||History||
Carmen was the first born to her estranged parents. Her father the Vice President of one of the most feared motorcycle gangs on the West Coast. While her mother was a waitress at a bar where they met. Her father Jaxon "Jax", despite how Carmen was coming into the world was excited for his daughter. They were happy for a while and her father was an incredible dad, Carmen grew up in and out of motorcycle bars, with some of the roughest men around, in turn making her one tough bitch.

Her and her sister grew up fairly close to each other, there parents however kind of had an open relationships. They hated each other, but couldn't stay away from each other, they tended to see other people. Which ended in Carmen having two half siblings. When Carmen was fifteen she moved with her father, being close to him and her half brother. While her two younger sisters stayed with her mother, she could never quite get along with her mother, but that was because she was more like her father and her mother couldn't stand that.

That was when she started going by Marie and she started getting into trouble. She took a particular interest in cars. She learned how they worked from the inside out and started lifting them and selling them for profit. She started partying and getting into drugs, her father kept a close eye on her though, keeping the cops off her back without her knowing.

By the time she was seventeen she was involved in street racing and more times then not she was the one finishing first. She was incredibly talented when it came to driving fast cars. Then she meet R1 the two of them started dating exclusively, he was into criminal activity and she was his driver, making sure he got away safe, which made them a dangerous team.

When he got caught and spent time in prison, it killed her to be without him. However, she was no stranger to it, she visited him often, she was use to visiting her father there. When he got out though, they tried their best to stay out of trouble, but once your in you never truly get out.

So begins...

Marie sat across the street outside the building that Elias and Kai were currently inside. She was as calm, her heart rate was normal, and there wasn’t a single bead of sweat on her perfectly powdered face. She honestly looked flawless liked she’d stepped out of a page in Vogue magazine. Everything from her expensive, black Jimmy Choo pumps, Elias had bought for her, to her impeccably placed red lipstick. She didn’t look like she belonged in a gang and that was why no one ever expected her. As polished and collected as she looked in the moment, she could quickly turn into a dangerously talented driver when and if needed, in seconds.

Her legs were propped on the door, hanging out the open window of her royal blue 1966 Impala. Anyone who knew Marie knew that the car was her baby, she treated it like it was her kid. Most people teased her that she loved the car more than Elias. Her glittering black heel moved softly to the beat of the song the vibrated through her speakers as she lifted her cigarette to her lips taking a long drag, leaving a red ring from her lipstick on the white paper of the cigarette.

She was relaxed, but alert. She’d done this countless times. She was never the one committing the crimes, but she was still an accessory in every single crime. Any other girl would more than likely be terrified of the life Her boyfriend’s gang led, Mimi however had little to no fear at all. The only real fear that killed her to think about was that if Elias got caught again, he’d be looking at a life sentence in prison and she’d dies alone. It wasn’t just Elias it was Kai who was like a brother to her, Graham and Sherry she was close with. As far as she was concerned the only one who deserved to get thrown to the dogs was Lip, for what he’d done to Elias, not that she’d ever say that out loud.

Marie’s phone rang and she sighed as she answered it. “Carmen, sweetheart.” Her mother’s voice cooed sweetly on the other end of the phone, making Marie physically cringe, she hated her mother.

“Mom, I told you not to call me that and not to call this fucking number ever.” She spat harshly. Her and her mother had never gotten along, mostly because she was a lot like her father and her mother hated her father and had openly stated how jealous she was of her own daughter, of Marie on several occasions.

“Carmen.” Her mother repeated making Marie’s “I need money, your sister’s and I…well if I don’t make rent this month they’ll kick us out.” Mimi rolled her eyes. Her mother only ever called for money. “I know that piece of shit boyfriend of yours has money.” Her words only pissed Marie off.

“You want to talk about pieces of shit, look in the mirror mom. You can’t even pay your God damn rent.” She hissed into the phone. She pulled her feet into the car sitting straight up them. “The difference between you and Eli is that he actually gives a shit about me. I’ll get you that money mom, but not for you. For Amara and Mercedes.” She said before hanging up the phone without another word tossing it into the passenger seat frustrated.

She was always torn, a part of her knew that her mom didn’t really need rent money and she was more than likely using it for drugs, but her mom was always throwing her sisters in her face and it killed Mimi, because she loved her family. She let out a frustrated grown resting her forehead against the steering wheel desperately hoping that they were almost finished, because all she wanted to do was go home, throw a couple drinks back, and spend the rest of the night with Elias.

"We're supposed to get in and get out. No cops, no shooting...let's keep this clean people."

Phillip remembered saying these words less than an hour ago when he was still riding in the back of Marie's Impala. He made a point to emphasize the clean aspect of the mission as he knew that Elias feared being caught just as much as he did. Naturally Kai ruined things by getting too mouthy, but at least he hadn't shot anyone (unlike his brother all those months ago). Even now, he was being cocky and shouting like some power-hungry villain. It wasn't enough that all of the hostages were tied down, but Kai needed them, ab-so-lute-ly needed them to beg for mercy. They needed to pour their life stories out to the sociopath while he gleefully paraded his gun and crooked smile.

