a few steps, she turned on her heal and looked back at Chopper. "Hey, lets walk and talk, it's a nice day out so I want to spend it around town." She smiled warmly.

Annie was sitting in a cafe of busy downtown Tokyo moping through another lecture about being careful from Fenix. "Oh come on Fenix it's not like I hurt anyone I was just having some fun. Don't you know what fun is?" She moaned into the table before sitting back and ordering a bowl of hot soup.

Fenix continued on with his lecture. "You know your not supposed to cause excessive damage on your missions Annie the Council's already warned you twice. Any more and their sure to kick you out or worse." He frowned at Annie as she played with her soup doing her best to ignore Fenix.

"You worry to much Fenix. I didn't cause excessive the thing was hiding in that statue so I just melted it to get rid of it. I was saving time. Work is boring, we're in Tokyo, Japan I want to have some fun!" She picked up the bowl of soup holing it between her hands and watched as it began to boil. "There now it's nice and warm, hate how cold they all serve soup." She set the bowl down and picked up the chop-sticks they'd brought to her and attempted to eat her soup not being able to work the infuriating little sticks. Before long the sticks were launched into the air charred to a nice crisp as they flew. "Stupid things can't even pick food." She pulled a fork out of her dimensional storage. "Good thing I'm always prepared." She laughed and she dug into the still boiling soup slurping loudly completely forgetting Fenix as he sat across from her mouth open in disbelief.

Chopper frowned at Yui's words in less of a saddened way and more of a disappointed one; like he'd just heard a joke that wasn't funny. "Yeah. There aren't many creatures here. Everyone is pretty boring." He pointed out in a matter-of-fact tone of voice as they walked down the sidewalk. This girl seemed like enough fun to hang out with since she was so kindhearted but still, she was about to go on her way after meeting him. It wasn't that he was upset, but perhaps he could find another friend. One who was more interested in hanging out with him rather than their own goals.

After walking for a few minutes, he reached a small cafe in the middle of Tokyo, feeling as though it was as good a place as any to get food. Without even waiting for Yui, the boy grinned widely and walked inside; feeling overjoyed at the thought of food. The anthropomorphic deer walked past Annie and toward the cashier, though there was a line to stand in, giving Yui some time to catch up to him. "Hm... what should I get...?" He asked himself as if talking to a friend rather than trying to decide on his own.

Yui walked into the cafe a few minutes latter with a slight frown on her face. She walked up behind Chopper and sighed silently to herself. "You know, you could tell me where you're going instead of just disappearing while I continue walking..." She pushed a few strands of hair back behind her ear as she looked up at the dim lighted menu above the counter. "... Would you like me to treat you?" She pulled out her hard earn performance money. "It seems cheep enough so I have no problem with it." She smiled. "Go ahead, pick something you want."