It was annoying.

Using gloved hands, Lip clipped the lines of all the phones (seriously who still used landlines?) in each office, trusting Graham and the rest to get rid of any of the cellphones he didn't already douse in the brunette woman's Starbucks. There didn't appear to be any cameras, giving them the freedom to wander around while Kai kept watch on the victims and Marie kept watch on the door. Graham was left on pilfering duty while Eli went through the offices for useful information (and perhaps another car). Lip was more of a free agent, the odd one out compared to the rest (sans Sherry) since he didn't specialize in anything in particular. His current duty was clearing the area of evidence, but there was also the matter of money. If necessary he would also be the one to crack the safe.

Though the organization was small, they had a safe hidden in one of the offices that, if sources were right, had well over ten thousand in cash. It was chump change really, nothing compared to a bank, but considering that all of that money came from suburbanites and rich DINKs, he didn't feel so bad. They were just flaunting their wealth and not for a worthy cause either, just some fucking butterflies in a foreign country. The Crimson Wolves would put the money to use for their own lives and even if they didn't well, it would be a fun ride. Certainly more fun than having kids, buying some stuff, moving to Florida, and dying in peace.

BANG!

After wiping the counter clean, he cringed at what was presumably Kai snapping.

Are you fucking kidding me? he thought as he pulled out a gun of his own. It didn't sound like a gunshot, but the fact remained that they were drawing attention to themselves.

"Control your brother!" Lip yelled from one of the offices, only half-listening as he walked to the back room. From what he surmised Elias found something useful, Kai was kept in check, and the hostages were shying away in fear.

Everything was going about as well as he hoped.

In the back room they kept the safe hidden behind a stack of books and a cabinet and guarded by a combination. He could pick the lock easily enough, but the tumblers would be trickier. Much to his surprise, it wasn't an ordinary safety box but an industrial safe. He'd need more than a screwdriver and a bobby pin. Pulling out a stethoscope he began listening to the tumblers inside of the safe as he rotated the numbers from left and right.

This was much easier two years ago than it was now.

He looked around, wondering if Graham was still rifling through the drawers of the hostages. Graham appeared to be one of the better suited of the Wolves to pull off something as delicate as safecracking but fuck it. He was Phillip Hannah and he could do things his own way.

Discarding the stethoscope, he pulled out a power drill and pierced the face of the lock until he could reach the center and rip the lever out of the way of the door. Lip could always step up if the occasion called for it. Sure it wasn't the cleanest method but like his morals, the rest of him was falling to the rush of the Crimson Wolves.

With his hood resting just on the top of his head as he looked down at the various cards in his hands, dropping the unnecessary and useless crap that people liked keeping their wallets. Receipts, pictures, expired punch out card. Shit. The upside from all this was making fun of the hilariously awful photos they had on their ID’s. What the fuck? He chuckled as he entered a new office. What a beaut.

He headed into one of the corner offices, flicking the card to the far end side. Hearing it make an audible clunk sound before landing on the desk and gracefully falling behind. Graham stuffed the remaining wallets into his pocket as he rested into, the extremely hard, swivel chair. This was a simple job, risky but simple. Graham was used to this by now and at least there were no real signs of danger. But he knew not to let his guard down. Every time you do is when fuck ups occur, needless fuck ups.

Sitting for a moment he looked around seeing if there would be anything worth snagging just laying around. The only real things in this one were files on boring subjects. A snorefest really. It was your basic desk - three drawers on each side with a lock and just enough leg space to fit two small children, unless you count the computer tower that could probably heat you up faster then catching yourself on fire.

Grabbing hold of one handle he pulled. “Thank you.” He started shuffling through the paperwork - checking the back, front and sides. It was mostly random files and work documents scattered throughout making it clear he was in the human resource department. This went on for the next two and left him unamused. “Junk. More junk. And pure shit.” Slamming one shut sending out a jingle. “Lovely.”

As he yanked the top draw on the other side it was more likely he would pop his shoulder out of his socket. Maybe we’ll have something here. “Key. Key. Key.” He muttered moving some loose paper. Nothing. “Oh wait.” He plunged his hand into his pocket grabbing the small metallic kit. Graham slid the chair back and got down on one knee slowing sliding the piece into the lock and a few clicks later gently unlocked it. This was definitely the “personal” draw. To bad it didn’t have anything special, although he did pocket a Nikon camera.

Leaving the office he went through the rest of the wallets again ditching the useless crap and pocketing the things that would be useable. Aside from the debit and credit cards he snagged he managed to scrounge up almost a hundred dollars from the first three wallets and a few of the offices he checked out. Decent enough for now. Times like this he wished people would carry more cash than plastic but nothing a little adapting couldn’t fix.

Graham lost track of how long he was away and figuring that they should be getting out of there decided to head back to main room. As he walked he wondered what the others were doing, hopefully none of the hostages were making a fuss but seeing as there were no gunshots going off must mean Kai's got it under control. He popped into a few more offices before making it back. “We ready?”

Watching the man groan about his car, a small smile tugged at the corners of Elias' mouth. He watched the display of Kai kissing the man on the jaw before his brother started heading out. Tugging the car key to the Jeep out of his pocket, he called after Kai. "Hey! Aren't you forgetting something?" Elias called after his brother, dangling the keys in between his thumb and index finger. After dangling them for a brief moment, he tossed the keys in Kai's direction.

Elias turned his attention to Graham then. He tugged another car key out of his pocket, and inspected it. "Here, take the Volvo. Find Sherry and take her with you." He said and handed the keys to him as he started towards the front door. Finally, this was almost completely over. Not like he didn't enjoy doing it, but he didn't enjoy being in a situation for too long. His adrenaline high would keep him in a good mood for a while before he'll need something else to pick him up again. Really, he didn't need something to pick him up; or at least that's what he thought. He stopped just in front of the door, his mind wandering back to Lip who was still somewhere in the office. Dammit. He rolled his eyes back as he turned around on one heel and made his way down the hall of offices to find him.

He just wanted to get back to Marie already. She was the best thing to come off of a high to. "Yo! Lip, let's wrap it up man!" He shouted in the direction of the back room. Shoving his hand into his pocket, he pulled out the remaining keys and found his way to the nearest bathroom. Finding one that had bland beige walls, and a small dish of potpourri on the edge of the sink just near the end of the hall. He tossed the keys he had fished out of his pocket into the toilet and then turned to head back to the front of the office.

Pausing by the hostages, he looked at them all with a small grin on his face. Shaking his head a little at their pathetic, scared faces, he pushed his way out of the front door. Right there, across the street was the familiar blue car that never stopped giving him ultimate relief when seeing it. Taking long strides, Elias made his way across the street and tugged open the passenger door. Sliding his way into the car, he sat down and looked over at the beautiful woman in the seat next to him.

A pure, warm smile stretched across his face and eyes. "God that beautiful face, I've missed it so much." He spoke in a soft groan. Leaning over towards Marie, Elias reached a hand towards the side of her face. Sliding his hand along her cheek letting his fingertips land on the tips of her ear. He leaned his face in close to her, still smiling widely. "Why do you have to tease me so?" He whispered and moved his face closer, his lips brushing gently across hers.

Marie sighed as she lend back in her seat glancing to the glove box where her semi-automatic glock was hidden. Murder crossed her mind, she figured she could probably get away with it, one simple bat of her eyelashes she’d have the officers fawning over her. However as criminally active as Mimi was murder was probably going a little too far, that didn’t however mean she wasn’t capable. She was a ridiculously good shot thanks to her dad, she’d been skilled at using a gun since she was fourteen.

She lit up another cigarette as she waited for Elias, her thoughts going to him like they often did. It was ridiculous how much she thought about him. When he’d been in prison it had never once crossed her mind to be unfaithful and if the day came that he ever decided to leave her, she’d be a total train wreck. She haze eyes watched the door before glancing to the clock and back to the door, they’d been in there for what felt like forever and the longer they stayed in there more anxious she became.

Finally the doors to the building opened and Elias was walking toward her in one piece and a sigh of relief escaped her red painted lips. She took a finally drag off the half burnt down cigarette before flicking it out the window as an over played Red Hot Chili Peppers song played on the radio. Her eyes followed him around to the passenger side of the car where he slide into the passenger seat and she couldn’t help but bite her lip and smirk as his eyes meet hers. He was still breathing. Still Hers. And more importantly still alive. she knew every time they did a job, all it took was one small thing to go wrong and she could lose him forever.

His smile always gave her a since of relief. "God that beautiful face, I've missed it so much." his voice a soft groan the drew her in. He leaned in towards her, placing a hand on the side of her face and his touch burned her skin, his touch was always. He lend in closer and it took every bit of her not to kiss him, because she knew he had more to say. "Why do you have to tease me so?" He whispered he whispered his lips grazing hers, driving her wild.

She couldn’t take it anymore, she lend in pressing her lips to his and kissing him hard, letting him know just how grateful she was that he was safe. She pulled away then “I tease you cause I like to keep you guessing.” She breathed seductively against his lips, before leaning in closer and pressing her lips against his jawline, tracing it teasingly letting her lips linger every time her lips touched his skin, finally pulling away completely and starting the engine. “Can we please get the hell out of here now?” she asked waiting for his approval that everything was good for them to take off.

The safecracking must have taken longer than he thought because he could hear his ex-partner-now-partner-again-in-crime yelling at him to hurry.

Yes, please use my moniker. I'm sure no one here's going to jot that down, he thought sarcastically as he finished cleaning the drill.

He cared little for the condition of the safe, but the drill was a beauty. It helped the two of them in every job that they couldn't crack with a simple stethoscope and even a few that they simply wanted to brute force. It meant that they didn't need to invest an hour into dicking around and fearing for the cops (although there was the looming fear that they could set off glass alarms or something of the sort).

The rest of the process boiled down to shoving as much money as would fit into the duffel bag and then putting the rest into his off-brand backpack and catching up with Elias who split the car keys among Kai, himself, and possibly Graham. The usual tactics were to divide and conquer, preventing the police from catching up to them too fast. Granted, they were unlikely to find them unless he'd missed one of the alarms (or there was a cop who was just that vigilant) but he'd rather be safe than sorry. He was unsure whose car he'd be going in but he was pretty sure that Eli wouldn't trust him to drive by himself. More likely they'd be in groups of two or three, taking different paths before convening at a motel or camping somewhere near Route 66.

He exited the building after gazing at the hostages one last time, wiping the prints off the door as he left. Pretty much everyone was here and as it was, they finished a clean, injury-free job.

Marie waited in the car, Kai was ready to go, Sherry finally had a role to play (which was to say get in the car), Graham was probably riding with Kai or Sherry, and Elias was in the passenger seat.

"If you had the time to try fucking your girlfriend you could have helped me unload the safe," he said bluntly, knocking on the hood of the trunk, "open up."

"We should throw a wedding. I'm sure we can find an officiant at this time. Worse comes to worse I wouldn't mind being ordained. Heard it takes like an hour to do online." He flashed a dumb smile before Eli spoke up grabbing his attention.

"Here, take the Volvo. Find Sherry and take her with you."

"A Volvo? Now that's riding in style. Graham smirked gripping the keys. "Splitting up the team. You sure you can handle being by yourself?" He nodded over to Kai as he headed out of the building, the brisk night air caressing his face as he slid his hood down changing face. "You're with me Sherry." He called out. Sherry hadn't been with the group for long but so far she handles herself well enough and made for fair company. Plus she was pleasing to the eyes which didn't hurt anybody. Adjusting the keys in his hand he repeatedly clicked the unlock button on the key looking around for the car.

Graham spun around quite humorously looking for the blinking lights before spotting them nestled in a tight spot only a few cars up the street. "And there is our chariot." He headed to the silver four door. It was an older model, 2010 S40 with a small dink in the bumper. Once settled inside he threw an empty coffee cup out of the window and started the car.

The radio immediately started blasting some country track that took Graham by surprise. "No." He pushed the radio's power button. A good once over of the car is a prime starting point. Just in case the poor schmuck left behind anything of worth. The car is like a second home to some people, hell just look at Mimi and her Impala. Prime example. She keeps that thing in tip top shape and you can see it. This was not as nice. Loose trash was scattered around "neatly" stuffed into the netting on the car doors. Mostly junk so he stopped looking when he finally put the car in drive.

“I tease you cause I like to keep you guessing.” Elias' eyes fell shut slowly as he tilted his head in the direction of Marie. The way her lips brushed against his jaw line caused him to let out a huff of air he had been holding in. She was always so good at unraveling him. Making him forget about everything else that was going on. As soon as she pulled away, reality snapped back and his eyes shot open once again. “Can we please get the hell out of here now?” Elias turned to look at her, and just as he was about to speak, he was interrupted by someone approaching.

At first, it caught him off guard and he reached for the gun at his backside. He tensed up, his heart started pounding in his chest. But the sound of Lip's voice had him relax some. He was still tense, and his heart was still pounding, but his hand left the handle of the gun. He didn't realize it, but his jaw was clenched tightly. He took in a deep breath and let it out slowly in order to calm down a little. He tuned his attention to register what Lip said.

"If you had the time to try fucking your girlfriend you could have helped me unload the safe," Elias turned then, to see Lip banging on the trunk for Marie to open it. Elias shrugged his shoulders a little in response, even though Lip wouldn't be able to see it. "You managed pretty well, didn't you? I figured you were a big boy." He responded with a bit of attitude, shouting out of the window loud enough so that he would hear him. As his attentions stayed out of the window, his hand closest to Marie traveled onto her lap, giving her leg a little squeeze near her knee. His hand moved away, reaching behind his back to take the gun out of the waistband of his pants.

Locking the gun once again, he reached forward into the glove compartment, placing the gun inside with the other one that was already resting in it. After closing the glove box, he reached behind his ear and tugged the cigarette free that he had placed there earlier. Resting it between his lips, he turned to look at Marie once again. "I know you have a lighter somewhere in here... he spoke with the cigarette in his mouth, causing his voice to sound a little muffled.

Sherry Lee

When Sherry originally met the group, she was a waitress at the diner contemplating whether or not to either start school once more or run off again. At the time, her father was in urgent need of an heir as her mother became barren. He figured that if Sherry hadn’t returned then he’d trick her to come back with allure of wealth. Whatever was going through his brain at the time, Sherry did not know- who would want a child who ran off and became an escort at one time with little to no education to become an heir to an important company? Sherry guessed this little detail didn’t make it to her father’s mind.

Not wanting to get involved in such a world that took complete control of her life and freedom, Sherry ignored the offer and never once contacted her father regardless of how many times he’d contact her. She figured that if she couldn’t get into the colleges around these parts, she’d just leave. College education was something she wanted for herself but Sherry knew it wasn’t necessary nor was it really all that interesting so leaving wouldn’t bother her that much. However, before she could even ponder on such a predicament even more, she met the gang. Sherry had no real intentions of actually being on their side and only wanted the momentary thrill that holding a gun that aimed at the police gave her. It was only her luck that the group decided to accept her after she did such a small act. It didn’t matter though as this was the chance to not only find her own form of thrill and adrenaline but to also escape her desperate and ignorant father.

Sherry gave a small sigh as she thought about the pitiful man. Funny how when she runs away he suddenly knows her name and begs her to come back when her mother was proven useless in whatever role she played back at the house. Perhaps it was the fact that it took seven long years for her father to actually contact her after she went missing that pissed her off. She figured that a normal parent would worry their asses off for an eighteen year old who suddenly disappeared. It didn’t even bother him that she had taken a small sum of his money to buy the plane ticket and to help her live off of it for a few months.
“Bang.” Sherry held the gun limply and her eyes no more showed the amusement it once had. All of these detestable thoughts had quickly made Sherry quite bitter and while she tried to swallow down the growing malice, it still surfaced in her chocolate eyes. She honestly hated thinking about the man just as much as she hated anyone who found out her little ‘secret’.

The door to the entrance of the building swung open, suddenly bringing Sherry’s attention to the task at hand. She lowered the gun as she watched each of the men file out, Elias came out first followed by Kai, Graham and lastly, Phillip who carried a duffle bag that she assumed was filled with cash.
"You're with me Sherry." Graham said as he walked passed her, playing with some keys she assumed that Elias gave him. Sherry gave him a small shrug and hopped off of the electrical box, dusting herself off before following Graham. She watched him as he pressed the unlock button, spinning around in such a manner that made Sherry question his sanity and humor. "And there is our chariot." This ‘chariot’ was a silver four door Volvo that had a small dent on the bumper. Sherry had little knowledge of automobiles so she couldn’t fully appreciate a good car when she saw one. Not to mention that the lack of having a license didn’t help her situation that much either.

She followed Graham towards the car, opening the passenger door to be met with a small pile of napkins, dirty cups and wrappers that were all seemingly pushed underneath the front seat. “With your guys’ skill, wouldn’t stealing a new car be easier?” Her words had hints of humor sprinkled in to ensure that he knew she was joking. Sherry bent down to sweep the trash outside, silently thinking that she’d never eat at a fast food joint again. Once done, she stood straight up and dusted herself off and rubbing her hands together to get the grimy feeling off of them, jumping back slightly at the sudden blast of country music. “So how’d the search go?” She said as she sat down in the seat and closed the door. “Find anything interesting other than car keys and cash?” Sherry referred to the duffle bag that Phillip was now putting into Mimi’s trunk.

She waited for him to say that it was alright for them to go, she kept her hazel eyes trained on him, however something seem to catch him off guard and he tensed quickly, reaching for his gun. She was honestly a little terrified to look out her driver window, but when she turned it was only Lip. He made her skin crawl, she didn't quite trust him.

"If you had the time to try fucking your girlfriend you could have helped me unload the safe," he called to Elias boldly as if Marie couldn't hear him and she scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Open up." he ordered banging on the hood of her car and she would have love to tell him to fuck off, only Elias smarted off to him before she got the chance.

"You managed pretty well, didn't you? I figured you were a big boy." he said with a hint of attitude that Marie hadn't missed, making her smirk as she popped the trunk to her car, glancing at Lip in her rearview mirror.

She felt Eli's place his warm hand on her leg, near her knee, lightly squeezing it as if he could feel the stress she radiated being around Phillip or doing what they were doing in general. The heat between them was undeniable and his touch, even through her tight jeans, set her skin on fire and relaxed her tensed muscles. She felt him moving around a bit as she glanced to him as he slipped his into the glove box next to hers, before reaching behind his ear and placing his cigarette between his lips. Her eyes fell on the rearview mirror, watching Phillip again.

"I know you have a lighter somewhere in here..." he spoke and she didn't have to look at him to know he had the cigarette placed between his lips, his muffled words hinted to that.

"Really babe?" she smirked as she glanced to the cup holder where her rose gold Zippo rested. She grabbed it, leaning over and kissing his cheek leaving a pair of faded red lips on his skin, before she dropped the Zippo into his lap. "Your so cute when you can't find things. What would you do without me?" she teased as she opened her car door and stepped out, pulling her seat forward so that Lip could get in when he was finished. She lend leisurely against the door.

"Come on Phillip we haven't got all day." she said glancing to him as she pulled her hair to one side.

Lip rolled his eyes at Eli's attitude, momentarily locking eyes with Marie when she popped the trunk open. He could take Elias not trusting him, that was normal, but Marie took her hatred to a passive-aggressive level. It was typical for new partners to be wary of old ones, especially...when they happened to be traitors. She didn't act as though she was going to kill him, but it wasn't uncommon for him to get the evil eye or some cold jabs whenever the occasion came up. He put her boyfriend in jail, he ratted him out, yadda yadda...he'd already heard all of it and then some.

More than that he was sure that she relished the opportunity to display how much better of a partner she was than he ever was. Did she feel threatened? Did she think think that her little romance would fall prey to their old habits? Whether she liked it or not, all she did was drive the car. She didn't plan the jobs to the same extent that Elias did or case the banks like Elias did (not unless they were going in as a couple). He didn't want to say that she was jealous (because she had plenty of reason to hate him) but sometimes he had to wonder why she kept such close of a watch on him. It wasn't like Phillip could run away a second time.

Well he could, but he wouldn't forgive himself.

He slammed the trunk once the money was inside and muttered a "yeah yeah I'm coming" as he slipped into the back. As usual, the Impala was impeccably clean. Despite the fragrance of cigarettes (which he described as a fragrance because he reveled in the scent) that permeated the seats, the car could have been sold beyond market value due to the effort that Marie put into keeping it new. Seats were without tear, windows were as new as could be, and the door still had those classic roll down windows. If she wasn't so spiteful he could forgive the fact that their iconic 1966 Impala was helping them get recognized.

"If we're all ready let's go."

"Really babe?" Elias let out a small lighthearted laugh. "Really." He said after she laid a kiss on his cheek. He lit the cigarette, taking a deep puff. "You're so cute when you can't find things. What would you do without me?" Elias laughed a little shaking his head. As she got out, Elias used the time to recline his seat a little further and get more comfortable. He was at the mellow state of his adrenaline rush where he started to mellow out. It was this part that he looked forward to the most. The feeling that they made it through yet another adventure.

It wouldn't be long before his mellow state will dissipate and in result, he will end up searching for another way to climb the hill. "Come on Philip we haven't got all day." Elias could definitely tell that there was an unusual vibe between the two of them. He figured it had to do with how things happened when he went to jail. Frankly, he couldn't blame Marie for her distaste. And personally, his likings and trust towards Lip could definitely use some work.

"If we're all ready let's go." Lip said, knocking Elias out of his spaced out state. Finally they were ready to go. He noticed Kai in the Jeep behind them, and Graham and Sherry in the Volvo was also in sight. Elias took a long, drawn out drag of his cigarette while waiting for Marie to get back in the car.

"Alright beautiful. Do what you do best, get us home safe." He said as he rested his head back, running a hand through his hair lazily. It was only a matter of time before they would be back, and probably after a night of celebrating (because who needs sleep), they'd be back to gearing up for another wild adventure.

As usual, Marie took the lead in driving as to direct their path and function as the "psuedo" mother for the group. Key word being "psuedo" as the rest of them were hardly children, well except maybe Malachai. Phillip knew that Marie preferred "Mimi", Malachai preferred "Kai", and most everyone had their own preferences for nicknames but he rarely abided by them. The impersonal thing to do was call them by their full first names, although Eli acted as the exception. He alternated between "Eli" and "Elias" (pronounced "E-lI-as" if you asked him), not by choice, but because it felt odd to stick to one or the other.

"So how many jobs you two pull without me in here?" he asked as he popped a piece of gum into his mouth.

He popped a bubble before letting the nicotine slowly drift through his system. He'd bought this crappy gum every time that he tried to quit smoking but could never get through the pack before reverting to old habits. Sure he got a quick fix, but the gum didn't do shit to ween him away from tobacco. Now that he had a car where the windows were typically rolled up, he had a use for the stuff. Tonight (read: today, but too early for the sun) he would be one of the ones thinking of a new job and hashing out an escape route if things became sour. Closing his eyes he decided to push those thoughts until they found a rest stop.

It took around an hour to arrive and be (rudely awakened) by the street lights and odd sounds that came with staying at motel. Malachi booked two connecting rooms with enough bedding for everyone, something that Phillip had to applaud given the propensity for motels to give people the worst deals possible. They had a bed for each person and then a pull out for Eli and Marie. Just kidding.

"Right well I'll be out here havin' a smoke so," he paused as he spat the gum and pulled out a lighter, "so rest of you feel free to choose."

"So how many jobs you two pull without me in here?" Phillip had asked from the backseat, drawing Elias' attention from a thoughtless daze he had been in. His mind had been fairly focused on getting his next fix as soon as they had made it to their next destination. He glanced over at Mimi with a small smile before glancing over his shoulder and back at him.

"Between just Mimi and I, maybe somewhere in the double digits?" He said questionably as he glanced over towards the beautiful woman next to him. After a short glance, he turned towards Phillip again and shrugged. It didn't really matter how many times he had pulled jobs. It just mattered to him that they got out clean and managed to reward themselves with their takings. Moving to sit back in his seat, he relaxed a little. However, it was only a few minutes before he was pulling out a cigarette and a bottle of Blue Moon Belgian White he had tucked under the seat. Thank god for twist-offs. He had thought to himself as he popped open the beer and knocked back a few huge gulps.

Lighting his cigarette just after making his way midway through the beer, he took a few deep drags trying to inhale a high from the mixture of booze and tobacco. It was after he let out a long and slow breath of air, clearly relaxed and practically sedated. He couldn't help but to smile a little at the feeling the alcohol and tobacco had given him.

An hour passed by of silence, however, Elias didn't mind. In fact, he kind of enjoyed it, especially since his high gave him the feeling that he was drifting his way along the road and no longer riding as a passenger in a car. When they had arrived and his younger brother had managed to get the rooms, Elias stood in the parking lot for a few moments contemplating before he was once again dragged from his thoughts by Lip. "Right, well I'll be out here havin' a smoke so the rest of you feel free to choose."

"So how's quitting going there?" Elias asked as he walked over to him, pulling out a smoke as well and lighting it. "Besides, when do you want to start plotting out another jig?" He asked with a small nod in Lip's direction. He pulled a small bag from the inside of his sock then, taking a cigarette he'd emptied out, out from his pack. He took small pinches of the green bud from the tiny baggie, loading up the cigarette every so carefully as he huffed and puffed drags from the one resting in between his lips.

“Go threw the camera?” Graham glanced over to Sherry. “What for? I doubt they’d have anything worthwhile.” He tapped two fingers on the steering wheel gripping it tighter looking back to the mirrors. There was a cool breeze that kept swirling around the trash that littered the street with the dirt making little tornado in the middle of the street. Reminded him of home which then reminded him of his family. Fuck his father. The man never did shit for them.
Thinking about the subject only made him grip the wheel harder until he let out a deep sigh. “Y'know what,” He flicked the cigarette out of the window. “Let’s look at them.” Graham grabbed the slick black camera and holding in the power button until the blue screen lit up with the logo and light jingle. “Hell there might be some funny shit. Let’s hope for it huh?" As the camera finally powered on a glint took his attention, it was time to get going. “Here.” He handed the camera over. “If you see anything that is due for a laugh show it over.” He smirked putting the car in drive and falling behind the others.

It wasn’t the shortest drive in the world but it certainly seemed it. When they pulled into the parking lot it was practically something like Psycho. But lets face it if it was between getting stabbed to death in the shower and prison. Actually he might just pick getting stabbed in the shower. With everything that’s happened prison might as well be a death sentence. His time in juvie was enough for him to want to distance himself from jail. Which meant he’d need to get better and being on the other side of the law. Graham slammed the door shut, as usual, and proceeded to the rooms Kai had so thoughtfully picked the group. “Oh man, I can feel the bug bites already.” Once inside he took a seat at the foot of the bed and laid back stretching his arms overhead. “Not the worst place we've been.”

Overhearing Lip’s invitation to anyone to join him for a smoke, or at least that what he figured then again it could just be a “I’m doing this you can too” kind of thing. Graham replied with a slight wave of the hand that was almost certainly unnoticed. Resting a hand under his head he shut his eyes waiting for everything to get started.

"So how's quitting going there?"

Phillip shook his head before he lit his cigarette.

"At the least I'm smoking leaves instead of crystals," he replied with a shrug, "I've gone through five different phases of drugs but the one that I can't quit is the one that the government loves the most."

It was symbolic in a way, that a man perceived as a dog of the government would smoke one of the only drugs the government allowed to destroy the body of their people. Compared to Eli who rolled a joint to relax himself Lip needed the stream of nicotine to stabilize himself and get rid of the anxiety that came with every job. Sure, it helped having the others backing him up but no one would be there to reassure him of success. He was on an island of his own and in many ways he preferred it to the close knit relationship that Graham (who waved off his invitation) and Malachai had. He was fine with just smoking in silence and perhaps, planning the next job.

"I don't know what you're thinking but we aren't that far from Vegas and it's gambling season. They've got cars, money, and douchebags worth stealing from. If we play our cards right (no pun intended) we could have you or me case MGM while Graham looks for hole in security," he paused to exhale, "I'm not really sure what Sherry or your brother would do but I'm sure he could show her the ropes when it comes to acting like a criminal."

It wasn't really his place to decide but they were partners so he could always suggest things, crazy or otherwise. In honesty it sounded like some Ocean's Eleven stuff but if the police already wanted the Crimson Wolves so they might as well go big. He knew that the MGM was big and the investment would be even bigger but the payoff could be huge. They just needed everything to go according to plan.

Being the first one there, Kai busied himself with fishing out a couple of crumbled dollars from his pocket and buying a soda out of one of the machines. It was canned, which was kind of annoying, but he couldn't be picky, especially when the vending machine had snickers bars. He got two, then disappeared inside the room just as the others were filing in.

Graham made a crack about bedbugs and Kai nodded in agreement before sitting down on the same bed as his best friend, just up against the wall instead of on the edge. He took one last drag out of his cigarette and dropped it in the ashtrey on the bedside table before thumbing his coke open.

The door was still open, so he could easily hear what his brother and Philip were talking about, which caused him to raise an eyebrow while he listed. He hadn't realized they were close to Vegas, but piecing back together the places they'd hit recently it made sense.

Of course, it boiled down to him being worthless again. For whatever reason, Kai was the perpetual thorn in Lip's side. Which was fine with him, Kai wasn't in the business to make any more best friends, but it was slightly annoying. He could do shit, alright?

He had no fucking clue what MGM was, but that was completely besides the point.

"I can count cards," he offered. He actually could, too. It was a talent he had picked up in High School. Kai had always excelled at Math. English he was shit at, he could hardly spell his own name much less anything else, but numbers? Hell yeah. Someone had once joked that it was because he liked money so much.

Regardless, there was a bit of an underground gambling scene at his school. Win the game, score some drugs. He hardly even learned how to play before he learned how to count. It was kind of a pointless talent when you could steal things but...fuck, it sure could cause a distraction. Especially in an establishment that big.

"Put me on a table and everyone will be too busy watching me to have a clue you guys are up to something." Kai took a swing of his soda, rested his arm on one of his bent knees. Distraction. Kai was good at distracting. He nodded over to Sherry. "She's a bombshell, I'm sure she could keep eyes on her too. As a back up plan."

"I don't know what you're thinking, but we aren't that far from Vegas and it is gambling season. They've got cars, money, and douchebags worth stealing from. If we play our cards right (no pun intended) we could have you or me case MGM while Graham looks for holes in security. I'm not really sure what Sherry or your brother would do, but I'm sure he could show her the ropes when it comes to acting like a criminal." He didn't particularly like what Lip was describing, simply because he still thought the group was a bit sloppy. At least when it came to Kai's reckless sense of logic.

Lighting his weed-packed cigarette after tossing the butt of the other cigarette, he remained quiet in contemplation. Frankly, he needed the assistance of the pot to get the mental gears turning again. Kai chimed in from just inside of the hotel room he and Graham had claimed, and Elias didn't turn his attention to his brother but instead he simply listened as his brother's voice carried out into the parking lot. It didn't really occur to him until he registered his younger sibling talking loud enough for them to hear. Which meant anyone else nearby could hear their conversation.

Taking a quick visual sweep; he figured it was safe enough. He inhaled another puff of weed, letting the smoke settle in his lungs for a few seconds just before exhaling. Kai had mentioned counting cards and using Sherry as another distraction. The idea was pretty far out there, but the more the conversation carried, Elias could feel the tingling sensations in his hands grow impatient and restless. His subconscious clearly craved the idea, and his body was already responding to the need of adrenaline. However, the rational side of him was stuck on just how risky it was.

After Kai spoke, the conversation seemed to silence a little, and Elias used the time to finish smoking his spliff. They would need more than just Mimi to get away, they would need to carefully plan every detail, and they would most certainly need to execute it as according to plan. Elias' mind wandered to what his part would be, and his first thought carried to the idea of his job being something that wouldn't send him back to prison. Go figure. Mentally shaking his head, he blinked slowly as he flicked the butt of his spliff into the parking lot.

Kai was good at numbers, he knew that for a fact. But having him count cards didn't seem like the best use for his brother. It was then, that Elias' mind conjured up an idea his mind considered to be brilliant. Before he could even start to think it through like he normally did, his mouth was blurting out words. "Or we could have Kai on cracking security codes. Mimi and I can cause a 'drunken lovers' scene in the casino, and Sherry can be a second distraction on the floor. Phil you can go with Kai and Graham..." His mind trailed off for a moment before he managed to pull yet another random idea from his very stoned mind.

Turning to Lip, he shook a pointed hand in his direction as a dark and excited smile lit up his face. "Even better. Why not be a bunch of rich bachelors and bachelorettes for the night? Graham could hold down the limo outside, which might be a little bit of a dent on the funds- but if we do shit right, that won't really matter..." He trailed off once again. It was then that he wasn't even sure if he was making any sense anymore, but some parts of his ideas seemed to sound pretty good to him.

"Fuck it, let's just talk about this shit in the morning. Why aren't we celebrating with some fucking beer right now?" He asked as he turned towards his brother. "Kai. Beer run. Yes.. or yes?" He asked, waving his gun in one of his hands. It was always the pot that relaxed him enough to let his old self surface. The reckless daredevil that used to live so dominantly within him. Ever since he was behind bars, that side of him rarely surfaced, however, the assistance of marijuana always seemed to do the trick. Not to mention the little kick his adrenaline always gave him.

"I can count cards. Put me on a table and everyone will be too busy watching me to have a clue you guys are up to something." Kai took a moment to nod to Sherry. "She's a bombshell, I'm sure she could keep eyes on her too. As a back up plan."

Lip turned his attention to the Asian woman, sizing her up before Elias chimed in with an equally good, if not more hedonistic plan. He didn't enjoy the idea of leaving Sherry alone without giving her more training on this type of matter, especially since he didn't know much about her background. It was just like Elias to be paranoid one minute yet still succumb to living on the edge. That wasn't to say that the Crimson Wolves weren't already doing that, but Lip liked to think that their sort of hellraising promoted more safety and control. What Elias asked of them required more than a small dent in the funds. It meant investing in brand name clothing, two rooms at the least, training Sherry in a few days, and having (almost) everyone draw their attention on Marie and Eli. Not to say that he didn't believe in the duo to show off their chemistry but that they would need to execute their arguments to a tee and that Marie wouldn't be able to be in the getaway car.

"Sounds like something straight out of a movie," Phillip muttered, taking a long drag, "but I could see you two causing a scene."

After Elias declared that he'd go on a beer run, Lip stamped out the rest of his cigarette and headed toward one of the rooms.

"I'll pass on the beer," he said, "just let me know when you're done gettin' drunk."

Unlike Elias whose energy level climbed higher and higher with each word Phil felt more and more exhausted.
